Stop the car. >> Oh, he's got a gun. HE'S GOT [screaming] A GUN. >> HEY ADRENALINE JUNKIES, WELCOME TO Police Chase. Today we're kicking off a brand new series when people messed with the wrong cop where every dumb move instantly triggers justice mode. All right, let's dive in. >> Drop the [ __ ] knife. >> [screaming] >> STOP THE [ __ ] [screaming] CAR. STOP THE [ __ ] CAR, MAN. >> ON MARCH 5TH, 2021 at around 1:00 p.m. in Carroll, Iowa, USA, Carroll police officer Patrick McCarty spotted 29-year-old Dennis Geider Jr. sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle at a restaurant drive-thru. Officers were there because Geider was wanted in Illinois for violating parole in an earlier burglary and fraud case. >> How's it going, guys? Hey, Dennis. Hey, um hate to be the one to tell you this, but it sounds like you got a warrant out there in Illinois. Okay. You have anything on you? Why don't you step out of the car until we can identify you? You got anything on your person, man? >> When Officer McCarty asked Geider to step out of the vehicle, everything seemed routine at first. But about a minute later, Geider opened the driver's door and pushed the woman who had been driving out of the car. He then refused further commands and suddenly accelerated away. >> STOP THE CAR, MAN. STOP THE CAR. STOP THE CAR. STOP THE [ __ ] CAR. STOP THE [ __ ] CAR. STOP THE [ __ ] CAR. STOP IT. >> [screaming] >> STOP THE CAR. STOP THE CAR. >> AS THE VEHICLE sped away, officer McCardy ended up on the hood of the moving car. Authority said Guider reached speeds of up to 60 mph while the officer was still on the vehicle. For those few tense moments, [music] there was almost no time to think, only time to react. The vehicle then struck a culvert sending the officer off the car. >> [screaming] >> After the incident, officer McCardy was found to have suffered a fractured vertebra. He was treated [music] at St. Anthony Regional Hospital and released later that same day. Guider abandoned the vehicle and was eventually located in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He was sentenced to up to 5 years in prison separate from his Illinois sentence. What began as a routine police encounter had changed in seconds, reminding us how quickly one decision can set an entirely different chain of events in motion. >> I'm okay, MAN. GO GET HIM. >> I'm all right. >> STOP THE >> OH, HE'S GOT A GUN! HE'S GOT A GUN! >> GUN! >> ON MAY 9TH, 2023, at around 3:00 a.m. in Bowie in Jefferson County, Illinois, USA, an Illinois State Police Trooper stopped on Interstate 64 Eastbound near mile post 72 to assist a stranded vehicle. Inside were 23-year-old Brandon Griffin and 31-year-old Christine Santos. A second Trooper soon arrived to provide assistance. >> It It adds. >> No, moving Yeah, moving forward >> It's Not all cops are bad. Right? I've been very co- I It's okay. >> Now, you think nothing of it. And I have a I have a herniated disc. I mean, I kind of just >> Let me go check you real quick, Brandon. >> While the officers were assisting the occupants, a confrontation suddenly developed. What began as a routine roadside assistance call quickly became a tense situation, leaving the officers with only moments [music] to assess what was happening and respond. >> All right. >> Hey Brandon. >> Hey, how you doing? >> All right. I'm going to have you turn around [music] for a minute. All right. Turn. No. Brandon. >> in cuffs. >> Brandon, we're not doing this. >> I'm not going to listen [music] to you. >> Brandon. >> We're done. >> I'm not going in cuffs. >> Hey Brandon. >> We're done. >> Stop. Stop. >> Brandon, stop. >> Stop. >> If you don't stop, I'm adding charges to you. >> me with resisting arrest. >> to get extra charges. >> Stop. Stop. >> All right, Brandon, we're done. We're done. >> Get your hands >> Stop. >> Brandon. >> Stop. >> Christine, stay out of the car. >> Do it. >> Christine, stay out of the >> What are you doing? What are you doing? >> Christine, stay out of the car. >> me. We have bear spray. >> Christine. >> During the confrontation, an exchange of gunfire occurred between Griffin [music] and one of the responding officers. A 16-year veteran of the Illinois State Police was seriously injured, although the injuries were reported as non-life threatening. The scene immediately became a high-risk situation requiring a [music] rapid police response. >> No, you're not, Christine. >> We are going to die. They're trying to kill us. They tried to kill us in there. >> Do you call an X? >> Please don't. Please. >> Do you call an X 83? Send additional >> Please don't. You're going to have to bear spray me. >> Stop. Stop. Christine, get out of that car. To deal with her. Christine, back up. >> I was in the military. You're going to have to shoot me. I'M NOT [ __ ] GOING. >> STOP DOING >> HEY. >> GET HIM. >> ON THE GROUND. [screaming] >> STAY IN THE CAR. >> GET OUT OF THE >> CHRISSY, GET BACK. >> DON'T CUFF HIM. >> CHRISSY, GET BACK. >> STOP THERE. >> OH, HE'S GOT A GUN. HE'S GOT A GUN. >> [screaming] >> BACK. >> AFTER THE INCIDENT, THE INJURED OFFICER was transported to a regional hospital for treatment. [music] The other trooper and the female passenger were not injured. Eastbound Interstate 64 [music] was temporarily closed while investigators documented the scene before traffic was gradually restored. [music] What started as a simple roadside assistance call had changed in moments, reminding us that even [music] routine police encounters can take an unexpected turn. >> Get back by my car. >> Good. >> On May 1st, 2023, at around 11:38 a.m. in Fairfax, Virginia, USA, a patrol officer was conducting a routine traffic stop on Fairfax County Parkway near Braddock Road. At the same time, a 17-year-old driver in a black 2018 BMW M3 was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. Then, in just a matter of seconds, the young driver lost control of the BMW. The vehicle spun across the roadway, crossed the median, and struck another vehicle before continuing toward the officer's patrol car. What had been a routine traffic stop suddenly became a dangerous and unpredictable situation. As the BMW crossed the roadway, the officer was nearly struck. There was barely any time to react as the collision unfolded around the traffic stop. For a moment, everything came down to instinct, awareness, and quick reactions. After the crash, the adult driver of the gray A BMW 750 series was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and later released. The officer also sustained minor injuries, while the 17-year-old driver and two passengers in the BMW M3 were also reported to have minor injuries. The juvenile driver was charged with reckless driving. A routine traffic stop had turned into a sudden reminder that on the road, one moment of losing control can affect far more people than the person behind the wheel. On April 12th, 2023, at around 12:30 a.m. in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, police received a call about a possible kidnapping and break-in at a home near Hodges Boulevard. A woman had reportedly contacted a friend saying she could not leave the house and that a man known to her was threatening her with a knife. Officers arrived and focused first on getting the woman to safety. She was eventually able to leave through a bathroom window, but the situation was not over. Around 5:00 a.m., SWAT officers arrived in the Bentwater neighborhood and used a loudspeaker repeatedly asking 38-year-old Matt V. Klimenkodo to come outside. According to police, Klimenkodo continued resisting and appeared to still have a knife. He then moved through several nearby homes as officers attempted to stop him. Canine Zeke was deployed to assist. When Klimenkodo appeared to move toward the dog while holding the weapon, officers immediately responded. >> He's running. >> He's running. >> DROP THE [ __ ] KNIFE! DROP THE [ __ ] KNIFE! >> POLICE SAID he was a convicted felon and had several outstanding warrants connected to the woman. Authorities also reported previous calls involving conflicts between the two dating back to December 2022. [music] For the officers, the priority throughout the night was protecting those inside the home and bringing the situation [music] under control. What began with a desperate call for help ended as a reminder of how quickly a dangerous situation can spiral beyond anyone's expectations. >> [screaming] >> One moment, please. >> On March 10th, 2026 at around 10:00 cops on March 10th, 2026 at around 10:00 >> At first, it appeared to be a routine traffic stop, but within moments the situation took a very different turn. >> New York Road, the pedestrian crossing is out. Junction of the traffic lights on Red Stand Road is through a red light at a pretty high risk. Now Bedford Road out >> Instead of stopping, Nwonze accelerated away leading officers through Chine Walk and Bedford Road before reaching the A45. During the pursuit, he reportedly ran several red lights and reached around 70 mph in 40 mph zones. Once on the dual carriageway, his speed climbed above 100 mph. >> His speed well above 70. Being a risk at the moment through the traffic lights and lights and over the pedestrians. And it's under Thank you. It's undertaken a slower moving vehicle. However, it's got a box >> Then near the Willerby Way roundabout, the traffic ahead came to a standstill. with fewer options to escape, Nwanze attempted to push through the congestion and collided with several vehicles. Officers continued to close in, and eventually the suspect vehicle became boxed in. At that point, the chase was over. Officers arrested Nwanze, who was later charged with dangerous driving, driving otherwise than in accordance with a license, driving without insurance, and failing to stop for police. He pleaded guilty at Northampton Crown Court and was [music] sentenced to 13 months in prison. What began with a simple insurance issue quickly became a high-risk pursuit, showing how one decision to keep driving can create consequences far greater than the problem that started it. On May 29th, 2026, at around late evening in Rushyford, Durham, England, UK, officers from the Durham Roads and Armed Policing Unit were alerted to a suspected stolen Audi S5 approaching the area. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the 17-year-old driver refused to pull over and accelerated away. It is Not one, not one, not two, not two. Taking the third. >> The pursuit quickly intensified. The Audi reportedly reached speeds of more than 140 miles per hour, while the driver was also seen taking some roundabouts on the wrong side of the road with traffic and other road users nearby. Officers had to remain focused and coordinate their response carefully. >> Bryson, we're not going to make Finwood. Trying corner of Walk Meadow Bridge. >> Yes, yes, trying corner of Meadow Bridge. Yeah, we're into Ferryhill. We are 140s. >> Yes, yes. >> He's behind us now. >> Take it off, bring it [music] down. Keep going, keep going, keep going. Yeah, he's managed to break through. We've got smoke from the front offside of his wheel. Speed's still at 90. >> Then came the turning point. Through clear communication between officers, a stinger device was deployed, reducing the vehicle's ability to continue. Just moments later, police vehicles boxed the Audi in and brought it to a controlled stop. The 17-year-old driver was taken into custody. >> We're now in front of him. We're in front of him. We're getting away and we're getting tightened up. >> He's on the brakes. >> During the subsequent search, officers reportedly found multiple sets of vehicle keys, including keys associated with Ford, Mercedes, BMW, and Audi vehicles, with some appearing to have house keys attached. The teenager later pleaded guilty to offenses including dangerous driving and burglary and was remanded in custody awaiting sentencing. A pursuit that reached extraordinary [music] speeds was brought to an end through coordination rather than continued escalation. A reminder that when every second matters, clear communication can make all the difference. >> Uh And then that'll be that one. Oh, no, there's another Audi >> And then another Audi key. All look like there's house keys attached. >> On July 14th, 2025, at around midday in Sebastian, Florida, USA, deputies were alerted that Sebastian police had attempted to stop a silver Lexus SUV, but the driver refused to pull over. The driver was identified as Steven Saltysiak, who authorities said had an active felony warrant. >> Hey, he's trying to back out. He's attempting to flee right now. >> Can I have my units to the causeway? >> 1104, that's 10-4. Is that the Wabasso causeway? >> Deputies later located the Lexus near Wabasso causeway. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle again, Saltysiak immediately accelerated away, maneuvering around two patrol cars before speeding across the causeway. Officers followed as the Lexus continued westbound and then northbound. >> 1104, I do have an opportunity to pit once we get off the bridge. 1104, I copy. So far, road conditions, light traffic. 1470, 10-12. >> The pursuit continued at speeds of approximately 70 miles per hour. Officers attempted a controlled intervention, but the Lexus kept moving. >> Hit not successful. He's attempting to flee again. Started his vehicle. 114 copy. We're coming up to the vehicle. Coming up to the 9000 white vehicle. It's in maintenance lane. Speed's approximately 70 miles an hour. >> Eventually, police managed to bring the vehicle to a stop and initiated a high-risk traffic stop, ordering Salty Sick to step out with his hands visible. For a moment, officers also had to account for a dog inside the vehicle. >> KEEP YOUR HANDS UP! >> HANDS UP! HANDS UP! >> KEEP YOUR HANDS UP! >> HEY, SLOW DOWN. SLOW DOWN. >> After several tense moments, Salty Sick eventually followed the officer's instructions and was taken into custody. He was later checked for minor cuts while officers discussed the next steps for transporting him. What began with an attempt to avoid a traffic stop had turned into a much more serious encounter, reminding us that choosing to flee rarely makes the original problem disappear. It often makes the consequences much heavier. >> Give me at least leave something in here, at least leave something in here, please. >> [screaming] >> On August 3rd, 2026 at around 10:39 a.m. in Arkansas, USA, Officer V. Orton was dispatched to 1011 W. Main Street following a report of a disturbance involving an 18-wheeler and another vehicle. The truck driver told officers that a woman, later identified as Aliya Burton, had tried to make him stop before pulling alongside his truck and confronting him. >> 32328 >> Go ahead. >> 4 King George 33 Charles on a >> Is this her? HEY. PULL PULL UP HERE. Pull up here. Pull up here. >> Officers attempted to calm the situation and keep traffic moving. Officer Dunlap instructed Burton to move her vehicle ahead, but according to the report, she became increasingly agitated. Officers then asked her to step out of the vehicle. What had started as a roadside dispute was quickly becoming much harder to control. >> Come over here. Come over here. Get off the phone. >> What what is >> Get off the phone. Get off the phone or I'm going to put you in handcuffs. >> What am I doing? >> I'm Get off THE ARE YOU ARE YOU on the phone still? >> NO, I'M NOT ON THE PHONE. >> THEN GET GOOD. >> CAN I TALK TO YOU, PLEASE? CAN I CAN'T TALK TO YOU. DON'T TOUCH ME. STOP! I DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING. >> ARE YOU SERIOUS, ALIYA? >> STOP! STOP! I DIDN'T DO >> [screaming] >> ANYTHING. >> YOU HIT ME TWICE. >> AS OFFICERS attempted to place Burton in handcuffs, the situation escalated. According to the report, Burton struck Officer Dunlap on the side of the head. Officers continued trying to gain control, and even after she was restrained, she reportedly managed to free one hand before officers secured her again. In moments like this, officers have to stay focused while trying to bring the situation under control as safely as possible. >> I'm trying to. >> 349 1015 Get in THE CAR. GET IN THE CAR. >> GET IN THE CAR. GET IN THE OW! >> GET IN THE CAR. >> OW! >> GET IN THE CAR. >> OW! >> GET IN THE CAR. >> I CAN'T SEE. >> GET IN THE CAR OR I'M GOING to put you in the car. >> CAN YOU HOLD ON? I CAN'T WHY ARE YOU ALL BEING SO AGGRESSIVE? >> GET IN THE CAR. >> CAN I TALK TO YOU ALL? >> GET IN THE CAR. >> OW! I'M JUST TRYING TO TALK TO YOU. ARE YOU [ __ ] KIDDING ME? >> Get in the car. >> MA'AM, CAN I JUST TALK to you? I WAS TRYING TO TALK TO HIM AND HE GOT MAD AT ME. I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET HIM TO GET BACK. >> OKAY. >> AFTER Burton was secured in the patrol vehicle, officers conducted an inventory search of her vehicle. During that process, Officer Dunlap reportedly found a bag containing a green leafy substance. Burton was then taken into custody while officers continued documenting the incident. What began as a roadside disagreement had turned into [music] an arrest, reminding us how quickly emotions can change the direction of an ordinary encounter and why staying calm can sometimes prevent a situation from GOING MUCH FURTHER. >> [screaming] >> ON JULY 26TH, 2026 in Thurston County, Washington, USA, deputies and Yelm police responded to reports that a domestic violence suspect was violating a no contact order. The suspect had previously been arrested on multiple charges, posted a $75,000 bail, then failed to appear in court while allegedly making threats toward law enforcement. Authorities believed he could be armed. >> Having a female officer during this stop. That's why we need a medium priority at this point. Medium traffic. 24 >> When deputies attempted a traffic stop, the suspect sped away on a motorcycle, leading officers on a pursuit at speeds exceeding 120 mph. As the chase headed back toward the more populated area of Yelm, deputies worked together to safely bring it under control before more people were placed at risk. >> Now, I'm stopped on to a James Block on Vail Road. >> A deputy moved ahead of the motorcycle and gradually boxed the rider in. The suspect tried to escape by riding through a roadside ditch, but lost [music] control and crashed. Within moments, deputies secured the scene and took him into custody. The suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment before being booked on multiple allegations, including violating a court order, attempting to elude law enforcement, and outstanding warrants linked to earlier domestic violence and burglary-related cases. The incident highlights the importance of coordinated police work in protecting the public from high-risk pursuits. At approximately 10:30 p.m. on June 30th, 2022 in Coweta County, Georgia, USA, a state trooper spotted a red Hyundai Elantra speeding along Interstate 85 South. After the driver ignored warning lights, the trooper initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle accelerated away instead. The driver crossed medians, entered the wrong side of the road, and continued driving recklessly through several roads. Another trooper joined the pursuit while officers carefully coordinated their movements to reduce the risk to other drivers. >> Careful, start getting ahead. Careful, start getting ahead. 300 100. Back pursuit speed road. Back pursuit speed. >> After an initial PIT maneuver failed, a second attempt successfully brought the vehicle to a stop. The driver then ran into a wooded area, but troopers gave chase and safely took him into custody after repeated commands to stop. EMS evaluated the suspect at the scene before he was transported to a hospital for medical clearance and later booked into the Coweta County Sheriff's Office. The incident shows how coordinated teamwork and patience can safely resolve even the most dangerous pursuits. >> [music] >> At approximately 7:20 p.m. on February 19th, 2024 in Bryant, Arkansas, USA, officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a man and a woman inside a pickup truck. As police arrived, the woman safely stepped out, but the driver refused to stop. >> South service road going underneath 183. Very minimal traffic on the south service road. Speed limit 40 at the moment. We're going on the loop now. >> [screaming] >> Pull over. >> [cheering] [screaming] >> He just dumped something out the window right here. Try and check what's on the loop. He threw something out on the loop. I'll advise now. We're basically going south on 183. >> The suspect sped through several jurisdictions, prompting a coordinated response from multiple law enforcement agencies. As traffic continued around them, officers remained focused on ending the pursuit before anyone else was placed in danger. >> Still on the south service road. Passing the 123. You missed the old US natural. Now I can still call it. 168 miles an hour. Traffic is moving. >> I I'll see you I'll see your trooper. >> Arkansas State Police eventually carried out a well-timed PIT maneuver, bringing the truck to a safe stop. Officers quickly secured the scene and took the driver into custody without further escalation. >> [screaming] >> Investigators later found the suspect wearing body armor and carrying empty holsters. Fortunately, [music] no one was injured. The incident is another reminder that remaining calm and complying with lawful commands can prevent a dangerous situation from becoming even worse. >> I know. Oh, dude. >> Whoever the trooper was was on him too quick. >> At approximately 4:30 p.m. on June 10th, 2024, in Scott County, Arkansas, USA, a state trooper spotted a gray Kia passing vehicles across a double yellow line and driving recklessly along Highway 253. When the trooper activated emergency lights and sirens, the driver chose to flee. The pursuit continued for several miles as the driver ignored traffic laws and created a serious risk for everyone nearby. Waiting for the right opportunity, troopers remained patient knowing that timing could make all the difference. Once traffic cleared, a trooper carried out a tactical vehicle intervention forcing the Kia safely off the roadway. Officers quickly secured the vehicle and took both the driver, Hargitt, and passenger, Wilson, into custody without further resistance. A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected methamphetamine, used syringes, and additional suspected drugs hidden by the passenger. A civilian driver involved in a minor collision during the pursuit was taken to a hospital for evaluation. The case serves as another reminder that reckless decisions on the road can place many innocent people at risk. On September 3rd, 2025 in Bay County, Florida, USA, dispatchers received multiple 911 calls reporting an armed man walking along Webber Road near Highway 231 and behaving erratically, causing concern among nearby residents. Deputies quickly located 45-year-old Justin Chandler Smith, who was carrying a handgun and a magazine-fed shotgun. As officers attempted to speak with him and de-escalate the situation, Smith became increasingly confrontational and refused to follow instructions. >> Put it down. >> You got a gun. You got two of them. >> I know. And you got two of them. >> want mine? Why you want this one? >> Mr. Smith, what started as an attempt at communication suddenly turned into a rapidly unfolding crisis. Officers repeatedly instructed Smith not to reach for his weapon, but within moments a dangerous confrontation developed forcing deputies to make split-second decisions to protect themselves and the surrounding community. >> DOWN. PUT IT DOWN. >> BAY, SHOTS FIRED. >> DROP THE GUN. >> I NEED CODE THREE NOW. I GOT SHOTS FIRED. BAY, SHOTS FIRED. One subject down. >> Once the scene was secured, deputies immediately began providing emergency aid while additional units and paramedics responded. Investigators later determined that multiple rounds struck the patrol vehicle during the incident. Fortunately, no deputies or uninvolved members of the public were harmed. The case serves as a reminder of how quickly routine contacts can escalate when weapons are involved and how critical calm judgment becomes in high-risk encounters. On January 9th, 2026 at approximately 10:29 a.m. in Lee County, Florida, USA, Florida Highway Patrol troopers were alerted to an active pursuit involving a stolen black Hyundai Kona traveling northbound on Interstate 75. >> A trooper positioned near mile marker 133 soon spotted the vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed. As emergency lights and sirens were activated, the driver immediately accelerated, reaching speeds well over 100 mph while weaving through traffic. Despite repeated orders to pull over, the driver continued fleeing, even using the shoulder to pass other vehicles. As traffic became heavier and the danger to the public increased, multiple patrol units coordinated efforts to safely bring the pursuit to an end. The tension peaked when the suspect vehicle collided with a patrol car while attempting to escape another intervention attempt. >> Take out the vehicle. At the 149 mile marker 149. Right hand lane, slower than speed traveling per camera view. >> The vehicle was eventually pinned and the driver, identified as Michael Lawrence Sink, was taken into custody without further incident. Four vehicles sustained damage during the pursuit, including several patrol units and the stolen Hyundai. Authorities later filed multiple charges related to fleeing law enforcement and reckless driving. Looking back, this case highlights how one decision to run can place countless lives at risk and leave a trail of consequences that extend far beyond a single moment on the road. >> I like my fourth, fifth, and eighth amendment rights. >> Okay. So, let me take that as a note, okay? >> Before I give you my first amendment right. >> On March 23rd, 2023, in Union, Missouri, USA, Trooper Chastain initiated a traffic stop on a Ford Taurus for registration and seatbelt-related violations near East Main Street and MO-47. At first, the encounter appeared to be a routine traffic stop, but within moments, it would develop into a dangerous pursuit stretching across multiple highways. >> Hands on you? >> No. >> Okay. All right, come right here. Put your cell screen on, man. Hey. You are not going in there. Hey, can you give me that phone? >> What's that? I'm not going to answer that. >> All right, come back here. >> After pulling over, the driver exited the vehicle and briefly attempted to enter a nearby gas station. When officers tried to continue the stop, the driver suddenly attempted to get back into the car and resisted commands. A physical struggle followed as officers worked to maintain control of the situation. >> Take five, team one. line. >> 652 here. >> The situation escalated when the driver managed to start the vehicle and flee while officers were still nearby. A pursuit followed through Union onto US 50 southbound on MO 47 and eventually westbound on Interstate 44 where speeds reportedly exceeded 100 mph. >> 652 Franklin County is wanting you to back off a little bit. Taking nice smoke from I understood that sure if you can find I can see the vehicle I'm on I'm on I got eyes on you. >> Tire deflation devices were successfully deployed, but the vehicle continued traveling on damaged tires before leaving the roadway near an exit ramp. Both the driver and passenger then ran from the vehicle leading officers into a foot chase. >> Clear taking the next exit. 652 direction of travel. >> Subject just ran off the green median into the grass at the exit ramp to 230. Subject we got that he's about to bail. >> Clear on that. >> Officers eventually located and detained the driver after a brief foot pursuit. During the investigation, authorities reported that he had provided multiple false identities and later admitted to using several substances. The suspect ultimately faced numerous felony, misdemeanor, and traffic-related charges, including assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, controlled substance possession, and impaired driving offenses. Looking back, the incident highlights how a routine traffic stop can change dramatically when poor decisions continue to build upon one another, creating greater risks for everyone involved. On November 8th, 2024, in Independence, Missouri, USA, officers attempted to stop a driver after the vehicle nearly collided with a police unit and failed to comply with a traffic stop. What began as a routine enforcement action quickly escalated into a dangerous pursuit that would span highways and city streets at extreme speeds. >> [music] >> Instead of pulling over, the driver accelerated away from officers, leading them onto Interstate 70, Interstate 435, and several local roads. As the pursuit continued, speeds reportedly exceeded 110 mph. With every mile traveled, the risk to other motorists increased, forcing officers to carefully balance public safety with the need to bring the incident to a safe conclusion. >> Going for us is coming traffic. We're in and out of traffic now. We're going past number four right here. Heavy traffic. >> After an extended [music] pursuit, the driver eventually lost control and the vehicle spun out, bringing the chase to an abrupt end. Officers quickly moved in and secured the scene before taking the suspect into custody. What had started as a simple traffic stop had transformed [music] into a high-risk incident involving multiple jurisdictions and significant danger on public roadways. >> Do your hands. Driver. DRIVER. DRIVER. >> [screaming] >> CRAWL CRAWL TO ME NOW. CRAWL TO ME. DO IT NOW. CRAWL TO ME. DO IT NOW. CRAWL TO ME. DO IT NOW. >> I'M DOING IT, SIR. >> FASTER. >> IT, SIR. >> HURRY UP. >> Investigators later reported that the driver was wanted for a felony probation violation and was also operating the vehicle with a revoked license. The suspect was transported into custody and faced additional legal consequences related to the pursuit. Looking back, the incident serves as a reminder that attempting to avoid a traffic stop often creates far greater problems than the original violation while placing countless lives at risk along the way. >> Stop. Stop resisting. >> YEAH, YOU ARE RESISTING. >> I SAID DON'T TENSE UP. >> ALL RIGHT. >> All right. >> Damn it. Stop resisting. >> I'm not resisting. >> STOP RESISTING. CATCH IT UP YOUR ARM. >> I'M NOT RESISTING. >> On February 6th, 2024 in Sebring, Florida, USA, a deputy on routine patrol spotted a vehicle near Sparta Road and Cow Ranch Road. The moment the deputy turned around to investigate, the driver accelerated away at an alarming speed. Emergency lights and sirens were activated, but the driver continued fleeing along Sparta Road before reaching State Road 66. During the pursuit, the vehicle exceeded 130 mph, repeatedly passed other vehicles in dangerous conditions, and came close to causing several serious collisions. >> He's barely in control of vehicle. He's almost to the AV. >> [clears throat] >> I need another unit up here with me. >> As the chase crossed into Hardee County, the suspect lost control during a sharp turn, but quickly continued fleeing. The situation reached its peak when the driver intentionally rammed a marked patrol vehicle, damaging the cruiser and injuring a deputy. Even then, the suspect continued attempting to escape, forcing officers to take decisive action to stop the vehicle before anyone else was harmed. >> 33 did not hit that car. >> 33 traffic, got to stop. >> The vehicle was eventually disabled and the driver, identified as Jaquan Sallvalis Hall, was taken into custody. Investigators later determined he had fled from a marked patrol unit, driven recklessly at extreme speeds, struck a law enforcement vehicle, and operated the vehicle without a valid license. The incident serves as a powerful reminder that one reckless decision behind the wheel can rapidly escalate into a situation that endangers officers, motorists, and the driver alike. >> I was I was free right now. >> Okay. You all okay? Deputy okay? >> On June 3rd, 2026, at approximately 2:39 p.m. in Conway, Arkansas, USA, Trooper Tyler Riles observed a gray SUV traveling recklessly on US Highway 65, weaving through traffic and reaching speeds far above the posted limit. >> Highway 65, dangerous guy, Arkansas, 5.3, Union Nora Union, 5.3, U N U on the gray Mitsubishi Outlander. >> 242 >> After recording the vehicle traveling at 86 mph in a 55 mph zone, the trooper turned around and activated his emergency lights and siren. Although the driver, later identified as Leah the 50th Taylor, appeared to notice the patrol vehicle, she continued driving and ignored repeated instructions to pull over. >> HEY! PULL OVER. >> ALL RIGHT, SHE STILL FAILING TO YIELD. I pulled up beside her, yelled at her on the PA. Yelling at her. >> 10-4 244. >> 677 she is. >> As the pursuit entered Conway, the danger increased. Taylor drove through a red light, changed lanes unpredictably, crossed a concrete median, and briefly entered oncoming traffic while continuing to evade law enforcement. With nearby motorists at risk and only seconds to react, troopers were forced to end the pursuit before the situation became even more dangerous. >> 10-4. >> PD out on it. >> PD out 246. They yellowed on me on 25 85. >> The pursuit ended after a successful tactical intervention, and Taylor was taken into custody without further incident.
