April 18th, 2020. Just after 1 in the morning, Kurdine police were already dealing with a chaotic string of reports tied to a 37year-old local man, Daniel V. Stinson. Investigators said it started with a black Ford Explorer taken at gunpoint, then quickly escalated into a shooting call that had officers racing to Midtown. >> Ready? information 46. I'm unsure of the occupant number. Looks like possibly just one. I don't know. [Music] >> Location now. I'll get a mile post here in a minute. We're coming up to one right now. Miles 88. Uh speeds are still 708. [Music] Shots fired. Fire. Shots fired. SHOTS FIRED. [Music] GO GO GO tired [Music] male driver. [Music] Thank you. [Applause] [Music] rolled over. my vehicle. [Music] [Applause] >> Crash. [Music] >> As soon as you firefighter, >> as soon as you hit him in the road, I called you out. So, um, but seriously, especially when you try not to fall too much. >> Yeah, but still. >> I kept getting close thinking he was going to turn around and start shooting at me. >> Yeah, that's why he kept like that on. By the time it was over, Stinson was sitting in the Cutnai County Jail with a $1 million bail on carjacking and robbery related charges, while the homicide investigation kept moving on a separate track. Police said one victim did not make it at the scene. Another was treated at Cenai Health with injuries that were not life-threatening. Idaho State Police also reported a patrol sergeant had minor injuries during the response and multiple agencies split the followup between the shooting case and the pursuit review. A preliminary hearing was set for April 30th. July 16th, 2025, around 3:47 in the morning, Thornton police flagged a stolen Ram pickup truck and called for Colorado State Patrol backup. The truck did not politely accept the invitation. It pushed the situation onto busy interstate lanes while troopers tried to keep it contained. >> 1075 >> 84th and Grant Robertson. [Music] He's running from me southbound I 25 from 84th >> copy on the highway expression 925 from 84. Will you confirm that plate you cut out? I got boys Lincoln John 9. [Music] >> The driver ended up in custody a short distance away, caught on foot by Thornton officers. Colorado State Patrol said the trooper involved was not hurt and the investigation continued while the scene was cleared. Southbound Interstate 25 was shut down temporarily, then fully reopened by 5:20 in the morning. Officials also emphasized the Grappler tool is meant to reduce risk to the public, even when the suspect decides to turn it into a demolition derby. April 15th, 2023, Florida Highway Patrol locked onto a vehicle running Interstate 95 through Brevard County. And the radio traffic made it clear nobody expected a calm ending. The pursuit energy built fast with units coordinating positions and calling moves like a team sport that nobody asked to watch at highway speeds. [Music] 33 traffic [Music] 86 bravo Juliet Yeah. Yeah. We're going to lock them in here. They got nowhere to go. Nowhere to go. Just slowing down. Just slow them down, bro. Stay where you're at. Slowing down. They can't go anywhere. [Music] >> All right. They're about to They're about to lose. Get him. Get him. [Music] did this one. [Music] The stop ended with a roadside arrest and the scene shifted from chase mode to control mode in seconds. Troopers ordered the driver out, hands visible and kept commands sharp while backup stacked in. Medical help was requested at the scene and the suspect was secured while officers sorted out the next steps. Then it turned into paperwork, lots of it. March 3rd, 2024, around 2:34 in the morning, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper spotted two Chevrolet Camaros entering the highway at high rates of speed near Tampa. The white Camaro stood out immediately. Aggressive driving, constant lane movement, and enough behavior to make impairment a real concern. 58949. It does show does show valid 51 25. Watch out. I think that [Music] will turn south to a business [Music] turning back towards exiting 54th Avenue North. Westbound 54th Avenue North. >> Now going eastbound [Music] 22nd Street. LET ME SEE YOUR HAND. >> The driver was later identified as Barnard Stokes Jr., taken into custody after he tried to run on foot while the passenger vanished into the night. Troopers noted signs consistent with alcohol impairment, and Stokes later refused to provide a breath sample after being advised of the consequences. Records showed his license was suspended with multiple prior convictions for driving while suspended and prior fleeing cases. He was transported to the Penllis County Jail, booked on driving under the influence refusal, driving while license suspended third or subsequent, fleeing to elude at high speed, and resisting an officer without violence. February 24th, Tennessee Highway Patrol picked up a pursuit at the Tennessee Georgia Line involving Cordarius Caldwell, a suspect authorities said had already slipped away the night before. Troopers were trying to arrest him on an aggravated rape case. And by daylight, he was back on the road acting like traffic laws were a rumor. He's passing in the emergency line up here. [Music] >> Okay. This traffic is big. It's not getting out of our way. He's uh he's ahead of us. He's uh he's now going by the 170 left. district [Music] cover. vehicle. [Music] [Music] He just he just causes a direct out there. I just had time. Uh, we need to do something about this. He's talking about disregard officers and everybody need to work over something. He's got damage in that vehicle there. Uh, tell him this man. You're breaking out right now. >> Okay. Get your hands up. Caldwell was ultimately taken into custody, ending a sequence that had officers working across jurisdictions and time frames. State officials later released the dash cam footage, documenting the danger his driving created for commuters and responders. The case did not end on the roadway. It carried straight into custody in the court process. For everyone stuck on that route, the real relief came when the risk finally stopped moving. October 25th, 2025, around 4:20 in the afternoon, Modesto officers were dispatched to a home invasion where four masked suspects allegedly held a family at gunpoint. The suspects tried to flee immediately, turning a violent report into a rolling emergency. [Applause] [Music] I THINK [Applause] [Music] that possible matching Dallas more for Taurus 33. I know channel 333 from 33. [Music] >> We're westbound Glen Arbor coming to Dallas. Be pursued. All match in the description. Rolling the stop northbound Dallas. Uh passenger in the back. Looks like he's seen right at Lakeville. >> West Harbor 833. All takeover comms. All right, pit is uh mobilized and successful. [Music] >> Get your hands up. GET YOUR HANDS UP. DON'T MOVE. Put your hands up top of your head now. >> Get your hands up. Get your hands up. Y'all move. >> Put your hands on top of your head now. >> All four suspects were taken into custody, including three juveniles ages 14 to 17 and 22-year-old Benjamin Vasquez of Stockton. Investigators said multiple firearms were recovered and detectives tied the group to a similar incident in Union City involving the same vehicle. The earlier Union City call on October 24th was initially reported as a possible kidnapping, but officers said the child was safe and the situation appeared to be an attempted home invasion instead. Once the arrests were made, the focus shifted to charging decisions and connecting the dots across both cities. August 18th, 2023, Palm Beach County deputies and Florida Highway Patrol were dealing with an armed carjacking suspect who decided the best plan was to gamble on speed. The suspect's logic was simple. If the wheels keep spinning, the consequences cannot catch up. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. A little bit. [Music] Bdale. Heat. Heat. Oh, single class. [Music] You're smoking. I believe it's tired. 285 1066 106 All right, vehicles now. Northbound jog. Northbound jog approaching BGA. Is that FHB 1066 here? >> No, keep on going. Keep on right approaching TJ. [Music] >> 97. Remind those units school zones. Remind them school zones if helicopter. All right. [ __ ] sweetie, you turn back from God. [Music] >> Can you advise the helicopter still? The suspect was taken into custody and the case rolled straight into booking and bond decisions. Reported charges included reckless driving with damage to a person or property, aggravated fleeing or eluding with injury or damage, and driving on a permanently revoked driver license. Bond information was listed across the counts reflecting the seriousness of the flight and the alleged offenses behind it. The takeaway was not subtle. Florida does not reward that kind of confidence. On Monday, April 12th, a Foresight County caller reported a reckless driver tossing a suspicious bag near a business lot, and deputies quickly treated it like more than littering. A bulletin went out for a black Dodge Charger with possible ties to recent thefts in the area. >> Hey guys, hey, top me in the car real quick. Y'all have a seat in the car real quick, man. >> Sit down. >> Y'all sit in the car. Stay in the >> car. >> DJ, pull up. Block them. >> We got that car stopped. It is Arizona tag four times. It's taking off. radio. We're signal 12 with it just based on the 39. Believe it's going to be an inter crew 45 black males. We're going north on Highway 920. [Music] >> Go ahead and notify north and south precinct. South >> 7530 radio on south signal 12 with that 78 of that black charger 45 to five males occupied believe it's going to be an enter auto crew just based on 39 northbound highway 9 coming up at Lake Center Parkway >> run that tag that I gave is out of Arizona. [Music] 35 [Music] right on this end. Right on. [Music] [Applause] Hands up down. Roll it down. PUT HANDS IN THE AIR. ROLL THAT BACK WINDOW DOWN RIGHT NOW. Roll it. Hey DJ, pan. [Music] >> Hands up. >> Down. >> Ready. We trying to pin them. Get us more units, please. >> Deputies took the occupants into custody after they refused to cooperate at first. And the story got worse once the vehicle was searched. Investigators reported ski masks, hoodies in hot weather, marijuana, and multiple firearms, including highcapacity magazines. Authorities said the driver, Kushon Hawkins, was held on an $18,140 bond. and passengers Javvon Sherid and Contrell Hawkins were also booked with charges tied to marijuana and firearm possession by a convicted felon with separate bond amounts listed. One passenger, Arrington, was released without charges because even chaos sometimes has a surprise guest star. June 3rd, 2024, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper paced a white sedan in the Interstate 95 express lanes and clocked it well above the posted limit. The driver briefly pulled over like he was ready to play nice, then changed his mind and treated the shoulder like a private lane. [Music] Now the break pull out the break. Hands out the window now. [Music] First Heat. Heat. Good luck. [Music] 235. [Music] [Music] Right. Thank you. [Music] FEELING calm already on the main line right next to us. You might get out on the main line. >> The driver was later identified as Damian Alexander Rivas and he was taken into custody once the scene was secured. Emergency medical services were requested and Rivas was transported for evaluation before the case moved forward. During an inventory and search, the trooper reported finding marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and Rivas later acknowledged the substance. He was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail facing charges that included fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, possession of marijuana under 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a driver license. October 21st, 2023, late at night in Walton County, Florida, troopers were dealing with a stolen sport utility vehicle tied to a carjacking report. Dispatch traffic painted an ugly picture. A suspect allegedly took the vehicle while the owners were out of it, then struck the husband during the getaway. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Headquarter. [Music] [Music] The suspect was pulled out and taken into custody and the legal cleanup turned out to be just as messy as the scene. Records listed an outofcount warrant with the suspect released to another jurisdiction and the grand theft motor vehicle charge was dropped. The fleeing charge was handled with court-ordered probation and bond was set at $15,000. It was the kind of night where the roadway eventually reopened, but the consequences did not. November 29th, 2024, Clayton County deputies tried to stop a white Cadillac CTS with dark tinted windows near a gas station off Tara Boulevard. The driver, later identified as 25-year-old Timothy Tukes, did not stick around for the conversation, and deputies quickly realized this was not a simple stop. [Music] Hey [Music] 138. [Music] [Music] Tuks was arrested and booked and deputies said the car contained a teal Glock 48 handgun and an open container of alcohol. Investigators also noted he had no valid license and two active felony warrants out of Dalb County for sexual assault. Tuks reportedly admitted he ran because he did not want to get caught with his brother's gun, which is not the legal shield he thought it was. Charges listed included felony fleeing or eluding, reckless driving, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, open container, and driving without a valid license. August 8th, 2024, just before 2 in the morning, Deputy House received a bulletin from Decalb County about an armed robbery and a Red Sport utility vehicle with a Georgia tag. The deputy spotted the matching vehicle on Thurman Road and the driver, later identified as Taurus Brotten, immediately made it clear he was not interested in being cooperative. >> Northbound coming up. Based on the boat though, I'm going try to wait till I get some other units with me. You can let PD know too cuz I just parked at something. Go on C road road coming up to Morland now. [Music] They just committed a car jack against a 34 vehicle. We're southbound on more than now 67 and I should be able to get up there. [Music] Height is 41 to a curve outside these stove going on 47 miles an hour [Music] coming up east con here [Music] hit [Music] Brotten was taken into custody and emergency medical personnel checked him before he was transported for additional evaluation. A search of the vehicle turned up two firearms, including one with an extended magazine consistent with what was described in the bulletin, and both were logged into evidence. The vehicle was turned over to a towing company and investigators notified the Dalb County Robbery Division as the case shifted from pursuit to prosecution. Once the hospital cleared him, he was transported to the Clayton County Jail without incident. September the 4th, 2023, early in the morning, Arkansas State Police were looking at a parole suspected of being under the influence of narcotics behind the wheel. The driver did not treat the stop like a warning. It turned into a situation where troopers had to prioritize public safety fast. [Music] numbers turn on the distribution. Are you checkmate? Going back to production. Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. On your face. On your face. >> The suspect was ultimately taken into custody, ending it with a physical arrest rather than a clean surrender. Officers used less lethal tools during the takedown, and the suspect was secured once control was established. From there, it shifted to medical checks, booking, and whatever parole consequences come next. The only thing that did not make it into the report was a good excuse. November 29th, 2023, late at night, Arkansas State Police were in the middle of stopping a fleeing pickup when the situation turned into a sudden emergency for everyone on scene. The patrol unit ended up engulfed in flames and the priority became getting people and gear out before it got worse. Here, go ahead. Go around me. [Music] Probably we're going to be able to see [Music] Adam 15's got it. I'm in behind him. Uh 45 mph. Just turn back left on green. [Music] Coming up to Chico. Going right on Chico back towards Litter Rock. >> 35 looking for a TBI, I believe. TBI. TV on wrecked out. [Music] Back on the roadway. Back on the roadway. He just rolled it. He just rolled it. He's randing. Show me your head. [Music] Everyone was reported to be okay, which is the one sentence that matters most. Troopers rushed to clear equipment from the burning unit, but many items could not be recovered in time. Once the scene cooled down, the incident shifted into documentation, recovery, and repairs. It was the kind of reminder nobody needs twice. Machines can be replaced. People cannot. August 30th, 2023, just after midnight, North Little Rock police requested help on a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle on Interstate 30 westbound. Arkansas State Police took primary shortly after and the driver, later identified as Dominic Quentyn, made it clear he was going to try his luck in the worst possible way. Heat. Heat. Get out. Get out. [Music] Not a good TV. finishing off theater 950. See no traffic. [Music] They're working for 849. [Music] Quentyn was taken into custody after a foot chase and officers recovered suspected marijuana linked to what he was reaching for while running. Medical personnel transported him to the University of Arkansas for medical sciences for evaluation and he was released back into custody. The vehicle was towed for the North Little Rock Police Department, and Quentyn was charged with theft by receiving, fleeing in a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, careless and prohibited driving, driving wrong way on a oneway, speeding, and disobeying a traffic control device. Even with all that, the most impressive part was how fast he turned stolen car into stack of charges. April 4th, 2022, around 6:30 in the evening, New Mexico State Police officers Daniel Sadilos and Joshua Galagos were patrolling Highway 5150 when a pickup came at them the wrong way at a high rate of speed. Officer Galagos spotted it first and suddenly the normal patrol shift turned into a split-second decision problem. >> 103 at the moment. Attack 15. Vehicles not stopping. Going to be in a pursuit. >> Do you have a vehicle description? >> White Chevy pickup. Blue barrel in the back. Uh almost rammed me. >> I'm showing a an expired tag. Expired coming back to a blue 1996 Dodge. 10 for uh speeds currently 88 uh in uh the southbound lane of travel. Uh heavy heavy roadways going back from uh shoulder to medium. Bus right now. further about the pit. [Music] >> Successful southbound [Music] traffic. Is he back in the regular lane of traffic? Aim. He's back right now. I don't trust that he's going to stay there, though. Let's just hope he does. And wait for those sticks. >> I can't tell. I could just see his head sticking up. He's slowing down. I'm going to try to pit again. >> We're slowing down at the 106. Let me see your hands. Let me see your hands. KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF. KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF. ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW. THE DRIVER was eventually arrested, ending the incident with handcuffs instead of another close call on that highway. The pickup was secured and officers transitioned from active response to investigation mode. While the roadway situation stabilized, any impaired driving angle became a jail issue, not a traffic issue, because the risk had already been proven in real time. For everyone else on Highway 550 that evening, the best outcome was simply getting to keep going home. We've reached the end of this pursuit, but what's coming next will leave you stunned. The following video takes you straight into another round of highstakes encounters you won't believe were caught on camera. Click over and see how officers handle what happens next.
