Sister 500. >> No, 500 each. >> These were the consequences behind the thefts these criminals had committed. But if they still thought about fleeing by car or calling family for help, this was how it ended for them. >> WHY? NOW THEY'RE ARRESTING ME. MOM, >> I will give him my ID. I told you. >> You want to play games? I'll play games with you. >> These are the times when woman walks out of Walmart with an entire cart like she owns it. We are This is Law. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Beginning with women who believe they had successfully escaped the consequences of their crimes. >> She always brings us back and this is where she stuffs everything in. These two come in quite a bit. Her boyfriend husky. Okay. On the 3rd of April 2023, police received a report about a theft that had occurred. The suspects were believed to be a group of women who had repeatedly stolen merchandise there. Upon arriving at the scene, the loss prevention department combined CCTV footage to provide a detailed statement about the incident. >> So, I got everything ready for you guys. >> Sweet. >> Um, so for the last month, well, Monday, we found out we were missing a bunch of product. started watching camera, saw two females that stole like over $600 that night. >> Okay. >> So, we kind of transactions look back. So, I can show them to you. >> Okay. >> What they look like. There's two females that come in >> and then there's a female and a male that comes in. >> Um, these are two of the females. So, these two come in quite a quite often. And she always brings us back in. This is where she stuffs everything in. These two come in quite a bit. Her boyfriend, husband. This is him. >> Okay. >> He's all tatted up. Legs, arms. She always has a green vape pin around her >> neck. I have it written down to everything that I've noticed that they have taken, which they've they've taken more than what I've found, but we don't have cameras. I've got about $1,400 worth so far. >> Okay. Do you have the video of the truck and all that stuff, too? >> I do, actually. That's the truck. >> Okay. >> White Dodge blacked out. Um, and I wrote the license plate number on the paper as well. >> Yeah, I looked up the truck tag that you provided. It does come back to a white Dodge. It's registered to an older man from Miami. >> Oh, fantastic. >> So, that's fun. >> Yeah. Well, they've been they came in Monday, Tuesday. I'm pretty sure they live around here cuz they've been coming in >> at least for a couple days. >> Uh, no, for like the last like month. >> Month? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> The theft group was identified as bringing bags and attempting to conceal the goods inside, mainly cosmetics and high-end food, and exploiting selfch checkout to carry out the theft. This was confirmed by employees. >> So, notice that they only come through selfch checkckout. >> Okay. which makes it easier for them to steal stuff. >> Absolutely. >> So, I caught on to that pretty quick, too. So, this is them right here. >> If you could just let it play like at normal speed when they're at checkout. >> Okay. >> And this is the 15th. >> This is the first one. Yep. And it seems like she's using Well, not seems like she's obviously using that massive bag to put things in. >> Oh, throughout the store. Yeah. And you have her on video in the aisles putting stuff into that bag or >> So, they go down the aisles that don't have cameras. >> Okay. But there's one which I have it on USB is that when they're together um she's like the watch out the walk like you can see employees you can Yeah. So you can see them go down an aisle and you can see like her hair um and then she's kind of just keeping an eye out. >> Mhm. >> And you see all the stuff that goes down the aisle and then when she walks out it's not there and the bag's been moved and you can tell that it's full of stuff. >> But the items that we have listed down are just items that you can see at checkout that were not paid for. Yeah, they're they're items that I've saw her put them in the cart or inside the bag where it's open >> and then when they check out, none of that is scanned. >> All right, please raise your right hand for me. You sure the statement you're about to give is the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth. >> I do. >> Using images of the vehicle captured on CCTV and provided by the store. Police tracked down the suspect's residence and approached it 12 days later. This was what happened next. >> How you doing, sir? Hello, sir. My name's Detective Baron. We're just in the area doing a neighborhood. We had some activity that's been occurring down the block this week. Do you I'm sorry, sir. I don't speak English. Okay. >> I speak Spanish. >> You speak Spanish? Okay. I don't speak a lot of Spanish. Are you Do you own this home? >> No, I live with my daughter. >> Okay. Are they home? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. Is it okay if I talk to her? >> One second. I'm looking for the movie for the >> Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay, that's fine. >> I have a deputy out here. Can we come speak outside? We have somebody who speaks Spanish we need to speak to. Okay. >> Yeah. Can you come out here with me? So out here we've been having vehicle burglaries. Okay. Do you own any of these cars or anything like that? >> Okay. Go ahead and get your spender off. >> Police approached the suspect under the pretense of investigating vehicle thefts in the area, which was why she smiled at first, believing she had not been caught. But at that moment, her attitude quickly changed. Why? Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Why? Why? Why? Why? >> Just relax for a second. Relax. Just relax. >> Why? Why? Just pull this up. There you go. Just get her scared. >> Okay. >> Stay right there. >> It's okay. Just relax. No, no, >> no. >> Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Stephanie. >> Stephanie. Correct. >> Okay. You can go ahead and explain it. Just keep it simple. >> This is a Stephanie. >> Okay. Let's just ask her if she's willing to come to the office and talk to us. Okay. She willing to provide us with a statement. Talk to us >> so we can clarify everything >> so we can clarify and complete the investigation. You guys don't know what's going on. Okay. Landra Suarez Gallardo was charged with retail theft of more than $750 in coordination with others, a thirdderee felony under Florida law. The more people repeat a crime and grow confident they can get away with it, the easier they forget that every move leaves a pattern. And sooner or later, that confidence collapses into consequences. [music] Next, this next group of shoplifterss clearly did not even seem to know the meaning of shame. >> That's mine. I already sold my hair. >> Yeah, we don't sell those here. So, it's okay. Where is the water? [ __ ] 500. 500? >> No, 500 each. >> On the 11th of October 2025, police received a report from Walmart about a theft that had taken place with the suspects believed to be a group of [music] three women. As soon as officers arrived at the scene, all of them were taken to the loss prevention room. Here was what happened next. >> Watch your head before you came in. You can check the camera. >> All right. I got in my bag. That's mine. >> Put them together like your frame. >> Y makes it easier. Yeah. And I got >> Yeah. >> And my my mama in the car, she had a stroke. She can't even drive. >> One of the other people over there. >> No. >> Yes. about a party today. So we came out here today. We just got here maybe like 45. >> It It came from a kid. That's mine. I already told my >> Yeah, we don't sell those here. So, it's okay. >> All of them denied any theft, even with the evidence right in front of them. But suspicion grew that they had planned it from the start when police discovered that none of them had any ID. >> Okay. So, she's never been issued an ID at all. Never. Never had a driver's license ID. to leave today. Like is she going to be able to pay for it? >> Yeah, I'm pretty sure like on you stuff. >> Uh possibly like do you guys know like the amount that it could possibly be? >> It depends. I mean sometimes it'll be like no I don't like it depends. It depends on your criminal history. It depends on the attorney. It depends on the judge. You need to like out 500 >> and with the uh box company like the 2% thing. >> Yes. >> Really? >> So how much that that's going to be all of us the same? >> Possibly. >> Possibly. It depends on your criminal history and what they never been to jail. You ever been arrested? >> No. >> For what? Uh, >> anything to do with uh retail or any kind of >> This is my first time ever, bro. You're probably too >> even though their guilt had become clear by that point. These suspects showed no shame at all. They did not seem to care about what they had done, only about their appearance. >> Describe what they were wearing. I just throw the backpack or the purple shirt. >> Yeah, they got to take it off over there, right? Take off your hair over there. >> Oh my I don't have no more big glue. What I'm going to do? >> They're going to take it off. They got to take it off. >> They going to see some raggly braids on here. So, we going to take my ponytail out too. other people you guys get my wig back at. >> Okay. >> You don't stay here in Florida? >> No. >> No. You've never been here? >> We have. We went to Kazini. It's >> my second time actually. Where's your family though at? >> No, no, no. But who are you coming to visit here? >> Oh, in Orange City. >> Orange City. Where at? >> Huh? Where? Orange. >> That was a birthday party. I'm not coming for. >> In fact, this shoplifting group did not only include these shameless adults, but also other members who were not even capable of taking responsibility. And at that point, they used that person as an excuse, as if it would change anything. My baby ain't having no pet and he been nothing. Y'all heard him cry. >> Let me just do this instead. >> I was going to cuss, but don't mistake. >> How old your baby is? >> How old is he now? 4 months. He's >> He's tiny. >> So depending on like what you have, would it have to be different? Like if you are saying we have like a large >> like it's the amount that changes the charge. It's $750 or more for a felony in state Florida. >> What we only had about $10. >> It's still dismissing me regarding that. It could be $150, >> but the problem here is that you're out of state and usually like if y'all say you have no criminal history, nothing bad. you're in Florida, you have a address here that you obviously live here. We would give you a it's called a notice to appear, meaning we'll release you on site, but you still had to show up to court at another date. But since you're out of state, unfortunately, we just can't do that. But we got to go like even even say that that process went like that and it was a notice to appear, if you don't show up to court, people think it's like, oh, some people think it's like, oh, okay, I got released. I don't care. I'll forget about situations. It doesn't work. No. When you don't show up to court, you get a warrant off for your arrest. >> You a damn drive 12 hours to go to court. >> So now what's going to happen? Once you get pro, your fingerprints and your pictures will be on file. So it doesn't matter where you go to stand over. >> These suspects realized they were not going to escape the consequences of what they had done. And soon after they grew visibly anxious, repeatedly asking about how much they would have to pay. >> You got to pay the full amount. >> But what about the jail? >> The jail? That's the same thing. >> The full amount >> probably. >> Where is the full amount? [ __ ] $500. >> 500? >> No. 500 each. >> $500. >> You can't just pay for what they stole. That's it. >> That's not up to me. >> That's That's We're already past that point. >> Trust me. I was trying to give them a notice up here, but since they're all out of state, there's nothing I can do. cuz it's petty theft. But >> but either way, since y'all from out of state, >> did you talk to the bondsman? >> Yeah, I just >> Oh, that's you. They have to pay the whole thing. >> Yeah. >> Do they take anything as collateral? >> Like what? >> He got a car under him. Is it paid off? >> No. >> I don't know. I was just thinking things like registration. Ultimately, the group was charged with petite theft and issued trespass warnings banning them from returning to that Walmart. A quick crime can turn into lasting consequences, and excuses will never erase the price of bad choices. Before moving on to the next shoplifter, let's meet the woman who thought she knew the law. >> Why I stalked you? >> That is the law. You can >> Who do you think knows the law better? You want to play games? I'll play games with you. Oh, >> here. I never put your hands behind your back. On the 20th of January 2026, deputies approached a vehicle after it allegedly cut across traffic to make an illegal wide turn. But when they confronted the woman, she acted like she knew the law better than the cops themselves. >> Hey there. Do you have your information? License, registration. >> I have a picture of my insurance cuz it says >> Yeah, that'll work. >> If you're talking to me, I I can't hear you. >> I'm sorry. You're you're speaking like really little and then I got lots of lots of cars. >> Can I ask why I'm getting killed? >> Sure. Can I see your ID, your license, sir? >> Uh I'm gonna need a reason for it. >> No, that's not how this works. >> It is though. >> Oh, it is? >> Yeah. >> No. All right. So, just so you're aware, the whole traffic stops being audio and video recorded. So, I stopped you for a lawful reason. I am requesting your driver's license, your registration, and your insurance. lawful reason. >> Yep. And I'll explain that lawful reason as soon as I get the documents in which I'm requesting. >> Like I said, I'm not going to have this back and forth of you arguing with me of why I'm stopping you. I stopped you for a lawful reason. There's nothing that says that I have to tell you why I stopped you. >> That is the law. You have to tell me. >> Who do you think knows the law better, me or you? She believed the deputies had no valid reason for her to hand over her ID and her uncooperative attitude only made the encounter even more tense. >> Okay, here's the deal. Your ID is right there. So, you can either hand it to me or we can go a different route. >> I am not giving you my ID. I totally pulled you over. >> I pulled you over for a lawful reason. Okay. >> Lawful reason. >> All right. Here. Okay. So, you turned on onto 23rd and you went into the furthest lane and then you came back to the left lane. You can't do that. You can't turn into both lanes. Now, please provide me your identification, license >> and registration, please. >> I'm getting pulled over, but he want to tell me. >> It was clear that she was the one making it difficult for the deputies to carry out a simple request. She even called her mother to avoid complying, forcing the deputies to act immediately before the situation dragged on any longer. >> Mom, hop out. >> Go and hop out, >> Mom. >> Cuz I will give him my ID. I told you. >> You want to play games? I'll play games with you. Oh, >> here. I never had to. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Stay inside the car. >> Grab my phone. >> Nope. You're going to stay right there and do not move. >> Are you [ __ ] serious? >> Yeah, I am serious. That isn't how this works. >> Are you dead? Cuz you can't tell me why you pulled me over. >> I told you why I pulled you over. Back here to my car. >> Are you start walking to my car? >> Stay in the car. Do not get out of the car. >> Holy [ __ ] Are you a [ __ ] idiot? >> Yeah, I must be. Turn to face my car. Spread your feet. You have anything on you I need you to be aware of? Anything that could poke me? Sick me stab me. >> Hop inside my car. Just so you're aware, everything's being audio and video record. The woman's face showed clear discomfort as if she already knew she was in the wrong and chose to resist cooperating with the deputies. Meanwhile, the deputies moved in to calm the passenger. >> You want to go see what the deal with the passenger is? See if he's of age. >> Hey, I'm Deputy Taylor. You're being audio video recorded if you didn't hear that already. All right. Uh, do you have a license? >> You don't have a license, then you can't drive. Okay. How old are you? 18. Okay. Is that the owner on the phone? >> All right. So, you're 18. Um, the owner said you can stay here with the car. Okay. And then you're good with that. And then the owner, is she going to She's on her way. So, can she take the car then? Okay. Who's the owner? Do you know the girl? >> Cassandra. Okay, cool. I appreciate it. Thank you. Hang on one second. Okay, >> back with the woman, her earlier arrogance had completely collapsed. Just look at her attitude now. >> Where do I identify and then obstructing my investigation? I don't know where you get your information, but your information is not correct. Okay? This isn't uh what you see on on Facebook and Tik Tok reals is not real life. This is real life. Okay? There's nothing on on the books on the state of Washington that says that I have to give you a reason why I stopped you. I do that as a courtesy, but I do that after I get the information because I don't want to have the back and forth like you are going to to have with me. Okay. So, you have a mandatory court appearance on I believe it's the 1st of excuse me, the 2nd of February at 1:00 p.m. Okay. As far as the traffic infraction, you have 30 30 days to respond to it with these four options up here. You can choose the one that best fits you. Fill this out and send it to this address right here. So, let's go ahead and hop out. We're going to slot cuffs out. >> She was charged with obstructing a law enforcement officer, failing to obey a lawful order, and making an improper turn. Refusing to cooperate and acting like the rules do not apply to you can turn a simple traffic stop into a much bigger legal problem. Because arrogance and delay will not change the law. They will only make the consequences worse. Worse, [music] these shoplifterss refuse to take responsibility. >> Make an example out of everybody. so that people stop stealing from their store. >> Don't make me an example, please. I literally prepared myself yesterday. >> I literally did my hair and everything. >> On the 1st of January, 2024, police were dispatched to a residential neighborhood after receiving reports that a suspect from an earlier Waw Wa theft had been spotted there. The suspect was believed to be the 18-year-old girl involved in a string of thefts committed with her group on different days. This was what happened when officers approached her. Hey, how's it going? Detective Gal with the sheriff's office. Yeah. >> What's your name? >> Gigi. >> Gigi. How old are you, Gigi? >> I'm 18. >> 18. Got a minute to talk? >> Yes. >> Reason I'm here, I'm investigating some thefts that occurred out of the uh wall out on steroid 64. You got a boyfriend? [music] >> Yeah. >> What's his name? All right. Who's that? >> That's me. But >> you and >> Yeah. Okay. Who's this guy? >> I don't know who that is. >> Come on. >> Yeah. >> Help me out. Help yourself. >> Deonte, maybe. >> Deonte who? >> I don't know his last name. >> Where does he stay? >> I don't know. >> You got a phone number for him? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. Who drives this car? The uh blue Impala? >> I I don't know. I've never seen that car before. >> You've never seen that car before? You were there that night, >> but I have not seen that car. I don't know what that is. >> So, you and him were stealing stuff, so I think that you probably know who it is. Is it Deonte? >> Yeah. >> Okay. What's his last name? >> I I don't know his last name. >> Why are you guys stealing beer and stuff from the gas station? >> I don't know. >> You don't know? >> Just being stupid. Hey, >> that's you, right? Yeah, >> that's also you, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, I appreciate you being honest with me. Is that you, too? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> The young woman indirectly admitted to the theft by acknowledging that she had been at the store. At that point, she also gave officers additional information about the other members involved. >> Who's Who's these guys in the back? This girl and this kid with no shirt. >> Um, that's she's rich. >> Yeah, >> I know who she is, too. Damn, you just know everybody. >> Yeah. You want to know why? >> Why? >> You want to know why? Cuz when that big party happened out there on Damn Road and all that [ __ ] got stolen and Johnny >> stole a gun from the house. Yeah. So, I investigated all that. >> So, now when I got these cases, >> what do I do about this? Like, I have to pay him back or something. >> What kind of history do you have? >> I don't have a history. >> You have no criminal history at all? Well, I got in like a fight, but that was a >> So, who are these pe Who are these people in the back? >> What's their last name? >> I don't know. I have no clue. >> So, who do you think this girl is? >> I don't I don't know. Is it or >> I have no clue. I don't like that either. >> All right. [laughter] I'm trying to find a person. >> No, I I don't know who that is. >> They still didn't seem to feel much remorse for what they had done, but their attitude quickly changed when police warned them about the consequences they could soon be facing. >> You guys need to stop stealing stuff, okay? It's going to lead you down a path >> that you don't want to go down. >> We talk about it a lot, actually. >> Now you're going to get in trouble. They're cracking down because it's a problem at that Wawwa especially. >> Yeah. As well as 64. >> Yes. 64 in Lakewood Ranch. Um they want all you guys prosecuted. Um so kind of is what it is. You're probably going to catch a theft charge. >> Are you for real? >> Yep. But it's a it's a petty theft. It's a misdemeanor. So [snorts] um like you're not under arrest right now. Anything like that? >> I'm not going to get arrested. >> I I I honestly can't tell you whether you will or not. I got to look at your history and and see if you qualify for uh like a diversion program or something. If not, you're probably going to have a warrant for your arrest and then you'll Yeah, you'll have to go to jail and then get booked out or you you know processed and released. >> No, [laughter] >> for petty. >> I can't like pay them or nothing. >> Thanks. What you want to do? >> Well, I I don't think they're interested in doing that cuz u like I said, it keeps happening. So now they're trying to like make an example out of everybody so that people stop stealing from their store. >> Don't make me an example, please. I'll never do it again. >> Okay. Well, thank you, sir. >> You too. >> Yeah. Thanks. >> Police didn't stop with those suspects. After tracing the vehicle seen at the scene, they tracked down another suspect connected to the theft. Just like the girls before him, this young man showed no sign of remorse at all. >> I'm testing your honesty right now. Okay. >> Yeah, the tat. Um, if that's his t Yeah. Here's the blue Impala. All right. So, just so you know, I'm not lying. >> I'm telling you everything I got. That Gigi, >> I think so. Yeah. >> Who's this girl with the black tube top? >> I'm not sure. >> Not sure. >> Not sure. I've seen her before. Don't know her name. >> Come on. >> I don't know her name. >> Need your help. All right. How about this girl with the glasses? >> The girl with the glasses name is Carissa. >> I appreciate you being honest with me. Obviously, you know, you identified yourself from there. [snorts] It's a petty theft. Okay, it's a misdemeanor. It's the lowest level of offense. You're probably going to have a warrant written for your arrest. You'll end up getting arrested and or you could turn yourself in. But [snorts] um Wawa wants to prosecute everybody cuz it's an ongoing issue. I guess >> all right. You got any questions for me? >> No. >> How about you, Dad? You dead? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You got any questions for me? >> No. >> All right. My my suggestion is one, just don't steal at all and and two, I would probably quit going to the wall up there. Yeah, I wouldn't I wouldn't go back if I were you. And I know it's uh kind of become a bit of a teen hangout lately, but they're watching hard and they want to crack down. So, >> all of the suspects questioned by police mentioned another person involved, and days later, officers managed to track that suspect down. Unlike the others, she at least appeared to show some regret for what had happened. Um, uh, we should be honest, we were all drunk one night and we went there. I did take two cases of, uh, twisted teas, but >> Okay. I mean, why are you doing that? Just cuz you can't >> cuz you're not old enough to buy it and >> Yeah. I mean, like, I have the money and if they want us to pay them back or >> whatever the case may, I'll do that. I just I'll never do it again. And I haven't done that. I haven't done it since. >> Okay. >> Let me show you some pictures. So, that was that's GG there, right? You're >> all right. And then that's you obviously, right? >> Okay. Kind of unmistakable with the tattoos and everything. >> Stop stealing. >> Don't steal. Period. >> Yeah. >> And and definitely don't steal from WA anymore cuz they want to prosecute all you guys. You're not under arrest. I'm not taking you to jail today. I appreciate your honesty. You're probably going to have a misdemeanor warrant at some point. You can either turn yourself in at that point or just wait until you get arrested. But um >> what happens if I turn myself in? Do I get like >> I mean you can turn yourself in at the jail once you have the warrant and they'll book you in and then you you'll have a bond and you'll be able to get released. >> Okay. >> I appreciate your honesty. Thank you. No more stealing. >> No sir. >> I know you guys. >> How old are you? >> Uh thank you. >> Although she had been warned beforehand, the first woman, Giovana, still showed no sense of guilt even when police arrested her. What happened? >> We're just looking to talk to someone. >> Okay, I own this. >> Oh, is here these kids out of here. >> Hey, GG. Can't be stealing [ __ ] You're out. I'm just calling my mom. We can't have arrested for >> your warrant that you have. Mom, I see me right now. Why did you even answer the door? >> I let him in. You can't have people with warrants living in these rental houses, dude. >> And I was going in either way. The address is on. >> Mom, new shoes back in there. >> My house. She walk around. >> Is the front door open? >> Yeah. >> Hey, can you get her a pair of shoes? You want four drive on or not? >> Mom's on your helmet and stuff here. >> Yeah. >> Do you have anything on you? >> No. >> Nothing at all? >> No. >> Um, sorry. >> Okay. >> I'm I'll sit in the back there. >> Thank you. >> Am I out of bail? >> Yeah. Like my mom's going to bail me out today. >> Yeah. You'll be there for a little little bit cuz you're an adult. >> You'll be able to bail me out. >> My mug shop better not be off Facebook. I'm putting it all over. I literally prepared myself yesterday. >> I literally did my hair and everything yesterday cuz I thought I was going to get arrested yesterday. Like I was preparing myself to get arrested cuz everyone was saying I had a warrant. So I was like getting ready for it. >> All the suspects were charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft. What did you think about these suspects? Did they repeat actions like this in the future? Leave a comment and let us know. Next. This man had even stolen the identity of someone with active warrant. You're not 6'2. You ain't got blue eyes is what the ID is coming back to identification. I really don't have security. I don't have anything. >> On the 19th of December, 2025, officers approached a man after receiving reports that he had used a fraudulent ID to rent a car. And the moment they confronted him, every glaring mismatch in his appearance was immediately pointed out. >> Hey, sir. How you doing? So this is not coming back to a picture of you ID. What do you do? You're not 6'2. You ain't got blue eyes is what the ID is coming back to. >> Why do you say 62? >> What? >> Why does it say 62 with blue eyes? >> It says you're 6'2 6'2 with blue eyes, which does not match you. Correct. Do you have another ID or what's your name? No, that's the ID gave me at the DMV. >> Okay. >> Because I'm waiting on my paper card and having to come. That's the paper. >> Okay. >> Hey, you busy. >> Are you able to come to Alamo? >> We're doing an ID verification and it's not totally matching up. Yeah. GR. Yeah. First first floor first shed. I know it's on there, but what's your name? >> Yeah. >> And what's your date of birth? >> Um, >> what year? >> Um, 19. >> You're good. >> Have you ever had an ID out of another state? >> No. >> Only. >> Yeah. Okay. That's what like I'm so confused. It could be said that the man had clearly prepared an advance by memorizing the information on the ID. And to further confirm that he had used someone else's identity, officers verified it through the system >> name. It comes back to a different photo. >> Correct. Or that photo belongs to this driver's license. Correct. >> Theoretically, this guy is committing identity for us. Right. So, the only other thing we can do is contact uh C and see if they want to run it in any other way. But it appears like we have enough PC at the moment. So, I would just ask him additional questions to figure out if we can identify who we actually are. >> So, do you know like do you know your social know your social security number? I don't know. No, I don't feel that out. >> Well, we're trying to ID you. >> I know. Unless it's coming back to you. >> It is. I was It's back to me. It's not coming back to you. >> I swear to you. It's coming back to me, sir. It's not coming back to you, Mario. So, I >> If you If you want us If you want us to help identify who you are, >> that is me. I'm not doing my social. I don't I don't Okay. Well, right now we're sitting at that this is a fake you're committing identity to because this is not it's coming back to a different person. >> How how is that coming back to a different person? Where's What does this What does this person look like? But it's coming back. >> Not you. >> Cuz I can assure you it's not it's I'm waiting for it to be made. Well, I'm not going to argue like either try to ID you like either get all your social just so we can help you out or we're going to have to arrest you for identity theft. >> Um I just don't feel comfortable giving that is there any any other way we can not identify you. >> He showed no panic when officers told him the ID he claimed was his was fake, making it clear that he had already known that. Police gave him another chance to prove himself. But his answers only raised even more suspicion. >> If you want to identify yourself bisexual, you can. If not, I will arrest you. Okay. We'll give you Okay. What can you identity the identity if you're telling me it's not me? Because you're using someone else's ID or a fake ID. That's with what's your social comeback to not to this not to this person. >> All right. And what is what is the social comeback? >> Uh come he said you can't run it so we can so you can only do it >> but he was saying it's not me. >> What social? What's what state were you born out of? >> What social would that come back to in a driver's license? Well, I know it's your social. Well, what you're telling me is your social. What state would that driver's license be associated with a social? For instance, if you had a driver's license out of North Carolina, your social would be associated with it. When you got a driver's license, other than the driver's license you're presenting, where would that social be attached to? It would be uh Yeah. Okay. Um, is there a number from on your driver's license that you recall? Do you recall your driver's license number? >> Uh, no, sir. Off the top of my head. Okay. >> And why do you think it comes back from Did you have an driver's license? >> No, that's like right. >> He failed to prove anything at all and everything the man said only dragged the situation out for no reason. So, by that point, officers had made their decision, >> right? >> And I'm asking you, if you're telling me that's you and it's not, I'm offering you an opportunity to tell me now the the truth. Just tell me the truth. Is that you? >> Uh, no. >> Right. Can you tell me who you are, your actual real information? I want you to do is continue cooperating with with us. We're going to be nice to you. We're going to be respectful. We're not going to do anything outside of what we're allowed to do by law. All right? We're not going to violate your rights. We're not going to use excessive force. We're just here to figure things out. Can you just provide him your correct information? >> Yeah. >> All right. I appreciate it. >> What is it? Two of you. What do you have for sure? What's your name? What's your name? Thank you. >> Would you mind if I take a picture of you? It's going to be easier for us to locate that driver's license. What made you want to use someone else's driver's license? I my driver's license stolen. >> Stolen. >> So, yeah. So, I I went to a friend cuz I needed identification in order to get um get my I can get a driver's license. So, >> do do you know how dangerous that is? Like I know you say it's a friend. I'm assuming it's a friend that has no like legitimate intention to do you good because he gave you information to someone that doesn't have that may have warrants. So when whenever you give someone else's information, you don't know what's going on in that other person's life and you could end up going to jail over something that is you could have solved this problem many different other ways. He was charged with two felony counts of identity theft, one felony count of forgery, one felony count of criminal simulation, and one misdemeanor count of possession of methamphetamine. Using someone else's identity to solve a problem only creates bigger consequences that can quickly destroy your freedom. Before moving on to the next shoplifter, take a look at the chaos that unfolded here. >> Why? NOW THEY'RE ARRESTING ME. >> [screaming] >> FOR NO REASON. >> On the 13th of March 2024, police investigated a hit and run after a woman allegedly changed lanes and struck another vehicle. But when officers approached her, she bizarrely acted as if she was the victim instead. >> Hey, how you doing? >> Good. >> Whose vehicle is that? Is that your mom? >> Yes. >> Okay. Is your mom here, too? >> No, she's not. >> Okay. I looked at the video. >> Uh-huh. It's not It's not BENEFITING YOU. >> WHY NOT? HE HIT ME FROM behind if he hit me. >> Ma'am, you're in the other lane. You crossed in front of him. Okay. So, you can't do that. >> Uhhuh. >> All right. So, what I need is your license and insurance to the vehicle >> from for him hitting me from behind. >> I need your information. Now, you left the scene of a crash. We're not going to go down this leaving the scene of a crash. >> Are you being serious right now? >> Being serious. >> Okay. Give me a second. I'm going to shut this door. I have somebody in here. >> I I need >> Okay. Yeah. >> Uhhuh. >> Yeah. >> The woman clearly showed her frustration at the sight of police. Going back inside her house had also been her way of seeking backup because she could not handle the situation on her own. And the moment she returned, everything proved exactly that. >> My the insurance information >> um because he's saying that oh he if if anything he hit me from behind, right? So, why should I give him my insurance information? >> Ma'am, it's a crash. I need all everybody's information. It's being documented. >> Yeah, but that's not what you said when you first left here. Listen. >> Okay. He wants the report. I watched the video. You want to report as well cuz you thought he's at fault. Unfortunately, he is at fault. >> You want to see the video? >> Yeah, I do want to see. >> I got a supervisor come too. They can explain that to you as well. But if you want, you didn't stop and you admitted >> I came from out of there to come into the >> I'm trying to make this simple. Let's not make this difficult trying to make it simple because now you're trying to make it like it was my fault that hit me. Tell your mom come home. She can look at the video. It is your fault. >> Unfortunately, it is your fault. You can't leave one lane and cut in front of somebody. Ma'am behind you. It's not your fault. >> No, no, no. When you cut in front of somebody, you want to see the video? >> I do want to see. >> Okay, I'm bringing it up for you. Come here. Watch. Watch. And if your mom comes home, if your mom comes home, she can watch it and she'll be like, "Oh my god." You pull out. You cross over into the other far lane. He comes up along the side of you. You cut in front of him. There you are. >> He's in the back of me. I DIDN'T EVEN HIT HIM. What are you talking about? >> Where Where's the crash at? >> Everything became unnecessarily tense because even after seeing the evidence with her own eyes, she still refused to believe it. She kept blaming the victim for the very same actions she had done to them herself. >> Yep. >> Trying to make it easy, ma'am. >> You're the one making it. You're one of Videos don't lie. You know I am. YOU KNOW I AM. I'VE NEVER >> VIDEOS DON'T LIE. NOBODY say you're in trouble. Don't do that. >> DON'T MAKE THIS MORE THAN IT NEEDS TO BE. >> YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I MEAN. >> DON'T MAKE IT MORE THAN SPEAK. >> YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I MEAN. >> OKAY. Just have your mom come over. Come on over. She'll She'll see the video. >> Talking to me like that. You're crazy. >> Talk about you're THE POLICE. YOU OUT HERE PROTECTING AND SERVING. YOU DON'T know what's going on. >> Yep. >> That man said he hit me. >> Nope. That man said you hit him. >> Talk to the MAN AT THE GAS STATION. The man at gas station even says the video shows you hitting him. >> You to go look at the video if that's what it says. >> Go get your children. Come on back. Go get your children. Come on back. All right. >> Go inside. >> No. You going to come talk to this [ __ ] >> Yeah. Tell she can show up. She can look at the video. Not even talking to you. >> Okay. No. >> The woman left to pick up her family member despite the serious investigation. And when she returned, backup officers had already arrived. The tension only kept rising. >> I'm going to arrest you. So, come over here and deal with this. No, I'm talking to you. You're 34 year old lady. You're lying. >> It doesn't matter. You want to go to jail. I'm trying to make this simple. It's a simple crash. Don't turn into more than what IT IS. >> YOU ARE. I I didn't even do anything. >> You did? >> NO, I DID NOT. >> VIDEO CLEARLY SHOWS YOU CUT off a man. >> Can I talk to you instead? >> You can talk to the corporal. >> Situation. >> You can talk You can talk to the corporal. >> He's just an officer. >> He saw the video. He's going to tell you the same thing. >> THAT'S NOT EVEN WHAT I'M talking about. Can I talk to somebody else? >> He lied to you. >> Okay. >> Yes, he did. >> No, MY MOM DIDN'T HIT THE man claims you hit. Excuse me. Okay. So, listen. This is what happened. >> This is what happened. I I I was driving my car. I came out of Advanced Auto Park um parking lot. I seen him coming. I was in the right lane. I made a big U-turn to come back into the um parking lot right here. Uh he So, um at that point, I didn't know if anybody had hit me or not. He was behind me. He wasn't in front of me, on the side of me, anything like that. You understand? So then I kept going and I stopped a little bit and then he kept following me. >> I understand you're listen I'm standing right here. >> I understand. So listen try not to yell at me. >> Listen. So so so my my issue is I didn't I didn't know that if he hit me or not and I didn't really know what was going on. >> This was 20's headache to begin with. >> She tried to manipulate the officers attempting to steer attention toward the male victim but it failed completely as the police already knew exactly what to do at that point. What? I'm not doing anything to you. >> I'm being very nice and polite. I'm being very nice and polite. >> I'm not doing anything to you. >> You need to give your information to this officer. >> The last time >> I'm not. He's in my face. Mom, >> I'm talking to you. >> He's in my face. He tells me go get my ID. Now he don't want my ID. Now he wants me to spell my name. What else do you want me to do? >> Just spell your name. Give me your full name. It's that simple. >> All right, let's let's go. Let's do this. >> THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING. WHY? NOW THEY'RE arresting me. MOM, give us one out here. Send their unit. We got one. Who's this? >> He's Batman. Leo. >> Get off my mom. Bro, >> you don't have to call me in front of my kids, dog. I didn't even understand. >> How many times did we give you an opportunity to give your identification? >> Maria, get off me. >> Grandma's already on the phone. [screaming] >> And where is she at? >> Hey. Hey. >> Why are you doing this? Please, please, please let me go. No. No. Please. No. Please. >> Bro, you're hurting my wrist, bro. >> Nobody's hurting you. >> Bro, you're hurting my wrist, bro. very civil and tried to cooperate with you. >> Jesus. >> Oh my god. >> Come on. You made You're making this worse than what it is. You've made this worse than You made it worse all the way around. >> I'm not even fighting you. >> Get in. Have a seat. >> Oh my god. Did you break my tooth? >> You made this worse than what that needed to be. >> You pushed me. >> Move your feet. >> You pushed me, bro. >> The woman's ego was clearly very strong. And once she realized she could not avoid responsibility, she shifted into a combative stance, trying to argue and win against the very victim she had hit. >> Is he going to jail? What did he do? Is he going to jail? >> Can you answer my question, please? Please. Why is he going to jail though? >> Wait, but he What do you mean officers? >> Wait, what? But he >> he tried to run through officers. Can't be doing that. He's 16, bro. He's never seen ME GO TO JAIL. I'VE NEVER BEEN TO JAIL, BRO. >> I UNDERSTAND, BUT he made a bad decision. >> Are y'all serious right now? >> Just face. >> Oh my god. >> Diana. >> Are you serious? >> Excuse me. >> Why would y'all do this? Seriously? >> You have anything in here? >> I There's a black and mild in there. Are you serious? Are you serious right now? This man called me and said that he hit my car. >> This is crazy. >> Put that around you then talk to us. Okay. >> Are you okay? >> Yeah. >> Bro, listen. >> The woman was charged with leaving the scene of a crash and resisting without violence along with careless driving. Her actions show how denial and ego can escalate a simple incident into serious legal consequences. Accepting responsibility early and cooperating with officers prevents situations from spiraling into arrest and additional charges. What do you think about cases like this? Next up, a shoplifter who stayed shockingly calm even after being caught red-handed as if confidence. >> I've got to talk to my friend who is paralyzed. He's the one mother. On February 28th, 2025, officers rushed to a Walmart in Carbondale after reports of shoplifting. Kelsey was caught stuffing items into bags without scanning. Surveillance caught it all. Now watch how she tries to justify the unjustifiable. >> Hi. >> Hi. >> They didn't tell me. They told me I was speaking with them about the reaction. I guess it needs to be speedy. as well. >> Yeah. Yeah. I'm working a detail today specifically for shoplifting, retail thefts and whatnot. So, we'll >> I'm going to get your information and then we're going to go from there. Okay. >> 2012 go with my [ __ ] friend right in the wheelchair. >> Say that again. >> I get to go with my crippled friend that's in the wheelchair. Right. >> Well, let's get your name and information first and go ahead take a seat for me. Do you have an ID on you? Yes. >> At first, she appeared calm and cooperative, acting as if she had nothing to fear because she'd done nothing wrong. But soon, she began using her disabled friend as an excuse for everything. >> So, we saw we thought to be concealment and electronics, but we didn't have confirmation on it. We saw concealment again and pets. Didn't have confirmation. Couldn't see the product actually entering the bag. please. >> Uh whenever she got to the SCOS, we watched her scan a few items and then put everything else into bags uh without ringing it up. Once she exited her last point of sale, so we made the stop and then uh we just filtered through the receipts that she did have for the stuff uh that we washed her just put directly in the bag, pulled it off the shelf, putting the bag and uh they're getting the trainer receipt right now from it. >> Okay. There wasn't anything taken directly estimated amount. So, I just talked to uh and he told me that it's at least over $300. >> Walmart staff reported that the stolen merchandise was estimated to be worth over $300 and a detailed list of fake receipts was being printed out. Confronted with the evidence, Kelsey still tried to come up with clever, seemingly reasonable excuses. >> The machine that I rang most of my stuff up with, they said that it wasn't cash, that it was card. So, by the time we went back over there, whenever she did that, I didn't have time to ring up anything else in my cart. >> But you had eight items on your receipt and you had way over more eight items. So, you should have known. >> And I and I could have >> But you didn't. >> If I could have done it with No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Ma'am, let me talk. >> No, you're going to stand up. >> Let me talk. Turn around. Turn around. Am I going with you? >> Come on. We need to talk and figure some stuff out, but you're not going to talk over us right now. Okay. >> Okay. I'm not telling the truth. >> Okay. Well, they have video of everything, so that'll make it easy. >> Face the wall for me. >> All right. Kelsey, you want to take a seat for? >> Mhm. >> So, Kelsey, you are under arrest for retail theft. Okay, they have the itemized receipt and it looks like it was over $500. All right, so that is a felony amount. So, you will be going back to the police station with me. Okay. >> Kelsey was handcuffed on the spot. The actual amount stolen totaled over $500. When she learned she'd be held in jail over the weekend, that calm demeanor quickly turned into agitation. >> Been at the police station where probably to jail >> for the weekend? >> Most likely. Yeah. This is a felony arrest. I know, but I don't have any of my medication or anything. >> Okay, I'll notify the jail. Do you have EpiPen? Is that correct? >> No, it's not EpiPen. I take like 30 minutes. Okay. >> Okay. I've got to talk to my I've got to talk to my friend >> who is paralyzed. He's going about to be the one to go to my house. >> Okay. Well, we'll get in contact with him, right? >> Yes. So, what made this all of a sudden me being in jail all weekend? >> Because this is a felony. Nope. Sit down, friend. Can I put my paper? Um, don't mother. Okay. >> You just broke my thumb. >> Oh, no. All right. What did you want to put in there? >> My receipt. Okay, I'll put in there. Wait. >> She claimed to be the victim, panicking over her medication and blaming officers for being rough. But that act fell apart fast when her long history of theft came to light. events, but it's not her first time. >> She stole $4,000. She just breached a trespass. That's another charge. >> I think a lot of criminal trespass is 3,900. >> So, is that like all the Walmarts together? Is that just branch or >> trespass really? I need to talk to him about my medicine. >> Okay, we'll get your medicine. >> No, you guys don't in Murphy'sboro and then you don't ever give it to me and then I seize for nothing but an hour a week straight. Can you tell me? >> She kept begging to speak with Jim, claiming she needed her medication and had to talk in person since he had no phone. But officers soon discovered Jim was also banned from Walmart, making her excuse even weaker. He has no phone. I have to speak to him verbal to verbal. >> Is that guy that was with her? He also has prior too with Walmart. He also is trespass. >> Okay. Um I don't know if the man is paralyzed. I mean, he was moved. >> Do you want me to try to find him? >> He's at He was at the service desk. >> I wasn't caught shifting. I was trying to use the machine. It was broken. That's why I had to take it to the card reader. Don't work. I used a scan gun. If your scan gun is not working when you pull the trigger and is right over the bars, that is not my fault. >> On the way to jail, Kelsey insisted she didn't mean to steal, blaming a broken scanner. Moments later, she collapsed from chest pain and began seizing, forcing officers to call for emergency medical aid immediately. See, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say, Kelsey, you awake. Here you go. Why don't you sit up for me? Okay. Blue. Finally, Kelsey was officially charged with felony retail theft and criminal trespassing as she had already been banned from Walmart for prior offenses. Her attempt to play the victim only deepened her troubles, turning a petty theft into a serious criminal case. >> So, tell me what happened yesterday with all that. >> Sir, seriously, >> some [ __ ] >> I do. >> No. On the 16th of July 2023, police received a report from a Ross store about a theft that had occurred days earlier. The suspects had allegedly returned in the exact same vehicle. When officers arrived at the scene, they quickly began verifying everything with the loss prevention employee. >> Wow. >> Uh short version is I was just walking in just, you know, and I was actually just by their car. Didn't they parked right where you parked? >> Okay. I saw them running out. Did not identify myself or anything, but I was right by the car. Um, and somebody get out of his way and shoot me. So I a picture. >> Yeah. Okay. >> All right. And do we have video of them? We literally just >> Okay. Yeah. >> Sounds good. >> That's her, right? >> I think so. It's 149. >> They may have already been in this door collecting stuff. >> Is that him right there? Okay. [ __ ] cross. >> Yeah, I think so. Yes. Yeah, that's >> At the same time, another team of officers blocked the vehicle linked to the theft in the parking lot and immediately took action before the suspects could flee for a second time. >> Man. Hey, I'm Corporal Mask. Police Department. All right. Come and chat with me real quick. >> Hey, man. Can you just have a seat on my bumper, please? Turn around. Put your hands behind your back for me. Hey, man. Are you just being detained right now? >> What is he being detained for? >> Both of you guys are being detained right now. >> Me? >> What did I do? >> Put your hands together. Hey, man. Put your hands together. Hey, fingers together. Palms together. I'll pick up your cigarette. I promise. Drop your cigarette. Palms together. >> Hey, I I will tell you here in a sec. Put your palms together, sir. Don't >> No, they aren't. Put your palms together. >> Put the [ __ ] things on, bro. >> Hey, put your fingers, man. Place your fingers. >> You still going to You trying to I'm not trying to me, bro. >> I can't get my palms up, bro. Chill. I didn't. That's all you have to >> Brandon. Stop it. >> Brandon, it's going to be real quick. We'll let you know what's going on. Okay. >> And then we're going to be out of these puffs, right? >> We got to explain to you what's going on and why you're being detained. Okay. >> What are you doing? >> Hey, man. Hey. Right now, you're being detained cuz your vehicle and you were involved in a theft yesterday at Ross here in the city of Kirkland. Okay. Okay. Do you have any uh weapons on you? >> No. >> Okay. Any anything sharp that's going to poke stick me? >> No. >> Okay. Turn around. I've seen >> Clearly, the man did not seem shocked by the accusations at all, and he suddenly went silent for a moment, as if he was already thinking about his next excuse to make things more difficult. >> You're not free to leave, but you're not under arrest. I am detaining you. >> For what? >> Okay. So, yesterday, >> yeah, >> a mail matching your description. >> Can you get my letter? Can I get my cigarette? >> Yeah. Hey, how many mills rest my money pony? Get the [ __ ] out of here, bro. Let me explain. Let me explain. Hey, >> I'm going to explain it all to you, but you got to let me explain to you. >> Can I get Can I get my light? >> Yeah, >> I got a light. We don't have issues. >> Hey, I'm willing to work with you on this. >> Got a red light. >> Chill. Chill. >> Hey, I will explain everything to you, but you got to chill for me. Okay, Brandon. Okay. Where's your lighter? >> Give my light. No, it >> don't work. Give me my other one. >> So, you're saying you had this vehicle yesterday? It wasn't in the city at all? Your car? >> No, yesterday. >> No, I was dropping my kids off at camp. >> Yes, it was in the city yesterday. >> The car was? >> Yes, because uh my friend who's in the store right now um came here to get groceries. [clears throat] >> Was he with your friend yesterday or was it just your friend in the car? >> It was just my friend in the car. >> Your car? >> No, it was not. >> Whose car is her car? >> Her car. >> Okay. >> So, you're you're saying that out of here, man. Hey, Brent doing [ __ ] bro. Driving that car. You got me up. Hey. Hey. I'm tattoo artist, bro. I do tattoos. >> I appreciate that. >> I get bred for doing with this right here on your arm. I look like And I'm not high. >> Both of them denied having anything to do with the theft, but they had no idea the police already had photographic evidence. Just watch how they reacted when it was shown to them. >> Tell you that right now. >> Okay. Let me show you the picture. Hey, and then you tell me. You tell me if I'm lying. >> Okay. Okay, I'll show you the picture yesterday. Okay, and then you tell me if I'm lying. All right, >> let's see. >> How many blueing Taho are there >> out there? Get the out of here, bro. >> Hang on. Hang on. You got light. >> Hey, >> check this out. How many blue Taho have the same license plate sticker on them, bro? Right. So, >> that wasn't our car. >> That is your card. I'm looking at it, man. >> If it is, they got the wrong car. >> Katie was driving yesterday. Remember? >> Chill. So, right now you're being detained while I investigate this cuz the car was using some. >> All right. >> Can I get my light, babe? >> You got a light form? Is this the lighter? >> Yeah, but it won't light. I need a jump start. >> Hey, why don't you go see if you can find him a lighter over there? She'll let you get a lighter. >> So, you're saying you were in this car yesterday? >> No, I wasn't. >> Okay. You said you're dropping the kids off and >> Yeah, I dropped the kids off and got >> Okay. Not your car. Car? >> Yeah. >> Hey, Gy, why don't you stand with him real quick for me? Okay. You say your car was involved in a theft here in the city of Kirkland. So, let's go with you saying, "Hey, it's not him or it's not Brandon. It's not you." So, who was it? >> My friend that's in the store probably. She took my car yesterday. >> She has She I can't >> One, two, three. I'll take one more here, please. >> I don't want um I'm not going down for something that she did. >> Yeah, she did. And I'll tell you what. Well, he he's giving me a bunch of lip. I'm going to show you the proof that it was your vehicle, okay? And you can tell me if I'm lying. How's that sound? Hey, is that your car with the [ __ ] around sticker and the same license plate right here? >> So, >> yeah. So, right now, you guys are my theft suspects, right? Until I know otherwise. >> Well, she's in the store right now getting her medicine, but I don't want to be known that I told that it wasn't it was her, not me. >> Okay. She a big bigger gal. >> The man completely denied the vehicle while the woman blamed her friend instead, only raising more suspicion. Meanwhile, officers had already approached the friend she mentioned. >> Right now, Right now, you're detained because yesterday you had possession of the vehicle that's out there. That's your friend's car. Yesterday, >> I had possession of the car. Oh, you know, like I've been on my deathbed, right? Like, >> I mean, death bed or not, you match the exact video footage of a theft that occurred at Ross yesterday in our city with that car and you talking to the lost prevention officer. I'm sure you remember it. So, I just want you to be honest and tell me what happened. >> Talking to a loss prevention officer. >> Yeah. on your way out. I don't think you realize you false production. >> So, tell me what happened yesterday with all that. >> Sir, seriously? >> Yeah. >> I honestly I'm very shamed right now. I don't think >> But can I please at least get my prescriptions? Cuz if you're going to take me to jail, I at least can at least >> Yeah, we we'll work through that. But talk to me about yesterday. >> I just said I'm ashamed of what happened. I know you're super happy. So, what what happened to all the merchandise you stole from Ross yesterday? >> Is it still in the car? This is just a lot right now. >> I know it's a lot. >> This is a lot. >> So, it turned out the woman in red had been telling the truth the entire time. She was eventually cleared of any involvement while she also revealed more information about the man. >> I'm going to tell you something right now. Like I told him, he does not have a good background of police being nice. Okay. Racial profiling, racism. It's >> Well, but today he's already lied to me because he did commit a crime and he was the one who committed a crime in our city. So, he had this chance to be honest with me then about it, right? So, >> yeah, but he doesn't need to go to jail either. He's he's out of he's on Suboxin. Okay. He's out of his meds. His appointment's tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. If we miss that, he's screwed. Well, we'll go chat and we'll see how honest he is with me >> because he's not going to be honest with you. >> And just like the woman had warned earlier, even after both [music] women admitted everything, the man still refused to face the truth. >> The gal who was also involved in this theft yesterday, right? And >> wasn't [ __ ] >> What do you think she told me about the theft yesterday? >> I don't think she was involved in >> Okay. What the you guys talking about? Probably got drunk cars on. >> Okay. If you're not going to be honest with me and giving this chance here, then today you're going to jail. >> Be honest for what? You want me to do about the theft yesterday? >> Say I broke the law so you could take me to jail. No, >> I already know you broke the law. Brandon, >> say you got me theft. >> You got the wrong car. You let me alone. Leave me out of it. >> Let's pay him out searching. All right, Brandon, you're under arrest yesterday for theft. You >> okay? Cuz you committed theft yesterday here in our city. So step out here. >> I do. >> No. Okay, >> babe. Give me my phone. I'll be calling you. >> Bail me the out. >> Babe, you might just get fingerprinted photograph. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. Okay. >> The woman was charged with theft. While Brandon was also arrested for participating in the Ross theft, even when the evidence and confessions were already stacked against him, some people still believe denying reality would somehow save them, only making the consequences even worse in the end. Next, the couple believed that lying could truly replace the truth. >> Okay, you're being detained. >> Why? >> Possible shoplifting. >> I ain't nothing I ain't got nothing on me. >> No, I'm just holding your pants, so you can't run on me. People run on me all day. On the 13th of September 2025, police were dispatched to Walmart after receiving a report of a shoplifting incident. The suspect was believed to be a woman who had fled into the parking lot. Here was what happened when officers approached her. >> We got to Yep. That's fine. We got to talk to you. Okay. >> You have any ID on you? >> No. What's your name? >> What is it? Your >> what? Have you seen my boyfriend? >> Your boyfriend? Uh, I have not seen him. My stuff is not stolen. >> Where's the where's the buggy at? >> It's in the store. >> Like where where in the store? >> I don't know. >> You don't know? Didn't you have the buggy last? >> Who? >> You. >> He did leave the buggy with me about like in the middle of the store line. >> The woman denied the theft and shifted all responsibility and the items onto her boyfriend. At that moment, officers made a decision regarding her in order to continue the investigation. >> Okay, you're being detained. Why? possible shoplifting, but you're just being detained. Okay. You're not under arrest yet. All right. Just drop that bag for me. Just drop that back. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Have a seat in here. >> Why? >> We're going to go over there. >> Am I going to get to see him? >> You may. >> Oh, am I being locked up? >> Well, you I told you you're being detained right now. and we're we're investigating shoplifting here. Okay. >> So, you pick me at that? >> Oh, I don't know. I can't tell you what. I have I have not looked at video or anything like that. >> Shortly after, they spotted the boyfriend she had mentioned, but his appearance was filled with suspicious evasiveness. Hold >> on. You got an ID on you? >> No, I ain't got nothing. I ain't >> How? >> Oh, I ain't got my ID on me. >> What's your name? >> Mark. Why you say that? >> What happened? Why you pull up on >> right now? Because we got to complain about you. >> You want to check my bag, man? I ain't Come on. We'll get to that in a second. What's your last name? Mark >> Young, man, >> that's crazy. >> So, you're out with Mark Young. >> I ain't take nothing. >> What's your birthday, Mr. Young? >> Girlfriend. >> No, I didn't get >> Mr. Young. What's your birthday? >> What's your birthday? >> All right. Well, if it's a misunderstanding, we'll get to it. All right. I've got you on camera right here. Is Mark going to >> Is Marion going to be your actual name? >> Hey, why you say that? I ain't do I ain't doing that. I ain't one car. >> I know they're coming. Mark, do me a favor. You're not >> saying please don't arrest. You're not arrested. I ain't do nothing. >> You may not have done anything. >> I know, but please I ain't I ain't did [ __ ] man. Look, I ain't did nothing. Please, >> I gave it to you. I'm busy right now. I have to wait. >> Man, I ain't did nothing. >> You're not in trouble. >> All right. >> What? >> I ain't did nothing. I ain't got nothing on me. >> No, I'm just holding your pants so you can't run on me. People ran on me all day. >> But [ __ ] I don't remember. You embarrassing me, bro. >> I don't want to try to embarrass you. All right. Any weapons on you? >> No, man. >> Take this belt off. Pull your arm out. All right. Pull your arm out. Pull your arm out. >> Bro, I don't do no [ __ ] like that. >> Pull this arm out. >> I ain't do nothing. >> Like I said, you're not in trouble right now. But please turn that way. Turn like I like I see. You just said you just said I'm not >> I didn't say you're under arrest. You're being detained, but that does not mean >> you're not under arrest. I do not want to spray you or tase you. >> I know, but please, bro, I ain't getting nothing. >> Like I said, you're not in trouble yet. Please, man. This [ __ ] is crazy. I didn't even ass. >> Right after the man was taken back to the loss prevention office and from there officers uncovered multiple truths about what he had done. >> I see I ain't going to lie to you. I'm not I ain't got >> Did you order this? >> Huh? >> Did you order this? >> Yeah. >> Where's your receipt? >> No, I didn't mean to get I didn't I >> got a plate. >> I swear to God. >> All right. Stand up real fast. Let me check you >> cuz you got some items I notic in your pocket right here. What's >> I just I just smoke. I ain't I ain't got nothing else. It ain't nothing in it. It's going to be one bowl. That's all. That's That's a bowl. I don't I >> What kind? >> All right. We'll get to that, man. Cuz I don't have gloves. >> Not the piping itself. >> During the investigation, both were confirmed to have placed multiple items into bags and a cart inside the store. And at that point, their guilt was established, and they were escorted outside. All right. >> You sit more sideways. It's more comfortable. >> She ain't never got >> this. This right here. Get >> hot, man. We haven't searched his bag. Good. >> What bag? >> In there. His backpack. >> You got to go with us. >> Yeah. >> If you don't search and bring it out here, bring it. >> All right. Have a seat for me. This is his Corvette hat, too. Fell off. >> Okay. Corvette hat. The woman was charged with retail theft, shoplifting, and could face an additional accomplice charge. The man was charged with retail theft, providing false information to police, and was suspected of possessing drug paraphernalia, blaming others, and lying to avoid responsibility only made the situation worse [music] as the truth was still uncovered through evidence and investigation. Next, the man failed after believing he had successfully escaped. >> I don't have a buggy. >> So, okay. Okay. So, you came out of the store with it with the >> No, I did not come out of the store with it. >> Were you by the doors? >> No, I wasn't. >> So, um originally we saw him select the Hennessy and um he put the Hennessy two in the bags and then two outside of the cart. >> On May 9th, 2025, officers received a report from Walmart about a man who fled after stealing a cart full of unpaid merchandise. As soon as they arrived on scene, the suspect immediately realized what was happening and instantly denied everything. It's >> two. I'm out with it. >> I didn't. >> Stay right where you're at. Get back in the car. >> Get back in the car. Now >> you can get back in the car. Roll the window down till my backup gets here. >> Shut the door like I told you to. Please. >> Now they say they have you on video of concealing items. So we're going to >> I didn't realize I didn't have my wallet on me with my uh >> So you've walked out without some with some items they haven't paid for it, right? >> I did walk out with it. >> Where's it all at? >> They pushed it out the door. Told me to come pay for it. I said I don't have the money. >> It's okay. And so you came out of the store with it with the >> No, I did not come out the store with it. >> Were you by the doors? >> No, I wasn't. >> Where were you at when you were with the cart? >> Right at the register. I was with my mom. I didn't have the money. >> All right. >> Well, we're going to figure out what's going on here. Just sit tight until my backup gets here and we'll figure it out. We're going to look on the video and we're going to see if you're lying to me. >> I didn't have the money. >> I realized I didn't have a wallet with me. >> Okay. So, where like So, when you came you you said you didn't push out the door. >> I'm not pushing out the door. So, where did you push out the money? So you pushed it to where? Like the exit way to get out or whatever. >> Yes, I wait on the launcher. She only wanted it. I didn't take it out the door. >> Okay. >> That would be stealing. >> Well, going past the last point of purchase. Going past the cash registers. That's >> And I pulled it up to the side of my mom. >> Going past the cash registers. That is the last point of purchase. That's a retail. It doesn't matter. >> What do you mean retail theft? How's that retail theft? >> I'll explain all to you in a minute, but right now you're being detained. You're not free to leave. It was clear that the man's statements were full of inconsistencies and even his attitude showed irritation at being accused like that, forcing the officers to explain the situation. >> You have every option to pay for it. That's where the cash register was at, right? >> I did not take it. >> Do you have an ID on you? >> Yes, I do. >> Let me see your ID, please. >> Oh, I did not tell you. >> He's trying to explain to me. >> No, but >> I should get over messing with you. >> I didn't say you're going to jail. I said if you cooperate with me, you won't go to jail. Okay. I'm not going to give you a law lesson right now, but when you're in a store and you have stuff with you, you pay for it before you go further from that. When you don't, you go past that, they say you're stealing from them and that's why you get a retail theft. You can tell to the judge. I'm I'm not being a jerk. I'm just telling you if you go past the cash registers with stuff and then say, "Oh, I forgot to pay for it." >> Yeah. >> That doesn't make sense, right? >> All right, sir. What I'm going to do is I'm going to get you out. I'm going put you in handcuffs. If you give me any problems whatsoever, I promise you're going to have a problem. Okay? You understand what I'm saying? Step outside and face that way. Hands behind your back for me, please, sir. >> Yes, sir. >> I said, as long as you cooperate, you won't. Okay. Got it. >> So, so far you've been cooperating. I understand you're a little upset. I get it. I deal with this. We're here out here every shift, every day. >> Make sure this thing double locks so it doesn't lock up on you. Well, you told me you you went and pulled over to the side after because you figured you didn't have to pay for it, but you should have paid for it before you got to that point. >> I was going to ask my mom to borrow some money and she wouldn't leave. >> Okay. Do you have any anything on you? I should know about any knives, drugs, >> I got >> needles, nothing. >> At that point, officers had temporarily detained the man to prevent any second attempt to flee. But that did not mean he admitted guilt as he continued insisting on his innocence. >> You decide you want to fight or something like that, I promise you. I I know. I'm just giving everyone every benefit of the doubt cuz I don't want people to say that I lied to them. Watch your knee, man. >> Huh? >> My mom's attention. >> Yeah. Just so you know, you have the right to remain silent. Do you understand your rights? >> All right. Yeah. I'm going to write you a ticket and you're I'm going to release you from here, but I have to see what's on the video first in the security office. So, Officer Bean is going to come over here and stand with you while I go in and check that out. And you're not lying to me, right? This is your last chance. You're not lying to me. Uh, can you just stand with him and I'll go in and look at the video and stuff? >> Okay. All right. >> Shortly after, the suspect was taken back to the store to verify the story with the staff. And from there, all of his actions were fully exposed through the surveillance footage. >> Hey, >> how's it going? >> Good. All righty. >> Still recording just so everyone knows. >> So, um, originally we saw him select the Hennessy and, um, he put the Hennessy two in the bag and then two outside of the cart. >> And then he goes to auto where he selects this jack down here. And then he's looking around quite a bit. So, we continue to follow. Then he gets up to the front and he meets up with this lady that apparently was with him. And they go to the checkouts. She checks out her stuff and he just hangs behind her. And then he tries to walk out but sees me starting to come up. So he leaves the cart and then walks out. >> So he was past the cash registers. >> Past the cash registers. This is where he put his cart. >> Ditched the cart right here when he saw Anthony like he was heading out the door. >> Okay. >> And he had >> he admitted to being past the cash registers. >> He's like I didn't steal anything. Yeah, you did. You went past the l the cash registers. >> And then he had them bagged up like this. And then it's a bunch of stakes and a bunch of kind of seats. I'm surprised we haven't dealt Maybe I've just seen them in your micro. I think um >> he's just shopping at his mom. >> Yeah, we're going to go ahead and trespass him cuz I believe that's over. I'm pretty >> uh so I'll get that written up for you real quick. >> I'll I'll be right back. >> All right. So, I saw all the stuff that you you had that you didn't pay for. Uh just going to write you a ticket. I'm going to cut you loose. They're going to they're going to criminally trespass you from here, which means you can't go back on any Walmart anywhere. They have I mean, face recognition cameras and stuff. So, as soon as you walk in the door at any Walmart, they'll know you're there. So, so don't do that. Okay? Let me get this written out and get the paperwork and you'll be out of here. >> It did not stopped there because shortly after officers discovered that the man was linked to similar incidents, even involving the same methods and items. So, they returned to the store to investigate further. [snorts] >> Says he's been in Poria before, but he's never gotten in trouble. >> Yeah, I'd say no. Looks similar. >> Do you care if I ask him? >> Yeah, you can. Just say we got you on video on this date about gonna get a copy of that criminal trespass. >> Well, he got from our store before. Remember that? But previously, >> no, I know you're not coming back here, but you know what I'm talking about, though. >> Okay. >> January 25th, they got you on video >> in Morton, which is it's February, >> stealing the exact same stuff. Liquor, the steak, and the thing. never had this hat. But what about literally you had like the same mark? >> It's just >> Well, you could lose weight. This was a month ago. Four months ago. So, you're going to say that's not you. >> Okay. So, when we look up the car and all that? >> I don't know. >> I don't have a car. Well, I definitely think that it's you. So, we'll figure that part out. But >> obviously, it's up to them. But, I mean, the evidence is right there. >> You're not going to go to jail for this. But if you're lying about this too, then I'm going to send you obstructing charges, too. >> So if if it is you, tell them. If it's not, then that's so be it. >> So So I'm going to get you your your ticket here. It just says that you're going to go to court Monday, 2nd of June, Taz County. >> And then this is them banning you from all Walmarts. You can't come back at all. I just have to say it cuz I'm bad. >> In the end, the man was issued a court date and released shortly after. He now faced a retail theft charge and a criminal case. A single dishonest decision, no matter how small it seemed, could quickly spiral into serious legal consequences that were far harder to escape.
