But right now, I need you to I need you to put your hands behind your back. I'm >> going over here. I need Oh, that's fine. I I got it. Understood. Understood. Understood. Put your hands behind your back for me. >> Please don't [ __ ] war. Please don't run to me when you have a thing to talk to them. Please. >> Okay. Face face the car. I know it's my fault. Officer, please. Please God, don't process me. Please. On the way to the station, she kept begging Walmart to let her pay. [Applause] In the end, the 34 year old woman was convicted of retail theft over $300, class 3 felony. After a plea deal, the charge was reduced, but she still served 70 days in jail, received 30 months of probation and paid $624 in fines. Remember, the law has no section for buying freedom with tears. And no child is ever proud of a parent caught stealing bedroom toys. Next, let's take a look at the girl who enjoyed playing the shoplifting game while drunk. >> You okay? >> On August 6th, 2024, Orlando police responded to an urgent call from Walmart. A woman grabbed a backpack, stuffed it with merchandise, and walked past checkout without paying. But it was her strange behavior afterward that raised even more suspicion. Here's what happened next. You want to walk over? >> The suspect was taken into custody immediately, then questioned by police. She seemed cooperative at first, but kept showing unusual expressions throughout. >> What's your first name? >> Olivia. >> Last name? >> Connelly. >> How? >> Connelly. >> Connelly. >> Connelly. I know. >> Okay. Thank you. >> What do you mean? Can you give me Can you give me somebody else's phone number that can reach you? >> Don't forget any >> Don't have anybody. >> Okay. >> Okay. I need another person. >> While waiting for the store manager to tally up the stolen goods, officers began to suspect she might also be under the influence of something. You okay? >> Just hang tight for me. Okay. [Music] Um, do you still wish to talk if I ask you questions about this? >> Can I ask you questions? >> I guess you can ask. >> Yeah. >> Can you tell me what this is? >> Do you have a name? >> That was already in the bag. That's not mine. >> It's not yours. >> A new twist came when officers discovered a strange substance in her bag. When questioned, Olivia denied it immediately. Meanwhile, the store manager reported she had stolen nearly $178 worth of merchandise. >> It was $178. >> What are you talking about? $170. >> $178 worth of merchandise that you trying to steal. >> That is a lie cuz literally it's pens, notebook, an outfit. Police then tested the strange substance found in her bag. The result came back positive for narcotics. In the end, Olivia was immediately transported to the Orange County Jail and charged with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and retail theft over $100. Olivia's case is a clear warning. Over a few cheap items, and dangerous curiosity, she destroyed her future with jail time, probation, and criminal charges. Next, let's take a look at the sophistication of this shoplifting crew. >> Ceiling back down. Just hold that back. >> Oh, lordy. >> On May 27th, 2023 in Florida, police ambushed a shoplifting crew who stashed goods in their car before sneaking back for more. Watch how their bold scheme collapsed instantly. 10. Come on. [Applause] Go over there. You go over there. >> You're being accused of stealing. >> Back down. Just hold that. Hands behind your back. >> Hey, get him. Get him. >> Hey, put your hands behind your back. >> That is hers. Put that by her. This is the stage for the other one or no >> that might be. >> As soon as they approached, police immediately arrested two women and identified the bags as theirs. At the same time, they handcuffed a man, but it seemed they had the wrong guy. >> He has nothing to do with this, right? No. 54 on him. Let him go. So, we're still missing one. >> Yeah. Okay. The tattoo on the arm guy. >> Okay. >> Hey, ladies. >> What are you doing? >> I'm already getting camera right now. You >> got an ID on you? >> No. >> No. >> Line too. >> What do I? Yeah. >> What's your first name? >> Wait, where's their ID? She don't have >> They don't have No, they're lined. >> Oh, lined. Aligned. I thought you said they they were lying. I'm like, what? What? >> Yeah, they're lined. >> Just dripping. >> Each stolen bag was quickly seized. However, one male suspect was still missing, heightening the tension. A preliminary check showed each had taken several pairs of shoes, yet they kept evading and refusing to provide identification. >> Identify. >> If I don't positively identify you, right? >> Okay. That means that I'm going to put you under John Doe >> and that's going to make it a lot >> or Jane do >> and then it's going to make it really hard for you to get out of there. >> We were talking. >> Yeah, that's fine. >> And walking the car. >> Within minutes of the search, officers spotted two suspicious men. One trying to lock the car doors to hide the goods, but it was already too late. >> Yeah. Two people got one side trying to get away. >> I got these tools here. He just locked the door. He just tried to lock the doors to the car, too. Adidas. Where do you want to see it? Right here. >> Dennis, where's your car at? >> My car all the way. >> Bring mine over. >> Well, I wanted to free you up. Hey, >> we're literally right. >> We don't have enough people. We only have four people. So, I bring my car over. >> Uh, well, I'm going to leave my camera to see if we can get anything. Two women were placed in the patrol car while the other stubbornly lied, facing the risk of being booked under a Jane Doe file. >> What is your social? >> I don't know why you need my social for >> to help me pull you up cuz I'm having a hard time, right? So, if I can pull you up and I don't have to pull you in as a Jane Doe, it makes it easier for you to get out. So, if that's what you want, that's fine. We can do it that way. But, I'm trying to make this a little bit easier on you. I'm down. >> He's got his ID. The officers assessed this was not just a petty theft, but a professional crew that repeatedly broke in, took loads of goods, then came back for more. The evidence was so abundant, it left them astonished. >> What does it mean when you guys say booster rooms? >> Uh, organized, and they usually have the bags lined when you go, um, I usually mean the car full of steps. Oh, >> they just go back and like back and forth. Yep. >> Dump steel. No, steal. It's amazing. That's why I say citizens. >> Okay. >> You don't have a social, right? Do you have a social? No. >> No. >> Okay. Just going to do a homeless >> shoes. >> All Nike or >> Yep. The looks of it. Oh lordy. [Music] The investigation later revealed that the two men had stolen a total of $4,077 worth of Nike and Adidas merchandise. In the end, the entire crew was officially charged with felony grand theft, facing two counts each. In addition, one suspect faced an extra charge of possession of an anti-shoplifting control device. What do you think about this case? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Now, meet a so-called fake rich woman who brazenly loaded up carts as if she were shopping in her daddy's own store. >> Before I handcuffed you, >> I had one shopping cart and have some shopping carts. Maybe my god brother had one and I had one. >> No, you had two right there. On January 21st, police rushed to a Walmart after reports of a woman pushing a cart overflowing with items past the checkout without paying. Watch how she tried to justify this reckless act. >> What do I go to jail for? >> You're not resisting. >> I'm not resisting. >> Put your Put your bag there. Put your bag there. >> Right here. >> What am I going to jail for? >> You're under arrest for shoplifting. >> But these are supposed to be for returns. They're supposed to be free. See how this works is you can't take stuff from inside and not pay for it and take it out and then return it. That's called fraud. It's called stealing. That's how that works. >> You kind of have to pay for stuff before you return it. >> I got the mail. I think um 54 and 56. >> Can I turn off my stuff, please? >> Can I set up my stuff, please? 54. Yeah, we got both the >> At this point, instead of taking responsibility for her actions, she kept begging to pay for the trouble, but the officer firmly stated it was outright fraud. >> Is anything not pay for all the stuff besides? >> No. No, that's not how it works. >> I'm not being sarcastic. >> No, I'm not being sarcastic either. You're an adult. You can't steal stuff from the store, two cart loads full of stuff, and then say, "Oh, I'm in handcuffs now. Now I want to return it." Maybe. >> Okay. Is this your driver's license in here? >> My driver license is not in there. >> It's not in here? >> No. >> Okay. >> I wouldn't think so. >> You wouldn't think so? >> Okay. >> Well, can I tell him to pick up the car? Cuz I do have a car here. >> Um, >> I need to get a receipt for everything. >> So, hold on. We'll take this one too once he's ready. >> Hold on. >> I'm going to go with you so that way we can get the receipt and uh you'll go to the office. >> What? >> We'll put her we'll put her in the same car. >> No, no, no. They do not go in the car together. Sir, >> is that where we can pay for our >> You cash that already? We already done. You're done with that. You stole the bags to begin with. >> No, that's my bag. >> No, you stole these bags to begin with. Your sticky hands got into my my stuff. Look, there they are. You even have more in your own personal bag that you just said is yours. >> That is my personal bag. >> And who's in there? >> I'm in. >> Put her in your car and then he can go in his car and then I'll get everything started and go from there. Yep. Just start getting IDs and we'll go from there. Police seized all the stolen goods and worked with the store to tally the losses, a significant amount, while the suspect remained unfazed as if being arrested was nothing new to her. >> No. 783 93. >> All right, perfect. Uh, I'm going to go outside, check on my guys, and then I'll come in and get you guys uh information so that way you can start doing the >> send me the link and all that and we'll do all that. >> Yeah, perfect. trespassing. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's part of the event. Got it. >> Thank you. >> I have to have someone come here to >> Yeah. Or you can get to >> No, but then you have the key and they won't be able to get it. So, that's why I'm asking. >> Well, I'll get I'll call the toe and then we'll get the keys. We'll give the keys to We'll give the keys to the toe. >> They live around the corner. Can they pick it up, please? >> Listen, you realize you're committing a crime, right? You really committing a crime. You can't we can't be we're not going to be assisting you with your with your what you want to do cuz you're committing crimes and now you want to not tow your car feet. >> Mommy not telling them how I'm just asking politely if they can help pick it up. >> No. >> H >> can they? >> No. >> Sometimes they allow it. >> What is this? Is this a pocket that goes into >> Sometimes they allow it. That's what I'm asking. >> Allowing what? because they won't have a car. >> I don't I don't know what you're asking me. >> If my people think if the car owner can come pick up the car, >> we'll figure that out. >> It's almost laughable that she only worried about her car being towed while showing no concern for the serious theft charges she was about to face. >> Yeah. >> Having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me or talk to us? Savia, >> having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to us? >> Well, about the the carving, >> about everything that just happened now. >> I'm asking you, can we pay for my troubles instead of going to jail? Because I know. >> Look, listen. Having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to us? >> I'm talking to you. >> Yes or no? I need a yes or no. Okay. All right. So, I don't know exactly what happened. >> Yeah. >> Do I have his ID? >> No. No. uh your ID. >> No, I don't have my ID. >> You don't have your none of these three. >> That's my uncle and my cousins. We went out. So, >> I'm like I said, I'm going to figure that out at the end. Your car is the least of your worries right now. Literally, you're wast your worries. You should That's the last question you need to be asking right now. There's a lot of things we got to figure out first cuz obviously you committed a crime. So, >> that's what I'm ask I'm ask for. >> So, I'm going to ask I'm going to ask you once and once only, okay? About what happened and you need to tell me the exact truth. If you don't tell me the exact truth, that's gonna be on you. >> Okay. >> So, tell me from from exactly what happened, what you stole, everything from literally where you were. >> Towels. Towels. >> This forced the officers to stress that what mattered now was the crime she had just committed. Under pressure, the suspect admitted her actions were just out of stupidity with no clear purpose other than planning to return the items for cash. All those items in the cart, those are all all items that you took and you were going to plan on taking out taking them out of the store without paying for them, right? The shopping cart that I saw in your hands. Correct. >> The shopping cart that you see in my hands, you said what? >> Those two shopping carts that you had when I stopped you over there before I handcuffed you. >> I had one shopping cart. I didn't have two shopping carts. You remember my god brother had one and I had one? >> No, you had two right there. You had two. And then you had two shopping carts. >> I had one shopping cart. >> H >> I had one shopping cart. >> Okay. So everything in that shopping cart you admit to to obviously stealing, right? >> I had the shopping cart with the bings. >> H >> I had the shopping cart with the sheets in >> with the sheets. Okay. So those sheets you were planning on playing planning to pay for, right? >> I mean, >> yeah, cuz you passed all points to sell, right? You passed the store. So you were obviously going to Were you going to resell it? Were you going to resell it? >> We were trying to do a return. I split at the return line originally. >> Okay. >> That that point has already been passed and it's a felony amount of what he said. Yeah, it's a felony. Anything over 700 uh uh $750 in the state of Florida. It's like $782 total. Okay. What's your first name? >> Alexis. >> Lexus or Alexis? >> In the end, the woman was officially charged with felony grand theft with the stolen goods totaling nearly $800. She received 12 months of probation with the risk of facing years in year in prison if she reaffends. This case remind us young people must remember every wrong choice comes with a heavy price and no excuse can erase a crime. The next woman proved just as bad as she couldn't be honest even in the end. >> That's your last unit supposed to play your hand on me. Yes, they are >> taking >> I just lost. >> On September 6th, 2024, police rushed to a target after reports of a woman stealing a massive hall. At the exit, she walked straight into the consequences of her crime. [Applause] >> Hey, police. How's it going? Put the bags down. >> I didn't do anything. >> Oh, brother. Put your bags down. >> This is everything I came in with. Put your bags. >> I did not do anything. >> I didn't do anything. >> One. Drop your bags, please. >> I didn't do >> That's a safe cord, Joel. Okay, >> just put your back. >> Why are you >> Could you take your backpack off as well? You have to >> That is >> Take your backpack off. >> That is >> Take your backpack off. You're going to go in handcuffs with your backpack on. So >> this is >> it is harassment. >> What do you want to do? Stop. I didn't even do anything. Go away. So, you have >> Is this Is this Is this you guys? >> No. So, the bag she's sitting on is ours. But there is >> No, I came in with all this. >> I'm going to cut this backpack off you. If you don't >> You aren't going to touch. Stop. I'm not even doing anything. I am not doing anything. I am not doing anything. Clearly, the woman refused to accept the outcome and only made things harder. Officers struggled, but eventually managed to get her in handcuffs. >> You are breaking the law. >> This is mine. >> Just stop. Give me your other hand, ma'am. >> I'm good. You're good. If you want. >> I wasn't doing anything. >> Stop resisting. >> I wasn't. >> I was singing all my stuff. >> That's all I was doing. Look, it's your first party. [Music] >> Right after that, police searched through her bags and quickly realized this wasn't the only store she had hit that day. >> I don't think so. She had this water bottle when she was a pink one as well. >> Oh, whichever one she had when she came in. I can tell you it's mine. That's the one she had when she came in. I don't think so. That one's >> all yours. >> Yeah. These are the huskies. The husky stuff I think is probably Home Depot or something. >> Yeah, this is probably all from Home Depot. >> Uh if it's not if it's not yours, I was going to put all your merchandise here >> for a photo. Um >> this is like all this is mine. This is the tag this year. >> Okay. All anything that's not yours I'll take off. >> Are all these? No, we only sell we sell like the the Gerber like >> right now. >> This bag is going to be from wherever this stuff from. >> Could be could be Home Depot. >> Home Depot. >> So yeah, once we sort all the stuff, >> it's either Home Depot or Lowe's. Otherwise, you could just throw it in my car and I could do it tomorrow. This is you. >> Yeah. >> None of this is yours, right? >> None of the Husky branded stuff. What is this yours? >> Uh I can check and see. It's got a tag on it. >> The back uh the backpack isn't. >> No, it came in the purple and the and the bag. >> I searched the black bag. All these tools, these hatchets, all this stuff was in there and he said it's not. >> And the bag's brand new, too. >> The the best guess for the bag would be Home Depot. Can you find any time to exercise? >> Even at this point, she gave no admission. With all the evidence uncovered, nothing she did could change the reality she was facing. >> Determine what you took. Yes, we are. We're >> taking I just watched it. >> They're sorting through everything because there's stolen merchandise in the car. >> There's stolen merchandise in the bags. >> You exit with merchandise you didn't pay for. Not those bags. No. >> They're going to go through all of it. They're going to go through all of it. >> That's [ __ ] >> Okay. >> Stealing. >> Okay. >> And I'm just asking. >> Are you telling me I'm crazy? >> No, I'm asking why you're behaving. >> All in my head. >> No, never said that. >> I'm just trying to figure out why you're behaving the way you are. [Applause] Is there a reason why you're crying the way you are? [Music] >> Yeah, cuz it hurt. >> She was convicted of felony theft and resisting arrest. This case is a stark reminder. Dishonesty and denial never erase the truth. Once caught, refusing to admit fault only deepens the consequences. If you found this story compelling, like, share, and subscribe to This Is Law because the truth always comes to light. And now, here's the most persistent thief ever. >> I don't want to get into any trouble. >> Yeah, we're we're it's too late for that, girl. >> Hey, please don't do this. >> Don't resist. It's not going to go well for you. On May 1st, 2025, police were called to Target after a woman spent 7 hours inside the store and attempted to walk out with thousands of dollars in merchandise. Let's see how the police handled it. >> How are you? >> Hi. >> Thank you. So, this is Annayia. This is the info she gave me. Um, she said she does not have an ID on her. She's been in the store about 7 hours or so. She said she's waiting for someone to pick her up. She's visiting here. >> Okay. >> Hey guys. Um, she said she doesn't live here. She's from India. She's with family. They're coming to pick her up still a few times. Um, so basically she's been in the store. We've been watching for at least 4 hours. She's taken a ton of merchandise, different kinds. We're getting a total right now for you. It'll be well over 500, I'm sure. >> No, it'll be more. >> You're right. >> Um, and she put them all into big three reusable bags. And then she kept getting really close to the door. She'd stand there, she'd send her phone about three times she did that. And then she came back in the store, kept shopping, and then eventually we just stopped her because she passed the first set of doors, went into the vestibule, we stopped her in the vestibule, brought her back here. She's saying that she was still planning to pay for it. Um >> Okay. What do you guys want done? >> We're going to prosecute resell them. Okay. >> And trespass. >> Okay. >> But let me just pay for it and not >> That's not happening. >> When accused by the store, the suspect claimed she only wanted to buy the items and leave, but police firmly told her it was already too late. The investigation became difficult as the suspect was a foreigner. >> So, you don't have any sort of Illinois ID, anything like that? >> I'm not from this country. >> Okay. Well, there's a lot of people who aren't from this country but still have stuff. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you have a middle name? >> No. I can only do is I don't mind paying for it, everything, and then leaving. >> No, that's not happening. >> Can't do that. We lost that opportunity. >> Why don't I just pay for it? >> Yeah, we're we're way way way past that. You committed a felony. >> But if I was paying for it, what was the harm? >> It would have been fine if you didn't leave, right? You would have had that opportunity to pay, but because you left the store at that point, you chose to not pay for it and we can't go back. That already happened. >> So now, how do you order it or what do you do? >> You can't come back to Target. You can go to Walmart or Meer or Kohl's or you're going to have to find a different store to shop. >> You don't have to pull this off. >> Okay. >> Well, >> but again, you made that decision. I'm going to try to run this and see if I can get it to come back. I'm going to step out of here because I know >> I'm a very nice guy. I promise. But this is my job. >> I'm afraid no record for last name of Lani first. I'll check online. You don't have to have like a town or anything, do you? >> Where do you live? >> India. >> Negative. >> Police found no record of the name she gave. Yet the woman stalled with excuses trying to buy time against the charges. Okay. You flew here from India to America. >> Exactly. But the passport is not with me in this bag. >> Do you have a Do you have a picture of it? >> Listen, I don't want to get into any trouble. >> Yeah, we're we're it's too late for that, girl. Pull up your passport. >> No, but then what am I supposed to do? >> That's none of my business. I don't know. You shouldn't have been stealing stuff. >> I've not yet done anything. >> Oh, you have. Pull up your passport. >> For what? What do I do? >> Okay, so you either can pull up your passport now or we're going to take you back to the station and you can pull up your passport there. Please don't. I'm really >> It's really It's too late. Can you please just pull your password? >> He just You promised me that nothing is going to happen. >> I did not promise you. >> Of course. You said that nothing. You'll Once we do this thing, you'll be >> I No, I said as soon as we're done with our reporting, we'll try to get you out of here as soon as we can. >> Yeah. You said you'll just You won't be allowed to. We're not going to fight with him. We're not arguing. >> We're not going to fight with him. >> It's too late. >> So, what do you want me to do? >> I need you to pull up your passport. I need to see a valid identification for you. And then >> and then you will be going back to the station with us. I need to see your identification. >> Please don't take me. >> That's that's simply not going to happen. You don't get to have that choice anymore. >> This woman knew how to test everyone's patience. Police firmly demanded her documents and quickly uncovered the suspect's lies from the very beginning. >> But she one second. He promised me that you can leave it. >> Simply none of my business. That has nothing to do with our job. >> So what do you want me to do? >> Passport, please. Thank you. So what are all those other things that you were just swiping by? >> No, that's all Indian documents. >> So who's what's who's who's Jamisha? >> Me. And this is >> so who is who? So who's Anaya? >> This is my name also. But this is my Jamisha. You can see my picture. >> Okay. >> This is me. >> Okay. So this is So this is not your first name. >> No. >> Okay. That's nice. >> The door open. He came. I returned back. I said I was just waiting. I've not gone away. How would I even run with these bags? It's m humanly impossible. >> Okay, >> they're almost done. They're at about 767. Just ripped a bunch of tags off. So, they're trying to find us right now. >> 767. If it is that much, I don't mind paying you. >> No, we're past that. I don't know what I don't know why you keep saying that over and over again. I told you many times we are past that. >> So, what do you want me to do, man? >> I I told you what I would like you to do. >> It turned out the suspect's real name was Jamisha. The total value of the stolen goods reached $767. Yet, she kept insisting she hadn't had the chance to pay, leaving the officers weary and uninterested in arguing further. >> Oh my god, Annayia, it's the first time I've sat down 4 hours. >> Yeah. >> How are you not tired? >> No. >> You've been walking around for 7 hours. >> I'm not even >> Oh my gosh. >> I'm ready to pay for the merchandise and leave the store. >> No. I don't know how you keep repeating that. I told you no. >> So let me explain this is at 71. You had the stuff. Did you go past the double doors? So >> no, not once only. >> He not even completely. >> Okay. Before I ask you any more questions. Okay. >> I will explain this to you. I'm not asking her back. >> Yep. >> Few times she came up and stopped right here. I think she was seeing if it beeped or not. >> I don't know. And then she went back back in, grabbed more stuff, came back, stood out here, went back. >> And then the last time she went all the way around, came back behind >> did one of those games. >> When you do that, >> did it beat them? >> No. She didn't have anything that would have. So, not take any money from you. >> They don't want any of that. They want you here. That's why we're talking. And we're not going to take any money from them. We're not going to take any money from you. Okay? We have paperwork that we got to do here. And then we have paperwork that we have to do back at the station. >> Take me to the station. Yeah, please. How will I go back? >> They were going to pick me up somewhere from Target. >> Police reviewed the store's surveillance footage and confirmed she had indeed tried to leave but failed. The woman, however, kept pleading and bargaining with the officers as if she were haggling in a market. >> You're starting to frustrate me. >> We've told you a bunch of times that is not an option, so please stop saying that. Have you ever seen her before here? >> No. >> Okay. >> Can we just please? >> Uh, that was her phone number. >> Huh? >> How do we go to the station? >> With us. >> You'll you'll ride in the car with us >> and then be there for how long? >> Until until we get the paperwork done. Sometimes it's maybe an hour. >> How do I What do I tell them? >> You can tell them whatever you want. >> You have to at least be helpful. If I've done run away or something, >> I have to be helpful. >> I'm at least you can be I know yall are being very helpful but I just need to you all to help me if first of all not from this country. If I'm not carrying money or something, it's a different thing. I have money to pay also. >> Okay. >> Can I pay for this and finish it? >> What do you think the answer is going to be? >> I don't know. >> It's going to be no just like it was the other 15 times. >> Let me just let them know that I'll take a while I'm here. >> What? Are you calling family or friend? >> I need to call the family friend that I will take some time to come home. >> Yeah. Yeah. Because they'll be wondering where is she? >> Go ahead. >> That's fine. >> When will I be able to go back home? >> About an hour. He already answered that question. >> Can we then go and finish the procedure? >> Well, I need to wait for the receipt to see how much stuff you stole. >> But don't at least use the word stole. I don't mind paying for it. >> Okay. Nope. Just kidding. We have the receipt. >> The total amount >> or 13 before tax. >> I don't mind paying that. >> Stop. >> Do you want me to hold on until I give you everything else or you want? >> Um, no. I'll take that back with me because I'll have to do the complaint. >> Okay. >> All right. The officers grew impatient as she kept repeating that she could pay and just leave. But the final receipt showed $1,300 worth of stolen goods. It was far too late to negotiate and police chose to take firm action against the stubborn woman. >> So, she brought something into the store. >> That's an empty luggage. >> Trans, please. >> Hey, please. Please don't. Don't. >> Don't resist. It's not going to go well for you. Stop. >> Just stop. We explained it to you. Okay. When you take things without permission, that's a crime. >> But what do I what do I do now? For how long is it going to be? >> Hang on. >> Huh? >> Just hang on. Okay. It's probably going to be one maybe 2 hours. Okay. It depends on how quick the paper process works. >> Please, I'm requesting you. >> See from these are 511. >> But my bag your bag will come. Don't worry. Pull out your bag. >> Do you have the trespass or no? >> I have it all. >> What do I tell the family? I don't I don't know what to tell you. >> Yeah. Do not resist. You're going to catch an extra charge. Don't do that. Just keep walking. >> What charges? >> 6041 641. >> This is yours? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Great. >> Yep. >> It's going to be very embarrassing. Please, man. >> I I understand that it's embarrassing. I wouldn't steal either. It's very It's very embarrassing. >> What do you want me to do now? >> You're going to go to the station and you're going to be processed. >> The woman was handcuffed and escorted out of the store in utter shame. Finally, the suspect, Jamisha, was charged with felony retail theft for stealing $1,300 worth of goods. She faced up to 5 years in prison or a hefty fine under Illinois law. This case shows that once you steal, no excuses or bargaining will save you from the law. Here comes a powerful female doctor who challenged the police. Don't ruin my name. >> Don't ruin your name. >> Yeah. >> On January 1st, 2025, police responded to an active theft involving a woman in medical scrubs. As they approached, they soon realized she was no ordinary suspect. [Music] Hello officer. >> Hello. >> Sorry. >> Hi. >> Um I didn't mean to do this. I can pay this. >> Okay. So, um she has her purse around $300 worth of unaid merch. Now, you just take everything out. Okay. No, I'll pay for it. >> Yeah, check it out. >> All right. No, I was going to give it to my somebody. Okay, I'll pay for it. I promise. >> Right now, it's too late, right, to pay for it. You already tried stealing it. >> No, but I can always pay, right, sir? >> No, you cannot. >> Huh? [Music] >> But I'll pay for it. >> The woman was caught red-handed trying to slip out of the store with unpaid merchandise. When asked to step into the security office, she remained calm and insisted she would pay. >> Do you have any ID on you? >> No, I don't have >> You don't have any identification? >> It's in my car. >> It's in your car? >> Okay. What kind of car do you have? >> A paper. >> What kind of car do you have? >> Just don't ruin my name. >> Huh? >> Just don't ruin my name. >> Don't ruin your name? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I promise. I think >> you ruined your own name. So, I'm going to need your name. Have a seat. Do you have anything on your person that may uh hurt anyone? Like needles, knives? >> No, I don't have anything here. >> Don't Don't Listen, put everything down. I didn't ask you to do that. Take off that jacket for me. Put it over here. Don't go in your pockets. Listen to my instructions. Okay. >> Okay. >> Stand up. Take that jacket off. The woman refused to provide personal information and challenged the officers, making the atmosphere tense. >> Turn, put your hands up. Turn around. >> Okay. Have a seat. >> Have a seat. >> All right. >> Is this your jacket? >> I'm sorry. Yes. >> It's mine, too. >> Is this yours? >> Yeah. >> No, that's mine. >> It's brand new. >> Yeah. >> Stop lying, man. Why you lying? >> No, bro. Or I put it over there in the back. I'll pay for it. >> Those are Ray-B bands. >> Yeah. >> Take a picture of you just for records. >> But there always says like you can pay for it. >> No, not at Target. Only Only at Walmart. Not at Target. Okay. Target is really serious about tamp and all that stuff. >> I know. But there's always saying you can pay for it >> at Walmart. Not in here. No, you cannot pay for it no more. Okay. >> Well, can can I resolve it? >> Um, >> it's new year. >> So, >> please [Music] give me >> um So, okay. >> No, I'm not. So, I don't speak Spanish. >> You speak Spanish? Where are you from? >> Philippines. >> Philippines. Okay. >> Sorry. Listen, I can I can pay for this. I'm professional. >> I'm professional, too. And I got to do my job. >> Somaya. Somaya is your middle name. >> Yeah. Oppo. >> Huh? >> Oppo. >> Yes, sir. It was unbelievable that a nurse could act so irresponsibly. The suspect kept insisting she would pay as if that excused the crime, then started arguing. >> Yeah, I know this stuff. I know that when you do that, you can always pay. So, don't go through too much. It's new year. I'm sorry. >> Please. >> I don't care. >> Please, sir. >> No, just you're staying $300. $300. >> I'll pay for it. >> What is your address? >> Do me a favor. Don't argue with him. >> Okay. >> Okay. Everybody has a job to do, right? >> Okay. >> This is his job is to catch people who steal, right? If the company has an ordinance that they're not going to let anybody go past a certain amount, then that's his job to continue and follow that ordinance. >> Okay? >> It's not yours to dictate whether or not he could let you go or now you want to pay for all the that you took. >> Okay? >> Can I pay for it? Cuz I have to give it to somebody tonight, please. Mhm. >> It's a birthday. >> I still have a patient to go. So, if I can pay for it, I know. >> What? What? What do you do for a living? >> I'm a nurse. >> You're a nurse. A registered nurse or >> I'm a registered nurse. >> Registered nurse. >> Okay. What brings you over here? >> No, I have a patient nearby here in um North Latro. So, I go past >> in North Latro. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I didn't mean to like what I said. I'll pay for it. It's New Year. I know Walmart does that, but I don't. >> How many times have you been arrested for uh retail theft? >> Never. What about theft in general? >> Just first time cuz I'm rushing. >> Okay, let's try this again. How does the name on your license appear? Because you're not coming back with no record. >> Okay, >> we can go to my car. >> What? >> I want to pay this cuz I want to >> Hold on a minute. What? Marip Sumaya. >> Okay. Is the name Sumaya >> middle name? >> Is that spelled out in your license? >> U M A Y N. >> She revealed she was a registered nurse, insisting it was her first time and only because she was in a rush. The officer then requested a copy of the store's surveillance video showing her theft. >> Can you give me a copy of the video and stuff? >> Yes, sir. You have you have a USB? >> Uh, yeah. >> Yeah, I can put it in there. And also, uh, do you have any complaint forms? >> Yes, I do. >> Are they the new ones? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. >> Yes. The same the same way you get the number. the thing. >> When the police checked, the information she provided didn't match. All her excuses were meaningless against the clear evidence, and police decided to arrest her immediately. All right, let's go. >> I'm not running. >> Huh? >> What' you say? >> Very sorry for me. >> You're very sorry for you? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I'm married to a cop. >> You're married to a cop? No, you're not. >> I am. New Hampshire. Start. >> New Hampshire. >> Yeah. >> Where's that? In the the state of New Hampshire. >> Oh, okay. So, he's not a cop anymore. >> No, it used to be US Air Force. >> Huh? >> He used to be US Air Force. >> He used to be reserved. Yeah, >> my son. >> In the end, the woman was charged with felony retail theft, arrested, and later released with a scheduled court date. This case reminds us that even in a noble profession like nursing, a single act of dishonesty can destroy one's reputation, career, and future. >> I don't know what the happened to you. >> We're not trying to hurt you. Nothing like that. >> On October 22nd, 2024, officers in Crystal Lake, Illinois, spotted a car swerving across lanes, riding on two flat tires. Behind the wheel, a heavily intoxicated nanny who had been drinking while supervising children. She was trying to drive them home. What followed was a tense, drawn out confrontation that turned a reckless decision into a serious criminal case. Hey, can I talk to you real quick? Come here. What's up with your rims? And as time went on, her behavior only got more erratic. Oh. >> Oh, hell no. Yo, is this record? >> Do you have your license on you? >> Yo, can you take me home? I have around the corner. >> Here, can I see your license real quick? >> Can you take me home first? >> No, you're not going to go home right now. You're not going to go home. It' be easier. >> No, I don't. I have nothing to say. I don't >> get out of the vehicle. Get out of the vehicle. I'm going to take you out of the vehicle. There we go. Let's go up in front of the vehicle right here. >> We'll pick that up. >> Go in front. >> Actually, if you want to pick it up, you can. I'm sorry. >> You can pick it up if you can pick it on. Pick it up, ma'am. You can pick it up. I'm just standing back from you cuz you wanted to pick it up. >> Honestly, the officers were as polite and kind as could be, but it looked like their kindness was wasted on her. She wasn't going to play nice. Not by a long shot. >> The front. What are you doing? Are you just not smart? Get out of the car. >> Get out of the car. Go up here in front of the vehicle. You got her ID. >> Yeah, >> I got her. >> Where's that plate come back out of? >> I'm not sure. >> What are you doing? >> Just stay here. >> Where are you going? Okay, >> ma'am. >> You need to relax. >> Have you ever heard the meme? >> You're extremely intoxicated and you're operating a motor vehicle on a state highway this state and you have two flat tires. You could have killed yourself or somebody else. >> Why do you think I pulled over >> after you hit a curb? after you struck a curb and you can't drive anymore because your car is throwing sparks out the side of it. >> Call my husband. >> Okay, we we just figure this out. >> Ma'am, let's go over here by the front of my car. Over here. >> At this point, she seemed completely hysterical. But don't let the tears fool you. Her true colors were about to show. >> Ma'am, come over here. I'm not letting go of your jacket cuz you keep trying to run off and I'm not going to play that game. >> You just did like twice try to do it over here by the front of my car. >> Yeah, that's called You >> don't you do that again and wear your arm back at me like you're going to hit me, we're going to have a real problem. Do you understand me? Do you understand? I'm not the one who operated a Cadillac SUV on a state highway in this state and it hit a curb and could have killed yourself or somebody else cuz you're intoxicated. Not my problem. Do you understand me? If you pull your arm back like that on me again, I will charge you. Do you understand? Let's go over here by the front of my car. No, never mind. Put your hands on your back. Put her in handcuffs. >> Oh, I got it. All right. Just get a handcuff on her. Beas, hold her arm, Sie. Get a handcuff. >> Oh god. >> Get one on her. Get on her. We got her. Just take deep breaths. In fact, her aggression and screaming only escalated as time went on. >> Let me go. >> Let me go. >> I hate you. >> I know. >> Let me go, >> ma'am. The reason, >> ma'am, the reason why you're not being let go is because you've already assaulted both of us. >> Shut up. You're a human. Get the off me. I want you have her arm >> and I just want you to hold her arm and keep her body down and go because she's going to kick Soie or she's going to spit on you. So, keep her head. >> Keep things from spiraling further. Officers had to go a step further. They cuffed her legs, too. [Applause] Stop moving. >> You're pushing my head in the ground. >> Ma'am, look. You're all on body camera. That head, your head's nowhere near the ground. You're lifting on your own. >> Yeah, cuz even that >> we told you you would need to stop resisting. >> You kicked us. You spit on us. >> Oh, I was so horrible. Well, if you would just cooperate and get in the back of the car, we wouldn't even be on the ground. >> Home. >> You're not going. We're beyond that point. We got a We got a thing coming to call the wrap and we're going to put you in that wrap to where you're immobilized and you cannot move. >> Ellie, put me in the car. Look, if we get you up on your feet, will you get in the back of the squad car? >> I'll do anything to say, please. >> She said one thing, but what she did next was the complete opposite. And honestly, it was downright insane. She even tried to bribe the officers just to get her freedom. >> You I'll pay you five five grand each. I swear to God. >> I don't want your money. >> Yeah, you can do the car. >> Yeah, you can do it. I live on 30. >> I'm pleased to talk with my husband. >> Double double. Yeah, double lock. If that wasn't enough crazy for you, meet the next woman. Her unhinged performance will leave you absolutely stunned. >> Not screaming and whistle on the ground. >> On April 1st, 2023, officers responded to reports of two women caught in a heated argument that quickly turned physical. But once police arrived on the scene, things took an unexpected turn. >> Hello. How we doing, folks? Are you all with the young lady up here, Ivy? >> Are you guys with Ivy? >> It's our sister. Talking to her and letting her know as the older sister that I'm there, no matter what she believes, no matter how she takes it, I'm her older sister. What was the argument over? >> The argument was over me being her older sister and some being there regardless of who's not. Hang tight for me. I'll be back in a minute. >> Which car do you want?
