I want to welcome you to this ribbon cutting ceremony of the Northeast Public Safety Facility. Thank you everybody for being out here. We're super excited um you know for the opening of this. It's for the citizens in district 5 and six because it's going to affect both of those council districts um because we've had one substation covering 74 square miles for a very long time and the city has grown so much. So, we're we're more than appreciative of the support that we get from the citizens, but they're the ones that are going to get the benefit out of this. Seconds matter in our jobs and and response times matter and the things that we do and the to work out of a facility like this is truly a gift to the community and I can't be happier for our citizens and and the ability and the impact that we'll be able to have for that. Our response times in this area are going to dramatically drop and give you we're going to get here much quick quicker. Minutes saves lives. You know, we're so fortunate. We have such a great working relationship. Our men and women and both police and fire work together multiple times a day and just living out of the same station just fosters that relationship and we're looking forward to that as well. >> Where do they come into work every day? Where are they what what what are the locker rooms like? What are the aesthetics of that? What is their wellness? Um, when you walk through this building, you will see everything from the briefing room to our community room to our locker room to the rollup doors to where we do our defensive tactics training to uh decompression rooms. They're all built with our people in mind. And that is the theme not only for the city, but it's a theme for our police department. >> Mesa Police and Fire and Medical are always pushing the boundaries to innovate. And this shared facility is a perfect example. Having Mesa's officers and firefighters stationed here, ready to respond at a moment's notice, will save lives and offer invaluable peace of mind to everyone in our community. As we put the final touches on this building, thank you. I want to thank our incredible first responders. [Applause]
