Hey adrenaline junkies, welcome to Police Chase. Today we're kicking off a brand new series when people messed with the wrong cops where every dumb move instantly triggers justice mode. All right, let's dive in. On May 8th, 2025, in the afternoon in Pasadena, California, USA, police attempted to stop Lloyd Nelson after an illegal U-turn near Pasadena City College. Instead of cooperating, he returned to his vehicle and drove away, turning a routine traffic stop into something far more serious. Union Island. Officers followed Nelson for about 20 minutes through city streets. At one point, they backed away for safety while a police helicopter continued tracking him from above. But Nelson kept going. Sometimes one decision is all it takes to turn an escape into a much bigger problem. At Corson Street in Allen Avenue, Nelson's Mitsubishi collided head-on with a Pasadena police SUV. According to police, he then fired toward officers, forcing one officer to respond immediately. Another officer suffered a leg injury during the chaotic encounter and was taken to a hospital. Officers quickly secured the scene and made sure their injured colleague received medical care. The dash cam and body cam footage later showed how quickly one traffic violation could spiral into a dangerous confrontation. A powerful reminder that reckless choices can put everyone nearby at risk. On April 16th, in the early evening in Northern California, USA, the family of a 29-year-old Vallejo woman reported her missing after she was last seen with 24year-old Juan Aayon Barza. Just before 700 p.m., a cyclist on Pinehurst Road called 911 after discovering a disturbing situation involving an injured woman. Police soon spotted a Chevrolet van matching the witness description, but the driver refused to stop. A pursuit stretched from Oakland toward [music] Richmond with speeds reportedly exceeding 100 mph. The van ran red lights, crossed toward opposing traffic, and repeatedly put other drivers at risk. What began as a search for answers was now becoming a race to protect everyone on the road. >> Speed on South 37th Street. The situation reached its breaking point. According to authorities, Ian Barza pointed a firearm toward officers before his van struck two patrol vehicles. Officers responded immediately, then rushed to help an injured colleague as the chaotic pursuit finally came to an end. [screaming] Let's go in the car. >> The injured officer suffered several broken bones but was expected to recover. Police secured the scene and continued investigating the events connected to the missing woman. [music] The body cam and aerial footage captured a sobering reminder. Once reckless choices begin to spiral, the consequences can reach far beyond [music] the person trying to escape. 37. >> On July 5th, 2020 in Marian County, Florida, USA, Deputy Samantha Horn spotted a silver 2015 Hyundai Elantre on SE Abshire Boulevard. A quick computer check showed the vehicle had been reported stolen. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver, later identified as Harley Moore, refused to pull over >> 26 through the med southbound southbound lanes. [music] Southbound southbound lane. >> He's getting caught up in traffic. >> [music] >> Southbound on 441 just cross over 42. >> Cross over 42 still southbound kilo 5421. >> The pursuit was on. Officers successfully deployed stop sticks, slowing the Hyundai, but more kept going and eventually collided with another vehicle. Even with the car losing speed, he still refused to give up. One choice after another was only making the situation more dangerous. >> Going into Lake County. Continue to reference saw fire in the uh top six. >> Deputy Horn performed a pit maneuver, but Moore still tried to drive away. A second pit finally brought the vehicle to a stop. Officers moved in quickly, taking Moore into custody while passenger Harrison Blnick was detained by Belleview police. Lost front tire. Lost the front tire. for another vehicle. >> For another vehicle, look at medics rolling, >> bro. >> Moore was arrested on allegations including vehicle theft, fleeing from police, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Authorities also reported finding suspected methamphetamine and related items, leading to additional charges for Bodnik. What started with a stolen car alert ended in two arrests. Another reminder that running from the law rarely makes the original problem disappear. At around 700 p.m. in Lufkin, Texas, USA, an officer noticed a silver Chevrolet Cruise enter oncoming traffic. Moments later, another driver signaled that something was wrong. Police attempted a traffic stop, but the driver, identified as 27-year-old Travis Thornton, refused to pull over. Thornton sped away at more than 80 mph, forcing police to end the first pursuit after 11 minutes because of unsafe road conditions. Officers then learned the crews had allegedly been taken from a repair shop. Hours later, around 2:00 a.m., the same officer spotted the vehicle again, and Thornton once again chose to run. This time reaching more than 100 mph. After encountering a locked gate at a way station, Thornton reportedly backed into a patrol car and escaped across the grass. Officers later deployed stopsticks, damaging three tires and slowing him to about 30 mph. With heavier traffic ahead, a PIT certified officer saw the opportunity and brought the pursuit to a controlled stop near Angelina Animal Hospital. Pull >> him through. On the ground, we're good. We're good. We got no people on top. >> 17 minutes after the second pursuit began, Thornton was taken into custody without further incident. Police said he faced charges related to unauthorized use of a vehicle and evading arrest. Two chances to stop, two decisions to keep running, and in the end, the road still led to the same place. Accountability. >> You're pretty desperate, man. Danger lot of people's lives earlier and again >> on June 3rd, 2024 at 9:49 a.m. on Interstate 4 in Florida, USA. Trooper Brandon Cano clocked a burgundy sedan traveling at 112 mph in a 70 m zone. When he activated his lights and siren, the driver, later identified as Wilfried Ruiz, refused to stop. In seconds, a speeding violation became something far more dangerous. The red car for 276 are on the 1031. The sedan raced westbound at around 120 mph, weaving through traffic and even striking a box truck before continuing. Several FHP units joined the pursuit as Ruiz allegedly used the shoulder and repeatedly came close to other vehicles. At those speeds, every passing second carried a risk, not just for him, but for everyone sharing the highway. 345. You're cutting off 87. >> Copy. Passing the 88 about 98. driving for a little bit more. >> Near mile marker 86, trooper Donacowski helped slow the sedan enough for Cano to perform a pit maneuver. The car struck a concrete barrier, but still attempted to escape. Troopers then used their patrol vehicles to contain it, finally ending the pursuit after a tense series of maneuvers. I copy it. 83. Ruiz was taken into custody at 10:11 a.m. and received immediate medical attention after showing signs of distress. During a later search, troopers reported finding multiple IDs and credit cards, suspected cocaine, a digital scale, and small plastic bags. Ruiz was medically cleared before being booked into Orange County Jail. One reckless decision had grown into a long list of consequences. Proof that trying to escape often creates a much bigger problem than the one left behind. 97. I see you have one machine just on August 2nd, 2021, in the early morning on I20 West in Georgia, USA, a state patrol trooper spotted a blue Chevrolet Camaro traveling at more than 100 mph. When the trooper attempted a traffic stop, the driver, identified as Taiwan Javon Wyatt, refused to pull over. A quiet morning suddenly turned into a high-speed pursuit. Wyatt continued through traffic, using the shoulder and ignoring repeated attempts to stop him. Troopers tried several PIT maneuvers, waiting for the right moment to safely [music] bring the Camaro under control. At that speed, every extra mile only increased the risk for everyone on the highway. Heat. Heat. Near exit 26 at the Liberty Road ramp, troopers finally performed a successful PIT, disabling the Camaro. But Wyatt still wasn't ready to surrender. He left the vehicle and ran across the lanes of I20, turning a vehicle pursuit into a dangerous chase on foot. Clear now. >> Villa Rica officers quickly caught Wyatt and took him into custody. Authorities later confirmed the Camaro had been reported stolen from a dealership in Union County. What began with excessive speed ended in an arrest and more serious consequences. A reminder that a few moments of reckless freedom can carry a much longer price. On September 18th, 2023 in Elatchua County, Florida, USA, deputies were alerted to a stolen BMW linked to a serious investigation traveling north on US 441. Officers located the vehicle and confirmed its tag. From that moment, stopping it safely became the priority. Compressed vehicle >> 300 441 now trying to get a little set. >> Somebody set up on 63rd Boulevard, guys. Somebody sets up on 63rd Boulevard trying to go around here. >> Mark, can you turn your light on and block this lane? Deputies followed from a distance and deployed stopsticks, but the driver avoided them by moving through the median and continued fleeing. With every attempt to escape, the danger grew. How long could this continue before one wrong move affected someone else on the road? I'm being in the right lane. Try to push in for the left lane. Uh you guys already on the bra right in front of you. >> Fast lane. Put a fast lane. He's turning. >> God him now. Now >> my driver. >> When a safe opportunity appeared, deputies performed a pit maneuver, bringing the BMW to a stop. Officers immediately surrounded the vehicle and ordered the occupants out. The driver identified as Javon Stefan Barklay was then taken into custody, finally bringing the tent's pursuit to an end. About to exit over on the south on the prairie [screaming] crash. >> Felony stop, guys. Remember what you're doing. Felony stop. Block traffic back in the back, please. Authorities said Bararklay had an outstanding warrant for assault with a deadly weapon and a history of 13 license suspensions. He also faced allegations related to fleeing and driving with a suspended license. Another attempt to escape had ended exactly where it could have ended much earlier in police custody, only with more consequences added along the way. >> [snorts] >> On March 4th, 2024, at approximately 4:41 p.m. on Interstate 75 in Florida, USA, Trooper Shier noticed a white Dodge Charger with heavily tinted windows. When he activated his emergency lights, the driver, later identified as Tobias Bershard Travio Cody, accelerated away. What began as a traffic stop quickly became a dangerous pursuit. Z Bravo. >> The Charger entered I75 southbound and reportedly reached speeds above 145 mph, weaving through traffic [music] and using the shoulder. Trooper Prosper moved into the lead as officers tried to bring the situation under control. At that speed, there was almost no room for error. One wrong move could affect everyone nearby. Near mile marker 148, the Charger and Trooper Prosper's patrol vehicle collided at roughly 120 mph. Both vehicles left the roadway and the Charger eventually came to rest in a water-filled ditch. Troopers immediately approached and secured Cody and passenger Roosevelt Williams, finally ending the high-speed pursuit. During the vehicle inventory, troopers reported finding suspected marijuana related paraphernalia and a loaded handgun. Cody was medically cleared and later booked into Charlotte County jail on allegations including aggravated fleeing and reckless driving causing damage. The pursuit was over, but its message remained. A few reckless minutes can create consequences that last far longer than the chase itself. is >> on August 5th, 2026, at around 7:00 p.m. near Truman, Arkansas, USA, an Arkansas State Police trooper attempted to stop a Hyundai Sonata on Interstate 555 for a traffic violation. Police identified the driver as 32-year-old Lloyd L. Hamilton III, who allegedly refused to stop and accelerated away. Heat. Heat. The pursuit quickly reached speeds of around 130 mph. As Hamilton continued northbound, the trooper moved into position for a tactical vehicle intervention or TVI. At that speed, the danger was no longer limited to the pursuit itself. Every driver nearby was potentially at risk. Jonesboro, we got a rollover. Send me 1016. >> Near mile marker 28, the trooper performed the TVI. During the incident, Hamilton's vehicle collided with another vehicle, causing it to overturn beside the interstate. In an instant, two people who had nothing to do with the pursuit were caught in its consequences. Get out of the car. Get out of the car. Show me your hands. Get out of the car. Get out of the car. Me your hands, dude. Jones, bro, I need I need a 1016 for a They hit somebody else. They rolled over. Show me your hand. Stop moving. Show me your hand. A 68-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man in the other vehicle were taken to Regional One Medical Center with serious injuries. Hamilton was also taken for medical evaluation. Police said a search of his vehicle recovered suspected controlled substances and he later faced multiple charges including felony fleeing, secondderee battery, hazardous driving, DWI, and drugrelated offenses. One decision to flee had turned a traffic stop into consequences affecting far more than one person. I'm trying to get to my daughter, man. My daughter is sick, man. My daughter's having a heart attack, bro. My daughter's having >> Anybody else in the car? >> No, my daughter's having a heart attack. Oh my check out my daughter. >> On August 5th, 2026 at around 11:24 p.m. near Alexander, Arkansas, USA, police were pursuing a gold Acura along the I30 frontage road. An Arkansas State Police trooper joined near the Alcoa Road overpass and saw the vehicle moving at high speed while swerving between lanes. Rocky Bay 53 for M186. Ahead was a work zone with closed ramps, limited lane access, and workers nearby. With the Acura heading directly toward it, the trooper decided to attempt a tactical vehicle intervention or TVI. After the first opportunity was lost, he repositioned beside the vehicle at approximately 109 miles per hour. At that speed, there was almost no room for error. >> The trooper made contact with the Acura's rear corner, sending it into the grassy median. His patrol vehicle also lost control and struck a concrete culvert through the smoke and dust. The trooper then spotted the driver running across the interstate. Despite the damaged patrol car, the pursuit continued on foot. The driver, identified as Tyrese Hampton, crossed a concrete barrier before officers caught him behind the Plaza 1 suites and took him into custody without further incident. Hampton was evaluated at Saline Memorial Hospital before being transported to the Saline County Jail. The trooper's vehicle had to be towed from the scene, a striking reminder of how quickly a high-speed pursuit can put everyone in its path at risk. On August 9th, 2026, at around 10:17 a.m. near Greenbryer, Arkansas, USA, Conway police were pursuing a vehicle along Lower Ridge Road. An Arkansas State Police trooper monitored the pursuit and positioned himself ahead, hoping to intercept it before it reached a more populated area. 25 head back into greener. Head back into greener. All right, we're going about 100. >> When the pursuit turned westbound, Conway police requested assistance. The trooper intercepted it on State Highway 225 East and became the primary unit. He attempted a tactical vehicle intervention or TVI, but the first attempt was unsuccessful. With the vehicle still moving toward populated streets, every second began to matter. Sorry. Failed PVI failed. See no traffic over there. >> Near 40 East Maine, the trooper found another opportunity and attempted a second TVI. This time it worked, bringing the pursuit to a controlled stop. After a tense chase and one failed attempt, the danger on the road was finally brought under control 650. Yes, the door is in 62. Thank you. The driver identified as Jeffrey Tate was taken into custody by Conway police. He was medically cleared at Baptist ER in Conway before being transported to the Faulner County Detention Center. The pursuit showed how preparation, coordination, and timing can make all the difference when officers have only moments to act. We're running. On August 8th, 2026, at around 8:05 p.m. In Kittinden County, Arkansas, USA, trooper Hunter Hill spotted a silver 2020 Honda Insight traveling north on Interstate 55. Radar reportedly showed 95 mph in a 75 m per zone, prompting the trooper to initiate a traffic stop near mile marker 12. The Honda initially stopped on the shoulder, but as Hill approached, the driver allegedly accelerated away. The pursuit quickly reached tripledigit speeds as the Honda changed lanes, nearly struck another vehicle, and even traveled the wrong way along part of the service road. With traffic ahead, every risky move raised the stakes. Let's take one. Seeing the growing risk to other motorists, Hill moved into position for a tactical vehicle intervention or TVI. The pursuit eventually came to an end, leaving both the Honda and the patrol vehicle with significant damage. What began as a speeding stop had escalated into a far more serious situation. >> Step out of the vehicle. STEP OUT OF THE VEHICLE. STEP. >> Authorities said the driver had a suspended license and no liability insurance. The driver later faced multiple charges, including reckless driving, fleeing by vehicle, criminal mischief, DWI involving drugs, speeding, and following too closely. One decision to drive away turned a simple traffic violation into a long list of consequences. A reminder that sometimes the safest choice is also the simplest one. Stop. >> CMS. >> Hey DJ panel. On Monday, April 12th, in Forsythe County, Georgia, USA, deputies received a report from an alert citizen who saw a reckless driver throw a suspicious bag near a business parking lot. A black Dodge Charger believed to be linked to recent theft investigations quickly became the focus of law enforcement. Deputies soon located the vehicle on Atlanta Road and followed it into Merchant Square. As four men stepped out, officers approached to conduct a traffic stop. Instead of cooperating, the group rushed back into the vehicle and sped away, triggering a pursuit. How far would they go to avoid being stopped? >> We're signal 12 with it just based on the 39. Believe it's going to be in auto crew four five black males. We're going north on Highway 9 to 20. Go ahead and notify north and south precinct. >> [music] >> 7530 radio on south right. >> The pursuit came to an end after deputies successfully performed the precision immobilization technique, bringing the vehicle to a controlled stop. Despite repeated commands, the occupants hesitated before finally surrendering. During the search, deputies recovered two Glock 17 pistols, a loaded drum magazine, ski masks, marijuana, and a fake identification card. Investigators also learned that some of the suspects had prior felony convictions for violent offenses. Hey DJ, pan. >> Hands up. >> The driver was charged with multiple offenses, including felony fleeing, reckless driving, forgery, and drugrelated violations, while two passengers also faced firearm and drug charges. One passenger was released without charges. The case is another reminder that a single reckless decision can quickly uncover far more serious problems while teamwork and quick action by deputies help bring a dangerous situation under control. >> Bring your hands behind your back. crash crash. >> On Monday, August 29th, 2022, at approximately 3:23 p.m. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, Glendale police officers located a stolen Volkswagen on Northport, Washington Road. Investigators believed the vehicle had been taken during a violent home invasion and robbery reported earlier in Milwaukee. What started as a search for a stolen vehicle quickly turned into a dangerous [music] pursuit. >> Looks like they're going to be back northbound. Back northbound. Lost the tire cuz losing tires is failure. Northbound. Going to go east. East on Mar. East on M. East on tire. East on pass. >> Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver [music] refused to pull over, leading police on a pursuit through city streets. Patrol units carefully followed while monitoring traffic and waiting for the safest opportunity to end the chase. Would the suspects choose to surrender or continue putting others at risk? We're southbound 76 neutral agent white. We're southbound on Brook Parkway. Southbound on Brooks are 60. There's no pedestrian traffic. Medium traffic here. Okay, I'm taking lead. All right, help southbound. Speeds are 35 68. So is giving a dip. Here comes the pip. and [screaming] off road into the park. May not be here. >> [screaming] [screaming] [screaming] >> hit a pole. We're going to be coming out on the Hampton squads. Coming out on the Hampton The pursuit ended after an officer successfully performed a pursuit intervention technique PST, bringing the Volkswagen to a controlled stop. Officers quickly secured the scene and safely took all four occupants [music] into custody. Piana Body camp footage captured the fastmoving moments as officers worked together with calm professionalism to bring the incident under control. >> Victory. Crash. Crash. crash hand in hand. >> The four suspects, a 35year-old woman, an 18-year-old woman, a 16-year-old boy, and a 14-year-old boy, all from Milwaukee, were taken into custody. Investigators submitted possible charges, including reckless endangerment and fleeing [music] or attempting to elude an officer to the district attorney's office for review. The incident is another reminder that fleeing from law enforcement often [music] leads to far more serious legal consequences than the original decision that started it all. Hands up. >> Hey, DODGE YOUR CROSSFIRE. CROSSFIRE. YOU KEEP YOUR HANDS UP. YOU come there. >> Like that. Get up. On June 17th, 2026, during rush hour USA, authorities attempted to stop a driver later identified as Zachary Reed. The situation quickly escalated as he drove dangerously, even heading into oncoming traffic. As the pursuit continued, multiple collisions occurred, forcing officers to call off the chase to protect [music] the public. But instead of ending there, RID disappeared, triggering a large-scale search involving multiple agencies. The tension didn't fade, it only shifted. >> [music] >> Days later, on June 22nd, 2026, officers located him again driving a different vehicle. When they attempted a high-risk stop, he chose to flee once more, immediately escalating the situation. In that moment, [music] the choice to run again changed everything. The incident became the focus of intense investigation. with dash cam footage capturing every second. As the events unfolded, one thought remains. Running from responsibility often leads to even greater consequences. >> On July 7th, 2026, Van Beern, Arkansas, USA, a trooper noticed a driver without a seat belt and attempted a traffic stop. What began as a minor violation quickly turned into something far more serious. >> The driver, later identified as John Fletcher, accelerated and fled, ignoring multiple intersections and driving recklessly through city streets. Each turn increased the danger for everyone nearby. and make sure we're getting 64° across. >> The pursuit ended when the vehicle veered off the road, struck a utility pole, and rolled onto its side. Responding officers quickly moved in and safely removed the driver through the sunroof. In that moment, control was finally regained. Hands up. Fletcher was taken for medical evaluation and later booked into custody. Additional property damage was discovered and he now faces multiple charges related to reckless driving and fleeing. When it's over, one message stands clear. Even a small decision can lead to serious consequences. On July 7th, 2026, at around 10:00 a.m. Arkansas, USA, a trooper spotted an unlicensed Infinity speeding at 76 mph in a 60 zone. What started as a simple traffic stop quickly raised concern. When the trooper turned to stop the vehicle, the driver accelerated, weaving through [music] traffic, using turn lanes and even the shoulder to pass others. Speeds climbed to nearly 130 mph, putting everyone nearby at risk. Fill Cover [music] can pass us with your bag. Coming up on 128 back westbound. 12 at the rest area. >> The driver suddenly lost control near an intersection. As the trooper performed a tactical maneuver, the vehicle spun but continued briefly before veering off into a ditch. The driver then ran on foot, disappearing into a nearby field. Everything happened in a matter of seconds. up coming through the night. Where you at? 128. He just brake check. He's spinning out recover. Continue these fast right now. You can get up or line up shoulder. Holy, get over there and put him in the [ __ ] Okay. We're going to have fair place. So he's down south here soon. Heat. Heat. several back. Evidence at the scene helped identify him as Tamaran West. He was later brought in the same day and taken into custody facing a felony fleeing charge. When it all ends, one thought remains. Running only makes the outcome heavier. I'm going to get you. On December 21st, 2024 at approximately 11:10 in West Memphis, Arkansas, USA, officers received a report that three men had allegedly taken merchandise from a GameStop store before leaving in a white Nissan Maxima with a black front bumper. Within minutes, Sergeant Steve Roberts spotted a vehicle matching the description and began following it. What seemed like a routine investigation was about to escalate dramatically. going to try to get As the patrol vehicle moved closer, the Nissan suddenly accelerated. Speeds quickly climbed from 70 mph in a 35 m zone to well over 90 and at times exceeded 100 mph. The driver ignored multiple traffic signals while weaving through busy intersections. Officers carefully coordinated the pursuit, balancing the need to stop the vehicle with the safety of everyone on the road. Was escaping really worth risking so much? Straight through. As the pursuit reached a more suitable location, Sergeant Roberts successfully performed a tactical vehicle intervention, causing the Nissan to rotate before coming to rest on its side in a roadside ditch. Officers repeatedly called for the occupants to come out, and after several tense minutes, all three suspects surrendered peacefully. A search of the vehicle uncovered more than $2,000 worth of merchandise believed to be connected to the original report with the entire recovery captured on in-car camera footage. >> All right, crawl out. Do it slowly. Crawl out. Do it slowly. If you don't do exactly what we tell you, you will be dumped. >> Keep crawling out. >> The driver was examined by medical personnel after reporting leg pain before being [music] transported for processing while the two passengers were also taken into custody. All recovered evidence was handed over to the West Memphis Police Department. As the investigation continued, the case is another reminder that a single impulsive decision can quickly lead to a series of far more serious [music] consequences. While coordinated teamwork by law enforcement helped bring a dangerous pursuit to a safe conclusion. On March 22nd, 2025, at approximately 11:38 p.m. on Interstate 40 near North Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, trooper Blaine Lucas was conducting stationary radar enforcement when a white Chevrolet Tahoe sped past at 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. What began as a routine speeding stop quickly turned into a high-risisk pursuit. [music] The Tahoe initially pulled onto the shoulder as if it would stop, but as Trooper Lucas approached, the driver suddenly accelerated and fled. The pursuit continued through city streets and residential neighborhoods where the suspect switched off the vehicle's lights, ran multiple red lights, and reached speeds exceeding 100 mph. Even after losing sight of the SUV for a moment, the trooper continued tracking it by following fresh tire marks, smoke, and disturbed dirt along the roadway. How far would the driver go to avoid a traffic stop? >> Coming up to 33rd, light traffic, still blacked out. Turn traffic down first. No traffic. >> With assistance from the North Little Rock Police Department, officers closed the distance as the Tahoe began slowing down. Trooper Lucas then executed a successful tactical vehicle intervention, bringing the SUV to a controlled stop. The driver immediately ran on foot, but was quickly brought under control after a taser deployment. During a search of the vehicle, investigators recovered suspected marijuana, suspected cocaine, pills marked M30, packaging materials, and a digital scale believed to be associated with narcotics distribution. The driver was taken into custody without further incident while the vehicle was towed for evidence processing. Investigators documented the recovered items and vehicle damage as the case moved forward. The incident serves as another reminder that a simple speeding violation can quickly grow into a much more serious legal situation when poor decisions continue to pile up. While coordinated teamwork and measured tactics helped officers bring the pursuit to a safe conclusion on June 25th, 2025 on Interstate 40 near Palestine, Arkansas, USA, Arkansas State Police were notified that St. Francis County deputies were actively pursuing a Brown Chevrolet that had refused to stop. Within minutes, the pursuit reached the interstate where speeds rapidly climbed into the triple digits. What began as another traffic stop was quickly becoming a serious public safety concern. After taking the lead in the pursuit, the state trooper observed the driver weaving through traffic, failing to maintain a lane, and continuing to ignore emergency lights and sirens. Despite every opportunity to stop safely, the driver kept accelerating, placing nearby motorists in an increasingly dangerous situation. Was avoiding a traffic stop really worth putting so many lives at risk? Seeing the risk continue to grow, the trooper executed a successful tactical vehicle intervention, bringing the Chevrolet into the highway cable barrier and ending the pursuit in a controlled manner. The driver, later identified as Jimmy Lee Manasco, was taken into custody without further incident. During the investigation, officers discovered his driver's license had expired and that the vehicle showed no confirmed proof of insurance. At the detention center, officers also observed signs of possible impairment, but Manasco declined both field sobriety testing and a chemical test. Manosco was later cited for multiple violations, including felony fleeing, impaired driving allegations, reckless driving, excessive speeding, driving without a valid license, and failing to provide proof of insurance. The case is another reminder that choosing to cooperate during a traffic stop is often the safest path for everyone involved. Calm decisions can end an encounter in minutes, while reckless choices may lead to consequences that last much longer. Exactly. >> You ran into Silver App. What do you mean by that? >> On September 7th, 2023, at night, Rowan University, New Jersey, USA, an officer noticed a vehicle driving on the sidewalk and failing to stay in its lane. What started as a simple traffic stop already raised serious concerns. >> Right. So, like I said, reason for the stop is we're on the we're on the sidewalk right now and also you failed to maintain your lane right before you turned on a westby. So, I need your license, registration, proof of insurance. >> Okay. >> I don't know where. >> And why does nobody have a seat belt on in this car? >> So, I'm not going to do >> Ma'am, can you turn your car off for me, please? >> Turn off the car for us, ma'am. Okay. >> All right. >> So, my partner's going to have you exit the vehicle over there, okay? Cuz we got to run some tests to make sure you're okay to drive. Has anyone had any alcohol? >> Okay. How are you? What's your name? Man, you can stay. You can stay. >> The 19-year-old driver appeared nervous and gave unclear answers. Officers noticed a bottle and began field sobriety tests. As questions continued, the driver slowly admitted to drinking earlier. The atmosphere grew heavier with each response. >> Put your hands behind your back. We're saying do not move. You're under arrest. >> Ma'am, come here. You're under arrest. All right. >> So, you're under arrest for DUI. Okay. >> One under 6. >> Okay. Hold up, sir. Got to pat you down real quick. >> During the tests, the driver struggled to follow simple instructions and showed clear signs of impairment. Officers made the decision to act, knowing the risk to others on the road was too high to ignore. >> All right, hop in there for me. All right. >> Can you make sure to get my phone and stuff on? >> Yeah, we're going to get everything out of the car for you. I got your license and I got your uh lean back for me. Okay. >> Nicotine. >> Yeah, we'll get everything for you. Lean back for me. Sorry, >> I don't want it. All right, there you go. >> And you said there was is your wal in the car, too? >> Well, it's on my keys. Yes, >> wallet. It's on your keys. Okay, >> hang tight in the car. >> The driver was taken into custody for driving under the influence. As the situation settled, it leaves a quiet reminder. One poor choice behind the wheel can put many lives at risk. Keep your hands up, bro. Hey, you can let out your right one. Sorry, wasn't player. Where were you at? No. >> Yeah. Did you fall at all? >> No. I had a bird on me by now. >> You're good to put your hands down. You can relax. You ran into Silver. What do you mean by that? hard to find her and she was trying to know if my kid was like my friend was from high-speed pursuits to moments where decisions go too far.
