Being a cop is one of the greatest things ever. You never have the same day. There's always something different, different calls for service. You meet all kinds of different people from different backgrounds. I don't think I ever go home and think, "Man, today was boring." I'm going to stop this guy for making a wide right out of the QuickTrip, impeding traffic just a little bit. Hello, sir. You can stay in the car. >> I'm uh my window don't roll down. >> Oh, your window doesn't roll down? Okay. Hey, so a couple reasons why I'm stopping you. When you came out of the QuickTrip, you cut across all that traffic. You know what I'm talking about? So, you got >> about the light? >> No, no, no. When you came out of that QuickTrip, the the driveway, you cut across all the way to the turn lane to go south onto Gilbert. >> I can't do that. >> You got to come into the innermost lane. Can't cut across all lanes of traffic. Secondly, your left brake light doesn't work. >> Oh, okay. >> Do you have your ID on you, sir? Any weapons in the car? Yeah. Okay. What do you got? >> I have my issue. >> Is that a gun? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Where at? >> Uh it's in my bag. >> It's in your bag? Cool. Just don't reach for your bag and we won't have any problems. Thank you, sir. Where are you heading? >> Work. >> Are you cool just hanging out of the trunk that way I don't have to wait for another officer to come and I can get you out of here? Yeah, you can just leave it here, fine. Can you just come and stand by the trunk? Cool. >> I might be in a lot of trouble like that. >> No, I hear you. Just If you want, you can just lean up against the back of your trunk and just hang out. I'm just going to write this gentleman a warning citation just documenting my traffic stop with him and the warning that's being issued. So, if he does get stopped by another officer for the same violation, he'll probably receive a citation. As long as he's not a prohibited possessor, it's totally legal for people to have firearms. He looks like he's over the age of 21, so he can have a firearm concealed in his vehicle, on his person, so it doesn't matter. It'd be different if it was like on his person, I'd probably wait for another officer before having him move or do anything. Just for a safety aspect, but if it's in his bag in his passenger seat, I'm more than comfortable letting him just hang out at the back of the car while I write him his warning. >> Hey, what do you want from me? >> If you want to hang out with him, there's a 422 in the backpack in his passenger seat. All right, Luis. >> Yeah. >> There's your things back, your driver's license, your registration of the vehicle. This right here, like I said, is the documentation of why I stopped and talked to you. So, if another officer stops you, they're probably going to give you a ticket for it. All right. And if you're curious about any of those things, it's all the little laws and all that stuff. >> I got you. >> Cool? >> Right on, man. >> All right, man. Have a good day, man. Yeah, you guys are good. Thank you. Somebody's not breathing, and all the information we have is that somebody is doing compressions. So, we're going to go see what's going on. Try to keep out of the way for the fire truck. Can I have you guys step on over this way, please? >> Thank you. Smart and out faced. >> Were you doing compressions? >> Uh I I doing mouth-to-mouth. Someone else was doing compressions. >> Okay. Did it move? Ashcroft. Can you just talk to this lady? Will you just go over there and chat with that officer for me, please? This lady right here. This lady, yeah, please. >> Thank you, everybody. >> I was just walking by and I see them slumped over. >> Okay, thank you. You got a pulse on He's got the oxygen. >> Yeah. He got the oxygen, yes. >> Yeah. I said no chance. >> [snorts] >> He's down up here in the I know. >> You want them on the inside? >> He's breathing again, I think. >> 430 35 on 6. >> I put him on the I already gave him the oxygen. Put him on the >> Looks like a probably a little bit of drug paraphernalia, so On the inside of this, there's burn residue, probably smoking fentanyl. These drugs are made They're not prescription drugs. They're made by some drug dealer or somebody in a house that doesn't care. Everybody's hand size is different and this is how you can get too much fentanyl in something, right? They don't know what they're what they're they're What did that lady say? >> She said they were uh in their AA meeting. He's not part of AA meeting at all. Never seen him before. They came out, saw him laying on the ground, went to check on him, wasn't breathing, and they found a bunch of paraphernalia next to him. >> Well, they issue us the police department is nasal Narcan. It's a lot simpler than fire. Fire gives them an injection of Narcan. Similar. But, usually you'll see the effects start to wear in after a couple minutes. Uh they'll almost jolt to life. There you go. >> Relax. How you feeling? Do you know where you're at right now? Where are you? >> So, this right here is a good example of why you probably shouldn't do fentanyl. Um I don't think you should do it at all, but people are going to make their own decisions. I think that it's super dangerous. You don't know what you're ingesting, inhaling. It's all fun and games until you end up in the back of an ambulance or dead. White male, gray shirt, black shorts. Gilbert, I mean. You beat me to it. >> Why are you pulling me over? >> So, your light wasn't visible. >> Oh, yeah. It's cuz I was turning off as I crossed the street. >> Okay. Well, I did see you riding. I know. Really quick question, boss man, do you have any weapons on you? >> I don't. >> Okay. Do you have an ID? >> Yeah, I do. >> Okay. I'll take that from you. Where are you heading? >> To my dad's house. >> Okay. >> There's marijuana. >> Yeah, I'm not. I prefer not to get it on my hands, but >> Oh, yeah, the wind's going that way though. >> If I could just get your ID, that'd be great. >> go. >> Without a bunch of marijuana. >> Hey, it came legal though, you know. >> I don't I don't care about it. I just don't want to smell like it. >> No, I hear you. I hear you. >> Thank you, sir. >> Yeah. >> 4 Charlie 35 switch 10-6. If you turn around and you face the other way, it'd probably be better. >> Yeah, I got to ride this way for a little bit right now. >> 4 Charlie 35 on 6. >> I'm hot, so I can't feel good on my phone right now. >> Is it Jorge or George? >> Jorge. >> Jorge? >> Yeah, yeah. >> Okay. Jorge, when was the last time you used drugs? >> I smoke weed. >> That's it? >> Yeah, that's it. >> Nothing else? >> been riding the bike since I've been riding the bike since real in Southern, so >> Okay. All right. >> Uh it's been a while. >> That that is a waste of travel. >> my my sweat. I can >> No, I I'll pass. I appreciate it. >> swear I'm right now I smoke weed. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. Uh you said you've talked to officers before, what for? >> Oh yeah, when I got stopped over there cuz they they saw me on the property and they thought I was doing something wrong, you know what I'm saying? >> Like trespassing or something? >> Yeah, yeah. >> Okay. >> But uh my my my friend's wife, I guess she it was at the store filling out some papers and she came out cuz she saw me on the camera. I saw the lights and everything was good. >> Have you been arrested before? >> What do you mean? >> Like have you been arrested? >> Hey, I got my record say I have. >> I I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm still waiting on them to respond. Does the the bike not work at all electric or >> No, no electric. It's pedal already. I went to court on it already. >> No, I'm saying it doesn't work at all though? >> Oh, it pedals. >> Yeah, but I mean like the the battery the >> No, there's no battery. no electric motor? >> There's wires that used to come out of this. >> Oh, okay. >> motor in here. I have no motor. I pulled the motor out. If I had a motor in there, it makes it harder to pedal cuz there ain't nothing to There's just wires, see? See? There's no There's no There's no computer. >> Whole Whole thing folds up. >> There's no computer. >> Dude, you got a little stash compartment in there, dude. >> Hey, nobody You You're not smart enough to find that. You know what I'm saying? >> I would have never looked in there. >> That's why I'm showing you. I don't got nothing in the hide. >> No, I appreciate it, dude. I appreciate it. >> in there, you know what I'm saying? >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> Hey, it usually has a kickstand goes down right here. I bent it up cuz I don't want it in my way. >> Got you. Got you. Got you. >> Cuz when you go over the curves, it gets in the way. You go over like little little curves. >> Yeah. >> It It's a kickstand in here. >> Back 4 Charlie 35. Yeah, I copy. I'm code 4 24933. I'm going to switch him back to channel 3. >> It's supposed to bolt over in there right here, but I don't have it, so. >> Got you. All right, man. There's your ID back. You have a good rest of your night. I'll just document that I gave you a warning. Make sure that that light's uncovered, especially now that it's dark. >> yeah. I got it. I got it. I got it. >> Okay. So, I'd probably throw your helmet on. >> Yeah. >> Be safe. >> Always. Cuz that's why I wear this kind of helmet. Man, I paid $400 for this helmet. >> All your things are falling out, dude. >> It It's my light. Oh, yeah. >> There you go. >> There you go. >> Absolutely, man. Well, I'd make sure I'd make sure nothing else fall out of your bike, dude. >> I I got nothing else. >> Okay. All right, man. >> All right. Thank you. >> Yeah, be safe. Have a good night. >> You too. >> Uh he's riding through a monsoon right now. So, one of the little flash flood flash flood warnings. He is going to struggle a little bit. But got to do what you got to do. >> [music]
