Oh my god. Oh my god. >> I haven't took anything from you guys. I haven't took anything. >> Looking at my press or what you my bone. You see my how my bone is. >> All right. That's that's as loose as I can I can take I can make it. So >> shame seemed to be a concept that simply did not exist for some shoplifterss. They were willing to put their own loved ones in danger. [music] lie even when everything was caught on camera and even fight back against police officers. Those are the cases featured in today's video. Cops surprise catch a shoplifter walking straight out with a full cart. Thanks for being here. Hit the like button, subscribe to This is Law, and join us for more real police body cam footage, legal cases, and unforgettable moments. Starting with this case, trying to gain sympathy was not enough to clear herself of wrongdoing. >> No. Give me my For what? >> Get out and get into the car. >> I need my son. Where's my son? >> On the 27th of April 2024, police responded to a reported shoplifting incident at a retail store. The suspect was a woman pushing a stroller. She was accused of filling an entire shopping cart with merchandise and making no attempt to pay for it. When officers arrived at the scene, she tried to flee and the situation quickly descended into chaos. Oh my god. Oh my god. >> I came in with this. >> No. Give me my gun. >> I [ __ ] came in with this truck, >> man. I saw you coming with >> You came in with my badge. >> You're going to let me go, man. No. Give me my baby. >> I want my son. Give me my son. Give me my son. >> Give me my son. >> We're going to go outside. >> No, we're not. No, we're not. >> Yes, we are. >> I'm not going to jail. >> The woman showed no concern for her own family despite her actions. Even as she was being escorted to the patrol car, she continued to display signs of emotional instability. Do >> you have any weapons on you that I need to know about? No, >> I'm not going to deal. >> Okay. Okay. We're going to take a seat in my car. What are you doing? What are you doing? You're still going to sit in my car. I don't This act I don't really care for. So, >> no. Swing your feet into the car. >> I need an ambulance. >> For what? Get up and get into the car. >> I need my son. Where's my son? >> All right. Come on. You didn't really care about him when you were stealing. Can't >> touch me like this. >> Trying to put you in the car, man. I need an ambulance. Okay. I need an ambulance. >> Stop. Stop. >> You can't touch me like that. >> Stop. >> You cannot touch me like that. >> Stop. >> I need an ambulance now. I need an ambulance now. >> Did you understand your rights? >> Fantastic. >> Any concern she appeared to show for her loved ones was nothing more than an act. By this point, officers were trying to obtain information about him, but she had no intention of cooperating. >> Fire is going to come check you out here shortly. What's your What's your kiddo's name? You don't want to talk to us? Okay. Is there any like child medical card in there? I'm going to try to fill out that child removal form. Um, so the lady that's arrested now, she's shoplifting. She's holding on to the stroller while they're like trying to stop her. The kiddo is just getting >> around the ground a couple times. >> Yeah, maybe. Sound like he might have gotten caught one of the times, but he's just getting jostled and crashed. >> Yeah. >> Is that accurate, Liam? That like during this whole thing, kiddo would just get tossed back and forth, back and forth. It might have hit the ground. Maybe if the guy didn't catch him. >> He was definitely being neglected. He was getting trashed around. He almost killed over tipped over twice. Um he did get tipped over a couple times. >> He has not shed a single tear the entire time though. He has not um said a complaint. He's handled it very well. He seems to be a very happy guy. He's very smart. He knows where shoes go. He knows what keys are. He's >> Yeah, he's great. >> Huh? >> If you don't have anyone that can come get your child, we're going to have to contact CPS. >> Okay. >> Huh? >> What did you swallow? Huh? The hills are >> what? >> Fetties. Can you swallow fetties and you're pregnant? That's a smart thing to do. >> Given her condition, it was fortunate that her loved one remained safe. What was even more concerning, however, was that this was not her first encounter with Child Protective Services, CPS. >> This report briefly, it looks like uh last year the she was brought to Valley due to medical stuff with a shoplift incident. She had a son with her and medical staff thought that due to her mental state, she wasn't fit to uh take care of the kids. So, this is a prior CPS intake number that you might be able to give them. So, that way they already have the names there instead of giving them all the names. It looks like they spelled the name differently in that report. Uh and that's the report number here. Um >> the child's name is different. >> Yeah, it's different than whatever paperwork he found. >> Okay. Um, so, uh, yeah, >> at this point, officers moved the woman to another patrol car so they could transport her to the police station. But once again, nothing went smoothly. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. You're You're hurting me. I'm pregnant. I'm hurting me. >> I'm pregnant. You're hurting me. >> Ow. >> Why are you being like that? >> There's no reason for you to fall. >> I can't. I'm >> sit in the seat. Can you act like an adult, please? >> Hey, ma'am. >> I understand you don't feel well and that you're pregnant, so I don't want to rip you and pull you into this car, but I will. >> You need it. We are But you need to stand up and sit your butt down before I have to physically remove you. >> I'm trying. >> Okay. >> Put your feet on the roof and push yourself up. >> I'm trying. >> Okay. Would you like assistance? Cuz I will assist you. >> My body is >> There you go. Okay. Rotate your butt upwards. >> Sit up on your bottom. There you go. Stay right there. You need to stay leaning up. I'm going to the hospital right this second. >> There you go. >> Holy crap. >> You're going to the hospital, but your kiddo is going to be going with CPS. All right. >> All right. Ready, bud? >> The woman was charged with theft in the third degree, obstruction, possession of a controlled substance, [music] and tampering with evidence. Her case was also referred for possible child endangerment, and officers discovered multiple outstanding warrants. Using loved ones as a shield does not erase criminal responsibility. [music] In the end, every reckless decision only created more charges, greater consequences, and put an innocent family member at risk. Next, the woman showed no shame at all after being caught. >> For some reason, I feel like I'm under arrest. As of right now, that's where I'm waiting for. >> On the 21st of March, 2025, officers approached a woman because she matched the description of a suspect who had allegedly shoplifted at Target. As soon as they made contact, the woman denied everything, but she quickly changed her story in a suspicious way. >> Huh? >> Were you just at Target? >> Okay, you're being detained right now. >> We got a call for a retail theft and you match the description that we were given. So, I need you to just stay here with me for a second. Okay. >> Well, she don't got me. >> Okay. But that's fine. But she just matches the description. So, until we get it figured out, >> no big deal, right? All right. You want to go? Um, I'll wait here. >> I gave them back their items. >> So, you were at Target. So, why'd you just lie to me and say you weren't? >> Is there a reason for that? Or >> I didn't come in hot, right? I just But they just it's not towards you. They just did too much. Yes, it was me. I gave them items. >> Okay, I understand. >> You know, they want to send complaints or they return it. >> Did you take your item? >> They took them. >> I gave them to him before I left out the stuff. >> Get out the store. Okay. >> Can I go back? Cuz I tried to pay for the stuff. They wouldn't even let me. Like I literally told them like I'm trying to pay. They don't let me pay. >> I She went here for the bathroom. >> In fact, both women were caught shoplifting by Target employees. As a result, the store refused to let them pay for the merchandise and decided to trespass them. Officers then informed both women of that decision. >> Can I still buy the items? >> Probably not. They're probably going to trespass the both of you. >> Yeah, we we're going to go. >> All right. So, I'm going to need you to come back with me. >> Um, I ain't got time for all that. >> I'mma walk because I'm not rested and I'm not detained or none of that. So, I can walk. >> Well, I I don't I don't know yet. Do you have your ID with you? >> I can walk though. >> Okay. But do you have your ID with you? You don't have any ID with you? Do you have uh nothing that has your photo or anything on it? >> Okay. >> What's Is that a butterfly for breast cancer? >> It is. Up here. >> Despite all the evidence and their crimes being exposed, neither woman showed any sign of shame. One of them even seemed unaware of why she was being detained. Okay. I know you said you're going to walk back, but because this is a whole thing now, just I'm going to drive you back over there. We're going to see what they want to do. We'll have them come and have uh I think they want me to sign some sort of >> For some reason, they feel like I'm under arrest. >> As of right now, that's we're I'm waiting for As of right now, it's just a trespass. Okay. And it's going to be a Do you know what a local ordinance ticket is? It's just a a ticket. You'll show up to court and they'll give you I don't know. You'll have to pay some fine. You >> just can't come back to Target right here. >> Yeah, it'll be this. Huh? >> Yeah. Period. >> This this Target >> unless they say all Targets, but I think it's just this one. >> He's going to say Target. >> I need something to wear. >> You always have Walmart. Target. >> Yeah. >> I don't know. Targets been lowkey sloppy lately. Way better than Walmart and I don't have a wallet because I'm always losing it. You can't pay. Can't tap and pay. >> I just >> Walmart. >> Yeah, Walmart can't. >> If you paid close attention, the woman clearly knew how Target's checkout process worked, and she also admitted that she wasn't carrying her wallet. It was therefore likely that she never intended to pay for the merchandise in the first place. At that point, the officer decided to place her in handcuffs. >> All right, cool. I'm going to just do this in the front. Okay. All right. All right. So, there's nothing on here. Just step right here. I'm just going to pack down your code. Okay. >> What's this? Keys. Your phone. >> Okay. All the sun. [music] >> Hey, can you just make sure he's going to come right away to uh sign these complaints? Yeah. >> All right. Perfect. >> Will you give me that phone number? >> Yep. No problem. >> The woman was issued a local ordinance citation for retail theft and was formally trespassed [music] from Target. The law judges actions, not last minute excuses. Offering to pay after being confronted may sound convincing, but it rarely changes what has already happened or the legal consequences that follow. Even worse, these shoplifterss tried to play the innocent family act. >> I haven't took anything from you guys. I haven't took anything to take any [ __ ] regret that Walmart is going to pursue the violence against you for that. >> On the 8th of July 2022, officers stopped a woman after she attempted to push an entire shopping cart filled with unpaid merchandise out of the store. As soon as they approached her, she immediately tried to deny everything. that I already had came in with. >> They didn't say that. It was already on the camera. This is that stuff. >> This is my stuff already that I have already had. stand this uniform probably. So you have this tote with these >> you pay for the I just been messing with the camera the whole time >> all this stuff been in here. >> So I mean and you can go get my receipt out there on my car. >> I mean you can follow me to my car. I mean what are you talking about? You can follow me last time. >> I didn't take anything from the store. >> The room was yours. >> I didn't take anything from the store. What you mean my purse? My purse is my wallet stuff that's in there. What are you talking about? I don't I haven't took anything from you guys. I haven't took anything. Everything that I rightfully came and I paid for it. You can go down looking at my what you detained. So real quick have this whole deal right here. >> I real estate right now. I mean I don't have nothing. I pay for my stuff. Officers confirmed that the woman had reportedly come to the store with her family members. They were also brought into the loss prevention office where their defensive attitude toward their relative quickly escalated the tension. >> Don't call me a [ __ ] >> I didn't do any [ __ ] thing. We didn't do nothing today. So what what we didn't do nothing I got a whole bunch of money on my purses. We didn't do any [ __ ] thing. Are you [ __ ] kidding me? >> I paid for my back. >> I didn't take anything you put stuff inside of a church. I didn't see you grab the camera, but that's what they seen. I didn't They can't me up there. They cannot do that. Nothing in no time. That's my stuff already. >> That's my stuff already. >> When we came in, I was >> doesn't make sense to me. When we was coming in, I told my family members to move back out to the car to go get the stuff so I could do a return on my Let me Where my phone? >> If they were truly innocent, they could have simply cooperated with officers and provided the information needed to quickly uncover the truth. Instead, they kept calling other family members to defend them. They seen me and rail on the um camera, right? That we stole on the camera. He said he seen us. He didn't say the camera. The officer said he didn't say the camera. The officer said the man said he seen us. But what I'm trying to say is you know I got you know I said I was coming to do it. We turned right and right or wrong. Right. This is my sister. This is what she has to say. >> She has now. >> Okay. So, what's trying to do or listen to me? >> Arrest. >> Okay. So, I can have my sister sitting right here so she can b me out. >> Well, I did. >> But I'm trying to figure out what to do. You going to read some stuff like that? I already had this. >> This don't make no [ __ ] sense. I swear to God. This don't make no mother. >> I want to ask. Can I um can I ask you about the receipt? >> Even when the service manager asked for their receipt, they could not produce one and instead tried to steer the conversation in another direction. >> Excuse me. Why are they charging me? >> Okay. Um I don't know. I don't have anything to do with that. Um the um the receipt. Can I have that so I can give you back the money in cash so I don't have to put it on a gift card for you? >> What you need for >> the stuff that is paid for up there. So, they're what they're doing is they're wanting me to give you back um the cash. >> No, my kids can take it home. My sister's home. Okay. I'm not Are y'all wanting for the um the uh sister to take it home or >> Yeah. Okay. Let me get that sign. Okay. >> She went over to search over there. at the Walmart in Hazville. >> By this point, officers were convinced that both the woman and her husband were responsible. After escorting the other family members out, they explained what the couple would be facing. >> So, so what's going to happen is like I said, she's going to search your person, your person, and all that stuff. That's just that's pretty bad for us. When you press the hand to come to jail. All right. When I issue a citation for a shot, you have to process you in the jail to break the bond. 15% >> can't give up. I mean, I [ __ ] like court that Walmart is going to pursue warrants against you for that for the shoplifting. So they'll be they're the prosecutors in this thing. All we doing is just transporting you and issuing a citation to Walmart. All right. Some [ __ ] some straight [ __ ] This some straight [ __ ] >> In the end, the parents were charged with retail theft. When someone is truly innocent, the truth is their strongest defense. [music] But when every answer becomes an excuse, even those trying to help can end up making the situation [music] worse. Next, this man was prosecuted over less than $9 worth of merchandise. >> So, you're not This is why we have to prosecute because we have this situation with you. If it wasn't for that then I'm not finger I'm not I'm not going to did you double lock. >> On the 11th of April 2025 officers were dispatched to Walmart's loss prevention office after receiving a report of a man who had returned to the store and allegedly committed the same shoplifting scheme as before. Here's what happened next. >> Hey. >> Hello, Misty. How you doing? >> Good. How's it going? >> Hello. >> Hello. >> How are you? >> I'm fine. Hey Um, here's his ID. >> We're going to fix this cuz she had a problem. >> Okay. >> This is Missy. She She works protection. >> This is who you'll run into a lot. >> Is it wrong, ma'am? >> Yeah. No, no, I want to ask. >> Can I give my mom talk to me? >> Yeah, we'll talk to you in a minute. Okay. >> He want to give me his phone. >> No, in just a second. >> In a minute. We'll get it to you. Okay. We'll just give us a minute. >> All right. So, we have um Mr. arrested. So, at the register, then scanned this item, just bagged it. Um, I've always been speaking with him. We don't have a case case on it, but we've had we pulled him on February 23rd. We were able to pull and look up video and see that he's been skip scanning um before. >> Okay. [clears throat] >> So, it will be unfortunately, Mr. M, we will have to prosecute just because we have an issue with you before. Um, but it'll just be for this thing. This This is not um and we could pull, you know, all your card information and look up everything, but it's just going to be for this. Okay. >> The merchandise the man stole this time was worth less than $9. However, because he had previously been caught using the same skip scanning method at the store, Walmart decided to press charges. At that point, the officer explained what he would be facing next. >> But so, I mean, what is going to actually happen to me? Okay. So, you're going to go down to the police department and we're going to run a criminal history on you. If you have no prior shopliftings, I think it's like lesson four. You're going to get released on a citation. You're going to have a mandatory court date. Um, we'll be there. M will be there and all that kind of stuff. If you do have prior history as far as shop and stuff like that, then you are going to go to jail down in Perry. >> That part I ain't worried about. >> So, I would just reference I would take your phone with you and then so that way you can get a phone number out to call mom to come pick you up. >> Can she can she follow? >> Yeah. >> She can go there right now if she wants to. Yeah, you let her know. >> Yeah, we'll let her know. >> I'll get a copy and then Yeah, you'll get the right >> here. I'll take your phone for safekeeping for now cuz you can't have it on your person. >> Does she need help loading her groceries? >> I'll I'll help her load her groceries. >> I mean, I'm not no criminal. I'm not, you know, >> but she'll tell you I'm being cooperating with her. >> Well, we appreciate that. >> Yeah, I'll I'll help your mama load her groceries. I see. >> So, we'll um go ahead and take him start the process with him. Shortly afterward, the officer placed the man in handcuffs and took him into custody following standard procedure. >> But you are going to go in handcuffs, okay? So, put your hands behind your back. Okay? >> You got to go behind your back. All right. >> We got to talk to you on your way. >> Hey, ma'am. So, here's what's going on. So, they're they're prosecuting. So, they're going to go down to 100 Boulevards Police Department. Okay. If he has no prior shopliftings, he's going to get a citation and get out. >> It's kind of tight. >> I don't know. I I can fit his finger in there. So, it's good. >> We're taking his phone with him. What's that? >> I know. But, what did he do? >> He shoplifted. He skipped scanned. Basically, there's items that he didn't scan. And um because he has a history with it here, cuz I saw him on camera before, that's why they're running across. >> No, no, no. He don't have no history here. You talking about a 10-year-old? He's the one that was with a 10year-old, but he had nothing to do. >> Yes, ma'am. I'm just telling you what I'm just telling you what Walmart's doing. Okay. >> It's my my bone. You see my how my bone is? >> All right. That's That's as loose as I can I can take I can make it. So >> So our policy says is our finger can go in the cuff between the cuff and the wrist. That's got to go. >> Sorry about that. It can't be looser than that. >> I I'm not going to I'm not going to. Did you double lock it so I don't get tired of you? >> Yeah. >> I'm not going to ride. >> Yeah. Yeah. We got you. We just got to do what we got to do though. We treat everybody the same. >> So like I said, he'll go down to the police department. He will >> What did he pay? >> It was like a $8 thing. He didn't scan it. Yeah. spam. But here's his keys, his lighter, $20. Uh, so what's going to happen is he's going to go down to the police department and um he'll be booked and given a citation process. By the time he gets down there will be no less than 20 minutes. >> All right. It has to be double locked. So I'm trying to be gentle, but >> that way it doesn't get tight. Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> The man showed little sign of remorse for what he had done. Even while being escorted away, he kept trying to convince the officer in a rather strange way, insisting that he was not some hardened shoplifter. >> Trust me, you know, I I ain't never been no criminal like that. I just put that up in there, you know. >> I'm just going to go around here. So, I'm going to ask you again. Do you have anything that can poke us, dick, stab us, harm us in any here? I'm just going to have to check you one more time. >> That's That's no problem. >> Yeah. I came actually came out here to help you load your groceries up. I have >> I know. Yeah. I told him I'll come help you. So, >> thank you. I appreciate it. >> Yes, ma'am. But if you just want to head down there, you can head down there now. 5 minutes. >> I'm going to head down. >> Okay. You You have any questions? >> No. No. I I'll be down there. >> Yes, ma'am. Thank you. You, too. >> You spread your legs, please. Just doing our job here, you know. >> Hey, we got that receipt. >> You got it? >> Yeah. >> Okay. I got his phone. I explained to your mama everything. I don't know his name. >> Did you hear what he just said? >> I didn't hear. >> He said he explained everything to your mom. Go ahead. >> Thank you. >> I didn't hear what you say. >> I talked to your mama and she understands. >> Okay. like this. >> At the police department, the man was instructed to sign his citation before being released to await his court date. What do you think about how this case was handled? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. I'm going to go through that door right there. Okay. Did you lost your car? >> Yeah. I'm going to go right here to the right. Right here on this wall right here. Okay. Right here. Right here. Turn. Face the wall for me. Can you go ahead and sign right there? That's going to be your court date and time. >> So, this here is just like receiving citation on side road. Okay. Um, just make sure you show your court. >> You ain't got to worry about that. >> And there'll be a copy place in your property. >> In the end, the man was charged with retail theft. Even a theft worth less than $10 can lead to criminal charges when it's part of a repeated pattern. Prior incidents often matter more than the value of the stolen item. Next, this couple acted even more shamelessly, showing absolutely no embarrassment over what they had done. >> Oh, wait. It's my money. >> You're going to have a big problem if you do something stupid. You understand me? >> Well, you're obstructing an investigation at this point. This one, you can't go to jail cuz I'm asking you information relative to why I'm present. >> On the 26th of January, 2022, officers approached a man inside a retail store after he was suspected of trying to remove clothing tags to shoplift. As soon as they made contact, he immediately pretended to be innocent, denying any wrongdoing. However, his suspicious behavior quickly caught the officer's attention. >> You guys doing okay? >> Yes, sir. >> Yeah. Okay. Uh well, we got uh we got a call here. Okay. We got a call here from management and um you know, they said that they have you guys been uh trying to uh take the the tags off the the clothes. >> Okay. >> Okay. You have something in your sock there, sir. Turn around the other way. >> There's my lottery tickets. >> Oh, your lottery tickets. Okay. >> What else is down there? Don't do anything stupid. >> Okay. >> No, no, no, no. Let me have your hands. Let me have your hand. Come on, buddy. Come on. Come on. No. No. Let me see it. Let me see it. Open up your hands. >> Okay, you got it. Sir, >> you're going to get chased, buddy. >> Back off. >> It's my money, sir. >> You're going to have a big problem if you do something stupid. You understand me? My money. Damn. >> [ __ ] >> My money is right there on the floor, boss. Right here. >> Move back. >> As officers tried to restrain him, one officer's body camera was knocked to the ground, further showing that he had resisted their attempts to detain him. In reality, the woman was far from innocent as well. Officers soon discovered her involvement in the theft and placed her in handcuffs alongside the man. Young lady, come over here, please. >> Stand right here. Space in the way. >> Y, >> ma'am, you're going to walk with this officer. I haven't patted him down. He was concealing in his pocket and trying to get stuff out. Have a sock. Get him to a unit. Let's pat him down proper. Okay, let's walk over here. >> Was that in her pockets? In it? Yeah, it was in her pocket. This belongs to him, >> right? >> Yeah. And then this >> cash belongs to him. That was in her pockets. >> This was in her pockets. Yeah. This is It's from here. Their underwear, their kids underwear. This I don't know what it is. This is from here also. Correct. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You're going to get a citation as long as you don't do anything stupid. And you're going to go about your business. >> Okay. >> My dad just needed some underwear and >> we'll figure this. But like I said, >> more in my bra. >> You have more clothing in your bra? >> Yeah. Do you have any drugs? Are there any other drugs on here that I need to know about? It's >> true. >> Neither suspect showed any remorse after being detained. Instead, when officers asked for their identities, both deliberately made the investigation more difficult by providing false or misleading information about who they were. >> What's your first name? >> Honesty. >> What is it? >> Honesty. >> H O N E S T Y. >> I've been here quite often. >> I've both of them. >> Yeah. See, it's not the first time. Yeah. Minnie Mouse. >> Okay. >> What's his name? >> Um, your boyfriend. >> Why don't you let him do all that? >> He's going to do it, too. But what's his name? I'm asking you because you're with him. >> Your boyfriend. >> Yeah. >> What's his name? >> I just don't want to don't want to deal with that. I'm sorry. >> Okay. Well, you're obstructing an investigation at this point. This one, you can go to jail cuz I'm asking you information relative to why I'm present. >> Mhm. >> Okay. of him identifying himself, you helping me to show cuz I have it on camera. You guys are together. You calling him baby. I want to verify your guys' story. Okay. What is his first name? >> Conley Elementary. >> I can get in trouble for not saying. >> Yeah, that's what I'm trying to tell you. I just need his name. I'm not asking for his date of birth. >> What is his name? >> Cool. Is what? last name. H. >> Thank you. >> What's your name, man? >> Angel. >> What? >> Angel. >> Angel. >> It's Albert. >> Albert. >> Albert. Not Angel. >> You can change the first name, too. Albert. >> So, it's not Angel. It's Albert. >> Huh? >> It's Angel or Albert? >> Albert. >> You said Angel. >> Albert's on the way. >> You said Angel, man. Cut your [ __ ] >> We're not playing this game. >> Their crimes didn't end with shoplifting. As officers continued searching them, they quickly uncovered several more items that could lead to additional criminal charges. >> No, you got tar in here, too. >> Oh, he's got tar in here. >> That's what it looks like. Let's double check. Okay. >> You got your flashlight? Somebody else have one? So I can verify. Yeah, you got tar. >> You got tar in there. You got balloons. >> They have warrants on them. Drugs. >> Oh, really? Yeah. Drugs. Yeah. >> We found out because like when I was walking, the guy turned around and looked at me kind of weird. >> Yeah. >> And then he went I disappeared and I went to camera and then he was all the way to the clothing. Like that's that's unusual. Hi, Odyssey. Officer 30 and I'm going to be doing the search on you. Okay. Do you have anything on you that's going to poke me or stick me? >> Anything on your person that I should know about? >> I have some Okay. I was taking um stealing some socks and some underwear from my daughter from the Family Dollar. They're in my bra. >> Okay. All righty. If I could just have you turn this way. Relax your hands. >> Is that what's in your bra? >> And you're just wearing one shirt, correct? And you observed them actually taking the tags off of the clothes. Uh taking the CL uh tags off. >> They were they were trying to remove them. >> Yes. >> But those are very hard to remove. >> Yes. >> And I don't know if they were trying to actually break this the the little thing on the back is plastic. I don't know. Yeah. >> Okay. >> They were trying to take that off. >> Okay. >> Or if um they were looking for clothing that they didn't have attached. >> Did you see what happened right now when we when we uh made >> No, but there's video. I could see. >> Oh, do you have video of it? Okay, great. Um, you know what? Just in case they they need it, you know, we can >> Yes, absolutely. We'll just make a copy for you guys. >> No, no. I appreciate it then. No problem. >> The suspects were charged with shoplifting, resisting or obstructing arrest, possession of drugs, and tampering with evidence, trying to hide evidence or lie about your identity only turns a shoplifting case into a far more serious criminal investigation. Next, they them caught shoplifting from Walmart. >> Where is that other stuff? >> Stuff that was left in a buggy whenever we was walking out. Um, where did you put it? >> He stopped us until he got to the door. >> Oh, he took the merchandise. >> Yeah, he started asking questions about >> On the 16th of December, 2022, police responded to a report from Walmart about two suspects who had fled into the parking lot after allegedly shoplifting. As officers approached, one of the two immediately denied the accusation. >> Do you receive for that? >> I receive this. Absolutely, ma'am. >> I would. Thank you. They're telling me that someone stole some, so I got to cover my >> basis. Absolutely, ma'am. Right there. 607 79.69 for 37.49. Absolutely, ma'am. >> Okay. What's What's everything else on there? >> Everything else except that I brought from home. I tried to return this, but customer service was already closed at 8:00. >> That's fine. Can we meet Can we meet with the lost parent and get this squared away? >> I mean, this the only thing I have on me, and this is what I try to return. >> I hear you. Let's go. Let's go meet with them and we'll have a talk about it cuz right now I have them tell me one thing, you tell me another. Let's just meet with them and figure it out. Right. >> This was the only thing I took. This is >> Okay. It's not a question. It's not even I want >> I'm telling you we're going to meet with them. We're going to figure it out. It's not a question anymore. >> Okay. I have a receipt though. >> That's fine. >> Okay. >> If you have a receipt, well, this will be this will be easy peasy. >> This Absolutely. >> This will be easy peasy. Let's just walk over there. >> Uh-huh. And you're just doing your job. >> Let's go in that entrance there cuz that's where the loss prevention offic. >> All right. Can you ma'am this way with the cart? And we're going to go in that entrance right there. Once both women were taken to the loss prevention office, they were given a chance to clear their names. However, their version of events clearly contradicted what the asset protection employee had witnessed. >> What items did you purchase today that you have a receipt for? >> Um, that ring light I tried to return today. I have a receipt for, but customer service was already closed by the time I get here at 8:00. Okay. >> I thought it was close at 10. >> Okay. Did you buy anything else while you were here? >> The other stuff? Yes, ma'am. I just didn't keep the receipt on. >> Okay. And where is that other stuff? except that was left in a buggy whenever we was walking out. >> Um, where did you put it? >> He saw us as I got to the door. >> Oh, he took the merchandise. >> Yeah, he started asking questions that were relevant. >> It's the outdoor and it's time. [laughter] >> Why is it so warm in here? This is tropical. When you approached the money, then I asked them if they had a receipt for the items. She told me she actually does. She said she has a receipt for the warning items. Yep. >> The box item. And I asked her and said, "What about I'm not worried about that item." I said, "I'm worried about these items back obviously." Concealers obviously on our back but on our backs and I don't want to conceal once asked. >> Did you tell them not to leave? >> I said yep actually cuz I tried to get him back to the office cuz obviously that's my entire goal is to get him back to the office where information. >> So you said don't don't leave. >> Yes. >> Okay. And then um well cuz my manager called me at that time she called me telling me that Hillsboro was actually on scene and then that's obviously they had got the distance away and uh from there I told them said Hillsboro was here let's come back to office. >> Shortly afterward the suspects were separated read their Miranda rightites and interviewed individually. While the woman wearing glasses chose to remain silent, the other woman admitted to several details that supported the investigation. >> So, loss prevention is telling me that you and your friends came in, took some put some items in the car, and then took shopping bags and put the items in the shopping bags and attempted to leave all points of sale without paying for the items. >> She told me that she had to return it. >> Okay. Um, did you take any of the items and put them into plastic bags before paying for them? Okay. Do you know if the items were paid for that were in the cart? >> I do not. >> Okay. Were you with your friend the whole time? >> I was, but wasn't. >> Okay. Did you see her put any items in plastic bags in a cart? >> Yeah. >> And did you see her pay for these items? >> So, you're saying that you didn't put any items in plastic bags and you didn't know that anything was not $20? >> Okay, that's fine. So, you can go ahead and take a seat. I'm going to watch the video surveillance footage. We'll take it from there. What's up? Um, I'm not entirely sure what's going on and I don't know anything about the whole whatever was going on with them. So, I'm just saying I don't know anything about what they were trying to do. >> When you say they >> When I say they, I mean one person. >> Yeah. They said, "Oh, we're coming to the um random Walmart cuz I got a return." I said, "Okay." Oh, is that their preferred pronouns? Is that their preferred pronouns? Is that why you say? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I talk like that all the time. I think >> Yeah. Well, I was just trying to understand. So, she came here. You and her came together. >> Yeah. But I had no idea what was going on. >> Okay. Gotcha. >> After confirming the suspect's involvement, officers escorted the woman with glasses to the patrol car and placed her in handcuffs. Even then, she showed no sign of remorse, casually chatting with the officers as if nothing had happened. The only poke me, sick me, hurt me at all. >> No. >> Any pockets? >> No. >> Do you have breast implants? >> I don't, but I always got a PC. They know me. I don't want any works on me. >> Okay. I didn't like in terms of searching whether. Yeah. Searching. Um, no. I mean, I prefer a woman pat down, but you already started it and finish your job. >> Okay. I guess typically we do it based on the assigned gender on the ID. >> Well, that's not how it is proper, but you know, it's whatever my preference is, but I mean, you already started. I'm not going to stop you from doing your job. I mean, as far as preference goes, we get both people that complain that a woman did this or a man did this. So, >> totally understandable. No, I mean, I prefer a woman to do it, but hey. >> Okay, you already started. I can search. You already start moving. That's fine. >> So, I'll just have you face the car then. Okay. >> Oh, I'm sorry. Face me. And so, is this just padding or is this? Okay. So, he's going to look the other way while I do this. And you don't have anything in here, right, that I need to worry about. >> Yep. So, >> damn it. these cases. [laughter] >> Well, hopefully >> I mean in the morning what? Pre-shaw release probably. >> Yeah, you will >> from miser. You think so for that? >> I do believe so. I can't say for sure. They look at your previous record and they take all that into account. However, I don't anticipate Yeah, I don't anticipate a problem. I'm not psychic. Judge ultimate discretion, but I don't >> What was the total amount? >> Five 11 is what I thought I had. >> It was 5114, but then there was an additional charge. I can look and tell you. I'll count my head. I can't remember. >> That goes to a flare gun that I have at home. >> Flare gun? >> Yeah. >> For what? >> I go voting. [laughter] >> I have a DC fishing license. >> As for the second woman, she showed just as little remorse, waiting impatiently for her turn to be arrested. >> Hey, your turn. That first Ford Explorer right there. >> Um, you're being arrested for petty theft, >> but I can't get out until the bond shows, right? >> Yes, ma'am. >> And that's usually tomorrow. >> Yes. Yeah. I mean, I don't want to give you a definite, but Yeah. That's typically how it works. I'm just going to have you lean up against the car. Do you have anything on you that I need to know about? >> No, ma'am. >> Can we get to the table together? [laughter] >> Can you swing your feet up for me? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You'll be in time for sure. >> In the end, she and them, they were charged with petty theft. Retail theft investigations are often built on surveillance footage rather than excuses. Even when suspects offer receipts for a few items or shift blame to someone else, video evidence can reveal the entire sequence of events, leaving little room to avoid criminal charges. Next, this woman made everything far worse just for some food. >> I'm not sucking that. They humiliated me. Please don't do this. >> I'm not doing no whole activities for food no more. >> Look at my DNA. You a too. You a pedophile and I'm a bastard too in a uniform. >> On the 23rd of August 2025, officers boarded a bus after receiving a report that a woman who had allegedly stolen food from a Dollar General had fled onto it. As soon as they approached her, she denied the accusation and the situation quickly became tense. >> Can you send us that on Britain? We're going to have that girl. She's walking on >> Come out here so we can see. >> Okay. Come out here. >> I'm not sick and they they humiliating me. Please don't do this. >> I'm not doing no whole activities for food no more. >> Listen, can you just come out here? >> I already paid for my food. >> Just come out here so we can >> They're not going to keep punching on me, son. I'm sitting right here. I didn't do nothing wrong. I'm not going to keep going through this. They keep calling the police put me out in the streets. >> Okay. >> I didn't do nothing wrong. I didn't about to keep taking food from me and giving me eggs. that if you paid for it. That's not >> getting off the bus. The bus came. >> No, we have to talk to you outside of the bus. >> I'm not talking to you. I already been battered. I got better than the Citra. >> Dear, listen. I This is going to go two ways. You're going to get off the bus willingly. I'm going to put you in handcuffs and I'm going to force you off the bus. >> Why do I have to get off the bus? Don't do the parts on me. >> We're trying to investigate something. >> Well, I just told you I paid for my food. >> I didn't put handcuffs on me anyway cuz I'm blast. That's not true. >> You're gonna do it. You >> down here with me. >> Sorry. I'm sorry. >> You're okay. Come out here. >> All right. You said you got a receipt. >> Officers successfully persuaded the woman to step off the bus so the other passengers would not be affected. However, [music] once outside, her uncooperative attitude only made the situation even more difficult. >> Can you show me it? I'm moving fast. I I paid for my food. >> Okay. >> They sometimes give us the receipt. I I I got everything in the bag. >> Okay. So, where's the receipt? You said you have one. >> I know that I have one. You just I don't know if I left it on the bus and I sat down. I just got off like y'all told me to get off. >> I got you. >> I don't know if I dropped anything. I'm not I'm >> just scared. They keep doing this. I'm slinging and yelling, but every time I go to sleep, it's like they want me to stay up on drugs. >> And every the people in that building, I go to sleep. >> What building? >> The number building. They called the police on me earlier and I don't got nowhere. >> We weren't out here with you earlier. Okay. >> They keep trying to make me go to jail. I'm tired. I'm tired of going to jail. And they keep spending my social security income. >> Okay. All right. That we just We're just trying to make >> I went to the store. I paid for my food. I got my ID, my federal ID to get on the aircraft. I can't get on the aircraft because every time I go to the ATM, it say the funds are not available or or it won't say the uh blanket total amount on my card, but I swipe it in with the magnetic strip to pay for my food. I got $950 stolen from me. The man always let me come in and spend what I need. I keep there at the dollar. >> Yeah, but I'm not I'm not going to do derogatory things to get food. So, I give them what I give them and I leave out the store. My [ __ ] is back. Okay. >> My my receipt probably was on the bus or when I >> The woman insisted that she had done nothing wrong. However, when officers asked her to go with them, she refused, raising the question of what she was so worried about. >> How about How about we do this, dear? >> How about you just get in the back of our car? >> Um, >> can you take me to the shelter? Look, look. We're going to go. We're all three of us. >> Look, cuz he's going to give you hearay and then I'm going to go to jail because y'all always put me in jail cuz I talk to y'all. If I don't talk to y'all, y'all don't put me in jail. >> We're just trying to investigate. So, >> I already He's They are womanizers. >> Well, listen. If you did, >> they get jobs and they womanize people. They make us do the stupidest [ __ ] >> We just We have to hear both sides of the story. They just did this at the building with me with the police uniforms. >> I was going to say we weren't out there so we don't know that. >> I'm not going to keep going through this. It's like y say face your fears. Go back to your baby dad and punch your eye. Y'all just let a military servant punch me on the chapel stairs. I don't want to keep talking to them. Every time I put a wig on, they do this. >> So, are you going to get in our car or not? >> You told me to get off the bus when I was going to my house. >> Yes. So now we have to go to the Dollar General and investigate. >> You know what I'm going to do? Since they don't want me to eat and get full-blown age, just take it to him and tell him for me as a woman and like if I was your mom, she's not here for groceries anymore. >> She repeatedly changed the subject, talking non-stop. So the officers could not explain the situation. Not wanting the encounter to drag on any longer, the officers decided to take action. >> Just put your >> Okay. No, I'm not. >> What did I say wrong? I was being truthful. What did I say? I'll get in the car. I'll do whatever you say again. >> No. Please tell me. Look. Can I put >> Put your hands back. >> Every time y'all do this. Every time y'all lie, y'all me every time. Why do y'all do this? And I trust y'all to protect me and my kids. And then y'all traffic my kids in that building. >> See how you looking? If they do this to you, >> look at what? >> I'm not nothing to you. Right after I suck, got nothing for groceries. >> I didn't say anything like that. >> Now you putting your 24 karat gold on my arms. >> I'm going to sit here and say a prayer. >> You need to pray for me before you put me in inside of my >> See how you talk to me. This what they just did to me and I gave you my voice. >> I gave you my voice like I gave you my in my mouth. >> You're about to catch another charge. >> How am I catching any charge when I'm doing everything you told me to do? You told me to get off the bus, sir. Don't abuse me. This is what they do. They people. They traffic us. >> They traffic us and they use your uniform to put me in jail and do it to another person. >> Is there a unit with a rap? >> Why aren't you listening to me like I'm your sister? >> Well, now now you just caught extra. >> I didn't catch no charge. You got handcuffs on me. You me. I go to another country, you cut my hands off, you do the same stuff all the time. >> Her own resistance had led to the situation she was now in. Yet, she showed no signs of stopping. She repeatedly portrayed herself as the victim while her behavior became increasingly erratic. >> Y >> break my arm. Punch me like that. >> I suck on you. You could just stay on the ground. >> Don't you do that [ __ ] too. You a too my DNA. You a too a pedophile and a molester in a uniform. Nah, Dallas, you a from California. You are a molester. >> And this Bird, they paid me $100 to have sex with them and get groceries. Stop. Look how I hate this. I hate brown. I hate brown sugar. I hate everything. Russia, you see what they do about that after they give me money? After they give my social security number, look how he hurt me. >> She did >> forcing this me in a different way. >> Well, that's extra >> and want me to value myself. It's all right. I'm sawing you for putting your body skin to skin on me for my partner in the face. >> I'm getting a civil rights attorney. That ain't Holly Miller. Judge Matis. Judge Joe Brown. All right. H Judge Jodie. Look how he pressing my ear. Theying me in a different way. They already got away with it. Now I want to eat. I hate y'all. I'm telling you now. >> You can hate me all you want. in the military going to take your badge and your uniform. You put your hands on me. >> She clearly and intentionally kicked one of the officers. As a result, [music] when the backup officers arrived, they had to use a stronger restraint method to bring her under control. >> H O L I C E uniform pieces. >> You see how they sodomized me? Sex premises. They me that I'm Africanamean. I'm a black American academic writer. I'm not a prostitute >> down just a little bit. >> There you go. >> That's good. >> See the black body bag. I smoked up what they gave me for psychiatric treatment. And look how they doing me. >> Hold her on her side first. >> Look how they doing me. I would never trust another human being. Never again, Lord. Never again. There will never be another police unit. All this is gonna be extinct like salmon. I'm telling you, never again. Look what they doing to me. Like I'm a dog. >> Like I'm a dog. Cuz I brought groceries and I didn't want eggs for it from me. Do anything for y'all to for royal relief. Never again. >> Never again. Never. I can't even read a Bible no more. They took my Bible. >> Move that strap. >> They took everything from me. They came. >> Afterward, a group of officers returned to the store to notify the employees and gather additional information from their side. >> And she said, "Hey, what's up?" came to me. And then walked into our back room. >> Did she take anything? >> She took a bag a bag full of cereal and stuff. >> Okay. >> But walked when she walked in our back room. I didn't even know she walked in our back room until my boss literally looked and said she walked into the back room. >> Okay. Do you want charges? >> Yes. >> Okay. Um, are you able to like total up how much she took? >> Um, my boss can. >> No, we we didn't bring product with us. >> Yeah. >> And they're ripped, so I'm not going to >> DJ, I need you. Okay. >> So, what what got me is when she walked in and right before she walked out, all she said is, "I want to suck, too." >> And then she walked right out. >> Fantastic. I think that's what everyone says. >> Okay. And then do you guys have video of it? Okay. >> Yes. But uh my b my boss told me that she won't be able to be back in until Monday and then she said that she's got to be the one to pull out that video. >> Oh, you guys can't see the videos? >> Nope. >> They didn't arrest me long as I'm drinking and sitting down. But the moment I wanted to eat and fill myself and nourish myself and take care of myself, now I'm tied down with with all this. We happened to meet in that aisle and then we both thought it was strange actually. It's like, well, wait, it's like this lady's got a bag here actually in the aisle. And then he even mentioned to me, he's like, "Yeah, you find that odd, too." I'm like, "Yeah, actually, >> she already had the bag just >> Yeah, because Yeah, cuz like I said, I saw I posted noticed though back there in the freezer aisle and like Yeah, she had a bag cuz she had some stuff and then she was putting it in a bag and I'm like that doesn't look right though actually. It's like, you know, something told me it's like Yeah, this ain't right. Yeah, because that Yeah, cuz she did mention too it's like I need my bread, you know. I need my bread. In the end, the woman was charged with theft, resisting arrest, and assault on a police officer. A single bad decision can often be corrected. [music] But refusing to take responsibility in escalating the situation through resistance and violence can turn a minor offense into multiple criminal charges with far more lasting consequences. Next, let's head back to Walmart once again, but this time, the chaos wasn't about shoplifting at all. >> You pulled over me because two >> Okay, so if you don't listen to me, you're going to get put in cuffs right now. On the 15th of November, 2025, officers received a report about an assault in a Walmart parking lot where the female suspect allegedly fled the scene shortly afterward. Police quickly caught up to her vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, but it became clear that handling the situation was far from easy. >> Get in the car. Get back in the car. >> I don't care. You You need to get back in the car. >> You got to sit in the car. >> For what? >> Get in the car. >> What do you mean for what? >> Stretching my legs. >> Actually, come here. Come here for a second. Come here. Just come here for a second. >> Stay right here. >> Okay. Just chill here for a second. You want to talk to him for a moment? >> Stay in the car. >> Get in the car. >> Let us talk to you. You need to stay in the car right now. >> Why are you What are you doing to my son? >> Why? He's not supposed This is This was a traffic stop. I'm not harassing him in the car. >> Stop. No, it's not because two No. And what's stopping you? Dirty. You pulled over. Get in the car. You >> stopping me because two little >> Okay. So, if you don't listen to me, you're going to get put in cuffs right now. >> I can't get in my car. >> Why not? >> Because I can't hear what's going on. I want to know. No, you're not. >> Yes, you are. >> Hey. Hey. >> Stop. >> Get out the car. >> She did what you said. >> I did what you said. What are you doing to me? >> I did exactly what are you doing now? >> I told you I told you. >> I am in the car. Get tased. >> I'm in my car. >> You're going to get tased. I'm in my car. >> Get out of the car. >> Stop pulling on me. >> Get out of the car right now. >> Why is he Why is he on the car? >> Get out of the car. We're not playing games. >> You should remember that trying to use your vehicle as a safe zone while you were the subject of an investigation only made the situation worse. And with your aggressive attitude at that moment, it only made the earlier accusations seem even more believable. >> I gave her direct orders, but she doesn't look. >> No. No, you didn't. back. I told you to get in the car several times. >> You said it's a traffic stop. That's a lie. You're >> supposed to get in the car. >> That is a lie. It's not a traffic stop. >> You're being detained. >> It's not a traffic stop. It's a lie. >> It's okay. >> You're lying. There's a line. >> He needs a traffic stop. It's called an investigative traffic stop. >> Yeah. Because two people call the line. >> Relax. >> They trying to hit him in front of him. My brother and my kid. >> And we're supposed to talk to you about that, but we haven't got to that. >> Talk about it, but you got to listen instruction. >> Can I breathe? Can I breathe, please? >> I'm asking. >> Let's just make sure we separate them. So, maybe just have her sit in the >> I don't want to sit, Carl. Stand over here on the back side. I don't want to sit down. I will stand fine. >> Listen, we should I shouldn't have listen. I'm upset because these two little kids almost hit my mom and my baby and then they tried to hit my son. Let's let me slow down first. Okay. Okay. >> The reason I told you stay in the car is because it's for officer safety reasons. I don't want to have to put I don't want to have to pull you out of the car. But when I give you instructions, I need you to listen to me. Okay. This is officer safety. It's me and it's me and two. It's still us. Okay. I hear you. I >> And there's more than you than us. >> I'm sorry. I will listen. But I'm I'm I'm sad because they tried to run my mother over with my baby. >> When things stopped going her way, she quickly tried to shift the narrative and paint herself as the real victim of the situation. But to be fair, let's hear the full story from her side as well. >> Okay, when we were coming out to my car, we just got from Walmart. I was pushing the car with the stuff. My mom was in one of those motorized wheelchair thingies, whatever you know that Walmart has that all the stores have cuz she can't walk very well and she was holding my daughter and they almost hit my mom in the cart when they were pulling in. They almost hit her and then when my son's walking out, they see him and they speed up and almost hit him, too. Oh, >> and I said something to them because it's disrespectful. And then they got out of their cars and I said, "That's pretty rude. You need to learn how to drive." I got pissed. I did. And I cussed at him. I didn't touch them. Neither one of them. He fell running. And he goes, "So what if I did?" And that pissed me off even more. You almost hit my child and my mother. And then you almost hit my son. And you all you can say is, "So what?" >> Okay. And then I I I was I I was gonna get him. I was going to, but I didn't. >> If Okay, so battery is when someone puts their hands over. You know what I mean? So if if you didn't touch him, then there's no battery. You're right. Assault is when you make someone believe they're about to be harmed. Fiscally >> He did that to us when he almost put my mother and when he almost hit my son. >> Okay. >> He did that to both of them. My my child in the back seat there. She's not even two. >> Yeah. >> And my my other son and my mother. She clearly tried to present herself as the victim, but did you ever question why she never called the police for help at the scene and instead chose to leave? Keep listening because the rest of the story revealed the answer. >> And that's okay for him to do that though. >> And be like, "So what about it?" That's exactly what he said. >> It's not okay. It's not okay for anybody to be doing all this. I feel like e both of you should have just >> I know I should have. I should have. I really should have some of you, but he did it to both of them. >> Yeah. Like I tried to let it go, but like I said, then he does try does it. He's literally seen my son when he was turning. He he he turned the corner down the the row probably about 15 miles an hour and there was a car. He literally stopped maybe this close to the back of another vehicle. >> Okay. And your son was driving? >> No, I'm driving. >> You were driving? Yes. >> Okay. Okay. So, when you saw that happen, he kind of pulled over. >> No, I wasn't driving. Neither Nobody was driving. I was The map was open like that and we were loading it up with our >> I see. And he came down and was >> Yes. My mom was right there >> driving too fast and he almost hit you almost hit your mom and then almost hit your son. Yes. >> You called him out on it. >> You guys are arguing. >> Yeah. No, he just said he just said, "I'm I'm going to call the cop before I even did anything." He said, "I'm calling the cops for assault." >> Okay. >> Cuz I didn't do nothing. All I did was yell at him. >> He said he's going to call after you chased after him. >> Before that, he said that and then he did after I chased him. >> Okay. So, after you chase him, then he fell and then you then you guys already left by then. Okay. I see. I see. >> He gave you guys my plate number and all that. And I mean that's why I mean it's important for us. So we have to talk to you tomorrow. You're not under you're not under arrest. >> So within her own story, the woman had already admitted to chasing the man and that quickly helped officers make their decision. >> All right, Judith. So we've decided that you are under arrest for assault. >> Oh my. >> What did I do? What did I do? >> So we watched the video footage and this officer here decided that this is what if you want to ask questions, you can talk to her. >> They already read the right. already. >> Why am I getting arrested? Um, I spoke with your LP officer and he gave me the uh information and with that uh our procedure is to call our detective bureau due to the uh threshold of the uh theft and apparently $40,000 being taken care of. After speaking with him, he said, "You guys can do your interview [music] and termination, and we'll get his information, the LP's information, and we're going to forward it up uh to our detective bureau, and tomorrow morning they're going to give a call, and they're going to do their own investigation." >> Got it. >> Okay. >> Just never had that happen usually. >> Yeah. I would love to make the I love I would love to make the arrest, but our procedure is to call the detective bureau. With that, I did. and uh he uh he [music] told me to go this route. You guys can still trespass them and everything. We're going to have all his information. We [music] just want to get all our ducks in a row and with all the videos cuz over the span of a month. So the detective burial would handle that and make sure the PC fits the $40,000 in each time and the days corroborate along with the money being taken. >> So because normally like with any type of theft, we have all the video of him doing it. >> Yeah, I completely understand that. >> I completely but that's where that's where we're at right now with the uh my supervisor and the detective bureau. They got to write each date and time, >> each increment, and that takes a while. If he takes, listen, we have task force. We have that's a felony warrant. He will [music] be picked up. Okay. >> Right. So then even if we're going based off of what we were able to see yesterday that was like a,000. >> Yeah. But they wanted they don't want to arrest him on just that one theft. They wanted to arrest him on the $40,000 cuz there's a threshold of theft. >> It goes up. >> Yeah. I suppose it's above 20. >> It the becomes a first. >> I get Yeah, I get what you're saying. >> With losses reaching $400, this showed the case had become extremely serious. At that point, officers in the loss prevention team outlined the consequences he would have to face. >> Want to turn real quick? >> So, she's just going to say her little >> All right. Um, unfortunately, we have to for misconduct with us. Um, at this time if you could just give us everything that belongs to your keys, your name badge, um, anything else that you have that >> Oh, just sorry. You said >> Thank you. >> And then after um you go get your belongings in your um office area. >> Oh, no, no, no. It's just right there. No, you're fine. You're fine. Don't worry about it. Just [music] There you go. Date right there. No, you're good. Thank you. Okay. Um and then Perfect. Thank you. Thank you. Um they're just going to I You >> Yeah, I'm not detaining you or anything. I'm just walking you out and you don't I'm not doing an investigation as of now. So Okay. >> All right. >> But don't be fooled. There will be an investigation. >> Oh, no. I understand. >> It is what it is. I got you, bro. So, I'm just uh verifying you leave without, you know, any kind of disturbance. >> Yes, sir. >> The man appeared extremely anxious about his fate. [music] He was then released while the case continued to be investigated. On the 11th of February, 2026, officers approached his residence with answers regarding the case. Um, got his first helmet. Yeah. >> Yeah. Is he here? That's me. >> That's you. >> Yeah. Okay. Um, you used to work at Target, right? Okay. Here's the deal, bro. Um, I'm going to try to make this work for you. Okay. There's an arrest warrant out for you right now. I don't want to take you right now. Okay. Yeah. >> All right. I know. >> Let's make it work so that you can turn yourself in for a day that's convenient for you up in Palm Beach. Okay. Then you can get processed and then once you're processed, um, you'll be released on a bond. Okay. So it's for everything that happened at Target. So right now you're looking at you're looking at one count of grand theft and one count of organized scheme fraud.
