That's mine. I already sold 500. >> Yeah, we don't sell those here, so it's okay. >> Where's the full [ __ ] 500? >> 500? >> No, 500 each. >> On the 11th of October 2025, police received a report from Walmart about a theft that had taken place with the suspects believed to be a group of three women. As soon as officers arrived at the scene, all of them were taken to the loss prevention room. Here was what happened next. >> Yeah, he had a guy before he came. You can take the camera in my bag. That's mine. >> Put them together like your frame. >> Y makes it easier. my bed. >> Yeah. And I got >> Yeah. And my my mama in the car, she had a stroke. She can't even drive. >> One of the other people over there. >> No. Yes. about a party today. >> So, we came out here today. >> We just got here like 45 hours. >> It It came from a kid. That's mine. I already sold here. >> Yeah, we don't sell those here. So, it's okay. >> All of them denied any theft, even with the evidence right in front of them. But suspicion grew that they had planned it from the start when police discovered that none of them had any ID. >> Okay. So, she's never been issued an ID at all. Never. Never had a license today. Like, is she going to get papers to get out? Yeah, I'm pretty sure like on possibly like do you guys know like the amount that it could possibly be? >> It depends. I mean sometimes it'll be like no I don't like it depends. It depends on your criminal history. It depends on your attorney. It depends on the judge. You need to like out 500 m. >> And with the uh company like the 2%. >> Yes. >> Really? >> So how much that's going to be for all of us? The same price? >> Possibly. >> Possibly. It depends on your criminal history and what they charge. >> Never been to jail. You ever been arrested? No. >> For what? Uh, >> anything to do with uh retail that or any kind of this is my first time ever [ __ ] bro. >> Even though their guilt had become clear by that point. These suspects showed no shame at all. They did not seem to care about what they had done, only about their appearance. >> Describe what they were wearing. >> Yes. Or the purple shirt and green jacket. Take care. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. They got to take it off over there, right? Take off your hair over there. >> Oh my. I don't have no more glue. What I'm going to do? >> They're going to take it off. They got to take it off. >> They going to see some raggly braids on here. So, we going to take my ponytail out too. other people you guys have to get my wig back at you. >> You don't stay here in Florida? >> No. No. You've never been here? We have. We went to Kazini. It's >> my second time actually. Where's your family live at? >> No, no, no. But who are you coming to visit here? >> Oh, in Orange City. >> Orange City. Where? >> Huh? Where? >> Oh, no. That was a birthday party. I'm not coming for >> In fact, this shoplifting group did not only include these shameless adults, but also other members who were not even capable of taking responsibility. And at that point, they used that person as an excuse, as if it would change anything. My baby ain't have no and he been nothing. Y'all heard him cry. >> Let me just do this instead. >> I was going to cuss, but don't mistake. >> How old's your baby? How old is he? Like 4 months. >> He's tiny. >> So depending on like what you have, would it have to be different or like you say you have like a lot? >> A lot a lot. I think it's the amount that changes the charge. It's $750 or more per felony in the state court. >> What we only had about $10. >> It's still dismissing me regarding that. It could be $150, but the problem here is that you're out of state. And usually like if you say you had no criminal history, nothing bad. or Florida, you have a address here that you obviously live here. We would give you a it's called a notice to appear, meaning we'll release you on site, but you still had to show up to court at another date. But since you're out of state, unfortunately, we just can't do that. But we got to go like even even say that that went like that and it was a notice to appear. If you don't show up to court, people think it's like, oh, some people think it's like, oh, okay, I got released. I don't care. I'll forget about situations. It doesn't work. When you don't show up to court, you get a warrant off your arrest. >> A damn long drive 12 hours to come to court. >> So now what's going to happen? Once you get prosecu >> These suspects realized they were not going to escape the consequences of what they had done. And soon after they grew visibly anxious, repeatedly asking about how much they would have to pay. >> You got to pay full amount. >> But what about the jail? >> The jail? That's the same thing. >> The full amount >> probably. >> Where's the full amount? [ __ ] $500. 500. >> No, 500 each. >> $500. >> You can't just pay for what they see. >> That's not up to me. >> That's That's We're already past that point. >> Trust me. I was trying to give them a notice up here, but since they're all out of state, there's nothing I can do. >> Yeah. cuz it's petty theft. But >> but either way, since y'all from out of state, the hospital just got >> Did you talk to the bondsman? >> Yeah, I just >> Oh, that's you have to pay the whole thing. >> Yeah. >> Do they take anything as collateral? >> Like what? >> He got a car under him. Is it paid off? >> No. I don't know. I was just thinking >> collateral will be things like your car registration. >> Ultimately, the group was charged with petite theft and issued trespass warnings banning them from returning to that Walmart. A quick crime can turn into lasting consequences and excuses will never erase the price of bad choices. >> You understand each of those rights? >> I want to. >> You do not. >> Screw the out of you cuz I'm suing the sheriff department as it is right now. So, I suggest you call the sheriff. On the 23rd of May 2025, officers on a routine patrol spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen. They quickly conducted a traffic stop, but it seemed there were still many secrets behind it. This was what happened next. >> Offic County Police Department. >> Okay. >> The reason I'm stopping you guys is this is a stolen car. >> Do what? >> Yeah. >> I just bought this. >> You just bought it? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You got your driver's license with you? >> I did not. Uh my person. >> You left your purse at home? >> I can tell you the name. >> Yeah, absolutely. Go ahead and hop out for me real quick. All right, >> we're we're just going to get you to step out. It's a stolen vehicle. We'll work it out. >> No, no, hop back. Hop back. >> It's reported stolen. >> Hop back here for me. You don't need your dog. You >> Yeah, I got you. >> All right. Back here for me. Okay. >> You just bought the car? Yeah. >> Okay. Do you have the bill of sale with you? >> No. She The lady told me that I had to go to the DMV >> to get the bill of sale. >> Yeah. And the tag and all that. >> Do you have the title? No, she well she said that she was going to send it to me. >> So I guess walk me through this transaction. >> Yeah, I just this is the first time I bought this like a car. Um >> literally I met her on marketplace on Facebook and she said that we I gave her the money and she said that um she's going to meet me sometime tomorrow for the title. >> Okay. Your puppy's really cute. Can I pet your puppy? He's really cute. that. So, I thought maybe Monday. >> I got you. So, since I want to ask you questions about this, okay, obviously you're not free to leave right now. It's showing us I'm going to read you your rights real quick. Okay. Does not mean you're under under arrest. It just means that I want to talk to you about it. Okay. Do you understand each of those rights? >> I want to lower. >> You do not. >> The woman remained completely calm through it all, even smiling as if she believed she had convinced the officers with her excuse. And although she appeared cooperative, she still made everything more tense. Okay. You don't want to talk about it at all? >> I just want to see what the hell's going on. >> That's what I'm trying to figure out. And the only way I can do that is by talking with you. >> Yeah. >> And so, but you just told me you don't want to talk. >> Well, I obviously want a lawyer at all times. But, um, also like if I you ask me a question, then I answer it, but I want a lawyer. >> Okay. So, you don't want to talk to me? >> I mean, yeah. I mean, um, am I under arrest? You said no. Um, >> you're not afraid to leave, right? You're detained because of car stolen. >> Exactly. >> Okay. >> I'm trying to figure out if there's >> Yeah, I just told you. >> So, um, am I under arrest? Yes or no? Or >> like, uh, the car stolen? So, what do we do from here? But I go to jail or no? >> I'm trying to figure that out. Okay. Sometimes >> I'd like to know because just because you're going to be >> Okay, here's what we're going to go with. Okay. >> I'm trying to explain this to you. Okay. I don't know if you're not picking up on it or what's going on. Okay. So, >> sometimes people >> cars get reported stolen. Okay. And it's a civil issue. Like it >> that's what I'm trying to figure out right now. Okay. Is your side of things as to why >> this >> what's going on. Okay. >> Yeah. >> If you don't want to talk to me, that's okay. It's 100% you're right. >> However, I'm trying to figure out >> like what the hell did this lady? cuz she still does she sell me a damn stolen guard >> and ask a lawyer or >> like what the hell? >> Okay, so do you want to talk to me or not? >> Okay. >> Clearly in her position, the woman showed no sign of worry about the situation and her attitude raised even more suspicion. Even the details of the car transaction remained completely vague. >> 2500. >> So you bought it for $2,500. >> Cash? Yeah. >> Cash. Okay. Can you kind of walk me around the whole like interaction of everything? >> Yeah. uh seen it on Facebook and I messaged her and said that um I was interested in it. We set up a time and place to meet. Okay. >> And literally I like the car and I gave her the money for it. >> When did you buy it? >> Yesterday. >> You got it yesterday. From where? >> I got it from Greenville. >> From Green Greenville. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I was coming down here. >> Do you guys live here? >> Yeah. I have family here. >> You live here? >> Is this No, you blew out of me. You were pulling in here before I cut my lights on >> because >> Did you pull in here because you were trying to >> This dog's got a [ __ ] >> Okay. Who's uh who's this guy? >> Probably my boyfriend. >> Your boyfriend. Okay. How long you guys been together? >> Uh for a couple weeks now. >> A couple weeks. >> Yeah. I've been for a very long time. >> I got you. Okay. Um and you bought this yesterday. >> Yeah. >> For how for how much again? >> 25. >> Okay. And there's no bill of sale. >> No. Like she said I had to get it from the DMV. We say 25 25,000 or 2500. >> 25,000. >> 25,000. >> Yeah. >> You told me 2500 like either it was 2500. Um she told me that the villa had to get it Monday from the thing but the tile to get tomorrow. >> Do you have any messages on your phone that I can look at that corroborate this all? >> No. >> From her conflicting statements to her inability to provide any proof, officers quickly knew what to do next. Okay, you're under arrest. Okay. >> Okay, that's fine. >> But what are you reckoning for? >> There was two vehicles stolen. >> Okay. Um, you love it. >> So, it wasn't my knowledge that it was stolen. So, I would like >> That's correct. >> It's a pretty much conspiracy that I stole the vehicle. >> So, it's kind of like when we go on, we have to go based on reason. It doesn't seem reasonable. >> Okay. So, you're going to arrest me as somebody reported the car. >> You asked me a question. I was answering >> and I did not know. So, I'm getting my knowledge >> ask me a question. I was trying to answer it for you, but you interrupted me. Would you like me to answer your question? >> I would like um you to call my dad, please. My lawyer. >> He'll call my lawyer to jail. Okay. >> Oh, absolutely can. I will. >> But I'm getting arrested under my knowledge. Not my >> Shortly after, officers approached the man believed to be the suspect's boyfriend. And based on his statements, they learned that this was not the first time the woman had been involved in legal trouble. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um, so I think you've already declared that like you probably overheard his car stolen. >> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Um, who is she to you? >> Well, she was a friend of mine. Kind of like making her girlfriend. >> Okay. This ain't the first time she's almost got me in trouble. I cut her off for a little bit. >> This is not the first time she >> Well, almost. She's almost got me a couple of bad situations. Not necessarily with the lobby just in general. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. She's almost got me jump a couple of crazy things and uh she finally she taught me into stayed away from me for a little while, you know. She kind of taught me into kind of taught me into coming to get me. She was going to buy a car and it made it seem like she was actually trying, you know. >> Yeah. Where are you from? >> I'm from up county. >> South Carolina. Yes, sir. >> Okay. You guys both from South Carolina then? >> Oh, yeah. She is, too. >> Okay. Um, do you guys stay in here? >> Oh, no. She was whatever. He's been priv My GPS's dying. So, every time we lose direction, we like about to stop. >> Okay. That's why you guys pulled in here. >> It's like the fifth time we had it. >> Okay. >> Want to bounce. >> So, 12:00 today. Where did you meet her? >> Uh, Easley Walmart. >> Okay. In Easley, South Carolina. Okay. Where did you guys go from there? >> Okay. We went from Easley and then after Easley, I wanted to go South. Like I said, I wanted to go every weekend. I could see my family. >> Mhm. >> Do you know where you are right now? >> No, I don't. No. >> Okay. You're in Athens student. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Any idea what you guys are doing down here? >> Uh, yeah. We're trying to make We're coming She come to buy that car. We're trying to make it home. >> She came to buy this car. >> Yeah. >> When did she buy this car? >> Like not even 2 hours. Probably about 2 hours ago. >> Where did she buy this car at? >> Like I told him, I wish I could tell you that she I think she's got the street address from the doodle marketplace. But some time between I guess it had to be Palmer I don't know between >> Yeah, cuz we stopped in Leavonia. >> Okay. So based on the man's statement, the suspect told a similar story about the car, but when questioned more closely, the details about the price once again differed from what officers had heard earlier. >> Okay. Um, do you remember how much she bought it for? >> Well, she says three grand, but I don't believe her. She likes to lie, I think. Okay. >> I don't think she had three grand on her. Like three grand she gave her. >> It did not look like three grand. >> I don't know for sure, but she says three grand. >> Okay. So, she told you three three grand. Okay. Um, so you guys go to somewhere between Commerce and Leavonia to buy the car. Y'all buy the car and then what happens next? >> Uh, we're here. >> Okay. >> So, hey, Casey, how did the car key get in his pocket? >> Well, I'm Well, I mean, I don't know. I have two of them. He's my boyfriend. >> Where's the Where's the second key? >> Cup holder. >> Cup holder. Okay. that worst of that car cuz we tried to start it but it just said no key detected. >> Yeah, because it's my car. >> But >> nothing personal. But like we've established it's it's it's not your car. >> It is actually. >> Were you the person that reported it stolen from Clemson? >> Why would I report a car stolen? >> You bought a stolen car and what I was trying to tell you earlier >> I shouldn't go to jail for it. What I was trying to tell you earlier is your story was all over the place and it doesn't seem >> I know my damn story. I went and gave the damn $2,500 and my cars turns out to be stolen. >> The woman still argued that she was only a victim who had unknowingly bought a stolen car, but in reality, putting that aside, officers caught her off guard with what they found inside the vehicle. >> So, um you're not only under arrest for the stolen car, obviously got a bunch of fentanyl and meth and pill and things like that. So, you're going to go to jail for those as well. Um, just got to figure out how much do you know what the traffic weight for uh fentanyl is in Georgia? >> I don't. Oh, I I pulled that out of your bag. I was just letting you know. Anything more than four grams. Got to weigh it and uh we'll go from there. Okay. >> I know you like to talk. I want you to listen to me right now. >> You have a lot going on right now. You're about to get another charge for obstruction. >> You need to call my dad immediately. >> That's not how this works. When I have in court here, you're under arrest. You need to let her scan your fingerprints so we can confirm who you are. >> Sheriff now, >> in 3 seconds, unless you comply, you're going to catch an obstruction out of you cuz I'm suing the sheriff department as it is right now. So, I suggest you call the sheriff. >> No, we're not calling the sheriff. Are you going to provide your finger to this officer? >> Danny Singleton. >> Who is Danny Singleton? >> The sheriff of South Carolina. >> Oh, you're not in South Carolina. You're in Georgia. Provide your fingerprint, ma'am. >> Ma'am, >> provide your fingerprint to her. You're going to be charged with obstruction on top of everything else we got going on. Everybody messed up the investigation for Boston, so I suggest you please call the sheriff. >> The woman was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, drug possession, and obstruction. Lies and resistance only make a bad situation worse. While honesty and cooperation can prevent deeper legal consequences. >> It's just a little too high. Okay. It was like $184 worth of stuff. So, little too high for >> No, I'm just going to address him. I'll just call him dude. >> Yeah. All right. Bye-bye. >> On the 13th of September 2025, police received a report from Walmart about a theft incident. The suspect was identified as a woman who attempted to quietly bypass the system. When approached, the woman remained completely calm as if she performed an innocent act. >> Oh, he already wrote everything down. >> Oh, you have to do it, too. >> I got Yeah, this is my town. My hair can >> I don't want to go all the way in there. I'm like host. I I don't want to be there. >> All right. So, I got to talk to them. But right now, you're not free to leave. So, I'm going to need you for my report. That's why. No. Done for Thank you. Okay. So, because you are not free to go. Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. >> No, you are not free to go. >> Why? >> Because hang. I got to talk to them. I just got here. I know you've been here a while, but I'm I'm the investigating officer here, young lady. Come on. Bear with me. I got to find out what what happened. >> Nothing happened. That's just I didn't pay for all of my items. >> Okay. And that's why I'm here. Her method of stealing was considered quite sophisticated to deceive the loss prevention team, but she did not expect that they were now exposing her entire scheme to the police. >> Uh, so I was alerted by the self checkout host that she had all the food that was scanned and she was beginning to pay. It was a whole bunch of stuff that was not on the receipt. >> Okay? >> And she didn't even attempt to scan. >> Then we watched the I had him run it back and she ain't attempt to scan nothing. >> Okay. paid $94 in out of $100 bill and um $5 on her debit card. >> $5 on her debit. Okay. Um how much stuff is it over there? >> It's probably like a if not 100 a little bit over. >> What is is that also food or not? >> No, it's not. General merchandise like shoes, clothes, sippy cups, paper towels. >> Uh a worker that works at the subject. >> What do you guys want done? >> Prosecute. Okay. >> And trespass. >> Okay. >> Cuz she was not cooperative at all. She tried to snatch the car away from me and asked her to come out and point. >> Yeah. When I stopped her in the vest on the other side, I asked her for her receipt. She gave me this one. I looked at it, glanced at it. I said, "Do you have another one?" She told me no. I said, "Do you want to come back with me so we can talk about the um paper merchandise?" She told no. I'm trying to bring her back around this way. She got like five, six kids with her. So, I'm not trying to, you know, >> trying to make it seem. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Then when she seen um her PD, then she was like, "Oh, you want to go over here?" Like, "Yeah, I've been asking you to do that." >> Sure. >> The woman appeared frustrated about being detained, waiting for the police so she could leave. But it quickly became clear when officers arrived that she would not be leaving easily. >> Can you turn anything on? >> All right. Really quick and put it right here. Okay. >> Okay. >> Can you just turn around? Put your Put your hand up. >> Oh, wait. Your hands are nice. >> Yeah. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. >> So, what's going on now? >> I mean, let me take a look. >> Why am I in handcuff? >> Is this all the stuff? >> Actually, you mind taking her to my car? >> Yeah. >> Thank you. >> Two marked one female in custody. So, this is all the stuff that she didn't pay for. Correct. >> Okay. Hey, do you did you observe any of this or you pulled up >> when I walked up? I observed that she had all this stuff up underneath >> underneath the car. So she had stuff that she had paid for on top and bags. Was this stuff bagged or no? >> No. >> No, not bag. >> Wasn't bag. So basically just picture all this stuff on top of >> Got it. Got it. Makes sense. Okay. So then you stop her, you ask her for another receipt. She's like, "Nah, she's kind of giving you a hard time. She's kind of being uncooperative. Sees Elmer's starts freaks out. >> Freaks out a little bit. And then you guys call us." >> And then she told her kids to get to some van or something. Yeah, there's a van right there. Okay, I'll be right back. Okay, thanks, guys. >> You guys have a female working or no? >> Uh, we do. You want to meet at the station? >> You're under arrest. Okay. For retail theft. >> Wow. >> Yeah. >> It's just a little too high. Okay. It was like $184 worth of stuff. So, little too high for for a ticket. >> She showed no shame as she pleaded for a citation so she could leave. And earlier, she had made similar pleas. The officer recounted those exact words. >> Kept saying, what did she say? She's like, "Man, I'll pay for whatever I didn't take." Uh, blah blah blah. So, >> that's what she kept saying to you and to them. >> Yep. >> Okay. With your present. >> Yeah. >> Okay, cool. Thank you. So, I'll pay for whatever I didn't pay for essentially. >> Exactly. And she said, um, the boyfriend was like, "Oh, you kind of like help her a little." >> I was like, "Oh, you might have done that by accident, right?" She's like, "Yeah, cuz I have all the kids." >> Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, I'm going to go take a picture of the stuff and the receipts and um Yeah. You mind staying with her till I come back? Thank you, sir. >> Police. All right. Let me take this the receipt. >> She paid for this. >> Can she come back and get her? How do you guys want to do that? Her man left already. I only credit her. >> She paid EBT >> and she's trespassed. >> I guess we just got free shoo. >> All right. >> Thank you. Yeah, please. And then uh my email, I'll send you guys an Axon link, too, >> just to double it up so we can get it to work. Okay. >> We also got a way to send the whole report to you to Aura. So, we'll check that out, too. >> Okay. I'm all new to this. I'm new to Dayshift. So, if you guys know the the shindig, I'm all in. >> All right. >> It could be said that despite her outward appearance, the woman was the one committing theft using an EBT card, showing no remorse at all. And she even kept smiling on the way to the police station. >> Can I pull my shirt up? >> Well, this female officer will help you out with that. >> Sorry, Matt. Here, move your seat belt out of the way. >> I didn't see it. >> Get your balance. >> Where'd you put it? All right. >> How do I grab it? >> You put in the back by any chance? >> No, I give it to uh their man. Okay. Okay, cool. You can walk up the ramp. >> Thank you. >> Write this ramp right here. Your man uh what's your dude's name? >> Um >> No, I'm just going to address him. I'll just call him dude. >> Yeah. >> The woman was formally charged with one count of retail theft. Shortcuts built on dishonesty always collapse under scrutiny. And a moment of greed can quickly turn into lasting consequences. >> Tell me what happened yesterday with all that. >> Sir, seriously, some [ __ ] >> I do. >> No. >> On the 16th of July 2023, police received a report from a Ross store about a theft that had occurred days earlier. The suspects had allegedly returned in the exact same vehicle. When officers arrived at the scene, they quickly began verifying everything with the loss prevention employee. >> Wow. >> Uh short version is I was just walking in just, you know, and I was actually just by their car. Didn't they parked right where you parked? >> Okay. >> I saw them running out. Did not identify myself or anything, but I car um and somebody get out of his way to shoot me. So, I a picture. >> Yeah. Okay. >> All right. And do we have video of them? We mostly I literally just Okay. >> Yeah. I thought we'll uh >> Sounds good. That's her, right? >> I think so. It's 149. >> They may have already been in this door collecting stuff. >> Is that him right there? Guy from this side. Walks across. >> Yeah, I think so. Yes. Yeah, that's >> At the same time, another team of officers blocked the vehicle linked to the theft in the parking lot and immediately took action before the suspects could flee for a second time. >> Man, I'm Corporal Mask Police Department. All right, come chill with me real quick. >> Hey man, could you just have a seat on my bumper, please? Just search around. Put your hands behind your back for me. Hey man, you're just being detained right now. >> What is he being detained for? >> Both of you guys are being detained right now. >> Me? >> What did I do? >> Put your hands together. >> Hey man, put your hands together. Hey, fingers together. Palms together. I'll pick up your cigarette. I promise. Drop your cigarette. Palms together. >> Hey, I I will tell you here in a sec. Put your palms together, sir. Don't >> palms together. >> No, they aren't. Put your palms together. >> Put the [ __ ] things on, bro. >> Hey, put your fingers. You're not your fingers. You still don't you trying to I'm not trying to get my palms, bro. Chill. I didn't That's all you >> Brandon. Stop it. >> Brandon, it's going to be real quick. We'll let you know what's going on. Okay. >> And then we're going to be out of these puffs, right? >> We got to explain to you what's going on and why you're being detained. Okay. >> I didn't do anything. >> Hey, man. Hey, right now you're being detained cuz your vehicle and you were involved in a theft yesterday at Ross here in the city of Kirkland. >> Okay. What is it? >> Okay. Do you have any uh weapons on you? >> No. >> Okay. Any anything sharp that's going to poke stick me? >> No. >> Okay. Turn around. >> Clearly, the man did not seem shocked by the accusations at all, and he suddenly went silent for a moment, as if he was already thinking about his next excuse to make things more difficult. >> You're not free to leave, but you're not under arrest. I am detaining you. >> For what? >> Okay. So, yesterday, >> yeah, >> a mail matching your description. >> Can you get my letter? Can I get my cigarette? >> Yeah. >> How many meals rest my pony. >> Get the out of here, bro. Let me explain. >> Let me explain. >> Hey, I'm going to explain it all to you, but you got to let me explain to you. >> Can I get Can I get my light? >> Yeah. >> I mean, we don't have issues. >> Hey, >> I'm willing to work with you on this. Got a red light. >> Chill. Chill. >> Hey, I will explain everything to you, but you got to chill for me. Okay, Brandon. Okay. Where's your lighter? >> Give me my light. >> No, it don't work. Give me my other one. So, you're saying you had this vehicle yesterday? It wasn't in the city at all? Your car? >> No, yesterday. >> No, I was dropping my kids off at camp. >> Yes, it was in the city yesterday. >> The car was >> Yes, because uh my friend who's in the store right now um came here to get groceries out there. >> Was he with your friend yesterday or was it just your friend car? >> It was just my friend in the car. >> Your car? >> No, it's not. >> Whose car is her car? >> Her car. >> Okay. So you're drive you're you're saying that out of a >> Hey Grant doing [ __ ] driving that car you got me up hey I'm tattoo artist bro I do tattoos >> I appreciate that I get bred for doing with this right here on your arm I look like and I'm not high >> both of them denied having anything to do with the theft but they had no idea the police already had photographic evidence just watch how they reacted when it was shown to them >> tell you that right now >> okay let me show you the picture and then you Tell me. You tell me if I'm lying. Okay. I'll show you the picture yesterday. Okay. And then you tell me if I'm lying. All right. Let's see. >> How many blueing Taho are you >> out there? Get the out of here, bro. >> Hang on. Hang on. >> You got light. >> Hey, >> check this out. How many blue Taho have the same license plate and sticker on them, bro? Right. So, >> that wasn't our car. >> That is your card. I'm looking at it, man. >> If it is, they got the wrong car. >> Katie was driving yesterday. Remember? Chill. >> So, right now you're being detained while I investigate this cuz the car was using some the stuff. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Can I get my light, babe? >> You got a light form? Is >> this the lighter? >> Yeah, but it won't light. I need a jump start. >> Hey, why don't you go see if you can find him a lighter over there? She'll let you get a lighter. >> So, you're saying you were in this car yesterday? >> No. >> Okay. You said you're dropping the kids off and >> Yeah, I dropped the kids off and got >> Okay. Not your car. Car. >> Yeah. >> Hey, Gy, why don't you stand with him real quick for me? Okay. You say your car was involved in a theft here in City of Kirkland. So, let's go with you saying, "Hey, it's not him or it's not Brandon. It's not you." So, who was it? >> My friend that's in the store probably. She took my car yesterday. >> She has She I can't >> 1 2 3. I'll take one more here, please. >> I don't want um I'm not going down for something that she did. >> Yeah, she did. And And I'll tell you what. Well, he he's giving a bunch of lip. I'm going to show you the proof that it was your vehicle. Okay. And you can tell me if I'm lying. How's that sound? Hey, is that your car with the [ __ ] around sticker and the same license plate right here? >> So, >> yeah. So, right now you guys are my theft suspects, right? Until I know otherwise. >> Well, she's in the store right now getting her medicine, but I don't want to be known that I told that it wasn't it was her, not me. >> Okay. She a big bigger gal. >> Yeah. >> The man completely denied the vehicle while the woman blamed her friend instead, only raising more suspicion. Meanwhile, officers had already approached the friend she mentioned. >> Right now, right now, you're detained because yesterday you had possession of the vehicle that's out there. That's your friend's car. Yesterday, >> I had possession of the car. Oh, you know, like I've been on my deathbed, right? Like >> I mean, death bed or not, you match the exact video footage of a occurred at Ross yesterday in our city with that car and you talking to the lost prevention officer. I'm sure you remember it. So, I just want you to be honest and tell me what happened. >> Talking to a lost prevention officer. >> Yeah. on your way out. I don't think you realize you cross production. >> So, tell me what happened yesterday with all that. >> Sir, seriously? >> Yeah. >> I honestly am very shamed right now. I don't >> But can I please at least get my prescriptions? Cuz if you're going to take me to jail, I at least can at least >> Yeah, well, we'll work through that. But talk to me about yesterday. >> I just said I'm ashamed of what happened. I know you're happy. So, what what happened to all the merchandise you stole from Ross yesterday? >> Is it still in the car? This is just a lot right now. >> I know it's a lot. >> This is a lot. >> So, it turned out the woman in red had been telling the truth the entire time. She was eventually cleared of any involvement while she also revealed more information about the man. >> I'm going to tell you something right now. Like I told him, he does not have a good background of police being nice. Okay. Racial profiling, racism. It's >> Well, but today he's already lied to me because he did commit a crime and he was the one who committed the crime in our city. So, he had this chance to be honest with me then about it, right? So, >> yeah, but he doesn't need to go to jail either. He's he's out of he's on Suboxin. Okay. He's out of his meds. His appointment's tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. If we miss that, he's screwed. Well, we'll go chat and we'll see how honest he is with me >> because he's not going to be honest. >> And just like the woman had warned earlier, even after both women admitted everything, the man still refused to face the truth. >> The girl who was also involved in this theft yesterday, right? And >> wasn't [ __ ] >> What do you think she told me about the theft yesterday? >> I don't think she was involved in [ __ ] >> Okay. >> What the you guys talking about? Probably got drunk cars on. >> Okay. Uh if you're not going to be honest with me and given this chance here, then today you're going to jail. >> Be honest for what? What do you want me to do >> about the theft yesterday? >> You say I broke the law so you could take me to jail. No, >> I already know you brokeon. >> Say you got me up. >> You got the wrong card. Leave me the alone. Leave me out of it. >> Let's pay pull him out searching. All right, Brandon, you're under arrest yesterday for theft. >> You okay? Cuz you committed a theft yesterday here in our city. So step out here. >> I do. >> No. Okay, >> babe. Give me my phone. I'll be calling you. >> Bail me the out finger and photograph this week. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Chill. >> The woman was charged with theft. While Brandon was also arrested for participating in the Ross theft, even when the evidence and confessions were already stacked against him, some people still believe denying reality would somehow save them, only making the consequences even worse. In the end, >> she always brings us back and this is where she stuffs everything in. These two come in quite a bit. Her boyfriend husk is okay. >> On the 3rd of April, 2023, police received a report about a theft that had occurred. The suspects were believed to be a group of women who had repeatedly stolen merchandise there. Upon arriving at the scene, the loss prevention department combined CCTV footage to provide a detailed statement about the incident. >> So, I got everything ready for you guys. >> Sweet. >> Um, so for the last month, well, Monday, we found out we were missing a bunch of product. Started watching cameras, saw two females that stole like over $600 that night. >> Okay. >> So, we kind of pulled transactions, look back. So, I can show them to you. >> Okay. >> What they look like. There's two females that come in >> and then there's a female and a male that comes in. Um, these are two of the females. So, these two come in quite a quite often and she always brings this bag in. This is where she stuffs everything in. These two come in quite a bit. Her boyfriend, husband, this is him. >> Okay. >> He's all tatted up, legs, arms. She always has a green vape pin around her >> neck. I have it written down to everything that I've noticed that they have taken, which they've they've taken more than what I've found, but we don't have cameras. I've got about $1,400 worth so far. >> Okay. Do you have the video of the truck and all that stuff, too? >> I do, actually. That's the truck. >> Okay. >> White Dodge blacked out. Um, and I wrote the license plate number on the paper as well. >> Yeah. I looked up the truck tag that you provided. It does come back to a white Dodge. It's registered to an older man from Miami. >> Oh, fantastic. >> So, that's fun. >> Yeah. Well, they've been they came in Monday, Tuesday. I'm pretty sure they live around here cuz they've been coming in >> at least for a couple days. >> Uh, no, for like the last like month. >> Month? >> Yeah. >> Okay. The theft group was identified as bringing bags and attempting to conceal the goods inside, mainly cosmetics and high-end food, and exploiting selfch checkckout to carry out the theft. This was confirmed by employees. >> Also, notice that they only come through selfch checkckout. >> Okay. >> Which makes it easier for them to steal stuff. >> Oh, absolutely. >> So, I caught on to that pretty quick, too. So, this is them right here. >> If you could just let it play like at normal speed when they're check out. >> Okay. >> And this is the 15th. >> This is the first one. Yep. >> And it seems like she's using Oh, no. Seems like she's obviously using that massive bag to put things in the store. Yeah. And you have her on video in the aisles putting stuff into that bag or >> So they go down the aisles that don't have cameras. >> Okay. >> But there's one which I have it on USB is that when they're together um she's like the watch out like you can see employees. >> You can Yeah. So you can see them go down an aisle and you can see like her hair um and then she's kind of just keeping an eye out. >> Mhm. and you see all the stuff that goes down the out and then when she walks out it's not there and the bag's been moved and you can tell that it's full of stuff. >> But the items that we have listed down are just items that you can see at checkout that were not paid for. >> Yeah, they're they're items that I saw her put them in the cart or inside the bag where it's open >> and then when they check out none of that is scanned. >> All right, please raise your right hand for me. You sure the statement you're about to give is the truth? The whole truth? Nothing but the truth? >> I do. Okay. Using images of the vehicle captured on CCTV and provided by the store, police tracked down the suspect's residence and approached it 12 days later. This was what happened next. >> How you doing, sir? My name is Detective Bar. We're just in the area doing a neighborhood Kansas. We had some activity that's occurring down the block this week. Do you I'm sorry, sir. I don't speak English. Okay. I speak Spanish. >> You speak Spanish? Okay. I don't speak a lot of Spanish. Are you Do you own this home? No, I live with my daughter, children. >> Okay. Are they home? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. Is it okay if I talk to her? >> One sec. I'm looking for the movie for the >> Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay, that's fine. >> I have a here. >> Can we come speak outside? We have somebody who speaks Spanish we need to speak to. Okay. >> Yeah. Can you come out here with him? So, out here we've been having vehicle burglaries. Okay. Do you own any of these cars or anything like that? Okay, go ahead and get her. >> Police approached the suspect under the pretense of investigating vehicle thefts in the area, which was why she smiled at first, believing she had not been caught. But at that moment, her attitude quickly changed. >> Why? >> Stop. Stop. Stop. >> Why? Why? Why? Why? >> Just relax for a second. Relax. Just relax. >> Why? Why? >> Just pull this up. There you go. Just get her scared. >> Okay. >> Stay right there. >> It's okay. Just relax. >> No. >> No. >> Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Stephanie. >> Stephanie. Stephanie. Correct. >> Okay. You can go ahead and explain it. Just keep it simple. >> This is a Stephanie. Okay, just just ask her if she's willing to come to the office and and talk to us. >> Is she willing to provide us with a statement to talk to us? >> So we can clarify everything so we can clarify and complete the investigation. >> You guys, I don't know what's going on. Okay. Okay. >> Landra Suarez Gallardo was charged with retail theft of more than $750 in coordination with others, a thirdderee felony under Florida law. The more people repeat a crime and grow confident they can get away with it, the easier they forget that every move leaves a pattern. And sooner or later, that confidence collapses into consequences. If you wanted to see even more chaos, these girls brought exactly that. >> Whoa. No, mama. Mama, no. BRO, >> YOU KNOW WHAT? I'M being detained for >> interference in custody. >> WAIT, HOW? >> INTER. >> On the 27th of September, 2025, police received a report of a fight at a residential area involving two teenage girls from the same foster family. Police quickly arrived at the scene in time. Listen to the statements of those present to find out what really happened. >> Kids fighting over here. >> Yeah. >> Where? >> I mean, the fight is over. One of them took off and left. >> Okay. Where's the other kid? >> We're all in this vehicle. I'm the parent. >> Okay. >> And uh I ran inside to get my clothes. Came back out. Two of them were fighting. >> This young lady. >> Hey, let me come here. >> Let me talk to her. Tell >> just calm down. Calm down. So when I was in the car, both of them will keep on fighting. They keep on da da da. And I was turning on the music. I turned it loud. Not that loud. And she keep on turn it up. She keep on saying, "Turn it down. Turn it down." And she said running her mouth. >> Is she? >> The one with the braids. >> Okay. So the the one that left was angry because you because of the music. >> Yeah. No. All because all because I was turning turning it off cuz well I wanted he they was she kept on she the bra girl talking about scream loud so she could turn it off and she's going to keep on talking >> who are you two other girls that were here >> saying who was driving she's going to put her hand we both started I keep on kicking her in the mouth >> is there anybody else inside this vehicle No, >> there was no other person fighting with you. >> No, just me and her. >> Okay. >> We didn't get hit or anything. >> Okay. She's just upset. That's why I'm asking. >> She was calling me to be word. >> Violence upset you. >> Yeah. >> The incident affected many people psychologically and became far more serious than anyone had imagined. Police separated the witnesses into small groups so they could investigate the situation more thoroughly. >> She used the door. The three bros, she was the um second row. Me and her. >> I I got out because um because I knew they gonna stop swinging and then she got out the car and went like on this side to get home. >> Yeah. She like tried to drag her out the car and everything. >> Okay. >> You didn't find her. Okay. >> He said that. >> So she's 17, I think. Am I allowed to call EMS for her? >> Cuz she wants her face checked out. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> But you said that you saw you said she was going home and pointed in that direction. >> Yeah. >> You said she's going to her mom's house. I'm not sure where her mom was. She went down that street right there. >> Okay. >> How did she first? >> She's the one doing boxing me with her hands and I was sitting right there kicking her in the face and fighting her. >> Okay. The two that were fighting Diamond and the other one. They're both your foster children. >> Yes. >> Okay. And they currently stay together? >> Yes. >> So, this all started over music. >> Music. >> Has there I know they just said she got here. I don't know the other girl's name. They said she just got here on Thursday. >> Yeah. >> Has there been any other altercations in the home? >> Has there been any other >> Has there ever been an altercation in this home until she came? >> Okay. >> So, she's a problem. >> Shortly after, an officer went to the location of the girl who had fled. She showed no shame in admitting what had happened, but she refused to take responsibility for her part, and her attitude only made the situation even more tense. >> What's your first name? >> Desiah. >> What's your last name? What happened? >> We got into a good little girl. She >> I don't like that little girl. We was just cool like a few minutes ago and she over here fighting calling me a beard. So I fought her back. >> Why she So where are y'all at? >> Check the laundry. Think I don't know where she at now. >> Check the laundry map. How did you get here? You walked. >> All right. So y'all at the laundry mat. Why where were y'all doing? >> I was We was in the car. Me and this girl was talking and then she keep turning up the radio and it was and then after that she's like and she was yelling at us talking. >> This girl that you was fighting with? >> Yes. She talking shut up and I was like who you talking to? And then that's when we got an argument that's you started fighting. >> Okay. >> And and >> why did y'all start fighting? >> I don't know. She never like she didn't like me when I first came over there. >> Okay. >> She also had an attitude with me. >> Give me one second. Okay. >> A short while later, backup officers arrived at the scene, but the woman's temper did not calm down at all. In fact, everything turned chaotic soon after. >> And I'm like, "Who you talking to?" And we started arguing and then she started and she hit me. So I hear her back. So we both started fighting and I got out the car and went around and we both started fighting and then the mama taking up her side song. Oh, you started it. No fighting in my house. Like we're not even at your house. What you talking about? >> We're at a dog, man. What you talking about? >> Okay, Miss Boseman, stick put your hands behind your back. >> WHOA. NO, MAMA. MAMA, NO. >> STOP. You're going to get tased. YOU'RE GOING TO GET TASED. >> STOP. YOU'RE GOING TO GET TASED. >> Get away. Get away. Get away. Get back. Stop. >> I want to go. >> I got to pee. >> Stop moving. >> Stop moving. >> Stop moving. And put your hand behind your back. 167. >> If you were a family member in this situation, I advised you not to interfere with police actions or you could face extra charges like the woman in white. Shortly after, officers arrested her as well. >> Huh? >> We need to arrest one more. >> Do what you got to do. You know, >> don't you go in the house. Get down here. >> We need to get down there. What you need to get done for you guys to go too for what reason HEY >> I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO DO IT no The hell are y'all? Stop. No. NO. I don't even know. >> Turn around. >> I DON'T EVEN KNOW, BRO. >> Get on the ground. I don't even know. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. >> Stop. >> Stop. Stop. Please. I need you to watch over mama. Please shut her down. >> Wrap her around. >> Shut her down. >> Wrap her around. >> I need to know what I'm being detained for. >> INTERFERENCE IN CUSTODY. >> WAIT, HOW? >> INTERFERENCE. >> HOW? >> The woman was charged with felony obstruction and domestic battery, while her sister was charged with felony obstruction. Interfering in a police investigation or arrest can quickly turn a chaotic situation into an even bigger legal problem, adding serious charges on top of an already tense incident. Next, this woman made a wrong move that ultimately led to her own regret. >> This is what she ran up. >> That's what she gave. >> Different felonies you can get from this. It's organized retail theft basically is what it is. On March 4th, 2022, police were dispatched to a Dollar General store after receiving reports of an organized theft carried out by both an insider and an outside accomplice. For more details, listen to the statements the officers gathered. >> The loss prevention manager. Basically, I hadn't got the manager's statement, but apparently she already wrote a statement to her. So, she all happened yesterday. It's just one instance. Okay. >> Over the span of 4 hours yesterday. The employee allowed her aunt, the employees aunt, to basically load up entire carts of whatever. I mean, over $1,000 worth of stuff and she would scan like one or two things. >> She would >> the employee would Yeah. The employee would scan. >> Yeah. The the employee would scan one or two things and let the ant she wants to breast. >> So, they're both going to go >> if we They don't know the ant's name, man. the employee apparently wouldn't tell her. So, um, but yeah. So, >> if that's the case, then she can >> But apparently, you want me I'll go inside with the manager, get that. >> I need the surveillance video and if they can give us an idea of what all was taken, we need a receipt. >> Yeah, >> let me go. She should have all that. Go ahead and have all that ready. >> I'll go in there with her, get all that. >> Go do that. I'll randomize her and talk to her real quick and >> Okay. But apparently she already admitted everything on their written statement. So that's fine. >> At that moment, an officer entered the store to work with the loss prevention team to determine the extent of the losses. >> So this is what she rang up. That's what she gave away. And I can show you on the big camera, too. And then she rang up a drink. And that's the cart he pushed out. And the only thing she rang up was the drink. >> The drink? Yeah, that's the actual receipt for the transaction. And that's on the drum drive. >> Can you Oh, that's this is all on the drum drive. >> Yes. >> So, I can take this, right? >> Yes. >> Cool. >> Um, she told me to have it. So, >> yeah, that makes everything a little easier. Here you >> take the >> And then the employee is Amy Ranken >> and that's when she signed up. So, and she put her employee number. I didn't um I don't know if you need the original or the copy. I was just told to make a copy of it, too. And then these are like when I went through and watched the video. I didn't put all of this on there cuz it wouldn't have fit. But >> what is Oh, >> this is And this is the list of stuff I could see in the cards that got taken. >> Can you do Did you make copies of all that? >> No, not yet. >> You make copies of all that front and back if you would. Returning to the suspect, she clearly knew what had happened to her, and every accusation stated by the police became pressure that forced her into regret. >> Be placed under arrest for grand retail theft. >> Yes. >> Um, tell me what's going like you're being accused of understanding and allowing your aunt to walk out. Like I you know how many different felonies you can get from this? It's organized retail theft basically is what it is. Whether it was your idea or not, you went along with it. >> Did you get dropped off here or is your vehicle in the >> My vehicle's here? >> Okay. >> Hey, um I'm getting ready to go to jail. >> Can you have someone come get it? >> Because I let somebody walk out of here with stuff yesterday. Yeah. I don't know. So, I will let you know when I can get a bond hearing or whatever. >> You'll have a bond tonight. Said by me. >> He said I'll have a bond setting set tonight. I'm not sure how much it was. >> Inside the store, the loss prevention employee continued to lay out the coordinated plan behind the organized theft scheme. >> So, she took eight shopping carts >> all together and the hour it was eight shopping carts full of stuff. >> Where did the Where did the $1,000 number come from? That's it was probably over that amount because there were so full of things that we couldn't even see what was in them. >> Um, so she's estimating. >> You didn't happen to get her on video writing the statement, did you? >> Yeah, >> she is on video writing a statement. >> Yes, I can add that to that. >> Yeah, if you would do that, that would just be a little icing on the cake, so to speak. And uh what I'll do is I'll just take the copied version of everything. >> Oh, the receipts you have are on here, you said, or what you >> um Well, I have the beginning like where she scanned one thing and then gave them their copy of the receipt and they walked out with two carts full of stuff. >> Okay, cool. >> That's on there. Um, all the ones that I had time to put on there are on there. So, >> okay. >> If you guys need anything else, I can if we can do it all from here. We don't actually have to wait for them to send it to us, which is kind of nice. >> Yeah, this is a good starting point right here. So, >> how long has she been working here? >> At this store, only a couple months or even a month. She came from the other store. So, the way she did it, I have a feeling that this is not the first time. >> You sure? >> And she wouldn't give y'all her she wouldn't give y'all her aunt's name. >> I don't. >> It looks like her mom. >> Like her mom. >> And they were driving the legs van cuz you can kind of see it off to the side. She walks out to it. And >> were y'all able to get y'all have outside cameras? >> Yeah, you can see the van. Everything had become clear and the female suspect could not escape being placed in handcuffs. >> And this is just I don't have like >> documentation. >> No, I find out. >> No, it's not. >> I thought it was just park marks that you had. >> No, you didn't cooperate for me. This is easy. should be good. >> All right. >> Well, if I wait to see how much it is. >> That's fine. You can wait. So, like you said, 750 or less, it's misdemeanor. >> I'm watching, I guess. >> So, how how do they know? I guess they followed around the store watch. >> Well, they got video cameras. I mean, every all over the place. So, >> you know, they they invest big money into that kind of thing. And before they call us and do their due diligence. So, >> are they saying this is the only time? Do they suspect other? >> Uh, right now this is all this is all they're saying and that's all she said. This is the first and only time. Um, so until we know otherwise, yeah, we're just treating this like a isolated ordeal. >> The woman was charged with grand retail theft and participation in an organized retail theft scheme. A single dishonest decision, even if influenced by others, could lead to serious legal consequences that permanently damage one's future. Next, these women still naively begged for forgiveness even after getting caught. >> Is shoplifting a crime? Could you can you please just I never I never got in trouble like >> items. >> No, cuz you know >> on the 29th of August 2023, officers approached two women sitting inside a vehicle after suspecting them of being involved in a theft case. But even after being called out directly, both women acted as if the officers standing beside them didn't even exist. Come on. >> Seriously, I know what you just did. Let's go. Step out of the car. >> Farm both. Come on. >> Come on. Listen. You know better. We deal with you all the time. >> All right. >> Like I'm homeless. I never right. I get that. >> I don't want to get in trouble. But >> you're shoplifting. You're just shoplifting. Come on. Stop it. Oh, >> hop out for us. What's her name? >> You seen a cop car sitting right there? You didn't think they were watching you guys? >> Although they appeared calm on the outside, both women were clearly panicking inside because moments later, they admitted to the theft and showed absolutely no intention of taking responsibility for it. >> Let's go. Is shoplifting a crime? Can you please just I never I never got in trouble like >> Can we just return the items? >> No, cuz you know would you return items if you didn't get caught? >> Hop out for me. Come on. Let's go. The quicker we get done this quicker you guys get out of here. >> So now what? >> There's going to be a shop with me. >> So now what? >> Give me your stuff. >> You're going to come back with us. >> Come on. I was so cool with you. Why you doing this [ __ ] >> In the back of the car. >> Danielle, you got CS. >> Come on. >> Who's this guy? Yeah, for real, bro. We trying to help you guys out. You're doing this. >> Yeah, for >> Although the suspects had already been taken into custody, the real challenge still remained as the stolen merchandise was believed to be mixed in with other belongings scattered throughout the back of their vehicle. >> Leave everything. It's fine. Excuse me. >> What's up, man? >> Yeah. everything. It's a mess and I don't know who to do. >> You got [ __ ] in there that you shouldn't have. >> I'm not worried about that. >> No, I don't like I just don't want everybody touch you. >> Well, I seen her carrying this bag. >> Okay. Well, then >> carry this bag. >> Oh, hold the bag. >> That bag was in there. >> If you don't belong here, you need to go. >> Sorry. >> Hit the road, brother. Hit the road. Peace out. >> Maybe next time you win. >> I got two under. Can I just give him a kiss real quick? >> He's probably going to come back to the station. >> Yeah, you can give him a kiss. >> Over here though. Over here. Over here. You can slide over. >> Come on. >> Go back to the police station. Yeah. Come on. She's got pipes in there and I'm put them in your car. >> I got my car. >> I got bags in my car. >> Do you have those merchandise? Do you want to put them both in your car and I'll get back? >> It didn't stop there as officers also searched the bag the woman had been carrying where even more stolen items were still hidden inside. have a cigarette. >> A cigarette or no food. You should just Is this from there? Be honest with me. >> Period. >> I thought they were underwear. >> Like I'm driving [ __ ] up. >> I know. Listen, if you were to get caught, these are probably the best two officers in our department so far because there's no understanding. So you're hungry, you need twizzers when you're hungry. Can't tell the protein in The rest of that is the two women were charged with shoplifting and possession of stolen merchandise. Many thieves believed they could escape by hiding stolen items among piles of cluttered belongings. But in the end, the truth always came to light. Before moving on to the next shoplifter, let's meet the woman who thought she knew the law. >> Why I stalked you? >> That is the law. >> Who do you think knows the law better? You want to play games? I'll play games with you. >> Here I put your hands behind your mouth. On the 20th of January 2026, deputies approached a vehicle after it allegedly cut across traffic to make an illegal wide turn. But when they confronted the woman, she acted like she knew the law better than the cops themselves. >> Hey there. Do you have your information? License, registration. >> I have a picture of my insurance cuz it says >> Yeah, that'll work. >> If you're talking to me, I I can't hear you. >> I'm sorry. You're you're speaking like really little and then I got lots of lots of cars. >> Can I ask why I'm getting full? >> Sure. Can I see your ID, your license there? >> Uh I'm going to need a reason for it. >> No, that's not how this works. >> It is though. >> Oh, it is. >> Yeah. >> No. All right. So, just so you're aware, the whole traffic stops being audio and video recorded. So, I stopped you for a lawful reason. I am requesting your driver's license, your registration, and your insurance. Yeah. >> Yep. And I'll explain that lawful reason as soon as I get the documents in which I'm requesting. >> Like I said, I'm not going to have this back and forth of you arguing with me of why I'm stopping you. I stopped you for a lawful reason. There's nothing that says that I have to tell you why I stopped you. >> That is the law. You have to tell me. >> Who do you think knows the law better, me or you? She believed the deputies had no valid reason for her to hand over her ID, and her uncooperative attitude only made the encounter even more tense. >> Okay, here's the deal. Your ID is right there, so you can either hand it to me or we can go a different route. >> I'll give you my ID. I totally pulled you over. >> I pulled you over for a lawful reason. Okay. >> Lawful reason. >> All right. Here. Okay. So, you turned on onto 23rd and you went into the furthest lane and then you came back to the left lane. You can't do that. You can't turn into both lanes. Now, please provide me your identification, license, >> and registration, please. >> I'm getting called over, but he want to tell me. >> It was clear that she was the one making it difficult for the deputies to carry out a simple request. She even called her mother to avoid complying, forcing the deputies to act immediately before the situation dragged on any longer. >> Mom, hop out. >> You want to hop out? >> Cuz I will give him my ID. I told you. >> You want to play games? I'll play games with you. >> You're under. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Stay inside the car. >> Oh god. Grab my phone. >> Nope. You're going to stay right there and do not move. >> Are you [ __ ] serious? >> Yeah, I am serious. That isn't how this works. >> Are you dead? Cuz you can't tell me why you pulled me over. >> I told you why I pulled you over. Back here to my car. >> Are you start walking to my car? >> Stay in the car. Do not get out of the car. >> Holy [ __ ] Are you a [ __ ] idiot? >> Yeah, I must be. Turn to face my car. Spread your feet. You have anything on you I need you to be aware of? Anything that could poke me, sickness stab me. Hop inside my car. Just so you're aware, everything's being audio and video record. The woman's face showed clear discomfort as if she already knew she was in the wrong and chose to resist cooperating with the deputies. Meanwhile, the deputies moved in to calm the passenger. >> You want to go see what the deal with the passenger is? See if he's of age. >> Hey, I'm Deputy Taylor. You're being audio video recorded if you didn't hear that already. All right. Uh, do you have a license? >> You don't have a license? Then you can't drive? Okay. How old are you? 18. Okay. Is that the owner on the phone? >> All right. So, you're 18. Um, the owner said you can stay here with the car. Okay. And then you're good with that. And then the owner, is she going to She's on her way. So, can she take the car then? Okay. Who's the owner? Do you know the girl? Cassandra. Cassandra. Okay, cool. I appreciate it. Thank you. Hang in one second. Okay, >> back with the woman, her earlier arrogance had completely collapsed. Just look at her attitude now. >> Where do I identify and then obstructing my investigation? I don't know where you get your information, but your information is not correct. Okay? This isn't uh what you see on on Facebook and Tik Tok reals is not real life. This is real life. Okay? There's nothing on on the books on the state of Washington that says that I have to give you a reason why I stopped you. I do that as a courtesy, but I do that after I get the information because I don't want to have the back and forth like you are going to to have with me. Okay. So, you have a mandatory court appearance on I believe it's the 1st of excuse me, the 2nd of February at 1:00 p.m. Okay. As far as the traffic infraction, you have 30 30 days to respond to it with these four options up here. You can choose the one that best fits you. Fill this out and send it to this address right here. So, let's go ahead and hop out. We're going to slot cuffs out. >> She was charged with obstructing a law enforcement officer, failing to obey a lawful order, and making an improper turn. Refusing to cooperate and acting like the rules do not apply to you can turn a simple traffic stop into a much bigger legal problem. Because arrogance and delay will not change the law. They will only make the consequences worse. Worse, the woman did not even realize how dangerously intoxicated she was. >> Put your hands together. Seriously, you're not going to ask me a question. >> You're not going to ask me. >> So, you don't have it on your phone? >> No. >> Okay. >> On the 18th of April, 2025, officers received multiple 911 calls, reporting a driver who appeared intoxicated, attempted to leave the parking lot, and nearly struck others. They immediately arrived at the scene, but the female suspect instantly denied everything. >> Are we good? >> What? >> Pull out. >> What's that? >> I need to pull out. Okay. Well, we got a call on you. You mind putting in park for a second? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Can you pull forward here? You >> park for him. And I just need to >> Okay. Put in park. >> Can you take your keys out of the ignition, please? >> Can I have the keys? >> I mean, >> so I can smell the alcohol coming off your breath. Okay. Um, we got a call saying that you almost hit some kids in the parking lot here. >> I almost hit some kids. >> Yeah. I did not almost have some kids. >> You're sluring your words. I can smell the >> I literally never though. I never even came in contact with children. >> Okay, that's fine. But I can just standing here. I can smell the odor of a consumed alcoholic beverage coming off your breath. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, let me see your keys real quick. >> For what? >> Because I don't want you going anywhere. >> For exactly what? I literally haven't done anything wrong. >> Okay. How much have you had to drink tonight? I was with my friends just now to drink until I came here. >> Okay. Where were you guys at? >> Like what? I don't understand exactly what what I did to like >> So, we got multiple calls. Like I said, that you had >> calls from me. >> Just listen. Just listen. Just listen. Okay. >> It's just kind of crazy to think that multiple calls came from me. >> The woman immediately became defensive when she heard the accusations against her. And beyond showing clear signs of drunk driving, she also failed to provide the necessary documents the officer asked for. >> Need your driver's license >> in a second? >> Nope. You're going to give me your driver's license now. >> Or I will in a second. >> No, you're going to give me your driver's license now. >> I literally don't. At this point, I don't feel like I need to. >> You do? >> Because why? >> Cuz I'm investigating an OVI. >> An OVI? >> An OVI? Yes, I am an investigator. >> I literally did nothing to get to this point. >> I I'm done arguing. provide me your driver's license or I'm going to we're going to get out of the car and you're going to be placed under arrest. I >> I hear what you're saying. >> Okay. So, where's your driver's license at? >> I will get it on my phone. >> I'm trying to get that out. >> I feel like at this point I'm trying to tell you >> I wasn't even trying to pick up my kids right now. I was not trying. >> So, your kids here? >> Yes. >> Did you Did you have them in the car? >> I did not drink them here. Oh, I I dropped I dropped them off and I had a a a >> Is there anybody else that you're with? >> I messaged somebody. Their their name is >> So, wait, who are your kids here? >> They are here with somebody completely different. >> Okay. >> I was not here right now. >> Okay. >> Shortly after, the woman admitted that she had been drinking, but what stood out was that she saw nothing serious about it, even dragging her own family into an excuse. >> How much alcohol have you had to drink today? I drank two drinks at the alcohol place. I was literally going to pick them up and drop them off. All I'm trying to do is get home at this point. I didn't realize it was going to be such a big deal. All I wanted to do like >> Are you willing to listen for one second, please? >> Listen to me. >> Okay. Are you willing Stop. Stop. Are you willing to run through some tests for me? >> Sure. >> Okay. All right. >> I was going to graduate next week. >> Hold on. Just listen. All I want to do is graduate so I can get to my next step. >> I had my children very very very early. All I'm trying to do is graduate. >> Okay. >> And now you want to like like look in my car and be all like I'm I'm not doing anything wrong. >> Okay. 60 69 68 67 66 65 64 63 62 61 67 71 70 70 71 70 70 78 77 76. It was clear that she failed the backward counting test from 69, which showed that she had lied about how much alcohol she drank. Even when given another chance, she still made herself look even more suspicious. >> The letter D is in David, and I just want you to recite the alphabets of Q and Queen. >> Seem like a normal person. >> Okay. Do Do you want to do this test? >> I I don't understand what I did wrong. >> Okay. Well, we're we're I I've already explained it to you. So, would you like to do this test or no? >> I don't know. Should I? >> It's up to you. If you're going to like pinpoint me as a criminal, then no. Because I'm >> I'm not a criminal. And I'm not trying to I'm not trying to get it past the law. I'm not trying to do anything. >> Are you going to do the test or not? >> Listen, I >> I'm asking you a question. Stop. >> Are you going to answer the question? >> You're looking at me like I'm trying to get above anything. I'm not. >> Listen. Are you going to do the test or not? That's a simple question. It's a yes or no question. >> I don't know. Depending on your answer. I don't know. >> It's not my answer. It's your answer. I'm asking you. You are making me seem like it's a different >> Are you willing to run through uh field sobriety tests for me? >> A field sobriety test. >> Are you willing to run through field sobriety tests for me? >> And what is the answer if I don't? >> Well, we're going to cross that when we get there. But I'm asking you if you're willing. >> I'm asking you if I don't. >> Do I not have that opportunity to ask you that? >> You do, but these are optional tests. >> So, I have every option to ask you when I ask you. >> And you're asking I'm asking you crazy. Do you want to keep me here >> and I'm trying to answer the questions as best as I can. >> There was clearly no cooperation like she claimed as she only made the situation more tense, quickly making it obvious to the officers what they needed to do next. >> Did you not want to ask me a question? >> Did you not ask me a question? >> So, I'm not going to be asked a question. >> You're not going to ask me a single question? >> Put your hands together. Seriously, you're not going to ask me a question. >> You're not going to ask me. >> I'm not going to ask. >> You're under arrest. Do you understand that? >> Even though I'm not. >> You have the right to remain silent and then you say, "Can we be against you in the court of law?" Even though I'm not attorney and I haven't been present for any questions. We can't car. >> Not anymore. No. >> Why? >> Do you understand your rights? >> I don't. I don't. >> I just read them to you. >> No, you didn't. >> You did not understand. No. >> I went to not understand. >> I didn't understand anything you said. They're going to have to spam him again. >> What's your question? I'm not going to say >> all the questions. >> Okay, let's go. This person. >> You don't have any questions for me. >> What did I do? >> You're driving drunk. >> I literally >> You're being So, you're under arrest right now for OBI. Okay. >> Drink from there. And but >> what did you have to drink? >> All All I drank with it was literally a shot. >> Just one shot. >> Yes. >> What kind of shot was it? >> It was tequila. >> Okay. and and for some reason she I mean she didn't think that that was abnormal at all. She said that since she was going to a party that it was very very normal. >> She changed her story from two drinks to just one compared to her earlier statement which further proved that her state of mind was unstable. But what the officers found afterward was able to reveal the truth. >> Wallet, house key and phone passenger side. I mean, literally take her out of the dress for just a second. >> I'm going to take the other one off to you real quick so that way you can pull up the entrance for him. >> Tell me what I did. >> I told you you get you're under arrest for OVI. >> You You really I'm under arrest. >> Am I under arrest? >> Yes, >> I am under arrest. >> Yes, they arrested you for OVI. >> I have nothing to do with that, though. I'm talking about what happened prior to all this. Can you see if you pull up your insurance card for me? I don't know what you want. >> Your insurance. >> Yeah, I know. I know. But they don't want to. >> If I could do it without you wanting to like arrest you. >> I'm trying to help you. I swear to God. >> I don't want you to >> I don't want to hurt myself. All I want to do is get the truth to you. >> Sure. >> Let's work on the insurance card first. Yep. Pull up the insurance. >> What am I trying to do right now? to get >> I don't know what you want. >> Do you know where your insurance card is? >> I know what I have Molina, but I don't know what you want me to do. >> Oh, I want like car insurance. Your car. Do you have a picture of it? >> I don't. >> So, you don't have it on your phone? >> No. >> Okay. >> The woman was convicted of failing to stop after an accident while her ovi charge was later dismissed. This case showed that making excuses, changing stories, and refusing to cooperate only made the situation worse, while honest actions and responsibility could have prevented the chaos from escalating. Next, these suspects even began instructing each other on how to shoplift. >> Are you 21? >> Technically, you're not supposed to have that. On the 18th of April 2024, police were dispatched to a Walmart after receiving reports of an ongoing theft. The suspects were identified as three individuals, Christopher, 45 years old, Caitlyn, 20 years old, and Sophia, 19 years old, who were pushing a shopping cart out of the store. At that moment, officers quickly stopped them before they could leave. This was what happened next. Okay. Yeah. 15 minutes around. come in also have a furnace, too. And if you go in there right now, she got it up under her shoulder. >> All right. Okay. Well, we're going to figure out who's got what here in a sec. Who's got IDs? Pull it out. >> You got one? >> That's fine. We're in the AP office. Just whenever you get here and finish up, we'll be here. They were not surprised by the officer's request as they clearly knew what they were facing at that moment. Each item was checked to prove their act of theft. Who had this one right here? >> Shoplifting bags where you just keep nothing in there but the stolen merchandise. Advanced retail theft techniques. Possession. >> Okay, that's enough. No more. Um, you want to give me that? That's going to be there 14. I'll go. Absolutely. Get started. >> Um, yeah. You search, you can get out of here. >> Yeah. All right. Have a sit down. So, that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to be searching both of the females. Do you have anything on you that's going to help me sick me or hurt me? Is there anything that I should be aware of if you were to go jail that they find that you will get additional charges? anything that you hid on you person while you were in Walmart. Immediately after that, a body search was conducted to ensure they carried nothing dangerous and had no stolen items hidden on them. Are >> you 21? It's even worse. It's only like a $15. This is where your car is. Here we go. Thus, unauthorized items were still found despite the officer's warnings. Additionally, the presence of an older man accompanying two young women he did not know also raised suspicion among the police. >> What's uh what's the bird that he's going? All three go. >> What's this guy hanging out with these two young kids? I mean, they're not like kids, but they're like they're basically kids. >> Yeah. >> What's he doing? Hang out with them. >> Teach them wayward. Well, actually, I would say uh I'm not harder. just teaching him about the other one to do. She's the only one that complicated, right? Or maybe she's just really bad at it, but she's getting all want to get caught. I'm sure they've all done it before. The one sitting in on the chair facing the computer monitor, she's so nervous that her karate just like pulsating in her neck. You can see it on that machine or or that. According to the investigation, a background check revealed that all three had outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court. And it seemed the man felt no remorse. Uh a bun or something like something like this. >> I'm sorry. I didn't hear you. >> Get a bun or something. >> I mean, it will be, but we don't set it as us. It'll be set by the jail. >> Go ahead and stand up. You turn your wrist. does not look comfortable. >> Not going to be able to like my purse and my key and everything. >> Just made it. All three were charged with retail theft and additional counts related to outstanding warrants for failure to appear. The lesson here was clear. Small acts of dishonesty could quickly escalate into serious legal consequences, especially when combined with repeated offenses and poor judgment. Next, two girls, but two completely different fates. She threw the box right there and then she goes back. Ameilia goes back and make sure that please get protected my girl. >> On the 17th of April 2025, officers received a report from Walmart after two suspects were caught shoplifting inside the store. But it quickly became clear these suspects were far from simple. Here's what unfolded when police arrived at the scene. >> Hi, I'm Officer Lucia Albuquerque Police Department. You guys are both detained, not free to leave in regards to the shoplifting, and then you're a runaway. Okay. How long have you been away from CFD? >> I'm on a runway. >> Are you in CFD custody? >> Yes. >> Okay. They have you as missing. That's why I'm saying Okay. >> Who are you supposed to be with? >> I I'm I live in a housing program. >> Do you have a what? I have a housing program. I live like >> I'm sorry. >> I do a program through Cyd. >> I'm not missing. My housing manager is outside right now. >> Okay. I don't know. I'm just telling when I ran that's the information that popped up. Maybe they meant to take you out and they didn't. Yeah. You know what I mean? >> So the cops just got her. >> Are you APD? >> Mhm. >> Yeah. >> I'm just waiting for my partner and I'll give it to my car. >> Who are you talking to? >> I found the blue. That was it. Do I need to get off? I got to go, Josh. >> From the trembling, stuttered words of the woman who had been reported missing to the tearful regret of the other girl, both eventually admitted to what they had done. Soon after, officers made their decision. >> Am I still going to be able to talk to my person? Okay. So, stand up face away from me. I'm going to place you in hand cups. Okay. Face this way. >> I'm trying to get these up. That's why it's just the one that you have. Okay. >> Robert, >> who are you talking to if you don't mind me asking? >> Okay. Did you guys drive here? >> No. >> She's right outside. >> Okay. >> Is your friend? >> No. >> Oh, she's here hugging. Okay. Like I said, just when I ran your information, I was sharing that you were missing. Maybe it's old. I don't know. We'll figure it out. Okay. Anything on you that I need to be aware of? Anything that could hurt? Okay. Walk back to my vehicle and then I'll be right back. Yeah. >> All right. I'll be right back. >> And then here to the right. Okay. >> When we get to my vehicle, I'm going to conduct what's just a pat down. It's just for weapons before you sit in my vehicle. Okay. >> What's your first name? I'm >> The other girl was identified as a 17-year-old reported missing. So, the guardian from the program she mentioned was called to the scene to handle the situation. >> Okay. >> She showed me the receipt. It's 27. I used to work last prevention. So, um I kind of explained to her I understood like the they saw them. They have them on video. >> Did the Did the juvenile call you? Is that how you guys got here or how did you end up here? >> Yeah. Yeah. So, the juvenile called Well, actually Amelia called me. Fair enough. Um and she was saying that um they were they were calling APD and uh so I don't know if you know Amelia's back. >> Yeah. >> Sorry. So we just got her out. She just reported a pre-trial today. Okay. >> And um so I completely understand that what they were saying is they wanted to see her. Right. Right. And >> well I actually haven't talked to them yet. I just didn't know. So basically when I ran the juveniles information she was coming back as a a runaway. >> Okay. some way so that way I can get her out. >> So she's on our program. Um I'm the center. So we run with partnership with CYP and we are responsible for these kids. >> So we are not but she's under >> interesting. Okay. >> So she's >> Yeah, that's what I'm talking this way. This way. This way. Thank you. >> You have a phone with you? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> That's fine. Just don't smoke in there. Okay. >> Do I Do you want to close it up? >> I have to. Yeah. >> Huh? Yeah, of course I do. >> So, they're both in the same program in the same facility. Okay. >> And so, How did they get her? >> So, they uh she went to pre-trial and they were uh they I dropped them off, >> but I had no clue. I had no idea cuz our center Yeah, cuz our center is down the street. So, I took her to pre-trial. >> Back inside the store, a loss prevention employee provided footage that would become nearly impossible evidence for them to deny. >> Right. Um they were, you know, we had two females coming in with bags. I started watching them. I right away noticed Amelia um just from the vlog and stuff like that. Um they went and made their way into cosmetics. After cosmetics, Amelia selected some eyelashes and some glue and then they walked out of cosmetics went into Home Lines and they went into a corner and they started opening up the packaging. She gave the eyelashes to Amelia or to I'm sorry to Elise. She grabbed the eyelashes, concealed it, and then Ameilia got the box and threw it. And then um in that little corner she concealed the glue. So when we brought him in here she said I didn't take anything. Um it was all my friend when we did the pat down they had the stuff that we observed them selecting. So >> she was like looking around. It's her again. She threw the box right there and then she goes back. Ameilia goes back and make sure that she like stuffs it in the back. Um, so at that point when they go to the front, I have my partner take over camera and then that's when I I put the packaging already back at customer service, but I went back to the floor and grabbed it and it was empty. >> Okay. >> At this point, officers approached the woman who had initially acted remorseful, but the involvement of her accomplice only added even more charges against her. >> Comfortable talking to me about what happened today? I don't know. I don't think so. >> Okay. So, no. >> Sorry. It's just cuz last time they told me a little bit. >> Okay. So, we won't then we'll we'll we'll take that as a no and then we um I won't ask any questions in regards to what's going on. Um I will be contacting your pre-trial officer just to see what our next steps are going to be in regards to you. You are going to be criminally trespassed from the property um per their request and then we also have the shoplifting portion of it as well. Okay. Watch your knees so I can close this. >> So, you are going to be placed under arrest in regards to the shoplifting and the contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Okay. >> Please, can we talk to my parole? Please don't do anything. >> So, in regards to your pre-trial officer, obviously he's not here. I had to talk to the supervisor. Okay. The supervisor is not putting forth any type of additional criminal charges. He just has to put in a petition to the judge and the judge will decide what happens. Okay, >> please. So, can we talk to him? >> Talk to him. >> The prefall. >> We can definitely try to give him a call, but that's not going to change the outcome of today. Okay. >> Charges. The 17-year-old girl was trespassed from Walmart and released back to her guardian, while the other woman was charged with felony shoplifting, criminal trespassing, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Many offenders believe acting remorseful or shifting the blame will lessen the consequences, but in the end, their own words and actions often become the very thing that makes the charges even worse, worse. These shoplifterss refuse to take responsibility. >> Make an example out of everybody so that people stop stealing from their store. Don't make me an example, please. I literally prepared myself yesterday. >> I literally did my hair and everything yesterday. >> On the 1st of January, 2024, police were dispatched to a residential neighborhood after receiving reports that a suspect from an earlier WAWA theft had been spotted there. The suspect was believed to be the 18-year-old girl involved in a string of thefts committed with her group on different days. This was what happened when officers approached her. >> Hey, how's it going? Detective Gal with the sheriff's office. Yeah. >> What's your name? >> Gigi. >> Gigi. How old are you, Gigi? >> I'm 18. >> 18. Got a minute to talk? >> Yes. >> Reason I'm here, I'm investigating some thefts that occurred out of the uh Waw Wall out on steroid 64. You got a boyfriend? >> Yeah. >> What's his name? All right. Who's that? >> That's me. But >> you and >> Yeah. >> Okay. Who's this guy? I don't know who that is. >> Come on. >> Yeah, I don't know who that is. >> Help me out. Help yourself. >> Deonte, maybe. >> Deonte who? >> I don't know his last name. >> Where does he stay? >> I don't know. >> You got a phone number for him? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. Who drives this car? The uh blue Impala? >> I I don't know. I've never seen a car before. >> You never seen that car before? You were there that night, >> but I have not seen that car. I don't know who that is. >> So, you and him were stealing stuff. So, I think that you probably know who it is. Is it Deonte? >> Yeah. >> Okay. What's his last name? >> I I don't know his last name. >> Why are you guys stealing beer and stuff from the gas station? >> I don't know. >> You don't know? >> Just being stupid. >> Hey, that's you, right? >> Yeah. >> That's also you, right? >> Yeah. Okay. Well, I appreciate you being honest with me. Is that you, too? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> The young woman indirectly admitted to the theft by acknowledging that she had been at the store. At that point, she also gave officers additional information about the other members involved. >> Who's Who's these guys in the back? This girl and this kid with no shirt. >> Um, that's Yeah, she's rich. >> Yeah, >> I know who she is, too. >> You just know everybody. >> Yeah. You want to know why? Why? >> You want to know why? Cuz when that big party happened out there on Damn Road and all that [ __ ] got stolen and Johnny >> stole a gun from the house. Yeah. So I investigated all that. So now when I got these cases, >> what do I do about this? Like I have to pay them back or something. >> What kind of history do you have? >> I don't have a history. >> You have no criminal history at all? >> Well, I got in like a fight, but that was it. >> So who are these pe Who are these people in the What's their last name? >> I don't know. I have no clue. >> So, who do you think this girl is? >> I don't I don't know. Is it or I have no clue. I don't like that either. >> All right. >> I'm trying to find a >> No, I I don't know who that is. They still didn't seem to feel much remorse for what they had done, but their attitude quickly changed when police warned them about the consequences they could soon be facing. >> You guys need to stop stealing stuff, okay? It's going to lead you down a path >> that you don't want to go down. >> We talk about it a lot actually. >> Now you're going to get in trouble. They're cracking down because it's a problem at that Wawwa especially. >> Yeah. As well as 64. >> Yes. 64 in Lakewood Ranch. Um they want all you guys prosecuted. Um, so kind of is what it is. You're probably going to catch a theft charge. >> Are you for real? >> Yep. But it's a it's a petty theft. It's a misdemeanor. So, um, like you're not under arrest right now. Anything like that? >> I'm not going to get arrested. >> I I I honestly can't tell you whether you will or not. I got to look at your history and and see if you qualify for like a diversion program or something. If not, you're probably going to have a warrant for your arrest. And then you'll Yeah, you'll have to go to jail and then get booked out or you you know processed and released. >> No, >> for petty. >> I can't like pay them or nothing. >> Thanks. What do you want to do? >> Well, I I don't think they're interested in doing that cuz u like I said, it keeps happening. So now they're trying to like make an example out of everybody >> so that people stop stealing from their store. >> Don't make me an example, please. I'll never do it again. >> Okay. Well, thank you, sir. >> Thank you. Yep. Thanks. >> Police didn't stop with those suspects. After tracing the vehicle seen at the scene, they tracked down another suspect connected to the theft. Just like the girls before him, this young man showed no sign of remorse at all. >> I'm testing your honesty right now. Okay. >> Yeah, the tat. Um, if that's his t Yeah, >> there's the blue Impala. All right. So, just so you know, I'm not lying. >> I'm telling you everything I got. That Gigi, >> I think so. Yeah. >> Who's this girl with the black tube top? I'm not sure. >> Not sure. >> Not sure. I've seen her before. Don't know her name. >> Come on. >> I don't know her name. >> Need your help. All right. About this girl with the glasses. The girl with the glasses name is Carissa. I appreciate you being honest with me. Obviously, you know, you identified yourself from there. It's a petty theft. Okay. It's a misdemeanor. It's the lowest level of offense. You're probably going to have a warrant written for your arrest. you'll end up getting arrested and or you could turn yourself in, but um Wawa wants to prosecute everybody because it's an ongoing issue. I guess >> all right. You got any questions for me? >> No. >> How about you, Dad? You dead? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You got any questions for me? >> No. >> All right. My My suggestion is one, just don't steal at all. >> And and two, I would probably quit going to the wall up there. Yeah. I wouldn't I wouldn't go back if I were you. And I know it's uh kind of become a bit of a teen hangout lately, but they're watching hard and they want to crack down. So, >> all of the suspects questioned by police mentioned another person involved and days later, officers managed to track that suspect down. Unlike the others, she at least appeared to show some regret for what had happened. >> Um uh we should be honest, we were all drunk one night and we went there. I did take two cases of uh twisted teas, but >> Okay. I mean, why are you doing that? Just cuz you can't >> cuz you're not old enough to buy it and >> Yeah. I mean, like I have the money and if they want us to pay them back or >> whatever the case may be, I'll do that. I just I'll never do it again. I haven't done that. I haven't done it since. >> Okay. >> Let me show you some pictures. So, that was that's GG there, right? >> Yeah. >> All right. And then that's you obviously, right? >> Okay. kind of unmistakable with the tattoos and everything. >> Stop stealing. >> Don't steal. Period. >> Yeah. >> And and definitely don't steal from WA anymore cuz they want to prosecute all you guys. You're not under arrest. I'm not taking you to jail today. I appreciate your honesty. You're probably going to have a misdemeanor warrant at some point. You can either turn yourself in at that point or just wait until you get arrested. But um >> what happens if I turn myself in? Do I get like >> I mean you can turn yourself in at the jail once you have the warrant and they'll book you in and then you you'll have a bond and you'll be able to get released. >> Okay. >> I appreciate your honesty. Thank you. No more stealing. >> No sir. >> I know you guys. >> How are you? >> Uh thanks. >> Although she had been warned beforehand, the first woman, Giovana, still showed no sense of guilt even when police arrested her. What happened? >> We're just looking to talk to someone. Hey, >> I own this. >> Oh, is it here? >> Get these kids out of here. >> Hey, GG. Can't be stealing [ __ ] Come on, keep her out. I'm just call my mom. What am I getting arrested for? >> Your warrant that you have. Mom, >> they're busting me right now. >> Why did you even answer the door? >> I let him in. You can't have people with warrants living in these rental houses, dude. >> And I was going in either way. The address is on. >> Mom, new shoes back in there. >> My house. I think she walk around. >> Is the front door open? >> Yeah. >> Hey, can you get her a pair of shoes? You want a full job on or not? >> Mom's on your own here. >> Yeah. >> Do you have anything on you? >> No. >> Nothing at all? >> No. >> Um, sorry. >> Okay. >> I'm going to I'll sit in the back there. >> Thank you. >> Can I have a bail? >> Yeah. Like my mom's going to bail me out today. >> Yeah. You'll be there for a little little bit cuz you're an adult. >> We'll be able to bail you out. >> My mug shop better not be on Facebook. I swear. I'm putting it all over, bro. I literally prepared myself yesterday. >> I literally did my hair and everything yesterday cuz I thought I was going to get arrested yesterday. Like I was preparing myself to get arrested cuz everyone was saying I had a warrant. So, I was like getting ready for it. >> All the suspects were charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft. What did you think about these suspects? Did they repeat actions like this in the future? Leave a comment and let us know. Next, the man even tried to play innocent in an attempt to escape accountability. >> What? You searched everything I had. >> Sir, do you really think >> it's possible? >> Okay. Okay. Get in the car. We'll figure it out. You tried to steal a TV, but you didn't get away with it. And then you stole a soundbar and you tossed it over. >> You tried to do what? >> Yeah. >> On the 4th of January, 2025, officers stopped a man suspected of involvement in a theft at Walmart and fleeing through an emergency exit. When approached, he showed no intention of stopping. And this was what happened next. >> Run after you. I got two more guys coming on that side. Don't run. Don't run. Stop. Stop. What do you want to do? Don't Hey, stop. What are you doing? Step it up, guys. Step it up. I got him. He's resisting. Resist. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Victor's here. I got him in custody. All right, let's do a shot. Make sure I didn't have him down yet. >> Okay, >> stay over here. >> Stay put. Don't go anywhere. How about that? Come on. Hold on. Put your gloves on. >> Yeah. Can you watch that? Let me just [ __ ] these up. You got ID on you, bud? >> What? >> You got ID on you? >> What's that? I can hear you. >> Do you have ID on you? Are you from around here? >> You from around park? >> You got an ID on you? >> All right. Let me see your face. >> You don't look familiar. You're not from around here, huh? >> What are you talking about? I just got teased out for no reason. >> Shortly after, officers attempted to obtain the man's information, but he showed no concern about resolving the situation, forcing them to ask repeatedly many times. >> What's your first name? What can I call you? >> What's your ask you? What's What's that? >> That's what yours was. >> My Spregman. What's yours? >> First name. >> First name, sir. >> My last name is My First name is Sonia. What's your first name? >> 325. You got a badge number two. You going to play this game? >> What? >> What's your first name, sir? >> All right. >> I know this is >> Listen, man. We could do it the easy way or we could do it this way. You let me know what you want to do. I'm trying to help you out, bro. >> When is it for? What you doing? >> Okay. >> You tell me why why you're doing it. >> Absolutely. I'm going to tell you everything. Hop into my car. We're going to have a nice combo for a little bit. >> Take a seat. >> No, I need to know. Take a seat. >> Stop because you're possibly a suspect in a retail. >> Sit down. >> Yes, sir. Now, we're going to confirm that you are not. >> Did you find it on me? >> I'm sorry, sir. >> If I stole some, >> what would you search everything I had? Sir, do you really think? >> It's possible. >> Okay. Okay. Get in the car. We'll figure it out. >> The man denied the theft, claiming he had not been carrying any stolen items. In reality, he had stolen a TV and a soundbar and fled through an emergency exit, abandoning them before being stopped, then used that excuse to challenge the officers. >> Going to make sure before you take someone in. >> Yes, absolutely. Cuz I don't want to lose my job. I want to make sure I would get the right guy. >> So, what's a Stephanie? >> So, right now, you know what we're doing right now? We're going to have you sit right here and we're going to bring the guy who actually saw you steal and they're going to come over here and say if it's you or not. Okay? And if it's not you, guess what? Bye. And then we get to go home, too. But if it is you, you got to go back with me. >> What did I steal? >> I'm going to find that out right now. You tried to steal a TV, but you didn't get away with it. And then you stole a soundbar and you tossed it over. >> You tried to do what? >> Yeah. I don't know if it's you yet. That's what we're trying to find out. All right. So, just hang in there. And you know what? As a matter of fact, let me read you your right since you're talking to me. You just said it's for a theft. >> All right. >> I tried to do something. >> They do work out. It'll work. >> Well, that's what cameras are for. You got your Miranda rights on you. >> No, the camera will show. You know, cameras show. >> Yes, they do. So, just hang in there. Listen, if this is a mistake, it's a mistake. But mistakes happen all the time, right? >> So, you just got to be patient. >> Camera will show. >> Exactly. So, just be patient with me, sir. >> If I had it on. >> Correct. Correct. He did not deny any of the details provided by the store. Instead, acting confused and even stubbornly denying the situation. >> Do you understand what I just read to you? >> No, because it doesn't make sense. >> None of that made sense. >> No. >> Okay. You're under arrest right now for retail theft. So, take a seat in my car. >> What do I steal? >> You're under arrest right now for retail theft. Just sit in my car. >> We'll discuss that later. We're not discussing this outside at 10° right now. Okay. >> Take a seat. >> Take a seat, sir. >> What? What? What? As you tilt up, dog. >> Take a seat. >> Take a seat. >> Let's go. Take your feet in. Feet all the way up in there. >> We talking out here. >> I know. >> All right. Do me a favor. That's all I >> Yeah. Give me whatever. >> If you could give me some type of video right now, that'd be great. And then the rest will I'll send them a case. >> Blake's one back. >> Oh, he's over here. Okay. You want to run that? >> He's the one that did that. You want me to go see where the sound bars at? >> I guess we threw it over in the golf course. >> Yeah, I guess we could do that. I just want to get something on video before I start uh doing anything. And I'm sure he's not going to tell me who he is. So, I got to fingerprint his ass. >> Hey, thank you guys. Appreciate it. The officer took him to the police station to obtain his identification information, but nothing became easier as he had no intention of cooperating. All right. Do you have a driver's license? Have you ever had a driver's license or a state of a state ID issued by Illinois? Yes. No. Maybe. So, bro, I'm going to tell you right now. I'm I'm going to be honest with you. The more you make us work to find out who you are, the more charges you're going to get by the state's attorneys. Everything is audio and video recorded. So, the cooperation helps you in many ways. So, I want you to take a deep breath and think about how you're going to talk with me. If you're going to stay silent, we're going to have some major issues. You don't need to talk to me about what happened today. I don't care. I read you your rights. You want to talk? Great. You don't? Great. But I do need to identify you. Are you going to cooperate and tell me your first and last name? All right, man. Unfortunately, that's another charge. >> Oh, yeah. But now I got to identify him. So, I'll screen that and I'll let the state attorney know that he's not cooperating. Didn't give me an information. All right. Go ahead. Stand up. My name's >> I got to fingerprint him. >> You want to give him You want to give him a couple minutes to think about his name? >> You're all right, Nate. I don't care what people say about you. You're actually a nice guy. I don't have a couple minutes, but if you want to give him a couple minutes, I'll I'll give that to you. >> The man was ultimately charged with retail theft, a felony offense, along with obstruction of identification. His actions showed that attempting to avoid responsibility and refusing to cooperate with officers only made the situation worse, leading to more serious criminal charges and unavoidable legal consequences. Next, these shoplifterss even used innocent family member to make the situation more difficult. >> YOU GUYS GOT ME JITTERY. I'M 4 MONTHS PREGNANT. NO, let me out of these handcuffs now. >> My back. >> I have back problems. accident right now. >> On the 22nd of August 2025, police were dispatched to a Walmart store after reports claimed that two women had been shoplifting inside the store. Even worse, they were allegedly not alone during the incident. To make things clearer, loss prevention officers began breaking down everything through the surveillance cameras. >> That's her right there. That's her right now. >> So, is it just her or is it both of them? >> That's the only her friend. That's her friend. >> Okay. So she's not still >> technically the she's part of >> she um they they have drawers. >> She popped one of the drawers apart, stacked them too. So it looks like there's one, but it's actually two stacked on top. >> Okay. >> Yeah, they're together. >> They got a kid with them. That's the craziest thing. >> Do we know if they came in the car or do they have like a lookout? Do we know? >> She was the lookout. The friend was the lookout. >> Which way are they going? They're going the other way. >> She going to the bathroom. went to a restaurant. >> Can I tell the kid that their mom his mom's a loser? >> Child abuses. Wow. >> That's what I said. That's what I said. >> The other one [ __ ] bricks right now. I >> think he saw the two security guards walking. >> So, we're good on the on the black female. >> Yeah. >> Let's go grab her [ __ ] >> She's in the bathroom. >> I identify as a woman. One of the women allegedly rushed into the restroom, suspected of concealing merchandise to avoid detection. But the situation quickly turned chaotic once officers approached her. I need you to step on out. All right. >> I'm sorry. >> Step on out. You're concealing items. You're under arrest. >> No, I'm not. >> Yes, ma'am. You are. >> I just saw these items in here. I was just looking like what was up. >> These are my items here. >> That's right. You're under arrest. >> I NEED ARREST. >> RAINA. RAINA, >> I'm not resisting. I'm not resisting. >> I'm not concealing items. It's under paper. RAINA, >> I'm not concealing items, sir. Please, I need to call my paper. >> Stop resisting or you're going to get tased. >> Resisting. >> Give me your hand. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> I'm not resisting. >> Put your hand behind your back, ma'am. Hey, put away the taser. Grab it all. Give us your hand or you're going to get chased. >> Give us your hand OR YOU'RE GOING TO GET >> PLEASE COME GET NOAH. THEY'RE ARRESTING ME. >> COME GET NOAH. I DON'T KNOW WHY they're arresting me, bro. Please come get Noah. >> Come to the bathroom, bro. Stop. Stop. Bro, >> stop. >> Stand up. >> Stop. >> Stand up. >> Hey, stand up. Stand up. >> Stand up. Stand up. You're making things worse. >> Okay. Wait, wait, wait. My car. >> You're going to get more charges. Just stand up. >> I got to pull my pants up, please. >> Meanwhile, the other woman was stopped by another officer. And judging by what she had witnessed, she didn't seem willing to make things easy either. >> I'm right here. I'm right here. They're going to give me Noah. I'm right here. >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. >> No. Y'all got to give me my kid. Y'all can't do that. >> Listen. >> Listen. Y'all are going to give me my kid. I'm not put my hands on y'all. I'm not touching y'all. You can go get my kid. Okay, then I'm going to go get >> orders here. We're here because you guys are doing stuff in the store, RIGHT? >> DOING WHAT? TRYING TO PAY FOR SOME [ __ ] >> OKAY. What >> you talking about? Don't come at me like that. Don't come at me like that. Detain. YOU WANT TO CHECK MY PURSE CUZ I DON'T GOT YOU. >> YOU WANT TO hang out? You want to relax? Or I could put you in handcuffs and deny you. >> No, you can't do nothing. No. Come here. >> Come here, daddy. >> Take a step to the side. Step to the side. I'm not >> You going to give me my nephew. I'm going to tell you that right now. >> Step right here. Do not move again. If you move again, you >> I'm pregnant. Put your hand behind you. Excuse me. >> Relax. >> Excuse me. >> Relax. >> I'm pregnant. You're putting your hands on me. Please let go of me. >> I will cooperate with you guys. Please let go of me. >> Please let go of the phone. Let go. Let go. >> Like you guys are literally putting me in handcuffs for nothing. >> So you put your mind on your back. >> You guys do realize you're putting me in handcuffs for nothing, right? >> Hey, little man. Come here. Come here. Bubble. >> Get my baby. >> You should get my baby for us. >> The baby's coming with us. >> No. I need her to get my baby. The >> I'm interested in my baby girl. You're not taking my baby. >> Get my baby. >> I am, Adora. I am. I got you. Trust me. >> You can put it right around my jacket is what you can. >> Relax. You don't make orders around here. All right. >> Okay. >> Y'all do realize you're putting me in handcuffs for no reason, right? Knowing that I'm pregnant and I didn't do nothing wrong. Like, I literally have nothing on me, nothing in my purse, nothing. >> This is crazy. It was clear they were willing to escalate the situation, even with an innocent family member involved earlier. Even while stepping outside, she began asserting her rights as a citizen, seemingly as a way to reinforce her claim of innocence. >> So, >> we can't put you in there because the other person's in there. >> You cannot put me in there because I'm not going to jail for nothing. >> Seat. We never said you're going to jail yet. >> You need to take me out of handcuffs legally. You can Okay, let me call my lawyer. Take my handcuffs off. >> Take a seat. >> Take my handcuffs off cuz you cannot do this. You cannot do this. Yes. Can you take a seat, please? >> Bro, I got to get in front of my daughter. >> You're not working with me. I need to go home to my kid. My kid is at HOME WITH A BABY. >> TAKE A SEAT. >> KID, >> take a seat. >> What are you talking about? Get the off of me, bro. >> You're doing all this for NO REASON. >> NO, BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE NOTHING. >> SO, WHY THE DO YOU HAVE ME IN HANDCUFFS? >> ARE YOU GOING TO STEAL? NO, I DIDN'T. >> You're just making this longer than it needs TO BE. >> GET ME OUT THESE HANDCUFFS, BRO. >> You're just making it longer than these handcuffs. >> Take a seat. We get everything done with and then you can go about your business, RIGHT? >> FOR WHAT? I DIDN'T TAKE NOTHING. >> Are you going to Are you going to go inside the car? >> Bro, get me out of these handcuffs, bro. Cuz like I already feel like I need TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL. I DON'T FEEL WELL. YOU GUYS GOT ME JITTERY. I'MING 4 MONTHS PREGNANT. NO. LET ME OUT OF THESE handcuffs now. >> That's not going to happen. >> I have a daughter I need to get home to with a babysitter. >> Okay, good. Listen to me. Listen to me. >> This is This is This is not going to happen this way. Okay. >> You have me You know, you have me in handcuffs, right? And I didn't touch anything. I didn't steal anything. I don't have anything in my bag. I didn't steal anything. That's irrelevant. >> I was paying for everything that I had. >> That's irrelevant. >> Okay. No, it's not irrelevant cuz you got me in handcuffs for yelling you. >> Okay. >> She denied all accusations of theft, but inside the store, the situation with the other woman told a different story, especially after she was shown footage of her own actions. >> I didn't know that. >> I've done that before. I'm in the bathroom. I've purchased. >> That's fine. We have you on video selling items in your purse if that's the reason for your arrest. Okay. >> All right. >> So, once you can sell something in like a purse or in your property, that is a crime. Walmart is what they're still in charge. >> Is there somebody for the kid or is it a DCF thing? >> Kids with them. So, >> so it's emergency call out for DCF. >> I would I have a question. >> There's no more answers. >> DCF comes from my child. >> Put in the car. >> Like I'm so confused right now. >> Like come and check her out. >> Okay. You can put your way. They're on their way. They're on their way to check you out. Can I at least call my kids who are at home, please? Like, these are my children who are at home. I was not stealing. I don't even understand why you guys are had me in handcuffs. >> A babysitter. >> As soon as we get to the station, you can uh you can call them. Do you have another family member that could stand in her place? >> No, I don't. That's the thing. I was in the middle of moving. I didn't even know that she was taking anything. That's why I'm freaking out right now because why are police here? >> Stand up. >> What? >> My back. >> Your back. I have I have back homes. I have disc right now. >> In the end, she was charged with child abuse, retail theft, and resisting without violence. Involving a child in unlawful situations can quickly escalate legal consequences. And denying clear evidence only worsens the outcome once an investigation is underway. >> You're not 6'2. You ain't got blue eyes. Is what the ID is coming back to. identification. I really don't have my social security card. I don't have to get anything. >> On the 19th of December 2025, officers approached a man after receiving reports that he had used a fraudulent ID to rent a car. And the moment they confronted him, every glaring mismatch in his appearance was immediately pointed out. >> Hey sir, how you doing? So this is not coming back to a picture of you ID. What do you need? >> You're not 6'2. You ain't got blue eyes is what the ID is coming back to. >> Why do you say >> what? >> What does it say? 62 with blue eyes. >> It says you're 6'2, 6'2 with blue eyes, which does not match you. Correct. >> So, do you have another ID or what's your name? >> No, that's the ID they gave me at the DMV. >> Okay. >> Because I'm waiting on my paper cop card and all having to come. That's the paper cop they gave me. Okay. >> RG busy. >> Are you able to come to uh Alamo? >> We're doing an ID verification and it's not totally matching up. Yeah. Ground. Yeah. First first floor. Appreciate. I know it's on there, but what's your name? >> Yeah. >> And what's your date of birth? >> Um Excuse me. >> What year? >> Um 19. >> You're good. >> Have you ever had an ID out of another state? >> No. >> Only like I'm so confused. I'm like >> It could be said that the man had clearly prepared an advance by memorizing the information on the ID. And to further confirm that he had used someone else's identity, officers verified it through the system. name, >> it comes back to a different photo. >> Correct. >> Or that photo belongs to this driver's license. >> Correct. >> Theoretically, this guy's committing identity for us. Right. So, the only other thing we can do is contact uh C and see if they want to run it in any other way. But it appears like we have enough PC at the moment. So, I would just ask him additional questions to figure out if we can identify who he actually is. >> So, do you know like do you know your social know your social security number? But that I don't feel you're not going to know that out. >> No, I don't feel that out. >> Well, we're trying to ID you. >> I know this is coming back to you. >> It is. I was sent back to me. It's not coming back to you. I swear to you. It's coming back to me, sir. It's not coming back to you. So I >> if you if you want us if you want us to help identify who you are >> that is me I'm not on my social I don't I don't >> Okay. Well right now we're sitting at this is a fake you're committing identity theft because this is not it's coming back to a different person. >> How how is that coming back to a different person? Where's What is this? What does this person look like that is coming back? >> It's not you. >> Cuz I can assure you that it's I'm waiting for it to be made. >> Well, I'm not going to argue like either try to ID like either get all your social so we can help you out or we're going to have to arrest you for identity theft. >> Um I I just don't feel comfortable giving it back. instead of any any other way we can ID and I identify you. >> He showed no panic when officers told him the ID he claimed was his was fake, making it clear that he had already known that. Police gave him another chance to prove himself, but his answers only raised even more suspicion. >> If you want to identify yourself by social, you can. If not, I will arrest you. Okay, we'll give you a solution. Okay, what you identity the identity if you're telling me it's not me because you're using someone else's ID or a fake ID. >> That's what your social comeback to not to this not to this person's social. >> All right. And what is what is the social comeback? uh come he said you can't run it so we can so social can only do it >> but he was saying it's not matching up to this idea >> what social what's what state were you born out of what social would that come back to in a driver's license well I know it's your social well what you're telling me is your social what state would that driver's license be associated with a social for instance if If you had a driver's license out of North Carolina, your social would be associated with it. When you got a driver's license, other than the driver's license you're presenting, where would that social be attached to? It would be uh Okay. Um, is there a number from on your driver's license that you recall? Do you recall your driver's license number? >> Uh, no sir. off the top of my head. >> Okay. >> And why do you think it comes back from Did you have an driver's license? >> No, that's like right. >> He failed to prove anything at all. And everything the man said only dragged the situation out for no reason. So by that point, officers had made their decision. >> And I'm asking you if you're telling me that's you and it's not, I'm offering you an opportunity to tell me now the the truth. Just tell me the truth. Is that you? >> Uh, no. >> Right. Can you tell me who you are? Your actual real information. I want you to do is continue cooperating with with us. We're going to be nice to you. We're going to be respectful. We're not going to do anything outside of what we're allowed to do by law. All right? We're not going to violate your rights. We're not going to use excessive force. We're just here to figure things out. Can you just provide him your correct information? >> Yeah. >> All right. I appreciate it. What is it? Two of you. What do you have? >> What's your What's your name? What's your name? >> Thank you. >> Would you mind if I take a picture of you? It's going to be easier for us to locate that driver's license. >> What made you want to use someone else's driver's license? I My driver's license stolen. >> Stolen? >> Yeah. I I went to a friend cuz I had need identification in order to get um get back I can get a driver's license. So, do do you know how dangerous that is? Like I know you say it's a friend. I'm assuming it's a friend that has no like legitimate intention to do you good because he gave you information to someone that doesn't have that may have warrants. So when when whenever you give someone else's information, you don't know what's going on in that other person's life and you could end up going to jail over something that is you could have solved this problem many different other ways. >> He was charged with two felony counts of identity theft, one felony count of forgery, one felony count of criminal simulation, and one misdemeanor count of possession of methamphetamine. Using someone else's identity to solve a problem only creates bigger consequences that can quickly destroy your freedom. Next, the woman even ended up calling the police on herself. >> We got into an argument and of course he starts up. I'm recording you. >> You look crazy. You looking crazy. >> Did you lunge at him and fight with him over his phone? >> Yes, I tried to fight for his phone because he was trying to record me. >> On the 26th of April, 2026, police received a report of a domestic violence incident. Officers quickly arrived at the scene and found a woman in a state of panic. Let's see what happened. It >> looks like I'm a problem. >> Who you talking to? >> My cousin. >> Okay, >> let's hang up. We can call her back. >> Let's take Let's take a deep breath, >> dude. >> I know. Let's take a deep breath. >> You don't know. >> Okay. Okay. Hold on. Hold on. Let's take a deep breath. Try to gain some composure here for a second. You're all right. You're here with us. What happened? >> My boyfriend did the same [ __ ] to me. you done to me the past two years, which is gaslighting me and making me look crazy, but it's all out of reaction again. And I know it is, and I'm so frustrated by it, I tipped the band money, and he got mad about it. >> Okay. >> So then he after leaving me, he came back in and said, "I can either leave with him or stay." Then I said, "I'm going to stay." Like I did then. >> Where were you? >> Joe's. >> Okay. >> And I said, "I'm going to stay. I'm not going to be controlled anymore." So he said, "Fine. I'm going to throw your [ __ ] out." So I kicked back and all my things were thrown up by the room. I go away. >> So then you guys get like in an argument or something and then >> Yes. We got into an argument and of course he starts up. I'm recording you. >> You look crazy. You looking crazy. >> Did he threaten to hurt you at all? >> Not this time. All the time. >> Like previously, >> but but just now he didn't threaten to hurt you at all. >> This time it was Ival mental hospital. >> You have your ID on you? >> Yeah. I don't want to press charges. >> The woman claimed she was the victim of a man who manipulated her psychologically. But soon after, she also admitted that she had acted in ways she should not have. He recorded. He said that he started recording after I shoved him. And I know that I did shove him because he started saying all these things to me and I was like, are you kidding me again? >> So you you pushed him is what you're saying? >> Yes. Okay. >> I'm going to jail now. >> Oh, just find out. >> I just don't know what to do. Everybody told me I shouldn't get back with him and then I >> Okay. Well, some relationship advice. I was engaged for 2 years. Nobody knows your relationship like you do. Okay. >> And I shouldn't have gone back with him. >> Okay. >> And I don't want to go to jail. I'm so >> You're not going to go to jail. >> But what if he says that I pushed on? You guys believe me? And then this is going to make me go to jail. >> It's not about believing. It's about >> I saw what happened with Taylor that girl. Everybody believed her and then they made her go to jail. >> It's not so frustrated. Everybody was right. Everything he was saying. >> That doesn't matter right now. >> Melissa, that doesn't matter right now. I like whatsoever. Listen to me, please. I know you're scared. I know you're frustrated. I get all the things. It's all right. >> I call that a frustration. >> I need you I need you to listen. Okay, we take both sides. You're leaving. Okay, so we're going to All we attempt to do is make sure everybody's safe. We separate the parties. Okay, you're obviously leaving. We're going to go up and talk to them. What I need you to do now is get on your phone and try to find another hotel because we the only thing I care about is your safety and where you're going to stay after this. >> He's going to say it's on my phone because at the end I was fighting with him for his phone. So he's it's all going to be on me and then I don't care what he says. Listen, I don't care what he say. >> But it's on proof. He says on the video that I'm fighting with him for his phone and look at me. >> We're going to deal with that later. >> If that's the case, we'll deal with it later. Has he been drinking? >> Is he drunk? >> He's been drinking the same as I have. So yes. >> All right. So, we're going to have a cop come out. We're going to I guess keep it down here. >> Yeah. >> We'll have somebody stay with him. We'll go up here. >> He's going to take care of you for now. Okay. While we go up, let >> me show you. I mean, >> you can show up for >> Through the story from her own testimony, it could be seen that she was the one who escalated the situation to make it more dramatic in order to blame her boyfriend. She even further admitted that she was the one who started it first. >> Physical. Nobody else. >> I pushed him. I mean, push him. It's not like if he was approaching you and he just push him. It's >> I don't even know what I should have shoved him. But I'm just >> I mean he was he was approaching me. So I went to grab his phone. >> And then I started to grab his phone and then we fought about his phone and then he was like, "Look at what she did to my hands." And I was like, "Look what you did to my hands over it. So isn't that just as bad? Aren't I the bad guy? I've seen the video recordings about that girl. Aren't I going to be the one in trouble now? >> Did he ever touch you before you pushed him or did he was he just >> Not tonight. >> Okay. So, after you shoved them then what happened? >> Then he grabbed his phone saying, "See, she just shoved me. She just shoved me." After he said thanks to me again like he has the past 2 years. >> So after he shoved him, he didn't shove you back or touch you. >> No. And then after that, we had a conversation and then it was, "See, she's fighting me about my phone. See, she did this to me. See, she did that. But never mind the fact that the past two years I have literal texts of him saying, "I want to hire somebody to beat the out of her. I want to fly down there and slap the out of her." >> Well, did you call or did he call? >> I called cuz he kept telling me. >> He kept telling you to call? >> Yes. >> For what? Because if I have such a problem, call the police because he's kicking me out of his hotel room that he paid $10,000 for for the whole weekend for his birthday after we broke up a month ago because I was finally done with this [ __ ] and he hasn't changed. I And now he's saying I'm drunk. I have an alcohol issue. I don't have an alcohol issue. I've never ever >> The woman's statements ultimately became self-inccriminating. So, the officers reverified the facts once more before proceeding with their decision. >> So, they're they're going to be very direct questions. Did you hit his phone out of his hand? >> Yes, I grabbed it and I went to pull it out. >> After you did that, >> yes. >> Did you lunge at him and fight with him over his phone? >> Yes, I tried to fight for his phone because he was trying to record me after he didn't even tell me he was recording me. >> So, listen. He's got an injury to his right forearm. In the state of Florida, battery, whether domestic or not, which in this case it's domestic, is an unwanted touch or strike that he didn't want you to hit his phone, and he didn't want you to lunge at him to get to get his phone. So, you're going to be under arrest for battery. Okay? Now, listen. Listen. I understand everything you said beforehand. It's documented. Okay? But because of your actions, hitting him and struggling with him over the over the phone, we have enough probable cause to arrest you for battery. You understand that? Do me a favor and turn around. Put your hand behind your back. Don't struggle with me, Melissa. Just >> turn around. >> Don't try to run. >> What? >> We're going to handle that here in one second. Okay. >> Um, where's >> I don't know what's Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. >> I didn't know. >> So, listen. Listen, listen. We're going to go to the jail. Okay. You're going to listen. You're going to see a court or you're going to see a judge in the morning. >> In the morning? >> Yes. In the morning. Okay. What we're trying to do here is help you out by putting all of your stuff in your car. When you get out, whenever that is, at some point tomorrow, you can Uber back here and get your car. >> She completely tried to avoid all fault on her side. In fact, she became the one who called the police on herself. The police then gave her advice. This >> is super straightforward. Okay, listen. Listen to me. Listen to me. >> There's something moving. I was engaged for 2 years. I was in a kind of a similar situation. Okay. in another state. Okay. Now, in the state of Florida, like I told you, we don't have the luxury of this or that. Okay? Sometimes in the past, the victim says, "Hey, I don't want anything done." And they dropped it completely. Okay? I'm not saying that's what's going to happen, but in the past that has happened. Okay? You understand that? Okay? So, listen. Your life's not ruined. Okay? It's it's a misdemeanor charge through battery. But >> like I have text message proof of him saying I want to slap the [ __ ] out of you just for saying that. And like with all these double standards and it's all just reactive things like he's allowed to say things to me. And I know I shouldn't have grabbed his phone and I'm sorry that I did but how come he's allowed to do all these abusive things to me and I can't defend myself? I should never have called. I didn't know. I thought you guys would just help me get away from him. I just thought I need help for us to both separate for the better for both of us and not us get in trouble. I didn't want him to get in trouble. And he's the one that's been abusing me mentally for 2 years. I don't have like a lawyer that I know to help me in this situation. I am not a violent or mean person. and I know I'm not and everybody I know I knows I'm not. >> The woman was ultimately charged with domestic battery. The case shows that emotional distress or past relationship conflict does not justify physical aggression. Once someone resorts to physical force, they may still face legal consequences regardless of context. Next, shifting the tone into this chaos. >> I'm outside cuz I'm going to her up. >> So you don't know who she is? >> I DON'T KNOW WHO THAT GIRL IS. OH, they just want to take me to jail. >> Yes, you're going to jail. Okay, you are under arrest. Okay, we're trying. >> I'm going to walk. What the are you talking about? >> On November 10th, 2025, officers received a report from a Chipotle about a fight that had occurred inside. For more details, listen to the statement from this employee. >> What happened? >> I was in the store. They came in arguing. I thought they were going to go their separate directions. They did not. They kept continued fighting. So, I got involved and I was like, "Girl, it's not >> Who who was the primary aggressor, do you think? like he was really >> they were both going at it. They were both aggressing each other. >> All right. >> And then the fight started. >> She just left from the back. She opened our back door and then >> so you probably cuz the car heard >> Okay. >> Hello. >> Hi, I'm officer S with Brookton Police Department. Do you mind to tell me what's going on today? So that way we can let us know who that white girl is. Well, she just swung on me. So I'mma beat her ass. >> Okay. So I was >> like I told you. >> Okay. So I wasn't here, right? So my name's Officer Sanger. Some people call me Mookie. What's your name? When you're ready. Okay. >> All right. You can do >> I don't want to talk. I see red right now. I want to fight. I DON'T CARE TO TALK. I WANT TO FIGHT. I DID NOT TOUCH THAT GIRL. SHE PUT HER HANDS ON ME. I'M GOING TO HER UP. I DON'T WANT TO TALK. I WANT TO FIGHT. STOP TALKING TO ME. It was clear that although officers approached her calmly, she chose to handle the situation through wrongful violence. At that moment, she revealed the story behind it >> because my friend pulled into a parking spot. So, she gets out the car talking. So, I'm like, "What the are you talking about? You this man over parking spot?" SO, I'M LIKE, "GIRL, WHAT THE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" We in the place. We in there arguing. She swing on me and she's trying TO RUN. SO, I GRAB THAT BY HER HAIR and I start tagging her ass. SO, WHEN SHE COME OUT, I'mma her up. >> Okay. So, how did you get the the mark on your lip? Did she do that? She punched you in the face. >> That's what I just said. >> Okay. Sorry, I didn't completely understand the wording that you used. Okay. >> Who are you? >> All right. >> You guys together? Are you okay with her? >> I'm actually TALKING TO ME. >> OH MY GOD, BRO. And I'm going to her up. >> Okay. >> Where is she at? >> Are you friends? >> What's her name? >> No. No. No. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. >> Okay. Okay. >> I need you. NO. NO. NO. YOU NEED to take a >> Because the woman had completely lost control of her mind, her statement was difficult to trust. So officers proceeded to gather testimonies from several other witnesses. >> I saw a cluster of three or four girls all had each other by the hair beating the [ __ ] out of each other. >> Okay. >> And first I saw a guy who was like backing up like this in the corner like didn't want nothing to do with it. And then I panned over, see the group of girls. At least one or two of them worked there. >> Okay. >> And the guy eventually went over and pulled one of the chicks off. And then everything from there was kind of like below the sighteline of the tables and I couldn't see. >> Okay, I appreciate it. Did you see a fight? >> I didn't see the fight, but I saw what happened originally. >> Okay, what happened originally? >> Um, sorry for my descriptive terms. The white girl comes >> walking up. I was already just sitting here eating. The white girl comes walking up in the back of the parking lot and the other girl that's now yelling out front >> and she's already walking and she's the white girl is going >> what did the white do you know what the white girl was wearing? >> Um black hoodie and baggy sweatpants and there was a red >> black hoodie baggy sweatpants. >> Um like a bag a red >> Hey, we're going to go check >> and I think she's still in the bullet. I haven't seen her walk out. >> Okay, >> maybe she's in the bathroom or something. I don't know. Okay. But >> um she was the one that walked up first yelling, "Girl, what's wrong with you? What's wrong with you?" And she kind of >> returning to the suspect, she had become calmer, and officers attempted to explain what needed to be done to resolve the situation quickly for her. >> She got upset, came in, and swung at you, caused this, and then she tried to run away, so you stopped her. >> Yeah, that's what I said. >> Okay. Well, I need to confirm what you said, okay? cuz I don't want to make I don't want to have any information wrong. >> Are you waiting her here because you want to fight her? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, if that's the case, then I'm going to have to prevent you from doing that. Okay. Cuz we're not going to have a fight. We're not going to have a physical altercation where you're waiting to fight her. Okay. Now, if she needs to go to jail today for what she did, then I need you to work with me to tell you what's go tell me what's going on. Okay? If she's the one who caused the problem today, we want to do something about that. Okay. >> Okay. So, go find her then. >> Well, I can't find out what she looks like. I don't know. >> We're trying to help you to prevent you from getting in trouble. We're trying to see you do this to you to make sure you're not at fault. If you don't want to work with us, that's an issue for you. We're trying to help. Do you want to work with us or not? Cuz if your solution to this is fighting her, that's not going to end well for anyone here. So, do you want to work with us or not? We're going to help you. >> We're just going to be stubborn. >> I already told y'all what I want. No, you didn't. So, you said I want to beat her ass. >> We can't do that. Can't do that. We can't watch that. Then automatically you have to go to jail. Is that what you want to do? You want to go to jail? >> You see in the red right now? I get it. You're hot in the head. I get it. But did you take a breath? >> Meanwhile, another officer gathered statements from the store employees and obtained their decision regarding what had happened. >> Gray sweater. >> What else? >> Sweatpants. >> Uh-huh. >> And then she was about yay high. Like just a bit taller than me. >> Okay. >> And then she had blonde like yellowish hair. Okay. >> And then >> that's all I can describe. And then she had um that was really Oh, her keys. She had um >> she had this like towel character on her she on her towel character on her keychain. >> She was like towel. >> Yeah, like a towel on her keychain. >> Okay. I'm trying to see if I can get video footage. They don't have access to it at the moment. >> Oh, really? >> Um >> um she But that girl supposedly they were in here when when they fought, so I want to see the footage. >> I thought I went outside. No, they went outside after the fight. Apparently something about parking. She came in here and then swung at her and then she went to run away and she grabbed her and threw her down. >> Who threw her down? This girl threw her down. >> Yes. >> After she The other girl swung at her >> after the other girl. You see the her her lip and her thing after she swung at her. >> He does. Okay. Can I see? >> I mean, you don't really Oh, yeah. There you go. Oh [ __ ] >> And then the girls on the right. >> Do you mind if I re look at it? >> Yeah. Okay. >> Still haymaker. >> Yeah. So >> I heard I seen you marsh bro. I was like I don't think I >> Thank you guys. Thank you everybody. >> We can trespass both of them. >> Sure. >> Please. I'll let them know. Can I have your >> new one? Because the other one we >> The other one's gone. I can't trespass. Somebody's not here. Can >> I like my >> your ID? Yeah. >> Like my license ID? >> Yes, please. >> That's how I trespass somebody is I need You're considered the manager. >> Still waiting on this. >> At that moment, officers explained the trespass decision from the store. Yet, both suspects seemed indifferent to their wrongdoing, showing no remorse at all. >> Hey, Mariah, you've now been trespassed from the store. or the manager no longer wants you to be here. So, you have to leave the store in the premises. >> Okay. >> How am I going to leave if I don't if I didn't drive? >> Sorry. >> How am I going to leave? >> You can go to the next property or you can go to the sidewalk over there, but you can't stay here. Okay. Would you like to sign a refusal form to say you don't want to prosecute against her with my sergeant? Would you like to? Okay. Well, you don't have to talk to me, but you got to leave. If you come back here within a year to this property, you will be arrested. Okay. >> You're you go right now. Is is uh >> if she don't leave, >> she's going to end she's going to get arrested by somebody here tonight. >> Okay. So, she's got to leave. >> Can I Is that her car? >> This is Casey's car, but they came together. >> Okay. Can she drive? >> No. I she probably could, but I she's frantic, so I don't know if I was just gonna take them and go back to campus and then bring somebody to come get >> Okay. >> So, can I put her in that car for right now while >> if she's will if she has to leave, right? >> So, that's the biggest thing. She's got to leave. >> That's that's her car, but she's having a panic attack. She can't drive right now. She's got her. And then she's also willing to take >> Okay. So, do you think it would be better if I take them right now and then come back and get your phone? That would be the best idea. >> Thank you, Jade. >> Be very helpful. >> What seemed like the end did not satisfy the suspects and chaos erupted once again. >> All right. All right. All right, guys. Guys, guys, no. No, no. We're not doing this. WE'RE NOT HEY, HEY, HEY. BRO, I'M TRYING TO WALK, >> BRO. >> BRO, call my auntie, bro. >> Is that her? Is that her >> I'm not talking. >> Okay. Y'all don't got to man. Y'all don't got to man. >> I'm relaxing. >> Call my auntie. >> 561. Not Jade. Can you please get your phone and call my auntie, please? Yes. Oh, they just want to take me to jail. >> Yes, you're going to jail. Okay, you are under arrest. Okay, we're trying. >> I'M GOING TO WALK. WHAT THE are you talking about? All y'all are me. I'm 125 [ __ ] pounds. >> This is not what we wanted to do tonight. >> Clearly, it is cuz we doing it. >> I beg you to leave, >> bro. I was going to walk to school. >> Sorry. You're okay. >> What are you talking about? I don't want to be in no car right now. I want to be by myself and cool the All right, have a seat. She was charged with trespassing after warning and resisting without violence. Losing control of emotions and choosing violence over cooperation only turned a solvable situation into legal consequences. Next, two women who both tried to run, but the outcome did not end well. >> Can I get my receipt, sir? >> I'm going to get my receipt. You don't have to touch me. Going to go right there. >> Okay, I'm going to get Okay, >> keep going. >> On the 24th of June, 2024, police were dispatched to Target after reports of a theft in progress involving two women who allegedly attempted to push shopping carts out of the store without paying. When officers arrived at the scene, this was what unfolded. Is she the other one? >> Yes. >> Ma'am, >> hold on. Please. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> I understand. Please stop. >> Stop. Now go in the mall. I don't >> Can I get my receipt, sir? >> Right here. >> I'm going to get my receipt. You don't have to touch me. >> You're going to go right there. >> Okay. I'm going to get Okay. I I just I just came out. I'm not with her. >> Okay. Do you have your receipt or no? >> Why do you have to go to your car? >> Because I got it on my phone, sir. >> Okay. Then show me on your phone. >> Okay. >> Two separate things. >> I don't know what they have going on. They're two separate things. Okay. >> That's what I'm saying. Yeah, that's what I'm asking you. If you >> I don't have I don't know what's going on. >> Stop and listen to me. If you didn't steal, do you have a receipt? >> Yes, I have my receipt. But I'm trying to figure out why he running after me. I don't even I don't even know. >> Where is your receipt? >> It's in my purse. But I'm still I don't even know them. >> Let me have your receipt then. I'll get you out of here in 10 seconds. >> Why would you want to know? >> Okay. Give me a second. I'll give you like what the >> I'm going to give it to you, sir. >> Stop and give me the receipt right here. >> Please shut out. I'm going to give it to you. It became clear this woman never truly intended to hand over the receipt as she immediately tried to move away toward her car, forcing officers to stop her. But moments later, the situation suddenly escalated when she unexpectedly took off running, triggering a chaotic pursuit. >> Stop. >> What is she doing? >> Get down. >> You give us traffic. >> Get down. You have to do that. I'm telling you, I'm going to give it to you. I'm Stop. Keep going. >> Get out of me. >> Stay down. Put your hand behind your back. >> Alter me. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> I'm going to get it. I'm going to give you >> Stop. >> I'm going to give this to you. >> Stop, >> bro. You're not doing the load. >> Put your hands behind your back now. >> I'm going to give it to you. >> You ain't doing nothing now. >> Damn. Y'all doing the mode. >> We're detaining one now. >> Whoa. I'm going to give it to you. >> Y'all doing too much. Keep your hands there, >> bro. I'm going to give yall the receipt. >> Yeah, there's another black female. 23 description. >> I'm going to give you What's the other one? >> She was over there in a brown dress. >> I'm going to give you the receipt. >> We got the one with black pants and a burgundy sweater. >> Whoa. I'm going to give y'all the receipt. >> Shut up about the receipt. >> She kept claiming she was trying to show police the receipt, but she had just walked out of the store, so why would she need to go somewhere else to find it? Meanwhile, the other woman was believed to be fleeing the scene, only further proving the theft was real. >> About $800. >> Okay. And you guys want to prosecute, please? >> Absolutely. >> You know where the other one went? >> Uh, she took off when she started running, so she went off west side. >> Are you okay? >> Yeah. Just passes over there. >> I'm finally gave you the receipt. >> We're past the receipt at this point. You understand that, right? >> Well, we're walking back to the front now. my carp. >> They're over there if you can grab them. >> What? >> Ray, did you see what way she ran? >> No, I left her when I saw you fighting. >> How did I get you on your feet, bro? >> She was wearing a gray uh cardigan or sweater. She had long black hair and then um >> gray sweater, long black hair. That's right. >> Yeah, she was pretty slow over there and then I left when she was fighting him. >> I wasn't fighting him. I was trying to get you in the receipt, but he grabbed me. >> Shut up with the receipt. >> What you mean shut up? >> Take her to the car. >> Put her in the car. >> Did they leave on the vehicle or >> not? >> Uh I I don't know. We We didn't get a chance to talk to him. >> Uh black. Uh, I don't see where it is. Just from prior incidents, that's the vehicle they had been using. >> The woman arrested moments later was taken to the patrol car, but she did not make things any easier as she immediately began using her condition to complicate the situation. >> Hello. Can I breathe? I don't want to be closed in. We got AC running. >> I was literally going to give him my receipt and he grabbed me. >> Okay. You could have g him the receipt. >> That's what I was trying to do, but he grabbed me. Okay. >> Like I said, stay to that. All right. You stick to that one. And you try to run. Why? >> Because he tried to grab me. What is he grabbing me for? >> That's what I'm trying to figure out. What is he grabbing me for? >> Right. Put your feet in. We got the AC running. >> You mess going to come over here and wipe it down and take off. >> They've taken from here before >> in here. >> Yeah. >> This one particularly. Okay. >> Okay. Are you okay? No injury. >> Thank god you're so fast. >> What's hurting? >> My elbow and my my toe. >> Okay. So, that's what Did you fell or how did that happen? He tried. He threw me down. >> Oh, were you running away? >> No, I was just trying to get the rest. Yes, I I was running cuz he tried to grab me. >> Oh, you ran away. >> Yeah, cuz he was trying to grab me. >> Cuz you didn't stop. >> Okay. >> The woman deliberately acted like a patient in need of care, but she had no idea all of her actions had already been confirmed by the loss prevention office. >> I can't breathe. >> That's the one that's missing. >> No, that's the one I fought with. Oh, wait. No, no, no. >> I'm sorry. You're right. You're right. Yeah. >> Can I just give your first and last name? >> I can't breathe. >> Can you tell me your first and last name, though? >> It's hard. >> All right. Sh. >> I got one receipt. Um, he's working on the other one, but I saw something. >> Were they Were they together? >> Yeah, >> they always come in. >> Yeah, they'll push you in two separate parts. >> You're not able to tell me your name? It's fine. If you don't want to, you can just say, "I don't want to tell you." >> You don't want >> my chest. My chest. >> Just say you don't want to tell me. It's fine. That's all. That's all I need to hear. >> So, she starts backing up. So, I come around the car. I said, "Stop. Show me a receipt. I'm going to show you a receipt." She kept backing up. I said, "Stop." So, that's when I grabbed her wrist. She pulled away. I grabbed her sweater. It came off and she took off running. So, I ran after her. I'm slow as hell. My trainee caught her. So, we got her down, cuffed her, and that's that. >> Daniel, good work. That was just That was crazy. I've never seen anything like that in my life. >> Sir, these handcuffs is tight on my arm. Ow. >> Both women were charged in connection with the theft after attempting to flee the scene. Some people believe running away will save them from the consequences, but in the end, it often only makes the situation far worse. >> Why? Now they're ARRESTING ME. MOM. ON THE 13TH OF MARCH 2024, police investigated a hit and run after a woman allegedly changed lanes and struck another vehicle. But when officers approached her, she bizarrely acted as if she was the victim instead. >> Hey, how you doing? >> Good. >> Whose vehicle is that? Is that your mom? >> Yes. >> Okay. Is your mom here, too? >> No, she's not. >> Okay. I looked at the video. >> Uh-huh. >> It's not It's not benefiting you. Why not? He hit me from behind if he hit me. >> Ma'am, you're in the other lane. You crossed in front of him. Okay. So, you can't do that. >> Uhhuh. >> All right. So, what I need is your license and insurance to the vehicle >> from for him hitting me from behind. >> I need your information. Now, you left the scene of a crash. We're not going to go down this leaving the scene of a crash. >> Are you being serious right now? >> Being serious? >> Okay. Give me a second. If you >> I'm going to shut this door. I have somebody in here. >> I I need >> Okay. Yeah. Uhhuh. >> Yeah. >> The woman clearly showed her frustration at the sight of police. Going back inside her house had also been her way of seeking backup because she could not handle the situation on her own. And the moment she returned, everything proved exactly that. >> Give him my the insurance information. >> Um because he's saying that oh he if if anything he hit me from behind, right? So So my my issue is I didn't I didn't know that if he hit me or not and I didn't really know what was going on. >> This was 20's headache to begin with. >> She tried to manipulate the officers attempting to steer attention toward the male victim, but it failed completely as the police already knew exactly what to do at that point. Not only that, there were other individuals, including one man and one woman, believed to be accompllices alongside him. And more clearly, shortly after, the blackclad suspect separated from the group and began stuffing all merchandise into his bag as if no one could see him.
