[Music] with the city of Mesa. We have our own IT department dedicated just for PD and uh I feel like we we're just always like like just there like cutting edge basically. Yeah, man. So start from the beginning. One day I I uh I bought a computer from DAO and I was like oh this is interesting. So I kind of peaked my interest on computers. So I decided to go to school uh went to uh IT tech. Um got a degree from there and then from there I got my first job in IT which was in 200 uh 2008. My primary role I'm an engineer too. So um I handle more of the projects. Sometimes officers just have hardware problems. Keyboard isn't working, touchcreen isn't working, printer isn't working in the patrol vehicle. It might be an issue at the substation where, you know, the desktop computer isn't working. A lot of the officer's job is very computer, like they depend on computers a lot. I remember my dad, we went to a a store here back in the day called Incredible Universe. So, I remember he bought a compact computer at Incredible Universe and that was my first experience with computer and you know the whole dialup internet and and all that all that jazz and uh and AOL and chatting and stuff like that. And I always thought that was cool. The way technology always evolves, it's always it's always uh cool to to see it and be, you know, involved in it. My name is Gisha Garcia and I'm a engineer for the city of Mesa Police Department. [Music]
