Our community is suffering right now and we want to be able to alleviate some of that pain and give them a little something to smile about. So that's what we're doing here at Sunshine. >> You get this, this, and then there's the back of the table as well. >> What we're seeing is a crazy increase in the need and we're just trying to serve as many people as possible with the resources that we have. >> My name is Rashidita Saunders and I am the police liaison for the Sunshine Division. We've been in the community for over 100 years. Our partnership with the Portland Police Bureau allows us to if we see a need to fill the need. So patrol officers, they're on patrol 24/7. So if they they come across a situation, they're able to provide food or clothing assistance immediately. That's why this partnership between the Sunshine Division and the Portland Police Bureau is so important. We are definitely feeling the strain. We've extended our pantry hours. We've asked for all the volunteers to come and assist us, but we just need as much as we can because we only have so much. So, your help is needed. Your help is necessary. What can the community do to help us? Give us money. Um, obviously, I know that sounds crazy, but Sunshine Division, they have a lot of connections with local distributors, so they're able to buy food at a lower cost. So, if you all are able to send us donations, we're able to buy more food than you would if you just went to Fred Myers and bought a bag of groceries. We're just here to help. We're just here to do our part. We're community members helping community members. >> And did you want potatoes? >> The need is going to probably continue to grow in Portland. And nobody should go without food. Nobody should be hungry.
