to the sh callit one of the victim is in the house the other is on Main Street Wednesday night at around 10:30 p.m. on Christmas Road in Pearson we received a call for multiple people shot inside of a vehic deputies arrived there they found the driver of the vehicle was deceased from multiple gunshot wounds the passenger in the vehicle had been struck in the leg and the passenger rear P had fled investigation and some help from the family member MERS of our suspects we were able to ascertain that the people in the car were going to make a drug transaction for a quarter pound of weed with a 17-year-old female her 15-year-old brother and a 15-year-old friend somehow or somewhere during that transaction they decided to try to rob the people in the car shots rang out our suspects then fled based on all that information we were able to make an arrest yesterday of a 17-year-old female we cover two firearms that we believe were used in that shooting uh there's a bunch of forensics that need to be done uh DNA there's a whole bunch of other stuff that determine where the Firearms came from so the investigation is ongoing the message can't be clearer to teenagers the law has changed if you get caught with a gun if you get caught using a gun you're going to face adult sanctions you will have destroyed your your adolescence years and you will destroy your adult years so as the school year begins I'm imploring you put the guns down do not be buying guns online do not be toing guns or twirling guns we had an incident in Port Orange teenagers playing Guns playing with a gun one's paralyzed we have zero tolerance and to anybody who's thinking we're going to have retaliation in Pearson that's not going to happen because starting this afternoon you are going to see that area flooded with deputies we are going to be enforcing traffic laws we are going to be going after folks that have warrants we're going to be after going after juveniles who are also on curfew checks you're going to see a massive police presence up there as we begin the school year so we're not going to tolerate Foolery people are going to get locked up and we're going to hold people accountable
