From shoplifterss facing minor charges to suspects being handled like dangerous criminals, everything depended on how far they took their own behavior. When they ran into nononsense cops, it always ended the same way. These are the times when crazy shoplifterss got humbled by cops. Before we get started, don't forget to take a sip of water and prepare yourself for what's ahead, where this is law. Don't forget to like the video and subscribe. Let's start with this woman who assaulted someone and then tried to portray herself as the victim. >> Bro, bro, get off of me. Get off of me. >> Oh, grab my phone. >> No, no, I need it now. My cigarettes, my phone, my money, everything. >> On the 15th of September, 2025, officers responded to a report of a shoplifter woman who had gotten into a physical altercation with an employee inside a store. Even after police arrived, they still had to struggle with her and backup officers were eventually called in to assist. >> Excuse me. Everybody needs to go outside. >> Yo yo, back up. Back up. Yo, let's go. Back up. Back up. >> Go. >> Bro, bro, get off of me. Get off of me. >> Go ahead. >> Get off Put your hands BEHIND YOUR [ __ ] BACK. >> Get off of me. Yo, that look, bro. [screaming] LET ME GO. >> ARE YOU GOING TO GET UP? >> Let me go. STOP AND GET UP, BRO. >> Officers escorted the woman outside so she would not disturb the other customers inside the store. However, that did little to calm the situation [music] as she continued causing a loud disturbance outside as well. >> Y'all weird. >> SIT UP. >> NO. DON'T TALK TO ME NOW. >> SIT UP. I'ming here. >> Sit up. Let's go. >> Yo, >> let's go. >> Yo, BRO, THAT'S WEIRD. [screaming] >> STOP. PLEASE STOP. >> I HAVE TO PICK HER UP, >> BRO. THAT HURTS. STOP. STOP. STOP. >> 1 2 3 go. GO GET IT. PLEASE GO GET IT. >> Stand up. >> It was clear the woman failed to recognize the situation she was in. She was already a suspect under arrest for resisting officers. Yet, even while being escorted to the patrol car, she continued trying to use her rights as a way to make things more difficult for the officers. >> WAIT, I'M TRYING. STOP TOUCHING ME. I HATE WHEN PEOPLE TOUCH ME. >> You got to understand. You're under arrest. >> Take it off my arm. >> You're under arrest, ma. >> No, bro. No. I'm telling you to take this off my arm. [screaming] STOP. >> LEG IN THE CAR. >> She even pulled the race card, insisting she was being racially discriminated against, even though nothing about the incident indicated that race played any role. >> Oh my god. >> You You know you MAKING THIS MORE. >> NO, I'M NOT. [screaming] HOW? I WORK ALL DAY, EVERY DAY FOR MY MONEY for the WHITE PEOPLE TO BE TALKING TO ME CRAZY. >> NO, [screaming] >> that [ __ ] is weird. >> Mama, listen. Put your foot inside. >> Yo, that is weird, bro. That is weird. >> Put your foot inside. >> That's all she had to do was give me back my money. My key not in there. >> Put your foot inside. >> Wait. Check. Check. >> Put your foot in in the vehicle. >> I see. >> I'm about to go inside and check. But you're uh I checked in there. They can't find your keys. >> Yo, see that's what I mean. That's theing [ __ ] bro. >> Can you put your foot inside? >> Check. >> I already checked. >> Check. Please. [laughter] >> Y'all, they're going to do some [ __ ] >> By this point, [music] medical personnel had arrived to assess her condition. But even while being examined, she continued acting as though she was the victim in the situation. >> Hey, hang on. >> I'm going to take off this left hand. Relax. >> Which shoulder is it? >> Which shoulder is it? >> It's this way. >> Your right hand. >> All right. So, he's taking the left one out. >> I'm taking the left one out. All right. >> My wrist hurts, >> man. You got to relax. >> All right. Relax. Relax. I'm trying to take it off. Can you put the light on the on the cuff? >> Yo. [laughter] >> All right. >> Relax. [laughter] >> [laughter] >> So she good in the hospital. >> Dad's official for right now. >> So do you want to go to the hospital or now? >> Listen, he's going to check you. Make sure you don't got no weapons. The only thing that's going to stay on your purses is your cash. Okay. You >> got everything in your pocket. >> You guys took all the stuff. >> What' you say? You >> guys took all the stuff. >> You got your keys, you got your phone, you got everything on me. [laughter] >> That's what you said to take it somewhere specific. Don't push. >> I got it. Don't push [laughter] my >> I took a step to make sure nothing else is missed. I left. The woman was charged with aggravated battery, battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property. When you respond to a minor incident with violence and resist law enforcement, the consequences can quickly escalate into multiple serious criminal charges. Next, this woman tried to play innocent, but she ran into a nononsense cop. Do you have any? >> Nope. Let's go. I show you that I paid for I had a link. >> Here's how this go. I ain't got nothing. I ain't stole nothing. Are you going to listen to me? Will you listen to me? >> Will you listen to me? >> On the 22nd of January, 2026, officers were dispatched to a grocery store after receiving a report of a woman causing a disturbance inside. As soon as they arrived, the suspect walked out and began denying everything before the officers could even say anything, as if she was trying to get ahead of the situation. >> I don't like I just purchased this. >> Okay, come on. Listen to me, sir. It's not okay because I don't like it and it's going wrong going left. These people just told me this. >> He said I'm I'm in here. I ain't supposed to be here. I'm at work. >> My client said across there in that building right there >> at the apartments. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I come here every Tuesday and Thursday. I've never stole nothing. I've never taken nothing. They came here and he came back here and said something to me and I told him I said, "No, I ain't never took nothing. I ain't never done nothing." He said, "Well, we want you out here right now." "Why would you want me out of here right now?" And I'm I'm purchasing my food. I ain't done nothing wrong. >> No. No. I wasn't. >> You have a driver's license on you and I on? >> I don't have nothing on me. >> Can I get your name real quick? >> My name is Sha Smother. >> Hold on. >> See, and I don't even like this. >> Okay. Well, I just got to I just got to find out who I'm talking to. Can you spell your last name for me? Calm down for a second. You know what I'm saying? >> I can't come down. >> Don't be in the text. >> Okay. Listen. Listen. >> No. No. No. >> What's your date of birth? >> Look at you. You here for me? >> I am. And I got to get your information. >> You here for me? And I ain't done nothing. >> Listen, I need you to calm down. >> I can't calm down, miss. >> Cuz you know what? >> Do you know how many of us died? >> I can't. >> Okay. >> Do you know >> you want to Do you want to Did she pay for this? >> I don't know. We don't know. Do you have a reason? >> Nope. Let's go. I'll show you that I paid for I had a link card. >> You have a link card. Well, do you have a receipt? and money and they came up here before I can pay for anything and do >> they came with me and bother me. >> All I'm asking you is did you pay for it? >> I ain't even walk no door. >> With the woman's confrontational attitude, she quickly made the atmosphere inside the store increasingly tense, forcing the officers to escort her outside to resolve the situation. However, it quickly became clear that she had no intention of cooperating. >> What's your date of birth? I am identified. >> No transaction transpired. >> Okay, listen. Hey. Hey. I'm still on. >> Okay. Can you Can you >> Can you walk out here with me so we don't cause more of a disturbance? >> He already caused disturbance. >> Okay. But you're the one yelling. Okay. So, would you like to walk out? >> I didn't bother. >> Okay. I'm asking you. You know why I'm yelling? Because I have been falsely accused. >> Okay. I'm going to ask you one more time. Okay. I'm going to ask you one more time to exit the store. >> I'm going to exit the store. Come on. >> I am exit the store. But you can't you can't >> I'm going to ask you one more time. You can't do nothing with me when I ex the store because I don't have nothing. >> You're going to be banned from the store. Okay. >> I don't mind being banned. >> Okay. Come on. >> Now, can you give me your date of birth? >> No. >> Okay. >> I'm keep I don't have no more issues. No need. I'm done. >> All right. Sir, stop. Please don't. Please don't touch me. Don't stop. I'm going to put you in handcuffs. >> I ain't I'm not I'm going to explain how this works. I don't care. I'm okay. >> You're recorded. I'm recording. >> Okay. >> So, there here's how this goes. >> I ain't got nothing. I ain't stole nothing. >> Are you going to listen to me? >> Completely beyond the officer's control. The woman appeared determined to make the situation as difficult as possible by refusing every request and insisting on her rights. She had fully turned into a no touch woman. >> You getting too close to me and you're not you're not listening to >> But you're getting too close to me. Please leave me. >> If you don't stop, I'm going to put you in handcuffs. >> YOU GOING TO PUT ME IN HANDCUFFS ANYWAY? >> NO, I'M NOT. >> I'M A BLACK [ __ ] YOU GOING TO PUT ME in handcuffs? >> You being black has nothing to do with anything. It got everything to do with it. >> I come from a multi-racial family. You don't know YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. YOU JUST ACCOSTED ME ABOUT SOMETHING TO YOU ABOUT ME. I'm trying to explain to you something. You're not telling me nothing. I >> If you're not going to listen to me, I'm going to put you in hand. I didn't I didn't steal >> and then I'm going to identify you that way. >> I didn't steal that. >> We're not saying that. We got here. >> Listen. All right. >> The woman slowly began making her way back toward the store entrance, suspecting that she intended to go back inside and cause another disturbance and to finally bring the prolonged confrontation to an end. The officers decided to take action. >> You're going in handcuffs. >> Hey. Yeah. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. >> Going in handcuffs. Stop resisting. >> I am resisting. >> Stop resisting. >> I am resisting. Hands behind your back. I ain't resisting. >> Put your hands behind your back. I'm resisting. I'm at work. Behind your back. I don't want to resist. Put your hands behind your back. >> I'm not resisting. >> I'm not resisting, Y'ALL. WHAT Y'ALL DOING? I'm not resisting. >> You're going in handcuffs. Please stop. >> I'M NOT DOING NOTHING, Y'ALL. WELL, I'M NOT >> You're going to be detained cuz you're not listening. >> Detain me. That's fine. Detain me. >> You are being detained. Fine. Detain. >> Please stop. >> Detain. Loosen up your arm. Loosen up your arms. >> My arms are loosened. Detain me. Thank you. But guess what? Calm down. >> God don't like us. Take this. Nope. We ain't got nothing else to talk about. >> Calm down. He's got to double check your >> make sure they're double. Y'all wrong. And y'all ain't nothing but a racist ass white mother. I ain't I ain't coming. I'm a black [ __ ] in a white neighborhood. Put the handcuffs on and I'm at work. I'm at work and y'all just [ __ ] We're going to go to the car. Y'all at work and y'all just >> Please walk with them. >> Please walk with us. >> Don't resist. >> All right, hold on. I'll grab her feet. Wait, wait, wait, wait. >> Drag me. Drag me. Drag me. Drag me. God going to see you drag me. >> All right. >> God don't like up cuz I ain't did nothing wrong. >> Why are you doing this? Trying to work with you. >> I ain't did nothing wrong. I'm at work. >> You're not listening to us. >> I'm at work. I was listen. I'm trying to take >> Come on, sweetheart. Please get up so we can put you in the car. I'm trying to take No, I Well, how can I give you my hand up? >> No, you can't >> sit up on your butt. >> Sit up on your butt for us. >> You can't never say nothing to me. >> Sit up on your butt. >> Please sit up for me. Come on. >> Hey, whatever you do, >> bring your knees in for me. >> I'm not doing that. >> Shortly afterward, the officers returned to the store to explain what had happened to the store manager and to verify the incident from the employees perspective. >> About that. That's okay. >> So, all we were trying to do was identify her so we could give her the proper trespass. She wanted to obstruct. So that's why we had to take her into forceful custody because she kept trying to obstruct us and get away from us. So if any of your customers complain, refer them to me. >> I'll explain. Hopefully they don't >> blame you for it. Uh you can refer them to me. Did Did that other officer Did he have chance to get your name? >> No. >> Okay. Okay. So she came in. Uh >> they did call me over the daily. She went over there first. >> Okay. >> Um, the teammates told me that she put her hands on and we were yelling at him. >> Okay. >> So, she deescalated it. I finally tried to get her to check out and just leave. She kept yelling. She said she wanted to check out up here. So, I escorted her. We stopped at Floral. I tried to check her out there. Then she said she paid for. I didn't even care about the ticket. I just wanted her to leave. >> Okay. >> And she kept yelling. She came back over here, started yelling, "Tammates again." I came back over. That's when I told them over here to call the police just to have her removed. >> Okay. I gave her every opportunity to pay for it and leave. >> So, she made physical contact with some of your employees >> supposedly over in the deli. I haven't been able to verify it. >> Okay. Uh, do you have camera footage? >> Probably. >> Uh, that we could review. I'm >> Do they want to press charges for battery or do they just want her gone? >> She's going to get charged anyway. I got charges. >> The investigation didn't end there. Officers also spoke with an employee from the store's kitchen department who accused the suspect of previously shoving her during the confrontation. She came out >> and was mad with another worker about styrofoam plates. We don't have any, but they've been out for over 3 hours. So, when she got here, they already weren't there. She was mad saying that well, the one she was mad at went back there and started talking about her, but she went back there to tell everybody else, "We don't have any plates." So when I heard she was cussing, I came around and she was in place talking of like saying you and you up and I'm coming for you all that. And so I told her we haven't had any sources for a while and she got in my face and said, "No, I got the last one. You remember I got the last one." I said, "Okay, whatever." You know, I know she didn't, so I'm not going to argue. And when she got in my face, that's when I smelled her breath. >> And I know Yeah. And that's when she like shoved me and she she didn't do it hard but she don't touch me. >> Did she kind of do like this or >> it was like a well you don't know. >> Okay. >> It wasn't like a attack but it was don't touch me please. Okay. >> And so that's when she kept getting more mad and I could tell it wasn't going to like get fixed. And I kept telling her is all well and she goes I'm fine but you're not. And just kept saying stuff like that and she kept coming back and just standing there. So I called back and once I back she got even more mad and then started doing that all over my face again ma'am and she thought he said dude >> so she went really yeah and then that's when told me to just walk away and I stayed away. >> In the end the store chose not to pursue any shoplifting charges over the unpaid merchandise. [music] However, the woman was still charged with battery trespassing and resisting arrest. Refusing to cooperate and escalating a situation can quickly turn a simple removal from a store into multiple criminal charges with far more serious consequences. [music] Far worse, the woman only made everything worse, even putting other people's lives at risk. >> Don't stop. Don't grab me. I'm pregnant and you grabbing me. I'm pregnant and you grabbing me. I am 3 months pregnant. Don't grab me. >> Let go. Stop. LET GO OF MY GUN. GOD DAMN IT. On the 11th of May 2025, police stopped two women in a residential neighborhood after they matched the description of suspects involved in a shoplifting incident that had occurred earlier at a Dollar General store. Here's what happened next. >> Come here. >> Come here. >> Come here. Both of you. >> Come here. Yes, you do. Come here. You are detained. Do not try to walk away. >> Come back over here. Do not try to walk away. >> What? Cuz you want this bag? Cuz this is my clothes. These are dirty clothes. >> Step out of the roadway. >> I don't have to step out of the roadway. >> You do. >> No, I don't. >> Yes, you do. >> No, I don't. >> You were standing in the row. I'm telling you to step out of the roadway. >> Walking and I don't have to stop to talk to you. >> I am stopping you. You are stopped. >> How are you stopping me? >> She immediately became defensive when officers confronted her about the suspected theft. Making matters worse, she remained standing in the middle of the roadway, forcing officers to focus on getting the situation under control. >> You still got a whole another bag you haven't dumped out. Bag. What? My purse? I didn't ask to. >> I'm telling you, get out of the roadway. >> You're not going to talk to me any type of way just cuz you officer. >> Okay. You're making this way more complicated than it makes me cuz you you stopping me for nothing. >> I'm stopping you for something. >> Yeah. You stopping No, you stopping me for nothing. >> I'm not stopping you for nothing. >> So, you can either step out of the roadway out the clothes. Can I get my clothes off the road? >> Sure. And then from there, out of the road. Girl, baby, I I don't [ __ ] with police and I'm solicit. I really don't have to talk to you at all. >> I'm not asking you to talk. I'm telling you to get out of the room. >> You've been arrested or stop me. >> I I can't stop you. >> You can stop me for what? >> I'm investigating a death. I have told you. >> Listen, once I'm six, half a mile away from there, you can't stop me for nothing. >> No, I can. >> The other woman appeared largely unconcerned by what was happening while the woman in the red hair refused to cooperate. She even tried to walk away despite the officer's repeated commands to stop, causing the situation to escalate quickly. >> Don't stop. Don't grab me. I'm pregnant. You grabbing me. I'm pregnant and you grabbing me. I am 3 months pregnant. DON'T GRAB ME. I'M 3 MONTHS PREGNANT. DON'T GRAB ME. >> DON'T GRAB ME. STOP. STOP. DON'T GRAB ME. HELP. AND BEATING ON ME. BEING ON ME. GET OFF ME. PLEASE STOP. GET OFF ME. I'M PREGNANT. AND YOU GRABBING ON ME, SIR. GET OFF OF ME. GET OFF OF ME. Get out of me. >> I'm going to tell you, >> [ __ ] GET OFF OF ME. I'M PREGNANT AND YOU JUST DID THIS TO ME. CALL THE POLICE. RECORD THIS. RECORD ME. Get off OF ME. GET HIM OFF OF ME. GET HIM OFF OF ME. GET OFF OF ME. STOP. >> GET OFF OF ME. >> STOP. >> GET OFF OF ME. I'm pregnant. RECORD THIS. CALL POLICE. I'M PREGNANT. He slammed me ON MY STOMACH. I'M PREGNANT. YOU YOU'RE NOT GOING TO TOUCH ME. GET OFF OF ME. HELP ME. about to kill me. >> I like to KILL ME. >> BACK UP. >> BACK UP. >> GET OFF OF ME. >> BACK UP. >> BACKED UP. >> GET OFF ME. GET OFF ME. >> The woman knew exactly what she was doing. She deliberately resisted and repeatedly claimed she was pregnant in an attempt to pressure the officers while at the same time her hands were doing something even more insane. >> God damn it. >> Why did you even SHOT FIRED? ARE you serious? >> I'm pregnant. >> I'm in cops. >> Let go. Stop. Let go of my gun. God damn. >> Why did you even have >> shot fired? [screaming] >> I'm pregnant, [ __ ] You stupid. Yeah. You about to kiss me. You about to kill me now. NOW KILL ME. KILL ME HOUSE. KILL ME. MY KILL ME. YOU WET ASS HOUSE. MY STOMACH. I'M PREGNANT. [screaming] CALL THE POLICE. I AM PREGNANT. CALL THE POLICE. OH MAN. CALL THE POLICE. COME THE POLICE. WE'RE 104 right now. We're still fighting. CALL THE [screaming] POLICE. CALL THE POLICE. CALL THE POLICE. >> GOT YOU. >> CALL THE POLICE. >> SHUT UP. GET UP, LADY. >> Call the police. Keep your mouth shut. Keep your mask. >> I'm pregnant. >> Keep your mouth shut. >> Quit walking away. Sit down. Sit down. >> Call the police. >> Don't you move. >> Down. >> Sit down. >> GET AWAY FROM SHUT YOUR MOUTH. >> Even the bystanders refused to support her as she tried to portray herself as the victim. Once officers finally managed to handcuff her, the second woman was also taken into custody. >> I th on top of me. >> Stand up. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> What did I do? >> What did I do? I didn't do anything. >> You don't have to be so rough, bro. I didn't do anything. I sat around. >> She just tried to take my gun. >> She's lucky she's alive. >> What does that have to do with me, though? >> You're here with her. >> But that has nothing to do with me. I did not do that. >> [screaming] >> I didn't even do anything. Like you're putting me in handcuffs for no reason. I did not do anything. [ __ ] >> Okay. Don't be so dumb. >> Shut up. You slam me. You punched me in my face. You >> Yeah, you punched me in my face. You look like a you in your face. >> In my face, [ __ ] [ __ ] [laughter] about to face. >> She tried to take my drink. What do you need with them? >> I don't know yet. We just got her in custody. We got these through the tank. >> Who's hit? >> Nobody's here. >> Over what was initially just a shoplifting citation, the woman escalated the situation to the point that numerous police units responded to help take her into custody. Yet, she showed no remorse. And even her transport to jail was just as chaotic. >> Talking about you shoot me in my face. You hurt me. HURT ME BECAUSE I love hurt now. Hurt me, [ __ ] Me ass up. You better take me to [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] I will make you shoot me, ho. [ __ ] pop my mother, ho. You stupid ass. Yeah, put me on the grass, ho. Put me wherever you going to put me. >> Give me I don't want a man touching me. Period. I don't want y'all touching me. Period. Get the off me. Yo ass cowards. No pigs the out me white [ __ ] the off me. >> Yeah. Put me in a [ __ ] >> Yeah. Hope you dieo. >> I will [ __ ] >> I hope it's real soon. You better hope they give me life, [ __ ] Cuz I'm make sure you die, ho. You mean get your ass OFF ME. DON'T TOUCH ME. SEAT BELT, HO. >> Touch me. >> I want to take photos of her. >> [ __ ] you ain't going to take no photos of me, ho. You taking photos of my ass. My back. How about that? Take a photo of that. Kiss my mother ass. What you can do? >> I need to take pictures of your injuries. I'm just trying to take pictures at the jail. I'm pregnant. 2009. >> In the end, the woman pleaded guilty to aggravated assault against a public servant, harassment of a public servant, and possession of a controlled substance. She was [music] sentenced to 40 years in state prison. This case shows how a routine shoplifting investigation can spiral into a life-changing felony when a suspect chooses to resist and escalate. A moment of poor judgment may lead to consequences far more severe than the original offense, with decades of freedom lost in the process. Next, this case also caused injuries to the officers. [music] >> You want to get a resisting? What are you doing? >> It stop. >> God, I'm >> You're going to break it. >> Stomach your stomach. >> You're going to break my arm. >> On the 2nd of February, 2025, officers responded to a shoplifting report at a Walmart after a woman was suspected of intentionally failing to scan several items at selfch checkckout. Upon arrival, they reviewed the surveillance footage with the loss prevention team to confirm the theft. observing her. >> Okay. >> Um at register eight, I'm sorry, nine. >> Okay. >> I did not see her um scanning the shoes. >> So that was my alert right there. >> Okay. >> And then after we went to the shopping cart, we find another item sitting on the table. So that's stuff that she didn't scan. >> Yeah, I I thought I >> I'm sorry. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> She gave us the name of Jessica. >> Um and uh we already told her that, you know, more than $25. We want to put a trespass and she already got it. So >> very good. >> And here's the training receipt for >> Just set it down. I'll grab it. Thank you. >> They were not paid for. >> All right. Officers approached the suspect who was sitting in the loss prevention office, unaware that what was about to happen would become a memorable incident for them. Even as she was escorted outside, however, she showed no sign of remorse and continued arguing with police. >> Yeah, cuz you guys hurt me. >> We got her down. We're searching. >> I'm going to unlock the door. >> Push up against >> Yeah. Why didn't you guys hurt me? >> Okay, let's do let's just search it first. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Search me for what? That's my shirt. Can you guys at least let me in the car? >> Just chill out for a second until I call my wife. Her behavior increasingly resembled that of a seasoned offender. Even after being placed in the patrol car, she managed to slip out of her handcuffs twice while continuing to portray herself as the victim throughout the arrest. >> Her cuffs again. >> She's freaking out a little bit. And yeah, I cut my >> She's out of the cuffs again. Hold on. >> Yeah, we'll let her stand a little bit. >> Just I'm leaving. I'm not opening it until I know someone else is up here. >> Cuz I can't. BUT >> CAN YOU TELL HIM TO BACK [screaming] AWAY? >> The suspect was charged with tampering with evidence, obstructing official business, and aggravated possession of drugs. Trying to cover up a crime often creates even bigger problems. Instead of avoiding responsibility, the suspect escalated a shoplifting case into multiple felony charges by resisting officers and attempting to destroy evidence, leaving her facing far more serious consequences than the original theft. Next, let's slow things down a bit and take a look at this situation. Um, I let her walk out the first set of doors. She was getting ready to walk out the second set. I approached. I showed her my badge and everything. >> Did they get all their stuff back? >> Okay. So, everything in these all this shit's yours. >> No. >> On the 11th of February 2024, officers were dispatched to Nordstrom's loss prevention office after receiving a report of a woman suspected of shoplifting. The woman had already been detained after being caught in the act. And this is what happened. According to the loss prevention officer's statement, >> I don't have her name. Your name, ma'am, so you can get that for us. >> Okay, >> she didn't want to talk. >> This is going to go out standing. Uh, can you run me through what happened? >> So, we got a call that um that she had two of our minis, which were these. >> Yeah, >> these right here. And, um, we watched her walk around. Um, I seen her select this right here. She selected these two, and she was with another, um, Caucasian male that had this stuff right here. Okay. and they all they both went upstairs to women's lingerie. Um they were walking around active. She grabbed a few more items. Um they were both headed to the fitting room. They the ladies let them know that we don't allow males in the women's fitting room. So he did hand this stuff to her. >> She took this stuff in the fitting room. Of course I was in the fitting room next to her, worked it, and she went out the fitting room. I checked the fitt room. There was nothing in there besides the hangers that were hanging up behind the mirror. >> Okay. >> Where she put them. And um we watched her walk down. She walked through men's a couple times, grabbed some more items, but left them at the register, walked out north. >> Um, I let her walk out the first set of doors. She was getting ready to walk out the second set. I approached. I showed her my badge and everything. Um, >> I wasn't going to cuff her at first until she was like trying to walk away and I couldn't hold her in the stroller. So, I just let the stroller go. I grabbed her. I had her against the wall. She said, "Are you police?" I said, "I'm not police, but if you keep resisting, I will put the cuffs on you." And she started resisting. She pushed me right here. She pushed me back. And when she pushed me back, she kicked me in my stomach. >> Okay. >> That's when I got upset. Then Shayla came. Shayla came and helped me. And I grabbed her by her arms and I put her against the wall and we got her in. >> Was the mail with her at the same time or >> No, we lost him. We couldn't walk both of them, but I was >> What was the deal with the stroller? She had >> She had everything in the stroller. Don't put baby in there. >> Cool. Hey. So, >> but even when confronted with the loss prevention team's clear evidence, the woman showed no sign of embarrassment and could no longer deny what had happened. At that point, officers placed her in handcuffs. >> You can stand up and face that wall for me. >> I'm pregnant. >> Okay. Outstanding. >> How far along are you? >> Nice. Congratulations. >> You want to set up the cops or one time? me. >> Okay. >> So, I need you to listen to something while I do this. All right. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in a court of law. You have the right this time to talk to a lawyer and have them present with you while you're in question. Got a to hire a lawyer. One will be appointed to represent in court question if you wish. Decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand your rights, ma'am? Is that vertical head nodding mean? Yes. Okay. Why you guys walking my head today? 4032 might be involved in what's wrong. >> He's not. >> How do you know? >> You know what he's up to right now? >> Nothing. >> So, here's the deal. >> Uh, probably committed a felony today. says, "Uh, >> what I can tell is you you don't go to court until you identify, >> right? So, you want to give me your name?" >> No, we're just going to finger at the jail. So, you're Okay, that's fine. >> Yeah, she's going to go. But that Let's be clear that that guarantees to go to jail. >> One important detail was that the woman had brought a baby stroller with her. Fortunately, there was no child inside. Instead, she had used the stroller to conceal the stolen merchandise, which officers immediately recovered. Is there anything in here that doesn't belong to you? >> Or did they get all their stuff back? They got all >> Okay. So, everything in these all this shit's yours. >> No, absolutely not. >> You don't want to be cooperative. We're not going to be like I'm not going to make exceptions. And first of all, you just told me you're you're pregnant for code for one custody no more. >> Are you insane, right? >> You can say I'm pregnant. Can I have a cigarette? officer. Yo, what's up? >> These were also honored from American Eagle and the thing is foiled. >> Yeah. Yeah. 100%. So, you know what I'm going to do now, right? I'm going to go to American Eagle. I'm going to track this down. You don't get to come to my city and be a me like turn over every stone to make your life as tough as possible, right? You can't come here and steal and expect us to like turn a blind eye to it. >> What's up? I mess with you. >> Okay, fair enough. Um, you caused pain when you got kicked at all >> at the time. No, I'm fine. >> Do you want to see the fire department or anything? >> No. >> Yeah, 100%. I can understand that. >> Yeah. So, just to make sure I understand, was the stuff in the cart or she was carrying it? >> It was It was in So, it was in there with it and then the um one item inside. >> Immediately afterward, she was escorted out in a humiliating walk as officers led her away. >> It's 2024-4897. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah, it's chilly out here, right? Just grab a seat. Just slide underneath that. I'll come talk to you in a second. Right. Can I ask you just one quick thing? >> Yeah, of course. >> Totally your opinion. Is it Is it your fault she was trying to keep the stuff and that's why she kicked you or was she just did she already abandoned it all? Was >> she was trying to get away? >> Okay. >> So, I think she was trying to get away. I don't know cuz the stroller was sitting like if you watch when you see the video you'll see the stroller was just sitting in the middle of the floor like right in this area and I already had her in the corner and she was like are you the police and I was like listen I'm not the police but I can apprehend you if you want to make it difficult I'll pull I'll cuff you and that's when she started getting resistant. >> The woman was charged with retail theft and battery on a security officer. Using violence to escape a shoplifting detention often turns a theft case into a much more serious criminal offense. Worse still, the suspect suddenly attacked an officer by spraying him with bear spray. >> They're the ones. Come over here. >> Thank you. On the 9th of October 2023, officers responded to a TJ Maxx after an employee reported that three women had intentionally shoplifted and concealed merchandise inside a duffel bag taken directly from the store. At that point, an officer and the store manager coordinated a plan to apprehend them. >> So, I have three females in the building right now. Um, they have been actively selecting. One of them I have on camera still in the black duffel bag that she selected off my floor. Um, one of them is wearing a black jacket and she does not have a face mask on. The other one is wearing like a red lingerie suit, short sleeve shirt, short shorts. >> They're still inside right now. >> They're still in there, but we can't >> they're still inside the building right now. >> We can't do anything until they actually pass from the store um and come out the store over there and let you guys. But when I was coming out here to I'm coming up here to meet you. >> We're still in the kids section selecting our items. >> Stop. >> Meanwhile, the officer happened to notice a man physically assaulting a member of his own family, forcing officers to temporarily shift their priority and respond to that incident first. >> What are you doing? >> What do you mean? What am I doing? >> Come here. >> Come here. Hold on a second. >> Come here. Turn around. Ah, >> what are you doing to me? >> Central. I have one detained, unassociated. >> What the hell do you think you're doing? >> I'm getting into the court. >> [ __ ] >> You keep on hitting it. >> Well, at least they're on topic. >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to an attorney. >> If you cannot afford one, we'll be appointed to you at no charge. >> You have the right to stop answer my any questions at any time. You also have the right to have an attorney present during any question. Do you understand your rights? [clears throat] >> There has a broken arm >> that has a broken has a broken arm. Is that your husband? >> Uhhuh. I blow a friend. We're done. >> Well, he's probably going to go to jail today. >> So, I mean, what happened exactly? >> Uh, I saw him punching that guy multiple times. And I'm not talking about disappoint. I'm talking about punching >> multiple times. >> We tried telling the kept on doing it to >> Yeah. It was um It's going to be child abuse. Okay. >> At that point, the suspects were believed to have exited the store and officers moved in to approach them. However, it seemed the suspects realized they had been spotted because what they did next took the situation in a completely unexpected and far worse direction. >> She's saying that's them, but they don't have any merchandise. They dropped it inside the store. >> The one that Brown's carrying the duffel bag. We can't stop them. >> They're the ones. Come over here. [ __ ] [ __ ] SPRAY. SPRAY. Black dodge. Stratus. Cleaning the scene. >> ASSAULT ON OFFICER. ASSAULT ON OFFICER. >> SERGEANT, I'M HERE WITH YOU. I got >> Damn it. >> Assault on water. I got water in my car. >> Where's your car? [cough] >> Yes. >> It's not a charger. >> It's an Avenger. >> It's not a charger. Black on the back. I got water. I got water. I got water. >> Give me water. That seems secure. >> The group then fled the scene in a black Dodge Avenger. Officers immediately broadcast an alert after one of the suspects assaulted a law enforcement officer while the sergeant who had been sprayed remained at the scene receiving medical assistance from fellow officers. Got some paper. >> Did you get sprayed? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Can you back up? Here's some water for you right now. Do you have any rags or paper towel in your car? >> Yeah, I got a I got a towel. Let me go. I'll be right back. >> Oh, y'all work there. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Thanks. >> Appreciate. >> Thank you. I can't breathe. >> Got to do it. >> Yeah. >> You want to get a 47 or something so we can get >> I think we got one. I think we got one over here. Yeah, we got one over here right now. >> Where's the top? >> Oh, that's nasty. >> Yeah, throw that rag down. Avenger. >> Avenger. Newer little small kind. >> It was old. Beat up tagged though. Afterward, the officer returned to the store's loss prevention office to continue the investigation [music] and identify the suspects using the surveillance footage. >> So, I was already on the floor watching. >> That's what hurts. He's able to talk a little bit more now. >> Yeah. I've heard they've been using like bear spray like that. So, >> that one in Nashville, I think, did it? Greenwood. >> Uhhuh. Green Hills or something. >> Yes. Yep. So, this is the three of them. Okay. This is the one that I have on camera concealing. That's the one I called on. Um, they walked out without anything. There was another female that was already in the store that I was watching. She was the one that was wearing the tan that I was telling you about with the tan purse and I said, "I know she has something. I just can't stop her because I don't have her on concealment." But that's them right there. She I think she looked pregnant when she came out. Did they actually get anything or is it just the one in the tan that >> You got the merchandise back though, right? >> I did. That's the That's what they were considering >> in the bag. Yes. >> So, when we were here the other day, they sold a bunch of 40 Nike like 30 sets of like >> 74 yards. Yeah. >> Um, but I'm just I just saw that tag. I was like 2T. Okay. Still in the kids clothes. >> Yeah. After confirming the investigation, officers determined that only one woman had committed the theft, and she was also the one who sprayed the officer with bear spray, which is far more powerful than pepper spray. She was charged with theft of merchandise, and assault on a first responder. After being arrested again in November 2023 in another shoplifting case, she was sentenced to 230 days in jail, 2 years of probation, and approximately $5,100 in fines and court costs. This was the inevitable outcome of the reckless and disgraceful actions she chose to commit. What do you think about cases like this? A female suspect was seen removing price tags and concealing merchandise inside a black backpack she had brought with her. Officers then arrived at the scene and monitored her actions through the store's surveillance cameras. Is that her right there? >> Mhm. >> So, yeah, that's her. >> Yeah. Just hang tight. >> She may be walking out here in just a little bit. Not sure if she's working with anybody else. The manager advises she might have a friend with her, but they haven't seen her concealed anything, so they're uncertain. >> I got her on camera though when they met up. >> Is this which entrance? That's the grocery sign. >> Check out. >> Y'all just stay away from the doors. She's uh >> walking away from me. >> That's the right. She don't have the book bag no more, >> huh? She right there. Immediately afterward, at the selfch checkckout register, officers continued watching her switch price tags to pay lower prices for the merchandise, while another female suspect was believed to be acting as a lookout. >> Yeah. See, right there. >> Be a little bit more discreet. Why don't you >> Only reason I noticed her cuz she came in here looking around cuz she looked scared when she first started. I would have left her alone. She about to do it again with that. >> All right. The female in the camo jacket is currently uh swapping tickets at the register, not paying full price for merchandise. God, that girl looks like she is on something. >> I [laughter] didn't want to say nothing, but I think so, too. There she go again. >> Yep. So I catch my unit to be advised the other female with the cream shirt uh who does not have charges. If she does walk out with her, she's possibly on some type of based off how she's acting. She I guess she been in here. >> All right, we're going to go and stop both of them. >> Um, she can come in here. >> Yeah, we're just going to we're just going to CT her. >> The moment both suspects walked out of the store, officers moved in immediately. Even as officers exposed every step of their scheme, neither of them showed any sign of embarrassment or remorse. >> My backpack. Yeah. >> But I rang up. I mean, it's not what I >> It's not going to come out right. >> I already told her. >> Oh, we know it's not going to come out right. That's what Cameron's got you doing. >> Say something. >> Man, I'm never going to try before. >> So, I don't know who's taking She was the one. I don't know who concealed all the stuff in the bag. She was to get that first. She was at the register using a different ticket to scan the prices. >> Skip scanner. >> Skip scan. She She wouldn't even skip scan. She had a price tag for something else. So, she was holding on to every single item that she scanned. It's all >> Well, you say it's all you, but she was the one that was scanning and she's the one who grabbed the merchandise and walked out with it. So, it's my money. >> Whose bag is that? >> Jennifer Rene, Georgia. >> Sorry. Sorry. >> Howdy. Yeah, that's [snorts] >> 735. Who's Jeff? >> I'm sorry. >> Who's Jeff? >> Me. >> Yeah. >> All right. Next, the woman also went to prison just because of a pizza. >> There's five other people that have the consistent story. >> Did you guys watch the video? >> It's it's waiting for it. But >> and she came right back at me. >> Started going at me. >> Yeah. She she had my hair out like this and I'm over here all backed up and she's still hitting me. On the 22nd of July 2023, officers responded to reports of a disturbance at a restaurant. What initially appeared to be a woman mistakenly ordering the wrong food eventually led to a much larger altercation. Shortly afterward, officers arrived at the scene to find out exactly what was happening. >> Who's they other people at? >> What's going on? So, I came over here cuz I had made a mistake. So, I came in here. I said, "Hey, I was talking to the girls. I said, "Hey, look, I made a mistake on my order. Is there any chance you guys can switch it out for what I want? I'll pay for the rest." Whatever. Cool. She's like, "Yeah, yeah, no worries." She's like, "Well, they were looking at my order and they were like, "Oh, but is this a thin crust here?" D. I was like, "Yeah," I was like, "I made the mistake. I'm sorry. I just, you know, I just wanted to be fixed. That's it. Cool." There was no problem between me and the girls. They went in the back. They told the one of the workers there and then that worker was like all out loud. He's all she's a lion and I was like bro like for real like it's your own job you know and so I was like hey what's his name? I need his name. They didn't give me his name. They were the one of the girls the one that I just the one that bought me was there sitting there laughing about it and was like um they were all whispering. They're like she heard it she heard it. So then that's when the that dude the manager he came to the front when I come here I order from him only. So this is all new to me you know I had asked him I said hey is that your worker right there he was like yeah and I was like well I just want to let you know what he said. I said I was ordering I I admitted my wrongs and I just said hey I made a mistake I just want it fixed. >> Yeah. >> And he called me a lying and then the dude stands there like like what's up? Like you know what I mean? Like I'm a female. Like I'm not going to argue with you. You're a man. In her version of events, she admitted that a confrontation had in fact taken place. It was also revealed that her boyfriend had been present at the scene and had allegedly assaulted an employee. However, when questioned about his involvement, she appeared to deny that any such assault had occurred. Where's your boyfriend? >> He's at home. >> Well, he needs to get here. He wants to hit little girls. He's going to go to jail. >> What do you mean he didn't hit a little girl? >> I have five different people telling me that he slam. >> Yeah, they're all defending her, but he did not hit. I'm telling you. >> He needs to come back. >> Well, while he's at the house, we can go to the house. He did not hit her. He was trying to get her off of me because she was attacking me. She was the one that attacked me first. If you watch the videos, you will see she came up to me. I was already behind the bar. I was staying where I was at because I didn't want any trouble. Yes. >> And she was antagonizing when they my man was fighting with the dude. She was antagonizing. She was there. >> So, how did she get involved if you >> That's what I'm saying. She had nothing involved. She just got involved because they started the two guys. >> And who are you dealing with? I was dealing with the two young girls. There's one that is has glasses. I think she has glasses and then another one. She's a little bit darker. >> The skinny one and the set one. >> Yeah. >> The skinny one is the one I thought the younger one. She said they're 14. How is she 14 working here? They're supposed to be 18, right? >> I don't know what the law is. No. And so who are you dealing with about the order? Was it the big heavy set one? >> Yeah, the big heavy set one. >> And she was okay. She was cool with the order. >> Everybody was cool. Literally, it was so cool. So what started the whole with her and your boyfriend and your >> because the guy started started saying blind and then when I was talking to the manager telling him what he said to me complaining about it uh that's when he was like that's when he came over here and he went to go and he looked at me like this up and down about his drink and then came over here and stood right next to the manager. >> The woman claimed that she was the true victim in the incident and accused the restaurant of multiple wrongdoings. However, when officers questioned the employees, they were told a very different version of the story. >> This lady came in and she said something about her pizza being wrong and weed up on her and stuff. Well, they went back there and told me and I said I was like, "No, she's a liar." I said, "But we'll make her another one. The pizza's in the oven." We made her another one. And she kept on kept on. And then, you know, I walked out. I got something to drink and she told me, "Yeah, I'm talking to you." And I said, "Okay." And I kept walking and she said, "I'll call my husband in right now." And I said, "Call whoever you want." And I kept walking and at that time her husband walked in around here and I was in the dish. He went back there and he told me, "Don't talk to my wife like that again. This is spawning on where the old armor is." And I was like, "Dude, I didn't tell her nothing." I was back there. I never told her anything. I said, "Leave. You need to leave. You're going to get arrested. This is a place of business." And at that time, they started fighting up here. I don't know what happened up here. >> Who was fighting? >> Madea. She's 15 and his wife. She had one arm. >> Okay. And you don't know what escalated onto that? How that started? >> I was back there. I heard it coming. >> You were back there with the husband trying to >> The husband heard it, too. He ran over here. He grabbed my diesel by the throat and the arm and threw her over this tables right here on the floor. >> Okay. >> She's my stepdaughter. >> Okay. >> I said, "No, mother." and I grabbed him from his shirt and I pulled him off and I threw him in the corner right there. And at that time he tried to get me in the headlock punching me and stuff. I punched him. We fought a little bit there. His wife jumped on my back. >> Made pulled her off. We fought around here. >> So the girl out there jumped on your back cuz you guys were touching in the corner. And then that's when Deja Deja or Tjasa >> Madia >> Madia for me. >> Okay. >> And then the husband kept coming. We fought here a little bit more and I backed up the whole way down there all the way and I said, "Leave, bro. Leave. Look at your face, Harley." I said, "Get the out of here. They called the cops. You guys need to leave." He left. >> It appeared that the restaurant side of the story was backed by much stronger evidence. Several other employees also came forward with statements and their accounts consistently matched the original version of events, >> but I can't get it to rewind. But basically, what happened is the customer came in. They had gotten into it. This lady was upset about her order. She said that he said something, whatever. He was back there washing dishes. Customer, she was arguing. I told her I'll fix it. Okay. Her husband started walking back there. So I was trying to So I ran back there to try to stop him. He was arguing with him. And then when I was back there, they started fighting up here. So then I ran back up there. They they both came running behind me. Then they all started fighting. And then I went outside and called the police. >> Okay. Just trying to figure out what's going on. Obviously there's a lot of people involved, people outside, managers, stuff like that. Yeah. Can you tell me what you saw? >> Okay. So, let me call you at the beginning. I just delivered a pizza to her just like maybe like 5 minutes prior before she walked in >> at her residence. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> And she came back in and I was like, "Oh, you just want to deliver the pizza to?" She's like, "Yeah." She's like, "Uh, these wings were supposed to be buffalo and the pizza I messed up on my fault." So, I pulled them in the back and the guy kind of said he's long. So, she got upset by that. She's like, "I want his name and I want somebody I can talk to about his name." Well, she she called her boyfriend and she told her boyfriend to come over here. After that, we were trying to fix her order. We were doing everything to, you know, fix everything. A cell phone and I walked back here and I'm like, who's that? >> This is only my second day. I didn't know if he worked here or what, but when I saw like he was walking like we're like no, no, like you can't be back there. And then the other guy came, one of them were fighting back there and she was telling her like you can't, you know, like don't be calling your husband here and we're already fixing it. >> Who was telling them? >> Her. >> The redhead or the other one? >> Oh, the other one. Okay. >> So, the girl was started yelling at her and she started walking up to the >> the back register. >> Yeah. To the back register and she grabbed the light at home and they started fighting. >> With that many consistent witness statements, officers were able to reach a decision fairly quickly. As the investigation unfolded, the blame increasingly fell on the customer who had portrayed herself as the victim. >> Okay. Right now you're going to under arrest for battery and child you attack 14 years old. >> Can you feel my fingers in between? >> That's fine. >> That's fine for her to attack me. >> Listen, I gave you every opportunity. You told me it's you. There's there's five other people that have a consistent story. >> Did you guys watch the video? >> It's it's waiting for it. But I have everybody saying so I'm not I just don't arrest people cuz I arrest people cuz I'm taking everybody's word. Okay. You're not help. Chris is not coming. So, he's going to have to he has a good job and he's worried about it. Well, guess what? He screwed that up. Okay, >> now he's about to get a warrant. >> Now he's going to get a warrant for the same thing you're getting. The woman was arrested and prosecuted for intentional child abuse and assault after a fight that stemmed from a mistaken food order.
