I thank you all for being here I mean everybody's away from their family this is going to be pretty nasty uh according to the last update from 2p to 2A is when we're going to get hit the most 21 inches of rain uh they're looking at winds you know up there in the 70s and 80s uh so the number one important thing is you got to be safe we can't help anybody if we decide to put ourselves out there and get hurt I'm very proud of you guys you are truly the last line of defense if something happens no one else is going to be out there on the road but that's the honor to be a deputy sheriff and go out there and take care of business we're not going to let anybody get hurt so thank you all yeah anybody stuck in an area that flash floods or starts having Rising water where they no longer feel comfortable their vehicle might be flooded surrounded by quick moving water or waste or had high water they have small children stuff like that and they just no longer want to be there and they call us for Evac that's what those vehicles are primarily for for but there are going to be situations say there's still a live power line arcing in the water we're not getting out of those vehicles that we can't help anybody and if we encourage the public or they see us and we don't communicate that it's not safe for anybody to move we could potentially have somebody jump off a roof or off a trailer and into water that's electrified so they have to be able to also at some point say where we're at is where we need to be and we'll move forward when it's safe to do so it's a hard decision to make but you dying trying to get them out doesn't save them and it doesn't save you and then you're no longer available your training and experience and equipment to go help other people [Music]
