you guys' film conversations and everything is on that videotape. >> I sat there and I watched David on that video crying like a little baby because his dad was dead. >> David says he's been dead. He's starting to That's exactly what he says on there. >> This is Britney Cole. For the past month, Britney and her husband have lived with the body of David Cole senior trying to hide their crimes. But right now, Britney has just realized that David recorded evidence of his own murder. And that video shows far more than she could have imagined. >> The camera that was in the living room in the kitchen, we have that. Most, if not all this is on these videos. That's why I'm telling you, you and David's conversations are all there >> now through her tears and terrible acting. She will be broken down, revealing exactly what this killer couple did to David Cole, senior. >> What happened to dad? What happened to him? And be straight honest with me. I can tell you want to tell me. The only thing you can do right now is make things right. And that truth has to come out. >> On February 10th, 2025, police in Ohio received a 911 call that made a shocking claim. There was a body hidden in a shed behind this quaint family home. When police raced to the home and checked inside the shed, they discovered the decaying remains of 80-year-old David Cole Senior. He had been wrapped in a tarp and left a rot there for nearly 2 months. But even more shocking was who police suspected to be behind his death and concealment. The owners of the home, his son David Jr. and David's wife, 37-year-old Britney Cole. The two had been David Senior's caretaker for several years, but had recently been telling people he moved to a nursing home in another town. What they didn't know was that the cameras in their home told a different story, and it captured not only the last moments of David Senior's life, but their plans to conceal him. Clearly, that wasn't the case. Immediately, David Jr. and Britney were taken in for questioning regarding how his body ended up in the shed. But that question was just a precursor to the real question they needed answered. How had he died in the first place? The footage you're about to see takes place during Britney's second interrogation. Detectives read her her Miranda rights and get down to business. >> So, do you guys obviously Christmas. You guys have a good Christmas. >> Yes, we did. >> Okay. He's there. Yeah. >> His birthday was actually two days before which we celebrated with him. >> Okay. So, his birthday's on the 23rd. Okay. And then uh do you guys is there a trip to Florida or something? Tell me about that. >> Yes. >> Your your daughter where that comes up. Your daughter um when speaking to her, she said she had gone to Florida. >> Yes, we had went to Florida. We left the day after Christmas. >> Okay. Okay. >> Um >> who all goes to Florida? >> It's me, David, and Nina. >> Okay. Um her boyfriend was there. >> Okay. >> Um >> in Florida or at the house? >> No, at our house. >> Okay. >> Um he was going in there, he was checking on dad, he was checking on the dogs, and when I would call to check in, said everything was fine. >> Okay. >> Um but we had had this trip planned for a couple years. >> Okay. >> Um >> Where do you guys go in Florida? >> Orlando. >> Okay. So you leave what day after Christmas? >> The day after Christmas. >> Okay. How long were you guys in Florida? >> We came back um we ended up leaving New Year's Eve and we got home on the 1st. >> So So you you you David and Nina go to Florida. >> Yes. >> Adrian or however you say his name, Adrian is downstairs or is he coming and visiting? >> He's he comes and goes. Um but he he does come to check in. >> Okay. Uh dad is is he still in his room? >> Yes. >> Okay. We asked him if he wanted to go, but he said it would be too much work to try to >> Okay. Um, you guys get back from Florida. You guys all come back the same time? >> Yes. >> Okay. What? And you guys get back New Year's Day? >> Yes. >> Um, you go check on dad. >> Yeah, he's fine. >> He's he's fine. Okay. Um, is he complaining about any ailments or anything like that? >> Just back pain. >> Okay. >> Which that wasn't nothing out of the ordinary. >> So, tell me when do you find out that that's passed? That was another thing I want to talk to you about. >> Yeah. >> I wasn't the one that found him. I said I was cuz I was a jittery mess. >> Who found him? >> My husband. >> Okay. And then what happens? >> He calls me at school. >> He's not crying, >> but you can tell there's a little, how do I want to describe this? He's upset, but not as upset as I thought he should have been. >> Okay. Um, and he was like, "I I I can't believe this happened. I don't know what to do." And I'm like, "What what's going on?" He's like, "Well, dad's gone." And I'm like, "How do you know?" >> Okay. >> And that's where I got the the pulse from is he he took his pulse. We're trained him to do the different. >> So then what happens? Do you come home from school? >> I asked him if he wanted me to, and he said no. >> Okay. >> Because you can only miss 24 hours in a per term. >> Okay. >> Um or you're kicked. >> Okay. >> Um I was like, "Are you sure?" And he was like, "No, I'll make what calls need to be made, >> okay? >> And just I'll see you when you get home." >> So then what happens? >> I come home and it's it's almost like I'm talking to a robot. >> Okay. >> Like he's very emotionless. >> Okay. >> Um I'm like, >> "What does he say? What does he say?" >> I'm like, "Did everything get taken care of?" And he's like, "Yeah." >> What do you mean, did everything get taken care of? >> Like did he make the calls that he was supposed to make? I was under the assumption he did cuz he told me he did. >> Okay. >> Um he was like um he he didn't want me going into the room which I thought a little odd but again with everything else going on um we just had two deaths prior the week before my side of the family. >> Okay. >> And so I was still upset from that and I really I should have focused more but I >> So what day is that? >> It's on my phone. It's a pretty dramatic day. You know what day that is? >> January I want to say 8th. >> Okay. Okay. So then what happens? I mean uh let's you know we we know he's he's he's passed. >> Uh he says that he's taken care of it. Obviously we find out that he has not taken care of. >> Correct. >> So tell me about that. >> Um again I was under the assumption that he did. Um, I come home again. I Which everybody says there was a smell since I had CO. I can't I can't smell anything. >> Okay. You talking about coming home on the ETH? >> No. Okay. >> Um, I'm talking about the cops and and he even mentioned that there was a smell. >> Okay. >> I haven't been able [clears throat] to smell since I had CO. >> Okay. >> I there could be days where I don't even think about taking a shower and I would give my daughter hugs. But anyway, how when do you find out about dad? >> Um, I didn't find out that dad was in the shed until the day before. >> So, you don't know anything about dad being taken out of the bedroom and put in the shed? Okay. >> No, I do not. >> You cook, right? >> Yes, I do. >> You're the one that cooks? >> Yes. >> What did you think about the mattress being out in the backyard? I mean, I was a little confused about it, but it it was riddled with urine from my mom, and I assumed he bought a new bed or was getting a new bed cuz he'd been talking about it for a while. >> Did you ever go back in that room? >> Not until everything was out of his now. >> Okay. Did you ever have any conversations with your husband about How do you find out he's in the shed? >> My husband tells me. >> What's he say? >> He was like, "I have to complain about something." And I'm like, "Well, what?" And he was like, "Dad's actually in my shed." >> Okay. And then, so what do you do? >> I I freak. I don't know what to do. I admitted to him I should have called it in, but I I honestly didn't know what to do or think, like, could the man I sleep beside every night really hide a body in our shed? >> Now, we have a lot to unpack here because, as they'll soon discuss in detail, Christmas was no holy night in the Cole household. Actually, the surname alone is an indication of what their stocking should have been full of. And not just because Britney is eager to throw her husband under the bus, who we feel it's worth mentioning did cover up the incident, but wasn't a part of the initial planning. Because her text messages, calls, and the footage inside their home showed a woman with absolutely no remorse. a woman who, no matter how hard she tries, isn't going to be able to wiggle her way out of footage of herself planning to conceal a body. >> So that that morning, uh, David finds his dad. What time did he call you? Like was it morning, afternoon? Like you're in class all day. >> It was I know it was before 10:00 cuz I was in my nursing to class >> and I'm in it from 8 to 10. >> Okay. So, you said that, you know, you get up every morning at 6:00 a.m. Um, 6:00 a.m. comes, you go in, you check on David Senior. >> Mhm. >> And he was fine that morning. He was alive that morning. >> I just peaked my head and I was like, "Good morning, Dad. I love you." And then I got really quick. >> Did he respond? >> No. >> Did he move? >> I figured he was just sleeping. >> Okay. Does he normally just sleep when you peek your head in and say good morning? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, what's the point in saying that if he's not even going to hear you? I guess >> a habit. >> Okay. >> I do it right. >> All right. And that's fine. I just >> No, no, no, no. I I appreciate you asking, but >> So, you have uh you have an Amazon account, am I right? >> Yes, we do. >> Okay. >> Join Amazon account, right? >> Yes, we do. >> Is it both hooked up on your phones? Yes, it is. >> Okay. Um, so if it's anything like me and my wife's, um, anytime my my wife orders something and it comes in the mail, I get a little thing. It says delivered or shipped and all that other stuff. Do you get that? >> Yes, I do. >> Okay. Um, so when a what was it? A uh uh what is it? A mattress cover. >> Yeah, the ordered cover. >> Do you remember that getting ordered to the house? >> Yes, I do. He actually brought that up to me. it wasn't for us moving to Florida. You can actually I can take my shirt and pants off. I believe we have bed bugs. >> Okay. >> And I'm highly allergic to them and you can see the little red spots all over me. >> Okay. >> Um he told me he was ordering it so we could put the mattress in it kind of like lice. >> If you put it in a bag and you seal it, >> it'll kill them. >> It'll kill them. >> Okay. Okay. >> And so he had told me that that's the reason why he ordered it. And I'm like, "Oh, okay. Okay. So, I can finally not like I said, you can see where I have scars. >> Okay. >> Um from me digging. And so, I seen it was delivered and I'm like, "Oh, did the bag come?" And he's like, "Yeah, it's back on the bed." I'm like, "Okay, I'll take care of, you know, I'll take care of it when I get home." Cuz we were going to do the mattress together. >> Okay. >> Um >> the mattress being your mattress or the mattress in the backyard? >> Our mattress on our bed. >> Okay. Um, so what I did is I got it out of the box and I completely opened it and it was stuck together. So what I did, which it probably looked ridiculous, is I put it over me and I kind of like spread it apart to like unstick it. >> Okay. >> And then I was going to try to put the matt like I got the mattress halfway off the bed and I was like, "Well, honey, this isn't the right size." >> Okay. >> And he's like, "What do you mean?" And I was like, "Well, this our our mattress is a king." >> Uhhuh. >> This is not fitting our bed. did, are you sure you didn't order a queen? >> Okay. >> And he's like, "No, I ordered a king. I know what size our bed is." >> Okay. >> And when he went back into the Amazon account, he's like, "Oh, it is a queen. I guess I'm going to have to reorder it." >> Okay. >> The mattress cover was ordered after January 8th. And though Britney would like to claim that it was just for a bed bug related incident, texts between her and David prove otherwise. Because for several days after he found the body on January 8th, the two discussed in depth on camera and through text how to cover up the smell. >> What did uh he tell you he did? I'm sure you guys you asked him if if dad's in if dad's in the shed, he pro you probably asked him like, "Tell me about this." >> I did, but all he said was, "Don't worry about it." >> Okay. Well, I've been with my wife for a while and I know that that's not how spouses conversations go. Okay. It shouldn't be. No. >> How did How did What did he say happened? >> He didn't tell me. He just said that he found him dead. >> Okay. >> Did he say any details about that or anything like that? >> No. >> So, when the cops get there, they bang on the door and what did they say to you? >> Um, they said they got a phone call um that dad was in the shed. >> Okay. [clears throat] >> Um, and I was like, "Okay." And my husband speaks up and he's like, "No, he went with his brother in Columbus." >> Okay. Why didn't you tell him dad was in the shed? >> Again, I was I'm My husband's anger isn't nice. >> Okay. >> He's never put hands on me and my daughter. Don't Don't think that. Um but he has had violent outbursts. He has he has depression. >> Okay. >> And it comes out in the form of anger. >> I got you. Um, like I said, when I come home from school on the ETH, it was like you asked. >> What do you think happened to that? >> What do you think happened to it? >> I honestly do not know. I don't know if it was natural cause. I I honestly don't know. >> I mean, what do you think happened to him? I mean, has your husband act been acting weird or anything like that? >> He has. Yes. >> Tell them about that. >> Um, he started smoking. >> Okay. >> And he hasn't smoked in two or three years. He hasn't had the the want or the need. Okay. >> Um I come [clears throat] home from school and he's puffing on a cigarette like it's candy. I'm like, "Is is everything okay?" And he's like, "Yeah, I just can't believe he's gone." >> Okay. >> Uh he's like, "I'm an orphan now." >> Okay. >> And I'm like, and I had asked him about a funeral, and he said he wasn't going to have one cuz we really went into debt paying for his mom's. >> I'll ask you again. Who do you think happened to dad? I mean, it's it's possible that my husband did something, but I wasn't there. And I don't >> What would he have done if he did something to him? >> Anything, to be honest. >> Um, I do know that he would he would tease my daughter's boyfriends. I I don't know how true it is. >> Okay. >> Um, but he said he knew a piece of land where he could hide a body and it wouldn't be found. >> Okay. Now listen, >> Bernie, a lot of the questions that I that I ask you. >> Yes, sir. >> Are questions that I already know the answer to, okay? >> Yes, sir. >> So, some of those questions, >> quite a few of those questions that I've asked you, you're not telling me the truth on, okay? We're going to go over those, all right? And I'm going to give you a chance, okay, to tell me the truth on these things. >> Okay? >> Okay. Um, you got a lot going on. All right? My biggest thing is is dad who you take care of and you obviously care about. Yes. >> I want to know what happened to dad. Sure. Matt. Okay. So tell me again when you knew dad was passed when he was dead. I >> mean I found out January 8th. >> Okay. Once again I'm asking you and I'm telling you that a lot of the questions that myself and Detective Gruff are asking you I know the answers to. >> Okay. So, uh, what he's getting at. Okay. >> Mhm. >> You gave us consent to look at your phone. >> Yes, sir. >> What do you think we found on your phone? >> It could be anything. [clears throat] >> No, no, no, no. Uh, what would we have found on your phone? I I'm not asking you because I don't know what's on your phone. I'm asking you because I know what's on your phone. He knows what's on your phone. You know what's on your phone. We want you to tell us what we found because we don't want you to sit here and lie to us. Like this is like we had our conversation the other day. We've had our conversation today so far. And we're not here to play games. Okay. We want we want some closure. Okay. Uh I'm sure you do. I'm sure >> David Jr. does. But but we want to know the truth. And when did you find out that David Senior had passed? What do you think we found on your phone? >> Probably text messages. >> Okay. And what text messages do you think we found? >> I had asked a friend of mine um about body removal. >> Okay. Who's the friend? >> Caitlyn. >> Okay. So, um, when did when was that? Was that on January 8th as soon as you found out? >> No. >> Remember, we we know what's on your phone. We know we know the date. We want you to tell us. >> It was in December. Um, >> so you knew in December. >> Not that he had died. I thought he might be getting close. >> Okay. >> But I didn't know that. And I was asking how I went because David gets very angry if I have other men in my phone. Caitlyn is not a girl. >> Okay. Who is Caitlyn? >> Caitlyn is a guy named Frank Tolbert. >> Frank what? >> Tolbert. >> Okay. So, why would you ask somebody before a person died how to remove a dead body? I was asking how I go about it because I've I've never had to do that before and he works for a mortician. >> Okay. >> I wanted to get a sense of how I would go about it just in case. >> Britney, you realize that there is nobody on the face of this earth that is going to believe a story like that. You work in the healthcare system. >> Yes. You know, >> when people die, >> I'm saying at home though, I've never experienced. >> Be straight and honest with me. Yes, sir. >> Before you guys take off to Florida, is he dead already? And be straight with me and be honest with me. >> Is he dead already? >> No. Not that I was aware of. No. >> No. No. No. When the not that I was aware of [ __ ] >> When you guys leave for Florida, is dad dead? Be straight and honest with me. It doesn't matter if you knew about dad being dead on the 8th or if dad was dead in October. It's still the same. Was dad dead before you guys went to Florida? >> Yes. >> Okay. And I knew that answer. Okay. That's why I'm trying to tell you. >> Britney didn't just text her husband about the murder. She made a classic killer's blunder. She googled incriminating things as well. In this case, she searched how long before a body starts to smell on Christmas morning right after she killed her father-in-law. Apparently, that's not something they teach you in nursing school. And apparently she wasn't too bothered by the results she got because without doing a single thing to cover up her father-in-law's dead body, she then went on vacation with her family to Orlando. When she returned, the reality of what she did was on full display in a camera the family had set up in their kitchen. One that uploaded directly to the cloud and that she clearly didn't realize would implicate her in the murder and cover up. the camera that's the camera that was in the living room in the kitchen. We have that >> and it recorded and we have everything that was on it. >> So tell me tell me about that. >> When when do you find dad dead? I know he's alive on the 23rd. >> Um it was again it wasn't me that found him. It was David and it was Christmas morning. >> No, you're going we're we're off that. Okay. Because on that camera when David finds him, I I I can see it on that camera because he calls you at school and he says, "How long's he been dead?" You say, "3 to 5 days." >> David says, "He's been dead longer than that. He's starting to decay." That's exactly what he says on there. >> So, David does not find him. >> It was Christmas morning. >> Okay. Do you find him? >> Yes. >> Tell me about that. >> I try to shake him awake. >> Okay. And of course he won't wake up. >> Okay. >> And everything in me wanted to tell him and I knew I should have done the right thing. >> Okay. >> And I again got in anxiety and panic filled. And >> why did you tell them? >> How do you explain to somebody they're unworth? >> No, that's not it. Britney, don't be playing that card on me. >> You didn't want to not go on vacation. >> I could have cared less about vacation. I said, >> "Well, then you never would have went and you would have stayed there." >> I suggested that we cancel it and he told me no. >> David did. >> Yes. >> He didn't know. He didn't know about this. David finds out on the ETH. >> He didn't know. You just told us he didn't know. >> But I'm telling him I told him I didn't tell him why we needed to cancel it. I'm just saying maybe we should cancel it. >> But why did you not tell him? Why Why did you not call an ambulance? Why did you not call somebody? >> I don't know. I wish to God I could answer it, but give me a lie detector test. I don't know >> what happened to him. >> When he when I woke up, it was 5:00 in the morning. He was already dead. >> Okay. He's in your room. Where's he at? >> He's in his room. >> Okay. >> I would never harm a hair on that man's head. I loved him like my own dad. >> Okay. >> What happened to him? Be straight and honest with me. Listen, >> I don't know. >> Medication got mixed up. Something else happened. Let me know. >> The only thing I can think of was I mean, he was asking for Tylenol like candy. >> Okay. >> And I suggested to him that he stop, but he's like, "No, >> he he's bedridden. The only person that could have given him his Tylenol is you." >> Yes. That's what I just sat here and said. Listen, the reason I'm pushing that question, you guys' phone conversations and everything is on that media tape. >> I know. >> What happened to him? >> Honestly, that I don't know. I woke up and found him like that. >> Okay. [clears throat] Did you give him something else that he doesn't usually get the night before? >> No, the only thing I gave him was Tylenol and it was um like Zo to help him sleep cuz he complained he couldn't get to sleep. That was all I knew. >> When you find him, what do you see? >> He's laying in bed. He's pale. >> Okay. >> This arm's here. >> Is he on his stomach? Is he on his back? >> He's on his back. >> Okay. So, he's on his back. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Okay. So, he doesn't have a pair of pants on. >> No, sir. >> Okay. So, then he's in the bed. Then what happens? You find him. What happens? >> And I I just freeze. I wake everybody up for Christmas and the entire day. I know I should have told him, but I I just didn't. So, you're telling me that on Christmas Day, >> you find the person you called dad >> dead >> and you tell nobody. You close the door and pretend it doesn't happen. >> I knew I needed to tell somebody. >> You said you gave him Zquil. How much Zquil did you give him? >> The recommended amount, which was, I believe, 15 millig or 15 the little cup. >> Okay. Do you normally give him ZQI? >> No. Okay. So, you gave him something the night before to help him go to sleep. How much did you give him? >> The recommended amount. >> And that's what everybody would say. But you Britney, we I we just have a hard the [clears throat] reason it's like this is I have a hard time because the stuff that I've had to I've had to pull things out of you, Matt. >> You know what I mean? Uh I can tell when stuff gives you problems. All right. I called you out on at the very beginning. Okay. I I can tell when stuff gives you problems. All right. >> Most if not all this is on these videos. Okay. Uh that's why I'm telling you you and David's conversations are all there. Okay. That's how I can tell you David did not find his dad. Okay. You had already known about it. Listen. >> You sure? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. He was already passed before you guys went on vacation. All right. It does not matter if you wanted to leave him there because you didn't want to go on vacation or you did or you didn't. That doesn't matter. Okay? The honesty has got to come out. You get a chance to talk to us and be honest with us. Okay? Because this is it. This is it. You've already been talked to once before. This is it. Okay? And don't be don't be pushing stuff on David if it ain't David's fault. Okay? >> You know what I mean? cuz you come in here playing the the blame David game like David is >> you have literally blamed him for everything. >> You know what I mean? When David has it. Okay. I sat there and I watched David on that video crying like a little baby because his dad was dead. >> Okay. You can't fake that. You can't fake that at all. >> Yes, sir. >> Calling you as you're driving saying, "Hey, I'm downtown. Hey, I'm crossing the wire bridge. Hey, I'm on 146." As you're just sitting there in silence because he's that emotional about it. So listen, you owe it to your dad, okay? That you loved, okay? And you owe it to David as well. So we need to start all the way back over, okay? And we need to start with with the truth. And that truth has to come out. It has to come out. We can't be playing this game. We can't be playing all that stuff, okay? The truth has to come out, okay? You tend to tend to your dad every two hours. Okay? Every couple hours. All right? It is, you know, you're you're somebody that is is caring for this guy. You know what his medications are. You know what's going on with him. Okay. Um, just tell me what happened to him. >> The video camera captured the exact moment that David Jr. realized his father was dead and that his own wife had been hiding the body. He called her and confronted her while standing directly in front of the camera, capturing the entire ordeal and tying it in a nice little bow for detectives. Essentially, this proved that David had nothing to do with the initial killing of his father. However, it also revealed two other things. Firstly, that David hadn't checked on his own father in over a week after returning from vacation. Instead, he was plopped on the couch playing video games and refusing to search for a job or take care of the man who raised him whatsoever. And secondly, when he found out, instead of calling the police, he decided to hide his father's body. So, WHAT HAPPENED TO WHAT HAPPENED TO DAD? What happened to him? And be straight honest with me. I can tell you want to tell me what happened to him. >> It was the sequel. >> The sequel. Tell me about that. >> I gave him one cup. >> Okay. >> And an hour later, he asked for another. Okay. >> I said I didn't feel it safe. >> He said he didn't care and I gave him the second cup. >> Okay. So, he had two he had two things as he quit. Yes, sir. >> Is that why David says, "What did she do to him?" Is that why he says that on the video? >> Other than that, I didn't I can promise you other than that, I didn't do anything else to him. >> All right. So, you gave him you gave him more Zeoil than what he should add. >> And I told him he didn't have it, but [clears throat] I went against my better judgment. >> I got you. Anything else? And be straight because this is this is our time. This is our time to talk. This is our time to be able to talk and get past things. Okay? Because you're still here. You're in trouble. >> Do you know what I mean? You telling me, "Hey, this happened or this that or that happened doesn't change anything. You're still in trouble." Okay. I mean, you know that. Okay. So, anything else besides that equip? >> No. >> You said you were giving him Tylenol, too. How much Tylenol had you been giving him? >> He asked um he would normally do two a night, but there was one night um >> the night before he died. >> Yes. >> Okay. He asked um there was about six of them. >> Okay. And Tylenol comes in 200 millig, 500 mg. What kind of Tylenol were we talking here? >> Um it was it's the red and blue rapid release. >> Okay. So those are 500 millig >> is what they were. >> Okay. And you gave him six of them. >> He asked for it. Again, I told him I didn't think it was a smart idea. And [clears throat] all I got was I want to see my wife. >> Okay. >> That's all I got. Did you give him anything else? >> No. And >> I mean I want to see my wife kind of sounds we we can inference what that is. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> So 3,000 milligs of Tylenol and a double dose of Zquil. >> And he makes the comment, "I want to go see my wife." >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. >> He'd been down and depressed since she died. >> Okay. And you gave it to him and the next morning he's gone. And I was freaking out because being right where we're at, I didn't want to be accused of murdering my father when I didn't do it intentionally. I didn't I loved that man. You can ask anybody. >> You love that man. Yes, you did. Okay. You did. But you are a woman here. Okay. And I'm going to get a little personal with you. Okay. You're a woman here that is supporting your daughter, which there's no problems with that. Okay. Her boyfriend. >> Yes, sir. >> And your deadbeat husband that is sitting playing [ __ ] video games. >> Okay. That takes a toll on you. That wears on you. Okay. You're the only one that's out trying to better yourself and do stuff. >> I am. Yes. >> You know what I mean? And he sits on his and he's sitting there playing video games and door dashing here and there. Okay. And you're stuck taking care of dad. >> Ringing the doorbell. >> Ringing the doorbell. >> I didn't mind. >> I'm not saying you do, okay? But I'm trying to get into your your sense of this is how you're feeling. Okay. And that those kind of things, okay? The day before this happens, you guys are talking about getting him into a uh into a Okay. But still getting into it was not several days. His appointment was on the 23rd. Okay. That's when you guys were talking about putting him in. >> We know that already. Let me do that before you >> So, did he die on Christmas Eve? The 24th or the 25th? >> I found him on the 25th at 5:00 a.m. >> Okay. The 24th. Okay. Or the 25th. All right. You found him. Listen, let me throw this at you. >> Yes, sir. >> Did you do anything else to that man? >> No, I did not. >> Be straight with me. >> I am being straight with you now. >> Because if you gave him Zquil or you gave him Percoet or you gave him I don't know anything. Okay, that doesn't change anything. We're still the same spot where we're at. And when if you grabbed him by the neck and you throttled him and death, we're still the same spot we're at. Doesn't change anything. >> I didn't touch him. >> Okay? Because me giving somebody some Zquil, I'm not going to be thinking, "Oh crap, man. I I don't I got to hide a body and all that other stuff." That that that's not how people think. So what happened to him? >> Honestly, that's all I did. I Nothing else. I promise you. And that's the God's honest truth. >> Does Junior know about this? I'm not I can't remember if I told him I gave you that. >> You can or you can't. I'm telling you, you can. These are some pretty serious This is the most serious thing that's ever happened in your life. >> Yes. >> Did you tell him about this? >> Yes, he did. >> What did you tell him? >> I told him that he couldn't sleep and that I gave him that I gave him the Zill and I told him he was in a lot of pain, so I gave him the Tylenol. >> Okay. You give him anything else? >> No, I did not. >> Did you do anything else to that man? >> No, I did not. Nothing else. >> No, sir. You >> didn't do anything else to that man? >> No. And I >> You didn't give him any more other medications. You didn't uh, you know, do anything else that's going to harm him to to where he dies. >> Never. No. >> The sheer amount of substances that Britney gave her father-in-law would be impossible to survive. Tylenol 3, which you've heard mentioned, combines acetaminophen with codin, which is relatively easy to overdose on. An overdose results in severe pain, shallow breathing, and vomiting. Ultimately, these symptoms increase until the user dies, usually of a seizure or their heart stopping. David Senior died alone in a bed that he couldn't move from in a house with a son that didn't care about him, and a daughter-in-law who only saw him as a paycheck. >> When you guys leave, and be straight with me on this. >> Yes, sir. >> When you guys leave to go to Florida. >> Yes, sir. Why didn't you tell Dave or a junior about his dad? Be straight and honest with me. >> Because I seen how he spiraled with his mom. >> Okay. >> And [clears throat] he said if his dad ever went that he would come >> Okay. But you knew he's got to find out eventually. Am I right? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Did is it Adrian? >> Adrian. >> Did he come check on on dad or No. >> Yeah. He was in the house almost every night. Was he or wasn't he? >> He was cuz he videotimed my daughter with her dog. >> Okay. Does he know that dad's dead? >> I have no idea honestly. >> Okay. You know that thing where I say that, man, I can tell something bothers you. Tell me about that and be straight honest with me. >> He even told my daughter that he called him back there, >> which is [ __ ] And you know it's [ __ ] cuz you know he's dead. >> I know he is. But that's what he told my daughter. So I'm guessing no, he didn't check on him. >> Okay. But he's living there in the basement. >> He He wasn't living there at the time. He was just coming in to get the feed and water the dogs. >> He wasn't living there at the time. >> How often is he feeding and watering the dogs? >> As far as I know, he video caught her twice a day. >> Britney, he's feeding water on the dogs. I don't doubt that. Okay. But he's been there enough to know that there is an elderly man that cannot walk that has been bedridden inside that house. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. He feeds and waters the dogs twice a day and does not check on that man one damn time. >> I don't know. I mean, I don't I don't know. I >> Now, did he check on Did he come there and check on that house or not? He had our house keys. Yes, he did. >> Does he know about it? >> No. >> Does he know about it? >> No. >> I think he knows about it. >> Does he know about it? >> No, he does not. >> Does your daughter know about it? >> She didn't find out until the 8th. >> Nope. When did your daughter find out about it? >> As far as again, I'm aware of, it was the 8th. When did your daughter find out about your dad being passed? >> Christmas. >> Okay. So, your daughter knows. Guess what? Adrian knows, too. Okay. So, that whole story we just went and spent 5 10 minutes on is a total [ __ ] lie. He didn't check on him, did he? Or did he? >> He didn't. >> Okay. Why didn't he just tell me that? That doesn't change anything. See how See how things are You're dragging things out and it's taking longer. You start my Because a regular person is going to say that they're going to go and they're going to go check on this guy. Even if I didn't even know this guy and you said, "Hey, come take care of my dogs." I'd at least be like, "Hey, man. You want a bottle of water?" Hell, when you came in here, I asked, "Hey, you want a bottle of water?" You see, man, so why don't lie to me about things? That makes me question everything that you've told me. And you know what I mean? That makes me What about you? That makes me question everything. >> Ever since I met you, both of our interviews. >> Yes, sir. >> It wasn't until we started calling you out on on the [ __ ] that we knew that you were lying. We just let you lie to a certain point, but we're getting tired of it. It's annoying that we know the truth and we know you know the truth, but you keep lying. You know, we're in this we're in this boat and all you're doing is sinking your own ship because you're not coming forward. You you're making us literally pull it out of you. >> So, tell me what happened to him and be straight and honest with me. I'm not going to ask you too many more times. >> No, I did. I didn't do anything else to him. >> Okay. Did anybody else? >> Not to my knowledge. No. Evidence found in text messages concludes that prior to leaving, Britney's 16-year-old daughter knew David Senior was dead. The fact that she was exposed to this in a house that she couldn't escape resulted in additional charges for David and Britney of endangering a child. >> What did you tell your junior your husband? >> Mhm. >> What did you tell your your husband when you got back? >> That he had passed. >> No, you did not. >> No, I didn't tell him. He called me and asked. I didn't tell him anything. Yeah, but you guys get back on New Year's Day, right? >> Yes, sir. >> For eight days, >> what do you tell your husband? >> Your husband obviously asked about him. What did you tell him? >> He was fine. >> I Your husband, you and your husband talked. >> Yes, sir. >> Your husband's probably like, "Hey, how's my dad doing? What's going on? I haven't heard the bell ringing." >> What did you tell your husband? >> The more that you check on him, the less he's going to cry out. >> Okay. I still It's 8 days later that your husband finds out. I see when your husband finds finds him. >> What are you telling your husband? >> That he's fine. >> You're telling him other stuff. What are you telling your husband? >> That he's fine. He's watching TV. >> Is Was there a TV on on there? >> Yes, there was. >> Okay. So you just you turned the TV on, closed the door, and just every uh so often you were going in there to make your husband think that he was still alive. >> Yes, sir. >> Just a big old big old game. We're just going to put on a game show for for the husband to make him think that uh his dad's still alive. Did you go in there in the room >> several times? Yes. >> Okay. What are you doing in there? >> I just turn on my TV and I just stand there and I cry. >> Your husband didn't ask you why you're crying? No, cuz I would go to the bathroom and wash my face. >> Yeah, but still. Well, you can tell when people been crying. >> Not him. >> Listen, you weren't crying. >> No, >> you haven't cried this entire time. >> You haven't cried this entire time because I still think there's more that you're not telling us. You You may have cried when you realized, "Oh [ __ ] this is what I did to him." But you're not going back there and crying every day or every couple of hours standing in a bedroom while he's laying there dead knowing he's been there dead for two weeks. >> I cried once. >> Does it? >> What' you do to him? >> Honestly, other than the medicine, I did not do anything to him. >> Did your daughter what? >> I don't know. >> No, no. You your daughter found out. You had a conversation. And otherwise she would have ran to to your husband and told. So what happened? >> I don't know. I got up at 5:00 and he was dead. That is all I know. All I know is beforehand I gave him the medicine. That is it. That is all I know. I swear to Jesus Christ. I don't know. You can ask me till you're blue in the face. I'm going to give you the same answer. I don't know. I'm not the one that moved the body. >> Who did? >> Junior. >> Okay. And tell me about all that. Is the Is the the story about the uh the mattress cover total [ __ ] >> No, that was honestly why we ordered it. >> Okay. >> Um that that is why that's the complete truth. >> Okay. >> Um he uh >> How how long how long is dad in that room after you guys get back from vacation? >> At least on the 8th. So, >> I say maybe a couple days after that. I'm not sure when he moved it. >> Okay. >> He didn't >> tell me about that. >> He he didn't tell me [clears throat] um when he moved it. >> Um he said that he didn't want me to see, so he did it while I was at school. He said he unplugged both cameras. >> Mhm. >> Um he didn't tell me where he put the body. He just told me that he got it out of the bedroom. >> You didn't move anything. >> I mean, I I moved the furniture. Yes. >> We have text messages between you and Junior where you said, "I can move it myself. Stop lying to us. Tell us the truth. Tell us what happened with the body. >> He got moved and put in the center. >> Okay, tell us about that. Tell us about that. I mean, [clears throat] >> how long did How did you get him from the bedroom to the sun room? >> I drugg him. >> You drugg him? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Why are you still trying to throw your husband that you claim to love under the bus? >> Because he told Let me ask you this. You're sitting where you're sitting and we're discussing all of this. Is it David Junior's fault? >> Yes, sir. >> So, should he go to prison because of your actions? >> No, sir. >> Should he be sitting in jail right now because of your actions? >> No, sir. >> Then tell us the truth and quit trying to throw him under the bus. You drugg him from the bedroom to the sun room. >> I only throw him under the bus cuz that's what he wanted. He said he >> I don't give a [ __ ] what he wants. I want the truth. >> Yes, sir. >> So, you drag his body from the bedroom? >> Yes, sir. >> Down the hallway into the sun room? >> Yes, sir. >> Does David help you? >> No, sir. >> He does not. >> [ __ ] [ __ ] >> He doesn't help me. >> Why are you the one dealing with all this? because he said he couldn't. >> Because once again, he sits at home and plays video games all day. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Why Why is he putting this all on you? >> I don't know. >> Because you did this. That's why. Okay. >> That's why. And it's probably the same exact question or probably the same exact thing he's told you. Am I right? >> No. He told me he couldn't help me because he couldn't see his dad like that. >> Do you blame him? I mean I mean his dad laid in a bed in a bedroom at the end of the hallway for 2 weeks, >> sir. >> So you put him in the sun room, >> sir. >> Is he wrapped up in anything? What is he? >> He's in a tarp. >> Okay. How did we get the tarp or tell me about that? >> It was out in the shed or not the shed, the gazebo. >> Okay. So you got the tarp? Yes, sir. Who helped you put him in that tor? >> I did it myself. >> No. No. Is it Nina that helped you? >> No, he helped me, sir. >> Who helps you put him in the tarp? >> I did it myself. >> No. Who helps you put him in the tarp? >> My husband. >> Okay, that's more like it. Text messages showed that David was actually irritated by his father's body decaying in the home. Not concerned, irritated. In one text, he complained that he couldn't eat because of the smell. In another, he ranted that even opening the windows didn't help. So, after several weeks of struggling more with the smell than the fact that his wife had killed his dad, he made the suggestion to move the body into the shed where they could essentially forget about it. In the meantime, they told everyone that David Senior had been moved to a facility in Cincinnati. So, >> you guys find out on the 8th. What day is that? >> I'd say two or 3 days later. >> Okay. So, he stays in the room for two or three more days. >> Yes, sir. >> Are you guys doing anything to cover the smell? I mean, he's stinking at that point. I mean, he stinks. >> David bought the little sprayers that you see hanging on the walls. >> Okay. That's what the sprayers were bought for. Yes. >> Okay. So, he buys those little sprayers. Those sprayers are to cover the scent of the body. What are you guys talking about in that three days? You guys got to What's the plan with that? >> We were [clears throat] trying to figure out what either how to tell somebody or just to get rid of it. He wanted to cremate it. >> Okay. So, how were you guys going to do that? >> That I had no idea. >> Okay. >> Cuz you can't just call a funeral home and say, "Hey, I have a body I need cremated." >> Right. Right. Right. >> That's That's not how that works. Are you and David having problems? >> We Yes. Not going to lie, yes. >> Okay. Has David been staying at the house? >> Yes. >> Okay. Have you been staying at the house? >> Yes. There's been some times where I slept out on the couch. >> Explain to me because this question is going to come up and you're going to have to answer this question a million times. >> Yes, sir. Explain to me how for eight days David does not know that his dad has passed inside that bill. For eight days. >> There's no reason why he shouldn't. >> There's eight days. There's eight days there. You guys are down in Florida for how many days? >> The day after Christmas until the first. >> Okay. So that is >> Yeah. 15 days. You're looking at 15 days from the time that he's he dies to the time that Dave Jr. finds out. >> Yes, sir. >> How does he go that long without him finding out about that body? >> He said he he said he thought, but he couldn't pull himself to go in and look. >> But you're going into that room. How many times a day are you going in that room and acting like you're doing stuff? >> Just a couple. So you go from every two hours and checking on him to just going in a couple times. >> Yes, sir. >> There's something not right there. Something is not right. >> If he knew about it, he didn't tell me. >> He didn't know about it when he walked in which I saw on the camera before the cameras got disconnected. It's the first time he finds out about that. [clears throat] Okay. And that's where I'm seeing him crying and that's where I'm seeing him call you. >> Yes, sir. So tell me how from the time that this happens does he not know that his dad has passed inside that room? >> Because he doesn't go back there. >> He passes that room every single day to go to the bathroom or go to bed, does he not? >> He does. He He can't handle smells. >> Okay. >> That's why when we were at work, he didn't do the changing of people. I did cuz I don't >> Okay. He can't handle smells, but he has got his dad who is 15 days been rotting in that room. So, how does he not know? That's what I'm trying to get at. You're going to answer that. You're going to have to answer that question. I mean, are you telling him things? What is going on to where he doesn't know? >> All I told him was, is it smell bad in there? That was all I said to him. >> Did you tell your daughter or anybody to say anything when people ask about uh your dad? I did. >> Well, I mean, I told her she she would she made the decision as well as David not to make any call the day that they found out because she didn't want to lose both parents. >> Okay. I'm just telling you from her reaction, she knew before David did. >> I That's what I'm saying. >> You know, I mean, she found out she made >> and you guys came up with a story. Yes, sir. >> What was the story? >> That he moved with his brother >> to where? >> To Cincinnati. >> Okay. >> Still Did you tell David that? >> No. >> Did you tell >> Not till the 8th that I told him that was the story that we were telling people. >> Did you tell him when when you guys got back from vacation from Florida? >> Mhm. >> Did you tell David he's moved to Cincinnati or anything like that? No, I did not. >> Okay. Did you tell him that he's going to arrest home or anything like that? >> No, I did not. >> You have told David something. You have talked to him or did something because there's no way that David is in that house. Doesn't like smells like you're telling me >> for 8 days it doesn't smell. His dad, Ronnie, >> all I said was the room really stinks. I'm like, if you want to go in there, you can. And he said I didn't want to until until the 8th. He said he was afraid of what he might find. And that's [clears throat] to God's honest truth. I didn't tell him anything else. >> And then on the eighth, you told him that you and Nah had been telling people that he had gone to Cincinnati with his brother. >> Yes. >> Okay. So after that, what do you what do you do? I mean I mean he's two more days in the bedroom and then you drag him down the hallway. Who ordered the mattress cover? >> David did. That that was him. >> The one that >> But it wasn't for a mattress. >> No, it was his idea for the for the mattress cover. >> Okay. But to put Dave Senior in it, not to >> originally it started for the mattress because honestly we >> come on >> it was but then we got the bright idea that to use it for his dad. >> Okay. So you take him to the sun room. How long does he sit in the sun room? >> Maybe a day or two >> or three or five. >> That was one to two days. Then what happens? >> He got taken to the shed. >> Who takes him to the shed? >> Obviously, Britney isn't winning any mother of the year awards. Not only did she get her adolescent daughter involved in a murder and cover up, but her other daughter, who was in her late teens, stopped speaking to her just days before her 18th birthday. In an earlier interview, Britney stated nonchalantly she wanted to move. I wasn't fighting it. Hopefully, that apple rolled far, far from the tree. So all at once at 9:30 you give him 3,000 milligrams of Tylenol and 60 milligrams of Zquil. >> Yes sir. >> Was it just 60 milligrams of Zquil? >> Yes sir. >> Or milliliters. >> Yes. >> Okay. No more than that. >> No sir. >> And you knew the recommended dose on it was 15 milliliters. >> Yes sir. >> You realize you know I don't buy that, right? >> You know I don't buy that. that I gave him. >> Oh, I'm not I'm not doubting that you didn't give him that. But you [clears throat] realize I I don't buy that at all. Okay. I've called you out on your [ __ ] this whole entire this whole entire time. Tell me what happened to him. >> That's honestly what happened to him. All I gave this man was medicine. That is it. >> Some Some night is not going to kill somebody. It's not. It's not. It's not. Some night is not going to kill somebody. It's not. So tell me what did you give to him or what else happened? Honestly, >> I just gave him the Tylenol. No, >> it had Cody in it. >> Okay. So, tell me now we're doing Tylenol Cody. So, tell me what what you gave him. >> Tylenol with coding. He just wanted to sleep. >> And you gave him 3,000 milligs of Tylenol with Cody? >> No. [clears throat] >> Okay. >> How much did you give him? >> I gave him three Tylenol with coding. >> Okay. But still, you gave him three. So, Tylenol 3es. >> Yes, sir. >> You gave him three of those. >> They belong to my daughter when she had her tonsils removed. >> Okay. So, you gave him three Tylenol 3s and the Nyquil. Well, the Zquil. Yes, sir. >> Sorry. >> With Now, did you give him the 3,000 milligrams of Tylenol, too? >> So, you gave him the three Tylenol 3s and the Zquil at once. >> Yes, sir. >> Be honest with me. >> I am honest with you. >> Forget all that. Tell me exactly what you gave him. Tell me exactly what happened. Okay. Listen, listen. and give me let me give my preference first. Okay? And then you tell me, okay? >> Like I've said from day one, doesn't matter if you gave him Tylenol when he dies or you he dies. Okay? It's it's all the same. Okay? It's it is all the same. Did I not call you out on the bull a [ __ ] on the Nyquil and the Tylenol? Did I not? Yes, sir. >> Okay. Because somebody's not going to die because you gave them Nyquil. Okay? So, be honest with me and be straight with me. What did you give them? Okay. Or what happened to him? >> All of the above. >> Okay. So, Tom gave him the 3,000 milligrams of Tylenol, too. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. And the Tylenol 3s? >> Yes, sir. >> And the ZQuil? >> Yes, sir. >> How much ZQL? See, you're you're contemplating it. You're you don't need to think about it. You know how much it was. How much was it? >> Right. He's got a talk screen and and it all that's going to come out. Okay, we got we got that. It should be coming at any time now. We're going to know exactly what's in there. So if you say you gave him you you're not telling me something. It's going to show up on this tong screen. >> No, it was just a Tylenol. The Tylenol 3 is in his equal. >> How much? >> It was like three or four cups of equal. >> Wait a second. Wait a second. Brilliant. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's stop here. Okay. You don't give a guy a freaking half gallon of of Nyquil, a half bottle of Tylenol, and a quarter bottle of uh Tylenol 3 because you think he can't sleep. >> No, that's what he was telling me. >> But you know that that's not what's going to happen. >> I know. And >> what what happens? You knew what was going to happen with that concoction. >> And I tried to tell him that. I did. >> What did you tell him? I told him that if he kept taking stuff that it would cause issues and he would >> No, no, no. You didn't say issues. >> It would hurt him. I said it would hurt him. That is what I told him. >> Listen, >> I wish to go there would have been a camera in there cuz you could have seen what happened. >> What happened then? >> That's what I'm telling you happened. I gave you >> Every TIME WE GET LIKE THIS, EVERY TIME WE GET like this, you're like, "Man, this is what happened. This is what happened." And then what happens is we talk for another 20 minutes and then we come back and then, oh, hey, guess what? But we're going to add this to it now. So what else did you give him? Okay. And what happened to him and be straight? If you gave him Nyquil, it's the same as if you took and you strangled him or you did whatever else you did to them. So you need to be honest. It doesn't matter if you gave him one Tylenol three or you gave him a 100 Tylenol 3s. It's all the same. >> You see? Yes. >> So what happened? How many in what? >> At 9:30, I gave him 60 mg of the ZQL and three Tylenol 3s. Okay. >> At 11 when I went to check on him, he complained that he couldn't sleep and he was still in pain. >> Okay. >> And asked if he could have more Tylenol. >> You gave him more Tylenol 3. >> I gave him more Tylenol 3s. I told him >> how many how many? >> It was another three. >> Okay. So, he's got six Tylenol 3s >> within a how many period of time? >> 2 hours. >> Okay. Okay. So, then to keep going, >> I gave him that. I told him it could hurt him and I told him that there would be repercussions. >> His exact words to me was, "I don't care. I'm in pain. I can't handle it and I want to see Janet." >> Is he? >> Obviously, yes. He He threatened to several times, including in front of my daughter. >> Okay. >> You knew. Listen to me. You knew when you gave him six Tylenol 3s. Six Tylenol 3s. I know what would happen >> within a 2hour period. What would happen? >> Yes, sir. I know. >> What would happen? >> He would die. >> So, you knew by giving him six tunnel threes, he would die. >> Yes, sir. >> What happened? >> He died. >> The motive of this case wasn't just annoyance with having to care for someone, even though that was quite literally the exact job Britney was signing up for. It was money. David Senior was earning $2,300 a month from his social security checks. When you factor in that Britney had just stopped working and David Jr. hadn't worked in God knows how long. It becomes clear why Britney murdered David Senior because it meant more money in her pocket and less work. Though Britney isn't quite ready to admit that. >> Have you guys, you or David or both of you uh taxed any of his social securityities, social security money or any of his stuff? >> I believe David did. >> Don't tell me. I don't do believes. Okay. >> David did. >> Okay. Tell me about that. He went and he used it for bills. >> Okay. Well, did he know that his dad was dead >> after the fact? Yes. >> Okay. Any other money of your dad or your dad's that >> he doesn't get any other money? >> No life insurance or anything like that. >> So, there would have been $2,300 at the end of December after he was already dead. And then there would have been $2,300 at the end of January when he was already dead. >> So, there's two times or is there more? >> No, just just that. >> Okay. So, the two times? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. No other benefits? No other. You guys haven't opened any accounts. You guys haven't uh taken any money out of his accounts, your dad's, anything like that. >> You just paid bills online or did you go get cash out? >> Just online. >> Okay. >> Ultimately, Britney pleaded guilty to murder and abuse of a corpse. She was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 16 years. For his role in covering up his father's murder, David Jr. was charged with tampering with evidence, possessing criminal tools, gross abuse of a corpse, obstructing justice, and endangering children. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison. Our thoughts are with David Cole, Senior and his family. Thank you for watching today's video.
