She walked in and then soon as she walked in, see this lady sprinting. Okay. >> And she came to the count. I'm like, "Ma'am, you're going to have to go to a class from G10." But before I even get to finish my sentence, she started getting all around >> calling me names, telling me you're going to get me on a flight. And then I called her and she didn't hear her screaming >> when she was coming down. As officers wrapped up their report on the case, another situation was taking shape. This time involving a minivan, an airport runway, and a drunk woman who lost her way. Because it say it sounds like when they found you, you were on the taxi way where planes drive and land. >> Okay. >> Which is a a >> On the 5th of September 2025 in Washington, officers responded to an airport taxiway regarding a minivan driving on the active runway. Here's what happened next when the police arrived. >> Hi there. >> Hi. >> My name's Officer Kid. I have to let you know you're being recorded. >> So, what's going on? I just got a little lost coming from Ellie's from the restaurant. I'm not familiar with Arlington area. So, I was just trying to get back to >> and I just got a little lost. I was trying to follow my GPS. >> How did you get into the airport? >> I don't know. I just followed >> Yeah. Did you come through a gate? >> I don't know. I just followed the >> Can you turn the car off for me? >> Sure. >> Thank you. Um and it didn't take you through a gate or anything like that? >> I don't think so. I just follow the route that it said to go. >> Okay. Cuz that's not realistic because it would never take you onto a secured airport lot because it says it sounds like when they found you, you were on the taxi way where planes drive and land. >> Okay. >> Which is a a big deal that you were on the taxi way. >> Yeah. I didn't I didn't mean to. I'm so sorry. I was just trying to get back home. >> Okay. Have you had anything to drink today? >> I mean, I just had a drink at brunch. >> Okay. Okay. Do you have keys for the car? >> Yeah. >> Can I Can I go swim really quick? >> Sure. >> You know, you might be drunk if you're sharing the road with airplanes. The officer then asked her to step out of the car to do some sobriety tests. Do >> you mind stepping out of the car for me, please? Sure. >> What was your first name? My apologies. >> Linda. >> Linda. Okay. >> Thank you. And we're going to walk right back here to my car. >> Okay, that's perfect. right there. Um, so you can look. There you go. Um, my concern is that you've had something to drink today. That you now are impaired and you're driving on a secured airport property where planes are taxiing and now you're putting people at risk of being harmed because you're driving on a taxi way. Is that clear? >> Okay. >> Okay. Would you want to do some tests for me? Make sure you're safe to drive today. >> Sure. >> All right. So, with your eyes and your eyes only, without moving your head, can you follow the pen? >> Yes. >> Okay. There you Blake. Sorry. Looks like your eyes are watering. Don't not trying to blind you. So, this next test is called the walk and turn. What I'm going to have you do is plant your left foot on that line. Put your right foot directly in front of it and your hands down at your side. Beautiful. Just like that. So, for this test, you're going to take a series of nine heel to toe steps. Okay. When you've completed your ninth step, you're going to plant your lead foot and take a series of small steps around that lead foot and then do the same thing back in the direction that you came. Okay, you may begin. >> Okay, now you go back three. Just do the test as I instructed. Perfect. Thank you so much. Okay. Um, so for this test, go and put your feet together, hands on your side, just like you're doing. This test is called the one leg stand. So, what you're going to do is raise whichever foot you would like. I don't care. Approximately 6 in off the ground, keeping your foot parallel to the ground. You're going to look down and you're going to count aloud. 1 1,002 1 3 until I tell you to stop. Okay. All right. You may begin when you're ready. Code for fields. Keep going until I tell you to stop. >> All right, you can stop. >> After a series of tests, the officer determined that she was intoxicated, which is no surprise. I mean, she drove into an airport runway. What could be more drunk than that? >> Okay. Well, right now you're going to be under arrest for DUI. Put this head on on top of your head, please. I'm going to have you hop in the car for me. Here, I'll hop in all the time. Talk to you in a second. >> Linda, have you ever been arrested for DUI before? >> No. >> You have you ever been arrested at all? >> No. >> Okay. So, I want to get you home today. I don't want to take you to jail if I don't have to. Uh, we still have to process you for the DUI. Okay. Okay. >> But it'll take a lot less time out of our both of our days um if I don't have to take you to the jail, right? And then you get to go home after all this is done. Okay. Um so what we're going to do is I'm going to take you back to the police department. We have like the breathalyzer machine. Okay. And if you're good to give me the sample, um I'm going to read you some stuff, some paperwork, and then we'll do that and then I can get you home. >> Okay. >> Okay. Does that make sense? >> Yes. >> Okay. I'm going to get you buckled here. You want to lean back if you can? So I don't >> Is there someone we can call for you? >> Um it's necessary. >> Okay, totally fine. >> The officer then transported her to the station where she was given a breathalyzer test. >> So we're going to do the same thing that we did last time. This will be our last test as long as we get a good sample. Okay. And then we'll work on getting you out of here. So there you go. Keep going. Keep going. You got to go for a little bit. You're doing great. Keep going. I'll let you know when to stop. Um, your husband's coming to get the car. Do you think he'd be able to pick you up from the PD >> to take you home? >> I think so. It depends on the time we have our kids that come they go off on the bus. So, >> what time do they get off the bus? >> Like 4:20. >> Okay. Like if not, I can always get you right home. Okay. Walk this way. I'll have you take a seat. You're being released from custody. We're going to walk around to the front of the PD. Uh your husband's on his way to come get you. So, I just wanted to give you a place to sit that wasn't at jail. So, >> after a while, her husband came to pick her up. >> No, sorry. Um she has all the paperwork. She got the citations. She has a copy of her test results. Um and the DO DUI hearing request form. Um, so if she does decide she wants a hearing, she can fill that out and send that. Um, >> should I talk to you for a second? Is it possible? Nothing. >> What are the test results? I just don't I'm just confused cuz I got lost and I don't know why I'm penalized for getting lost. >> Shouldn't be your test results on that page right there. >> Okay. >> We can chat over here if you prefer. >> But just for a second. >> Yeah. I'm not expecting to change the situation. I just try to understand. So >> yeah. So what happened if you would like to know? We got a call about a vehicle that was driving on a taxi way at the airport. Obviously, it's a secured one. Absolutely. How she got in, I have absolutely no idea. Um, and when I contacted her, flirted speech, typical behavior um that we see when somebody's intoxicated and so she was subsequently arrested for DUI. She performed field sprite test for us. Um, obviously didn't provide any issue. Um, she did the breath test and we have the results for that. So, she's being cited for the DUI. >> Okay. I just think there's a mental health thing, you know, associated with that. um they get permission or whatever, but I I know it's not your problem. >> I can have empathy for the situation and to be completely honest, that's going to be something that you would want to share with the court. >> That's that's kind of what I'm trying to say is just like talk through that situation. Okay. >> Because we can't obviously >> you do and I appreciate the empathy with holding the I appreciate all that. I just try to You're as surprised as I am about >> Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like I said, we um >> we have to do what we have to do. But the court should reach out within two weeks. I kind of explained to Linda, but I'll let you know, too. If you don't hear from them within 2 weeks, I would reach out. It has my information on there. It has a case number. If you don't hear from anybody, you can always give me a call. Um and then my entire report will be completed today. And so, if you guys do want a copy of my report as well, body camera, everything. >> Yeah, it wouldn't hurt to Well, anyway, I just know what you're going to do. >> You can do um a public disclosure. You just do it on the city of Arlington website. >> So if you do want a copy of any of my report stuff, you can get a copy of that as well. >> So, but if you feel like you don't have something when you get home that you need, just give me >> No, I just we're going to just put things in contact. That's our response. >> No problem. >> The woman was charged with DUI and reckless endangerment in Washington. Both DUI and reckless endangerment are considered gross misdemeanor. >> Pass from the airport. You can't fly from >> How am I trespassing? >> Because you're belligerent right now. Come on. It's okay. options now. OKAY. >> CAN I WALK ON THE SIDE? >> YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN OR YOU'RE GOING TO LEAVE. >> Can I walk ON THE SIDE OF HIM? >> THIS IS not a Here we go. >> On May 23rd, 2025, airport officers responded to a disturbance at a Frontier terminal where an intoxicated passenger was demanding to board a flight. Here's what happened next. >> Go to the not secure side. Go up to the front desk. >> I got my dad. >> I got my next YouTube sensation. You're on camera. You're on camera, too. >> So, your dad's probably going to be embarrassed by Let's go. You have to go front now. >> They kicked me off the cup right there because she was drinking. >> No, they came off the flight. >> They felt that you were uninforced alcohol. You weren't happy and they got you off the plane. >> And they got me off their plane. >> Now it's time for you to leave the secure side. These deputies are going to escort you. They're going to do what? >> Escort you escort me. I'm going to walk myself. >> But it's time for you to leave now. >> You tell me. It's time for you to leave now. >> At 4:42, it's time for me to leave. I'm walking. >> Excuse me, officer. Um, >> yes, ma'am. >> May you please? >> Well, let's walk and talk. >> Okay. >> She said that, but not even a minute of walking later, she stopped and started arguing with the police. >> You can't help me by walking away. >> Okay. So, no no listen. >> Yes. >> Okay. I'm going tell I'mma tell you this one. I didn't threaten nobody and none of that. >> But you did show up drunk to your flight. And if your voice can be heard from half of the terminal away, then you are the problem. Alpha 3. Correct. It be your own kind. >> But they're the ones that called us. Okay. >> I'm going wait right here with you. That's right. >> Until you get back. >> I can't go nowhere.
