You want to try some water? >> Try drinking some water. >> Why you pushing me? Turn around. >> I did not take anything. Sir, >> they have you on video surveillance and they also have a witness that watched you take everything. Shoplifterss often believe they have the perfect plan to go undetected. But with every move captured on camera, their confidence quickly turns into the very evidence that leads them straight to jail. There are the moments when Walmart shoplifterss thought their theft was perfect. Starting with this woman, she showed no shame even after being caught stealing 15 times. >> You can go to jail tonight. Do you understand that? >> Not tonight, but tomorrow. >> I'll explain that in a sec. What's the reason for you stealing tonight? >> Nothing. I just did. I'm I'm sorry. I I don't know what to do. >> You have no reason. >> On the 28th of January, 2025. Officers were dispatched to Target's loss prevention office after receiving a report of a theft. The suspect was a woman who had taken a pair of trousers and a box of Play-Doh without paying. The [snorts] items may not have been worth much, but as the investigation continued, the situation became far more serious. >> Hi, how you doing? Hi, I'm Officer Ba with the K Police Department. You know what? Why are you in here for? Right. Okay. And what's your name? >> Kadesia. >> Kadesia. >> Kadija. You don't have an ID on you. Or do you have one? Oh, okay. What's your name? >> And then >> Okay. Did you Did you grab everything that you know? You don't need to have any suspicion of having her or anything else. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Cadia. Okay. So, right now, I'll explain to you the steps. Okay. You're not going to jail tonight and I'll explain why. Okay. You can be. Does that make sense? Sorry. >> You can go to jail tonight. Do you understand that? >> Not tonight, but tomorrow. >> I'll explain that in a second. Okay. I just got to grab my book. My book is stuck right here. >> Why, sir? Please. >> She casually challenged the officer's conclusion as if she had every right to do so. While the reason she gave stealing was completely unreasonable. >> What's the reason for you stealing tonight? >> Nothing. I just did. I'm sorry. I I don't want to do >> You have no reason? >> No, I have no reason. >> Do you have money? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. You just didn't want to pay tonight? No, I just I I I'm sorry. I'm guilty for that. >> Okay. I'm just asking a question. That's okay. Have you stolen from this Target before? >> No. >> No. Have you stolen from anywhere else? Is she saying that you have stolen? >> I don't know. She [music] saw me and I was like, I never. >> This is your first time putting her in the office? >> Yes. First time her being in the office, but she has uh 15 other incidents. >> Yeah. They they're really good here. Okay. >> Please don't don't arrest me. I have a family and you know. >> Is that them waiting for you out there? >> Yeah. Okay. Have you been arrested by the police before? >> No, never, never, never. Please leave me. I have small kids. I'm sorry. I won't come here again. Please. >> So, I'm curious. Right. Least the items here. >> Yeah. >> The uh lost profession staff here saying that they've been watching for the last 15 15 times you steal. Why do you keep doing that? Just cuz you keep getting away. >> Sorry. I'm sorry. >> No, no. I understand you're sorry. I'm asking a question. I want to see what's what you're asking. >> No reason. I have no reason. >> If I can ask you, right? So, just because you you keep getting away every time, you think it's okay then? >> No, no, no. No, this time I'm I'm just done. I'm I'm going to do it again. Please. >> It's just, you know, it's frustrating, right? It's not okay, right? And you have kids. You said >> Yes, please. >> So, you you said you have money, >> but you just didn't want to pay for it today. What did you steal today? What kind of items? I haven't looked at it yet. >> Trouser. >> Was it >> a trouser and a Play-Doh box? >> I I just forgot to pay for the Play-Doh box because the kids were walking, daughter was just going here, you know. I just >> even after being told that she had been caught stealing 15 times, her expression barely changed. She seemed to think it was no big deal, forcing the officer to emphasize just how serious her repeated thefts were. >> Kadesha. Kadisha, look, man. Look, look, ma'am. It's hard to give you a bit. You >> give me more. >> Don't cut me off. Don't cut me off when I'm talking. >> Sorry. >> I'm already being nice to you. >> Okay. I'm having a conversation like an adult with you. Okay. >> You've done this more than 15 times around 15 times. Right now, you got caught. Now you're sorry. >> No, I won't do it again. I'm sorry. >> And now you're making excuses of how you forgot to pay a for one item, right? >> I won't do it. I won't do it. I give you guarantee. I won't come here. I'm sorry. Please don't make arrest. You know, if >> is this uh is this address correct? The one that you live is that is that still correct? >> Yes. >> You you still live there? >> Okay. Are you guys confident that she got everything back from her? >> Yeah. [cough and clears throat] It was just a part. So >> So she didn't did she put anything on her person? Okay. Shortly after the store made its decision, confirming that they also considered the woman a serious problem that needed to be addressed. Okay. >> So after today, you are not allowed to come back for life. Okay. Is that right? For life. >> If you come back in a parking lot and we see you, that's arrestable. Okay. >> Okay. Got it. >> Makes sense. >> Please don't make arrest right now. >> Let's grab Let's grab what we need. >> I got the photos of this for you and and her ID pretty much. So you have video of her consuming out in the book bag. Is that correct? and then bypassing all casino >> without paying for these items and then and then y'all stop. Okay. >> I'm not from I wasn't born in the United States. Were you born in the United States? >> No. >> So is the crime much worse where you came from? >> Yes. >> Same here. It's a lot worse in where I came from. [music] >> Okay. So just because in the United States it's not as hard doesn't mean it's okay. >> That's what my frustration is cuz we're both immigrants. >> I want to have this conversation. >> In my country, you don't just go to jail for stealing. Yeah, >> you might get something else >> which is worse. Okay, I'm going to give you [music] this benefit of doubt. Do you know you know what that means? >> I'm going to believe you so you're not >> I'm going to send you a ticket in the mail. [music] >> Okay. >> Okay. A ticket means it's a court ticket. >> Okay. >> They're going to tell you, "Hey, show up on this day or call this phone number." >> Uhhuh. >> You don't contact them or you don't show up to that date, there will be an arrest warrant. [music] Do you understand what that means? That arrest warrant will be under your name for us for a really, really long time. It means that if you get talked to by any police officer in any state in the United States, it means that take her to jail because you did not go to this court date. Do you understand? >> For this incident, the officers decided to give her a chance instead of taking her to jail. Before letting her leave, they explained what she would have to do next. >> Okay. So, what is the process? You going to send a citation in the mail and then she has to appear in the court >> if she wants to. Yeah, it's up to her. So, my advice to you is she has the case number with everything. Once it comes in the mail, you can call in down to the Kent Municipal Court and just ask what your next steps are and they'll direct you accordingly. Okay. >> Okay. Can I ask you a few pieces of information? Is that okay? >> You can ask me whatever you like. >> Have you guys seen the uh videos or anything? Have you seen >> these Target is very very good. They watch you from the time you walk in and the time you walk out. There's videos everywhere. And she she's actually been recorded here in the past. She hasn't been caught yet in the past for stealing. Please feel free to >> No, I'm just asking. I'm just asking for my own So, uh, we we do have more than enough evidence to charge her with it and that's why she's being charged. All the evidence and everything we have is going to be submitted under that case number and you guys can actually submit what's called a public record request. You can call down to the city of Kent and you can just request the case number. That way they give you everything and you can see it once it's all put in there. She's not going to jail right now. She's getting a ticket. So, I mean, obviously stealing's wrong. >> So, I just one question. I haven't seen the videos or anything, right? We've been coming from 14, 13 years from here. um three four times a week and everything right I don't see any reason uh the only uh for shoplifting or anything but I was just wondering have you seen from a lens where they are with the baby they put it casually >> sir you're more than welcome to you can ask her as well like I said what happened I mean are I'm sorry are y'all married >> oh yeah she's my sister >> Oh your sister yeah if you ask your sister she she could probably tell you what her her version of events are I can't speak for her we did we did speak with her though and everything will be and everything will be in the investigation and you can you can request My only thing, have you seen it from the lens that is? >> In the end, the woman was charged with theft. [snorts] Repeated theft can quickly turn a seemingly minor incident into a serious legal problem. Being given a second chance does not erase the consequences or the responsibility to appear in court. Next, this pair did not stop at shoplifting. >> Take everything out of your pockets and put it on the selfch checkckout. >> It's not a pipe. It is though it is. >> I didn't walk around the crack. >> On the 28th of June 2026, police approached two women at a CVS after they were suspected of concealing merchandise in her purse and pockets. However, one of them seemed to have already prepared an excuse for herself when the officers showed up. >> What's going on? >> How you doing? >> All the things that you're in your jacket, you're going to pay for, right? >> Yeah. Yeah. I I wanted all this. I'm going to put this in my pocket and everything, too. >> Okay. Mhm. >> Yeah. Let's go put that stuff up at selfch checkckout >> right now. >> Yep. >> Wait for my friend to come back with credit cards though. >> Yeah. >> It'll probably be like 20 minutes. >> Nope. It's not going to be 20 minutes. It's going to be either be a couple minutes or you're going to be locked up for shoplifting. >> No, I He's literally coming back with the with the credit card. >> That's not going to work out for you. So, you're going to either take everything out of your pockets and put it up here on >> Oh, no. I understand. I am going to pay for it. I mean, he'll be with the credit card in 20 minutes. So, I want to pay for it. >> Yeah, we're not going to do that. Put everything up on the selfch checkout. Where's Christina? >> Christina, can you go in? >> The second suspect was believed to have fled outside, seemingly trying to avoid the situation. Even when confronted about it, she continued to deny any involvement and shifted all the blame onto the other woman. >> Hey, come here. What are we doing? >> I'm waiting for my ride. I have my own stuff in there. >> Uh-huh. You don't So, you guys not deal with the girls that are in there right now stealing anything? >> No, no, no, no. I swear to God, come in because they wait. They know. Come in. Please, please go. >> We're going to wait and stay. That's fine. We're going to walk over here and we're going to wait for me. I have nothing to do with that. Please. They know that I'm waiting for my ride. I was waiting for my friend to go back to my [snorts] >> Oh, just stay right here. Stay right here. I'm going to go in there. I will go in with you, please. >> I'm not going in yet, though. >> No, I know. But no, please. >> You can walk in. I'm not walking in with you right now. >> Is this girl? Do you know this girl? Do you have anything to do with this behind you? >> Uh, Miranda. She's going to be doing the exact same thing. Take everything out of your pocket. >> No, I wasn't involved in this. This wasn't me. She'll tell you. I'm not doing this. >> I know. >> Do with this. >> Follow her around. Watch. >> What the hell I was doing? >> All right. What's Come here. >> No, cuz I didn't do anything. You're not thinking about this. Please. I didn't do anything. >> You You can walk away all you want and then I can just charge you with obstruction. So, go ahead. Walk. Walk away. cuz I'm trying to have a conversation. You were We got two females, right? >> She just told you had nothing to do with me >> again. I got called for two females. One, >> two. >> But she just told you. >> Whether she said that or not, I still have to do an investigation. >> So, you're going to run me and I didn't do anything. >> I didn't say I was running you, but obviously now that there's a reason why you don't want me to run you. >> Now you're raising my suspicion. >> That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying I didn't do anything. >> Her urgency only made her appear more nervous, which further raised suspicion. The officer tried to return to the incident, but [snorts] she continued doing the same thing. >> I wasn't with her. That's all I'm saying. Can you please walk with me? >> Walk with you where? >> Just talk to me. Like, you're being an [ __ ] I'm not even >> I'm not being an [ __ ] You tried to run into the store >> to to go get her. >> Okay. Again, all I ask you is for your name and you're >> Okay, there's no problem. But I was not with her. >> Okay, fine. What is your name? >> Christine. >> Christine, spell it. >> C H R I S T I N E. >> What's your last name, Christine? >> Pickman. H I C M A N. >> What's your birthday? >> June 3rd, >> 1991. Sorry about that. It has nothing to do with me though. Thank you. >> Shortly after, the officer approached the employees to hear their side of the story. [snorts] Clearly, their account was completely different. Doing [ __ ] too. >> This one right here. >> Um, she came in here like an hour ago. She just been throwing cosmetics [music] in her car. She has a friend with her, the one the jacket. >> Yeah. >> I looked on the cameras and she was just cosmetic section grabbing cosmetics and like putting them on her purse. >> But she didn't walk out with them or nothing. She walked out and like she was like eating stuff out there that she probably got from in here. The rappers were on the floor out there. But um as far as the cosmetics, I didn't see her walk out with them, but I saw her put them in her jacket. So, >> and I was up at the register when they was walking out, so I didn't really have a chance to at least on the cameras. >> Yeah. Can you go? That's fine. Go pull it up and see if you can find >> She's going to be doing the exact same thing you're doing. Take everything out of your pockets and put it on yourself. Check out This was okay. She found you. I know this. >> This is another right here. >> These were in my >> You want to follow her around and watch her dump all the stuff out of her pockets? >> These were in my pocket glove. >> Take everything out of your pockets and put it on the selfch checkckout. If I have to tell you again, we're not going to have any more discussion. >> I am. >> Welcome. If you have your extra care card, please scan it now. >> Out of your pocket. >> Pausing the theft investigation, the officer suddenly noticed a suspicious item on the other woman. Her panic only intensified, suggesting that this might have been the very thing she had been trying to hide from the beginning. >> Thank you. >> So, what's that pipe out of your pocket? >> Items from the back. >> Oh, it's not? No, >> it's not a crack pipe. >> No, it's not. >> No. >> Okay, cool. Put your hands back. >> It's not a pipe. >> It is, though. >> I walk around the crack in my pocket. >> I did it. I did it. I didn't. Please. >> It's in your pipe. >> It's not a pipe. >> Why are you lying? Right. >> It's not. Come down. I'll show you. It's not a pipe. >> You don't need to show me. Come here. Come. We're not going outside. >> I'm not You're not walking anywhere. >> Please. I'll show you. >> We're not walking anywhere. >> I'll show you. >> You don't have You're going to show me that. >> This is crazy. I didn't do anything wrong. >> You're showing me that this isn't a crack. That's your You're That's your story. >> No, they didn't do anything wrong. >> Tell That's your story? >> No, this is not a This isn't a crack. >> No, please. They didn't do anything wrong. >> Either lock her up or don't. >> Turn around. >> Really is going to come here items. Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> Why? >> Because I said so. >> Why? I didn't do >> You're under arrest for shoplifting. Turn around and put your hands behind your back. >> You're coming up with every excuse. >> I am pregnant. I was pregnant. >> Now she's pregnant. >> I know. >> Well, I'm walking around with something. You understand that, correct? >> So, so don't think you didn't do anything. >> The first woman was investigated for shoplifting after being caught concealing merchandise in her purse and pockets. The second woman denied any involvement in the theft, but was ultimately arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Both women showed that denying involvement and shifting the blame to someone else could not erase what the officers and employees had observed. One faced a theft investigation while the other ended up in trouble because of the suspicious item found on her. Next, this shoplifter brazantly snatched the merchandise right in front of the employee. That wasn't me. Why are you pushing me? >> On the 17th of October 2025, police received a report about a theft that had taken place. The suspect was believed to be a man who entered Target and went straight to the electronics counter as if he knew exactly what he was looking for. And he did. He asked to see a new iPad and as soon as the employee brought it out, he suddenly snatched it and ran toward the parking lot. Fortunately, an officer was already there and quickly chased after him. This is what happened next. Double. Someone come through here. >> Hey, that wasn't me. >> He trespassed into the kitchen of a store just to escape. At that point, he became uncooperative, causing chaos to break out. >> Why you pushing me? >> Turn around. Did you get help with Did you get hit with the taser? >> No. >> Huh? >> You hear me? >> I'm not resisting. >> Move. Lean your lean forward. >> I'm not resisting. I don't know. It hurts. >> I'm not resisting, [ __ ] >> Did you throw anything in here? >> No. >> Did you drop anything? >> No. Get up. Why are you pushing? >> Why are you pissing? >> Where's the bag at? That was a bad That's my That was my hoodie. That was my hoodie. >> Huh? >> Yeah. Let me see it. >> That's my hoodie with the iPad in it. Bro, I'm not lying to you. Walk, man. I'm walking. You're holding me, dude. That's why I was asking. Did he drop anything in there? >> I said my jacket that I could have my pants. >> He seemed more concerned about his hoodie, something he clearly did not show when he stole someone else's property. He showed no remorse either, repeatedly delaying the process of being escorted away and forcing [music] the officers to remind him. >> I'm not running, bro. >> You're not going to run cuz I caught you. >> Exactly. Exactly. >> So why are you trying to push me? >> Cuz you're walking super slow. >> Cuz I was running from you. >> Exactly. You're out of shape and you're younger than me by like been there 20 something years. >> Okay. You have a different life, bro. >> Yeah. >> You know that you feeling Put your feet in. >> Hey, did I connect with you on that on the taser? Did it hit you? >> It just hit the [ __ ] iPad on me. >> Huh? >> It hit on my >> It hit the iPad instead of you >> in the back. I only felt the little spark. >> Huh? >> I only felt the little spark on the left. On the left, right? But it didn't hurt me. It didn't hurt. >> It hit you where? in the back where the iPad was in this arm and you shot the iPad. >> So, I didn't touch your skin, any piercing skin? >> No. >> You sure? >> I promise. >> Even when asked why he stubbornly ran away, he refused to give a proper answer as if he had no intention of taking responsibility for his actions. >> Why didn't you stop? Why you took off when I got by the bus stop? >> My instinct, bro. >> Instant because you stole the iPad. You snatched it and ran. >> Dude, I caught you in my boots. I know that [ __ ] from school. >> I caught you in my boots, man. >> I don't [ __ ] with >> You heard me. >> You're ready. What's your first name? >> Spell it. >> B A D as in J. >> As in what? D. >> As in J. Yes. >> Okay. >> R A E N. B A B A D. Let me know the amount, please. >> Hold on. >> E N. See, that's why I asked you to take the time. >> I'm sorry. >> If you give me Hey, listen to what I'm saying. >> Listen to what I'm saying. >> If you give me If you Stop stop talking. Let me talk first and I'll let you talk. >> If you give me a fake name, it's going to be another charge. >> It's I'm not >> Okay. I'm just letting you know. >> That's my real name, fam. B A D E N. >> G A D >> E N. >> E N. Okay. You have a middle name. >> It just starts with G. >> Spell it. >> I don't know. It's just G. >> You don't know your middle name? >> They just call me G. >> Who? Your mom called you G? >> Yes. >> Your mom and dad call you G. But you don't know your middle name? >> No. G. >> What's your date of birth? >> 2005. >> Five. >> 2005. >> With my eyes off you. >> The 20-year-old man was arrested and taken to jail on a $750 bond. Facing two charges: felony grand theft and misdemeanor resisting an officer without violence. [music] The felony theft charge was later dropped by prosecutors. This case shows how running from the consequences can turn a simple theft into additional legal trouble. Taking responsibility and cooperating with officers would have been a far better choice than resisting and trying to escape. Next, this woman tried to act like she still had dignity, but lost it all. >> I have an honest job, sir. I do not have to steal anything. >> Did you kill steal anything in your purse? >> No, I did not. >> I'm sorry. No, you stay too far, bro. On the 6th of November 2025, deputies were dispatched to the parking lot of a Dick Sporting Goods after receiving a report of a woman who had allegedly taken unpaid merchandise from the store and was sitting inside a vehicle. This is what happened when deputies approached the vehicle. >> No, I couldn't. >> I think that's behind the passenger seat. Yep. >> Get out the car. Get out the car. Out of the car. I'm going to get here. >> Hands up. Face away from me. >> Okay. They tried to say I was trying. >> Hands up. >> Hands up. >> We'll figure that out. Hey, you got cover. I got contact. >> Go ahead, >> ma'am. Come over to me. >> Yes, sir. >> Face that way, ma'am. >> Hands up. Hands up. Come stepping back. Keep stepping back. Keep stepping back. Side step to your left. Side step to your left. Stop right there. Okay. >> Hey, put your hands back up. I'm sorry. >> Yes, sir. They tried to say that I was trying to steal or something like >> Yeah, man. Back. You got your other pill? >> All right. Well, right now you're being detained till we figure out what's going on. All right. >> Yes, sir. >> Is there anybody else in the car with you? >> No, sir. Not at all. One >> out four. You can clear. We got one detained. Everything stem four and it's just me and two. Whose car is this? >> Afterward, her family members arrived. Based on the explanations she gave, it appeared that they had no idea about the woman's actions. >> Whose car is this? >> What happened? Deep tried to say that I was trying to steal >> right here. Stop. Uh, well, the car the car is going to be shut down for now. >> Why? What happened? >> So, we got two options. I get a search warrant for it or you guys going to be sent for me to search the car for property that should possibly be taken from Big Sporting B. Go ahead and sit in there, ma'am. Go ahead and sit in there. Ma'am, take a seat. >> I did not steal anything from Dick Sporting Goods. >> Take a seat. >> She did what? >> She stole from Dick Sporting Goods. >> What? >> I'm going to randomize her real quick. Just give us a second. All right. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Sir, I did not take anything from there. >> You guys have an ID on you? I think right there. >> Oh, that's in there. >> I did not take anything from there. >> Sit down. I got to read you something. I'm required to you before. >> She ain't got nothing to do with this [ __ ] >> Do you have You understand right? Yes, sir. >> All right. With those rights in mind, you want to speak to me? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Did you take anything from inside there? >> No. I swear to God, I did not, sir. Soon as I walked in, I had looked at this um Christmas ball bag. And ever since then, I don't know, but you I already know how these people be it dicks. So they of course they're going to look at me that type of way. >> Contrary to her repeated denials, the deputies searched the vehicle and discovered multiple items of merchandise belonging to the store. I came in there with that [ __ ] stuff. They act like that that's the only dick. I had that stuff already. What the queto qu I did not take any thing Bro, could you record for a I got everything I need. I got all the clothes >> you got out of here. >> Does she describe? >> Yeah. Get that out of here, son. I don't even >> She continued to deny everything, trying to explain each detail one by one. However, it was clear that she had nothing to support her claims when the deputy questioned her about the merchandise. >> It's at my house. >> That This is at your house. >> Yes. the receipt for all this? >> Yes. I was not trying to do any returns or anything like that, sir. >> Okay. >> I swear to God, I do not have no reason to lie. >> So, you don't have a receipt for that? >> I do have a receipt for that. I never said that. I did not. Not on me because I did not come to return. I wanted to match. >> So, So, why did you have the items concealed in the back seat between the seats? >> Because that's where I had it at. >> Oh, that's where you have it at. Okay. >> That's where I had it at. I have no reason to to lie, sir. >> Okay. >> Why would I? I'm just trying to figure this all out. Like, they need to run them cameras back and show me cuz I swear to God I did not steal anything, sir. I swear to God I DID. I'M ALREADY OUT ON BOND, SIR. I would not do this. This is stupid. >> I think you got a warrant, too. So, >> where? >> I'll let you know in a second. >> It's in North Carolina. >> Yeah, you got North Carolina warrant for instate pickup. All right. Yes, I know that, sir. >> You ever been convicted down here? >> Yes, I have. >> Okay. >> I'm sick of this, bro. I swear to God, dog. >> Sick of this now. Every [ __ ] time. [screaming] [laughter] I'm telling you now. >> The suspect genuinely believed she was being wronged and tried to portray herself as the victim. However, her story became even less convincing as contradictions began to emerge in her explanations about the stolen merchandise. >> One, two, three. >> This one? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. And this and this one price or separate prices? >> Is separate prices. >> Okay. There's no tag on this one. Can you get me the price, please? >> Y. >> My little nephew don't be having clothes and stuff like that. I wanted to try to match his shoes with his outfit. That's a colorful outfit. >> And you brought that with you in the purse? Yes, sir. I did. I had took it out when I had got to the register on this far left end. Sir, >> you took what out? The items. >> Yeah. No, I took that outfit, that specific outfit out. So, I can ask the lady, "Do they have a um like the shoes and stuff? And is this the right size?" Because in there it says like um they got Crocs and stuff like that. I wanted to just get him some colorful Crocs. Kids shirt. >> Kids t-shirt. Kids t-shirt. Kids t-shirt. >> 30 30 30 33 kids t-shirt. One p sweatpants and one sweater. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> We was out there over there eating at Big John's. That's the only reason why I came in this plaza. I had also went to the GNC. If anything, why didn't I steal all over, sir? Like, that's just ridiculous. >> Shortly afterward, the store representative gave an account that directly contradicted her denials, providing a very different version of what had happened inside the store. >> Um, as she was entering, I was walking up the main aisle. Um, I saw her putting on her face mask. I walked up to her, asked her, "Hey, did you need any help with anything?" As she stopped at the um ball bag fixture, we were talking. And she's like, "Oh, these are so cute for the holiday." I'm like, "Yeah." I was like, "Yeah, they're really cute. New holiday stuff. You know, t the season. >> Can you get a s for me?" >> Why is that? >> Can I talk to the sergeant? >> Sergeant's not going to do anything on the rest. >> Um, she then proceeded to the youth section where she grabbed the three shirts off of the table. >> What shirts? >> Um, kids youth Nike shirts. >> The lies did not come easily. As the questioning continued, the pressure of maintaining a false story became harder to bear, and eventually the woman could no longer keep denying what had happened and admitted to her actions. >> I will admit that I did take um the two Nike black shirt. I just don't know what I should do. >> Do what? >> Life. >> First of all, stop taking stuff and not paying for it. You have a good job, so I don't understand why you feel the need that you have to take stuff, >> sir. >> Yep. >> Can I please ask for a citation or something? I won't ever come to this area again. >> You already got You're already out on bond. >> Sorry. What the [ __ ] You going to mess me up. >> You You could have just been honest with me when I asked you, but you wouldn't lie to me because >> I gave you the opportunity to be honest. I was scared, sir. >> Honesty goes a long way, >> right? But I was scared, sir. >> Why you saying this is going to mess you up for? >> BECAUSE I'M ALREADY OUT [screaming] OF BODY AND I DON'T WANT TO BE ARRESTED, SIR, like nobody do. >> They just going to put you on probation. >> No, I just don't want nothing, you know. I want to apologize to everybody, dog. >> You don't have the opportunity to do that, >> sir. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You don't have to apologize to me. >> I'm sorry. No, I just stay too far, bro. I should not. Please give me a second chance, sir. >> Correct me if I'm wrong. They gave you a second chance when they put you out on bone, right? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. And what was the stipulations when you got out on bone that you weren't going to do this again? Right. >> I didn't go on bond for this. >> So, obviously, if you didn't type of charges, I can't get no charges. If you didn't learn the first time when they gave you bond. >> I did learn, daddy. >> So maybe this second time, you're going to learn. There's a lot of things in this world that people can't afford, but they don't go stealing it. >> I just want a second chance, please. >> Jasmine Hill, 33, was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail for theft with one prior conviction. She later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 180 days in jail. Lies and denial will not erase the consequences of theft. When surveillance footage, witness statements, and recovered merchandise tell a different story, taking responsibility is the only way to face the consequences of your actions. Next, the woman still had to shed those belated tears. >> Have you ever had one? >> Have you ever had one? >> Can you ask her if she ever had one? They were asking for that. >> You ever had one? >> Got to put them behind your back. On the 12th of July 2025, officers received a report from Target regarding a theft that had occurred at the store. The suspect was reportedly a woman who had taken merchandise worth $20.3. At that point, she was being detained in the loss prevention office while the investigation was underway. >> My body worn camera's on everyone. Hello. >> So, unfortunately, due to the dollar amount, we did have to contact the domestic police department. So, >> how much was it? Um the total is $22.30. Um this is a mix of like stationary items, electronics, some apparel, and some like market like some food items. >> So you admitting um everything you tried to take today was $22 your signature on the first line and today's date. >> All right. What happened between the beginning and the end? Okay. So, uh, basically while I was walking through, I passed by and I observed um her concealing submersion that she seal like this thing and I started putting this inside a bag. So, I read that here. I review footage. I saw her selecting it um so I can conceal it. And then she went over to Starbucks where she opened up a couple electronics items and cables as well. Yeah. So then when she went to exit um I find security over here approached her identified and brought her back here and then um saw the rest of the items. >> I'll go off to that guy. >> You good? >> With the accusations coming from the store, the woman could do little to defend herself. She simply sat there unable to refute the evidence and began shedding belated tears of regret. Hey Justin. So I got the custo which I asked for. I got to wait till 7. >> I'm going to get arrested. I'm going to go to jail. I'm so sorry. I don't want to go to jail. Tuesday. I made it to my cafe. Sorry. [crying] [laughter] >> Hi, this is Park 280. The radio signal is pretty bad at Target. I can't talk to you in here. So, the the warrant out of Texas is uh descriptive one [clears throat] more time. I don't I don't I caught part of it, but I don't think it just to verify. And do you have a driver's license or ID? [laughter] >> She said no, I don't. >> Have you ever had one? >> Have you ever had one? Can you ask her if she ever had one? They were asking [laughter] for that. >> Also, uh, can you send FD? She's like, um, hyper venolating and stuff. [laughter] Make sure she's all right. >> Yeah, we're in the security office at Target. All right. Thank you. >> I'm so I'm so happy. >> Her crying caused the investigation to be delayed as her [music] emotional state became increasingly unstable. Officers tried to calm her down and medical [music] personnel were eventually called to the scene. >> Try drinking some water. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. >> Um, we have a young lady we have in custody for retail theft and she's uh hyper hyperventilating and standing out. We just want to make sure she's all right. >> How's it going? Okay. Slowly breathing. Slowly breathing down. Okay. >> I know you're sorry, but just calm down. Okay. We need you to stay calm >> right now. Does it hurt to breathe? >> No. Do you have asthma? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> I have shortness of breath. I'm saying that. >> Whether deploying so many personnel and resources just to deal with this woman was the right thing to do remained a question. While the police also determined that the situation had only stemmed from a minor theft. >> Uh uh huh. I I'm standing next to Park. I said I heard that we got it. So I figured I had to call you and let you know next time you you inquire and check with the paper call first. All right. We got it. >> No man, it's a little simple retail theft. They they should have had this ho since like 5:30 and here we 7:30. 2 hours on a small retail theft. They had nobody this whole time. That's wild. Then we waiting on the female search. I know Bland was here cuz I saw her get off on time. So I mean like No, you could have just came and knocked that little part of this out. You know what I'm saying? This could have been moved along. Exactly. Like even if you I mean in 71 is a 7:00 high. Even if this was in like a six area, you know what I'm saying? Send a 7:00 car. So 5:30, you ain't had nobody that was a 6:00 or a 7:00 car come over here. And then she hyperventilating, doing a whole bunch of other stuff. So it's like here we we on the clock. You know what I'm saying? Could possibly be a medical issue now. Two hours >> 6:00. I understand. But 7:00 think she >> No, she like 20. Uh I think Park said possibly out of Texas. She said she ain't never been there before. She uh seemed a little delayed, so I don't know. All right. Thanks for checking with the paper cut next time. All right. >> We got it. Smith already knew that was coming. >> Huh? >> I said Smith should already known that was coming. Miss me. >> At this point, when the woman had become calmer, the officers also informed her of their decision and proceeded with the next steps. You never been to Texas? >> Fair enough. Maybe just some to >> the precinct. Gentlemen, are you taking her to the precinct? >> Yeah, we're going to go down to the uh department real quick, >> do some paperwork, fingerprint, and then uh you'll be out of there. >> Okay. They're just going to do some paperwork. You're not going to be held overnight. Just uh you're going to have to sit while they do some paperwork for a little bit and then you'll be you'll be released from there. Okay. >> You'll just be given a court date. Okay. Go ahead and stand up. If it's time for me, please hand a stick around. Got to put them behind your back. All right. Walk with me, please. We'll head out. We'll get all your stuff. I'm so sorry. I'll never again go ahead and have a seat. pretty sure. Okay. All right. I'll be right over there. In the end, she was ultimately charged with retail theft and obstructing identification. A minor theft can quickly become more serious when a suspect's actions complicate the investigation. Staying calm and cooperating with officers is far better than creating additional problems. Next, this woman showed no shame or remorse for what she had done at her workplace until she was put in handcuffs. >> You just seemed kind of like nonchalant about it. I would be very upset if I was in your position >> because you >> It's going to be in the front. >> Really? You're going to embarrass me in front of all of >> I'm not I'm not going to embarrass you. >> Okay. On the 4th of April 2024, police were called to a Home Depot after a female cashier employee was discovered using her cashier ID to facilitate a customer taking merchandise without paying. Upon arriving at the scene, her co-workers also provided further details about the incident. >> What's been going on at least in September? Okay. >> We didn't know until >> um so she was we have a thing where you can like let's say you scan something twice, you can remove one thing, >> right? >> Um that's how she got caught. Okay. because she scanned something twice, removed it, same customer every single time. Um, and then at that point, she passed two plants. Um, but since then, she's passed $5,700 worth of stuff in September. >> Okay. >> Um, to the same customer. Uh, she claims she doesn't know that customer. She claims she does that. She agrees that it happened because I did my homework, but she doesn't remember any of them. >> Okay. So, uh, the interesting thing is the other associate that she passed merchandise to works for that customer. Okay. Part time. >> So, but she claim she didn't know that either. [laughter] >> She was telling me that um, whoever this customer is, corporate's going to be, >> well, we'll go after her as well. Yeah. >> Right. >> Uh, she actually owns an animal hospital fairly close to here. I'm assuming that's where all >> is an animal hospital. But >> um >> so that's what we've been taking is >> flooring paint and then it's uh the most recent one March 9th was a DeWalt table saw >> and some tile. So she's obviously renovating something. I don't know if it's I didn't go to the clinic. I don't know if it's a clinic or a house or I have no idea. It was difficult to determine the motive behind the woman's actions as it appeared that she did not even need the money. The man also confirmed that she was working multiple paid jobs. >> Uh she also apparently works for something with the school board part time, so she may she's making great choices. But >> our teacher is teaching my kids. Don't [laughter] know you're Hey there. Lena, right? >> Yes. >> Hey, I'm officer Branch of the Palm Bay Police Department. You know why I'm talking to you? >> Excuse me? >> Do you know why I'm speaking with you today? >> No. >> Okay. So, um [snorts] I know that you were just terminated from Home Depot. They ended up calling us uh in regard to what has been going on. >> Okay. you. Um, and [clears throat] basically I would just like to to ask you if you'd like to speak with us. >> Okay. Okay. So, basically they would like to pursue charges um on this. So, I'm just going to read you a Miranda warning. >> Okay. >> Okay. If you want to get more comfortable and set your stuff down, you absolutely can. Um, but I'll just read you a Miranda warning and then we can go from there. Okay. >> You can read them. >> All right. just that I have my diabetic um monitor on my phone and >> totally totally understand and and I just mean um what time is it cuz my >> uh right now it's about 12:24. >> Oh, I'm okay. >> She remained completely calm in the face of the theft allegations against her. In fact, the value of the stolen merchandise was far from insignificant. So, in regard in regard to this, I mean, is reportedly about $5,700. >> That's what they're saying. >> Okay. Well, tell me tell me your son. >> I can't recall. They're named. He named some person random person that I have no knowledge of and he says that it was ongoing and it was only that particular festival, never anyone else. >> Okay. before um I keep asking you some questions. Do you mind getting your driver's license out >> as far as you know the things that you're saying you don't call? Did they explain to you? Did they explain to you the the method that you were using to attain certain things? >> Yeah, but they're only showing me one customer. I mean, they pertaining to one particular person that I've been supposedly be doing this with, but I have no recollection of who they are. >> Okay. What was the method that they were saying that you were using? [snorts] >> Um, scanning three items and not the rest. Um, letting things walk out the door. I >> Okay. >> I don't have that practice with anybody. So, >> they don't have >> practice with anybody else supposedly. out of all the thousands of scans that I've done, >> right? >> It's just just one particular person and I don't recollect that person. >> She denied knowing the people she allegedly allowed to take merchandise for free, as if suggesting that she was simply giving items away out of kindness to random people. She even continued making clever statements about her jobs. >> How long have you been employed with? >> Five years. >> Five years. >> Mhm. Have you been in trouble for anything like this before? >> No, I've worked for a doctor for 15 years and he retired recently back in 2019. >> You work for who again? >> A doctor. I was working for a doctor. He was an eye surgeon. He retired and I came to work here. >> So 5 years. How long have you lived in Palm Bay? >> Uh about 20. >> Yeah. Do you have any any friends that are currently doing a remodeling? >> No. And my house doesn't need Well, my house needs remodeling, but I haven't uh started any procedure on that yet. >> So, why do you believe that they are saying that you're doing this? >> I have no idea. If I were to give you a name of someone who supposedly has all of these items, would you tell me if >> I know them? >> Mhm. >> Sure. >> What's the name of the person? >> No, I don't know what everybody. That's the name he gave me in there as well. I don't know. Never. I have no association with her. I've ever met her. [snorts] Don't know even what she looks like because he didn't show me any of the photos. It just seems a little weird that they, you know, they call us, they go through the process of >> That's fine. It's It's what they got to do. I mean, I'm not. >> You just seem kind of like nonchalant about it. I would be very upset if I was in your position. >> I'm not because you It's like, you know, I'm I I only work here part time and, you know, I've done the best. Um, my my attendance is spectacular. I'm always here and they call me, I work, you know. self. >> There was not even a hint of shame from her. She did not seem to think she had done anything wrong, but that changed when the officers decided to handcuff her. She was worried about being embarrassed in front of her former co-workers. >> Can we do it outside? >> Alongside you. >> I know you've been super respectful, but this is just our policy. Okay. So, I'm going to cut you. It's going to be in the front. >> Really? You're going to embarrass me in front of all of my >> I'm not I'm not going to embarrass you. >> Okay. >> Um I'm just So, you want to do it in the front? I'm just feeling I have to I have to do this. Okay. Thank you. So, okay. 268. Can you show one thing? >> Make sure my keys are handled. >> The woman was charged with one felony count of grand theft between $5,000 and $10,000 and booked into jail on a $2,500 bond. Theft in the workplace can lead to serious consequences even when the person shows no shame or remorse. In the end, her calm attitude could not change the evidence against her. Next, this woman shamelessly tried every possible way to beg for leniency, unaware that it only made her seem more experienced in her wrongdoing. >> You are detained right now. Friending investigation for shoplifting, right? >> Can I just go back and pay for this stuff? >> No. So, we're going to go to the office right now. But >> I just I'm very low income. I'm a single mom. I think >> On the 28th of July 2025, police received a report from Walmart after staff caught a woman on surveillance deliberately skipped scanning multiple items. When officers arrived, they immediately stopped the suspect just after she had passed the final point of sale, leaving her visibly shaken. Might as well just leave the car right here and then walk with me cuz we got you on camera right now. skip things. So right now I'm officer there Losers Police Department. You are detained right now. Pending investigation for shoplifting, right? >> Can I just go back and pay for this stuff? >> No. So we're going to go to the office right now, but I'm letting you know that I will watch you on camera. So I'm telling you right now, you are detained at this time >> because I didn't ring up or anything. >> Yeah. And I'm not going to put you in handcuffs. As long as you promise that if you do anything other than cooperate, I will use force upon you. Okay. >> Can I choose to pay for this? >> No. We're past that cuz you already left all points of sale. So let's go ahead and walk over here. Now, I'm telling you right now, unless you I want you to listen right now. I'm escorting you over here. You can talk to them in there. I got you. But I'm telling you right now, anything other than cooperation, I will use force upon you. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, let's walk this way. I got you. I'm just letting you know, ma'am. I'm just advising you now. That's a warning. >> Yeah. No. >> From the woman's reaction, she silently admitted to the theft. Shortly afterward, inside the loss prevention office, she revealed the reason behind her actions. So, right now, like I said, we got you on camera. Uh, folding clothes with not and not scanning all items. Also, the sunglasses that are in your purse. >> Okay. >> All right. Is there any other items that you have on you that you attempted to take from the store? >> No. No, sir. >> It's just what we saw? >> Yes, sir. >> All right. >> Can I see the Are you the management or >> I work for you? >> Oh, okay. Well, >> okay. And I need your bag right now to make sure that there's no other items in there that you consume. >> No, just my personal items. I have a bunch of hair clips cuz I break them all the time. And >> if you could take it off for me, please. >> My tones. >> Yeah. >> Are you going to give me a refund for what you pay for since mostly everything is? >> Okay. And you're going to be charged. >> And what is going to happen today? Like am I going to get a citation and have to go to court for it? Um I have a special needs daughter at home, my daughter-in-law that I need to take care of. I'm very sorry for that, ma'am, but you decided to steal, so you'll be going to jail. >> No, no, I understand. >> So, today you will be going to jail. >> Are you serious? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. >> It's a restable offense. So, what's the reason for you trying to take the items? You have money to purchase it? >> I just I'm very low income. I'm a single mom raising I have my my two daughters, one is special needs and and very sick right now. I just >> Did she put other tags on some of them? >> Huh? >> You said she replaced some of the tags. >> The yellowies that I'm taking off are the ones that she was putting on. >> Okay. Just so I could have that for my report. >> Just I mean I'm just very low income and just I don't know. I've never done this before. >> What did you think of her reason for stealing? Could you accept it? Whatever the answer, her crime could not be excused. [music] The officer then explained the consequences she was about to face. >> I don't. Also, Walmart Walmart would like you to be trespassed from all of them. So, you are never welcomed at any Walmart in the city of Los Crucius. >> You understand? >> Yes. >> If you do come back to any Walmart, you will be arrested for trespassing. >> All right. >> Yeah. >> Like, can I call my son? >> Uh, right now, no, ma'am. >> Okay. >> I'm supposed to go take my daughter to school, too. Today's her first day, and she's going to eat. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> There's no way at all that anybody would be willing to give me a chance to not be actually arrested and go to court and deal with all of this. I mean, >> no, ma'am. We have a zero tolerance right now. >> I understand that. I I do. I understand that. I just My daughters really need me and I've never done anything like this before in my life. You can look, my record is completely clean of everything. I just made a bad choice today. >> She appeared remorseful, but not a single tear fell, making it seem as though she was putting on an act, even the officer began to notice it. >> So, to let you know, >> yes, >> I've been doing this for a little while and watching you on camera and how calm you were. >> No show signs. >> Trust me, I wasn't calm. Well, >> like I said, I've been I've been observing people for the last 15 years, and when they're about to commit a crime or committing a crime, usually there's signs that they're showing that they're nervous or they're just different than everybody else. You show signs of no nervousness, >> no anything, no care at all while you're walking around. So, like you saying that this is the first time, I don't believe you. And I'm I'm straight up with people. >> I'm sorry. Um, I'm going to tell you right now to lie. >> I'm You have a lot right now cuz you're going to jail. >> I'm I'm being totally cooperative, totally honest about everything. >> Well, I'm just letting you know. >> Yeah. No. No. No. >> So, we're going to find out the total right now of what the items you attempted to deprive of Walmart and then we'll go from there. >> Um, but this is your official criminal trespass card instruction. So, like I said, you're no longer allowed on any Walmart property. That's the parking lots. >> Stores, don't come back. All right. As of right now, this is forever, >> but maybe in a couple years or a year, you could call back management and let them know and see if they decide to take this away. >> What did you think of the officer's reasoning? If you have an opinion, don't forget to leave it in the comments below. But the woman showed no sign of stopping her attempt to gain sympathy. She even called her family while maintaining the same attitude. >> Hey GJ. Um, something really bad. Um, I got caught stealing stuff at Walmart on Valley and so they are arresting and I probably won't get out tomorrow and I I don't know why I do it today. You know, I don't do this stuff. I just, you know, things have been really tight right now and I just I don't know yet. But he says that it's a zero tolerance of clothes. The face wipe the face wipes, you know, use a penal face. I'm worried about Britney because you know to get her in sooner to the doctor, but I don't know what to do. He said probably till tomorrow because I judge and I, you know, I tried talking to them to see if they, you know, just give me I don't know how it works. Look at this thing. They think that I, you know, a pro at doing this because he says I wasn't nervous at all. Of course I was nervous. How do you tell? I mean, different people show how they're nervous. Different people. I never done this before. Otherwise, if I was a pro, I wouldn't have got caught. Am I right? Like, you know, I'm in the office with them. Um, the truck is parked out front. I don't know. I don't know the rules of the law on that, >> but I don't know. Oh, there's no way it was more than $300. There's no way. >> It's probably not not even $100. Like, >> she insisted that she hadn't stolen as much as $100, as if trying to preserve what little dignity she had left in front of her family. Shortly afterward, the officer confirmed the total value of the merchandise she had attempted to steal. >> So, this was the old one versus 20, and then it came out to 132. >> Yeah. And this one should be 14, too. Okay. >> That stuff was already on screen. So sure it's that much. >> Yeah. Everything's priced out. So So at least $118 worth of items. You try it. >> All right. >> So um what are you going to want to put in your bag? >> My wallet, my phone, my necklace. >> All right. You want come right here and do that? >> We're going to have to take off my earrings also or >> Yeah, cuz they're not they're going to put them in your property. They're going to let you keep them now. I just didn't know. >> Was the items that were on the receipt the >> correct one? >> So the ones that she paid for were the switched ones? >> Yeah, cuz I got the one for >> Except for the water. >> Except for the water. >> I didn't pay for the water. >> Yeah. Yeah, I got you. >> Okay. All right. So, she didn't pay the rack price for five items. She switched the tag out. And then the total of 13275. >> Do you know if my son is here yet or >> I'll wait for him. >> Okay. >> Is it necessary since I'm cooperative? >> The woman was charged with retail theft and unlawful switching of price tags. Retail theft is never justified by personal hardship. One bad decision can lead to criminal charges, financial consequences, and lasting damage to your reputation and future. Next, the woman showed no shame at all as she came face to face with the consequences of her actions. >> I'm not [ __ ] >> On the 15th of September, 2023, officers were dispatched to a Walgreens after receiving reports of a woman suspected of shoplifting. When they approached her, she appeared completely calm, as if she was ready to face the officer. I'm officer Bana with Barney Police Department. The reason I'm contacting you is >> employees have seen you unpackaging some stuff and putting stuff in your purse. >> No, I didn't unpack anything. You can look. >> Okay. Do you have an ID on you, ma'am? >> No, I don't. >> No. >> I've not done anything wrong. >> Okay. >> No, no, look. No. What you're doing is you're accusing you something. Now, can I tell you something? I've not done any No, I'm not. Listen to you, please, sir. I've not done anything wrong. I'm showing you my back. >> I've not done No listening, please. I have not done anything wrong. >> What is your name? >> No, you can tell me to leave the store. Listen, sir. >> Call your No. Call your supervisor. Call your super No. Call back. >> No. No. I'm not going to put my bite. I don't want to fight. >> I'm not going to fight you. Call your supervisor. >> I'm going to detain you because of the way you're behaving. >> No, please do not. I'm You ask you to call your supervisor. I'm not in any type of way. >> You can ask me to leave the store. No, listen. I'm going to identify. No, you do not. You have no right to identify me. You can look in my bag. >> Yeah. >> Don't want to fight you. >> Please don't. Please don't. I'm not I'm not I'm not We can walk. You're welcome. >> She gradually escalated the situation with her uncooperative attitude. Her actions that followed even led to a charge of resisting arrest. >> I'm not I'm not. >> Yes, you are. Stop. Stop. [snorts] >> I GOT HELP. MA'AM, PLEASE. HEY, did you do anything WRONG LIKE THAT? YOU don't >> wrong. Get your hand off of his hand. You're not doing anything wrong. >> That's why I had something. Okay. >> By the way, what? >> I do. They're yours. Do you walked in? You saw that? Okay. >> Do you have any injuries? >> Yeah, I do. I need medic. >> Okay. >> She was then escorted outside to prevent further disruption inside the store. Instead of showing any remorse, she appeared to play the victim in an apparent attempt to avoid further questioning about the incident. >> So, when they inventory that, we'll get her name. >> Yeah. >> And what was your complaint as far as needing medic? Ma'am, >> I can't breathe. I got slammed by my face. >> You can't breathe? I like some sore eyes. >> Okay. >> Sorry. >> Do you have any medical conditions we should be concerned about? >> Okay, ma'am. What's your first name? >> Alison. >> Allison. >> Alise. >> Al i Z E. >> A L I Z E. Okay. What's your last name? >> Garcia. >> Okay. What's a good phone number for you? >> I don't have enough information. All you do is identify. >> What's your name? Can we start off with that? What's your name, ma'am? So, Bano did use force. He's in there sweating away. We have two individuals. She's the one that he got into use of force with that other female that showed up. They had like a bit of a miniature conversation in front of us. So, she's actually being detained also. I don't know what crime we have yet, but uh she's complaining of being slammed on her face. >> Okay. She was opening food items like chugging milk and had possibly concealed stuff in her purse. Had been in the bathroom for like an hour, I think. >> Meanwhile, officers began questioning another woman believed to be her friend. Her attempt to help her friend resist the officers ultimately led her into this situation. >> Lady right over there that we have to >> she's your friend. What's her name? >> 6 out of your >> What's that? >> Tiff. >> Tiff. Is that short for anything? >> You just know her as Tiff. Okay. How long have you known her? >> Quite a while. >> Quite a while. >> Boyfriend came down. >> While officers were questioning the other suspect, the original shoplifting suspect suddenly did something outrageous that instantly sent the situation back into chaos. >> Hey, it's Tiffany Pope. Why? That's not obviously fine then, right? If you're running around. >> Okay. Put it in my car. >> And that right there. >> Keep an eye on him. Ma'am, >> hey, I'm going to open the door real quick. I'm Sergeant Nez. >> I just wanted to ask you a couple of questions. Are you willing to talk to me? >> I'm fine. >> Are you willing to talk to me? >> What's up? >> Uh, what happened inside? Um, I didn't want to go to jail and so, um, >> here I am now. >> Okay. Um, why didn't you want to go to jail? >> Cuz I hate jail. >> Okay. >> And I knew I had warrants and he started asking my name and I hadn't done nothing wrong. >> Okay. Did you like try to walk away? Did you Did you >> I tried to and he stopped me. >> How did he stop you? >> He like blocked me with his body. >> Did he Did you ever Did he ever identify himself as a police officer? >> Yeah, he didn't. He didn't do nothing wrong. Can you just take me to jail, please? Just a couple more questions and then you can then we can get you on your way. Um, did you know he was a police officer? >> Yes, dude. I knew he was a cop. >> Okay. All right. Um, are you hurt in any way? >> I'm fine. >> Any injuries? Anything? >> Please. No. Come on. I'm fine. >> Okay. Um, I do have Well, so I do got to take a picture of you. Um, and I'll have the officer do that once he gets to the jail to take a picture of you. Okay. >> Thank you. >> Her actions only made the evidence against her [music] even harder to deny. At that point, officers explained the charges she was now facing. >> Is the Venmo card in your name? >> No, it's my friend Max. >> Your friend Max? >> Okay. And that was in the purse. >> Yeah. >> But the purse belongs to >> Yeah. >> What's her face? >> Yeah. >> What's her name again? >> It's I I just call her bit. I don't um her name is I don't know her name. >> Okay, got it. >> I'll look into that. >> There's still a bunch of other felonies. Okay. >> So, the shoplifting, I don't know. You don't contest all that stuff in court, but >> try and take my taser, headbutting me, you know, it's nothing personal. I'm not upset about it, but you know, it's a crime. We're going to go in um we're going to do things peacefully. If you run and you try to fight me, it's not going to end well for you. >> No. Why would I do that? I'm in cuffs. >> Well, you tried to run away from us when you're in cuffs. Well, that's cuz I thought that um had a chance of not going to jail. >> Okay. >> In the end, the woman was charged with shoplifting, lararseny, fourthderee battery upon a peace officer, thirdderee felony disarming a peace officer, concealing identity, and resisting arrest. Trying to flee, resist officers, or hide information can quickly lead to additional criminal charges that carry far more serious consequences than the original offense. Worse still, this woman even tried to dispose of the evidence in an attempt to outsmart the surveillance cameras. >> That's the lady she was with. So, she grabbed them. Yep, there she go. She put them in her pocket. See? >> There you go. >> You found those. >> Tampering with evidence. >> Pampering with evidence. Roger. >> On the 11th of May 2025, officers were dispatched to a Sunglass Hut store at an airport after receiving a report that a woman had shoplifted from the store and fled the scene. When they arrived, the store employee immediately provided the surveillance footage so they could identify the suspect. >> Okay, >> I'm just going to pull it up. I was wait on the internet here. >> We're going to watch it together. >> Okay. >> See where it went. It's either her or her. And she really didn't touch much. That's the lady she was with. So, she grabbed them. Yep, there she go. She put them in her pocket. See, >> she just put them in her pocket. >> Yep. We I got it. >> She may still be here. She sticks them in her pocket and calls bot out the door >> cuz I had like four people in here at the same time >> and I knew she took something cuz she went way too fast out of my store. >> Yeah. How long ago was this? >> It was at >> Georgia. >> Okay. Let me see if I can find it. >> All right. Thank you. >> I'll come back to f more information if I can't find it. Yep. >> Okay, we got her on video stealing sunglasses walked out to the door. She's over here to my left at southwest gate between 2 and 4. You got her on video. >> Yep. It's got the Georgia thing and the Air Force Ones. >> Yep. One pair of sunglasses. We saw her take it off the shelf and put it in her pocket and leave. Can Can you hang and watch her? I'm going to go back to Sunglasses to let me know we got her. Okay. >> And to get the video ready. Okay. >> His her mom's still Gucci, too. >> Oh, really? Do you have that on video? >> I can pull it up in a second. >> Okay. Getting ready to do that. We found them. >> Okay. Yeah. It's red and blue. It's really noticeable. >> Okay. Um, if they return it >> is right there in that >> if they just give it back. Do you want to still proceed? >> Prosecute cuz it's over 500. >> Okay. Immediately after confirming the woman's location, the officers quickly approached her. But when confronted with the allegation, she was already prepared with a story that denied everything. >> All right, ma'am. I need to speak with you over here for a minute. You, too, ma'am. >> I need to speak to you over here. >> Okay, you can talk to me right here. >> All right, that's fine. >> Were you at the sungass hunt earlier? >> I was not. >> Looks just like you. Got you on video. >> You don't have me on video, do I? >> Oh, yeah, we do. Yeah, we do. >> Yes, I do. >> No, you don't. [clears throat] She took some Gucci's too. >> You can come and show me on camera where you >> Oh, yeah. Let's do that. Let's do that. >> Let's do that. >> And it's a way that y'all like the way the officers is killing people and stuff. Approach us in a better manner than you. >> Yeah. >> I I don't know what you mean by that. >> I I don't get it either, but uh I want to show you the video because your description fits exactly and we have you grabbing some stuff and put them in your pocket. So, let's show you. She glasses and I picked them. She told me to put them back and and I handed them to her. >> That's fair enough. And then you'll show that dialogue when we do the video. Let's go ahead and proceed, please. >> Okay. First of all, >> here's your stuff. >> Watch because that's the flight that I'm taking. Put my stuff back. >> Okay. So, >> would you like to bring that stuff with you when we go down there? >> Yeah, I can grab my stuff. >> Yeah. See, that's the thing. You can't leave your stuff by yourself. It was you can't leave myself even though someone's watching. It's it's got to be yours. >> Ignoring the officer's repeated instructions, the woman tried to walk away, insisting that she needed to use the restroom, but suspecting she intended to dispose of the stolen merchandise, the officer stayed with her every step of the way. [snorts] >> And then I was on my way to the restroom to change my tampon. Can I change my tampon? >> There's a restaurant right there. >> I have blood on my pants, so I want to change my tampons. And then you guys can gladly wait right. Yeah, there's a restaurant here. >> No, she can't go to the bathroom now cuz she when she discards it. So, >> I'm sorry. >> I said I live in I'm in the city. I'm not going nowhere. You don't have to be. I don't have >> Well, here's the concern I have. If you have any property that doesn't belong to you at this time, this is a good time to go ahead and discard it. So, let's look at the video first. >> Okay. I'm about to pee and change my tampon, then we can go. You can wait right here until I get You're under an investigation right now. You're being detained. >> No. And I'm bleeding. >> Yeah. We have a bathroom downstairs. >> Well, I'm bleeding. >> We have a bathroom downstairs for you. >> I have to make it home to my grandmother. >> I know. We have a bathroom here. >> We have a bathroom downstairs. >> I >> It's private. It won't even be anywhere. >> Okay. Well, go get a woman. Go get a woman cuz you can't tell me I can't pee and I'm bleeding. >> We're giving a bathroom. We're giving you a private bathroom right there. >> There's a private bathroom. >> I don't trust that. Let me use the bathroom where everybody around can see me. >> Okay. So, so, so first things first. Do you know what you you know why we're stopping you, right? >> No, I don't know. But I have you told her yet. >> I need to pee in. >> I told her that we have >> You can address it. >> She's been alleged and then we have So, can you take that out for me? Whatever that was that was taken from the store. Show it to me before you go inside because I don't know what you're going to be doing in there. >> I'm going to go use the rest. >> So, how can I trust you that? She made the situation much more difficult by repeatedly trying to avoid the officer's instructions, even though they still accommodated her request. She even drew nearby bystanders into the confrontation, making the situation even more chaotic. And I like >> she's been she's been accused of shoplifting and we have it on video. >> So So she wants to go say she used the bathroom. But the problem is is that we can't control everything that she has. So we're going to bring her into the private bathroom downstairs where she'll be all by herself. We won't even be in there. >> How can you tell me when I can and can't pee? >> Would you like to come with us >> peeing on the same flight as me? >> Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. for your comfort. >> I got to pee and I'm about to go pee and y'all can see him right there. >> You're under investigation detention right now. You can't do anything like that right now. You're going to go to a >> I can't use the bathroom or >> I'm telling you you can use I'm telling you you can use the bathroom and the secured location >> and it's just right downstairs. >> You cannot just sit here and tell me that I got You're under investigative detention right now. You are not free to go. You may use the bathroom in our private area and this person who seems to you have trust may escort you, but you're going to go into a private escorted area with your own privacy. So, I am allowing you and giving you the immediate opportunity to use the bathroom. Do you understand that? >> Now, if this is further, I may have to put you in handcuffs. >> Exactly. >> So, would you prefer not being handcuffed or handcuffed? >> Where's my [ __ ] I don't know, but she got me. I don't got to do >> back to the store so she could speak directly with the store employee. >> So, come on in. >> Big TV, man. When I picked those glasses up, you may have thought that I put glasses in my pocket, but I had a vape in my hand. >> Well, this got you on camera right here. >> And I got the vape in my hand. You seen me put the whole thing. >> You seen me put something in my pocket, but it was my baby. >> The lady that was with you, she took them, too. >> Well, I don't know what anybody else has going on. >> She's got it, too. And she concealed them out of her shirt. You just put them in your bag. >> I did not put How can I put anything in this bag? >> You want to watch the video? >> Yeah. Let's go ahead and show her cuz she's saying that she couldn't explain it. >> Show me. Show me put it in my bag. >> She says that she is working. >> And if it don't show me her >> because she's she's discriminating. >> I'm I'm about to sue the out of her cuz I know for a fact I didn't put it in my >> first and foremost. You don't have to use any foul language. We're all civilians. your phone so I can call my lawyer. [music] >> I'm not sure. I not sure where your phone is. >> Oh god. You on some extra ass on some racism and I'll never come back here. >> Give get my identity off your phone. That's another law. >> I didn't record. >> Okay, just go ahead and bring up bring up the video. >> Get me off your phone. You don't have my authorization to have >> the state of consent to record. >> That's right. >> From the camera. You can't record the camera. No, girl. You didn't record. >> The more we argue, the longer it's going to take. >> No, because she pissing me off cuz she >> Let her do her thing so we can get you moving. >> I'll do and I'll show you the video. >> No, they said I have rights to be in here. >> Yes, ma'am. They can show it to you though whenever they like if you're talking about that. We're not concerned. >> I'd like Chris out there. >> The officers gave her multiple opportunities to explain herself, but she kept trying to avoid the issue. In the end, none of it changed the outcome, and the officers made their decision. >> Okay, you got to go. Turn around, ma'am. >> Show you guys the video. >> You're under arrest for theft, >> for shoplifting. Turn around, ma'am. Please. >> So, I'm missing my flight. >> I don't know if I don't know when your flight is, but turn around, please. >> My flight is at 6:40, but you she'd turn around for me. >> Okay. I know. We don't want to deal with that. >> No, you're under arrest now for retail fab shoplifting. >> Get you moving right along. >> Right. >> There you go. >> You found those. >> Tampering with evidence as well. >> Tampering with evidence. Roger. Are those it? >> That's them. Yes, sir. >> Okay. Ma'am, you've been charged with shoplifting and tampering with evidence. >> These are demonstration glasses, but they're still the same price as a live working pair. >> Okay. Well, can I find my family so I can let them know? >> Well, I think they know you're here, but they'll probably see you on the way out. >> Did you want to record that, though? >> Yeah, I'll let him deal with that. >> So, I'm about to go to jail down here. >> That's what it is. >> Are y'all serious? It's a misdemeanor. >> Just set that email >> cuz I don't think she's going to pursue the uh the felony charge. >> Would you give me a ticket or you taking me to dinner? >> Oh yeah, they'll they'll rebook it easily enough. We can do that. Would you? >> So are you taking me to jail? Write me a ticket. >> Not sure at this point. >> I'm going to let him go. >> I don't do nothing. And I have a son's waiting on me to get home. >> So who's your friend in the red shirt? That's grandma. And that's the she had the red and blue Gucci she put under her shirt and then she'll put it you see where it goes on the shirt and in the bag. >> Yeah, I showed and it's I've broken in the two videos just because >> the woman was charged with shoplifting and tampering with evidence. Trying to avoid responsibility rarely changes the outcome when the evidence is already there. Every decision made after the initial offense matters and attempting to hide or destroy evidence can create even more serious legal consequences. Cooperating within your legal rights is often the wiser course than making the situation worse. What do you think about cases like this? Next, the woman even stole a few Kinder chocolate bars on Halloween. >> Took some around, you know, just to go around the store >> and she went straight to cosmetics. And >> I don't know whose Spider-Man that is, though. Ah, she stole some Kinder. >> On the 31st of October 2025, officers responded to a shoplifting call at a Walgreens. The suspect, a woman, was reported to have walked out of the store past employees with a bag full of unpaid merchandise concealed inside. Officers arrived at the scene shortly afterward and took her into custody. >> 632 had a black bag with it. Some concealer items in. We seen her walk out of the store with a black bag and an employee in white was following her for a short period of time. She looked behind those trash cans [music] with the bag. Hi. >> Did you find her? >> Yes, ma'am. Do you guys want to pursue charges? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Bring back all the stuff she stole and I will add it up so you guys have a total. >> Yes, ma'am. Okay. We're going to have an officer come and meet with you inside the store. >> That's fine. >> Okay. >> That's fine. I was just curious if you guys got her. >> Yes. The employee remained surprisingly calm, as if she already knew the suspect wouldn't get away. Even after the stolen merchandise was recovered, she stayed cheerful, making it seem like this would be a Halloween to remember. >> All righty. >> All right. This is going to be fun. It's a lot of stuff. >> She got snackies, too. She came in with an empty bag pretty much. I don't know whose Spider-Man that is, though. She stole some Kinder. Like, Jesus Christ, woman. That's everything. >> All right. >> See how much we have. There was a co 16 paraphernel and that that bag also that foil and uh >> some straws and [ __ ] >> She had a straw in her hand. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> It may even be felony amount as much stuff as she >> I'm thinking it is. You're still scanning. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, she was like that bag mine and I was like it's been property. Cool. Wow. So, we're just trying to see camera footage real quick. At this point, officers transported the woman back to the store in a patrol car. She cried throughout the entire ride, but not out of remorse. Instead, she appeared to be trying to make herself look like the victim. Wait, [laughter] [laughter] ma'am. What are you saying? What are you saying? Please >> good. Total amount is $759. >> Total amount $769. The judge uh may see Saturday, but I don't know if they'll let you out because it's a felony amount. So, you have to just wait and see. >> Cuz I got to do a lot of paperwork. I mean, I it's probably best to just tell them or ask them to watch your baby for the weekend just in case you're in there for a while. >> I don't know. Well, ma'am, I don't like when people lie to me. You know what I mean? So, that's just what it is. >> It was clear the officer recognized she was simply trying to gain sympathy by bringing [music] up concerns about her family. Meanwhile, the surveillance footage told a very different story. It showed that she had stolen the merchandise for herself. >> And then a 204 cuz she took uh some around, you know, just to go around the store. >> Mhm. >> And she went straight to cosmetics and she started just like she spent like 10 minutes in that area. Okay. just grabbing everything and then just putting into the kitchen. >> Yeah, she uh she made an excited utterance. Um she she didn't want to say anything. Um but she was just like she's like, "Sir, I didn't mean to lie to you." She's like, "I owe somebody money." She's like, "I owe somebody money." >> Maybe because of the paraphernalia to this and there, you know, I don't know. >> Yeah. And then she exited the store >> and then I read her Miranda and then she said that she didn't want to talk. >> Octo. >> Cool. Thank you so much. >> You're welcome. >> You're welcome. >> So just a quick rundown of what happened. It was the manager of Walgreens that called in at 2300 Lman in reference to a shoplifting described a female black zip-up jacket a little bit to the right probably. >> Yeah, dude. >> The woman was charged with felony shoplifting after the total value of the stolen merchandise exceeded the statutory felony threshold. Trying to gain sympathy cannot erase clear evidence. When surveillance footage and stolen merchandise tell the real story, dishonesty only makes the consequences harder to avoid. Next, let's move on to these chaotic women. >> You're going to be placed into custody for battery. Okay. So, I need you to turn around and put her. >> I NEED YOU TO >> Don't resist. Don't resist for touching y'all. Why not touch you again? >> That's something to flex. That's something to flex. It's a lesson learned. On the 7th of February, 2026, officers received a report about a disturbance at Sam's Club. As soon as they arrived at the scene, one of the victims stepped forward and described everything they had witnessed. >> What's going on? >> So, I just there were um there was a black woman and a high schooler blocking away. Wait, wait, wait. I just said, "Excuse me." I go, "Excuse me." The kid heard me. They pull he moved over and then the one of girls goes to me, "You didn't say excuse me, blah, blah, blah." And started to shoot with me. And I was like, "Yeah, I did." And she goes, "No, you didn't." And I'm like, "What?" >> I'm like in the middle of the aisle there and she's here. >> This aisle here, >> two aisles over cereal aisle. But like I'm just right there and she's over here. And then she's starts saying, "I'm going to, you know, who do you think you are? I've always swearing and going on at me." Then she came over after me and it physically attacked me. Like she came over, grabbed my arm, grabbed my hand, tried to switch, turn, take my arm back. These are like girls in her 20s. And then the other girl. And there's >> This is the girl in pink that grabbed you? >> No, the girl with her. The other girl with her is crazy. What was she? >> So the pink girl took her the other girl off me and I was by myself. >> I saw the one in pink pulled the other one off you. >> Yeah. Yeah. But >> hey, where's the young lady with the pink that was with you? Hold on. Come here. >> What happened between you and this nice lady? >> Okay, >> there they are. >> The suspects being described suddenly appeared at the scene, allowing officers to approach them almost immediately. But their attitude clearly showed they had no intention of cooperating. >> I need your ID first. >> I have ID. Fine. >> Okay. What's your name then? What's my name? Beyonce. No. >> Okay. Do you have like anything saying so? >> You said what? >> Do you have any paperwork or any sort of ID? >> I'm sorry. >> Okay. What about your number to go get fingerprinted? You can do that, too, if you want. >> I mean, we can go that route. We could go that route. >> That's pissing me off. >> Do you have your ID with you? >> I don't trust her. >> Look at the video. Yeah, you'll see her. >> But it wasn't my arm. That's broke. >> And she grabbed your arm yourself. >> Yes, she did. >> Hey, y'all run the count. Y'all don't have a way to run the cameras back. >> Yeah. Here, let me check my phone real quick. Oh, the camera's off. >> Okay. I don't want to talk to you. Can I talk to somebody else, please? >> See, can we >> If you If you If you come at me with the same amount of respect, then I respect you. >> I just told you and you said she didn't say that. And words are words. >> I don't give a Don't call me words. You know how many times I get called? >> You're right. Words are words. You're right. But did I touch her? >> No, you're right. I get called I get called I get called. It's it's >> terms to my race. We've been through some black history month. So, of course, a white monkey gonna play with us because it's black history month. Of course, they're mad. They're mad. >> She even used race to pressure the officers and make the situation harder while insisting she never touched the victim despite the visible scratches proving otherwise. >> She grabbed it here hard like real not light, like really hard and was like around. >> Yeah, right there's her nail scratch. You see it right there. >> So the one with the reddish hair is the one who grabbed you. >> The one >> not the one in the pink, but the one with the reddish hair. >> Yeah. Hit me with her card. And all I said was, "You can't say excuse me now." >> Okay. >> Stop recording me. The weirdo. >> Who recording? >> Okay. >> Okay. >> It's fine. You guys are being recorded right now. >> That's fine. I'm on camera. That's that that's fine. But a civilian, whatever. They want to call my hands. I'll record it. >> What you recording for? You got some [ __ ] all like what are you reporting? Do >> make a report. >> Can you talk to me and tell me what happened? >> I don't know what happened. >> Okay. Well, I need you to stop moving around. You're detained right now. Okay. >> I'm detained. >> So, what happened between you and this lady? >> Nothing happened. She bumped my sister with her cart. My sister said, "Ma'am, you can't say excuse me." She said, "I did say excuse me." She She get to talk stuff. My heart say excuse me. >> And she did say the police. >> From the way these girls acted, it was clear they could easily start trouble with anyone. Even then, the woman kept denying the story and tried portraying herself as the victim instead. >> Yes, she did. She bent my fingers back. She bent them backwards. >> She bent them backwards. >> She did like this. >> Do you need medical attention right now? >> Not only medical attention, but >> I never physically touched that lady. I don't even know touch her. >> Don't know her. >> You've never encountered her before? >> She got upset because she said you didn't say excuse me. She did not say excuse me. She started mocking. >> These women had no evidence proving they were the victims. And to stop the situation from dragging on any longer, officers made their decision. But even then, the women still managed to turn everything into an even bigger mess. >> Told you what happened. >> Okay, so I need your name if you're my victim, right? You're alleging she she put hands on your >> saying she's the victim. >> She of course she's going to say she's the victim. She's the one who said all of us hit her. Now she trying to marrow down to she >> I tried explaining what she said, but you keep talking over you ain't getting to the point. So why you trying to say anything? >> You you on his way to work here. We'll disability. >> I need you to step away. >> Don't resist. Don't resist. >> Okay, I'll give you my name, sir. I did not touch it. Can y'all please believe me when I say that? >> Put your hand behind your back for me. >> They didn't run no camera. This lady is sitting here lying, dude. She never touched this lady, bro. >> Sweat my head one more time. You're going to hand me back up. You interfere with me. >> Don't grab my hand. Don't grab my hand. Stop resisting. >> No, y'all cannot take my phone. I'm not resisting. I'm not >> You need to let go OF YOUR PHONE. MINE. >> YOU ARE COMFORTABLE. Guess what? Cuz I can still stand here just as much as you can. >> I bet y >> still not doing anything though, right? >> That's right. >> Why would I touch you? >> The woman was charged with battery and assault on a peace officer. Acting aggressively, refusing to cooperate, and escalating a minor conflict only made the consequences far worse for everyone involved. What do you think about cases like this?
