[screaming] Drop the gun. Drop the gun. >> Hey, adrenaline junkies. Welcome to Police Chase. Today, we're kicking off a brand new series, When people Messed with the Wrong Cop, where every dumb move instantly triggers justice mode. All right, let's dive in. On July 17th, 2025 in Thirstston County, Washington, USA, Olympia police spotted a reported stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver immediately fled. The chase reached 130 mph with the driver weaving across lanes and shoulders. Deputies deployed spike strips, but the vehicle kept going, putting everyone on the road at risk. >> We're passing 93rd Avenue right now. [clears throat] I'm going to go over gravel. going for a grapple. >> A deputy finally deployed a grappler, locking onto a rear tire. The vehicle fishtailed, spun around, and came to a stop, ending a pursuit where every second mattered. up south at 93. We'll be on a film. >> Let's see some [ __ ] hits. >> Yeah. >> Driver side clear. >> Passenger. Yeah. [music] A fortunate ending to a dangerous decision. Good [ __ ] Grapple one. >> Thank you. >> Drop the gun. Drop the gun. >> On June 9th, 2025 at 8:44 a.m. in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, a 911 caller reported a distressed man walking along Hermitage Avenue with a firearm. Sergeant Robert Weaver soon located him. I'll keep going on route just in case they don't have anyone in central available but I'll let you keep >> Weaver followed cautiously repeatedly telling him to put the weapon down, but the man ignored the commands and kept moving. What began as a careful approach was becoming more unpredictable by the second. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Go back. Go. Drop the gun. Drop the gun. Drop the gun. Drop the gun. Drop the gun. Drop the gun. >> [music] >> Moments later, the man suddenly moved toward Weaver while still holding the weapon. Facing an immediate threat, the 27-year police veteran reacted within seconds, firing three rounds and stopping the confrontation. Emergency crews quickly transported the man to a local hospital while authorities worked to identify him. For Sergeant Weaver, a tense encounter had come down to just a few critical seconds, a reminder of how quickly uncertainty can become danger. >> DROP THE GUN. DROP the gun. Drop the gun. DROP THE GUN. GET THE [ __ ] OUT OF HERE. [screaming] >> On April 23rd, 2025, at around 2:05 p.m. in Los Angeles, California, USA, officers spotted 36-year-old Osman Brzeno, a wanted suspect known to possibly carry a firearm. When police attempted a traffic stop, he sped away. >> Hey, put your Drop the bag. Drop the bag. >> Drop the [ __ ] car. >> DROP THE [ __ ] BAG. >> DON'T [ __ ] REACH. >> Don't you [ __ ] move. Officers repeatedly warned him not to reach inside. Yet, he ignored their commands. Don't reach. Not reach. [screaming] I didn't do that. >> Reaching Central Avenue, Brino suddenly stopped, turned toward a pursuing officer, and reached into the backpack. With only seconds to react, the officer opened fire, bringing the confrontation to an end. Get the [ __ ] out of the >> Brino was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for treatment. No firearm was found at the scene and no officers or bystanders were injured. He was later processed on an unrelated firearm related assault case and other outstanding felony warrants. >> BACK UP. GET OUT OF [screaming] HERE. >> On August 1st, 2024, at around 6:00 p.m. in Meridian, Idaho, USA, police responded to a reported altercation involving 24-year-old Jeremiah Banebridge. Soon after, officers spotted his white Toyota Rav 4, but he refused to stop. Banebridge escaped the first pursuit and continued driving recklessly. When deputies found him again in Kuna, another chase began. During it, he called 911, said he did not want to go to jail, and told dispatch he had a Glock 19. Get out the [ __ ] cover. Stay back. Stay back. STAY BACK. >> HANDS. [screaming] SHUT YOUR HANDS. >> Near the I84 onramp, Sergeant Michael Geel ended the chase with a pit maneuver. Banebridge then stepped from the disabled vehicle holding a firearm. Within seconds, three officers responded with gunfire and secured the weapon. >> Back up. Back up. BACK UP. >> GET OUT OF THE CAR. SHOOT OVER YOUR HEAD. SHOW ME YOUR HEAD. >> Deputies immediately provided medical aid and Banebridge was later taken into custody. He ultimately pleaded guilty to felony domestic battery and fleeing and eluding while two other felony charges were dismissed. A long chain of risky choices ending with serious legal consequences. front. >> On September 21st, 2026, at around 10:55 p.m. in Arkansas, USA, Trooper D. Medford spotted a silver Volkswagen Jetta speeding on Interstate 30 East. When he attempted a traffic stop, driver Marlon Pettigrew initially pulled over, then suddenly accelerated away. Watch the rock 440 east the airport exit ground. The Jetta reached 99 mph and Petty even turned off his lights while trying to get away. After taking an exit, he threw an object from the driver's window. Something officers would soon discover changed the seriousness of the situation. Pedigrew finally slowed on Lindsay Road as the trooper approached. A moment of uncertainty over whether he would flee again resulted in the patrol car striking the rear of the Jetta. Officers later recovered a handgun from the area where the object had been thrown. >> Hey, keep your hands out. >> The [ __ ] you running for? >> I'm sorry, officer. I was scared. I'm sorry. I was scared. I'm sorry. >> WHAT'D YOU THROW OUT? >> I'M SORRY. IT WAS JUST SOME WEED. I'm sorry. >> Hey, get out of the car. Hands up. >> Like this. >> Yep. >> I'm sorry. I'm I'm going to jail, aren't I? Yep. Lay down right here. Face down. Face down. Put your hands out by your side. Hands out by your side. >> By my side like this. >> Like an airplane. Yep. >> Petty Grew was taken into custody. A search of the vehicle also uncovered a digital scale with residue while the handgun was secured as evidence. What began as speeding had quickly turned into a much more serious night for the driver. On January 8th, 2025 in Douglas County, Missouri, USA, deputies were alerted to a reported stolen white Volvo. When an officer spotted it near Cowskin Bridge and attempted a stop, driver Janissa Wilson immediately sped away. Still driving westbound past 534. Speed 90 mph. Wind 534 miles. This vehicle trying to get me to hit it. It's working inside. The pursuit stretched across Douglas and Christian counties, reaching 110 mph. Wilson repeatedly entered oncoming lanes and forced other drivers to react. On icy winter roads, every reckless move made the situation even more unpredictable. 14 strategy. >> Let's get 250 online. Let him know that I am in a pursuit. Coming up on 535. passing head. We do have Christian County 911 on there. They are trying to get people to it, aren't they? As the chase continued through Sparta, Stapel Nelson decided it had gone far enough. At around 40 mph, he used a controlled vehicle intervention, striking the rear of the Volvo and finally bringing the pursuit to a stop. >> Get out OF THE GROUND NOW. [screaming] GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE NOW. GET OUT NOW. >> Open the door. Get on the ground now. >> Put your hands behind your back now. >> Ow. Ow. Ow. I'm about to pee my pants behind. >> Piss all over yourself for all I care. >> I have to go home and say goodbye to my kids. >> Yeah. Wilson was taken into custody and later faced 18 felony counts, including aggravated fleeing and other serious charges. A pursuit spanning two counties had finally ended. A reminder of how one attempt to escape can multiply the consequences. On October 19th, 2024 in Dell, Arkansas, USA, trooper Tanner Seal clocked a motorcycle traveling 80 mph in a 60 mph zone on US Highway 78. When he activated his lights, rider Michael Ees chose to accelerate instead of stopping. 30 seconds. [music] I think he's just slowing down, swerving left to right. Blue jeans, black jacket, black and red helmet. Can't get the tag right now. >> Coming up to Flaming Road westbound Manila. Light traffic. The motorcycle surged past 130 mph, weaving through traffic and even using the shoulder to avoid another vehicle. As the chase approached populated Manila, the risk grew with every mile. >> I think now couple hundred yards. 100 milesPH coming to the curve. He's breaking me. After Eve repeatedly changed lanes and break check the pursuing trooper, speeds finally dropped to around 35 mph. Seeing an opportunity, Seal performed a controlled vehicle intervention, bringing the pursuit to an end. >> Put your hands behind YOUR BACK RIGHT [ __ ] NOW. STRAIGHTEN YOUR LEGS OUT. >> What am I? >> First of all, >> give me your arms. First of all, nothing. >> C36 Jones road. >> You're under arrest. that we're 15. >> Don't move. >> Ees was examined by paramedics, showed no visible injuries, and was taken into custody. He later faced multiple charges, including felony fleeing and reckless driving. A speeding violation had turned into a far more serious situation, all because of one decision not to stop. During an active patrol in Arkansas, USA, troopers were alerted to a fleeing vehicle and quickly coordinated an interception. One trooper raced ahead to prepare spike strips before the pursuit reached his position. If you can catch me, you can have the lead because they're doing all they can do right now. Just now coming in. Yeah, >> I'm right here. You see my string? Someday they're probably trying to spike. >> When the vehicle finally appeared, the spike strips were deployed, but unexpectedly both the fleeing vehicle and a pursuing police unit ran over them. Even so, the chase continued and officers refused to let the situation spiral further. Anybody got a good spot 64 dispatch? Heat. Heat. 65. Don't let your car go. After catching up again, a trooper used a pit maneuver to stop the vehicle. The driver still resisted and attempted to escape on foot, forcing officers to use a taser before finally gaining control. >> The suspect was taken into custody, ending a pursuit filled with unexpected turn. From spike strips to the PIT maneuver, persistence and coordination brought the chaos to an end. Another reminder that fleeing only makes the consequences harder to escape. Crashed in crashed into crash. Let's get fire rolling this way. At 9:14 p.m. on the evening of the incident in Marquette, Michigan, USA, police responded to reports of gunfire that had left one person with multiple injuries. Officers soon learned the suspected driver, identified only as Trevor, was heading toward a local hospital in a black SUV. >> Anyone? >> Westbound 41 coming in. Vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, refusing to stop. Black SUV. Oh, looks like you got the address for the plane. >> Clear 2126 521 clear. >> Troopers located the SUV on US 41 and attempted a traffic stop. Instead of pulling over, the driver accelerated to more than 90 mph, crossed into oncoming lanes, and continued fleeing. In moments like these, every passing second increases the risk for everyone nearby. >> Advising operations 2127. >> Vehicle is passing Haley. Passing Haley. Correction, Kelly. 91 91. >> The pursuit ended when the SUV sped into a gas station and crashed into diesel fuel pumps, causing flames to erupt almost instantly. Officers repeatedly ordered, "Get on the ground. Roll away from the vehicle." Trevor followed the commands, allowing officers to move him to safety before providing first aid. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. CRAWL AWAY FROM [screaming] THE FIRE. CRAWL AWAY FROM THE FIRE. >> CRAWL. ROLL. IS THERE ANYBODY ELSE IN THE VEHICLE? >> AND GET ON YOUR FACE. GET ON THE GROUND. ROLL TOWARDS MY PARTNER. ROLL. >> ROLL TOWARDS ME. >> ON THE GROUND. On the ground. Down. Face down. Officers secured the scene, shut down the fuel pumps, and handed Trevor over to EMS after he began showing signs of shock. The incident demonstrated how quickly a pursuit can escalate and how decisive actions by first responders can prevent an already dangerous situation from becoming even worse. >> On the ground now. Let's go. On June 4th, 2026, at approximately 1:32 p.m. in North Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, an officer spotted an older model white Dodge pickup displaying a license plate linked to a recently stolen vehicle. As soon as the patrol car pulled in behind it, the driver appeared startled and quickly accelerated away. >> [music] >> The pursuit stretched across Little Rock as the pickup raced through city streets at speeds exceeding 90 mph, ignored traffic lights and stop signs, entered oncoming lanes, and even lost belongings from its truck bed. Along the way, two passengers jumped out and fled on foot while the driver continued without slowing down. Every turn made the situation more unpredictable. I got one black female gray shirt in the middle of the road. [music] Android Z. Give us the street again small. After nearly 10 minutes, the chase entered a one-way street. While attempting to keep the suspect in sight, the pursuing officer's patrol vehicle experienced brake fade and collided with an SUV at an intersection. Despite the setback, the suspect managed to escape before additional units could arrive. to emergency. I'm over here at Sami trying to get an intersection. We're over here. We're trying to find it. >> Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the pickup. The pursuit highlighted the extraordinary risks created by reckless driving, reminding us that one person's attempt to avoid responsibility can place countless innocent road users in danger. Could you stay? >> ALL OF THIS IS BEING RECORDED. Cut you right now. No, [ __ ] >> In Spokane, Washington, USA, Sergeant Eric Canberg was dealing with an intoxicated individual when another man unexpectedly stepped into the encounter. A routine call was suddenly becoming unpredictable. >> It's 5.15. >> 525 West. >> 525 Spray. >> Oh, who do you think you are? Please tell me that. >> Um, >> my name is Sergeant Canber. >> Sergeant Sergeant? >> Yes. >> Sergeant what? >> Kanberg. >> Canber. >> Yes, sir. >> Camber. >> For nearly 4 minutes, Kanberg calmly asked the man to step away, giving him several chances to leave, but the warnings were repeatedly ignored, and at one point, the man even struck the officer's hand. Sometimes one poor decision is all it takes to [music] turn patients into tension. >> Okay. Could you step away from me? >> No. I think if I >> Don't touch me. Don't touch me. >> Okay, you're about ready to be arrested. >> Step away from me, please. >> Kelly. Kelly, >> step away from me. >> Just watch him. >> All right. >> Watch him, Kelly. >> Okay, sir. I've asked you to step away. >> I dare you to touch me. I dare you to [ __ ] about I dare you to touch me. Touch me from me, please. >> Touch me. I dare you to touch me. Touch me. >> Step away from me, please. >> No. No. I will stand right here on THE [ __ ] SIDEWALK. PUBLIC SIDEWALK. And I dare you to goddamn touch me. I [ __ ] DARE YOU. [ __ ] YOU, DUDE. NO idea what's going on here. Could you stay? >> All of this is being recorded. Touch me right now. >> No, [ __ ] >> You want to go to jail tonight or not? >> I'm not going to go to jail. >> If you keep up the attitude, you've been stay away from me. >> Touch me. >> Okay. >> Touch me. >> No. >> Are you serious? >> I'm dealing with this gentleman here. >> I'm going to ask you to step away. >> Thank you. >> You're You know what? You are not a law enforcement. I'm going to ask you TO STEP AWAY. >> YOU ARE YOU ARE NOT AN A law enforcement officer. Do you understand? Step away from me. Do you understand that you are not? >> No. Don't [ __ ] touch me. Do you understand that you are not a law enforcement investigator? >> 220. Could you start me up? >> Step away from me. >> [ __ ] you, [ __ ] >> If you hit me like that again, I will [ __ ] you up. Do you understand that? >> Step away from me. >> DO NOT [ __ ] TOUCH HIM, [ __ ] >> STEP AWAY FROM ME. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST. >> You're under arrest. >> Then the man suddenly ran down the street. Canber followed. quickly caught up with him and brought the situation under control. After minutes of restraint, the encounter had finally reached its turning point. >> Already showed up, >> sir. >> Hey yo, the dog. >> Sir, have a seat. Sir, have a seat on the ground. >> Don't touch me until I record you. >> Have a seat on the ground. >> The man was taken into custody. What could have ended with a simple warning instead [music] became a much more serious encounter. A reminder that staying calm and following lawful instructions can prevent a small situation from escalating. >> Put your arms out to the side, sir. >> That's right. >> You're under arrest. >> Hey, Kelly, just stay on the line. Okay, please stay on the line. Stay online. >> Calm down. Calm down. >> I want >> Calm down. On Sunday in Haggerstown, Maryland, USA, officers responded after a 15-year-old girl's bicycle reportedly collided with a vehicle. Police wanted to identify her, clarify what happened, and contact a parent while paramedics checked her condition. >> Come here. >> Don't touch me. Don't [ __ ] listen. Hey, listen. Yeah, we are calling your parents. Get off the table. You're being detained now FOR COOPERATION FOR WHAT? >> FOR cooperation of investigation. Get >> off of me. >> According to police, the teenager refused to cooperate and repeatedly resisted their instructions. As officers tried to place her inside a patrol car, the encounter became increasingly tense. What began as a traffic investigation was quickly turning into something far more complicated. >> Then turn then turn around. Put your hands behind your back. You're being detained. >> YOU'RE BEING DETAINED RIGHT NOW. [screaming] >> GET THAT HARD ASS [ __ ] OFF. STOP. Y'ALL GET THAT [ __ ] OFF OF ME. [screaming] >> [screaming] >> STOP. >> STOP [ __ ] [laughter] >> STOP. [laughter] [screaming] Come on, brother. Calm down. Calm down. >> I want sex. >> Calm down. >> I want >> Calm down. Put your feet in. >> You're all right. Calm down. >> Don't resist it. >> I'm fine. >> Calm down. >> Officers eventually used pepper spray while trying to secure her inside the cruiser. The body cam footage later sparked debate over whether that level of force was appropriate for a 15year-old. In situations like this, a few ten seconds can leave difficult questions long after the scene is over. >> Put your feet in. You put your feet in. >> There you go. >> The teenager later faced several charges including disorderly conduct, secondderee assault, marijuana possession, and failure to obey a traffic device. Her family's attorney criticized the officer's response and said she later experienced soreness and muscle injury. The department also reviewed the officer's actions, leaving the footage at the center of a wider debate over judgment, restraint, and police procedure. >> 12. I didn't understand you. Repeat. >> Female got pepper spray. smart. >> On June 25th, 2026 at approximately 3:29 p.m. in El Dorado, Arkansas, USA, a trooper attempted to stop a gray 2014 Dodge Ram for a seat belt violation. As the truck pulled into a vacant lot, the driver, later identified as Travis Hall, tossed a green pipe from the passenger window before suddenly speeding away. Hall accelerated to more than 66 mph before abruptly stopping the truck and running away on foot. Despite repeated commands to stop and a warning that a taser would be used, he continued fleeing. Sometimes one poor decision only leads to another. Have a seat. >> The first taser deployment was unsuccessful, but after Hall stumbled and tried to continue running, a second deployment safely brought the situation under control. Officers recovered the discarded pipe, found an open bottle of liquor inside the pickup, and later conducted a drug recognition expert evaluation. After receiving medical attention for minor injuries, Hall was taken to the Union County Detention Center. He was booked on multiple charges including fleeing by vehicle, fleeing on foot, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, driving without a license, driving left of center, carrying an open container of alcohol, and failing to wear a seat belt. The incident is another reminder that cooperating during a routine traffic stop is often the safest choice for everyone involved. On July 26th, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m. in Fort Smith, Arkansas, USA, a state trooper spotted a black Honda Grom being ridden without the required eye protection or a license plate. As soon as the rider noticed the marked patrol car, he accelerated away. Got to work now. The rider, later identified as Tommy Saias Som Funout II, weaved through traffic, ran red lights, ignored stop signs, and split lanes, putting nearby drivers at serious risk. The pursuit finally ended when he lost control of the motorcycle in an alley and fell. As officers moved in, Sfuna ran on foot while repeatedly reaching toward his waistband. Officers ordered, "Show me your hands. drop it. Moments later, he slid a handgun beneath a parked vehicle and surrendered without further resistance. Officers later recovered the loaded handgun, an extra- loaded magazine, two bags of suspected marijuana, and a THC vape. After being medically evaluated, Sfunout was transported to the Sebastian County Detention Center. He was booked on multiple charges, including felony fleeing by vehicle, fleeing on foot, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident serves as another reminder that a simple traffic stop can quickly become far more serious when poor decisions continue to escalate. You ain't got anything else for you? >> Okay, roll over or correction. He got him pitted out. >> Shortly after 7:20 p.m. in the Van Beern area of Arkansas, USA, state police attempted a traffic stop on a black rental Chevy Silverado. Instead of stopping, the driver accelerated away, turning an ordinary stop into a high-speed pursuit. >> Okay, U-turn. We're making a U-turn. >> We're coming going back eastbound on 64 eastbound 64. >> Let that rolling PD unit. He needs to get out of my way before I get up there with the dog. lose his feet. >> Well, I mean, we're putting people's lives at risk. We might go ahead and pin them. It's got to take 28 newer model. >> Trooper Matthew Price joined the pursuit as the pickup weaved through traffic and rushed through intersections. Officers attempted to block it and even tried a pit maneuver, but the driver regained control and continued. At one [music] point, speeds reached 122 mph in a 45 mm zone. Every mile made the risk greater for everyone on the road. 4 to 21. If you take a little pressure off of them, see if he'll slow down some and we'll just try. >> Okay, we fitted him out. He's got back on the roadway. Standby. We're back eastbound on 64 21. You may have to get up there. I don't know if my car is going to make it. I got quite a bit of damage, I think. The truck has uh driver side damage now from my pit. >> More driver side damage. >> He's passing somebody on the right shoulder. >> Around 7:35 p.m. on Highway 64 West in Malberry, a trooper performed another pit maneuver. This time the Silverado spun to a stop and several patrol cars quickly surrounded it. Then came an unexpected discovery. A pregnant woman was sitting in the back seat. Little Malbury. >> Okay, roll over or correction. He got him pitted out. Pitted out. >> Pit out. Little Malbury. Get your hands up. GET YOUR [ __ ] HANDS [screaming] UP. EVERYBODY, HOLD WHAT YOU GOT. HOLD WHAT YOU GOT. GET OUT OF THE TRUCK AND GET ON THE GROUND. >> You try anything, you're going TO GET SHOT. GET OUT OF THE GROUND. COME TO ME. Turn away. Turn away. >> Go to the other side. Go to the other side. >> The driver and passengers exited and were taken into custody without the pursuit continuing any further. Authorities identified the male passenger as 32-year-old Schaefer Smith, while the driver identified himself as 30-year-old Robert Regal. Although police questioned whether that information was accurate after a pursuit reaching extreme speeds, the biggest relief was that officers had finally brought the situation under control. >> Go to the other side. I'll cover him. Good job, guys. secondary. >> From May 12th to May 14th, 2023, in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, Arkansas State Police launched Operation Safe Streets, a multi- agency enforcement effort aimed at illegal street racing, reckless driving, and other criminal activity. What began as a targeted operation soon expanded into one of the city's largest public safety campaigns. I'm right here at D Springs and 30. Where's Ar? We're still northbound. Just passed over the railroad tracks coming up on base 40 45. Officers worked around the clock patrolling major roads and responding to reports across the city. As the operation continued, dozens of reckless drivers were stopped while firearms, suspected narcotics, and stolen property were also recovered. Every checkpoint sent the same message. Public safety comes first. Go ahead and take over and end it. There's not a lot of traffic. It's a good spot to do it. 11 secondary. >> After 48 hours, the operation concluded with 610 arrests and numerous criminal and traffic violations addressed. Despite the scale of the enforcement, officers completed the operation without any major incidents or reported injuries. A result that reflected careful planning and coordination. STAY RIGHT THERE. >> GET ON THE GROUND. >> GET ON THE GROUND. >> I'M GOING TO SEND THIS DOG IN IF YOU DON'T SHOVE YOUR HEAD. >> STAY RIGHT THERE. GET ON THE GROUND. >> GET [screaming] ON THE GROUND. >> GET ON THE GROUND. >> LAY ON YOUR FACE. GET ON THE GROUND. [screaming] Operation Safe Streets demonstrated that consistent enforcement can make a real difference. It also served as a reminder that public roads are meant for everyone and choosing to drive responsibly helps protect not only yourself but everyone around you. >> Uh basically bridge real quick. >> [music] >> On September 16th, 2022, near Highway 85 and County Road 38 in Fort Lupton, Colorado, USA, officers responded to an alleged road rage incident involving a firearm. After stopping 20-year-old Maria Rios Gonzalez, she was placed in the backseat of a patrol car while officers searched her pickup truck. What seemed like a routine investigation was about to take an unexpected turn. >> Dispatch, 346 one at gunpoint. >> Driver, let me see your hands. >> Put your hands out the window at night. Put >> your phone down. Put your phone down. >> As officers searched the vehicle, the sound of an approaching freight train grew louder. Only then did they realized the patrol car had been left on railroad tracks. Within seconds, the train struck the unattended police vehicle, leaving everyone at the scene in shock. >> Good. >> Keep your hands above your head. >> Don't move. >> What's going on? Why am I doing that? >> We'll explain everything in a second. Can I get myself the truck? >> Who is that? Heart. >> No, that's uh Oh my god. Oh my god. Your car. Stay back. 346 patrol car was just hit by a train. >> Dispatch 346 get us medical emergent. The suspect was in the vehicle that was hit by the train. >> Officers immediately rushed toward the damaged patrol car and called for emergency medical assistance. Maria was quickly removed from the vehicle and transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The incident unfolded so quickly that it became a powerful reminder of how a single oversight can lead to devastating consequences. >> Took her a long time to pull over and Platville said he did not see anything leave the vehicle. >> Right now, I just need to find out who she is so we can deal with that aspect of it. >> Investigators later confirmed the patrol vehicle had been parked on the railroad tracks during the traffic stop. The officer involved was placed on administrative leave while the incident was reviewed. Cases like this remind us that every decision at an active scene matters and even experienced professionals must remain constantly aware of their surroundings. >> I know you know what you're doing. I was just thinking out loud. >> I'll let you look at that. I'll keep looking for the other stuff. On April 10th, 2020, at approximately 11:34 p.m. on an interstate highway in Arkansas, USA, troopers encountered a vehicle sitting motionless in the middle of the roadway. On a dark highway where traffic moves at high speed, even a stationary car can become a serious danger within seconds. As troopers approached to investigate, the driver suddenly accelerated away. What began as a strange roadside encounter immediately turned into a pursuit with officers following as the driver continued trying to get away 1750 >> 440 west 450 not stop we're driving about 60 mph You need an act. >> Go ahead. I don't have a siren. He's not stop. >> Troopers attempted several PAT maneuvers, carefully waiting for opportunities to stop the vehicle while minimizing the risk to surrounding traffic. After multiple attempts, they finally succeeded and brought the car to a stop. One wrong move at highway speed could have changed everything. Just took back off again. 4630 14 target way. driving the wrong way again. The driver was taken into custody and the highway gradually returned to normal. What started with one vehicle stopped in the roadway became another reminder of how quickly a single reckless decision can put both officers and innocent motorists at risk. On September 20th, 2023, at approximately 11:07 p.m. on Interstate 440 near Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, Trooper Lucas saw two vehicles race past at an estimated 150 mph. He immediately activated his lights and siren, but a white Dodge Challenger continued onto Interstate 30 at extreme speed. The Challenger accelerated to around 160 mph, weaving through traffic and even using the shoulder to pass other vehicles. Troopers struggled to close the distance as the driver continued toward Interstate 430. At those speeds, there was almost no room for error. After entering Interstate 430 northbound, the Challenger sideswiped another vehicle while returning from the shoulder. Once traffic ahead cleared, trooper Lucas performed a tactical vehicle intervention. The Challenger spun across the highway, contacted the median cable barrier, and finally came to a stop. >> Let me SEE YOUR [ __ ] HANDS RIGHT NOW. YOU LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. CRAWL TOWARDS ME. CRAWL TOWARDS ME RIGHT NOW. >> The driver, later identified as Dimmitri Barton, exited and surrendered while passenger Aaro Lopez Gomez was also safely removed from the vehicle. She told police that she had repeatedly asked Barton to stop. Both received medical evaluation before Barton was transported to the Palaski County Detention Center. After a pursuit reaching around 160 mph, the road was finally calm again. A powerful reminder of how quickly reckless speed can endanger everyone nearby. >> Shut up. Damn. She doesn't have nothing to do. It's my fault. On July 23rd, 2026, at approximately 7:54 p.m. on Interstate 30 in Arkansas, USA, Arkansas State Police began searching for a red Ford Flex linked to a reported theft involving merchandise valued at more than $1,000. What started as an attempt to locate the SUV quickly turned into a dangerous interstate pursuit. Dash cam footage from trooper Dustin Medford captured the SUV weaving through evening traffic as multiple troopers coordinated over the radio. Speeds quickly climbed past 100 mph with the patrol vehicle reaching 109 mph while closing the gap. Every passing second increased the risk for everyone on the road. As trooper Dustin Medford closed the gap, he looked for a safe opportunity to end the pursuit. The first pit maneuver was unsuccessful, allowing the Ford Flex to keep going. Moments later, with traffic conditions becoming more dangerous, Medford executed a second PIT. This time, the SUV spun off the roadway and came to a controlled stop, bringing the high-speed chase to an end. >> We're county now. >> Moving around. Moving around in the back seat. The official investigation is expected to determine the final outcome and any charges filed against those involved. The pursuit is another reminder that choosing to flee rarely solves a problem. It often creates even greater risks for everyone sharing the road. Charles traffic. On July 22nd, 2026 on Interstate 40 near the 284 mile marker in Arkansas, USA, Trooper Thomas spotted a white Toyota Camry traveling slowly in the left lane, disrupting the flow of traffic. As he attempted a routine traffic stop, the driver initially appeared to comply before making a sudden decision that changed everything.
