You expect us to believe that you're like, I was the last person to see her alive. You think we're going to believe that? You're smarter than that. >> Can I ask a question? Yeah, go ahead. Are you guys trying to get a confession with you killing Brittany? >> Meet 18-year-old Bryce Dickey. Hours ago, cameras captured Bryce driving off with 16-year-old Gabrielle Ulaki into a remote Nevada desert before she mysteriously disappeared, making Bryce the last person to ever see Gabrielle alive. >> You can see that we have some footage that kind of contradicts what you said. >> Cuz that's her walking across the street. Is that >> your truck? Do you have a little signal thing? >> In this town with less than 15,000 people, detectives now believe that they may very well be sitting across a teenage murderer. A murderer that has left behind a trail of devastation, secrets, and years of harboring a deep obsession. >> So, yeah, he was the last one to see her and we see her here. >> And now nobody can find her. None of her friends, her phone's not on. >> That's not good. That's a body. Yeah, let's get out. >> On March 9th, 2020, Alicia Tolesy found herself living any mother's worst nightmare. Her teenage daughter, Brittany Ulaki, was nowhere to be seen and had been missing for just shy of 24 hours in Elko, Nevada. Panicked, she called the police to file a missing person's report. And when they arrived, it was clear that the family was already fearing the worst because not only did Brittany have a ton of friends, but she kept in constant contact with them. And the fact that no one had heard from her since the previous afternoon at around 4:00 p.m. didn't bode well. >> And now nobody can find her. None of her friends, her phone's not on. >> Okay. >> Nothing. Not a friend. None of her friends, her best friend, nobody can find her. >> Is it worth mentioning that we had a big problem with a lowlife piece of [ __ ] last summer that tried to daughter and he's still running around in Elko. Do you need to know that? >> Who is it? >> is Chris. And she came into my two nights ago just crying because he came up to her >> Why your daughter would get into trouble with this individual? >> He wouldn't get into trouble with her, but I don't I don't trust these I mean he's like 19 and he tried to hurt her last year. And then he won't leave her alone. He terrorizes her every time he sees her. >> Was there a police report last year? >> There was and when it came time for the detective to have her come in and talk, she couldn't do it. She just fell to pieces. Couldn't do it. >> Okay. Initially, Alicia offered a promising lead. For over a year, Britney had been harassed by an older boy in town who she repeatedly turned down and tried to get to leave her alone. For detectives, it was the first person with any probable connection to behind Britney's disappearance. But soon, Alicia provided another one because the day Britney went missing, March 8th, she had been with a childhood friend, Bryce Dickey, who claimed to have dropped her off with a new friend outside of the local school. >> This is one of her best friends, okay? Now, mind you, this Isaiah works at Subway. She says, "I am so sorry. I didn't have Messenger and download it until this morning to see your message. I talked to her a lot yesterday, about five times. She was waiting for Bryce to come get her at Subway where Isaiah works. I don't know what could have happened because she tells me everything, Alicia. I swear, good or bad. She would have told me if she was running away or if she was meeting someone." >> So, so that So, now we know she went to Subway yesterday? >> She was at Subway waiting for Bryce like afterwards. >> Yeah. >> Armed with information about the last person to see Britney alive, police actually coordinate to go talk with Bryce in the place where he last saw her. But already, the detective speaking with Bryce has a bad feeling about him and he wastes no time hiding it. But first, if you want to see people just like Bryce fail miserably and get caught in their lies, be sure to like and subscribe. It's literally all we do here. >> Hey Bryce, how's it going? >> Good, man. I appreciate you meeting me here. >> Yeah. >> No problem. >> So, can I tell me around me through it so I can understand what's going on? So, I'm going to stand in the shade over here if you don't mind. >> All right, so Sunday, around 11:00 >> Okay. >> I started texting. Got a few texts from Britney and just asked if I wanted to hang out. Uh said sure, got ready and stuff. Told me she could meet me at Angel Park and she said her dad was doing band practice. And then went to town. Called her when I got into town on 5th. And then picked her up at Angel Park. Drove around, went up towards Mountain View. And then uh asked her what she wanted to do. She had no idea. I said well, we just go drive around in Spring Creek since we got more room over there. So, we went back over the hill. We started chatting, talked about her finishing school. Asked her what it was like for me. Kept driving around and then we were over in the Horse Palace section and my dad called me asking if I could come back home. So, I told her I needed to go. Asked her if she wanted me to just drop her back off at Angel Park. And she said that she wanted to me to drop her off at the high school to meet her new friend. And said her dad was going to pick her up later. So, then came over here, pulled in. Pulled in right over there. Gave her a hug and stuff and then she got out. I pulled out and then started heading that way. And the F-150 was over there, but I didn't know that was where she was going at that time. And then got about right towards where it opens up and then looked back and they were both standing outside the truck. And then I got to the turnout right over there by the middle school and then the the F-150 was in motion. >> Okay. So, you picked her up at 1:30? >> Where did you guys go? I mean, you said you were with her for how long? >> Uh Drove here from 4:30, so that's 3 1/2 3 1/2 hours. >> Okay. >> Uh >> So, I'm sure that you didn't drive around for 3 1/2 hours cuz that's a waste of gas. >> No, I I drove around for 3 1/2 hours. >> Okay. That's all you did for 3 1/2 hours? That seems really odd that you just drive aimlessly around. >> That's what I do almost every day. How many days? >> Okay. 3 1/2 hours in that car still over there or what? >> Uh no, that's I was in my Chevy, but it gets worse with gas mileage. It was about half a tank worth, but I have to fill up anyways when I was quite two or three times a week. >> You just drove around, you didn't stop anywhere? >> No. Didn't stop at all. We didn't. Literally just kept doing circles. Drove around towards sports complex, looked back around looked at the housing section, looked at the horse palace section. >> I just think it's kind of odd. I think you know more than what you're talking. >> But I'm being honest, sir. I mean, not in a bad way, but any of my friends you can ask, that's what we do most of the time is literally just drive around straight break for hours. >> I don't know. I'm thinking you know more about Britney than what you're actually talking. >> I >> I've been doing this I've been doing this for a long time and I usually can smell somebody that's leaving out something. So, what are you leaving out? >> I'm not leaving out anything, sir. There's nothing that I'm leaving out. >> Okay. Right now is the time to lay all the cards down. >> I I I know this is a serious extremely serious thing. >> If I come back and I find out that that you're withholding information and being deceptive to me, >> then that's when charges and stuff start coming. Yeah. >> Yeah. Help me find her. >> I I'm I'm giving you everything I have. I literally she seemed perfectly normal. I didn't stop anywhere. We just drove around and talked for like 3 hours. >> Just a tip, if your interrogation with the police is going this poorly after just a few minutes, you are in danger and you might want to try talking a little less. Bryce, however, does the opposite. His original story is as follows. Bryce picked Brittany up at around 1:30. They then drove around aimlessly until she said she had to meet up with a new friend whom Bryce dropped her off with around 5:00 p.m. >> In that 3 hours of being together, you had to talk about a lot. >> Yeah. >> What did you guys talk about? >> Uh so, we started off talking about um that her that she'd finished all her credits in home school and that she was going to get her degree. So, then I talked about that. Talked about how school was going for me. Um issues I had at school earlier last week. Um how the um alternative education class I have is going. Uh that's what the other guy we talked about. Um uh the guy she's talked to for a while that I think I think moved out of New York or something like that. I don't know exactly. >> Why do you think that? >> Uh cuz I swear she said New York, but I do not remember her. Same thing with that's what we were talking about her. Cuz she used to talk about him. She had like a promise ring or something from him. >> Okay. >> Then talked about that. Cuz I don't know if I should open I talked about how my mom was doing cuz my mom has health issues. Talked about what my dad was doing, my brothers. Um She was talking about uh [ __ ] that is something I forgot. I didn't think about. Um she mentioned that after the summer she was going to move down to Texas with her friend, the one that I showed you in the picture. >> Okay. >> Bryce is very obviously and very poorly setting up a narrative that the mysterious man in the F-150, who was wearing a cowboy hat and had a toolbox on the back of his truck, is the person behind her disappearance. By implying that it was a guy and a new friend, it's pretty clear that he's trying to make it look as though she was pursuing some kind of romantic relationship with the mystery cowboy. When in reality, Brittany wasn't pursuing a relationship with anyone, but especially not with Bryce, whom she called her big brother and viewed as a friend, but absolutely nothing more. >> I don't know exactly. Kind of just trying to piece small bits of information together. >> Small bits. If she's your little sis, you'd think you'd know a lot of these little gaps. >> The last 2 years I haven't really been too close to anyone. Kind of lost contact with a lot of people. I mean, we talked pretty recently, but it's first time I've actually been able to like sit down and actually have like a full conversation with her in probably like months. >> So, what else can you tell me about this phantom truck and dude? Like be specific. >> Um okay, so it looked completely stock cuz it wasn't very tall at all. Um the windows didn't look tinted at all to me. Uh >> Were they rolled down or were they up? >> Up. >> Okay. >> Um it looked it looked decently dirty but just like about as much as that truck is right there. >> A typical truck that >> Yeah, typical spring cleaning truck. >> Like there's time here. >> Yeah. And then uh had a silver toolbox in the bed. Um it had stickers on the back window but I didn't see what any of them were. >> You're saying it was right over here and then you drove out that way. >> Yeah. >> How did you see the the the stickers on the back window if it's parked over there and you're headed out that way? >> No, cuz I came in followed the Maverick way in cuz I only go in through the Maverick way cuz I don't like that turnoff. So, I came in on the base and then pulled in through here. >> Okay. So, you came in the Maverick way. What time was that you said? >> Uh I dropped her off around 4:30. >> Okay. All right. Did you guys have drinks or anything with you? >> No. >> Did you have any drinks you could take with you or did you not? >> What do you mean like alcoholic or just literally a drink? >> Drinks, any drinks. >> Uh yeah, I had a Mountain Dew and a glass of sweet tea. >> You had Mountain Dew and sweet tea. Did she leave with any? >> No, she literally left with just her phone and her keys. >> Phone and her keys. Okay. All right. Did you mention I'm going anywhere? >> No. >> I was just about to ask you that. Why would you be so secretive with me if you guys are dating now? >> I don't That's kind of what we're all confused about cuz I mean every teenager keeps secrets, but uh she did normally doesn't keep secrets like that, especially the phone-wise, cuz she almost she would have text someone right after cuz especially your dad, she's like not in a physical way, but she's scared of her dad cuz she's gotten in trouble before, so she texts her dad a lot. >> Much to Bryce's relief, the interrogation is interrupted because his mom pulls up to join the conversation. And though she's heard little bits and pieces of the story through the grapevine, she has absolutely no idea that her son was the last person to see Britney alive, which is about to be a huge shock for her, especially considering the fact that she knows Britney and has watched her grow up alongside her son. >> I think I left you a message earlier. >> Um yeah, I got a I had a missed call. Sorry, I can't answer my cell phone at work. >> That's right. >> So >> I'm Doc. I would shake your hand, but I think you kind of got the crack. >> No, actually I uh I had allergic reactions to medicine, but yes. >> I'm Doc, so that was the one that was calling you. Um Bryce was with the kid that was missing, so we're just trying to figure out if he knew anything more information or trying to understand what's going on. So, that's what we're out here doing. >> Okay. And like he's got several phone calls on him and calls yesterday, and >> Yeah, that's >> After several phone calls, Mom starts to wonder what's the nature of the conversation, so I know he was acting >> Yeah, um so no, that's really what it is, is she's trying to figure out the exact facts and get the exact details and try to get >> Was anybody able to figure out who was the person that saw the green truck? >> Um that was me. >> Oh, that was you, okay. Can anybody describe you at the sorry, some of the conversations that us who would be talking to you just about anything like with me. >> Okay. So, yeah, here's the last one this year. And this year here and here in court the grand jury kind of things that for we're just trying to understand all that. So. That's what we're out here doing now and just really >> Today. >> Trying to figure out where they went, where they are talking, what they're what they're talking about. You know well where is Bryce? >> I wish you got that on any cameras I didn't like. >> Yeah, some places they do, some places they don't. So. Yeah, we all want to rely on the digital age and it's not always there. >> In this case, however, it was just not where anyone, and especially not Bryce, expected it to be. But before detectives have a chance to continue their conversation with Bryce, they receive an urgent call. Two searchers have made a disturbing discovery in the remote desert area of Burner Basin. When police get the call, they know instantly whose body they are about to find, but it still emotionally destroys them all the same. >> I hope that's a 10-99, that's a body. Yeah, let's get out. Yep. I can see a hand right there. Looks like a girl's hand with back out. We have a female body. We have a female body. I don't know if it's her or what, but we have a female body. >> Britney's body was discovered unclothed and wrapped in a tarp. She had died from being attacked with a sharp object. Britney was a bright light. She was feisty, funny, loyal, and loved all things Western and rodeo related. For her parents, she was everything, which only made the death notification that police had to make even more devastating. They called her mother down to the station to deliver the news in a safe, enclosed environment, but nothing can soften the blow of what she is about to learn. >> I just want to let you know that we have found a body. >> Can you help me please? Can you help me please? Can you help me please? >> I'll call some people. >> Okay. >> In situations like this, there is no comfort, only shock, pain, and devastation. But for law enforcement, it lights a fire unlike anything else. Seeing the unconditional love between Alicia and her daughter made police want to catch her killer that much more, which meant they needed evidence. And they knew just how to get it. Days later, they called Bryson for an interrogation with one goal in mind, gathering as much physical evidence against him as possible. >> Um like I said, you're not under arrest right now. If you think that I'm mute or something like that, you can get up and walk out. There are some questions I'm going to ask that you probably be thinking like what's he asking that for, but there's a reason, okay? And I'll explain it, all right? Um and like I said, if you have any questions or if you need to clarify anything that I'm saying, because I want to make sure that we are completely clear on what's being said and how it's being said. So, if you have any clarification whatsoever, you please let me know. >> Okay. >> What's your relationship with her? >> Um her and me have been online close friends since probably my seventh, eighth grade year. >> Oh, you've known each other for a while? >> Yeah. >> About two years? About two years? >> No, that was one of the issues we had with track previously is I I heard her go by >> Because her Twitter name and her name in my phone is Lil Sis, cuz she's called her big brother since like freshman year. And then he kept asking her what was she's Lil Sis, ranch or butter, cuz there was questions like that I didn't really answer to. >> Okay. >> And he kept denying all of that. >> Okay. >> And well, I guess get there get there and he spoke up. >> Uh it was So, she's texting you, did she text you first? Or I was going to say, what was that text on Snapchat? Did he ask Nacky first? >> I was just saying stuff to her quick beach was a thing. >> Okay then, I appreciate that. >> I honestly don't remember her texting first. >> Okay. Okay, that's okay. Um, and what did she say? Do you remember kind of how the conversation went? Was it And what I mean is I don't know how many of you guys and you didn't have a dating relationship. I don't know. No, okay. So, it wasn't like hey, let's hang out and and and go party. Okay, all right, it wasn't like that. Um, so she just wanted to hang out basically. >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right, so then you said and and you just so you understand, I'm not trying to have a pairing. >> It wasn't like >> No. >> Okay, okay. Is there anything on your phone that you would be concerned with us finding? >> No. >> No, okay. Do you have any problem if we take a look at your phone just to make sure that we're good to go? >> Yeah. >> Okay, cool. >> Bryce gives consent to search his phone, seemingly completely unaware of just how damning that's going to be for him. Because when police look at his phone location records, they discover that he and Britney were together that entire afternoon up until Britney's phone turned off due to being smashed and abandoned beside her body, meaning Bryce was with her at the time of her death. But there's even more damning evidence police want, DNA. >> And would you be willing to submit a um a buckle >> swab just for your DNA? >> What's a buckle swab? >> So, it is essentially just two Q-tips. Um, you can do it yourself. They're Q-tips about as long as this pen. You rub it on the inside of your cheek and then you take the other one and rub the inside of the other cheek. We put it in a box that way um have your DNA. It is suspected, correct me if if I'm wrong, but there was some kind of sexual activity um what they're suspecting. >> Okay. >> Um, not saying that you were that person and you have no reason to have your DNA in there, but you were the last person that we know of that was with her when she was alive. >> Yeah. >> Um, basically for you, it'd almost be like an elimination, you know, kind of like hey, this isn't our dude. >> No, I I I problem with that. >> Okay then, be right back with you, all right? Hey. >> Bryce may have thought this was the end, which is why it's important to stay in school, kids, because anyone who's watched a single crime show can tell you, the moment that swab was taken, Bryce's fate was sealed. Police bring him back for another interrogation. >> Well, tell me about Britney. Um what what what's she like? >> Um I'm going to have to ask you a question cuz that's that's a lot. Britney is not not in like a bad way or anything, but I mean >> All right. Well, what was Britney to you? >> Honestly, Britney was my little sis. Like I've known her since 7th or 8th grade. One of the closest people to me. Um I was going to say I didn't even start calling her I called her called her little sis for about the last 2 and 1/2, 3 years, but she called me big brother since probably about the like right after the first year that I met her, but um one of the closest people to me. Um she was A lot of people didn't like her for a lot of reasons, but she was very uh blunt and kept to who she was, even if a lot of people didn't like that. So, that was why a lot of people in North Spring Creek didn't like her, just cuz she was extremely honest. And then she was always happy. Um she would get in a lot of like actual fights, but then a month later she'd be best friends with the person she got in a fight with. Um she knew almost everyone. Seemed like there wasn't somebody in this town she didn't know. But, um she was extremely sweet. Pretty much always had a smile on her face. I haven't met anybody that's actually like had intentions to hurt Britney. >> The detective deliberately prompted Bryce to reflect on all the amazing things about Britney, her spirit, her dedication to friends, and her ability to always tell things the way they were. In that moment, the detective forced Bryce to look at her as a person, not an object or a conquest, which is sadly what he had been viewing her as all along. And now he's forced to reflect, just for an instant, on the real person he took away. >> Um if you could say something to Britney, what would you say? >> Easy. I love you. That'd be the first thing >> you would say. What about the second? >> Um sorry. Cuz I kind of blame myself for all this. Even though Well, blame yourself. I mean, I know that I didn't know what was going to happen, but I didn't mean I'm the last one that I mean saw her before it she's dead. And I mean, her mom even told me to promise that I wouldn't blame myself, but kind of still have a lot of regrets and all that stuff. I wish I would have done differently that day. Cuz I wish I would have just taken her back to town to her dad, but told her when I got the blood release was the first time I saw her after it all happened, but um I saw her in the night. We hugged and I said I was sorry, and kind of both broke down, and then she made me promise that I wouldn't blame myself. Stuff like that, and then the whole family kind of hugged me and just told me that I know I loved Britney and stuff like that, so >> Now, just out of curiosity, and we promise we won't tell your girlfriend, um have you ever been intimate with >> I got that question the last two times. Britney and I have never been intimate in any way. I mean like a lot of people get the wrong intentions cuz I mean, you know, with all my friends, but they call on my female friends love and stuff like that, but that's just kind of the way I was raised in a sense with the girls I was, but Britney and I have and I have never had a relationship or have been intimate in any way. That's why my girlfriend was comfortable with her is cuz she never flirted with me or anything like that. >> Did you ever want to be? >> No, no, never. No, I never had that want or urge or anything. I literally saw Britney as my little sister. >> And is there any way that your DNA could be associated with this case in any way? >> No, no. >> No, okay. >> Well, Bryce isn't lying about one thing. He and Britney weren't romantically involved. Her close friend shared with police and shared at trial that despite Bryce having a girlfriend, he had expressed that he was interested in Britney to her. Britney, however, nicely turned him down, telling him that she just wanted to be friends. Sadly, Bryce didn't take no for an answer. Near Britney's body, police located a contraceptive and on it was Bryce's DNA, matched using the buckle swab he provided in his previous interrogation. And since he's just stated the two never had a romantic relationship, he's going to have a little trouble backpedaling here. >> Well, I'm I'm kind of confused about a couple things. So, around 1:00 you figure out of Angel Park and then you come in the Boy Kennedy Road entrance to the school at about what time again? >> Uh 4:30. >> About 4:30. >> Okay. Um So, we got some surveillance footage from Angel Park. Um this is the camera and I know, forgive me for the the blurry photo a little bit cuz we printed it out. Um but down here is the time. And that was 15:20. >> Yep. Uh I don't know what time that is. 3:20. >> Oh, okay. Two hours military time. >> Okay. >> Two hours after you said. >> Yeah, so it's it's a little bit later than what you said. So, I'm just kind of confused. And I want to clear that up with you a little bit. Well, because that's her walking across the street. Is that your truck? >> Yeah, that looks like my truck. >> It doesn't look like his truck. It is his truck, undeniably. Picking Brittany up 2 hours after he claimed, but he's able to try and brush it off as an excuse. After all, who doesn't get times messed up? The only problem is it's not just the times that don't match the surveillance footage, it's locations. Because his truck was caught driving by a gas station away from where her body was located. In a place where he claimed he had never gone. >> I might be on off on the time. So, the only like time stamp that I personally have is on my phone of what time I called her when I got on her So, that's 2 hours. I It's really the entire time I was with her, I was not on my phone. Do you Do you see where >> I know I didn't see where you were, but I was concerned. >> I I understand that, sir. >> Okay. And the other thing I'm just kind of confused about, okay? And like I said, um I just want to clear this up with you, first of all. Um this is some footage from Maverick across the street. So, this is some surveillance footage um from the front of this store showing Boy Kennedy Road. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, if you look right here, um you can see Now, if you come over here, so right over here, uh >> Is that there? >> Yeah, right there. Oh, that's That's your truck right there. >> I think. Is it smudged together since it's so far away? >> Yeah. >> I think so, cuz >> Okay. >> I don't know how long it is. It's only uh >> Yeah, so this is the Boy Kennedy Road right here. That's your truck. >> Yeah. >> That's your truck going down Boy Kennedy Road. >> Entrance to the middle school and stuff is right here. It goes in the parking lot. And then there's the wrestling gym, which is right there, and then it cuts right and goes right to the middle school. So, that's where I went through. >> That's not what you said though. >> No, I said I went through the boy entrance. I didn't >> across Maverick. >> Yeah. >> Um what if I told you we had surveillance footage that appears your truck kept going out Boyd Kennedy Road? I mean, going down Boyd Kennedy Road. I just want to kind of clear everything up and get your explanation for this. Okay? Um because you seem like a decent guy. We've been sitting here chatting and stuff like that, okay? And I just want to kind of help you through this. So, that way um we can kind of explain this stuff. >> Okay. >> Okay. Um so, with these you could kind of see from my perspective when I'm looking at this, what that looks like, right? >> Yeah. Well, I I can see 100%. >> Okay. >> Um kind of well, I got startled after that um uh the third cop I talked to, the one that called me down to the high school, cuz um called me a liar, bro, three times and kept asking me if I killed Britney. So, I >> Somebody asked you if you killed Britney? >> A deputy did. >> Oh, okay. >> And it honestly startled the [ __ ] out of me. >> When he realizes his lies about not being there aren't going to work, he tries a new approach by going on a rant about how he must have mixed things up because the detective was hard on him during the questioning. >> Well, it is what it is, okay? That's why I'm trying to sort through it, okay? >> So, when he talked to me and I went down Boyd a little bit, but not far and then um I took that first left off of the Boyd Kennedy, which goes straight back to the right to the bottom of the intersection and then went back to the high school, but that being at Boyd Kennedy at the same time when she went missing here it worried me cuz I didn't want So, I I lied because I was scared of people thinking it was going to be me, which a lot of people thought. >> that's understandable. You're the last person to see her alive. >> Yeah, which so honestly scares me, but I see that there's issues with me and I'm telling that to the same way. >> You need to be 100% honest. You need to let everything out. >> Okay. >> Um so, when you said you took that first left off of Boyd Kennedy, was was Britney in the car with you at that time? >> Yeah, she was. >> Okay. >> I kind of have like a set little thing of loops that I do when I get bored driving on Spring Creek, so and that's one of the ones that I do a lot and but being so close to being on Boyd Kennedy and as soon as people are saying that's where she went missing, I I kind of got scared. >> I have one other concern. >> Okay. >> Okay. We located some items or an item. Okay. Do you have any idea what that item might be? >> No. >> Okay. What if I told you that it had both yours and Britney's DNA on it? >> What would that be? Do you have any idea? >> No. >> Now is the time to be the truthful. >> I I'm being 100% sir. I I don't know what you're referring to. >> And you told me before that you and Britney had never been intimate in that way. >> No. >> Okay. What if I said I had evidence that shows that that might not be accurate either? >> I'm I'm not lying. I've never kissed, I've never had with Britney. I Besides hugging and that that's I've never had or any intimate relationship with Britney. >> Okay. Have you ever watched TNA TV and seen DNA comparisons? >> No, no, no. I mean, I've watched crime shows, but I haven't really paid attention to it. >> So, you gave a DNA sample, right? >> Yes. >> Okay. Um we found All right. And we found Britney. And we have Britney's DNA. And we have your DNA. And we have >> You know, I've I've been truthful with you. >> Okay. And I know I know this is really stressful. Okay. I I can't imagine where you're at. All right? But we'll get through this together, okay? And I need you to help me help you. All right? And the biggest concern I have is you could see that we have some footage that kind of contradicts what you said. >> Yes, sir. >> You've got recovered near Britney's body. And it has DNA on it with both you and Britney. Okay? And you told me that you guys had never been intimate. All right? There's only one one way that could that DNA could have gotten on that way. >> I'm I'm aware of that. I >> And you have a pattern now of lying. >> You were receptive to Detective Fisher because you got scared. You just admitted that. >> I I admitted I was scared. >> your timeline doesn't match up. The other people we've talked to their stories don't match with yours. >> What do you mean they don't match with mine? Am I allowed Sorry, am I allowed to ask that? >> No, no, no, absolutely. You can ask. Yeah, there's just some issues with the time, okay? And things like that. But the thing I'm concerned about right now is if you were in my perspective and you look at all this, what would you think? >> That I That it's pretty weird. >> Okay. If you were me, okay, how would you explain that? >> I I don't know. >> If you were me looking at that as a detective, what would you make of it? Okay? >> Like exactly what you guys are thinking right now. >> Okay, because here's the thing. If I don't know what happened, I can't help you out any any more past this point. I can't help you figure out the the truth. Tell me the truth. Okay? We need to get through this together. And I need to hear from you what happened. >> Okay. >> Okay? >> Wait, are Can I ask a question? Are you guys Are you guys trying to get a confession with me killing Brittany? >> I'm trying to figure out how your DNA got on on the inside that has her DNA on the outside. I need to figure out what happened with that. Our job is to work as hard to prove innocence as it is guilt. If you didn't do this, we'll work to the end of the earth to prove that you didn't do this. >> But in a lot of ways, Bryce proved to them that he did do it and he served it to them on a silver platter. Because not only did the object that was left at the crime scene have his DNA all over it, but the box of those objects was located inside his truck when police searched it. The same brand, the same size. >> There's a lot of faults in it and and the way Um it was extremely odd. Uh Brittany was being the literally the only time Brittany was being really flirty for some reason. >> Where did that happen at? >> That first road all the way down Boyd. >> So, not all the way down not all the way down Boyd. >> Thought she just threw it out the window cuz she was the one who pulled it off and then cuz I I'd thrown the bra burn stuff out the driver window so I thought she just threw it out the passenger side window. Um so, where were you sitting in the vehicle while she was giving you a Um driver seat. >> Okay. And where was she at in the vehicle when she was giving a >> Um kind of like down over the the front seat and since like kind of just leaning over. >> Okay. And that happened about right here? >> Yeah. >> When I was at the scene with Brittany I found or one of our people found that was near where Brittany was at. And I was also after that was on the roadway as well. >> Okay. >> And that I told you about was much closer to where Brittany was found. And this is not where Brittany was found. Okay. I just told you I just want the truth. >> I'm telling the truth. That is where I That's where it happened. >> Where what happened? >> Where Brittany and I had um or I don't know cuz that counts as um I guess it's sexual acts. So, that is where Brittany and I had >> Okay. >> And then straight after I went straight to the trailer section and that was that was it. >> Okay. >> It was almost didn't seem real in a sense cuz she literally just asked if I wanted didn't not quite seem real almost. >> Because it wasn't real. You are about to watch Bryce deflate in real time as he realizes his lies are, well, terrible. >> So, everything we just talked about. If you were me, what would you think about all that? Ooh. I think you guys already know what I think you would think. >> And what is that? >> That I'm lying about everything. I mean, I'm just smart enough to know that's what you guys are thinking. >> You know, I think you're very smart. From the position I sit in, okay? Like I said, there's only that one chance that you have with me to tell me the truth because so far you haven't told me the truth and I think we both know that. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. And then the thing I'm concerned about is that everything you've told me just does not add up. Okay? >> Okay. >> And I think you're very smart. You know that. Okay? So, help me figure out what the truth is but I need to hear that from you. >> So, the um Angel heart timeline that I didn't actually realize that I had messed up the timeline at that that one I'm being 100% on. Pretty sure I'm putting it a while longer. And her texting her friend actually did happen and she asked me to drop her off with somebody that you don't know who it was. And uh he actually had met us on board. And I didn't actually meet the guy or anything. But cuz he met us up here. >> Okay. Um but uh Getting don't know where, somewhere over here is where Brittany actually had I dropped I really dropped her off with the guy literally in the middle of the road. And drove off. And >> Just be okay. We'll get through this together, okay? You and I will get through this together. All right? So just take a deep breath and then tell me the truth, okay? >> Okay. Every everything I have told except mess-ups on the timeline is true. That was the exact same truck that I saw. Um I honestly couldn't tell you how big was that close to Brittany's body. I I don't know how that happened. Cuz Brittany was still alive by the time I dropped her off on the road with whoever the guy was. I just wasn't thinking at all. >> He wasn't thinking about the logic of the story he just told, that's for sure. Her body was found off of Boyd Kennedy Road, the road that he was spotted on, but claims not to have gone down as he flounders to find an excuse for why he was there. He pivots and decides to throw someone else under the bus, a random person in their town who he miraculously remembers being the driver of the truck. Now keep in mind, in no way does this man he mentions have any relation to the case, which just makes his eagerness to blame him for a murder that much more insane. >> I I understand that I I know what you're going to say. >> And what am I going to say? >> That you have to know which You do have to know, but I I'm telling you that I had literally had never met this guy. >> Okay. >> Which Britney gets new friends every month, and I didn't really think much of it. >> You've told us several different versions. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> Do you really expect me to believe that you met a guy after you guys had had And you just dropped Britney off with him. And you don't know who that was. You're a smart guy. I'm a smart guy. >> I >> Okay. >> met him, but I honestly don't know who he is. >> So, I need you I need you to be honest with me. When we started out today, I just I just wanted the truth from you, okay? And then the story changed. The story's changed again. The story's changed again. Okay? I need to get the whole truth. Because once that line crosses, we can't go back. And I can't get that truth from you. >> Didn't even know the kid was back in town. It was um the Chaz Randall kid is the one who picked her up. Which I didn't even know he was back in town. So, I I swear it I swear it was Chaz Randall, cuz that kid's car is distinguishable, but >> So, you're telling me Chaz Randall met you on the road. I told you. >> What? >> And you've known that Chaz Randall killed Britney all this time, and you're just waiting to say something? You let yourself be the last one to see her alive? >> I was the last person to see her alive. I put myself in that position, and I'm going to sit here for a week and a half letting everyone to think I was the last one to see her alive, when I know who the last person to see her alive is. You think we're going to believe that? You're a smarter than that. >> Listen, okay? This is we we can't keep coming up with different stories, okay? >> But that's exactly what he does. >> You have told a whole bunch of cops a whole bunch of different stories. You need to trust me. You need to trust me. You need to trust me. I want you to trust me, okay? >> Okay. >> I need to hear the truth. The the truth. >> I know I'm kind of losing you guys' trust by the second here, and let's just be honest about that. Am I correct? Am I correct? I'm I'm not meaning to stretch on. I'm just asking. But I down there I had Britney And then I I didn't have any And then it got really quiet in the truck. It was really awkward, and I think we were both kind of like regretting it in some sort, and um she literally just told me to just drop her off. And I didn't know where to drop her off, and she wouldn't tell me anything. And then uh we got right to the uh top of the Cherry section, right to the houses. And then um right up there, and then I said something that pissed her off, and she literally just hopped out of the truck when I was at a stop sign. I was freaking out because I felt like I had ruined a complete friendship over one dumb action, about And then She didn't want to get back in my truck. And so We just sat there literally at a stop sign right off the where we had drove back to pavement in the trailer section sat there talking. And then Um I had told her that I would drop her off somewhere. And I I gotten up there and tried to give her a hug and she didn't want one and I was fine with that. I understood. Then we got back in the truck. But then I just kept it in park cuz I didn't know where the hell I was going. And we sat there and both just had steam pouring out of our ears cuz we were both upset. She just asked me to drop her off at her friend's house in the trailer section. I went down the side of of the trailer section around the corner. I pulled up and then asked her again if she just didn't want me to just take her back to Elko and she said no, it was fine. And then she had told one of her friends but I don't know. I just don't know who it was. I dropped her off in the trailer section and then that was I drove off pissed off. I went home, went home and then sat there and when I went back over to my mom's and I got text messages that she was missing and [ __ ] and it freaked me the cuz I You know, last time I saw Britney I was flustered and angry. >> I call [ __ ] >> What? >> I >> Listen, okay. >> You guys are just looking for a confession. >> What's that? >> No, okay. >> I'm looking for the facts to match up. >> What facts don't match up right now? >> Okay, I think you know. >> Well, I don't I'm lost. >> Do you think we've been doing nothing for the last week? >> No, I think you guys have been working your >> We've talked to a ton of people. Your name has come up a lot. And the conversations they've had with you, that your stories to us don't match. So, you're still expecting us to believe that you dropped her off and her body miraculously appeared where the where by some strange frequencies. >> I did not kill Brittany. But, I Imagine being in my position trying to explain this. >> Well, we're trying to figure out and we're trying to figure out how she ended up dead. Realize she disappeared on the 8th. You've been sitting on this knowledge without saying saying anything to anybody? >> Because I've had the entire town of Spring Creek asking me if I've killed Brittany. >> And you might as well have if you didn't say anything. >> So, this is the story that you're going to stick with? >> Yes, sir. >> Ultimately, in May of 2022, Bryce was forced to face his fate.
