every car for the mesa k9 unit is set up with a heat alarm system this particular car is set up with an ace k9 hot and pop pro system it's the latest generation of their alarm system so this particular system is set up that during the summer the temperature inside the car reaches a temperature of 85 degrees it will set off an alarm and one thing it does is it will actually send me a text saying that the uh the temperature is risen in the car so i'm getting a live update on my phone um and then at the same time when it hits 85 degrees or higher the emergency lights will go on the uh the horn will hop the window rear windows will drop down and there's a fan behind the window here if that reaches 85 degrees that fan turns on and it pulls air through the car and hopefully cools the dog down until we can get out and take care of it and also in the car there's the air conditioning controls so when we're driving around i pretty much have live updates as far as where i want the temperature to be set for the car and in the center console of the car there's a console or there's a panel that shows me what the temperature is an average temperature in the back of the car it'll tell me what temperature is on the right side of the car and on the left so pretty much i'm constantly aware of what temperature it is and it keeps our dogs very safe and we generally try to check on our car but surely it's still running and i've seen k9 cars where it's actually shut off and the heat alarm didn't sound but because i went out and checked the car i discovered that it was off and was able to save the dog from from harm
