I'm sorry. >> Put your hands behind your back, >> sir. My >> Stop pulling away. Put your hand behind your back. Yes. You want to speak to us? >> Yeah. I am the owner of the store, sir. >> I I don't I don't think you are. >> Yeah, I am the owner of the store. >> On the 15th of April, 2026, police were called to a local Walmart after loss prevention spotted a familiar face, a known retail theft offender who seemed to treat the store like her own personal pantry. Surveillance cameras captured her moving comfortably through the meat section, tossing merchandise into her cart without a second glance at the price tags. She then headed to the selfch checkckout, pulling a classic move, skip scanning several items and paying for only a fraction of her haul. Little did she know, the police already had a surprise waiting for her at the exit. >> She right here. >> No, you didn't. >> Point Beach Police Department. >> Oh, I passed her everything. No, you didn't. No, you didn't. Yes, I did. >> No, you didn't. Drop the bag. No, I paid for everything. >> Put your hands behind your back, >> sir. My >> Stop going away. Put your hands behind your back. >> My son. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I paid for everything. >> No, you didn't. We watched this. >> Yes, I did. >> Sir, my son is at home. Do >> not resist. Stop resisting. >> Okay, I see. Hit on my receipt right here. >> You resist. >> Okay, my seat is right there. Okay, my seat's right here. >> I pay for everything. I pay for everything. >> My son's at home. I pay for everything. >> I don't know what your son at home got to do with this. >> I pay for I pay for everything. >> Yeah. >> The scheme was incredibly simple. Pay for just enough merchandise to get a receipt and use that piece of paper as a get out of jail free card. That receipt was exactly what she relied on to justify her actions. But as the officers pressed her, the woman's denial turned out to be even more shameless than the crime itself. >> Okay. With those rights in mind, you wish to speak to us. >> Okay. Myra, she is right there. >> No. Yes. You want to speak to us? >> Yeah. I am the owner of the store, sir. >> I I don't I don't think you are. >> Yeah, I am the owner of the store. I'm the owner of the store. >> No. >> Yes, I am. >> Really? What happened with the the selfch checkout? >> My receipt is right there. >> Why are you still yelling? She >> We don't have to yell. >> I'm talking to you in that. >> Okay. My receipt is right there, sir. >> Indoor voice. Indoor voice. >> My receipt is right there. I'm the owner of Okay. I didn't steal anything. >> We're getting closer. Almost at an indoor voice. >> I didn't steal anything. My receipt is right there. >> Okay. Cuz we we we got you on video. >> Okay. Can you let me out of here? My son is at home. >> I don't I I don't care. >> Wait. My receipt is right there, sir. >> Why are you yelling again? >> All of my stuff is on there. So you think a reasonable person believes that that cart full of meat and stuff is worth listen >> they kept coming they kept coming and doing okay that's my that's my stuff sir I can see >> yeah you're going to be able to take what you have >> she showed absolutely zero remorse acting with a level of entitlement that made it seem like she owned the entire store but the cops weren't buying her attitude especially as they continued pulling unpaid merchandise I straight out of her personal bag. >> What's your middle name? >> B. I mean A. Uh-uh. >> A or B? What's your middle name? >> Nobody. Hey. >> I feel like there's some victious information. >> Okay. Can you um My son at home. Can you um >> No. This is going to take a little bit. It's going to take a while. You're under arrest. >> Okay. I didn't do anything. Sorry. >> How old your son? Stop yelling. I don't know what's wrong with you. You have issues. I'm telling you not to yell. I do not understand why you're yelling. How old is your son? Do we need to go check on him? >> No. You um yes, you need to go check on >> How old is he? >> Can you tell um someone to come and get him? >> Sure. How old is he? >> He's only He's only 11 years old. But that's all of my stuff. I paid for it. >> I'm just going >> Oh, and I can't see cuz y'all put and [ __ ] in my eyes and stuff. I cannot see cuz y'all put and [ __ ] in my eyes and [ __ ] >> Why? >> Where does she live? So, we have her. >> Northwest or Northeast? >> What's up? What's the directions? >> Don't um Um I'm not giving you guys any directions, kid. Just call her and >> No problem. We'll figure it out. >> Can you call her? >> No, don't worry about it. You're good. >> I think too. But that's all of my stuff, sir. That's all my stuff. >> Andre, what's your middle name? >> I just Oh, that's that's my baby daddy. >> That's your baby daddy? >> When tallied up, the stolen merchandise was valued at exactly $292.34, an amount she likely believed would keep her safely below the felony threshold. As things turned out, she miscalculated. Once officers ran her record and realized this was far from her first offense, a simple misdemeanor quickly turned into a much bigger problem. >> Who's that to you? >> I mean, what do you mean? >> What do you need? >> Channel 3 for >> You're going to jail. >> No, I didn't do anything, sir. Can y'all just No, we're well past that. >> Okay. Can [laughter] you tell her to put Okay, I didn't I didn't take anything. I can First of all, >> we're well past that. >> I didn't. >> Okay. I cannot see. Oh, that's like the Walmart. >> You're not the Walton family. You silly dude. >> You're so silly. >> I don't know. I don't know how. >> You don't know last name? >> No. Can you tell how to >> I need information about her in order to do >> her name is her number is 61 6. >> Miss, this is not the part you want to play around with. Unless you want your child to be taken by DCF. So, time to be serious. >> You had a case on me? >> No, you didn't have a case on me. >> You didn't have no case on me. Go here. Number switch to last. I wasn't in here last year. >> Well, you bought it a year ago, so No, change >> while you were here. >> So, while you were here, >> meet the owner of Walmart, >> Miss Beverly. >> Okay, I didn't do nothing. Let me out of here. Escorted to the back of the patrol car, she still showed no sense of reality. Instead, she sat there arrogantly shaking her leg, stubbornly believing that she was still in a position to make demands of the officers. >> Comes Bryson, right? >> Yeah, >> he was there. >> Okay. Can you call Can you call >> Can you listen to me? >> No. Can you call this person so that you can >> You can either listen to me or you don't >> from over there. Okay. I mean, what's the problem? You already said that you was taking me to jail. First of all, >> I'm trying to help you out with your kids to steal. >> Sir, can y'all just trespass me at the store? I didn't take anything out of the store. >> All right. So, you know Mariah? >> Yeah. >> Mariah's coming to grab him. >> Okay. >> Okay. Is that okay? >> Hell no. >> Yeah, that's fine. >> Okay. >> That isn't my refund. The original purchase is everything. Okay. I didn't take no food in there. The original purchase is everything. I didn't take no food, sir. I ain't take no food off of there. That's not their original p purchase. They owe me $180 something dollars. >> In the end, the woman was charged with felony retail theft involving two or more prior theft convictions and resisting an officer without violence. On the 5th of May, 2026, she was released on her own recgnizance under specific conditions. The court record reflects that these release terms included mandatory mental health evaluations, compliance with medical treatments, and competency restoration classes. As the case continued through the judicial process, arrogance can make people believe they are smarter than everyone else. But repeated wrongdoing eventually catches up with them. The more confident someone becomes in getting away with theft, the harder the consequences can hit when reality finally catches up. >> Willing to give me a chance to not be actually arrested and go to court. They think that I, you know, a pro at doing this because he says I wasn't nervous at all. On the 28th of July 2025, police were dispatched to Walmart after receiving a report of a woman suspected of shoplifting. The suspect allegedly attempted to leave the store with multiple unpaid items. This was what happened when officers stopped her. Just leave the car right here and then walk with me cuz we got you on camera right now. Skip theme. So, right now I'm officer Los. We are detained right now. Friending investigation for shoplifting. Right. >> Can I just go back and pay for this stuff? >> No. So, we're going to go to the office right now, but I'm letting you know that I will watch you on camera. So, I'm telling you right now, you are detained at this time >> because I didn't ring up, sir. >> Yeah. And I'm I'm not going to put you in handcuffs as long as you promise that if you do anything other than cooperate, I will use force upon you. Okay? >> Can I choose to pay for this? >> No, we're past that cuz you already left all points of sale. So, let's go ahead and walk over here. Now, I'm telling you right now, unless you want you to listen right now. I'm escorting you over here. You can talk to them in there. I got you. But I'm telling you right now, anything other than cooperation, I will use force upon you. Okay. >> So, let's walk this way. I got you. I'm just letting you know, ma'am. I'm just advising you now. That's a warning. >> Yeah. No, no. >> So, right now, like I said, we got you on camera uh folding clothes with not and not scanning all items. Also, the sunglasses that are in your purse. >> Okay. >> All right. Is there any other items that you have on you that you attempted to take from the store? Well, it's just what we saw. >> The woman appeared to believe her actions were not a big deal, showing little to no remorse. Even when asked for her reason, it hardly seemed justifiable. >> So, what's your reason for you trying to take the items? Do you have money to purchase it? >> I just I'm very low income. I'm a single mom raising I have my my two daughters. One is special needs and and very sick right now. Um, I just >> Did she put other tags on some of them? >> Huh? >> You said she replaced some of the tags. >> Yeah, these that I'm taking out are the ones that she was putting on. >> Okay. Just so I could have that for my report. >> Yeah. Just I mean I'm just very low income and just I don't know. I've never done this before. I just >> never done it before or you never got caught before? >> No, I haven't. I haven't. I haven't done it. Cuz the way you strolled around and what we watched you, it looks like you've done this before. Especially to know that I had I wouldn't have been caught. >> You [clears throat] know what I'm saying? If I probably if I was made a habit of it. You know what I'm saying? >> So I don't >> Also Walmart Walmart would like you to be trespassed from all of them. >> So you are never welcomed at any Walmart in the city of Los Crucius. >> You understand? If you do come back to any Walmart, you will be arrested for trespassing. >> All right. >> Like, can I tell my son, please? >> Uh, right now, no, ma'am. >> Okay. I'm supposed to go taste my daughter's lunch to school, too. Today's her first day, and she's very wondering what happened. >> She repeatedly brought up her family as if trying to portray herself as a family oriented woman and begged the officers for sympathy. Shortly after, she bluntly gave a rather shameful excuse. way at all that anybody would be willing to give me a chance to not be actually arrested and go to court and deal with all of this. I mean, >> no, ma'am. >> We have a zero >> need me. >> We have a zero tolerance right now. >> I understand that. I I do I understand that. I just My daughters really need me and I've never done anything like this before in my life. You can look my record is completely clean of everything. I just made a bad choice today and I don't understand why. >> I just can't believe you. >> So, to let you know, >> I've been doing this for a little while and watching you on camera and how calm you were. No show signs. >> Trust me, I wasn't calm. >> Well, >> like I said, I've been I've been observing people for the last 15 years. And when they're about to commit a crime or committing a crime, usually there's signs that they're showing that they're nervous or they're just different than everybody else. You showed signs of no nervousness, no anything, no care at all while you're walking around. So, like you saying that this is the first time, I don't believe you. And I'm I'm straight up with people. >> I'm sorry. I um I'm going to tell you right now to lie. >> I'm Yeah, a lot right now cuz you're going to jail. >> I'm I'm being totally cooperative, totally honest about everything. >> Well, I'm just letting you know. >> Yeah. No. No. No. >> It was clear that the woman's attempt to gain sympathy had completely failed. At that point, the officers gave her a chance to call her family and explain what had happened. >> Um, something really bad. Um, I got caught stealing stuff at Walmart on Valley and so they are arresting me and I probably won't get out till tomorrow. And I I don't know why I do this today. You know, I don't do this stuff. I just, you know, things have been really tight right now and I just >> What is the case? >> I don't know yet. But he says that it's a zero tolerance. Close the face wip the face wipes on our face. Yeah. She's expecting me to bring her lunch at worried about Britney. I know she's with her, but I'm worried about Britney because, you know, get her in sooner to the doctor, but I don't know what to do. He said probably till tomorrow because the judge and I, you know, I tried talking to them to see if they, you know, just I mean, I don't know how it works. >> I just made a show and then I mean They think that I'm, you know, a pro at doing this because he says I wasn't nervous at all. Of course I was nervous. How do you tell? I mean, different people show how they're nervous. Different people have never done this before. Otherwise, if I was a pro, I wouldn't have got caught. Am I right? Like, you know, I'm in the office with them. Um, >> if you paid attention, she kept acting pitiful to her family while looking at the officers as if trying to play on their emotions. She even took the conversation with her family further to do just that. issues trying to do a go to school right now. Yeah. A lot of people do way worse and I've been totally cooperative. I haven't argued with anybody or done anything. I you know I mean Yeah. Yeah. I know they let the crackhead kids loose all the time. I know. I know cuz my nephew's one of them. But I don't know. I just need to let you know. >> You're going to keep throwing shots at me. Get off the phone now cuz I'm giving you a courtesy, sir. I'm just saying I'm not going to play your game. I'm not going to play your game. So, either you talk to them, let them know what you're going to do, and get off the phone, or I'm going to just make you cut it now. >> Do you see how rude he's being with you? >> I'm not rude. I'm not being disrespectful. >> Bad towards him. Have I said anything bad towards him? >> Ma'am, you're trying to play the victim card here, and it's not going to work cuz you're not the victim right now. >> I admit to what I did was wrong. I'm not playing victim. >> All right. So, let him know what you need to do with your children and then we'll go from there. All right. >> And even my son knows. >> Okay. Well, let your son know what to do with your other children and then get off the phone. >> Okay. I don't know. Like um I would cuz I would rather not leave the truck here. Okay. Thank you. Bye-bye. My son's going to come get my keys so he can take the truck home. >> Okay. We'll we'll we'll go ahead and do that with all the other property you have here in your wallet there. You wanted to go with your son as well? >> Yep. >> In the end, [music] Kimberly Jackson was charged with shoplifting and switching price tags to pay less for merchandise. Making excuses and seeking sympathy cannot undo a bad decision. Accepting responsibility is the first step toward making things right. >> That book bag's full of stuff, though. >> Okay. >> Yeah. She even she went in the room. >> You're going to go on the ground. I don't want to put you on the ground. >> You're not going to put me on the ground, >> bro. Come on, bro. She's not. >> On the 14th of April, 2024, deputies responded to a Walmart after reports of a shoplifting incident. The suspect, 25-year-old Natalie Martin, was accused of attempting to leave the store with unpaid merchandise. To better understand what really happened, listen closely to the loss prevention employees account. She took all that like I'm thinking. >> How'd you get it back? >> Uh oh, no. I got something back though. She She got a book back. Okay. >> Yeah, she look she got that book back full of stuff. >> Yeah, I got something back though. >> She's the vlogger. >> Yeah, that's She really blonde, man. She that book bag full of stuff though. Okay. >> Yeah. She even she went in the room, but her husband like there's a guy that came in and we was outside came in. He's like, "Do not go in that room. Not go in that room." She just she she up on that golf cart, bro. >> Gotcha. How many was >> I was, you know, sweet talk like, "Man, I'll help. You know, don't do this again." You know, the the talk that we do and I got it in here. She's like, "No, no, when it go." I'm like, "God damn it. We're not allowed to, you know, force anything. You just force it." And >> keep it alone. can. But >> I know it's the policy of Walmart. >> Well, yeah. Yeah. By by law. Yeah. I mean, by Walmart. Walmart stuff. Yeah. AP. >> The woman was believed to have abandoned the stolen merchandise and fled in a golf cart. At that point, deputies began gathering information about the vehicle in an effort to track the woman down. >> That's the one I saw passing. You said four people in it. >> Yeah. >> People like middle-aged people. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I think so. >> Do you have video of them? >> I saw one of them. She looked like a mom. >> Is that the golf cart right there? Like that? >> No, that's not it. >> That's not it. >> No, it was it was dark. It was dark dark blue. >> Dark dark blue. >> Yeah. And it had like the blue ve like the same color same kind of same kind of cart. Yeah. >> But like the Walmart blue had the dark blue veilance. Okay. >> And like they were standing on the back like where the golf bags would go. The the female that got busted and and the other dude were standing on the back and then a female and the and the male with the face tattoos was driving. >> Gotcha. All right. Thank you. >> That's a dark me. Okay. Same same everything just that blue is a little bit darker. >> Okay. >> She's blonde, bro. She's like really blonde skin. >> And they're with an older >> looked like her mom. And then >> the older lady, she I can show you the older lady. Look, the older lady walked out uh like a good 5 minutes before. Let me show you the old lady. >> According to the information gathered, deputies located a golf cart matching the description later that same day. Both suspects connected to the incident immediately attempted to deny any involvement. >> What's that? >> Are we all set? >> Yeah. I mean, you you were never not all set. >> All right. No, I just No, it's cool. I don't mind having a conversation. We're chilling. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> What's going on with the with the golf cart? >> Nothing. >> It's not broken or anything? >> No, it's my dad. >> Is this your girlfriend here? >> It's just a friend. >> Oh, just a friend. >> How are you doing? >> I'm good, bro. >> Good. What's your name? >> Natalie. >> Okay, Natalie. Well, here's what's going to happen. And I'm going to go and detain you for what? >> Cuz we have we Hold on. >> No, don't put your hands on me. Sir, you're a male. Do what you're said. Okay. >> No, just you're going to end up on the ground. Okay. >> No. No. You're literally grabbing me and I'm a female. That is against the law. It's not against she's being detained. You're arresting. >> No, she's being detained. >> Okay. >> Or what? >> Okay. >> Because we're investigating. We're investigating something that happened. You're going to end up at the ground. >> No, you're not. >> You're going to end up on the ground. >> Yeah. And I'm I'm going to sue you. >> No. Wait. >> So, please get your hands off me. >> Are you going to put your hands behind your back? >> I'm just detaining you. >> Are you going to put your hands behind the back? Are you going to go on the ground? >> I just said I had to go to the bathroom and then you want to detain me. That way I can fight you. Literally, this is on purpose. >> You're not going to fight me. >> This is on purpose. >> You're going to go on the ground or you put your hand behind your back. >> This is being done on purpose. >> You are being detained. >> And this is on video, correct? >> Correct. Or is it not on? >> See that red? Okay. Thank you. >> That means it's on. Are you going to put your hand behind your back? >> And your name is >> Deputy Gillard. 6671. Marian County Sheriff. >> And your ID number is >> 6671. >> No. Your actual ID number? >> 6671. >> Put her in cuffs to detain her? >> No, he does not. I'm putting her in cuffs. He's not supposed to put his hands on me. >> Okay. >> Where's your supervisor? Can you get him here? >> I don't I'm trying. >> Now, please let me go. You have your hands on the ground. Let me go. >> You're going to put your hands behind your back or you're going to go on the ground. I don't want to put you on the ground. >> You're not going to put me on the ground, >> bro. Come on, bro. >> She acted as if she were completely innocent. But little did she know that her actions were only adding a resisting charge to her troubles. As a result, deputies soon carried out exactly what they had warned her about moments earlier. >> Put your hands behind your back, >> sir. Okay. Put your hands behind your back. >> Chill. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Just chill. >> This is [ __ ] up. >> Listen, I got your back. I told you I did. >> This is all [ __ ] >> You're going to get mail, bro. Please chill. I'm not >> Tell her. Just chill out. Listen, I got you. I'm going to bail you out if you need it. All right, just relax. >> Up. Be on it. This is literally put on purpose. >> Back up for me. Yeah, >> this is on [ __ ] purpose. >> Just relax. >> Stupid as [ __ ] Not me. >> She was right. >> She asked a man about the other lady. She didn't leave with none of that at all. >> Hold it in hands. >> I told you several times to put your hands behind your back, >> sir. And you grabbed me and Lely, you're not supposed to. I'm a female and you're a male. You're supposed to have a female deputy here. That is against the law. I know my rights. I know my constitution. Thank you. >> I'm not [ __ ] >> These suspects seem to believe that getting rid of the stolen merchandise somehow wiped away their wrongdoing. The female suspect even saw herself as the victim despite the accusations stacked against her. >> Is it ask the man at Walmart that said the [ __ ] here not to say no to see what they do? No, because I know the man said thing cuz he told me that they were going to [ __ ] arrest me. >> Take it off or do you want to cut it off? >> Due to Tamara >> because she stole all the >> All right, we're going to take >> Sure. We're going to take one of the handcuffs off so we can take this off. If you resist, you're going straight back in the cuffs and we're going to cut it off of you. >> Cut what off of me? >> This bag. >> Go for it. I don't >> got to go down. >> Best believe you're both on camera. And best believe y'all are both going to get something through it due to the fact of um false accusation setting up a whole innocent female >> due to one of your police officers. >> Nothing. >> What are you arresting me for? >> I don't want anything. >> What are you detaining me for? >> Have a seat. >> What are you arresting meat? What are you putting in the back of the car? >> Have a seat and we can talk. >> Just let him be in the back car. >> Have a seat. I'll bail you out. >> That's not the point. No, you won't. Don't make sure that you can't. I have a seat >> like they did you >> can I have a seat? >> I want Why am I Why am I getting >> The woman was charged with retail theft, resisting an officer without violence and drug [music] possession. Never assume that abandoning stolen merchandise will erase the crime. Surveillance footage, witness statements, and your own actions afterward can still be enough to hold you accountable. >> I demonstrate actually. It's It's quite easy. No, don't rip any more nugs. >> Rip any bags off? >> No. Do you have the one? >> Yeah. And I just don't want to do it in front of her. So, it's up to >> On the 16th of April 2025, police received a report from a Florida store about a woman who had allegedly stuffed more than $1,000 worth of merchandise into her bag without any intention of paying. Officers responded to the scene immediately, and this was what unfolded next. >> All right, so this is the deal. She was sealed over $1,000 of her stuff in a bag. She's not taking it all out when she was approached. The problem is is we weren't just trying to be nice and gonna get all our stuff back, but we're still missing items and she's acting like I mean she works here or something so and hasn't. So maybe you can help us get her items back. >> Hello. >> Hi. How are you? >> Good. How are you? >> I'm good. >> Do you have a driver's license with you or an ID? >> Uh she has it. >> All right. And apparently from New York, but >> Do you live down in Florida now or >> No, I live here. I grew up here and I lived in New York for 15 years only. >> Okay. How long have you been living down here from New York? >> Okay. About 2020. >> She's looking for two items without tags on them. And I She's asking me where they are. I don't know. I can look for her. I offered to pay for the two for the inconvenience. I know they came off. She said they don't come off when you try them on. >> I mean, we heard in the fitting room like ripping. >> No, I mean [clears throat] these don't come off easily. This is like a whole May I demonstrate? Actually, it's quite easy. I never don't rip any more tags. >> Rip any tags off. >> No, just set it down. Sit down. >> If you put the tag in while you dress it. >> She openly admitted what she had done without showing any real shame or remorse. In fact, two items were still missing. Yet, instead of helping recover them, she made little effort to assist and continued insisting she had no idea where they were. >> I wanted to get their stuff back, but they're missing those two items. So that's where we're at right now. >> Did I throw them away? No. >> Throw them on. >> Do you have them on under your face? >> No, I don't. And I don't have any. I offered to >> She said these just She said these just fell off. >> They're very easy to fall off. And so there's I know that there's like nine pairs of each in the bottom. I guarantee you there's at least two with those. >> It is. I ma'am, I looked before we wasted your time. are people out there or were looking. She either ditched them somewhere or where they can't be found or she's wearing them. Those are the only two options. There's no other option. >> The hangers, the empty hangers were also found. So, that's also an indication. >> Okay. Do you mind if I look in your bag? >> I I don't I do mind, but it's like cuz >> Okay. Do you mind if I look in the bag? Do you mind if I search the bag? >> Sure. >> Okay. Do you understand they're trying to work with you and just get their stuff back? >> Yes. And I would I told them I would I mean, how can I go look? The thing is, I went in twice to the dressing room and the first time it was a younger girl that helped me and I gave everything back and that was when those tags fell off. So, they were on the hangers without the tags. I put the tags in my bag. I just didn't want to say, "Sorry, these fell off, blah blah blah." So when I went into the dressing room to get rid of everything and leave those I put outside with the bra paddings that I had. >> Officers suspected that the missing items were actually being worn by the woman, but she had no intention of allowing any inspection. Her refusal to cooperate quickly frustrated the store representative. >> This isn't the this isn't this isn't our first rodeo. So we know our we know our our our laws and what we need to do. She knows hers. We can press charges on everything that you conceal, which is a felony charge in the state of Florida. It's over $1,000 and you will go to jail. All I'm saying, ma'am, very kindly and nicely. It's we want our stuff back. Tell me where you ditched them. Save all these people's nice time. We will we will trespass you from the store and we never have to see each other again. You can't go into another dealers for seven years. >> And it's it it's that simple. or we she has to take out and take put your handcuffs on, walk you out the store and you have to go to jail. >> I Okay, I can I go with you and her >> ask you the entire time to please tell me the truth. I am a person. >> They're going to be on a hanger in one of three spots or on the floor. >> All right. By the dresses. That's it. >> She's going to walk. So, if y'all want to escort her as well to show them where she thinks it is. She just showed a yellow strap. So, But she won't really she won't show it. >> But just in case she tries to jet, >> are these these same tags? >> Are these the tags? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> They're all We've already checked. Every one of them had tags on it. >> We checked everyone our own. Hold on. I'll just >> So, the whereabouts of those two missing items remained a mystery hidden behind the woman's deception. With no sign of cooperation and the evidence continuing to mount, officers made their decision. >> Put your hands right back. >> Okay. >> I'm not I'm not >> I just have like a bad shoulder. >> Okay. To um I'll go wherever you want. >> Take her back to the room where you want to take her right to the court. Well, from here we're going to take you to jail and then you will see a judge. Judge a jail? >> I've never been. Yeah. >> Yeah. You >> like not like the courthouse? >> Yes. >> Downtown. >> Downtown. >> And then how long do I say that? >> Uh it all depends. It all depends on how uh the uh whatever time the judge uh your case comes up. Could be late, could be today, could be tomorrow. I can't give you a definite time. >> You want just broke >> off just from the amount of merchandise she stole. It was highly likely that she was stealing the items to resell them illegally. She appeared to be completely professional at it and even the employees statements reinforced that impression in the fitting room. So I know what I put in there. She comes out. She has two items in her hand. Now the items that she went in there with and we went in the fitting room. We went in there and I asked to check her bag and then she refused to walk to the fitting room and then she shut the door and she was taking items off her bag and then she admitted to us that she had put them in her bag. She admitted to you >> at in the funeral. >> Okay. Admitted to you in the f. All right. No problem. And uh what time did you guys observe her? It >> was around 4:25. >> 4:25. Perfect. >> Was when I want to It was probably like that's when I was looking at my phone. I know it was 4:25, but it was before that. I was still watching her probably around like 4:15. >> 411. 411. >> So she got here 4:11. >> Oh, no. They were >> That's when she called. He came out at 4:11 and we're >> and that incident I just told you >> and that all went down was later on. >> Oh, when I called you, >> she called me. >> So, she called me at 3:48. So, she was in the store. >> Oh, she was Okay. >> She's been here for a while. Yeah. I was in the back and she called me to come and and >> So, what was she doing during that time when she first got here? >> Okay. So, I was putting stuff back, right? And then I just see a bunch of items. >> Uh-huh. and I offered her help, but she was like, "No, no, no. I'll go in with you." So, that was the first round she was doing and I saw everything she took in there more than cuz she left. She came out and she left six items out. She had more than six items when she went the first time. So, that's when I called my manager. She was >> after an exhausting search for the missing merchandise, the woman finally decided to come clean. As it turned out, the items they had been looking for were never far away at all. >> No. Do you have them on? >> Yeah. And I just don't want to do it in front of her. So, it's up to if I don't see her again, I'll give it to you now somehow. You can go to the bathroom, whatever it is. But if she's going to be involved more, I don't want to do it here. I just don't. So, whatever that I don't want to see her. She's been absolutely [clears throat] okay. You I have an I have underwear on as well. So, if you just My shoulders are >> So, you just want to pull those down. >> Mhm. >> Okay. I think at least more than one. This is totally like It's like the it's not normal. I'm going to do this. Not normal. My day has not been like worst [snorts] day ever. So, this is this is the dumbest thing I could have done. [snorts] I have my sports bra in my bag that I'm sure I can't wear, but >> they're they're going to take it from you anyway. So, they're going to give you >> give you clothes to wear. >> This and I just keep my jacket. Keep your shirt on. >> That has a tag on it. That has a tag on it. >> And no more bottoms. Just the one bottoms. Not You don't have the bottoms to this one. >> I don't have it. No, I don't have anything else. Okay. >> I mean, [snorts] it was two totally different scenarios and everything was like talked to me. I said, "Yeah, I'm really sorry." She goes, "We'll walk you out." And I gave it to her. you can't come down. He had the upper dill bl and the other woman just screamed and came out and yelled and dragged me back in all the security and all this stuff. She's saying, "Where is this?" And I said, "To go to go." It was just outrageous. It was just like I just froze out. >> I waited for you guys. And then, you know, I I don't have any other priors and I don't don't know what it even means to go to jail. Finally, the woman was charged with grand theft for stealing merchandise valued at over $1,000. People who think they can outsmart everyone often forget one thing. The truth usually takes longer to uncover, but it almost always catches up in the end. >> Stashed a large bag of HBC items on the HBC aisle. >> Do you ever identify yourself as a Broward or Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy? >> As a deputy or a police officer? On the 3rd of February 2025, police responded to a public store following reports of an alleged theft. Although the female suspect had managed to flee the scene before officers arrived, she left behind a trail of questions. According to store employees, this was how the retail drama unfolded. >> Well, she first she had a those pink bags right there. >> She had hidden one of those behind the Hallmark rack on aisle 11. Okay. And then the when we saw her, she was on aisle nine loading up all of these kind of bags, okay, >> of of stuff. Then she came through the registers with this and wanted to know why everybody was asking her if she needed help. And then she's like, "Well, I'm just going to leave this." But then she went back and got all the stuff she had already bagged up and came through register one and was heading towards the door. So I told her she couldn't leave with the stuff. She goes, "I haven't left the store yet." I said, "You don't have to leave the store. You passed all points of payment." Mhm. >> And then she started arguing that she was a Broward County Sheriff's Office and we were embarrassing ourselves and blah blah blah. And she started walking out the door with all this stuff. >> Video and all that, too. >> Yeah, they're probably in there if you want to go in there. >> What initially looked like a routine shoplifting case quickly spiraled into a much more complicated problem. As officers debriefed with the store manager, it became glaringly obvious that the suspect's toxic attitude and brazen behavior had escalated the incident into a serious criminal matter. Okay. Explain to me what happened today. >> There was a black female uh loading up grocery carts uh several bags of groceries. When we approached her to ask her if she needed assistance, she cpped an attitude which sent up a red flag for us. We kept our eye on her. Uh she stashed a large bag of HBC items on the HBC aisle. Then she passed all points of sale with a large two large grocery carts full of product. When we asked her to stop and not leave with the product, she started arguing with us, telling us she hasn't even left the store yet. And we told her, "Well, you passed all points of sale, so we're asking you, are you intending to purchase these items?" She continued to try to walk out the door with three full reusable bags full of products that she was insisting she came in with. But that is not true cuz on CCTV she is seen coming into the store with nothing. So we took the bags from the cart and she exited the store. Then we called 911. >> And um what was the total amount of groceries take as >> over $1,300. >> Okay. And did you see this person leave or flee in a car or anything? >> She did. She was arguing with us as she was exiting the building, insisting she was a Broward County officer. She got >> Did she display any badges or anything? >> She did not display any badges. She did give the 911 operator a badge number. I don't know if it was hers, but she did recite a badge. >> So, the suspect claimed to be a law enforcement officer. That detail proved to be significant as it would later affect the charges against her. As things turned out, the store's crystal clear surveillance footage was ready to verify every word of the employees accounts. >> He has on a lot of jewelry. Jewelry on her necklace, jewelry on both anklets, jewelry on her wrist, a big giant cross. She says she's a a Broward County Sheriff's officer, but this is where she's like trying to push and she's just saying, "Take your stuff and go. Take your stuff and go." And she's like, "Don't push through me. Don't push through me." And they ended up just taking her bags out. >> So, what do you want me to do? >> Just take a statement from her and then if she uh if she's able to upload cuz I know usually >> she says, "You're embarrassing yourself. You're embarrassing yourself." >> And then I'll give >> She's trying to leave with all that stuff that she did not pay for. She just wants to argue. She knew this whole thing. I took a picture of it and I just grabbed it and put it on um the register in case she's like, "Where's my bag that I left on aisle 11?" If she was going to pay for it. Great. Oh, I just found it on the aisle. I wasn't sure who it was, whose it was. >> So, you didn't charge her with that stuff. >> Just what she tried to walk out with. >> No, she was going to take all of it. That was all HBC items and she had the whole g this whole grocery cart loaded up. All that was in the bag she was trying to leave with. >> That saying she already paid for it. My cashier's like she came in with absolutely nothing. She took the Hallmark bags and loaded them up. >> They reached out to you about the uh gift card stuff we worked on. >> Following a month-long investigation, detectives finally tracked down the woman and brought her into the interrogation room. [music] However, after all that time, she seemed to have developed a convenient case of amnesia, flatly denying any involvement in the incident. >> How you doing? I'm a detective with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. >> Um, one of the reasons we're here is to speak to you about an incident that occurred on February 3rd of LA this year. >> Um, before I talk to you, I have to read your rights because I'm going to ask you some questions and I'm just trying to get some clarification on something that happened down in Palm Beach County. >> Palm Beach County. >> Yeah. You understand what I'm You understand what I'm saying? >> Yes. >> Do you understand? I'm a law enforcement officer from Palm Beach County, though. >> Okay. I'm going to read you something and then after that I can give you some more information and you can decide whether or not you want to talk to me. Do >> you understand that? >> I'm Detective Baro at the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. I'm required to February 3rd of this year around 9:45 in the morning, you were at Publix on Lakew Worth Road in that Mercedes-Benz and you had an altercation with a female manager um about some groceries. I guess she was following you around the store. You told her to leave you alone and she continued to follow you. It it it appeared that you seen that she she was harassing you. Do you recall that incident? >> Yeah, but I left the store and she said that that she something. I don't know. And I said, "Okay, whatever." And I left. >> No, I I know you left. I got you on video leaving. >> Another key detail in the case was also brought up by investigators. The allegation that she had impersonated a law enforcement officer. Yet with the cops watching her every move, she played a surprisingly innocent act, appearing suspiciously oblivious to the severe trouble she had talked herself into. >> More importantly is when you made contact with her the first time, did you ever identify yourself as a Broward or Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy? >> As a deputy >> or a police officer, >> a detective? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> I'm nowhere near none of that. >> Okay. Because the second time she made contact with you, she was on the phone with the 91 911 operator and she >> she said call she said I'm going to call them. I said they're right there outside. >> She was on the phone. >> She was on the phone with the operator. >> They're right there outside. >> And I want what I want to is she when she was on the phone with them, >> she said yeah. And she's identified herself as a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Detective. >> I don't even I didn't even know I was in Palm Beach. >> And then your voices in the background clarifying that no, it was Broward. And then you provided your identification number. You provided an ID number. >> No, not >> you don't remember doing that? >> No. >> What were your intentions when you were there? >> My intentions were for her to leave me alone cuz I feel like she was harassing me. But to even say something along the lines of >> I think that I'm someone else other than who I am. >> Okay. Now, when you were grocery shopping there, >> why did you pass off point of sale with the grocery parks? >> Just in the midst of trying to get something that I didn't want, but I didn't take anything. $100. >> No, no. You left you abetted everything at the front door. >> Yeah, I left everything. And the reason why I decided to do that was because I wanted to get back home to my children. I was going to miss the >> still going through my I'm still going through now that I was getting dressed to go to now. >> Okay. >> And I can no longer go. >> So you you don't recall identifying yourself as a Broward County Sheriff's Deputy. >> That part. >> Do you remember providing an identification number? >> I don't >> cuz you in the in the 911 recording you said you said no, I'm a Broward. No, but you you you you're specifically saying that's who I am and you identified yourself with an ID number. >> I don't know. I don't even know how ID numbers. >> Okay. >> But her frantic denials meant absolutely nothing against an overwhelming and meticulously documented mountain of evidence. With her options entirely exhausted, the woman could no longer dodge the inevitable consequences of what the police were about to do next. So, at this point in time, just so you know, you're being arrested for a Palm Beach County warrant for attempted grand theft. Okay. There was over $1,600 worth of groceries in most carts that you tried to walk out with. >> 1,600. Okay. Well, and that's what the calculations came out to. And you're also being charged with um impersonating a police officer cuz we have you on an audio line. >> But I've never found a police officer. >> Well, you did on audio. You said you were No, you corrected her. She said Palm Beach and you said no. Broward. And then you provided an ID number and you said that's who I am. >> And I said that. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Wow. >> I've got I've got more I've got it on audio recording and three witnesses that said the same thing. >> So, yep. I'm sorry for your illness. I'm I'm hoping you get better, but you still, you know, unfortunately, you have to go to jail. Myar Police Department is going to take you to the county jail, book you in. Right now, you have no bond, but a judge can reset a bond here in Broward and bond you out. But for now, it's a no bond warrant until you prove who you are and and you prove residency and the fact that you're not a flight risk. >> Flight risk. >> I mean, I I don't know how they do it here in Broward. In Palm Beach County, you'd have to prove that you're not a flight risk and um a valid address and they'd probably let you go with a bond. >> How do I get the bond? >> Um well, if you post a bond here, you'll get a court date. If you don't post a bot here, then our our fugitive unit will pick you up within the next 10 days and take you to Palm Beach. >> So, what do I do about being sued? >> Well, no, you don't let them know. >> Finally, the woman was charged with attempted grand theft and impersonating a police officer, flashing a fake badge or claiming false authority might seem like an easy escape, but a stolen title only builds a faster track to jail when reality finally catches up. What's your take on this case? Next. This former law firm employee stole $3.5 million from her employer. >> I'll never do that. >> But you do have a warrant. >> I didn't do that. Okay. >> That's why I'm here. >> It's a long story. I didn't have >> We lost our apartment. I've been living in her hotel. >> On the 22nd of March 2025, officers received a report that a wanted woman had been spotted there. She was accused of embezzling millions of dollars from a law firm where she had once worked. Officers were dispatched to the restaurant where she was dining. And this was what happened next. [music] >> I was out front. >> Okay. >> You looking for somebody? >> Yeah. What color? >> What color is there? Right there. Ponytail. Hello, M. Renee, can you follow me, please? >> I'm sorry. >> Can you follow me, please? >> Renee, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> In fact, the man holding the phone was her former boss, who had spent months searching for her after discovering the massive amount of money that had been stolen. The woman also immediately appeared nervous, as if she understood exactly what was happening. >> Just go ahead out the door. >> Can I get my stuff? >> What? How? What? What stuff do you have? Oh, >> my purse. My jacket. >> Where is it? It's >> right in there. >> All right. I'll search one and come back and get it. [music] >> Did you drive here? >> No. >> Spell your first name. >> Spell your first name for me. >> R E N E. Your date of birth? >> 61362. >> No, but this in reference to >> Yes. >> What is it? >> Uh, some money I took from Ted. >> You know you got a warrant? >> No. >> Okay. You have a warrant? Um, what property do you have in there? >> Uh, my purse in my jacket. >> Purse in your jacket. Could this young lady get it for you? >> Yeah. Could you get mine? It's It's um by where the Do you want me to? >> No. As long as you're cooperative, you won't have an issue. But if you not cooperative and you give me a hard time, then of course I have to down to >> I'll never do you. >> But you do have a warrant. >> I didn't know that. Okay, >> that's why I'm here. >> The woman claims she had no idea that a warrant had been issued for her arrest. Moments later, she also admitted that she had taken money from her former workplace. >> Ticket I just since I lost my job with him, I haven't been able to pay it. M. >> Gotcha. >> It's a long story. I didn't have We lost our apartment. I've been living in a hotel for the past 6 months. So, I didn't have the money to do anything. >> Okay. >> Nothing illegal on you at all? >> Oh, absolutely not. >> No guns? No. >> No drugs? No. >> None of that stuff? Okay. >> Cinch. >> Cinch. Where's Valdez? Where's Valdez? Whose car? >> Uh, Bald. >> I need a car. >> Everything that was at the table is in there. Um, just grab it in the >> You got his number? >> Yeah. Okay. Up to that point, the woman had been fairly cooperative with everything that was happening. However, to prevent any possible attempt to flee, officers proceeded to place her in handcuffs. >> Places cuffs on you in the front. Okay, we just It is what it is. I got a bunch of cuffs. >> Oh, I understand. >> All right. Do you have anything else in your pockets besides that bait? >> I have a a hotel key in my back pocket. Okay, that's fine. We're just we're more concerned about weapons. >> Yeah. Now, I >> I do not like weapons. >> Have a seat. >> All right. So, again, I'm giving any issues. I'm going to make you comfortable as possible. >> Right now, my thing is I I can't keep him tied up. We're going to head to my office. >> I'm going to let you freely do whatever you want to do to an extent >> and then uh we're going to head to the jail after that. >> Okay. I >> I've just got to complete your paperwork. That's all. >> Is there any chance that I would be able to get out and take care of things? >> As long as I look at I got to look at your information. All I know right now is you have a warrant. You confirm your identity to me. I already knew who you were. I saw the picture of you. I knew it's you >> right >> now. I got to look at everything in detail and see and let you know your bond information, let you know what's going to happen, etc., etc. >> I appreciate it. Okay. So, just give give me give me time. >> You got it. Thank you. I'm really sorry. There's this happened and then there's something this guy was burglarizing cars over here. So, he's on the stretch of fire rescue. We're going to make sure fire rescue is okay and then we're going to go. Okay. >> Sorry about the delay. >> Is there any way we could loosen this a little bit? I tried to pull back and >> even while while I have you here, I'll just take it off. >> Okay. >> I'll put back on. >> Okay. Oh, thank you. I can breathe. Shortly afterwards, she was taken to the police station where the full amount involved and the charges she would face were officially determined. >> Issue 41725. Money laundering. >> Huh? >> Grand theft over 100k. >> I don't know about the money laundering part, but okay. >> So you So you have no bond. You got to see a judge. The judge is going to give you a bond in the morning. 0 7:00 in the morning. >> How does bonds work? I'm all new to this. [laughter] So if it was if it was uh bondable then the bond would be here. The numbers will be here. >> Mhm. >> Um but when it's no bond that means the judge want to see you. >> Okay. >> Before so you can he's going to give you stipulations. >> All right. >> But there is a chance that I can get out tomorrow. >> Tomorrow morning. Yeah. After he give you your bond and your stipulations. Yes. >> Okay. You wouldn't be able to answer anything until I see the judge because you wouldn't know because Okay. I got it. How you [laughter] doing? >> I'm not quite sure. Well, I kind of know. >> You kind of know? >> Yeah. >> You got a good idea? >> The woman, Renee, was charged with multiple counts of grand theft and moneyaundering after allegedly stealing more than $3.5 million from her former employer. She later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 6 years in prison. No matter how long someone avoids responsibility, financial crimes eventually catch up, and honesty is always less costly than deception. Even worse, take a look at this woman whose chaotic behavior was no less outrageous. >> I'm going to the bathroom >> cuz I have a credit card >> and a phone. >> Okay, so that's your >> All right, >> put your hands around your back. >> On the 26th of October, 2024, officers received a call from a local restaurant reporting a woman who had refused to pay her bill and assaulted a staff member. They immediately responded to the scene and this was what unfolded next. >> Charges first if she doesn't want to pay her bill. Yes. Got it. >> Hello ma'am. I'm officer Watson. How you doing tonight? >> Um okay. Waiting for my attorney to arrive. >> You're waiting for your attorney to arrive. Okay. So I'm going to give you two options today. All right. So you can either go to jail or you can leave peacefully and pay your bill. >> I'm going to leave peacefully. >> Okay. So, let's go ahead and pay your bill or you're going to jail tonight. >> Who has your bill? >> Let's pay your bill. >> Go to the bathroom first cuz I don't >> I'm going to film me right now. >> You're on You're being recorded. >> I I can go to the bathroom. I have a right to go. >> Okay. No, you're going to leave the establishment, but prior to doing that, you're going to pay your bill that you have not paid. >> I will pay my bill. >> Okay. Okay. So, let's go ahead and pay your bill. >> I'm going to the bathroom cuz I need a bathroom. >> You're not going to the bathroom. You're going to vacate the premises. >> If I vacate the premises, what am I going to do? >> No, you're going to pay your bill and you're going to leave. >> You're not. Just tell me. I have to go my >> I'm going to the bathroom cuz I have a credit card >> and a phone attorney. The woman showed absolutely no willingness to cooperate, creating a tense atmosphere throughout the restaurant. Officers attempted to put an end to the disturbance, but it seemed she only made the situation even worse. >> You want to put your phone down? >> Right now, you can't do >> You cannot trespass me and say nothing. Stop. >> No, this is not >> I'm calling my insurance. >> Okay, that's fine. >> So, you're putting me in jail for the bathroom? >> No. You want to pay your bill? You >> I want to pay my bill. I put your stuff down. >> Can I go pay my bill now? >> Put your stuff down. Put your stuff down. >> No, I'm not doing this right now. I'm not doing this right now. >> Oh, ma'am. I do not want to take you to the ground. If you keep fighting me, I'm going to take you to the ground. >> I'm calling my attorney right now. >> Stop. Do not, >> ma'am. You're not going to overpower me and I'm going to throw you to the ground here in a second. Stop resisting. >> You're literally doing this in a public place. >> Oh my god. >> All right. Put your hands around your back. >> She ended up on the ground because of her own stubbornness. Yet even then, she failed to recognize her wrongdoing and continued defying officers while making their job even more difficult. All this stand up. >> All this for >> I told you I would pay my bill. I told you I would pay my bill. >> Give me my phone. >> I I'll give it to you. Take a seat. Take a seat. Put your feet in. >> Give me my stuff. I will give you your stuff. Just take a seat. >> No, I want my stuff first. >> I want my purse. Is the purse sitting on my car? >> No, it's not. >> Yes, it is. You just put it there. >> This is ridiculous. Watch your feet so I can grab your purse. >> Where are my shoes at? >> I'm going to grab them. You put it on top of my car. >> Move your feet. wrestled me as a 40-year-old super >> acting like a child. >> I'm not acting like a child. >> You're paid by them. You're paid by them. >> I don't know what you're talking about. >> Oh, I do know what you're talking about. Okay. >> It seemed her arrogance had completely taken over her judgment, making the situation even worse. Shortly after the arrest, the officer returned to the restaurant to complete the remaining procedures related to the case. >> I need a statement from you if you do not mind. You might want to do it on that. So, just put uh your information, name, date of birth, and all that good jazz. >> So, to start it off, if you could just say she came, whoever this female is, if you guys know her information, that's fine. Just say she came in, she sat down, you know, maybe had something to drink, something to eat while here, she did this, and then once whenever she however she punched you, bit you, just write that in. Okay. So, she also like make me look like sh she was grabbing my ass in front of all the customers like my back multiple times. >> Did you want to first start? >> Oh, >> I saw it happen. I guess I'm standing right there. >> Oh, you mean I'll be >> I don't mind it. I'll charge her with that as well. >> That's up to you. Yes, that's >> Should I do that? >> That's because she touched you. >> I'm I'm okay. I don't want her to be in trouble. >> I'll at least just say that it happened, but that you don't want anything. >> I don't want her coming back again. >> Okay. You guys want to trespass? I'm assuming. >> The woman was charged with battery and resisting an officer without violence. Pride and stubbornness can be more damaging than the original mistake. Taking responsibility early may prevent a situation from escalating into an arrest, criminal charges, and public embarrassment. [music] Next, this woman became so consumed by her own lies. >> What's your real name? What's your Just be Just be straight up. >> I'm looking at you right now. What's your real name? >> I forgot that they must have fell in my bag. Those two were on top of my cart. They must have fell in. I promise. >> Where's the cart? On the 25th of October 2025, officers responded to a call from a Michael store reporting that a woman with an outstanding warrant for theft had been spotted inside. As soon as officers approached her, she immediately resorted to the familiar lies she had used before. >> Hey sir, >> what's your name? >> Um, Stephanie on a burglar alarm at Starbucks. >> Was looking for somebody. I didn't know if maybe you saw her or anything like that. >> No. Okay. Do you have an ID on you? I was just saying I made contact with you. >> Oh, no. I didn't I don't have an ID on me. I have a picture of my ID on my phone, but >> That's cool. Can I see it? >> Um my phone is in the actual in the vehicle. >> What car is it? >> My It's my boyfriend's car and I don't know if I have that exact um actual phone that has a picture in it, but you more than welcome to look. >> Cool. Could you put Could you put the uh first down? >> Yeah, that's fine. There's nothing in here, sir. >> Put Put that bag down, too. >> Okay. There's nothing in there. >> Okay. Okay. You don't have any weapons on you, right? >> Sure. I don't I don't have anything on me, and I didn't take anything out of the store, Stephan. Okay. As long as everything checks out, you won't be in trouble. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> Yeah, that's >> Yeah, that's what I thought, too. What's your real name? >> What's your name? >> Just be Just be straight up. >> I'm looking at [ __ ] right now. What's your real name? >> In fact, the name she hastily provided was a fake one, and her earlier attempts to avoid providing identification only made that even more obvious. To prevent any chance of her fleeing, the officers decided it was time to take action. >> Okay, turn around. Just don't put me in handc. I didn't steal anything. But I didn't steal anything. But I didn't take anything, sir. But >> you came here in that in that, right? >> No, I didn't, sir. I didn't take anything. >> I know. But look at my bag, sir. >> About what happened today? >> Cuz you got a warrant. >> Oh, I don't. But I don't, sir. That's been took me care. I went to court for that already. >> Yeah. show up. >> But I didn't say anything. >> But look what look how you started off though. Not out of us. Okay. >> Out of where? >> Chicago Heights. >> What do you mean? But I don't have a warrant, sir. >> But I don't. I promise you. 2 seconds ago. I just ran. >> I know, but I took care of that this morning. I was in the courthouse this morning. >> Okay, then we'll get that figured out, right? Okay, good deep breath. >> If you paid attention, she brought up shoplifting before the officers ever mentioned it. That rush to explain herself only made her look more suspicious, and her claim that she hadn't taken anything was quickly exposed as a lie when evidence began to surface. >> Rodeo, right? >> It's not. >> So, >> where we at? >> Right here, sir. >> Okay. What's going on there? >> I just I forgot that must have fell in my bag. Those two were on top of my cart. They must have fell in. I promise. >> Where's the cart? >> The cart's over there by the mean stuff. >> I have my stuff in the back. >> Let's go. We're going to start walking this way. Yes, sir. >> But sir, I promise you I took care of that warrant this morning. I went to court. >> Is it in the pile? >> I don't have a car key, sir. >> I don't have the pile. >> I don't have no car keys. How'd you get your left in the car? I took the Uber. >> Don't stop lying. I promise I took the Uber, sir. >> Don't start lying. I don't have a car. You can check me. I don't have a car. >> I don't have a car. What car? >> I don't have a car, sir. >> What cases do you have open? >> Can you tell me what cases you have open on me, sir? >> I will. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. Let's all take a breath. Yes, sir. >> There's a lot of ways this can go. Yes, sir. >> Okay. We don't need it to go all crazy where you're you're compounding situations. Okay. >> Mhm. >> The key to the Nissan that you always drive. Now, >> I don't listen. Let's please don't I've been on the shop for a minute. Okay. I know you have a probably a habit. That's how you support it. Okay. I know there's a hustle out there. >> Take a breath. You're talking to someone who's worked out my whole life. Okay. >> Mhm. >> We're not trying to make this any worse. It's shoplifting in Cook County. >> Okay. It's not murder, which is pretty much the only thing they enforce here. Okay. So, you might have a bad night, but then we get you in front of a judge. You go to court for your cases. >> Her panicked denials only showed how determined she was to avoid admitting her wrongdoing. In reality, she knew she could no longer escape the consequences and the worry was beginning to set in. >> When you got to go to court, though, >> tomorrow morning. >> But I got to stay in jail tonight. >> You got to take two breaths and let me see. Maybe we sight notice you. Okay. If this warrant isn't good anymore and there's two retail cases, guess what? It's a sight notice. Welcome to Cook County. Now, >> what do you mean welcome sight notice? I get to go home. >> If it's if it's just the retail theft reports, okay, that we have for >> What if they didn't put the information in the system? >> Well, then we're going to find out. I'm going to do our due diligence to figure that out, but you need to work with me a little bit. Okay. So, the Nissan that you're driving over there, did you come here by yourself today? >> Um, no. Um, no, sir. My friend dropped me off. >> He drops me off. >> Nissan's right there. I have it blocked in. >> Okay. It's locked in. I have it. I I don't want to drag it. I don't want your car. Okay. So, what I'm telling you is where's the key fob for the car? >> I don't I promise you I don't have it. >> Is that your phone inside the car? >> Yeah, that um it should be my phone, but that's my friend's car. And he went into a different He doesn't know what I'm doing. >> Okay. He does know your name. >> No, he doesn't. I promise you he doesn't know his name. >> Mr. Reeves. >> No, sir. >> What's Who's with you? >> Um I I don't know his last name. I know his first name is P. >> Okay. >> But I don't I don't know like his last name. >> I I I've I've circled down the tornado of [ __ ] Okay. I'm going to give you one more opportunity. >> But I promise you I don't have a key, sir. I promise you I don't. Okay. >> At that point, the officers informed her that the car would be towed, causing her to panic and lose her composure. It was a concern she never seemed to have when she was taking items that belong to someone else. No, but I'm telling you, does the car have a dent on the front end, sir? >> Does the car have a dent on the front end? >> Where? >> Can I make a quick phone call? >> Nope. >> You could uh give us the key so we don't have to drag it. >> You don't have to drag it. Make a phone call. That's why I'm trying to make a phone call for you, sir. >> That's why I promise I'm trying to make the phone call because I don't have the key, sir. >> Okay. >> I don't have anything on me. I promise. >> He's not wanted. We don't want him. We just want you. Get the car. That's all we want. >> Don't take his car. Please. It's not his car. Please don't take his car. Get in. Please don't take his car. Please. I'm begging you not to take his car cuz he doesn't know what I'm doing here. He thinks No, I'm He thinks that I come up here and I exchange items. That's what he thinks. I promise you. He does not know. Please don't take his car, sir. >> Okay. Get in the car. >> Will you please not take his car? >> See, this is the one thing that like the circuit like the consequences. It may be shitty like in your case >> but right what I right what what I'm telling you is that he doesn't know what I promise he doesn't know what I do. >> Okay. >> He thinks that I come here and I exchange items. He doesn't know. >> Here's the thing. Here's the thing. We'll get there one step at a time. Okay. >> Okay. Well, please don't check his car. >> We We still got to go in in the car. We got to make sure that the stolen post from previous things are not in that car. >> From where I go? Where did I go? >> Two open case. >> All right. Let's go. Let's get in the car for sir. >> Okay. But I can call you open the car for you. >> Get in the car. No, but I'm saying he can call you and I can have him open the car for you, sir. I can call him and he can open the car for you. He I can call him lying to you. >> I promise you I won't lie. I'm I'm telling you I can call him and he can open the car for you. You can look in there. There's nothing in there, sir. Please, sir. >> Finally, the woman was arrested on an outstanding retail theft warrant and was also charged with felony retail theft. It's easy to ignore the consequences when taking from others, but the moment those same consequences come knocking at your own door, there's nowhere left to run. >> I'm not yelling. I'm a motivational speaker, so I'm elevating. >> Motivational. >> And at the end of the day, >> we're about to have you step out whenever the hand comes back on. >> You didn't. >> On the 25th of August, 2024, police were dispatched to a local restaurant following reports of an active brawl. But what initially sounded like a straightforward dispute quickly proved otherwise as officers arrived to find a highly volatile scene with the tension still unfolding. >> Are you guys okay? >> Uh she attacked him a bit. She was throwing glasses and everything. >> Okay. >> Okay, ma'am. >> No. No. You will not act like I'm the problem. >> I'm not. I'm not. Okay, good. Calm down then. >> No, I'm fine. >> Go speak to the officer, please. >> I thought that you were acting >> No. So, you can tell >> B I D A L. Talk to the >> And hold on one sec. Hold on one second. >> What department are you with? >> John's Creek. >> You're with John's Creek. Okay. And you are V I D A L. Point your sergeant out right now. >> There's no sergeant. >> Okay. Call one. I'm done talking. Call one. Call a sergeant first. >> Excuse me. Call a sergeant first. >> The woman appeared to be a self-proclaimed expert on her civil rights, weaponizing them to refuse any cooperation with the investigation. But little did she know, several eyewitnesses on the scene were already providing officers with disturbing accounts of her actual behavior during the incident. >> She hit me so bad. He threw away a lot of stuff inside the restaurant. She put to a lot of customers and the manager here. She don't have money to pay. But he have a little issue because she don't have >> She was super nice at first. She got here and a half. She got a drink. Then she like met a couple who was sitting in the corner. They got in conversation. She got another round of drink and the guys bought two rounds of shots for now. So she got before at least I don't know here she got two shots, two drinks. She in her tap was only two of her drinks, one of her uh food, her meal. She was acting nicely. >> I witnessed it all and it >> okay there was >> no everything was great. There was no tension, nothing. Eventually a couples left. She also asked for a check. Start getting a busy. I'm running around. I give her a check. She give me the card. I run the card. card charge only 10 bucks because there's my system says it's insufficient funds. I bring it back like can you please check your card made some kind of mistake you know what happens she's like in I'm like darling I'm not working just with you please check your card I'll be with you in a second coming back she was g card the second time I'm running again now it's charging 14 bucks and it's still not an after card with the whole bill I was like sweetheart please make sure and she's like you need to slow down like sweetie once again I can't stay with you she's like I need to check my bank I need a Wi-Fi password I explained to her to get our Wi-Fi spend couple of minutes making sure she finally going to get connected after this I was like okay I'm going to was like, "No, you need to stay with me." I'm like, "Once again, I got the other customers that are looking right now at us. They're waiting for me. I'm going to go back." After this, she started yelling, "So, I need to come back." I went and I spooled her to make sure that she's going to be all right because once again, I got a bunch of customers. Despite the restaurant staff doing everything in their power to accommodate her, the woman was unable to settle the bill for the services she had consumed. Instead of paying, she engaged in a bizarre display of erratic behavior actions she later openly admitted to with absolutely zero remorse. >> Specifically asked you to touch my hair. >> Are you touching my hair? >> Nobody's touching your hair. >> Okay. Well, good day. >> Nobody's touching your hair. >> We'll wait for your boss. >> So, we don't even know. >> Can you tell that my hair is wet? >> Can you tell that my hair is wet? >> Can you see that my hair is wet? This person threw a drink at me first. The employee of the restaurant. He hit me with a glass drink outside my head and I fought him back. >> So, so listen, first of all, how you going? >> I didn't fight him, but I got him off of me. What's your name? >> My name is Trice. >> Trice. Trace. Trice. My name is >> Harzinski. >> Thank you for coming. I respect law enforcement. However, I have also been abused by law enforcement. I've had amazing experiences with law enforcement. I have family in law enforcement. So there is a little bit of everything from the top to the bottom and in between. And in this case, I don't know where I am. I don't know who you are and where you stand in law enforcement. So as a result of that, I asked you to touch my hair if you refuse to do that. You acknowledge that I do appear to be wet. >> Something something hit me with a glass drink and I defended myself. >> Okay. >> I did not see him swing. That probably was on my way over. And she did put him in a deadlock and was upper cutting. >> Let me talk. Try to calm down with me. I'm not coming at you. Right. So calm. When When did this all start? >> I am calm. It just started a second ago. >> Why you yelling though? You yelling at me. >> I'm I'm not yelling. I'm a motivational speaker. So I'm elevating. I like motivational. >> And at the end of the day, I'm going to be clear for your body camera in hopes that it's on. So at the like I said turn towards the to the title of the restaurant. Do that first. >> Do that first. >> We already did that. Do you have a job at the >> So senior patron you have the I'm not corresponding with you at all and you may say former fashion. No only. >> She aggressively tried to spin a narrative where she was the victim making things difficult for the officers by stubbornly insisting she was just exercising her legal rights. But the cops weren't buying her act. When officers approached other diners in the establishment, their accounts suggested a completely different reality. >> She went barrel on him with a cat. She I mean, I'm not kidding. She almost killed that woman with the long brown hair. We were sitting right next to her. I mean, that that was like like Trump. It was like right by her head. Do >> you know what vehicle she drove? >> The Jeep in the front. >> Oh, that's hers. >> Yeah, cuz she was going to get in it and I started screaming. So the officer has all this. >> Yes. >> The management obviously does not want to come back in. >> As things turned out, the statements from both the staff and the customers matched perfectly. further reinforcing her wrongdoing. Sensing the walls closing in, she briefly brought up her personal background in a desperate bid to fish for sympathy from the officers. >> Let me tell you guys something about me. I'm 43 years old. I have managed to escape Ferguson, Missouri, where Mike Brown was murdered. I've also prepared my life in a way where my daughter is a senior at Centennial. My son is a fifth grader at Barnwell. We've been up here in this area for 10 years. >> That's great. If I tell you to touch evidence, it's important. >> If you refuse to, then that's your position. >> If you have the power to investigate and it's not costing you your safety in any way, >> then it is your job >> as hired by taxpayers. >> Mhm. >> You want to put that in your wallet so you don't drop that? >> No, I'm fine. >> So, I am here. >> Ma'am. Mom, just stay on. >> I'm not going anywhere, dudes. Calm down. I am here at Finger Press Home Mexican Restaurant in John's Creek. I am standing here with John's Creek Police >> and this guy >> and these officers. >> Um, I was attacked at this bar after sitting here for an hour and a half. >> Officer hair badge. And as a result of the attack, um, I am attempting to press charges. I had to defend myself in order to make it out safely. >> And now these officers are here. I've asked them to touch my shirt. >> In a final attempt to control the narrative, she went live on social media, doing everything possible to portray herself as the victim to her virtual audience. However, the theatrical stunt only made the situation more chaotic, prompting the police to take swift action and put a definitive end to the show. >> Not seen the beginning of the video. >> Do you understand what I'm saying? >> And it's not it's not the truth. What has happened here is not the truth. >> Okay? >> And what he saw is not the truth. >> And I'm telling you to grab the beginning of the video. >> We will. We will. >> And you're not grabbing the beginning of the video. I have the right to defend myself [laughter] >> in court. Yes, ma'am. >> No, he hit me first. >> Oh, you mean out here? >> Evidently something different. >> It's not true. >> It's not true. >> Do you know that I have managed to get five police officers fired in my career as a result of this poor policing? >> Do you know that? >> Know that. >> Sure. Absolutely. >> I need to go to the hospital. I'm going to the hospital. >> All right, come on. We'll get you checked out. >> Thank you. I am absolutely so in John's Creek at this point. And this is Oscar. Oscar. >> I spreaded them once. >> I spreaded them multiple times. >> My hair is wet. My bob is wet. My shirt is wet. He hit me with a drink. He should be going to jail. >> All right, I'm going to have >> You guys are so racist. >> Ma'am, >> you're racist. You're racist. Can you listen to me for a second? Cuz all I got to finish doing and my previous flawed, imperfect record that is also not true has resulted in you guys making this poor decision. >> It should be noted that the police tried to help her from the start, but she refused and focused on herself instead. When things didn't go her way, she began shouting and insulting others. This likely reflects what the earlier footage showed. >> What is the bias? >> What's your bias? What's your bias to people like that? That's just telling you right there that you didn't watch the beginning. >> You guys never watched the footage. >> You never watched the beginning. >> Officer, >> old school. Thank you. >> Get her out of here. >> All right. >> Hello. Don't touch me. Please don't touch me. >> We're going in here. >> Okay. But do you understand that you do not have the right to touch anything other than your seat belt at this point? >> No, I'm not going in the hospital. >> I'm not going in that hospital. >> No, I have the right to refuse a hospital. >> Do you understand? I have the right to refuse the hospital. >> Ready? >> I'm not going in this hospital. >> Okay, cool. >> I'm not going in there. >> Ready? One. >> I'm not I'm not going to be seen by them. >> All right, cool. Put your saddle on. >> It doesn't matter. I'm not still not getting ready. >> Sir, I refuse service. I refuse service. >> Yes. Daddy, right here with black. >> In the end, the woman was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Refusing to cooperate and escalating conflict in a public setting can quickly turn [music] a dispute into criminal charges, even when a person believes they are defending their rights. Next, this woman landed herself in jail over nothing more than a single hamburger. >> Well, they're saying that you didn't pay yet. Still don't know I did pay. >> We're not doing that. We are not doing that. >> Nope. >> On the 20th of August 2024, police were dispatched to an airport hotel after receiving reports of a woman who had allegedly engaged in fraudulent behavior there. More specifically, she had used a non-existent room number to charge a meal in an attempt to avoid payment. When officers arrived at the scene, hotel staff provided statements detailing the incident. >> Hair like was curly. She had a blue bag. Okay. >> Um had on some capri pants, I think like tan white. Um so basically she just sat me and I've seen her several times before. She usually comes with paper or water or whatever the case may be. Today she had a meal and she wrote um a room number down and since I was familiar with it, they had checked the room number. There's nobody. >> Okay. Is this something? Is this your policy that you checked before serving? >> Well, no. We noticed her from before. Okay. She >> So, this is why you did that. >> Correct. We noticed that she was a frequent visitor of the hotel. She couldn't tell me. Okay. >> So, I did a due diligence check and obviously not. >> So, would you think she's >> I'm assuming so. Like I had an interaction with her maybe 3 months ago and she uh said that she was related to some tycoon billionaire. I think it may be some type of something in mind. >> But she can't just come in the car. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Well, being that she's not here. >> Okay. >> We can check the area for her, but not much we can do right now. >> Um, I guess you can inform your staff just not to surf her next time without >> payment first. You have any cameras where you can get like a >> maybe a picture of her? >> I got a picture of it. >> Yeah. Can you see it? >> Absolutely. >> And maybe post that somewhere where everybody can. >> Yes, sir. Did you guys say anything to her? >> Yes, ma'am. I asked her when she came up here. I said, "Well, man, there's nobody." >> Shortly afterward, officers approached the suspected woman using the photo provided by hotel staff. She appeared completely unaware of what was happening and even seemed surprisingly cheerful as she faced the situation. >> Okay. Are you going to Okay. Do you have your receipt? No. Who said 66? >> That's for today. >> He's up there. >> What's your name? >> Okay. You happen to have ID on you? >> I don't have it. He has my father. I'm supposed to meet him later today. He just got there about a few minutes ago. >> And I'm not ready to go upstairs yet. >> Okay. Yeah. Well, we will never >> Okay. >> Well, they're saying that you didn't pay yet. >> No, no, I did pay. >> He paid my father. >> It's charged, but >> Yeah. You charged it to the room. >> Yeah, >> but there's no one in that room in that room. >> He is in the room. Call the room. >> Okay. So, come on. Come back upstairs with us. >> No, no. Call the room. They've done that already. >> No. No. Call them right now. You have the phone. They've done that. You can be held up there for a build and the bartender said >> not yet. My father's giving it to me. >> So, even more reason to come upstairs. >> For what reason? >> To get your boarding pass. >> From who? >> Your father's upstairs. Remember, >> my father will come downstairs and get me. I don't need you to bring me to my father. >> Okay, ma'am. >> The woman refused to go up to the room she claimed to have, which only made it seem more likely that no such room existed. She even tried to leave to avoid further questioning. >> Folks upstairs. >> There are plenty of folks upstairs. >> I'm not doing this. >> Yes, ma'am. Stay here. Stay here. >> You will not touch me. >> I'm telling you, I will tell you. We're going to go upstairs and pay the bill or we're going to the office. >> I don't have >> cash on me. That's right. My mother is paying. >> Okay. Do you have a card? >> Do I have a card? >> Do you have a card to make the payment? >> I said I do not have any form of payment. >> Okay. But you have eaten at a restaurant >> because David said to me char David is the bartender. >> Okay. >> He said charge your room and if it's not paid I will pay it. >> So David is upstairs where? >> Yes. Yes. He's the bartender. >> Okay. So come upstairs and let's talk to David. >> Okay. >> Let's go. >> Fine. And don't touch me. Is there someone? >> Is there someone you can call to pay? Did you say something? >> Thank you so much, David. I'm going to leave. No, we're not going to leave. Either we're going to pay the bill or you're going to be arrested. I'm telling you. >> It was clear that she had not paid for the bar service through any method. The situation grew increasingly tense as she repeatedly insisted on leaving, forcing officers to warn her. >> The airport. >> Ma'am, you're not leaving. >> Yes, I am. No, you're not. You do not arrest someone for a hamburger. Ma'am, >> you will be arrested for that hamburger. >> For what? >> For not. >> And what is the charge? >> Depth of service. >> And how long is the charge? How can you How long to arrest someone for a hamburger? >> Ma'am, are you going to pay for it tonight? >> I said I want a bill for it. >> Do we have anything? >> There's no one there. Is that all right? >> Cool. Actually, >> can I have the receipt? I want to take I want the bill for It's my bill. >> Can you drop your backpack? >> It's your bill. It's your >> drop the backpack. >> We're not doing that. We are not doing that. >> Nope. Drop your Drop everything. Just let it go. >> Let it go. Let it go. >> Let it go. Those are my things. >> Okay. They'll go right with you. >> With you. They're going with you. You're going to you're going to stay with us for a second. I don't have the extra set with me. >> You do? >> No. I usually bring the extra set, but just relax. Okay. Don't Don't spam on us. You're going to be all right. >> You're attacking me. >> No, ma'am. You're being You're being arrested >> for a hamburger >> for theft of service. >> For theft of hamburger. >> Yes, ma'am. You You purchased something here, right? I >> agreed to pay for you agreed to pay for my father's money. >> Okay. Well, there's no one registered on my right hand. >> It certainly did not seem like the first time the woman had engaged in this kind of behavior. Even after being arrested, she showed no sign of concern and instead continued to display an air of arrogance. >> I want to be kept somewhere safer than this. >> What's that mean? >> I am a god. You hurt me with my arm and you're going to be punished. >> I'm going to hold on to your arm because you're acting erratic and I want you to calm down >> and walk with us. Okay. >> I'm a woman. >> We've explained everything that's happening so far, but >> I'm not erratic. >> You're abusive. >> Uh T. >> Yep. T. Thank you. I'm a lady. I'm a lady. >> Have a seat. >> I'm a lady. >> Even more reason to sit. >> Have a seat. Thank you. A lady sits when she wants to sit, not when she's told to sit for a 3464 hamburger that is paid up. >> The woman was charged with theft of service. Repeated dishonesty and arrogance may delay accountability, but they cannot erase the consequences of fraudulent actions. >> In months, in 6 months, I have never >> There is no need to get that kind of aggressive with me. I'm a 50-year-old. On the 15th of April 2026, police were dispatched to a McDonald's after receiving reports of a disturbance. Upon arriving at the scene, the woman immediately displayed a clearly arrogant attitude. >> Let's step outside. >> Let's step outside. In 6 months, I have never been kicked out of any McDonald's. >> Come on. Let's go outside. >> Let's go outside. Let's go outside. White outside. >> Why are you doing the white man's >> bidding? Let me see your ID. >> No, that is not going to be the first. >> Let me see your ID. >> It was clear that the woman herself was the one making racist remarks. Her behavior became even more unhinged. And it wasn't long before the situation spiraled into chaos. >> ID, you are you are not going to leave right now. >> Okay. You're not going to put your hands on me. You're not going to put your hands on me. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> You're not going to put your hand. >> Stop resisting. I'm not resisting. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. >> I am not resisting. Stop it. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I am not resisting. Stop. Stop. Please stop. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Stop. Stop. Do not >> I don't care. >> Stop. >> I don't care. Let go. She tried to elevate herself by bragging about her background and accomplishments, as if that somehow placed her above being treated this way. Soon after, she even began playing the victim when additional backup officers arrived to assist. >> Help! Stop! Stop! I have done nothing wrong, sir. I've done nothing wrong. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I've done nothing wrong. >> You're going to get tased. Put your hand behind your back. You're going to get tased. >> Stop! Please, sir, stop. You don't need to do this. Why are you doing this? Please don't. >> You have to listen to the >> operation with you. >> I will give you my ID. >> You Well, you failed to give it the first three times I asked. No, that's too late for that. We're not doing that. I asked her three times. >> I need my glasses. >> Half of them right here. >> Why did you ruin my glasses? >> Stand up. Stand up. >> I can't see without my glasses. >> I need my laptop. >> I need to walk. I need my laptop. I need my laptop. Please, please get my laptop. Please get my laptop. Get your stuff. >> Please get my laptop. >> My I didn't do anything wrong. >> Can you open them? >> Relax. >> No, it's so very tight. Please. >> They're not tight. I can fit my I can't Look, there's a whole finger in there. >> No, it's all tight. Get in the car. >> No, it's very tight. Please. My dog. Sir. My dog. What are you going to do with my dog? >> SPCA. I don't know. >> Get in the car. >> Sit down. You're going to jail. >> I don't I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't do I need my backpack. After successfully taking the woman into custody, one of the officers returned to the restaurant to confirm that the decision to have her removed and charged had indeed come from the staff. >> So, you want to press charges? >> Yes. >> Um, she failed to leave as trespassing. She also failed to identify herself. So, just can you just tell me what happened before I got here? >> Yeah, no problem. >> So, I came out the lobby. There was her sitting over there and then another guy that was sitting over there that was uh I guess he was homeless or something like that. >> And then there was a family over here. So I do our rounds every 30 minutes. We have to do our rounds. Let the customers, hey, good morning. Um, you have a 30-minut time frame while consuming food and then, you know, you have to be off the property. 30-minut time frame. >> Mhm. >> She didn't even consume any food. She was just sitting here using the Wi-Fi. And so she was like, "Who are you? The white gatekeeper?" Ma'am, I ma'am, this is not even a confrontational thing right now. I'm just letting you know the rules is 30 minutes. Well, I travel the world and blah blah blah. Okay, well congratulations that you traveled the world. I I don't need to know all that. I just need you to know that there's a 30 minute time frame and that's it. That's all I'm coming here to do. And then that's when she's got a raise. She started calling me names. Ma'am, I don't have time for that. Oh, you hate your mother. Oh, you you need to go get some tea and all this. I'm like, >> what names was she calling you? >> She called me a black and then she called me a black gay dude. Then she said she just kept saying, you know, hateful things, you know, oh, you you you're here to um to control the white people. No, ma'am. She's like, "Oh, you need to be in jail somewhere where all the black people is. You know where they want you." I'm like, "Ma'am, I don't care about all that." >> It became clear that the only person making racist remarks in this situation was the woman herself. Not only that, she seemed to believe she was entitled to special respect, even acting as though she could give orders to the police. >> Ma'am, ma'am, can I get some water, please? I need water. Can I get some water? I need water. I need some water. Please, please, please. >> Hi. >> Hi. I need some water. >> Take a deep breath. Um, >> my my mouth is seriously parched and my dog is in there. >> I'll wait for this. Okay. Um, >> take a deep breath. Relax. My name's Sir. Okay. Um, I obviously got called out cuz there was some force used against you. So, um, I need to make sure you're not hurt. Okay. part >> right now. You're just you're just thirsty or what hurts? >> No, they they put these super tight on here. He broke my glasses. He threw me to the ground. >> All right. >> I have never been kicked out of a McDonald's and I've traveled this country 6 months. I'm a journalist. I'm not a nobody. I lived in Florida for 25 years. I have two sons at the University of Florida. I am not a homeless person. I am not somebody to be pushed around. I have a master's degree. I'm educated. I'm [laughter] This is I don't know why you're doing this to me. >> Why? I don't do I just got here. So, I'm just making sure everything is >> These are super tight and they're really constricting. >> All right. Well, I guess the issue was >> Why did he have to throw me down and break my glasses? Is my phone also broken? >> I don't know. I'll look into all that. I have to review everything. We have body cameras on throughout the entire counter. So, everything that happened, we'll see. >> He broke my glasses. There is no need to get that kind of aggressive with me. I'm a 50-year-old woman. I'm 53. I'm not dangerous. I don't own firearms. I was a victim of domestic violence in this state. My ex-husband spent 6 months in the Sarasota County jail for smashing his >> The woman was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, criminal trespassing, and battery on a law enforcement officer. Demanding respect while refusing to respect others, follow rules, or comply with lawful orders only turned a simple removal into multiple criminal charges. This woman wasn't a shoplifter. Yet, she still caused chaos wherever she went. >> I will assault me >> after you punch me, dumb ass. >> Go to jail. Please let me on a warning. >> On the 27th of December, 2025, officers were dispatched to a taco shop after reports of a woman causing a disturbance. When they arrived, the chaos was still unfolding, prompting officers to step in and stop the situation immediately. >> Don't get me >> after you punch me, dumb ass. >> [ __ ] wrong with you. >> Hit me first. Why aren't you getting him? >> Stop. >> Why aren't you getting him? He [ __ ] punched me. >> I him. I'm not. Please don't arrest me. I didn't I didn't punch him. Officer, >> you're about to get put on the ground. You're about to get put on the ground. >> You're hurting yourself. >> I can I not get put on the ground. Please don't handcuffs on me. Please don't handcuff on me. Please don't handcuff on me. >> Stop grandma first. Grandma, >> we're going to stop. Back up. >> Back up. 25 ft. >> Search on Instagram. >> I didn't do [ __ ] to him. >> I was going to the bathroom and you opened the door. Your pants is not down. Stop laughing. >> We have cameras. We have cameras. >> Okay. >> My pants were down. >> My pants were Why are you taking me a handcuff? >> Clearly, handcuffing the woman was necessary to bring the situation under control as her behavior had become completely unruly. If she were truly the victim, there were far calmer ways to handle the dispute. Even afterward, she continued causing a scene, ensuring the disturbance on the street was far from over. >> Why are you me in handcuffs? I haven't done anything. >> Hey, y'all need >> Yes. Yes, we do. >> Why are you picking me in handcuffs? Please don't take me. Please don't take me. Stop. >> Stop. Officer, please >> don't grab on me. >> Why are you sticking me in? I haven't done anything. My pants were down in the bathroom. My pants were [ __ ] down in the bathroom and he opened the door. >> He told you to leave. >> And my pants were down in the bathroom, though. Why are you pranking me? >> No, I don't see anything. But >> why are you in the caring me? Don't take me. >> Don't take me. My pants were down in the bathroom and he was taking me. Why is this happening? >> I can't go to jail. Please don't take me. I haven't done anything to him. He was grabbing me while my hand Well, my pants were down. >> I can't go to jail. Why would you put handcuffs on me? >> Stay in the car. >> Stop. I can't go to jail. Why would you put handcuffs on me? >> Cuz we're not going to tell you again. So, sit in the car. >> I haven't done anything. Where's my purse? After successfully detaining the woman, the officers returned to the taco shop to hear the employees side of the story and determine what had actually happened. >> What happened? >> For one, it's for paying customers. I tell them before they even come all the way through the door. >> Then both of them both the door. >> Soon as they close, I open it right up. Not even 5 seconds pass. >> Now I'm standing there telling them to leave at this point. I don't care about pan or none of that. They try to leave. She's sitting there arguing about 30 seconds to a minute. Then she hit me. After she hit me, I hit her back. >> She hit you how? >> She hit me right in my face. >> Punch you? >> Yes. >> Close fist? >> Close fist. She hit me right in my face and I punched her back as a reflex with self-defense. I I wiped it off. She hit me all across my face. >> How many times? >> She hit me like four or five times. Every time she engaged me, I swung back cuz I stood right there. I didn't move. I didn't approach her. Every time she came to me, I swung back and I did nothing wrong. He got a bucket with >> you right here. >> He respected. Told her to leave. She started. He did nothing wrong. >> He did not. >> Yeah, she hit me. After she hit me, that was self-defense. >> It became clear that the woman had assaulted the store employee to the point where he was forced to defend himself. Yet even then, she continued portraying herself as the victim and stuck to her version of the story. >> Anything happening today besides you going to jail? >> No. Please, can we get something working? I was My pants were down in the bathroom. I couldn't do anything but come out. >> I tried to lift my pants. Can you Can you Can you be quiet for just a second so I can explain my pants? Can we get out of the bathroom and leave? We're past that point. We're past that point. Okay. You are going to jail though. >> So listen to jail. I can't go to jail. Please let me offer a warning. I'll do anything. I'll do anything. I can't go to jail. I literally >> It's happening regardless, but I'm I'm trying to help you. >> I'll lose my job. >> Please don't do this. >> You're going regardless. >> Please don't do this to me. >> You're going regardless. I'm trying to make this so you can get in and out faster. Right. >> Please let me go with the warning. >> Please just take these hairs off. I haven't done anything. >> You have to go. I'm being safe. It was just I needed really to use the bathroom. >> Listen, listen. So, the easiest the easiest fastest way for you to get booked through and process you can bail out and get free tonight, right? Is to cooperate, right? And be chill. If if you if you act out like you are right now, if you act out like you are right now, you're going to end up getting put in a cell for a whole 24 hours. So, you got to be chill cuz otherwise when you're when you're chill, we take you. Listen, I understand. The officer's attempts to calm her down proved ineffective against the woman's stubbornness. Rather than making the situation easier, she continued escalating it, forcing the officers to issue a warning. >> Like I told you, you got to stay calm or else it's going to be a problem for you when you get to the barrel. So, you have you have to be like this, okay? I'm trying to make it so you can get your body fast and get out. But if you act out, they're going to put you in that cell and you're going to be there for 24 hours or more. >> Okay? So, you got to stay calm. >> All right? Once we get there, I'll probably >> I don't want to be processed into a jail. >> Her should just take the car instead of the whole van. >> I haven't He hit me. Look at my lips. >> Okay. [laughter] >> He hit me. I haven't hit him. I'm going to document that. >> I haven't hit him when he hit me. >> Much different. >> Help me. >> It's all going to be documented. Don't worry. >> But I'm going to jail. I can't go to jail right now. I haven't done anything. >> Finally, the woman was charged with battery and resisting arrest. Refusing to take responsibility and escalating a situation only made the consequences far worse than the original conflict. Next, this new nurse lost her job after six shoplifting incidents were uncovered. >> They've been watching you on the camera the whole time and you don't >> I just understand I'm a nurse. I'm super my kids died and that's why I came here. On the 24th of January 2024, police approached a woman suspected of shoplifting at a local retail store. She was fully prepared to lie and deny everything she had done. But little did she know, the officers were already one step ahead, completely shutting down her chance to play the innocent victim. Here's what happened. >> Good. You can keep going. Yeah, >> you're good. You can keep going, sir. >> Watching you on the camera the whole time. Yeah, >> we we know where we're at here. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, we're going to single in here. All right. >> Stand over here. >> No, we're just going to detain you. All right. Okay. Yeah, hanging out there. Did I give that to him? That was in there, too. >> No, no, sorry. >> Sorry. Your receipt is in the bag. >> Even after confessing to the crime, her demeanor was shockingly cheerful, acting as if getting caught stealing was just a minor inconvenience. She quickly shifted gears into begging for a break, showing absolutely zero embarrassment or shame for what she had just done. >> The thing is, I just got my job. I just heard a way that I was a nurse and like if it shows up on the board of nursing, then I'm going to lose my license. And I just bought my house. >> I get I get what you're saying, man. But there's really nothing there's nothing we could do about it. >> Hey, stay right just stay back here, man. I just wanted to know the total. >> You guys You guys are good. You can come down. >> Can I Can I say something to you, please? >> Sure. >> I just I know it's your thing. I I'm winning. Everything is Sir, I just just left my house. I have kids. I just started in school and I don't >> This the first time this ever happened to you? >> Yeah. And I know once once once they do this, I'm going to lose my life. >> Well, here's the thing. They have you on several different accounts doing this at this store and the Serville store. So this isn't your first time doing >> No, no. The first time I got caught. I'm not going to lie. >> But if you give me a warning, I promise you something. >> She tried to portray herself as a nurse, as if that alone made her an honorable person and even used her responsibilities as a mother to appeal for sympathy. It could be said that she was highly skilled at manipulating emotions, but these nononsense cops weren't buying it and her theatrical performance proved completely feudal. I'm a single parent. My my kids died and that's why I came here and I started doing this and I promise I was not a thought. Once I get my license and start working enough money, I just got this job. >> Here's the deal. Either if we charge you, they're going to charge you either way. Either way, you're going to get shopping. >> Yeah, but the thing is I just don't want to go. >> Either way, it's going to go in the system and then I don't want to keep the thing if you have a hot, right? People want to stop. I just don't want to do like I'm tell you one thing. I don't want to teach. That's why I go to school. I just just started out. >> That's why I go to school to better myself so I can take care of myself. >> I get it that it's tough. Even stealing is not >> No, I know. But the only thing I took is like meats and stuff like that. >> Yeah, but all that adds up. You said this isn't your first time and today was $142. So, you know, you do take $142 a few times, we're up to already $500, you know. As things turned out, this wasn't just a one-time mistake. With a total of six separate shoplifting incidents uncovered by police, her Saabb story carried absolutely no weight. Even then, she showed no genuine remorse for her actions. Instead, her only real concern was how this arrest was going to affect her job. nurse recover. >> If we let everybody go that just started school or just started pumping arrest. >> Yeah. So, are you going to lose my job? >> Nobody's going to lose your job for this. You know, >> it's a disorderly person. It's not an indictable, >> huh? No, but the thing is, even though have a seat, >> all right. In the end, the woman was charged with felony theft. Repeated dishonesty eventually removes credibility entirely. When someone continues to offend and then tries to rely on sympathy, excuses, or personal image to avoid responsibility, those tactics lose all impact. In the end, actions define consequences more than words. And self-interest cannot replace accountability. Even worse, the woman tried to play the victim in front of the police. >> I don't have nothing out of there. Whatever my boyfriend just had it. This right here, this is the only thing that beat. So you just going to bust my lip? So you going to bust my lip? So you busting my lip. Go. You busting my lip. You busting my lips. >> On the 28th of March 2021, police received a call from a CVS store reporting a disturbance involving an intoxicated couple who had been yelling outside the business. But when officers arrived and made contact with them, they quickly discovered there was far more going on. >> Hey guys, what's going on? >> That man's got none of his [ __ ] You better not baby say [ __ ] to me. >> What's going on? >> Nothing. I just came here to buy my stuff and I asked her what the stuff was and she told me she didn't know. So, I was going to get back in the car. >> Okay. >> I don't know, babe. You um What happened? >> Are you guys okay to drive? >> Oh, I'm I was drunk. I'm drunk. But I'm I'm drunk enough to drive though. >> No. >> Well, I got my cousin coming to pick me up though. I can wait for my cousin to come pick me up. >> Yeah, that's fine. But you can't drive. >> I'm going to wait for my cousin come pick me up then. Baby, you can draw whatever police. That's why we trying to tell people. >> Sir, have you been drinking, too? >> Can you drive? >> The anti- theft alarm sounded, signaling that the woman had taken merchandise without paying for it. She didn't hesitate to admit it moments later, acting as though there was nothing wrong. >> I don't have nothing out of there. Whatever my boyfriend is having, this right here, >> this is the only thing that beat. She can have this back. Yeah, you can have this, ma'am. >> All right. Here. Here. Don't Don't me. Okay. But this is my bag, sir. This is my bag. Listen. This is my bag. I gave her this. >> 16. Step it up. >> Excuse me, sir. I gave her this. >> Sir, this is the only thing I gave her that my bag is not is not hers. >> Okay. I'm just going to figure that out. >> Okay. But why? >> She's going to secure you until that happens. >> But why are you trying to handcuff me? >> You are not under arrest. >> Okay, but what are you handcuffing me for? I I don't steal. I'm not stealing. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> But what are you handcuffing me for? I don't I don't I'm not stealing. I'm giving her the nails back. >> Stop fighting. I'm giving her the her nails back. Hey, baby, stop being so hostile with me. >> Okay. Well, stop fighting and put your hands. >> I ain't killing I'm giving her her her nails back. >> Okay. Okay. Sir, can you still appreciate it? I'm just securing. >> Okay. Okay. I'm just giving her her nails back. They're going to nail. I had them up under my arms. You see, I didn't want them. >> Drop this stuff. Okay. >> Okay. Get it. Okay. Stop grabbing my arms like that. What you grabbing my hands for? >> Because you're tensing up and >> I'm not tensing up. Don't grab my hand. Everything she did only reinforced how unstable and erratic she appeared. But the situation was far from over. And even after she was placed in the patrol car, the chaos showed no signs of slowing down. >> Why do I have to sit in the car? I don't have to sit in no car. Okay, I can stand by the car. I don't have to sit in no car. >> Sit in the car. >> I don't have to sit in the car. >> So you just going to bust my lip? So you going to bust my lip? >> So you busting my lip. Go. You busting my lip. You busting my lip. >> Sit in the car. You bust my lip. I ain't do to you. >> All right. >> Can I talk to you? >> Can I talk to you for >> 17? You 18. Slow down. I got one in the car. All right. >> Yes, sir. >> Thank you for being calm. >> Yes, sir. >> What's going on? >> Yes, sir. You came in the store. Look for some nails. >> She had the nails up on her arm. She must forgot cuz she drunk. >> Okay. So, I'm saying she had you. >> Okay. >> Do you have any of their merchandise? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. I got one female in the car screaming. Okay. It's a mess. All right. Is this your car? >> Yes, ma'am. >> That's her car? >> Do you have a valid license? >> Yes, I do. >> Are you able to drive? >> Yes, sir. >> Have you been drinking, too? >> I'm drinking. >> Okay. I'm going to have you hang out here until I figure out what else is going on. Okay. >> The man seemed eager to stay out of trouble, but he knew what the woman had done and did nothing to stop her. He even hid the bag of stolen merchandise, forcing officers to find it themselves. >> Why'd you go and put her bag in the car? >> She asked me to do it for us. >> Okay. >> Step back. Step back. I appreciate >> it. That's her bag. >> Which one? >> Yep. Right there. >> No, right there. Yep. >> You step over there for me side. >> All right, man. Can we go through this real quick and see what's yours and what's >> Just tell me what's yours. All this is yours. >> I'm not I don't want to tell. >> This yours? Yeah, >> this is yours. >> Yes. >> All the over top. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Is this yours? >> It's half done. Is that >> It's unlikely hers. >> Oh, no. Never mind. I It's not white. So, yeah, I guess it is. Do you >> have gloves? No. >> Could you go through the rest of that? Yes, please. Hey, so I need to get a little bit of information from you to figure out what's going on. Okay. >> Am I going to jail? >> What's I I I'll I'll explain everything to you in a minute. What's your first name? >> But am I going to jail? >> Okay, I'll explain everything in a minute. And I'll only explain that to you after you give me the information I need. >> Who am I though? >> I need your information first. >> D E A S H A But I going to jail because I didn't do anything. >> Hang on. D E A S H A is your first name. S O N. Okay. >> Am I going to jail? >> What's your middle name? >> Diamond. >> Diamond. What's your last name? >> Am I going to jail? >> The woman sounded much calmer by this point, but she still refused to acknowledge her wrongdoing, shamelessly portraying herself as the victim instead. >> Then you shouldn't have pulled away from me. You shouldn't have fought me. You have to be part of the story. They think I be anyone. I promise. I just can't. I got my 5year-old daughter at home. I got a 5year-old daughter at home right now. She ain't going to go without me. I need my baby. I really need my daughter, bro. >> You should make better choices then. >> Okay. Oh my god. I didn't mean to resist. I promise. [singing] I ain't know that I'm resisting. I promise. >> You listening? I know. >> Hello. >> What? >> Can you please listen to me? >> I've already been listening. You're going to jail. >> But what? >> Resisting with violence. >> Okay. >> Can you please have a man I was with and I resist violence, bro? >> It's not up to him. It's up to me. >> I did it. Okay. I did revenge violence, bro. I did it. I just was trying to get home to my fire daughter. I got a fire right there at my friend house and we wasn't even supposed to be on this side. I got to go home. >> The woman was charged with resisting an officer with violence, a felony. Taking responsibility for your actions is always better than resisting and making excuses. Refusing to accept accountability can turn a minor offense into far more serious consequences. Next, these two men took the situation far beyond a simple shoplifting case. [ __ ] >> On the 27th of April 2024, police were dispatched to Walmart after receiving reports of a theft committed by a man. More seriously, he was also believed to be carrying a firearm. Immediately after police arrived at the scene, a tense pursuit took place. >> He went somewhere this way. >> Watch out. Watch out. Watch out. Hey, police department. Let me see your hands. Don'ting move. Police department. Don't Don't move. >> He's running. >> Hey, stop right. I'm going to shoot you. >> Put your hand on your head. Don'ting move. >> If you move, you're going to get shot. >> You're being detained. Tell me the truth right now. >> Clearly, if he had cooperated, the situation would have been much easier for both the police and himself. But failing to realize that, the man continued to show frustration at being searched in front of many people. >> I love my son over there by his [ __ ] self. >> Where's your kid? >> This is your fault, dude. >> I was getting [ __ ] for school. >> You're getting a gun cleaner for a school? >> No, I got gun cleaner. So just be quiet like a man. >> What you guys do anyways to everybody else me already. >> The man was identified as 27 years old J Lewis. [music] He was old enough to understand his actions. But at that moment he was crying and acting pitiful. >> Is your son actually here or you bsing us? >> I'm not pushing you. >> So where is he? >> He's not inside. Oh, he's out of the car. >> What car are you in? >> He's not by himself, but he's with my He's with my home bro. What car? >> Well, what car is it? >> You want us to check on your son or not? >> Yeah, that's why I want to see him like I want him to see me like that. >> Well, maybe we can make that happen if you're relaxed. Should check his waistband. >> I don't have no weapons, dude. >> The man was charged with shoplifting, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful carrying of a firearm. Non-ooperation and carrying a firearm during a suspected crime only escalated the situation and led to more severe legal consequences. Next, the shoplifter even stole the horsedrawn buggy itself without showing any shame. >> Huh? >> I said, "What are you going to do this time?" >> Come on. Come on. Gig's up. >> If you guys watched the video, you should you could have seen how horrible it was. >> Well, it took off pretty quick. >> On the 20th of January 2024, police received a report of a theft. An Amish couple had their horsedrawn buggy stolen while shopping at Walmart. To reassure the victims, officers quickly arrived at the scene and explained who the suspect was believed to be. >> Are you guys from Indiana accidents? Cuz this is a horse, an unexperienced driver won't be able to handle. >> I can't even drive him. >> Not yet. No, nothing. We have a guy in calls anyway. >> But you think you know who? >> Yeah. He said he gave me a description. And I said, "So earlier I had a call. We dealt with a female in here who was stealing in Walmart. So we have body cameras, right? And you can kind of watch it on our computers in there." So I said, "Hey, does it look like this girl?" He's like, "Uh, yep." >> Uh-uh. It fit. It fit. >> And she's she's homeless, on drugs, and is a car thief. Now, >> how could you drive a buggy? >> And another thing is she probably has the blanket still on, so that'll stick out. You don't drive a horse down the road with a blanket on. >> Yeah. >> And I'm serious. This horse in traffic, she won't be able. >> Do you guys live in Indiana or Michigan? >> Just in. >> So, would your horse know the way back home by itself? >> He might. She might. >> Going down. We go down here river. >> He's very used to drive that way. Okay. Well, cuz I'm saying cuz I know sometimes the horses will go back to home on their own. >> I don't know if she will cuz she gets so fired up in traffic. >> Let's say she went out here and she would have come left with traffic. She would be in the lines >> like he wraps his >> Where's Where's the tie up for your boogies here? Uh >> over here. >> So, did we have Do we see any tracks? >> Yes. Well, just But you >> there were other There was here she I seen her go to the stop sign and that's it. You can I mean I know it's not somebody losing her because well he's seen it anyway because I >> tied them twice then there's a loop that I tie them so I able to slide it down. >> In the suspect's mind when comparing different vehicles the horsedrawn buggy appeared to be the easiest to steal since it required no key at all. On the same day police also recovered the buggy but the woman's whereabouts remained unknown. Oh, do you the air pump you guys have over there? It looks like they walked around your building and right up to the air pump and then that way. Would a camera catch that corner at all? >> Maybe. But >> I'm not I wouldn't be able to get you into the cameras anyway, but I can show you where the angles are at. >> Yeah, cuz right at your air pump, they ended up going up to it and then turning along that fence line. So, they didn't stick back there. They actually walked along the side and then that way. Obviously, they were smart enough to avoid your front cameras. So, >> yeah, they're it's my brother-in-law's horse. I'm just >> I heard they on the way, I heard. So, >> I just came over here to tie him up real quick. Well, we were all over town searching for him. >> Yeah, we were too. And we I happened to just pass that motel. When I turned around, I'm on the phone with the sergeant. He's describing what the horse looks like. He's like, "He's got like a blue or gray coat with white." I was like, I'm looking at one right now in the parking lot. So, >> so I walked up and saw the plate start with 11. Yeah. It's been hit the whole time. That's what I was told. I was about to walk up cuz I was checking to make sure they weren't still in there. And I was like, I don't know if I can pet this horse or not. Like if it's going to calm down if I walk up to it, it's going to freak out and run away. >> Our buggy got stolen and we don't have anywhere to go. >> Came pretty quick >> cuz I was like, well, I said, worst case scenario, if your brother can't help you out, it's like, I will drive you back to Ship Shuana. >> Yeah. >> Immediately after the police had returned the vehicle to its rightful owner, they used the information previously provided by Walmart to be able to locate the woman. It appeared that she had anticipated their arrival and deliberately evaded them. >> Uh, well, how about the energy? Good officer back there. >> Where did it come from? >> It's okay if I get her. >> Did you do this to me? >> No. I think you did this to me. You woke me up. Is he going to kill me? >> Yes. If I'm not around, >> where'd she go? >> There's an officer back there then. >> Seriously, Lana, get up. >> Huh? >> I said, "What are you going to do this time?" >> Come on. Come on. Gig's up. >> Hold up. Okay, this time I'm sorry. >> You know what you did? >> No, I really didn't. >> We have you on video. >> For what? >> You know what you did. >> How do you think you got here from Walmart? >> You want to see my shoes? My feet? >> No. No. >> For real. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. Look. >> I just fine. >> Okay. Can I get my shoes on? >> Yeah, we'll get some shoes. >> Okay. Thank you. >> She pretended to be innocent as if she had done nothing after attempting to hide behind the house. It seemed she had prepared a false story for the incident. >> Hey, how'd you get here? To be honest, I went and stood. Well, I went over. >> Just remember, there's video cameras all over Admiral. There's all over Walmart. >> So, what happened? Be truth. Don't Don't be a lying. >> I'm walked over to Dollar Tree cuz my phones were dead. I used the manager's phone, called for a ride, stayed outside for maybe half hour, went in, didn't come. Didn't come. So, I asked for another ride >> and [ __ ] they said to walk in. I'm not in town. So, I went through the uh Wild Bills and lived in their dumpster and then I went >> all the way up to the bank and then [ __ ] I went over the I walked half way through uh Meyers and then I walked back all this way. >> Mhm. >> I went and stood out by the semis cuz I seen someone. >> And then >> I sat there and continued and continued. Then I sat down by a horse and buggy, waited what seemed like forever >> Mhm. >> for them to come out. And then nobody. So I went over to uh the country earth which was used to be nights in I think. >> Yeah. >> Sat there, waited and waited and then my girlfriend uh Stephanie Contrad came home, got a ride for her. After I waited and she had to go to Dollar General, then she did that ATM and then she dropped me off over here. Clearly, none of her story was supported by any evidence while the police had already gathered solid proof to confront her at this point. >> Now, I want you to back up a little bit to Walmart in the buggy. Do you not recall the part I said there's cameras there? >> There's cameras here. The admiral and there's cameras here >> that we already watched >> that we watched already. So, do you want do you want to tell your the true story of how you got here? >> Okay. I say I knocked on the buggy cuz both sides and then what happened? >> Got you on video. If you want to be honest, fine. If not, we'll go off video. Roger. >> What? >> Roger. >> What? >> You did it this time. >> What? I did it this time. >> What did you do? >> Uh, my car is up here. >> I got call. It was about 3:00 when we we talked to a Walmart earlier when they thought you were stealing. Okay. And we trespassed you. So, you left and walked towards Myers, correct? >> Yeah. I went to Dollar Tree. >> In the Dollar Tree. Okay. And then where'd you go after that? I went to look I went through behind Wild Bills or what used to be Wild Bills. >> Yeah, it's a marijuana shop now. The >> dudes. I went and hit up those dumpsters which I usually do cuz you never know. We do quite find at least decent [ __ ] sometimes. But anyway, and then [ __ ] I went over to Meyers, walked halfway through the parking lot. I said it's way too cold. >> Yeah. walked back. Uh, and then I walked over by there and sat and waited for well I stood and waited for a while >> and then and I knocked because I didn't know it sound like somebody was inside. So I knocked on one side >> of of what? >> The buggy. >> The buggy. Okay. >> So she eventually admitted being involved with the horse and buggy despite previously trying to avoid that fact. As a result, her expression of regret became even less convincing. >> I can have somebody follow me or take me up there and so that way I can like to cuz I felt like I'm going to lie. I did time and just thinking like really what are you doing >> after you took the boogie? >> Yes. Like instant regret. >> Have you ever taken any equestrian classes or anything? >> What? like classes of how to like ride horses or anything like that? >> I >> How did you How'd you know how to drive the horse? >> I didn't. >> Are you kidding me? >> No, I did. Serious. >> Did you say anything to the horse? >> Like they had a window. I I didn't If you guys watched the video, you should you could have seen how horrible it was. >> Well, it took off pretty quick. >> No, not really. >> No, it looked quick on the camera. So, how'd you get to turn? You just pull it to the right when you want to go right and >> I >> You mean you got it to Admiral? How' you How' you How'd you steer it? >> Horrible. Like I even had Well, obviously cars go past horse and buggies, but there's a guy I want to say on Monroe goes this way, right? >> Monroe. >> Yeah. Monroe goes this way, right? >> Goes north and south. >> Yes. >> Congress. Yeah. >> And then so his mechanic >> mechanic. Yeah. >> I just got past Monroe and some guy was outside like he's watching at this point. He's just talking to me and he that's how slow I was going down the street. >> I gotcha. >> And I'm like, "Huh?" He goes, "Your rope's hanging down." I'm like, "Oh, okay." And then finally got it to stop after realizing they have a brake pedal, which I don't know. >> They have a brake pedal. >> Yeah, but I didn't. >> So, did you just pull them to the right or left when you wanted to turn? >> I don't know. I don't have it figured out. which I'm kind of glad I >> In the end, the woman was charged with grand lararseny and lararseny of livestock. Attempting to deny clear evidence only made her situation worse. Once the facts are established, dishonesty does not change the outcome and usually leads to greater consequences. >> Register. Um, and once she has it all out, she fans it all out and then you can see the left side, which be the larger bills are cuz she was setting it up that way. >> Would there be any reason why you would roll up money? No. >> Okay. On the 1st of August 2023, police were dispatched to Target after receiving a report of a fraud incident. What was astonishing was that the act had been carried out by their own employee. The store manager had already conducted certain investigations into the case. >> How were you aware made aware of this? >> So, I'm made aware of this. Every time a team member opens their register drawer, um, it flags in the system if it's not for sale. >> Um, and as well as I review the closing caches have been closing. I review all of our closing cash operations regularly. Um, while I was reviewing, we were missing a cash bag, an entire bag. Um, and we were trying to find out where it went. So, I'm like, "All right, I'm just going to start reviewing the video." On the and on the 20th, I found that both bags were put there, but then number go over to another register that register and get the cash. I'll show you that initial video, but this is the one I clicked on first. What was even more shocking was that the woman was believed to have carried out her actions from her very first days on the job. In fact, there were recorded video clips that were considered evidence of her wrongdoing. >> So, we're looking at ones, fives, tens, 20s, 50s, and hundreds or in the last right. It's a a little bit more video cuz I got the whole process, but >> So, you combine the 50s and hundreds in the far right. Mhm. Is >> that how every register is supposed to be? >> That's standard. Yeah. So, what she does is she takes all of the money out of the register. Um, and once she has it all out, she fans it all out and then you can see the left side, which would be the larger bills are cuz she's setting it up that way. She'll take multiple what looks like on the low end to be three. >> Okay. >> So, we went with three. Now, is this common for a cashier to sit here and pull all the money out at the cash register and count it and then >> typically they should just take it all out, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, and put it in one of those bags. >> So, they're not usually counting it at the register. >> They don't count at the register. We have a cash office in the machine that counts it. >> Okay. >> So, smaller bills on top, bigger bills on the bottom >> in the order that she pulled it off from. With the manager's extensive experience, every detail of her scheme was gradually uncovered one by one. At that point, there should have been no room left for denial when the police approached her. Yet, she seemed to feel no shame at all. >> So, I am taking the money from the day out and putting new money for the next day. >> Okay. And when you take the money out, do you count it or anything like that? So, you just >> So, how would you take it out of the drawer? Just take it out, put in the red or green bag, and then put the next bag into the >> Okay. So, you basically just go from each money slot, pull it out, place it in a bag, don't look at it or anything, >> right? >> I fix it up if I need to prove it. >> So, if it's out of order or something, you'll you'll fix it up. Okay. >> Would there be any reason why you would roll up money? >> No. >> Okay. So, you wouldn't roll it in to any kind of like money roller and then put a rubber band over it or anything? No. >> Yeah. So, when I was watching the video footage, it's pretty clear that it was that it's what you were doing is rolling it into a money roll, placing a rubber band over it, and then placing it on top of the desk. Why would you be doing that? >> You didn't do that. Okay. So, why would the video footage show you doing that? [music] You see where I'm at here, right? I'm watching a video footage that's unedited from the department store who has no reason to accuse you of this. >> I don't know if it's unedited, but I have never done anything like that. >> Okay. >> So, she still brazenly denied her actions, but with the available evidence and witness statements, the police were able to make their decision. >> So, Mr. Janine, based off the video evidence and uh the statements made by your co-workers, I'm going to be taking you to [music] jail tonight. Is there anything on your person that might poke or stick me? No. >> Okay. Can you stand up for me, please? >> What is going to happen with my items? >> Uh, they're going to go with you to jail. Okay. Can you take this jacket off? Okay. Thank you. >> And when do I get to speak to a lawyer? >> Um, that will be after processing. So once you get crossed into the jail, processed into the jail, then you'll have an opportunity to call whoever you'd like. So your jacket >> that's their >> This is >> No, the jacket. >> Oh, that's okay. The jacket's yours. >> Yeah. >> Chris, do you mind grabbing that? >> Yeah, that's right. >> Is there no other pleasant way to do this? Like walking out of a store? >> Unfortunately, no. cuz uh once you're in our custody, we have to place you in handcuffs in case you try to run away. We've had people run away and crack their head. So, it's a liability thing. So, we have to detain you like this, unfortunately. >> And you guys are walking out of side doors, I'm assuming. >> If there is a side door available, yeah, you can do that. Why not? >> Finally, the woman was charged with grand theft. Modern surveillance systems and internal audits make concealment nearly impossible. Once evidence and witness testimony align, denial becomes meaningless and accountability is unavoidable. What do you think about cases like this? Share your thoughts in the comments and don't forget to like and subscribe so you won't miss the next video. >> But the item never gets put back in now in a moment. >> Then she hang up in my face and went and blocked me on everything she told me. She was like, "I don't know what you talking about. I don't even know who you is." Da da da. On the 7th of March 2023, officers were dispatched to the JW Marriott after a theft was reported. A bracelet valued at $1,300 was reported missing after a woman had been allowed to try it on. More specifically, the store manager reviewed the surveillance footage showing exactly how the incident unfolded. >> Theft you're going to see this is the associate here. Here's the suspect defender. She comes up, she opens the cabinet. associate will facilitate dawning the item and then she never takes it off. Th this associate is just I guess not very bright in her duties and facilitating her duties, but she gets distracted. and she gets on her phone, she talks. There's some engagement with these two individuals, but the item never gets put back in. Now, in a moment, she'll dawn and daff a a necklace that she puts back, but the bracelet never gets put back. And then she leaves with the cabinet still open. Now, you know, again, not very bright on this retail employee here. I mean, it's clearly not, but she put the item on, can see, and never return the item. >> As a result, the incident was suspected to be a coordinated theft that may have involved someone from inside the store. Police used the images provided by the business to locate and identify the woman. Within a few weeks, she voluntarily surrendered herself to the police. This >> Good morning. How we? So, we spoke on the phone. We um you know what this is about the bracelet. >> Correct. >> Um Okay. Um do you have you said you going to bring the bracelet with you? >> Yeah, I got a bracelet with me. >> You just sit it sit it right there on that paperwork. Okay. Um as you know, you're going to have to be arrested for this. >> Okay. Um >> I I understand I'm going have to be arrested. M was just I don't want like to be arrested for theft cuz I didn't steal. I get that I have to take accountability for you know taking the bracelet after she she put it on her arm. You know what I mean? >> And and that's and that's just I mean that's what the charge is is is death by shoplifting. So I mean that's just by the code section by the the law. That's that's what it what happened is defined as that. That that's what it because it's from a business. it it's shoplifting instead of, you know, ordinary theft or whatever. So, with all that being said, I have to if I if I want to ask you anything about specifically about the incident, I have to read your constitutional rights. Okay. >> The suspect denied intentionally stealing the bracelet. She claimed the employee had placed it on her wrist and explained why she left without paying for it. She also provided her account of the employees involvement in the incident. >> We had dinner. We supposed to have dinner at 7:30 at Phillips. We walk in. I didn't even know she worked there. No, none of that. I just walked in. We start walking around looking around like the little dinosaur that was in the air. All of that. And then when she spotted me, she was like, "Hey, cousin." So, I was like, "Hey, girl." She gave me a hug. I got video of that where she gave me a hug. And all of that. And then all of a sudden, she was like, "Well, come on. Let me show." She was like, "Let me show you something." I was like, "Okay, come on." We went in there. I told her it was my birthday. She's like, "Yeah, I saw it. It was on your post." So, she was like, and I was like, "Um, okay then." You know, we were standing there and I was like, "Well, these rooms is nice." I was like, "Boy, I probably need me a discount cuz you know I told I need a discount." And she's like, "Come on, I got you. I got you. I got you." But at that time, we was talking about the rooms because she was telling me the rooms the hotel rooms. >> Yeah. Cuz she was telling me the rooms are $600 a night. And she's like, "I got you." >> Christ. >> I'm kidding. I She was like, "It was $600 a night." For real. I got it all in. Like, >> no, I don't doubt it. I just >> Yeah. She said it was $600 a night. And I was like, "Well, I'm probably going to get a discount." She's like, "I got you. I got you." So, she was like, "Yeah, I saw your your post on Facebook. It's your birthday." She's like, "Come on. It is not not one time that I even ever even thought about walking in that store. Like that's not what my intention was even trying to even go in because that I had my nieces. That's not I wasn't going to look at no jewelry or nothing. But when she saw me, you know, then she saw my husband. She was like, "Hey, cousin." You know, that's we walk in there. We walk in the we walk in the store. She took the bracelet down. She took it when she took it off the thing. She was like, "Here, try this on." She actually put it on my arm. She put it on my arm. She only insisted that she had not been the one who put the bracelet on her wrist, but she provided no explanation for why she left with it. She then went on to describe how she discovered that she was being sought by police. >> Somebody saw it on the news and they sent it to me. >> And then she had text me on Messenger. She said, "Hey cousin, I need to talk to you. My job is in jeopardy." >> So by that time, it didn't dawn on me or nothing. So that that Wednesday, I texted, "Hey cousin, what's up?" That's what I said. She never replied, no none of that. When I got the picture of me being on the news, that's when I called her and I was like, "Hey, what's going on? Why my face on the news?" And she was like, "I don't know why your face on I" I was like, "My face on the news for that bracelet you put on my arm." Da da da. She was like, "Um, I ain't put no bracelet on your arm." And then she hang up in my face and went and blocked me on everything. She told me, she was like, "I don't know what you talking about. I don't even know who you is." Da da da. She was like, "I ain't never put nothing on y'all." She just denied everything. Yeah. And so I had my staff right there cuz I had on speaker phone and they was like, "You should have recorded." And I was like, it didn't dawn on me. I'm upset. My trending is rushing. >> Sure. >> So, she just blocked me on everything. >> Okay. Do you have [music] any text messages on your phone about this as far as like what she said, what she didn't say, anything like that? >> Yeah. >> So, she un sent them the day that I called her. >> Mhm. >> She went and deleted, but she sent me this on March the 20th. I text her 2 days later and say, "Hey, fam. What's up?" Cuz she had text me earlier that day, two two days before then, and say, "Hey, fam. I need to talk to you. My job is in jeopardy. >> Although her account may have appeared believable, law enforcement explained the issues they encountered under the law and the evidence available in the case. >> No, >> even if I >> No, we we're at the at the mercy of the judge's schedule. That's that's their schedule. >> Take that by shoplifting. >> She didn't stop to video on I took the video. >> I understand that. Well, that's not okay because that girl got in trouble for something that that you get charged with and I don't think it's fair. >> She need to get charged with everything that she doing. That's not That's not your fault. I got everything on video [snorts] >> down from when we first got there all the way till we left. Everything on video. That's not her fault. >> I mean, just because she turned it in, it's just like it's her fault. >> Exactly. She >> And that girl is still on the run or whatever if y'all ain't caught it yet, but she getting charged with it. There something on the video show that she was given to her. >> All right, baby. Don't worry about it. >> That's crazy. That doesn't make no sense. >> 2 days later, police also made contact with the female employee who likewise did not appear to take responsibility for any wrongdoing. >> I didn't notice that right then. >> I mean, just about how long the time >> the day? >> No, no. Like, was it >> Did you notice it missing like a couple of days later? >> Couple days later. >> Okay. >> A couple days later. >> Okay. So she left with the bracelet. >> Then they came back >> the same day. >> Yeah, they came back. Yes, sir. >> Okay. Look, cuz you you know you put you put it on or you like helped her try it on and stuff. So when she left with it, how did you just did you just forget she had it on or >> Yes, I did. >> Okay. >> I did. >> All right. Y'all are cousins from what I understand, right? >> Well, she's not my blood cousin. >> How How are y'all are y'all related even by marriage? >> Right. She's married to my He's not He's not a close cousin. Distant cousin. >> Okay. So, y'all are cousins by marriage? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. And when's the last time before that time? Before when's the last time you saw her? >> I had seen her since like growing up in Hardyville, South Carolina. >> And that's and I left Hardyville years. >> Yes. I left Hardyville in 1992. >> After you found out that the bracelet was not sold, what And you told the you told your supervisor and all that stuff. And then what? And then what happened after that? She notified security. >> Your supervisor? >> Yes, sir. Okay. >> Um, was there any communication between you and >> The woman was convicted of theft after leaving the store with a bracelet valued at $1,300 without paying despite her claim that she did not intend to steal it and that the employee had placed it on her wrist. She should take responsibility for her actions as leaving the store without resolving the payment issue directly resulted in the theft charge and the legal consequences that followed. Worse still, this woman seemed to believe she was some kind of influential figure. >> Can I hear you? Can you hear me? >> You're slacking off. You better get to work, Dina. Why are you at work, Dina? You need to go to work, Dina. >> On the 2nd of July, 2024, officers approached a woman named Diana after receiving reports of her disruptive behavior inside a store. At that point, she was even accused of using merchandise that she had not yet paid for. This was what unfolded next. Hey, stop there. Hey, a monster window. Do you remember talking to me before? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You're detained right now. Okay. >> Um, are those >> those your shoes? >> Can I hear you? >> Yeah. >> Can you hear me? >> Can you hear me? >> Let's walk outside. Okay. >> I just want some catfish. >> Where's Lance? >> Lance, go. >> I just want some catfish. >> Can I get some catfish, please? What happened to your feet? Get >> some catfish, officer. >> Hey, sir, did you say these are y'all's shoes? >> Yeah, you can check them off. >> Her behavior clearly showed signs of instability. However, she still appeared aware of her actions as she soon created further chaos by arrogantly relying on what she believed were her rights as a citizen. >> Hey, come this way. >> Why are you touching me? Why is he touching me? >> I don't need >> What did I just pass? What threshold did I just cross over? >> Listen, you have their shoes on. The judge. >> Were these stolen earlier? >> No. >> The judge. >> Hey, stop. >> Hey, stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. 13. >> Pineapple wins. >> Hey, stop. >> Pineapple wins. >> Do you want to press chargers for all that goods? Okay. Hey, what did you take, Dina? Are you Dina? Do you have drugs on you? >> Did you take something? >> No. >> Are you sure? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Cuz you seem intoxicated on the substance to me. I know you uh have done cocaine before. Is that what you did again? >> Okay. Uh I'm going to go out here. I have another officer coming. Um, can you I guess verify these shoes. Can you find where that tag is? >> Yeah, I'm okay. >> Okay. >> She was then escorted to the patrol car and things appeared to become much easier as she seemed to have finally calmed down. You >> can sit right here. You don't have to get all the way in, but that way you're not leaning on a whole car. Okay. Do you have any weapons on you? >> No. >> Can I feel on the back side right there? >> No. >> Well, I don't want your hands to be near it. Okay. I'm just patting you at the back of my hand. if you had anything on you. >> Okay. What is What is going on? Um >> I'm just not feeling right. >> Okay. Why? >> Because >> Okay. Did you uh drink today or take any drugs? Are you having any sort of medical condition? Can you look at me? Okay. I I'm worried about your your safety. Okay. So, What did you expect today? [screaming] >> I'm hot. >> Okay. >> I'm going to die of dehydration. >> Can I search your bag? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Can I have one of the drinks at least? >> If it is sealed, maybe. Unless you just stole it from HV. >> Did you steal them from HB? >> I accidentally did. >> Okay. Well, then I'm not going to let you have that because you stole it. >> Okay. And that wouldn't be right for me to allow you to steal the property. What about these shoes here? >> What's that white stuff on my shoes? >> This is part of the cake that you were throwing all over the ground. >> Is it Can I lick it? >> No. >> It turned out she had not calmed down at all. She had merely taken a brief break between her irrational outbursts. Shortly afterward, officers began gathering statements from the store employees about the incident. >> When I was on the phone with dispatch, uh they said, "Do you want a CT?" I said, "She hasn't done anything." And we warned her. She stopped. I said, and then they hung up. And then right when they hung up, then she stole the that stuff. And then he caught him outside, but I hadn't gotten to talk to him yet. >> So he just did the well check and let him go. And then by the time he came to me, I was like, "Oh, they stole a whole bunch of stuff." He's like, "Crap." He's like, "They didn't tell me that. What you call it?" I said, "Yeah, they already >> I got you. No worries. Do you have your ID?" Yeah. >> By this point, the woman had been taken to the police station. She seemingly anticipated that footage of the incident would end up on YouTube someday. So, she began introducing herself in a bizarre attempt. >> I work for My name is Dina. I am under their surveillance 24 hours. Seven 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I am under the surveillance of Texas, USA. You looking over here? >> Hi. >> Hi, [ __ ] [screaming] I was still feeling so [ __ ] bored and y'all don't know what to do with yourselves with yourselves when you're so bored that you want me to go through all of this [ __ ] so you can watch. Girl, you know I just be playing all the time. Don't you ever be playing? >> No. No. >> Have you been here before? >> No. >> Finally, the woman was charged with theft, criminal mischief, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, [music] and failure to appear. Every decision you make in public can quickly escalate a minor situation into multiple criminal charges. Taking responsibility early is always better than creating more problems that only make the outcome worse. >> Because I'm not that type of person. I I don't get no trouble. You all want my name. I don't get no trouble. >> That's That's what everybody says. Stand up. >> Go ahead and stand up. Don't make me yank you up. Stand up. >> On the 14th of August 2024, police were dispatched to Walmart after receiving footage of a woman's theft. Upon arrival, she was taken to the store's loss prevention office and made shameless pleas. >> Have a seat. >> We just could pay for the stuff because I didn't understand how to work it first and we'll see. >> And I just was like putting it through. >> Have a seat. We'll go through it all and once we figure out what ain't been paid for, then we'll deal with it. >> Of course. Where's she from? Bahamas. >> Of course. You have any idea on you at all for anything? >> I just want this. That's all. >> Okay. didn't went through because the lady she was helping me and then I don't know because I know I put everything on the thing to scan. Can I just I could pay what didn't go through >> and I didn't understand that. >> You have the video what she was doing. >> That's why I'm going to go get you later. >> Okay. >> Cuz we start these two things here. But now you have her ID or something. I guess wait for that. >> I'm not even sure what that card is. >> Neither do I, but it's something. >> It's got a chip like it's a debit card of some sort. But then >> this car is property of the National Insurance Board of the Commonwealth of Bahamas. Some kind of I guess Bahamas ID. >> It's Yeah, National Insurance Board. Someone has an insurance card. >> Shortly after, police reviewed the surveillance footage showing the woman's skip scanning behavior. Worse still, they noticed the presence of an additional family member who should not have been involved. >> Is that the juvenile you talking about? >> No. >> Juvenile over here somewhere? Yeah, she's in the back of the of the stroke on the >> How long was she there with >> Yeah, I know. I I had no idea. I got a call telling me that somebody was doing something at 11:00. So, I got there a little after 12 something 12:30 something. So, I didn't see this lady there to come up on the receipt. So, I didn't get scanned. >> Did they even have that in the no >> cart? No. >> So, she just left that laying there. She's >> No, I'm sure she didn't even lay it there cuz there's nothing left there. But we'll double check on a side. >> She bought a separate alone check. >> Okay. So, and so there's three items in there. >> No, I scan all them. >> Okay, let's find out. One. >> I see them. >> Two. What is it? There's two. That was a pants and a shirt in the pants. >> So, there's one that's blue, there's one that's gray, and then there's one that's white. You >> know, the white pants go with the gray with the gray bottom and then the gray. That's a gray pond. That's a gray pants for me. >> Wait a minute. >> All right. This one we paused. Where did these Takis just come from? Who just threw those there? >> No, they wasn't MS. >> The Jews or they was not M. >> The other kids or something? I don't know. >> Somebody's messing with this. toy, you know. >> No, she cast them on her bill. They still get cash on a different bill. >> With that additional family member present, it wasn't just a case of witnessing the mother's actions. She was also seen being instructed by the suspect to take part in some of the conduct. >> Three hangers right there. Three. >> There's three hangers, but it's like two outfits on one hanger. That's what I'm trying to say. >> There's three outfits there. >> Mhm. >> No, they like doubles. They like double hangers. Like they are outfit and the parts on one hand. >> She scann these. >> Put three items together and only scan two. >> No, I I scan the parts and they go together, right? >> Or it is more. >> Like she scanned the same thing twice. >> No, they're different. They're different stuff. >> That one is different, but still there's still four pieces in there. >> Yeah. >> A misunderstanding. >> I had I noticed >> a misunderstanding is one maybe two items, not 23. No. >> About $211 worth. That's not a misunderstanding. That is called theft. >> No. No. But see what happened is when I hold it up, I just scan it like I see the tag or I just scan it like that. >> One or two was helping me. But I don't have a problem paying for it because I'm not that type of person. I I don't get no trouble. You all want my name. I don't get no trouble. Not that. >> That's That's what everybody says when they get caught stealing. >> No, you you run my name, right? You run the name. I I don't get no trouble for everything. >> It just was a mist. It wasn't intentional. No. >> Her claim of a misunderstanding might have sounded more believable with one or two items, but with 23 items involved, it was hard to accept. She also continued trying to use her family members to gain sympathy. >> It's just a mistake officer. Just please. I have two small kids. Please. I'm not from over here. >> Just because you're not from here doesn't mean that you can steal. >> No, I'm not stealing off. You steal? >> No. >> You didn't scan those items and you >> No problem. Like where where I was rushing cuz my cousin keep calling. See, I was on the phone. My cousin keep calling. I was trying to scan everything. Like, it wasn't it wasn't intentional. Officer, please. Please, can I just pay for the missed items, please? >> You had that opportunity for beyond that, >> officer. It wasn't It wasn't It was just a misunderstanding. I didn't >> It's not a misunderstanding, >> Officer. Please. I have two small kids, please. >> You should have thought about that, >> officer. Like, it wasn't intentional. >> Yes, it is very intentional. Watching the video was very intentional. >> I was on the phone. My cousin keeps asking where he was, where they want. I trying to have cash and some of the stuff probably just get missed. Can I just pay for it? >> So like Fernandez. So if you can't do anything, >> I just want to pay for it, please. >> Can I just talk to my cousin? Wait outside. >> No, she said, >> "Oh, they're still at the store." She just I don't know one of your family members. Just want to know how long it's going to be. That's all. >> After the woman was handcuffed, an officer stepped outside and explained everything to the other family members waiting outside. So Walmart because it's so much like $250, they want to press charges for that. So if they want to press charges, we have to arrest her. Okay? Because she doesn't live within our county. She lives far away. So for example, if she lived in Orlando, she still would still have to go to jail. In our policy, we have to take her to jail. So she could be released. You just got to go to the jail and get her out. Okay. >> So yeah, >> it's about 45 minutes. I can give you the address. Where where you staying at? You guys staying in Orlando? >> Yeah. Okay. >> From last night. >> Yeah. >> My god. >> So I don't Y'all from the Bahamas? >> Yeah. >> So I don't know how it is in the Bahamas when you go to jail. You had to pay to get them out. That's how it is here. >> Yeah. If she doesn't pay, then she has to stay to jail. And so she until tomorrow when she judge. >> You have to wait for a judge. >> Yeah. >> What? >> So long as you have to pay >> $500. That's to get her out of jail. Correct. to get her >> she would say from Arizona why she like that >> a lot of people that >> in the end the woman was charged with retail theft and taken into custody repeating it was a misunderstanding does not change what surveillance clearly shows when actions are documented on camera responsibility is determined by evidence not emotion or excuses worse let's change moods with this chaos Get off. >> Get out. Get out. Seriously, >> get off. >> Give me some water right now. >> Get me some water. >> On the 6th of September, 2025, officers received a report of a domestic dispute that had escalated inside a residence where a mother claimed her daughter had forced her way into the home and attacked her. Upon arrival at the scene, the mother was in a state of complete panic and distress. Help me. >> Help me. My daughter, she's she's me on the floor. She's kicked in my door. Help me, please. >> Hey, help me. Carl there. A black car on the black car. You got to be >> back up. >> Chill out. >> Back up. >> Close my door. >> Don't make us taste. >> Don't. >> You don't want to get taste for this. >> Close my door. Back up. Back up. Close my door. >> What's going on? >> Let's get out. >> Come on. Get out. Come on. Stop. >> Stop. Get out. It's going to be You're going to make it worse. >> Get out. >> You're going to make it worse. Get out. Move. Get out of the car. We're going to talk about this. >> What are we going to talk about? >> What happened inside? >> Nothing. >> Get out of the car and we'll talk about >> Get out of my car. >> This woman was uncooperative, which only further proved her fear of being exposed for her wrongdoing. And officers had to hold the steering wheel to prevent her from driving away. >> Out of my car. Get out of my car. >> What's going on? >> Don't touch me. >> What's going on? >> Don't touch me. Don't me. >> What's going on? >> Don't me. Hey, go to the other side. Make sure she doesn't start in this car. >> You can just open the door. >> In reality, the officer holding the steering wheel intentionally drew the suspect's attention so that another officer could approach from the other side door. And at that moment, they made their move. >> Get off of me. Get off. >> Get out. >> Get off. >> Get out. Get out. Seriously, >> get off. Get out of the car. >> Get out of the car. >> Get off of me. >> Get out of the car. >> Get off of me. >> Get out of the car. >> Get out. >> Get off of me. >> Can you hit the gear real quick? >> Thank you. All right, now we're not playing. >> Get out of the car. >> Got gloves. >> Yeah. You want gloves? >> Wrist lock. >> You want gloves? >> Yeah. >> It's under there. I got gloves on. Wrist locket. All right. Hold that forearm. How to get out of the car? >> Get off of me. Get off of me. >> Got that wrist. She's about to start fighting me. >> All right, get on the ground. >> She showed a willingness to attack the officers, which only further supported the earlier allegations against her. And at that moment, she even believes she could give orders to the police. >> What's going on? >> I need water. >> Okay. Well, tell me. >> Get me water. [snorts] Get me water right now. >> No. >> No. Jesus. What's going on? >> Get me water. What's going on? I need water and I'll talk. What's going on? Get me water. >> You need You need to come in. >> Get me water. >> You need to come in. >> Get me some [ __ ] right now. I swear to God. >> Stop. You better get me some water. You better >> get me some water. >> Just stop. >> Hey, don't do that. Don't do that. >> Okay, >> listen. Just >> you're going to pick >> Hey, what's your name? >> Move your right now. Stop. >> Just What's your name? >> I'm not telling you my name. >> Well, what can I call you? >> No, nothing. >> Okay. >> No, shut up. >> Well, just here's the deal. >> Give me some water right now. Get me some water. >> Get me some water >> right now. Get your hands off of me. >> No. Stop. >> Chill out. EMS coming. They're going to get you. >> Get me the water. >> EMS is going to get you some water. Okay. >> It could be seen that she was deliberately making demands in an attempt to avoid police questioning. [music] And it became even more evident as she later made incoherent and increasingly uncontrolled statements. >> Okay, cool. I can also >> Oh, shut the >> I can also [screaming] Hey, I got you some water. >> Yeah, let go of me and let me drink my water. >> I'm not letting you go. >> You can give it to you. >> Yeah, you better give me some water. That's why served me. >> Yeah. No, I want her to do it. Give it to her. Give it to >> You're either that water from him right now or you're not getting any water. >> Oh, really? >> So, let me know when you change your mind. Right. >> I'm here for whenever you change your mind. >> Hey, what happened to your finger? Shut the >> I'm asking what happened >> with me. >> I'm not trying to [ __ ] with you. >> Stop that. >> Yeah, >> she's fine. I got her. >> Yeah, you better stop. >> You stop. >> You been drinking today? >> Yeah, I have. What? What you been drinking? >> None of your damn business. >> Anything you recommend? Don't do that. >> Don't do that. >> Don't do that. >> I got her. I got her. >> I got her. >> The woman was ultimately charged with resisting arrest, battery on a law enforcement officer, and obstruction of justice. When individuals escalate conflict, refuse cooperation, and attempt to manipulate or obstruct an active police investigation, the situation almost always worsens. What may begin as an opportunity to clarify events quickly turns into criminal charges and physical restraint once compliance breaks down. >> You crash into a car. >> Then why did you just run away? >> No. >> And why did you just hide? >> Wait, wait, wait, wait. Please, please, please. >> Wait, wait. I'm not I'm not asking you not to take me. >> On the 19th of April, 2025, police attempted to pursue a woman while she was trying to flee after causing a crash. And the woman was believed to have left her vehicle and run behind a residential building. These were what occurred at that time. >> Man, I see you, ma'am. You're not in trouble. I'm trying to figure out what happened today. I still see you. Look, you're not in trouble. I just want to know what happened today. Can I Can I talk to you about what happened today? >> What? >> What happened to Starbucks? You're not in trouble. I just trying to get your information. >> You crash into a car. No. >> Then why did you just run away? >> No. >> And why did you just hide? Why is there damage to the front end of your vehicle? >> Can I talk to you, >> ma'am? All right, we'll just tow the vehicle. Then come outside and be a grown adult. No, then come outside. No, too late. >> The woman's act of hiding showed anxiety and avoidance of some wrongdoing. But when she agreed to come out, she began to deny everything. I picked the shrimp boil, dropped it off at the girl, Susan. She's my mod manager at the time. I don't know if she's still on manager. Probably not, but probably not. But anyway, I hit them up and yeah. >> Okay. So, you hit them. So, why >> I didn't know I hit them though. That's a big >> But you just said that you heard >> Oh, no. I literally I didn't think I hit somebody. I stopped. So then why did you leave? >> No, I cuz I was going there, dropped something off. I left because I thought I was done. >> And did you drop something off? >> Yeah. Yeah, I dropped this shrimp oil like a bowl of shrimp oil off and then I came back actually like probably an hour later actually and I rearranged the boil that I dro like I didn't take it back obviously, but I still had some that I dropped off. to them. Like I didn't know like that was going to be if Oh, sorry. Can I not lean on that? >> That's fine. >> Okay. >> Do whatever you need to cuz obviously you've been drinking. >> The officers detected the smell of alcohol on her and the situation escalated further as they attempted to question her more directly about it. >> How much have you drank tonight? >> What? >> Hello? Are you? No, you cannot right now. >> No, you cannot. No, you cannot right now. No, you cannot right now. Stop. I'm asking you. I'm telling you. Stop. Stop. >> Come under things. >> Stop. >> Stand up. Stand up. >> I'm already standing. I'm standing. I'm standing. I'm standing. >> So, >> I'm going to ask you real quick. Do you want to perform Do you want to perform any exercises? I >> to see how you are. >> Okay. I always perform exercise. >> You will perform some exercise. Okay. So, you mean? Yeah. >> If you want to. Yes. >> Yeah. >> So, you have to be off your phone for that. >> So, don't. >> Hey, Siri. >> So, you do want to perform some exercise? >> I will. >> Let's do it then. So, on a scale of 1 to 10, how drunk are you? >> Not. >> A nine. >> Not. >> Not. That's That's not a number. >> Not. >> So, on a scale of 1 to 10, >> do you want to do it? >> One. I'm going to ask you these questions. >> I ask you these questions. >> I don't know. I'm sorry. >> On a scale of 1 to 10, how much How intoxicated are you tonight? >> I don't get what you mean. >> What's a one? >> One. Okay. So, it's a one. All right. >> What's a two saying? Immediately after that, her sobriety tests were conducted and it was easy to see that her condition appeared erratic and highly questionable. >> I want you to stand in a certain stance and stay in that stance until I tell you to begin. >> It's not really a joke. You need to go back and listen to him. Go stand over there. >> No, it's okay. You're doing great. >> That's >> No, this is perfect, actually. >> Okay. >> So, that's what I was thinking. >> I thought I was doing perfect, but okay. Hey, can you just listen to him? >> Officer, >> listen. Listen first. >> Listen. You got to listen to me first. >> Stand right there. Yes. Okay. >> Just stand right there. Okay. Can you do me a favor? Can you step away from the vehicle? >> Yep. >> Stay right there. >> So, >> do you want me to keep my arms out first? >> I'm I'm going to explain it to you real quick. You got to listen, though. Okay. So, do me a favor. Put your left foot on the line. >> Left foot on the line. >> There you go. Put your right foot in front. >> Put your arms at your side. Okay. When told to begin, you are going to take nine heel toe steps forward >> and then make a small series of steps back. >> Nine heel toe all the way back. Okay. I'm going to show you a brief demonstration. Are you ready? So, >> can you start on that corner? >> Two. >> Just cuz it's not >> small series steps. >> All right. >> So, three and small series are three. >> Nine steps all the way back. Do you understand? >> Nine there. Ly back. >> Yep. >> Okay. >> So, >> sir, I >> stand in the stance for me. All right. Whenever you are ready to begin. >> 1 2 3 I'm sorry. Four, five, six. Is this still count or separate? >> Keep going. >> Five, six, seven, eight, nine. Not really straight curves. The woman did not seem aware that she was being distracted by multiple factors, which was a clear sign of her unstable condition. And even a passing dog was enough to throw her off balance. >> Sorry. There's been dogs that's been running through the street. >> Okay. Right now, we're not >> One just ran. >> Right now, we're not worried about the dogs. Okay. >> Okay. Sorry that scared me for this kind of pit bull. The pit bull. >> No pitbull. Ma'am, is this your dog? >> Do me a favor. >> Okay. >> For this exercise, you're going to stand in a specific stance. Okay. >> When told to begin, you're going to lift either foot. Right foot, left foot, I don't really care. >> What's going on with that? >> Is that your dog? >> That's what six. >> So, you're going to do that when told to begin. Okay. You don't start right now. So, do that. >> No, you're dead. I just >> You need to grab your dog and you need to go back to your house. >> Drive back. >> Not No, you need to grab your dog and you need to go back to your house. >> You see my hand, right? You know what that mean? >> Uh, well, you're you're impeding an active law enforcement investigation. So, unless you want to go to jail, you need to get your dog and bring him back to your house. >> Yeah. If that [ __ ] sit in my grass, we're going to have a complication. >> Yeah. Grab that [ __ ] >> At that moment, the officers gave her a chance to admit the truth, but it became clear they were disappointed and they had to proceed with enforcement action. >> No. Okay. Last >> eventually, I went to go drop something. >> So, listen. Last exercise. >> Realized I hit something. >> Last exercise. Turn around for me. >> Hands on your back. >> Oh, okay. I promise y'all I can do that. >> She was charged with DUI, leaving the scene of a crash, and resisting without violence. Ma'am, >> name she provided us was totally different. >> I heard her say that it was it wasn't her. I did hear her say that. >> Right. >> On the 17th of April 2025, deputies were dispatched to a bank after receiving reports of a woman attempting to cash a check using a fake ID. When officers approached her, every word she spoke and every action she took only made the situation appear even more suspicious. >> Hey, ma'am. Deputy Chase. Do you have your ID? Huh? Do you have your ID on you? >> No. >> Okay. So, you don't have no ID identification on you at all right now? >> Okay. Well, let's step over here. That's your um car. The white car, >> huh? >> The white car inside is yours? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, as of now, you are being detained for ongoing investigation. Okay. I don't need you to contact anybody cuz I don't need nobody to pull off or nothing like that. So, let's not do that. >> Okay. So, lock your phone and you'll have no identification on. >> Okay. Again, so I just ask you not to contact anybody. So, I'm trying to be nice. >> What? What's going on? >> You're being detained at this time. >> Why? >> For we're going to we have an investigation to investigate. Apparently, you cash a check that does not belong to you. >> So, yes, you. >> No. >> Okay. Well, that's what they're alleging. So, until we can further investigate, you're being detained. >> Okay. Okay. And you have no identification as at all. So you didn't give them any identification. >> No license, no nothing. >> Yeah, I did ma'am. >> Okay. So where is it? >> In my purse. >> Okay, hand it. >> I don't have I think you give it back. I can get it on my card. >> No, we can walk this way. Do you still have the identification that she gave you? >> I had your back. >> No, you didn't give it back. >> Check ID. I just just give it. >> Okay. Is this your ID? Your legal ID? I need that check. He's got it. >> Okay. The check. Where's the check at? >> What check? >> The check you was trying to cash. Give it to the officer. >> Okay. So, is this your legal ID? >> No. >> Okay. Is this your real name? This to be honest at this point. >> Okay. When's your date of birth? >> What's the time? >> The woman had nothing to prove her identity. Worse still, when questioned about it, she immediately began dodging the questions in a highly suspicious manner. >> I need you to get out the phone. This is a serious matter at this point. >> So, what's your name? >> Continue. >> What? >> Continue with your name. >> I'm just confused like why is this going on? Like >> I just explained why when we're standing right there. >> Trash my check. >> Okay. So, if I if you want to know what's going on, I didn't explain it. But you keep being on the phone. So, it's probably why you don't understand what's going on cuz you keep being on the phone. And I don't know if you think this is a game or like a joking matter. This is something serious, which is why I'm here cuz obviously if it wasn't serious, I wouldn't be here. So, do you need me to reiterate why I'm here? No. >> Okay. So, what's your real name? >> I'm Maria Frell. >> Do you know your driver's license number? >> No, I don't. know her. Real name real. And she has other people in the video. I'm assuming that's what she keeps communicating with. >> Where did you get this made? >> I said what? >> Where did you get this made? >> You don't know? >> They already cashed it. So she already they already lost money. >> Oh, they already catch it. >> Mhm. The woman was immediately placed in handcuffs while another deputy spoke with a bank employee. From that conversation, an entirely different side of the story began to emerge. >> Um, it's a group. I don't know if it's a group, but they've been hitting all of our post offices. So, we've been sharing it in our group text. Um, the group that was just here, no, we can't cash check without cash. So, China fell for it. He said, "Here, for that 3,000, I want to buy three money once." And then he says, "Oh, here." >> It turned out that the woman was allegedly part of a highly calculated fraud operation. The employee then began explaining how the group supposedly carried out its scheme. >> So, you're trying to find out if you need to apprehend her or not. >> Yeah. Yeah. I mean, obviously, we got enough to detain her cuz I mean, just based off this, she got false a false ID attempting to [music] um utter this check. So, >> you got all the way up until then we cash it. Yeah, you >> cash any federal checks, >> right? And then the the money order, they go get a money order here. >> Yes. Yeah. We we sell money orders uh for a fee and they actually never expire. >> The woman was charged with possession of a false identification document and attempting to cash a stolen treasury check. Criminals often believe a convincing story will protect them, but contradictions and suspicious behavior usually attract even more scrutiny. A single fraudulent transaction exposed what appeared to be a much larger operation, turning a quick payday attempt into a serious criminal investigation. What do you think about cases like this?
