On July 2nd, 2024, a statewide alert went out for a stolen Toyota RAV 4 already linked to multiple pursuits. March 18th, 2025 quickly turned into a high-risk manhunt when officers in Pueblo attempted to locate Billy Sodto, a suspect already wanted for a serious violent offense. What followed escalated immediately upon contact. Hey man, I have an army vet. I got a CLS bag. >> Okay. Is he shot? I just need your help. Okay, help me out. Okay, I got you, man. >> Oh, where's he hit? Is he >> I got an army here with me right? >> Yeah. See if we can get someone here. >> Unless we could No, I was going to say we could lift it off. After the incident, Sodto was declared gone at the scene despite medical aid attempts, while three injured officers were treated and later released. The case remained tied to attempted homicide charges and an ongoing investigation into the attacks. August 31st, 2020 began with a simple traffic stop in Wisconsin over a vehicle issue. But the encounter took a dangerous turn when the situation escalated. What seemed minor quickly revealed something far more serious. >> Using EMS at this point and it sounds like he's into traffic. Please standing up right now. Oh my god. Oh [ __ ] SHOT FIRE. SHOT FIRE. SHOT FIRE. SHOT FIRE. TOGETHER. The running into the woods. Fire. November 14th, 2025 reports of a stolen vehicle in Los Angeles sparked a pursuit involving what appeared to be very young suspects. Their unpredictable behavior raised immediate concerns for public safety. Have now re-engaged and of course we are overhead and working to get Chris Christie back connected to us to get his vantage point on what he's seeing. >> Uh Chris, can you hear us now? >> Mark, I've got you. >> Okay, got you. >> Take it from here. So much of the concern there we saw a moment ago were the crosswalks and the pedestrians out there. >> Yep. Coming towards us once again westbound Wilshire Boulevard through Westwood here through the Wilshire corridor. LAPD with a full pursuit package behind the suspect with an airship overhead. However, they have pulled back ever so slightly because of the speeds here. So, he's got a wide open Willisure Boulevard after a number of really close calls in very congested traffic. Now he's encountering a little bit more pavement to play with here. He's using full uh use of those lanes. >> Um and you just hope nobody else gets injured. >> That's that's the number one. I'm sure Chris, we're all every time this person goes on to oncoming traffic. I I'm holding my breath because this one has taken such extreme measures to not be pulled over that it just gets so close to getting into a crash. >> Well, now he's on White Oak. So, let's see if this changes things a little bit. He's doing about 60 mph northbound on White Oak. Uh, coming up on Sherman, but White Oak is not very busy right now. This will be the opportunity that LAPD has. Look at this. Is this an unmarred unit? This might be an unmarked unit that is now getting behind him. It's either an unmarked unit or a complete civilian, but somebody has just pulled up behind him. It does not look like an unmarked unit to be honest with you. Uh, can you pull in on the plate there really quick? Uh, somebody has just Yeah, that is a Florida license plate that has just pulled up behind the suspect. >> It is following the suspect. This really does change things for law enforcement because they need to pull that person off. They need to get involved in these people separated. Dangerous. Look at him crashing up on the curb. He loses control. Crashing up on the curb. The driver out of the driver's side door. A female passenger now running for it. And somebody is chasing them. Somebody is chasing them through this neighborhood down an alleyway off of Asperia Avenue at Van Owen Street in Rita as he runs down this alleyway putting up his hood here. He's running as fast as he can as he tries to keep his pants up. LAPD now in the alleyway with him with at least three units pulling in there. He's now going to trying to jump on private property. He's not going to have a chance to jump that fence. The LAPD is now going to take him immediately into custody, forcing his hands behind his back here before he even had the chance to jump into that backyard. What a dramatic end to this chase. Finally coming to an end here in Rita. LAPD able to corner the suspect on private property here in an alleyway without anybody getting hurt. You saw him just make the random move. So, I don't know if he lost control or if he made the conscious decision to just run up on the curb like that, but he decided enough was enough. Decided he can give it up, maybe thinking he could run fast enough. There's the girlfriend. She's being taken into custody, and they have to deal with the They're all running back to that vehicle, by the way, to make sure that there's nobody else inside that car. So, they're all going to run as fast as they can back to the vehicle, make sure the vehicle's cleared. But now, they have to sort out who's who here and why other people are getting involved. Now you have other neighbors, concerned citizens coming out to get a look at what's going on. LAPD has to make sure there's nobody else inside the car, either in the front, the back, or the trunk. So, we'll see them uh clear the vehicle momentarily and declare a code for man. Uh kind of an unexpected end to this one, guys. >> That woman who ran, she's right there on the parkway getting off the sidewalk, go back down below. Uh there was the woman who who got out right there. That's the woman who ran from the SUV. Her sweatshirt almost matches the license plate uh with the rainbow. She is being taken into custody. It had the look of a family member. The way that she chased the young man running from the car, it it appeared to be that she was trying to communicate with him. And now she is being taken into custody for her interference in the situation. Though it did appear from that shot a moment ago that the vehicle that she was in has also now >> by the end three individuals were taken into custody including the driver and a passenger. Authorities continued investigating potential charges related to vehicle theft and evading police. March 9th, 2025 saw officers clock a vehicle speeding dangerously on University Avenue, prompting an attempted stop. Instead of slowing down, the driver accelerated and tried to escape. Heat. Heat. February 2nd, 2024, a driver approached a DUI checkpoint in South Carolina and made a split-second decision to avoid it. That choice immediately drew the attention of nearby troopers. >> A31 A31, do I have permission to pit? We're going 44. I hit one second. I'll call it for sure. Running around. >> He's running again. >> Go down your street. Coming up on purple will be secondary. He's at four and third. These are 48 mph travel. Yeah, he's starting to lose a little bit of control. He's starting to slow down. I bet he's about to bush. >> I'm going to get you. GET BACK HERE. HEY, I GOT HIM. He's back here. Stop. I'm going to tase you. I'm going to tase you. You better stop. He's in a creek. He's in a lake back here. Ah. He's in the middle of the creek. >> You better get out. You ain't going nowhere. Come to us. >> We're not playing with you. Come to us. You ain't got nowhere to go. >> You got him. >> Did you get him? >> We got him. Come on, bro. You got me all wet. What's with that, man? You hurt or anything like that? You need to go to the hospital? No. Okay. >> Huh? >> Shower. >> Shower. >> We'll let you get one of those. >> Why didn't you just stop, dude? If you're if you're suspended, we're not going to we're not going to arrest you just for suspension. Unless you're like D US freaking eighth or ninth like come this way. We're coming to this car. >> Change of clothes, >> huh? >> Change of clothes. >> No, we got to we got to take you. I don't like it anymore than you do cuz now you got to get my car all wet. >> I can't let you do that. I don't like it any more than you do because my seat's going to get all wet now. So, >> you want it I mean this is a t-shirt. You want it like on you or you want seat >> on it. Actually, I have some puppy pads. I forgot about >> All right, man. Step out of the vehicle with your hands up. Walk back to me. Hands up. Walk back to me. Walk back to me. Turn around. J's behind your back. Drop the cigarette. I'm trying to run you, sir. >> Yeah, you were. >> I promise I wasn't. Uh, my car was up. My dog hit the gear shift and I tried to get over and I slid right out of the vehicle for me. Rear passenger, open up the door. Okay, stay there then. Step out of the vehicle. Passenger, step out of the vehicle. Keep the dog inside the car. >> Okay. His his door don't open. >> His door don't open. Okay. >> Step out of the vehicle. >> Two more occupants. Come back to me. Come back to me. Come back to me. >> All occupants were detained and the driver taken into custody. Charges stemmed from fleeing reckless driving and involvement in a collision affecting another vehicle. December 6th, 2024, a speeding Volkswagen Pat caught the attention of Missouri State Highway Patrol as it moved erratically across lanes. The driver ignored signals to stop and kept going. >> We're either taking the Emma exit or passing on the shoulder here. We're taking the M exit. We sum it. I'll have my traffic in a moment. 14.37.8 left. northbound into the MRA parking lot. Correction, we are eastbound on Locust.
