You recognize that pickup at all? >> Kind of. Yeah. I don't know. >> You're under arrest for attempted murder in the first degree. >> Wait, what? >> You just saw 17-year-old Joseph Good. Just hours ago, this teenage hitman was caught fleeing on camera after the attempted murder of Baron Lee. But that very same footage he is being confronted with will soon reveal that Joseph isn't the only killer. >> Your truck drives at an area where somebody is shot and killed, and the person who shoots and kills him gets into your truck and you drive back. What does that make you? >> Bat guy, apparently. >> And together, Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle D here have left behind a damning trail of clues that will seal their fate and reveal that at the center of everything is a twisted and evil woman. >> We were high. I mean, I don't think he was supposed to survive. >> I wouldn't even have the to pull a trigger on someone. >> So, I know that you know what happened. Then, don't lie to me. >> Yeah, I was unsure and things only got so far. On July 10th, 2020, police in Belleview, Washington, responded to a panicked call from a woman hiding in her apartment. After hearing what seemed like endless gunshots from the parking lot just outside her window, she dropped to the ground and begged police to come help. When they arrived, they discovered a disturbing scene. Baron Lee was lying on the pavement by his car, bleeding heavily from nine gunshot wounds. On route to the hospital, he repeatedly asked police to make sure his son, who was in his home, was okay. His seven-year-old son, Eric, was the light of his life. Disabled after a healthcare mishap, he relied on his father for care. Care that Baron put above everything else in his life. Even as he stood at death's door. As Baron fought for his life through multiple surgeries to remove six bullets that remained inside him, police tracked down who had done this to them, and it led them to a surprising place. to two 17-year-olds teen who had been hired as hitmen or hit boys by Baron's ex-wife. And the reason why is as unbelievable as the crime itself. To get to the bottom of it, police brought the two suspects, the shooter Joseph and the getaway driver Quincy, in for questioning. The following footage was kindly provided to us by the Bell Police Department. And it begins with the 17-year-old not getting off to a very good start. Have you ever been arrested before? >> Uh, one time like probably like 6 months ago. >> Okay. >> We turned around Christmas. >> What was that for? >> Uh, I was drinking and then I was driving around with my friends and we were drinking and then we got like we like broke a window or something. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. >> So, like malicious mischief or something like that. >> That was the only time though. >> Okay. >> I think that was like January. kind of a youthful indiscretion. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Not super concerned about that. Um did they read you your rights at the time? >> Uh do you remember? >> Yeah. Uh no, I don't think so. >> No. Okay. >> I don't remember. >> Okay. Well, we're going to go through it again just so you understand everything. >> Um >> Okay. Let's just go ahead and do that now. Yeah. We got a lot of information to share with you. So, yeah. Police read him his rights for the second time in his short life. Now, if I had already been arrested at 17, my parents would have made sure I didn't live to see 18, let alone get arrested again. In the next room over, Quincy, who has a squeaky clean record, agrees to speak with police. >> When was the last time you uh you were down in Belle? >> You probably noticed we're from Belle PD. We're not from Alberta PD. When when was the last time you think you were in Bel? >> Um last time like officially like I was down there like moving walking around and stuff. >> Well, I mean what's officially versus unofficial? >> I mean I I drove and passed through Belleview and drove and pass back but I haven't really been to Belle since what? I haven't been walking around Belle since co started. I mean I went down there. We me and my friend drove around then we went back. Didn't find anything to do. I got bored. >> Who was that that you were down there with? >> A friend. >> You remember who? [clears throat] >> Yeah. >> But may I ask what it was all about though? I mean, >> well, yeah. We had an incident in Belleview that and that's what we're here to talk to you about. They they told you what you were arrested for, right? >> No, they didn't. I was asking and they were just like, "Shut up and just wait for the detective." >> That's all that's all told me and I was >> Yeah. So, so like we said, it was a it's a pretty serious thing, but as we said, we right now we think you're more minimal, but >> minimal in your involvement in it. Like I think there's other people that are more >> I don't know how to best explain it. So, there's other people that obviously have played a greater role in what happened. >> You fine. I think as we talk about it, it'll probably make more sense, but >> Okay. So, to be clear, you're under arrest for an assault. >> An assault? >> An assault? Yes. >> Uh, and it's a pretty serious one. >> What assault? >> Assault. >> You know, like beating up someone. >> That's one. >> Harming another human being. Yeah. >> Harming another human being. So, like you're beating someone up like >> uh this one's a little more serious than that. This one involved a firearm. >> A firearm? >> What firearm? >> In in this particular case, it was a handgun. >> A handgun. >> Okay. >> And the good news is, like we said, we think your involvement was minimal. Okay. >> Minimal. Yeah, we think like like you said, we think there are other people who are more responsible for this than you are. >> Okay. >> Um, which brings us back to the last time you were in Belleview. >> Mhm. >> And you you said that you were down there, but just kind of turned around, came back. >> Yeah. >> Do you remember when that was? >> No. >> Ballpark. >> I was me and my we were we didn't we went down there and we came back. We were just We were high. I mean, I'm going to come out straight with you guys. I mean, yeah, I smoke and everything. I We're high. We just got bored out home. We just We went for a drive. We like drives. I'm a car guy. I like to drive the wind and everything. >> Just Just to be clear, we're talking about marijuana. >> Yes. Okay. >> Just to be clear. Yes. [laughter] I promise that. Just Just remember, I wasn't drinking or anything. >> He smokes, but he didn't inhale. Great. I mean, you don't have to remember. [laughter] >> Quincy has taken a page from the cringy criminal handbook, repeating questions back to detectives to buy himself time. Fortunately for him, detectives want to gain a little trust before they call him out on his behavior because boy do they have some calling out to do. >> Do you remember who you were with? >> Just my buddy. My best friend. >> You have what's your best friend say? Um, >> you Sorry. He's your best friend. >> Yeah, my best friend. [clears throat] >> So, is there any reason why tell us you weren't his best friend? >> Well, I mean, we haven't really hanged out much. We've been getting in arguments a lot. >> What's going on? >> We just we're disagreeing on certain things about why he's been like just I don't know. He's been really just I've been inviting him to go like hang out and stuff. He's like, "No, I'm busy." Blah blah blah. And I don't know. I just been home getting really depressed and stuff like wants to hang out with me. I'm getting bored and lonely, you know. >> Yeah. >> And so he's just he's been doing his own thing. I haven't heard from him. I've only hanged out with his sister. I've been hanging out with my friends. I've been going to the parties. I don't know what he's been doing. >> But I heard word on the street he's like trying to hook up with some gang. >> Oh, really? >> I don't know. I was That's what I heard. He's like hanging out with some of the guys or [snorts] >> Wow. >> made some gang involvement or something. >> Anything about that? >> I don't know anything about that. >> So, the last time that that you went down there and you were remember which car you were driving? >> I was driving a red truck. >> Red truck. Um what what kind of truck whose truck is it? >> My dad's [snorts] what kind of truck does your dad have? It's a 1995 [clears throat] >> Ford F-150. >> It's a classic. >> Yeah. >> Is it like a crew cab? >> Uh, single. >> Do you remember where you wound up in Belleview? Like what part of Belle you were in? >> Uh, no. We just What? It was late. It was late. And then we stayed at We stayed the night at this little little place by Pass Belle View a bit. probably towards it was past Belleview, but I think we're heading towards um what was it? >> Which direction? >> The pass. We're heading towards the pass. So, we went from low north area. >> Yeah, we're around there. We stayed the night somewhere. >> You said the hotel? >> No, we stayed I stayed in my truck cuz I was low on gas and I didn't want to put gas until the morning. And so the next morning, we slept in our we slept in the truck. We woke up, it was cold, so we we start the truck. We left around probably early in the morning so I could get home before 12 or 1. And so we left, drove all the way back. So here's the deal. Like I said, we have some information that uh you went to Belleview and that you were involved in what we're talking about and what we're what we want to talk about. um we know there with you just like you said we want to give you the opportunity to tell us what happened. Um you know we basically already know what happened. Um we're giving you the opportunity because one like I said we don't think that you were that involved. >> Yeah. >> But you know if you try to cover up or kind of sugarcoat your involvement and that's going to look bad on you. You know, I've always told people, you know, there's two types of people in the world. There's ones that do something and make a mistake and then they own up to it. >> You know, it's like, hey, yeah, I did something wrong. Then admit it, I did something wrong. Those people get their punishment. There's people that do something wrong and then they say, no, I never did anything wrong. And when it finally comes to fruition, people find out it's a whole lot worse. Right? I don't know if you've ever seen that in life, but that you know, so when you have the opportunity like you do right now, we're giving you that opportunity to kind of tell us what happened when you were here in Belio or in Bel. >> We also know that there is another person involved that needs to be held accountable for a much larger role in this than than you seem to have played. Okay. And that's a big part of what we're interested in today, >> right? >> There's a reason we're talking to you because we already talked. >> So, we know there's more to what you guys did when you were in Bel than what you're telling us because we've already talked with them. >> Huh. >> So, you want to tell us your side of what happened and what your involvement was? I we went I was [snorts] parked on a hill. Like I said, my truck was acting funny. >> Okay. >> And I started it. Said he was going to go look for something. I didn't really know. I didn't. And then next thing you know, I turn on my truck. It's ticking. My windows are rolled up and everything. I'm just chilling. And he just comes back and he just said, "We got to go. Whose idea was the trip to Bel? >> Idea? >> Yeah. >> His >> Did he tell you why he needed to go to Bel? >> Not really. >> When did he tell you that he needed to go to Belgium? >> Uh, >> I don't remember. >> Was it that night? It It was >> Okay. I can't really remember cuz >> I was on shrooms. >> I was on shroom. I >> You know, you and Jada were smoking shrooms for the first time. >> Yeah, I was on shrooms. I I I was tripping hard and stuff and I mean I did smoke too and that intens he was just all like, "Let's go to Belleview and stuff." And I was like I was agreeing with him and everything. >> Mhm. >> So it was that night. This wasn't something you guys had talked about earlier in the week like, "Hey, let's go to Belleview on on Friday." >> Not really. >> It was just that morning >> that that he grabbed you and wanted to go. >> Mhm. >> And you guys drove down that morning, right? >> Yeah. >> It wasn't the night before. You didn't sleep in your truck. >> Okay. >> If you're going to lie to two detectives faces, you might want to sound a little more confident than Quincy does here. But there's a good reason why he's starting to sweat. Because days before the murder, Quincy and Joseph had a text conversation where Joseph offered Quincy $5,000 to drive him to commit the murder. Well, attempted murder at least. And why exactly does Joseph need a driver? Because he only had his learner's permit. He's in for a whole different kind of learning in prison. >> So once you get there, he gets out of the car. What does he tell you? >> He's all like, "I'll be back." And I was like, "Where you going?" And he's all like, I'm just going to go walk around. I'm tired of sitting in the truck. And I was like, okay, well, I'm not going to go walk around. I'm not wearing the right type of shoes for these. Cuz at the time, my shoes, I don't want to get them. >> Thank you. But they're dirty already. But um >> at the time, they're brand new. And so I was like, I ain't walking. I already creased them enough from pushing in my clutch a lot. So I was I'm just chilling in the truck. And then my truck starts ticking >> and I'm just trying to figure out what it is. Open my hood and everything. And I start checking the engine and everything. And then I get back in my truck. I pop music. I start texting, "Where you at? Where you at? Where you at?" And I didn't text back. And then he just, you see him walking. And then he gets back in. He's like, "Let's go." And I was like, "Where were you?" And he's like, "I was just walking like I said." I was like, "Okay." Cuz [snorts] you know, he said he got out a couple of times. >> Mhm. [clears throat] >> So he said he left and came back. Left and came back. Mhm. >> So you just said it was just one time. Was it one time or was it multiple times or >> I mean there was the gas and then Har when we took a piss. >> Well, I meant after you parked. >> Oh, after >> he gets out and he leaves. >> Yeah. >> Where you drove away without him? >> Yeah, I did. Cuz my truck was ticking. >> Okay. So, where did you go to? >> I just drove down to the light. I took a left, went to the gas station, flipped it, went back right to the same hill, and then I was waiting for him. still texting, "Where you at? Where you at?" Nothing. And so I stayed parked for a couple more minutes again. And then I turn my truck back on. It's making that ticking again. And so I drive it again back down to the light around the gas station and then back. And I text I'm like, "Bro, where you at?" I didn't get a response. >> You one of the times drove through or actually a couple times drove through the apartment complex, too. >> Yeah. cuz I was trying to find him at first. I mean, the third time I went, I went, I was like, "Okay, let me see where he's at." So, I just went driving around cuz I got forward, too. So, I was just driving around. I went across down. I went all over. And then I went down the road more, came back, went towards the store. I I couldn't spot him anywhere. >> I I don't know where he went. >> You said he came walking back last time, but he told us he came running back. >> Oh, really? Yeah. >> Any reason why you said he came running back? >> I probably saw him once he was walking. >> I mean, I'm over here tripping on shrooms. I mean, everything's different. I can't remember time. I can't remember exact date. I mean, it's the mind games. >> You said you went through an apartment complex, but you dropped him off and you got out. >> Not at the apartment complex. >> Not at the apartment complex. You didn't drop him off? >> Uh-huh. >> Where'd you drop him off at? Uh, I was on a hill. You're >> on a hill? >> Yeah. Like towards another like towards a like a tennis court, I think. >> Why did you go there? >> Cuz I was just parked there. I He said pull over and he's like, I want like Okay. And I just stood there. He's like, I'll be back. I'm just going to go for a walk. And I'm like, okay, well, I'm just going to stay here cuz I don't really want to waste any more gas. So, I just stood there listening to music on my phone, playing games, waiting for him. nothing. And then I finally was like, "Okay, [snorts] recognize a truck." >> Yeah, >> that's mine. >> It's your truck. >> So, you see the the date there on the bottom? It's actually kind of backwards, but it's kind of ironic. Yesterday, [clears throat] >> like right here. >> Well, the date is backwards. The month is in the middle. >> The month is in the middle. Yeah. >> 10 is >> even though that if that was October 7th, that would be yesterday, but we obviously weren't there yesterday. It's July 10th, 2020. >> Okay. Yeah, that's my truck. >> So, that was your truck going into this parking lot here. >> Mhm. >> So, that and that's right there by that hill you were talking about. >> So, >> yeah, I was like I was parked like probably right here. >> Mhm. [clears throat] >> And then I stood there letting cars go through and everything and then my trucks I turn it on, starts ticking, check the hood and everything. >> Yeah. So, you pulled in here, you parked, actually pulled in, and then you pulled out, you drove, and then you went parked on that side of the hill. And after you parked, Joseph's not walking by. >> Yeah. And so at 6:40, he walks in and then we have other ones where he walks in, walks out, walks in, walks out. This your truck, like I said, goes out. There's also traffic cameras everywhere in the city of Belleview. >> Okay. So comes back, gets in the truck. Does he tell you what he what he did? Did talk [snorts] about it at all? >> Mhm. Okay. >> Did he show you the gun he had? >> Uh he had a gun. >> Did he show it to you? >> Not that I remember of like I was on shroom. I mean I can't even remember what I did. I was on when I was on shrooms to be honest with you guys. I >> So what happened after you left there? >> We just drove back. I mean, the only thing was weird is I don't know. He was just kept saying, "You got to go. We got to go." I was like, "Why? I mean, chill out. What's wrong?" And he's like, "Nothing. Just I want to go [snorts] home already." I was like, "Okay, go back." >> At this point, Quincy should be aware of how much trouble he's in if he's paying attention because police were essentially able to track their entire journey to Bell and their journey back, including this footage of Joseph returning after the shooting. And as detectives have said, that's not walking. That's a person running from the consequences of their actions. >> We have So, [snorts] so this is when you leave Belleview. Um, right here. >> Mhm. >> This is Lake M Newport. And this is 8:26. You're leaving Belleview. We were able to get the license plate from that picture there, which is how we knew that your pickup was there, >> right? So 826, you leave Belleview. And so this person here in the car >> and then you're driving, >> always wear the seat belt under his arm like that. >> Always wear the seat belt under his arm like that when he's in your seat. Driving seat. >> A lot of people don't wear seat belts in my car. >> Oh, he's >> he's got one on. >> He wears it. He just wears it under his arm. >> Yeah, he does. >> Is that that a regular thing? >> Yeah, all my friends do it. >> All your friends do? >> Yeah. >> But does it as well? >> Yeah. >> Why? I I mean I I'll do it where I just have it behind me. I just have it there. >> You see there? There's Jo there, right? >> Mhm. >> Do you agree it's Joseph? Your truck. >> Yeah. >> This is on July 17th. And this was the same one on July 10th when he basically came back. >> Yeah. >> So, so in the truck with you, you guys drive to you come back. Um, so you don't know what happened when got out of the truck at all? >> No. >> You don't know? Do you know anything that happened up in this apartment complex? >> No. >> No. You don't know anything at all? >> No. >> Okay. So, this I want you to be honest with me. I I know that you know what happened. [snorts] >> What do you mean? >> I know. So, this is I won't I don't ask questions. cuz I don't already know the answer to >> so I know that you know what happened. I mean, I I was on shrooms. I mean, >> okay, so I'm being I'm telling you guys everything, but I'll show you this picture. >> You see the time right here? >> 12:05. >> Yeah. Uhhuh. Dri has anything about that picture that looks unique? [laughter] >> Looks unique. >> Yeah. I mean, what does this look like? It is the just the format of the picture itself. Not what the content is, but like if I take this whole picture away, what do you see up there at the very top? >> Like if you look here, here, and here, what do you see? >> Phone percent. Like the time and stuff. >> Yeah. What are the What is What do you see that on >> a phone? >> A phone, right? It's a screenshot. You've seen screenshots before, right? >> You know whose phone that screenshot came from? >> 12:05. This was a screenshot. >> Okay. >> Whose phone do you think that was came off of? >> I don't know. >> So, I found that image on your phone. >> On my phone? >> Yeah. >> See, we have the ability to write warrants. >> Mhm. to Apple and we can get information from them and anything that you do on your phone goes out in the cloud. You know what the cloud is, right? >> So, this picture was on your phone was a screenshot from your phone that was taken at 12:05 on the day of the shooting. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, you the shooting occurs at 8:24. You drive back to Mount Vernon and at 12:05 you look up this shooting. Mhm. >> Okay. >> And you take a screenshot of it and then you deleted it and put it in your expunge folder, >> which is where I found it. Then the next morning at 5:05, you took another screenshot of the same thing. Different different news media. I don't have that picture with me, but you took another one >> following up on that. So that's how I know you know what happened there. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Okay. Why would you be looking to see this? >> What happened there? >> Probably. He probably told me when I was on Shrims. >> He told you on shrooms that he went there? >> Probably. >> What did he tell you? He did? >> I don't really remember. >> You don't remember what told you? >> I was on shrooms all day. >> Okay. >> And then we took acid the next day. >> So remember, we already told you that you're part I understand that. Yeah. right now, you know, you're driving somebody to Belle to commit a crime and then bringing them back from Mount Vernon. Okay. >> So, do you want to make more crimes by lying to us about what your involvement was in it or what you know about it or what he said to you? >> I don't know much about it. I mean, what did you mean? He just told his go to Belleview. He went, he did his own thing. Next thing you know, he got back in. I'm tripping on shrooms. He just starts saying we gotta go and he's all like he's all like check the news check the new and you get home and stuff and I was like why is this and that? He's like just do it. And I was like okay. >> So told you to look at the news to see what happened. >> Isn't it crazy how selective Quincy's memory is on shrooms? Joseph, however, has a lot less to say, and he wouldn't be happy if he heard what Quincy was confessing. >> I don't Did you catch where we were from? >> Uh, what do you mean? >> What? Like, >> city we work from? >> So, we're in Mount Vernon right now, but >> Oh, Belle. I saw the thing. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, we're from Belle. Um, any ideas why we might be talking with you today? >> Okay. So, um, back in July, around July 10th or so, um, we had an incident in Belleview [snorts] that you may or may not have been familiar with, I don't know. Um, there was a shooting in Belleview. Individual got shot. So, um, anyways, going back. So, we went out and we investigated that and during the course of our investigation, we um were came across a vehicle. I'm just wondering if you might recognize that. Actually, before I even get to that, I didn't know. Do you recognize who that is? >> No. >> Never seen her before. [clears throat] How about that lady? >> Are they the same person? >> No. [laughter] I I don't know. I've never seen them. >> You've never seen either of those people before? >> Not that I can remember. >> Do they look like the same person? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> I don't I think there's potential that they are the same person at one point. >> Cuz the hair looks dyed. >> Yeah. >> Well, but hair color could be changed. >> Yeah. So maybe it used to be that. >> Yeah. It goes back. You can see the roots are darker like that. So yeah, I think it's same person. Just uh things have changed. kind of like a catfish. But so but you had never seen that person before. How about him? Recognize that guy? >> Yeah, that's my thing. >> Do you hang out with ever or >> every once in a while? >> Every once in a while. >> Yeah. >> Ever drive with to Bel? Uh >> I don't remember. We used to hang out a lot. What happened? >> I don't know. We just don't hang out a ton anymore. Every once in a while. >> Every once in a while, but not as much anymore. When did you guys stop hanging out together? >> We still hang out just like not a ton. >> Anything major happened that did you do something that maybe made you stop want to hang out with him? >> I don't think so. No. Right. So, when uh like I said, we had that shooting in Bellevio. After we went back, we uh we found this this vehicle um pulling into a gas station down bel. Yeah. >> Kind of. >> I don't know. >> You don't know? >> I'm not sure. >> You're not sure. You've never seen that pickup before or >> I know a few people who own those. Anybody that you know that owns a pickup like that? >> Yeah, a couple other people. >> So, does have one like that? >> I'm not sure if it's that one, but I think so. I don't know. >> Have you ever been in pickup before? >> Mhm. >> When was the last time that you were in this pickup? >> I don't know. It's been broken for a long time. >> What happened to it? >> Clutch or something. I think went out. >> Clutch went out. >> Yeah. You know how long that's been? >> A long time. I'm not exactly sure, but >> that's fine. I I just Some people say a long time and I'm like, "Oh, is that like two two weeks?" I'm old. >> So a long time to me is like years. >> Yeah. >> But I imagine probably driving the pickup very long if you only have a permit. >> Yeah. >> Well, he's had his license longer than me. So >> Okay. >> Or I don't have it at all, [laughter] but >> he's had it a while. So, it was a long time, like a couple weeks, or is it like two months, a year? Cuz you said the clutch had been out for a long time. I was just trying to put a reference on. >> Six, five, six months. I don't know. >> Five or six months clutch. >> I don't know. I'm not exactly sure. >> Oh, so there's that picture there. Um, that look any clearer? No, not really. >> Did I get an attorney before I answer all these questions and stuff? I feel like I'm doing it wrong. >> That's fine. One child, they have an attorney. >> Okay. >> All right. >> And what will an attorney do for me? Like >> tell me what to say or what? >> Well, I mean, you've asked for attorney, so I can't explain to you what an attorney will do for you. [clears throat] Um, that's what the attorney will explain to you. What I'll tell you is that we're [snorts] going to Do you have time? >> Y. >> Um, so at this point, we're not gonna ask any more questions. U, we're going to put you into a a holding area. >> We'll work on getting you access to that attorney. >> Okay. >> Um, we're going to end up we'll have you transported. Um, you remain aware of what you were arrested for earlier, correct? >> Uh, they said assault. It's an assault, but it's assault in the first degree. Um, and it's in correlation with an attempted murder in the first degree. >> Wait, what? >> So, you're under arrest for attempted murder in the first degree. Okay. >> So, like I said, I'm not going to ask any questions, but we're going to put into a holding cell. Um, and we have another interview to do with some of the other individuals and but you'll be booked down into King County Youth Correction Center. >> Okay. >> So, let me go ahead and work on getting that attorney for you. Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. Time is 1:42 and I'm ending the audio only recording. Just hold tight here for just a second. Okay. >> What's happening is exactly what should happen because Joseph didn't just shoot a random person. He became a failed assassin. Also, a woman could get revenge on an ex. Originally, the victim, Baron Lee, was married to this lady, Sharon Rose Kelly. After the birth of their son, who developed a disability due to medical malpractice, she began to have affairs and refused to care for their son. Yet, when Baron tried to divorce her, all hell broke loose. She called the police, claiming that Baron had hit her and her son. The reality, however, was the opposite. Sharon was wrongly given full custody of their son. Within the first 3 months of him being in her care, he was hospitalized five times, resulting in Baron regaining custody just a few weeks before he was shot by Joseph. All because Sharon wanted revenge and evidently custody of a son she couldn't properly care for. But how did Sharon even know these two 17-year-olds to pay them to kill her ex? We'll get to it. Yeah. Don't lie to me. Remember, >> have you ever seen with a gun? >> Probably when I was on Friends. Yeah. >> Have you ever seen firing a gun? >> No. >> Have you ever seen Snapchat videos of firing a gun? >> Snapchat? >> Yeah. Snapchat? >> Not shooting a gun? >> You've never seen a video of shooting a gun? Because he sent one to you on the 13th of July. >> I ain't get no video. I promise that. >> I can go pull it up. I have it on my laptop. Pull it up. I didn't He didn't send me any. >> Not shooting a gun here. Just shooting a gun out. Shooting out on a hillside. >> On a hillside. >> On gravel road. >> Oh, probably. Yeah. >> Well, you just said you've never seen him with a gun. >> I mean, yeah. We've shot guns at his house at his dad's. >> What kind of guns? >> 12 gauge. Uh, little 22. Like a rifle. >> What about handguns? >> Uh, his dad has a big one. That's all I know of. >> And then with a little small one. >> Little small one. What? >> A little small gun. >> What [clears throat] kind of gun? >> Uh, it was all black. >> Where does he keep that? >> I don't know. >> He's got a little all small black gun. >> You know what caliber that is? >> No, I don't really know much about guns. >> What would you think your truck drives there? who goes up there. You drive around an area where somebody is shot and killed >> and the person who shoots and kills him gets into your truck and you drive back to Mount Vernon >> pretty I mean that's what it's pretty much sounding to me too. >> Yeah. Then what does that make you? >> Bad guy apparently for being on shrooms and doing stupid and listening to someone else. Yeah. >> Did Do you know who this person is? That's not very fiction. I'll go with this one. You ever met that person and know who that person is? >> Mhm. >> Do you have no idea? >> No. Do you know the Kelly family? >> No. >> Name does ring and bell to you. >> Kelly? No. I know Kell's, but she's white and skinnier. You ever have a be so I'm curious about the discussion that you and that >> all that's pretty much half blank. >> It's half blank. he hasn't talked to you about since that >> because I find it hard to believe that you download those two things and then you don't have a discussion and then he sends you a Snapchat video of him firing the gun a few days later after he says, "Hey, look what happened." >> I screenshotted. I didn't tell him about it. >> You just told me he told you to >> Yeah, he told me to check the news, but he didn't he didn't really say anything after that. I just I checked it. I screenshotted it. I kept it and I deleted it. I mean, I didn't really text him about anything. >> So, I mean, obviously, you've known all this before, but you're like playing po with us. And most people when we bring them in here, >> when we tell them, hey, you're under arrest for a serious assault, in this case, an attempted murder, they become a little bit more cooperative, like, hey, I don't want to be involved [clears throat] with that at all. So, this is kind of like your last chance to tell the truth. tell us what your involvement is because I don't know if you want to be wrapped up on or on or you know if you're looking out for what's best for going forward because people are going to be held accountable and I want you to tell me the truth because like I said I don't believe that your involvement is as great as the others but if you're going to lie about it then other people are like well he lied about this lied about this so he probably knew about everything else cuz he's covering up for it so you need to tell us what you knew. >> I didn't know much. He just told me. I mean, like I said, I was on shrooms. I'm not lying about they cast Jada. I was on shrooms. >> I know you were on shrooms. I saw the videos of you and Jada and Jada swimming through the thing with the gold thing on top of her head that she sent you. >> Right. Like I said, I've seen all the Snapchats. I've I've got all of that. This is why I know that you guys were there. This is why I know what happened. >> Yeah, I get that. >> Okay. So, this is your chance. What did tell you? >> Uh, you just told me I have to say anything pretty much to be honest with you. >> Okay. So, >> did he tell you? >> I I saw it. I did text him. I'm like, "Bro, what did we do?" Blah, blah, blah. He's like, "Don't worry about it. You'll be fine." I was like, "Bro, it's not okay. Why?" I'm I was dripping on shrooms and stuff. And after that, I was freaking out. I I didn't know what to do. I >> really did it. >> It's [clears throat] a pretty serious thing. I mean, >> it is. >> He took advantage of your friendship by sucking you into this, right? >> He did. >> How did he convince you to go to Belia? >> I I was down with it. I mean, I was on stream. I I felt great and he just go to Bel. I was like, bro, I don't want to. I mean, at first I didn't want to. And then [clears throat] I was on stream. He's like, "Bro, who cares? Let's just go. You'll be fine. This and that. I'll pay for everything. I was like, well, I mean, I I guess we went. I didn't know what he did. And like when he told me to check the news later, I did. I saw that. I didn't have to. >> That's [clears throat] why you're not best friends anymore. >> Yes. >> Out of all the reasons teenagers have had a falling out, got to say this is more valid than most. On top of that, there's another person at their high school who's going to be affected by this. Sharon's teenage brother, who was friends with and was in the same class as Joseph and Quincy, which is how Sharon got connected to them in the first place. However, it's important to note that Sharon's brother was unaware a crime was taking place, and he didn't have any knowledge of Sharon reaching out to Joseph or Quincy, so he's innocent. And as much as Quincy would like to pretend he is, there's one pesky detail that prevents him from being an innocent bystander. >> What about the money? >> What money? Did talk to you about getting paid? >> About like probably like five, five grand just to help you. >> So you said somewhere between four and six grand, right? >> Yeah, somewhere around there. >> Cuz that's what you told your friends. [clears throat] >> I did. Yeah. >> Who' you tell that you were going to get paid? >> Just my close friends, >> but I didn't really >> Which which friends did you tell? >> Uh >> obviously I already know. I've seen the Snapchats. >> Yeah, that's true. I can't remember directly right now, but I I did tell people. >> Okay. So, did you get paid? >> No. >> What did say why you didn't get paid? >> I didn't really ask him questions cuz I was scared. >> Did he threaten you? >> No, he did not threaten me. It's just I didn't really want to mess with him. The whatever he did, I didn't I didn't want I mean, I thought about it. I mean, yeah. At first I was I was freaking out and then after I was like well I mean if I'm if he said he was going to give me some money and I was like I I can help my parents with that because we're we're we're struggling on money. We're tight. >> Yeah. But you also want a new car too. >> Yeah. So you wanted some of the money to go down for a car >> and the rest for them to help. >> You've been selling some drugs lately. >> We've been watching for a while. We know what you've been doing. Yeah, I could care less about how I sell. >> I've got your Snapchats. I know you've been >> Oh, no. I Nope. Sort it. Nope. Straight up with you guys. You were on it. >> I'm I'm being honest with you guys. Yeah. >> Did you find the koi yet? >> Huh? >> Did you find the quiet? >> What? >> What? >> Yeah. >> Quit using it. >> Quit using it. >> Yeah. >> You said you want to impress a girl. You were able to quit on your own. >> Huh? said you wanted [clears throat] to impress a girl because you quit on your own. >> Quit. >> Yeah. >> A while ago. >> Yeah. >> Anyway, so but we've watched you get in, do some handtohand deals with some people, >> drive pretty fast, >> right? >> So, so if you look at this picture again though, this is July 10th. This is 7 days later. So, you said that you weren't down with it. At what point did you and your falling out? Wait, wait, wait. >> You said that it took you a while to realize that you weren't down with what he did. >> Yeah. I realized that probably like what I started thinking about it the day I read this. And from there, I didn't really I didn't really want to talk to him. I didn't I didn't want to do anything. I I was scared. I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to tell my parents. that. So, some of the things you told me already, >> I mean, let's be honest, those are wrong and you know they were wrong and a good person wouldn't necessarily do those. But a good person like you're being right now tells the truth and makes amends for what happened. Okay? >> I can guarantee you that there's more than just that's out there that needs to be held accountable because two 16 17 year old >> young men don't go out and say, "Hey, let's randomly take somebody out. Oh, what what I've noticed about Jerry's he's been hanging out with the wrong crew. All right. I could tell you guys that he's been hanging out with the wrong crew. I don't know why. >> I said that at the beginning. He's like hanging out with the gang, right? >> Yes. >> Of all you guys. I mean, you're throwing the gang signs with all of them as well, right? So, what are the what are the gang signs that you guys are throwing? >> Uh, just the blood. >> I mean, pretty much. Yeah. >> So, how do you make it? >> What? Which one? >> That one? I don't know. I've seen Snapchat videos of you guys doing >> I mean yeah I mean I yeah I'll do the game signs but I mean I'm not really into I just I do it because I want to act I want to act cool around other people. I mean >> yeah I hang I hang when I hang around I started getting like me he showed me all these and stuff and I started doing them in pictures and videos just to for the clout and stuff you know. >> Both Joseph and Quincy were known to throw gang signs and wear gang affiliated colors. Now, at the time of this interrogation, police had absolutely no idea that Sharon was behind the hit on her ex. Due to Joseph and Quincy's fangirling over local gangs, they assumed it had to be gang related. >> Let me back up. He offered you money to help him, right? >> No, you just told me at the end about it. >> He told you >> told me at the end like, "Do you want do you want 5 grand?" I was I pretty much gave me the option. >> Okay. And I said, >> "Yeah." >> How much did he say he was getting? >> I don't know. I know. >> That's That's standard question. Negotiating 101. You say, "Well, you're you give me five. How much are you getting?" >> I mean, that's a lot of money. Five grand. I I just >> Well, how much does he getting? >> Uh, well, I think he said like probably 13. >> His cut was 13. Yours was five. So, 18 total. Or was there another person in there that's getting a cut of that? >> That I I don't know. I He just told me for me said it was just he's getting paid and I'm getting paid. That does it. >> Yeah. >> So, the question becomes where did that money come from? Right. >> I haven't gotten any money. >> But what I'm saying is he didn't have that money to pay you, right? He's getting 13 from somebody, right? >> Yeah. Okay. >> So, so what does that lead you to believe is is happening here? >> Someone [clears throat] told him to do it, >> right? >> Yeah. >> He's being he's being paid. He's bringing you off a piece for being his driver, basically, right? I believe. >> Okay. So, the question is where where's that coming from? >> I don't know. >> You don't have any idea who? >> Mhm. >> Did he ever talk to anybody else about it? >> He didn't have a conversation in front of you with anyone else. >> When he got back in the car, did he communicate with anyone, >> say that it was done or? >> No. >> And when was the first time you guys talked about going to Bellev to do this? the night I was on trips. >> Before you left? >> Yes. >> But he told you what you were going to do when you got there? >> Probably on the way when I was just tripping because me and J did do shrooms. I was at her place and then she gets home and just starts talking. I'm just on his couch just trying to enjoy my highness. And and I get that you had smoked a mushrooms and that that's going to have an effect on you, but you're straight enough to drive a car and you just described in perfect detail the route that you took while you were down there. Okay. So, we know your memory works. Okay. The the I was on things only go so far, >> right? >> So, at any point before you guys departed, did you talk about doing this? >> No. But on the way down there, he told you he was going down there to do this. >> Yeah. >> Show you the gun on the way down. No. >> Show you where he had it. >> I wasn't paying attention to him. >> He said he told you he was going to do it, so you knew he was going to shoot. >> Yeah, but I didn't know like where it was at. He didn't show me the gun or anything. Did >> he tell you what what the job was? Like what he had to do? No, you just said that he was going to go and uncip a whole clip. That was it >> on somebody. >> Just unclip a clip. That was it. >> You took that to mean? What? What did you take that to mean? >> Oh, he's going to do something bad. >> Like what? What does it What does it mean to take a whole clip or >> catch someone, shoot someone? >> So, you know what? [clears throat] >> Yeah. But in my head, I was just like I thought it was just bluffing honestly. Like he didn't look like the type of person that would just do it because I've known he was nice and not in anything. >> What did you have the conversation with him about how you got into all this? >> The night I was on troops. >> No, no, I just said that if I had a buddy, I would have a conversation afterwards about, hey, what's going on? How how'd this all go down? We get paid. I want I want to know the details cuz I'm sucked into it now. >> And then you agreed. It sound like you had that conversation with. So I'm asking when you had that conversation with >> I was going to get paid. >> You didn't go into any details. >> I didn't go into details. I mean, cuz let's face it. I mean, if we may be friends, but push comes to shove, he may push me out of the boat and blame everything on me. >> Well, that's what probably what it's looking towards him. How are you doing that to me? I >> trying to get your side. >> I'm telling you guys straight up. I'm being honest. I'm being everything I am right now to be helpful to you guys right now. I do not know who he's connected with. I do not know who his big homies are. >> He told me I did it. it. I did it. I regret it. I should have just reminded him of anything, but I don't know who his connections are. >> Jo, sorry. >> I just want to make sure that you're getting everything out because >> and if you have people, you know, Jose's pointing fingers certain people and you're pointing fingers, you know, it's going to be >> But who am I pointing fingers to? I mean, I'm telling you guys everything you guys are asking and I'm trying to be honest. I'm just scared. >> I don't want nothing going against me. >> Understand? >> Because honestly, I'm I'm rading out >> people and if anything if any if anything goes out between me, a lot of people know me as an innocent kid and as when they're on my bad side, they know how I am. But honestly, doing something like this, >> I wouldn't I wouldn't have the balls to pull a trigger on someone. >> I wouldn't. I I don't know why I did this. I This is my mistake. I'm telling you guys everything, but I do not know his plugs. I do not know who he's >> now. Despite being shot nine times, Baron miraculously came out of surgery with three bullets still inside him and was able to stand long enough to take a photo to send to his wife, assuring her that he was okay. After discovering this news, Sharon texted Joseph telling him that he wasn't going to get paid until the job was done, which means, of course, neither was Quincy. Though, at this point, missing out on $5,000 is the least of his worries because his victim is still talking and he's got a story to tell. >> Did you read the article? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Did you see what happened to him? >> It's sad. I >> What? What did the article say? I didn't. Um it said something about um shots fired and about how the dude's in the hospital on like tubes and stuff like that. >> Say how many times you got hit? >> What? Like what? Five times. >> Like nine times. >> Nine times. >> Yeah. >> You know, and he's got a family. He's got life. >> He does. >> Yeah. >> Which [snorts] is why we're here, >> right? >> Yeah. I get that. >> He deserves some justice. >> He does. And I appreciate that you acknowledge that. It speaks well of you that you acknowledge that. You know, if you sat here and told me you didn't care, I'd be really worried about you as a human being. >> You know, I see remorse. And that's that's why we appreciate you helping us out with this. It, you know, you you said you were you described it as ratting somebody out. It sounds like you got roped into it. >> I did. unfairly, you know, >> I mean, if if you got drugged into this when you were high, >> you know, not necessarily on point mentally, >> right? >> You feel like took advantage of you here. >> So, anything that you can remember, anything at all, smallest details might be important to us. You know, >> of course, the top of the list would be things like, "Where did those gloves go? Where did the gun go?" >> I don't know what he I >> I don't expect you to know everything. >> If I If I knew everything, >> I'd be at everything right now, but I'm being honest. I I I'm telling you guys what I know now. But with the stuff that he had, I don't know what he did with it >> or I don't know where he got his information. I don't know who told him to do it. I That's the part I don't know. Did he say how he was going to get paid? >> Mhm. >> He just said, "I'll give you cash." So, you were supposed to get five four to Well, you said $4 to $6,000 in cash. >> You were expecting to get paid like what was it? Two nights later. You're like, I'm getting paid tonight. So, when [snorts] did that discussion go down? >> Uh cuz you must have set up a time like, "Hey, this is when we're going to get paid." >> Well, he just said that. He said, "Come over one of these days and we might get paid." So I was like, "Okay." So I went, he said, "Well, not today." And I was like, like, "Why?" And he's like, "Because just not today." And I was like, "Okay." And so we just hanged out and we smoked in his room and then I left. >> All right. And you go back and and then the other days or just that one day you went over to get paid and then you let it go? >> I pretty much let it go after that day. I didn't I figured if we're going to get paid that day, we would get paid that day, you know. But no, didn't happen. And time went by and I was just like, I ain't even going to bother. I'm just going to try to just >> How many times did you ask him about it cuz I mean he's like $5,000 could go a long ways for you and your family. >> Yeah, I asked him probably like three times and that was it. >> What was his response? >> I don't know yet. Did he give you any like >> He didn't give me no details. He just said, "I don't know yet." >> He said, "Push back on it or like say, "Hey, back off." >> Well, I told I told him I was like, "Well, I told him I was like, "Well, dude, I'm trying to help my parents out. I'm trying to have cash, you know." He's like, "Well, I don't know." He just kept saying, "I don't know. I'll let you know soon." >> Double check yourself or anything like that or like try to put you in your place? >> No, he did. Yeah, >> he just he just [snorts] said what he said and I was just like, "Okay." And then after that I was just like I I'm just believe >> and so I just stopped asking. >> Did you ever discuss with him what happened to the person he shot? >> No. >> Do you know what happened to that person? >> Do you know if he lived or not? >> Uh was he on life support? >> Okay. So you never had a discussion with that with with about that? >> No, I mean I read I read this it it said what critical condition or something some like that? >> Yeah. I never really talked to him about like how did like I never interacted him to ask him like who >> you never thought to follow up figure out if the guy lived or if he died or if he's sitting still in the hospital through breathing tube or feeding tube. I mean, I checked this again and it said that he was in just in critical condition. [snorts] >> That was it. >> You haven't checked back ever since then? >> So, you don't know what happened to this guy? >> No. >> So, was it your belief that he was supposed to die? That's my belief like he was going to die on the spot >> or they >> or like [clears throat] what do you mean by that? I guess what I'm getting at is do do you think was sent there to kill him or rough him up or shoot him or was the end result that he was not supposed to survive? >> I I think I don't think he was supposed to survive. So >> does his dying or not dying have any bearing on getting paid? >> Uh I I don't know. I haven't heard anything about the money. >> He suffered no debilitating injuries despite the ridiculous amount of times he was shot. And to this day, he's raising his son and working to give him the best life possible. In all of this, Baron and his love for his son is a light, one that couldn't be killed by the darkness of his ex or her two teenaged accompllices. Ultimately, Sharon Rose Kelly was sentenced to just over 13 years in prison for hiring Joseph and Quincy to kill her ex-husband. Baron has rightfully expressed frustration over the length of her sentence, urging the court to sentence her at least until his son is an adult. Joseph Good pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 152 months, which is just over 12 years behind bars for attempted murder. Quincy pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of assault, earning himself 8 years in a juvenile detention center. We wish Baron Lee, his son, and his wife healing and happiness after their ordeal and hope they can find comfort that the people who put them through this are behind bars.
