On January 1st, 2021, Arkansas State Police took the lead in an afternoon pursuit after a driver refused to let the stop end quietly. The road signs apparently became unwilling background characters in a chase that was already heading in the wrong direction. The driver was taken into custody after the pursuit came to an end giving troopers the final word on a very messy afternoon. Since no specific charge list was provided, the aftermath stays simple. The arrest closed out the incident without needing to dress it up. On May 7th, 2025, a Washington State Patrol Trooper tried to stop 21-year-old Victor A. Hernandez Paredes for improper merging on westbound Interstate 90 near Preston. Instead of pulling over, Victor turned a routine traffic stop into a two-car family project. >> Get out of the car. Where troopers also found a woman and child unrestrained in the front seat. His younger brother, 18-year-old Daniel O. Hernandez Paredes, was later arrested in Seattle, and both brothers faced felony charges including eluding, obstruction, and reckless endangerment. On October 10th, 2023, Florida Highway Patrol got involved after Trooper Roselle initiated a pursuit of a red Dodge in Hernando County. The driver, later identified as Jose Manuel Feliz was suspected of possible impairment based on how the vehicle was being driven. >> 15 and 5 I'm lead. He was transported for medical clearance, returned to the Hernando County Jail, and booked after refusing breath samples during the impairment investigation. On January 11th, 2024, Florida Highway Patrol Criminal Interdiction Unit members spotted a white Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicle with a temporary tag that did not match any vehicle. Sergeant J. Diaz attempted to stop in Osceola County, and driver Jonathan Nicola chose the deluxe felony subscription instead. >> Here you are. Yep. He's going on turnpike. He's running. He faced no bond charges including trafficking dangerous fentanyl or fentanyl analogs, grand theft of a motor vehicle, possession of drug equipment and aggravated fleeing with injury or damage. On June 4th, 2022 New Mexico State Police became involved with a Clovis man suspected of driving while under the influence in Albuquerque. David Marquez, age 41, did not stop cleanly and the situation quickly moved from traffic enforcement to a much bigger problem. >> Stay. Stay. Sit down. Don't move. Shut up. Stay down. >> He got me. He got me. >> Stay. Stay. Stay there. Don't move. Hey. Come here. Come here. Get up. Get up. Stay right here. Go right here where you see my light. Sit down. Put your hand. Hey. I got her. I got her. And then the guy that was with you had a couple more of them. I'm sorry, honey. >> I'm sorry, honey. I'm so sorry. >> Going to get up, okay? One, two, >> David Marquez and passenger Gabriella Ramos, age 18, were both treated at a hospital and released before being booked into custody. Marquez was charged with aggravated fleeing from law enforcement, aggravated assault on an officer with a dangerous weapon, and driving while under the influence. While Ramos was charged with resisting, evading, and obstructing an officer. On July the 17th, 2024, a black motorcycle caught the attention of the Clayton County Sheriff's Office Black Hawk unit late at night. The rider tried to outrun deputies on the freeway, which is a bold plan when the unit behind him specializes in exactly that kind of nonsense. >> 75 north, speeds 138 passing Old Dixie, lane two. Black motorcycle. Lane one. Lane two. Lane three. Lane four. Speeds 125, traffic light. 41 up here. Black Hawk 580, show me the location. How do you advise on channelizing? GIVE ME GAS. I'm clear. >> The rider eventually stopped and was taken into custody after the pursuit reached its conclusion. No specific charge list was provided, but the ending made one thing clear. The Blackhawk unit did not need much imagination to figure out where this ride was going. On February 6th, 2023, Arkansas State Police pursued a motorcycle rider during the morning hours. The rider tried to stretch the situation far beyond a simple stop, and the road had other plans waiting. >> The suspect crashed into a pole and was taken into custody after the pursuit ended. No specific charges were provided, so the aftermath is kept to the confirmed facts. The rider survived the incident and the arrest followed. On January 30th, 2021, a Georgia State Patrol Trooper spotted a white Lexus RCF traveling about 105 mph in a posted 60 miles per hour zone in Atlanta. The driver briefly stopped on the shoulder, then decided the traffic stop was apparently just a rehearsal. >> Uh it's a white Lexus. I couldn't get the tags. It's taking off from me. He got off on University really fast and I'm trying to catch him. Uh looks like he probably hit somebody. Atlanta, you can show me back 10-80. We're on University traveling eastbound. Just crossed over prior. He struck something. He's got front end damage. >> Get the [ __ ] out! Get the GET THE [ __ ] GET THE [ __ ] WHAT ARE YOU DOING? >> PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR BACK. PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR BACK. >> THE DRIVER WAS IDENTIFIED AS CHRISTOPHER Allen after he was taken into custody and later transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. Warrants were secured for eight charges related to the pursuit, hit-and-run, no vehicle insurance, improper driver's license class, and license plate violations. On December 9th, 2023, Michigan State Police troopers in Grand Rapids heard multiple gunshots while clearing a traffic stop near Quigley Boulevard Southwest and Division Avenue. A dark passenger car was then seen speeding away from the area, which gave troopers a pretty obvious reason to investigate. >> Good afternoon, buddy. >> That's a good one. >> Let him talk. Let him talk. >> Speed's 120. >> Spikes at 60 at the division. >> They're still They're still there. >> Yeah, I don't know where. >> No, we're westbound 44th Street. >> They're opposite lane. >> Southbound 44. Feet in. >> Third. >> 6174, we got two pistols in the vehicle. >> Tyron Young was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit, while Casey Harmon was later found hiding under a vehicle in a motel parking lot. Troopers recovered two loaded firearms from the vehicle, and both suspects were lodged at the Kent County jail on their respective charges. On July 4th, 2025, a South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper attempted to stop a white Acura for following too close on Interstate 20 in Kershaw County. The female driver, later identified as Latoya Kenjador, answered the traffic stop with hand gestures and highway speed instead of compliance. >> Something 51 be advised this vehicle is traveling westbound just crossing over into Richland. Current speed is 113 traveling in number one lane. Still got light to moderate traffic. >> 379 210 >> 821, my current speed is 62. She's back in the number two lane. >> He's got nothing to do with him. Really really about 15. 379 online >> 850 >> 85821 go ahead and 10-4 10-4 10-1 10-50 10-50 10-50 10-51 >> Be advised 821 is still trying to attempt a rolling roadblock. You have the right to talk to an attorney and have him or her present with you while you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire an attorney, the court will appoint one to represent you for any questions. Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay, ma'am, why you didn't stop? >> 10-8, 10-53. >> You don't know? Okay, good. We're We started all the way back from the the 101 mile mark. We are now in the county. >> Thanks. Latoya Cansauter was taken into custody and later transported to Prisma Health Richland for treatment of lacerations before being booked into the Kershaw County Detention Center. She was charged with following too close, no seatbelt, a registration violation, operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to stop for blue lights. On June 11th, 2023, Florida Highway Patrol took over a Polk County pursuit as a stolen Infiniti QX80 Sport Utility Vehicle moved into Hillsborough County. The early morning run had already gone from county business to state level attention. >> The driver was taken into custody after the pursuit came to an end. Since no detailed booking information was provided, the wrap-up stays with the confirmed basics. The stolen Infiniti case ended with an arrest after Florida Highway Patrol stepped in. On October 31st, 2025, St. Johns County deputies responded to reports of a large juvenile disturbance inside the Las Colinas subdivision in St. Augustine. Callers reported a firearm being displayed which instantly made this Halloween costume party a law enforcement problem. >> 911, what's the address of your emergency? >> There must be over 150 kids screaming and cars piled up all over the uh intersection here in the cul-de-sac and there's I never saw somebody cuz there's fights going on and stuff. >> There's cars parked for a half a mile on both sides of the road, you can't cross. We slowed down to get through cuz kids are crossing for trick-or-treating and there's a kid out there with a handgun. >> Okay, do you feel like it's like it's part of his costume or it's like a real gun? >> No, it's a real gun, ma'am. >> There's like probably about 70 kids, maybe 100 kids. And they're acting crazy. They're they're driving in their cars like maniacs. >> What are you doing in this neighborhood? >> 26. >> Who do you know in this neighborhood? Who's your friend? All right, you keep your hands on the dash. You with your right hand turn the car off. Put your hands back on the dash. All right. Are there any weapons in the vehicle? Okay? All right, go ahead and you driver only remove your seat belt. You're going to step out. Okay, slowly to the truck. Do you have any other questions? Do you have any weapons on you? >> No. >> Okay, come on. Come on, man. All this for nothing. Sit on the grass. No, get out. What's your problem? >> I don't have a problem. All right. >> Put him in handcuffs. >> All I asked is why. >> We don't We're not We're NOT IN THE NOW YOU'RE GOING TO JAIL. HANG ON. HANG ON. HANG ON. HANG ON. Stop Stop resisting, man. He cannot go anywhere. >> You know how you could have prevented all this? By not running. >> I wasn't running. >> You were. >> My pants are a little bit in the off the underwear region. I'm not reaching for it at all, dude. I just want you to turn around. >> You see why we stopped you? >> I thought you tried to run. >> No, but this is the most coincidental [ __ ] >> It's not a coincidence, man. We're here for a reason. We don't do this [ __ ] for fun. Get out. >> A 17-year-old male dressed as an inmate was taken into custody after trying to run from deputies on foot. Deputies found a .45 caliber handgun concealed on him. And he was charged with resisting without violence and possession of a firearm by a minor. On December 12th, 2024, Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Michael Diego observed a green Toyota Highlander speeding northbound on Interstate 95 in St. Lucie County. The driver, later identified as Firman Shakeel, Green ignored the stop and turned a speeding violation into a two-county problem. >> 657 Got one taking off on me. Northbound at the 135 Speed is 113. Traffic's light. Nazefar 6528 Going to be Kilo Foxtrot Bravo 1568 out of North Carolina. Green Toyota. Northbound at the 136 inside center lane. >> All right, 10-4, speed's 111. Possibly getting off at Imperial now. >> What are the charges? >> 211 Signal four, signal four at 66. We're going north on 66. 1528, your traffic didn't come in. All right, somewhere around 66. I have no idea where I'm at. Diego is out. >> Fermin Shaquille Green was taken into custody after being found near dumpsters behind a business, then received medical attention before being transported to jail. He was arrested on charges including fleeing and eluding with disregard for safety, resisting an officer without violence, possession of a controlled substance, and leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage. On April 8th, 2023, Los Angeles police pursued a silver Chevrolet pickup after authorities believed an attempted murder suspect was inside the vehicle. The chase started in the San Pedro area and the situation quickly grew beyond a single damaged truck. >> And and you know, when it comes to a carjacking, that you might be willing to pull your pursuit back just a little bit, yes? I Okay, well, look Look, you might not You're going to have a bit of a delay, Bruce. Now, we've got it into oncoming traffic and he's on the rim. So, we did see some smoke earlier. We thought maybe the driver had hit a spike strip and so now that he's going the other direction, we can see that. So, this vehicle is going to be uh not controllable. There's no rubber on that front tire that we can >> And you're putting those officers at risk. >> Right. Okay. So, that is something that for for viewers who might be watching, um the the there are reports, there is the possibility that this suspect murder suspect is armed. Officers are not going to stop pursuing, as you heard from Bruce Thomas, our uh law enforcement expert, but at the same time, uh there are a lot of variables that must be considered to protect the public um and protect officers. So, now we have another uh U-turn possibly here. And again, that would be traditionally a place where you might try a PIT, but you don't want to necessarily do that if the person driving is uh a hostage, if that person has been carjacked. And Bruce, you made the another very valid point. They've run the plates, they'll know with good certainty probably, I would guess, how the suspect might be related to the driver if they are. Authorities, there he is there. You could almost see the the traffic that was ready to go. There it is. Now you can see that other wheel. That's what I was talking about, Bruce. It's really started to list and now it's actually at a 90° angle, almost a 90° angle to the direction the vehicle is wanting to go. So, that's going to become a massive issue for the vehicle to continue to go forward. It is going to start to get incredibly hot and it's that quite frankly going to be causing a lot of damage to the road as well. Now it's broken off. You saw that wheel has broken off and that's going to make it even harder to turn and it's going to make that vehicle even hotter as far as potentially starting a fire. carjacking of some sort. That's going to create a very, very scary situation for the driver. If it is an ally, Bruce, they would likely if they if they know that oh wow, now we have damage. Look at this. The vehicle is trying to force his way through and now we're under that overpass. People are going to try to get out of the way. You saw that vehicle just drive. That is an expression of the desperation, it seems. Okay, so now you've got somebody opening the door. That is a person opening the passenger side door. The vehicle is virtually disabled. No right wheel, but law enforcement right behind. So, we are now going to see what's going to happen as the person had a car door open. Somebody is backing up. Here they've bailed out and now they're on the run. They're trying to get into another vehicle and they have. There are two women running away from the vehicle. Now we have a different pursuit. The suspect, it seems, has jumped into that vehicle. Maybe had been communicating with that because that person backed up and opened the door and got in. The two women ran away. So, this now looks like some sort of accomplice in this issue. >> Yeah, they may be heading back north to get back over into that Westchester area or maybe even the area south of downtown. Um but I think LAPD is definitely weighing the opportunities to do a pit maneuver and end this pursuit. >> The we're getting word maybe they might be heading in the direction of Long Beach. Sometimes it's just it's difficult to to see, but they're on Vermont. And so now you see that person trying to move out of the way very very slow now. Very have have really gotten a lot slower here. Um the the the speed is going to be affected by the inability of anything on that back. So now we have a person getting out. This is so dangerous. The person is out. The vehicle is now not being checked. So that is So Bruce, there were two people and he was wearing a white t-shirt. That's the suspect that we saw. So he's taking off. One person is running away. This person is now on the run. That is we believe the murder suspect who initially got into uh that Mazda and he had jumped somehow into the front seat. He is running from authorities down the sidewalk. Uh they will be able to know where he is. Okay, now he's got his He's got his hands up, but still running. So let's see what ends up happening here. He is running out of gas it seems uh in this circumstance getting exhausted. He's coming up to someone's house. Now this is a potentially dangerous situation. If he can get into that house, they have two men in front who have moved out of the way. So officers are now uh trying to get the suspect to get on the ground. These two people have walked away. The suspect is looks to be in front of the garage behind those two vehicles there. They're trying to get him away from that, I would assume, Bruce, and it looks as if he is he's refusing to obey the commands. He is certainly not getting down on the ground. You can see his hands up, but he is not doing what they say at this point. You see less-than-lethal there in the man's hand in the back. It looks like or could be a green weapon there. Now, so some of the officers do have guns trained on this person, but he's not turning around, Bruce. He Should he be on the ground now or turned around? What do you think the the officers are trying to get >> Four people were eventually taken into custody after the pursuit stretched across Los Angeles and involved a second vehicle. No serious injuries were reported, and the case moved forward around the suspected attempted murder connection and the group's attempt to avoid police. On July 22nd, 2025, an Arkansas State Police Captain saw a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle splitting lanes on Interstate 40 near the 145-mile marker. The rider, later identified as David Elisha Acosta, came close to striking the rear of the patrol unit before accelerating away from the attempted stop. >> Get on the ground, sir. I got the white Harley. Stay down. >> 80 48 24 24 24 24 24 24 You can go ahead and turn around on the traffic. 24 24 I'll meet you right out front. You can take the next left and you can turn left. >> Need more fresh air. >> 458, are you going to close? Negative, I'm 12 miles out. I'm on Point Road. 4150, what's your 10-20? >> 56. >> David Alicia Acosta was later located shirtless, covered in mud, and matching the suspect seen from the patrol footage. He was arrested, evaluated at Conway Regional Medical Center, and booked on multiple charges related to fleeing, reckless driving, and other offenses, while investigators also noted no motorcycle endorsement, and no confirmed insurance coverage. On January 19th, 2026, Baltimore police officers responded to an apartment complex on Park Avenue for multiple calls, including a welfare check and a report of an armed person. Officers encountered 48-year-old Autumn Elizabeth Denny inside the building, while residents were already outside because of a pulled fire alarm. >> So, we're on 32, and it's So, it looks like he's throwing stuff. Put me out. >> Go away! Go away! No, you're not on fire! Run! >> No. >> Help! >> 60, can you advise further? I got a number two male in the hallway. He has a big knife. Um as he he's going down the staircase. Can I get another unit? >> What's your name? >> MY NAME IS GOD. >> JOHN? ALL RIGHT, JOHN, TALK TO US. >> I AM GOD. >> OKAY. All right, John, talk to us. >> What's going on today, God? What's going on? >> Okay. >> God, please drop the weapon. >> Please drop it for us. >> Please drop the weapon. More space. More space. She is facing assault and weapons charges and the involved Baltimore police officer was identified as Officer Kevin Wilson, a 3-year veteran. On September 4th, 2025, Arkansas State Police attempted to stop a black Lincoln MKZ on Interstate 55 after it was clocked at 102 mph.
