Hello Mesa. Beginning June [music] 25th, the Mesa Police Department will be launching Operation Ride Compliance as part of [music] our summer e-bike enforcement and safety initiative. Recent trends across our city have shown an increase in complaints involving unsafe [music] riding behaviors, youth unlawfully operating electric motorcycles and motor-driven cycles, confusion about legal e-bike classifications, and growing concerns about public safety. [music] Operation Ride Compliance is designed to reduce traffic collisions, injuries, and law enforcement contacts involving e-bikes, e-scooters, motor-driven cycles, and electric motorcycles through highly visible enforcement, >> [music] >> accountability, and community engagement. Officers will focus on violations such as unlawful operation of motor-driven cycles, underage riders, [music] failure to stop incidents, and unlawful flight from law enforcement. Our goal is not just enforcement, it's education. We want riders [music] and parents to understand the law, make safe choices, and help keep our streets, sidewalks, parks, and [music] neighborhoods safe for everyone. To learn more about Arizona law, Mesa City Code, and whether your device is legally classified [music] as an e-bike, visit the City of Mesa's e-bike resource page. Ride smart, [music] ride responsibly, and help us make Mesa safer for everyone. Thank you.
