Meanwhile, the Nissan was hauled away by Cough's towing as officers wrapped up a stop that spiraled far beyond a simple registration issue. On April 8th, 2026, Los Angeles police officers identified a BMW tied to a felony investigation while patrolling near Central Avenue in Town Avenue. The driver, later identified as 30-year-old Jesus Ernesto Haimey, accelerated away from officers and moments later rammed directly into police vehicles after turning against traffic on an offramp. Investigators said the driver kept fleeing until troopers forced the Range Rover into a stop beside a truck towing a boat. He was later booked into the Plantation Key Jail following medical clearance and DUI processing. On February 4th, 2024, Arkansas State Police prepared for trouble after deputies reported a stolen blue Nissan Maxima racing southbound on Interstate 55 following a theft at an Ultier Beauty store in Jonesboro. Troopers soon spotted the car nearly rearending innocent drivers while weaving down the interstate at more than 120 mph with three Tennessee suspects inside. airport 275. >> Left on college. >> Left on college. >> Stand by. Troopers recovered suspected ecstasy pills, psychedelic mushrooms, stolen beauty products, a Glock handgun, and drug paraphernalia from the wrecked car. Prosecutors later stacked charges ranging from felony fleeing and tampering with evidence to drug possession and theft by receiving. On May 10th, 2023, multiple Florida agencies joined forces after investigators linked two suspects to a string of vehicle burglaries stretching from Orlando to Tampa. When deputies attempted a traffic stop in Hillsboro County, Jakari Arnold and Data Hines decided speeding away was apparently the better career move. Arnold and Hines were both arrested on charges, including burglary of a conveyance possession of burglary tools, and fleeing law enforcement at high speeds, leaving investigators with a rolling evidence locker instead of a simple traffic stop. Friday, July 7th, 2023 began with an Arkansas State Police trooper spotting a black Tahoe flying down Asher Avenue at nearly 90 mph. Driver Marvin Jenkins briefly slowed at a red light before accelerating again through parking lots and city streets while the damaged SUV slid wildly on ruined rear tires. Okay. Then you're going to go to jail. >> I'm going to jail, sir. >> You're going for fleeing. >> For fleeing? >> Yeah. >> You're going to jail tonight. Okay. >> Hey, did you stop my camera restart? Jenkins was eventually taken into custody outside a quick food mart where he explained that he was trying to reach his mother's house and repeatedly told troopers he was paralyzed. Because of serious pre-existing medical conditions, jail staff declined admission and Jenkins was ultimately released into his mother's care after being cited for felony fleeing, reckless driving, speeding more than 15 mph over the limit, and unsafe lane changes. On June 5th, 2021, an Effingham County deputy clocked a black Mazda flying down Interstate 16 at more than 90 miles per hour without a license plate attached. The driver, Rebecca Grenel, responded by pushing speeds to 118 mph while weaving through traffic, sideswiping another vehicle, and dragging deputies across multiple counties. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Here it get Grenel and passenger Jared Een both tried running after the stolen Mazda was finally disabled, but deputies and K9 Messi quickly shut down those plans in the woods nearby. Investigators uncovered stolen identification cards, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the car. Grenel later received charges including felony fleeing reckless driving, driving under the influence and theft by receiving stolen property before serving several months in prison prior to parole. June 30th, 2022 turned into a full sprint across Arkansas highways when a Dodge Challenger blasted past troopers at speeds climbing beyond 130 mph. Officers chased the car through Interstate 30 and Interstate 440 before the driver lost control and crashed out near the Interstate shoulder, sending one suspect running toward nearby ponds and tall grass. 48. everything on it. You got to put in the car. >> I can't fit in here, sir. Like, see, I'm too big. I ain't lying to you. Troopers eventually detained multiple occupants while recovering firearms from inside the Challenger and searching for the fleeing driver around the water's edge. Investigators questioned passengers about the weapons and who had been behind the wheel, turning the wrecked muscle car into the center of a sprawling felony investigation instead of a late night joy ride. On February 17th, 2023, New Mexico State Police joined a pursuit already spilling over from Colorado involving a suspected drunk driver weaving across Interstate 25 near Maxwell. 40-year-old Steven Haskins briefly pulled over before taking off again, drifting from shoulders to medians while officers warned each other that the vehicle could turn deadly at any second. >> Turn off the car. Haskins was eventually arrested after officers forced the chase to an end and learned he had allegedly consumed about a pint of vodka before getting behind the wheel. Court documents later claimed his blood alcohol level tested nearly three times the legal limit, leading to charges including aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless driving on top of his prior driving while intoxicated history. Friday, June 27th, 2025 became a neighborhood spectacle when Arkansas State Police spotted a silver ATV ripping down public roads at 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. The rider, later identified as Joshua Pitts, glanced back at the patrol car and immediately accelerated through residential streets while ignoring stop signs and sharp turns. about doing blackmail. He later claimed he only fled because he wanted to make it home and show paperwork for the ATV. Prosecutors instead handed him charges including fleeing by vehicle fleeing on foot, speeding improper ATV operation, and driving without a license. February 14th, 2022 saw Arkansas State Police dealing with a battered truck that looked like it had already lost several fights before the chase even started. After officers forced the truck to a stop, the driver was quickly secured before anyone nearby ended up seriously hurt by the reckless driving. Investigators focused heavily on how close the suspect came to colliding with other vehicles during the pursuit, turning the damage pickup into another reminder of how fast roadside chaos can spiral out of control. Late one evening in Lynchburg, Virginia, troopers spotted 44year-old Lewis Edward Fields blasting through city streets on a motorcycle at more than 80 mph in a 35 mph zone. Instead of stopping, Fields accelerated into a twisting pursuit through multiple intersections while racing the wrong direction against traffic and ignoring red lights [music] across town. Fields later pleaded guilty to felony, eluding and driving on a suspended license, leaving him facing years behind bars after a reckless ride that nearly turned several busy streets into disaster scenes. During a daytime patrol in Palm Beach County, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper spotted a gray Range Rover flying down Interstate 95 at roughly 90 mph. Driver Oddly Alfred eventually surrendered after crashing into an elderly woman's vehicle and [music] stopping in the middle of traffic while officers surrounded the damaged Range Rover. Investigators later discovered large amounts of marijuana and cocaine packed inside an Adidas duffel bag, leading to charges including fleeing and eluding possession of cocaine with intent to distribute possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and habitual traffic violator. One afternoon in Arkansas, a teenage motorcyclist without a helmet caught the attention of state troopers after speeding past patrol units with no license plate attached. Troopers also questioned him about possible narcotics and damage to another vehicle during the pursuit, while prosecutors prepared felony fleeing charges tied to the dangerous ride. On August 13th, 2021, a Georgia State Patrol trooper spotted a black motorcycle speeding along Victory Drive in Chadam County during the early morning hours. The rider glanced back at the patrol car and immediately launched into a runaway sprint that pushed speeds to 135 mph through Savannah streets.
