Shots fired. >> Hey adrenaline junkies, welcome to Police Chase. Today we're kicking off a brand new series when people messed with the wrong cops where every dumb move instantly triggers justice mode. All right, let's dive in. Oh, shots fired. >> On November 15th, 2018, in Oruroville, California, USA, officers patrolling campfire evacuation zones received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked for several days near the evacuated Pines Yankee Hill hardware store. A deputy believed the driver was GD Hendricks, 48, a parole abscond wanted in connection with a serious investigation. >> Hands in the air. >> He's got something in his right hand. >> Don't [ __ ] >> Hands in the air. >> Hands in the air, [ __ ] >> Hands in the air. >> Put in behind him. Pull in behind him. >> County 17. He's throwing it in reverse. just dropped in. >> As officers approached, Hendrickx suddenly drove away, pushing past parked vehicles and heading south on Highway 70. Within seconds, a careful approach became an intense pursuit involving several agencies. Lost both wheels. >> Multiple units below 10 to 70. We have about 10 to 12 units with another unit. >> After roughly 8 miles, officers used spike strips to stop the vehicle. Hendrickx stepped out and made a movement that led officers to believe he was holding a firearm. In a split second, the situation reached its most critical moment. >> Right hand now. Shots fired. >> Suspect down. >> The confrontation ended at the scene. While K9 Bandit was seriously affected during the operation, the incident left a sobering reminder. One decision to flee can quickly put everyone involved at risk. On November 11th, 2018, at approximately 12:43 p.m. in Tantytown, Arkansas, USA, Corporal Brett Thompson attempted to stop a Green Saturn for a traffic violation near S Bington Road and Steel Road. The driver refused to stop, turning what seemed routine into something far more serious. >> Sid pass your car by twice. Look like you may be trying to hide something or anything. Driver's seat. His confrontation followed before multiple agencies joined the pursuit through the area. One question remained. How much further would the driver go to avoid being caught? Triple. I got a white female just got out. She's walking southbound off the steel. You good? I'm good. >> Luis Kobo Cenobio. He received medical treatment for an arm and shoulder injury before being taken into custody. Remarkably, no officers or deputies were injured. A reminder of how quickly one reckless decision can place many lives at risk. He >> He took off that way in the vehicle. Another uh like a light green gray pass your car. Stop. >> Yeah. >> Sit down. >> I am. I promise. I promise. I promise. >> Let's go. >> In December 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, police responded to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge after a cleaning employee reported that someone had broken in through the front glass doors. Officers entered the building with K9 Cisco, unsure of what might be waiting inside. Shut this door so you can go out. Body cam footage captured officers searching room by room as Cisco followed the trail deeper into the building. The silence made every doorway feel uncertain until the K9 suddenly led officers toward a back room. They haven't been in the pool though. You're not showing any interest. Come on. Find him. Watch >> that door there. >> Let me see your hands. Let me see your hands. >> Get out of the ground. Get out of the ground. Get on your stomach. Get on the ground. >> Stop resisting. Put your hands behind your back. >> I am. I am. I am. I promise. I promise. I promise. >> There. Police located Christian Bryant and Cisco helped bring the situation under control. Moments later, an officer asked him, "Do you realize what building this is?" Bryant simply replied, "No. Of all the places to allegedly break into, this was certainly an unfortunate choice." >> Ow! Ow! The dog bit me. I >> 225 got one in custody. Started for a dog bite. >> Ow! Ow! I promise. >> Bryant was taken for medical treatment following the K-9 encounter before being placed in custody. The case ended without a prolonged chase, but left a simple reminder. One poor decision can lead you straight into the last place you expected to be caught. >> Yeah. Be right here. >> Yeah. >> We got it already. and uh and uh >> oh >> on November 29th, 2018 in Pasco County, Florida, USA, deputies spotted a driver fleeing after an alleged snatching incident near US 19 and Flora Avenue. After the vehicle struck another car, deputies began a short pursuit, but speeds quickly climbed beyond 100 mph. >> We're shutting down excess of 100. Still northbound all over the road is going to be uh golf race 19. >> Oh, >> the victim signal three is down. >> God damn it. >> Moments later, the driver lost control and struck Deputy Henrichy's patrol vehicle at approximately 70 mph and impact captured on body cam. In a split second, the danger officers had tried to reduce came directly to one of their own. >> You okay? like can sit down. Come here. >> The suspect ran from the scene, but was apprehended shortly afterward. Fortunately, both he and Deputy Henrichy sustained only minor injuries. One reckless escape had turned seconds of speed into consequences that could have been far worse. >> Get this gate open. On April 15th, 2023, at approximately 3:13 p.m. in Brevard County, Florida, USA, an FHP trooper spotted a black Hyundai linked to suspected drug trafficking traveling at 80 mph in a 70 mila zone. When the trooper attempted a traffic stop, the driver accelerated away. Uh 611 stop at uh 91. Yeah. The Hyundai began weaving through traffic and even used the emergency shoulder to get ahead. The trooper stayed behind with lights and siren activated while every sudden maneuver increased the risk for everyone sharing the road. right now. Like I said, 23. You ready to race? >> As the pursuit continued, speed and traffic left almost no room for error. How far was the driver willing to push his luck just to avoid a traffic stop? What began with a speeding violation had quickly become a dangerous situation on a busy Florida highway. >> Get him. Get him. [ __ ] >> The driver's actions became the subject of a criminal investigation. He may have tried to leave the trooper behind, but not the consequences of his choices. On the road, a few reckless seconds can create consequences that last far longer than the chase itself. >> Lay down. Lay down. Lay down. >> In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. Broward Sheriff's Office deputies and Florida Highway Patrol troopers were monitoring a black Mercedes SUV linked to multiple active warrants. When troopers attempted a traffic stop, the driver refused to cooperate and sped away. That's BSO as well. >> 95 south. >> The Mercedes moved quickly through the streets as officers followed, looking for a safe opportunity to bring the pursuit to an end. With every turn, the pressure increased and so did the risk to everyone nearby. >> Okay. >> Light it up. Light it up. Light it up. Watch out. Watch out. Right there. 1119. We're 10315 on Sunrise Boulevard east of I95. Officers performed a pit maneuver. The SUV spun out, lost control, and overturned. In only a few seconds, the pursuit was over. Officers quickly moved in and safely detained all four occupants. fire. Let me see. Let me see. >> Authorities identified the primary suspect as 20-year-old Dorchon Tate Jr. who faced new allegations, including aggravated fleeing and grand theft. Sherid Moley was also arrested, and officers recovered three firearms. A second chance can open a new path, but the choices made afterwards still determine where that path leads. On May 2nd, 2023, at approximately 12:56 p.m. on Interstate 75 in Sarasota County, Florida, USA, authorities received multiple reports of a white Ford Ranger speeding, swerving between lanes, using the shoulder to pass, and allegedly throwing metal objects from the vehicle. Florida Highway Patrol troopers soon located the truck heading north. 79. >> When trooper Pierre Louu activated his emergency lights, the driver immediately moved onto the shoulder and accelerated away. Another trooper joined the pursuit with lights and siren on, but the Ford continued fleeing. Every unpredictable move made an already busy interstate even more dangerous. When the truck finally slowed enough, a trooper saw an opportunity and performed a pit maneuver, immediately ending the pursuit. The Ford spun onto the shoulder and stopped. Its driver, Philip John Kenny, was then taken into custody without further incident. Afterward, Kenny repeatedly claimed someone was chasing him. A vehicle search found no signs of narcotics activity, though officers documented two empty prescription bottles. Kenny was charged with reckless driving and fleeing law enforcement before being processed into Sarasota County Jail. Sometimes the greatest danger begins when fear or confusion takes control behind the wheel. On October 10th, 2023, at approximately 9:31 p.m. in Hernando County, Florida, USA, troopers pursued a red Dodge after its driver showed signs of possible impairment and refused to stop. The pursuit continued south into Pasco County with the vehicle traveling at high speed and repeatedly drifting across the center line. Heat. Heat. The situation intensified on Tommy Trail where the Dodge collided with trooper Rozelle's patrol vehicle during an attempted pit maneuver, leaving his unit disabled. Trooper Galloway then took the lead, performed another pit, and sent the Dodge spinning off the roadway before it came to a stop against a tree. The driver abandoned the vehicle and ran into nearby woods. Trooper Galloway followed, repeatedly ordering him to stop. When the driver attempted to cross a barbed wire fence, a taser was deployed, allowing officers to finally bring the tense pursuit under control. 85. Let's go ahead and fight. >> The driver was later identified as Joseé Manuel Feliz. During field sobriety exercises, officers documented several signs of possible impairment, and police later declined to provide breath samples. After receiving medical clearance, he was booked into the Hernando County Jail. What began as unusual driving had escalated into a pursuit, a crash, and a foot chase, a reminder of how one decision to keep running can turn a bad situation into something far more serious. Right there question leave him for right now. We're going to Is your car open? >> Come on. Come on. >> Please don't shoot me, man. >> I just lost my mom, man. >> At around 8:00 p.m. on May 25th, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, officers responded to Cup Foods after a report that George Floyd had allegedly used a counterfeit $20 bill. What seemed like a routine call quickly became tense. >> Gentlemen, sorry. >> The driver in there. >> Hold on. Which one? >> Which one? >> Yep. Yep. Just head back in. >> Okay. They're moving around a lot. Let me see your hands. >> Damn, man. >> Stay in the car. Let me see your other hand. >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. >> Let me see your other hand. >> Both hands. >> Do nothing. >> Floyd was handcuffed and questioned, but he appeared increasingly anxious as officers tried to place him inside a patrol vehicle. More officers arrived, and within minutes, the situation had changed completely. Step out and face away. >> Please don't shoot me. Please, man. >> I'm not going to shoot you. Step out and face away. >> I'm out of eye out, man. Please don't shoot me, man. I'm not shooting you, man. >> I just That was my mom, man. >> Step out and face away. >> Stop moving. >> Put your hands behind your back then. >> I'm not going to do nothing. Face to the door. >> Hey, you come back. Stay in the car. Walk with me. Man, God, man. >> Stand up. >> Why you doing me like this? >> Stand up. >> Come on. >> I just want to >> We're trying to get out of the street here so you don't get hit by a car. >> The encounter moved to the ground where Floyd repeatedly said, "I can't breathe." Concerned bystanders watched as the situation became increasingly urgent. What began with a $20 bill had suddenly become something far more serious. >> God, don't do me bad, man. >> Man, I know. I don't want to try to win. I don't want to try to win. >> I don't want to win. I'm transphobic. You ain't going to win. >> I'm phobic. I got anxiety. I don't want to do nothing to roll the window down. Please take my lay on the ground. I'm lay on the ground. I'm on the ground. I'm on the ground. I'm lay on the ground. >> Emergency medical personnel soon arrived and took over Floyd's care. The encounter later became the focus of major legal proceedings and worldwide discussion about policing and responsibility. Sometimes just a few minutes can leave questions that remain for years. There's There's one right there. That's what broke. There's one on this side. >> At around 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday near Mesa Drive and Main Street in Mesa, Arizona, USA, Devon Hock was working underneath his wife's car when one of the jacks suddenly collapsed, leaving him pinned beneath the vehicle. A routine morning had turned into an emergency in seconds. >> Can we try to Let's >> try to lift it up and pull him out. >> We can try see if we can move it first. >> See if you can pull him. Pull him out. Pull him out. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. >> Okay. Where's the ambulance at? >> Mesa police officers Nolan Martino and Josh Gardner responded and arrived within roughly 3 minutes. Seeing Devon trapped, they immediately joined the rescue effort. At that moment, there was little room for hesitation. Every second mattered. >> He's conscious breathing. uh sitting up on his own. >> So, nothing doesn't look too bad right now. >> This is my husband. Your phone. >> How's the first? >> Body cam footage captured the officers working together as the car was lifted just high enough to create an opening. They quickly helped pull Devon to safety. What could have become a far more serious situation was brought under control through a fast and coordinated response. >> All through that sand, it looks like it compressed on the whole frame >> or it slid off of the frame and went up into Oh, I was under there trying to clip in the underc carriage and it just >> kind of slipped off. >> Bumped it. Or >> don't ever use one of those again, man. >> You need to jack or something. You know, my mom's not here. I'm not here. >> Here you go. >> You got to jack it up and then put the stand under it. >> I was asleep and I heard somebody call 911. >> Fortunately, Devon avoided major injuries. Sometimes body cam footage isn't about a pursuit or confrontation. It captures people arriving at exactly the moment someone needs them most. On this morning, 3 minutes made all the difference. >> Make sure you give him some tonight. On July 25th in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, officers responded to a reported fight involving a knife near a Smith store. They soon located two men walking east along 500 South where the situation was already tense and unpredictable. >> Stop right there. >> Hey there. >> He's got a hostage. >> We got a hostage. >> Put the knife down. >> Put it down. >> Officers confronted Andrew Jacob Priest, who police said was holding the knife. Commands were given, but within moments, priest grabbed the other man, pulled him close, and placed the knife near his neck. Suddenly, officers were facing a possible hostage situation. >> I guarantee you, dude. I promise you. Look, I don't make promises I can't keep. >> I don't make promises I can't keep. I promise you that. >> Hey, look, dude. It's not worth it. >> With another person apparently in immediate danger, officers had only seconds to react. They discharged their firearms, bringing the confrontation to an end. In moments like this, how much time is there to make a decision that could change everything? >> The scene was secured and the incident later became the subject of an official review. What began as a report of a fight had escalated within minutes, leaving behind a powerful reminder. When a weapon enters a confrontation, every decision can carry consequences far beyond that moment. One at taser point. Taser activated. Taser deployed. >> At around 5:35 p.m. on July 19th, 2026 at Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, California, USA, an officer responded after security requested help with a trespassing notice for a man sleeping on a bench. What appeared to be a simple call was about to change quickly. >> Hey, boss. Hey, Palo Alto Police. >> What? Palo Alto Police. >> Hey, so uh she just has a couple questions for you. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You've been here on property before, right? And you were informed to to leave the property. Is that correct? >> After several attempts, the man woke up as the officer identified himself. According to police, he became agitated, stood up, and walked toward the officer while yelling despite repeated commands to stop and step back. The distance between them kept getting smaller, and so did the officer's time to react. incoming unit. Step it up, >> dude. Back up. Back. You're going to get tased, dude. >> Go ahead. >> You're going to get tased. >> Boom. Do it. >> One that taser point. >> Taser activated. Taser deployed. He's down. Step it up. >> With the command still being ignored, the officer deployed a taser. Bringing the confrontation under control. The man fell to the ground and officers quickly moved in to secure him. In a tense encounter, sometimes only seconds separate a warning from action. Where's the blood coming from? >> He's got laceration on his forehead. He's still responding. Can you hear me? >> Yeah, please. Thank you. >> By approximately 5:45 p.m., the man was in custody without further confrontation. A call that began with someone sleeping on a bench had escalated and ended within just 10 minutes. Sometimes staying calm and following clear instructions can keep a difficult moment from becoming something far more serious. On August 27th to 28th, 2025 in Jonesboro and Bllytheville, Arkansas, before continuing into Pemiscott County, Missouri, USA, officers from multiple agencies pursued a white Chevrolet Tahoe traveling at speeds of up to 115 mph. What began as a local pursuit soon crossed state lines, demanding precise coordination from every officer involved. boot or this is still running off. We're going to pass some Verizon Wireless. He's passing incoming traffic now or passing in the mall. Trooper Jones became the lead unit and attempted several tactical vehicle intervention TVI maneuvers. The first attempt was disrupted when the driver break checked the patrol vehicle and the second attempt failed as the SUV escaped. Still, officers stayed focused, waiting for the right moment. Sometimes patience is just as important as speed. >> Send him again. We're going to come up on the bridge. TVI TVI TVI success. >> Copy successful. And >> on the third attempt, the TVI was successful, causing the SUV to lose control after striking the concrete barriers. Deputies and officers from several agencies quickly surrounded the vehicle and safely took all three occupants into custody without anyone being injured. Don't move. Do not move. Open the door. >> Show me your ass right now. Show me your ass. >> Come out the window. Hold this window down. >> Hey, bro. >> Hey, give me your hands behind. A search of the SUV uncovered suspected narcotics, multiple mobile phones, and merchandise believed to have been stolen. The driver later admitted fleeing because of outstanding warrants in a previous pursuit. The case shows that running from the law often leads to even more serious consequences. While teamwork and professionalism help bring dangerous situations to a safe conclusion, >> I love you, baby. >> Three in custody. We're secure. >> You got a duck on you? >> Yeah. This is right here. Copy secure at the >> on January 1st, 2022 in Fulton County, Georgia, USA, a patrol officer noticed a silver Lexus SUV reverse through an intersection and stop in the middle of traffic. Suspecting the driver was impaired, the officer activated emergency lights and approached the vehicle. What seemed like a routine traffic stop changed in an instant. We're south after sight. We just cured 225 at all. 13. Before the officer could speak with the driver, the SUV suddenly sped away, triggering a pursuit. A short time later, the officer performed a Piet maneuver, causing the vehicle to spin and come to a stop. To prevent another escape, the patrol carfully pinned the SUV against a guardrail. Come on over. Put your hands behind your back. Put your other hand behind your back. >> The driver stepped out but quickly climbed back into the SUV attempting to drive away again. The officer opened the driver's door, deployed a taser, and safely brought the situation under control. In moments like these, calm decisions often make the biggest difference. >> You all right? >> The suspect was taken into custody, medically evaluated at a hospital, and later transported to the Fulton County Jail. The incident is another reminder that cooperating during a traffic stop is always safer than turning a simple encounter into a much more serious situation. >> Huh? >> You okay? >> You all right? On August 17th, 2023, at approximately 7:28 p.m. in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, Arkansas State Police joined a pursuit after the Little Rock Police Department requested assistance in tracking a stolen white Chevrolet Silverado traveling west on Interstate 630. Within minutes, the chase was moving at high speed along Interstate 430. 36 primary white Silverado Louisiana Charles 917056 C97056 7 mph I love it. At around 7:33 p.m., a state trooper performed a tactical vehicle intervention, TVI, sending the pickup off the roadway and down an embankment before it came to rest on its side. Officers repeatedly ordered the driver, later identified as Alex Whitaker, to step out, but there was no response. Please to safely resolve the situation. Officers broke a rear window to improve visibility and gave several more warnings. When those efforts still failed, they used OC spray before carefully removing the driver from the vehicle and taking her into custody. Sometimes patience and teamwork are the safest tools officers have. >> Bring you around. It's on the side. Hey, grab your hands. The driver was taken into custody without any further incident, bringing the pursuit to a peaceful conclusion. The case serves as another reminder that following lawful commands can prevent unnecessary risks for everyone involved. >> We're not talking to anybody right now. Are we not going to do the tasks? Nikki, >> am I refusing to perform the task? >> On December 7th, 2024, in Palm Beach County, Florida, USA, a deputy conducted a traffic stop after noticing a 23-year-old woman driving erratically. At first glance, it appeared to be a routine stop, but the driver's behavior soon raised greater concern. >> It was really just an indecisive decision. >> Yeah. No, I He told me to turn and I turned. >> It I I told him to turn. My grandmother's house was a complete other way and she just switched lanes too quick. I I made her nervous and that's my fault. >> I gotcha. Okay. >> As the deputy spoke with the driver, he noticed the odor of alcohol and several signs of possible impairment. She initially agreed to perform the field sobriety tests, but moments later became uncooperative and repeatedly refused to follow instructions. Was this simple hesitation or was there something more? Do you have another pair of shoes on that or do you have another pair of shoes in a car that may be a little more comfortable for you or >> No, I don't. >> Okay. >> I can take them off. >> No, I'm just asking if they're uncomfortable. If you want to take them off, you're more than welcome to. I just know how difficult it is standing in for a long time. >> Yeah. No, that's true. No, it's okay. >> Okay. >> Yeah, I do. >> Can you show me your left? Can you show me your right? >> Left, right. >> Okay. Do you want to take those off or do you want to leave them on? >> No, I'll leave them on. >> Okay. I'm going to ask you put your left foot on the beginning of that yellow line for me. >> I'm going to ask you to put your right in front of your left and then hands down by your side. Okay. I'm going to ask you remain in that position throughout the instructions and demonstration and do not begin the task until I instruct you to do so. No, we're not talking to anybody right now. Are we not going to do the tasks? >> Nikki, >> by refusing to perform the task I'm requesting of you, it may against you. >> Call a lawyer doing this. >> Okay. So, you're refusing to do the tasks. >> Yep. You understand that if by refusing to perform the task that I'm requesting of you can be used against you in court and I have to base my arrest decision off the probable cause that I've already developed? >> Yes or no? >> After explaining that her refusal could be considered along with the evidence already gathered, the deputy made the decision to place her under arrest based on probable cause. The situation remained calm and the encounter concluded without further escalation. Okay. No. So be any place you under arrest. >> Unlock your hands. >> Frankie, get a >> Is there any chance he could car to >> my live right here? >> The car's going to tell cuz the tag's illegal on it. >> Later testing indicated a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit, supporting the deputy's observations at the scene. The incident is a reminder that making responsible choices before getting behind the wheel can protect not only yourself but everyone sharing the road. >> Routine's fine. 51. >> At around 4:12 p.m. on May 11th, 2026 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, officers were alerted to a suspicious Silver Infinity near a Motel 6 on West 29th Street. The driver, later identified as Jesse Franks, caught an officer's attention after several unsafe turns. What began as a traffic stop was about to become something much bigger. >> I'm at 2009. Go ahead. Give me the next When the officer activated his lights and siren, Franks allegedly kept going, ignored a stop sign, and accelerated. The pursuit reached speeds of up to 85 mph as other drivers moved aside. Every extra mile only increased the risk, not just for Franks and the officer, but for everyone sharing the road. Wish 91 at 18th and Main Street. Police said Franks entered an intersection against a red light and collided with a pickup truck. The impact pushed the truck into the D&J Mini Mart. Franks then attempted to leave the scene on foot, but officers quickly took him into custody. In only seconds, one decision had affected several people in a nearby business. >> Hand by your back. >> Nobody else in the car, right? >> I I don't know. No. What did I do? What did I do? >> I'm checking. >> Hey, check that. >> My leg still like that. >> Stay still. >> Both drivers received medical attention while the pickup and store sustained significant damage. During an inventory of the Infiniti, officers reported finding suspected cannabis, a scale, and a loaded Glock 9MM listed as stolen. Franks was later taken into custody on multiple charges. What started with a traffic violation ended with injuries, major property damage, and far more serious consequences. A reminder that running rarely makes the original problem disappear. Oh, can you please stay away from your legs? >> On January 10th, 2025 on Florida's turnpike in St. Lucy County, Florida, USA. A Florida Highway Patrol trooper spotted a black 2017 Infiniti Q50 with a fully tinted windshield and a protruding rear bumper. The trooper followed the vehicle toward the Becker Road exit, preparing for what seemed like a routine traffic stop. >> You might want to have to roll to the left. Not in the middle of the road. >> What's up, buddy? What's up, man? Once you guys leave, you want me to open that up? Yeah, went over it and then went like when the 1070 gets here. >> On SW Becker Road, the Infiniti initially stopped after the trooper activated his lights and siren. But as the officer approached, the driver suddenly pulled away, made a U-turn, and accelerated in the opposite direction. In an instant, a simple roadside stop had turned into a pursuit. East Road. Going to get the B, Papa. Going to get the B. We're going on the bike. We're going on the dirt bike. We're going on the surf bike. The pursuit continued as officers worked to bring the vehicle to a safe stop. A pit maneuver was eventually attempted and at one point a passenger jumped out. Yet the Infinity continued moving. With every passing minute, the tension grew and so did the danger for everyone on the road. We're going the opposite way. behind the vehicle 1025 as well off the road now. All right. Back on road westbound road. Looks like they pit. >> Now they're eastbound. Drive again. >> FP unsuccessful east. >> Get out the [ __ ] car right now. Get out the vehicle. Vehicle taking off. Bravo train circle. He's still going eastbound. >> The pursuit was eventually brought to an end and the incident resulted in multiple legal consequences for those involved. What began as a minor traffic stop had grown into something far more serious. Sometimes the decision to keep driving creates a much bigger problem than simply pulling over ever would. >> 180 portion of that. On January 2nd, 2024 in Newton County, Georgia, USA, troopers received information that Danny Richardson, who authorities said had previously fled from several agencies, might be driving a white Chevrolet pickup. An officer soon spotted the truck on Georgia 36 and recognized Richardson behind the wheel. Watch where Yep. 1080 going back towards you guys on 362. After backup arrived, the trooper activated his lights and siren. Richardson allegedly refused to stop, drove along the shoulder, avoided stopsticks, and swerved as officers tried to position for a PIT maneuver. Police believed he was heading toward familiar territory near his home, but they managed to block that route. Richardson continued onto smaller roads before driving over a curb and onto a rough powerline trail. Moments later, his pickup came to a stop, but Richardson had disappeared into the nearby woods. A K9 team and drone were called in, turning the pursuit on the road into a search through dense terrain. >> Going southeast on power lines 250. >> Hands up. >> I don't see him. Hey, watch yourself. I got high. Doors off. >> Using a hat found near the truck, the K9 picked up Richardson's trail and led officers through the woods. He was eventually located in thick vegetation and taken into custody. After receiving medical attention, Richardson was transported to jail where authorities said he also had outstanding warrants. He knew the terrain and tried to use it to his advantage, but sometimes running only makes the road to consequences longer. One more second. >> Sure. >> At around 3:08 a.m. on January 5th, 2025 in Hillsboro County, Florida, USA, a state trooper spotted an Acura SUV traveling at approximately 110 mph on Interstate 75. The driver was later identified as 20-year-old Shiante Mccantsz. What began as a speeding violation was about to become a far more dangerous situation. When the trooper activated his lights and siren, Macance allegedly accelerated instead of stopping. Speeds climbed to around 140 mph as the Acura moved between other vehicles before the pursuit continued onto Big Ben Road. At that speed, one small mistake could affect everyone nearby. The Acura struggled to stay under control several times, but the driver continued. When an opportunity finally appeared, the trooper performed a pit maneuver, bringing the high-speed pursuit to an end. After miles of uncertainty, everything changed within seconds. McCants was taken into custody and faced charges including aggravated fleeing, grand theft auto, and driving with a suspended license. His 19-year-old passenger, Javon Williams, was also charged. The rush lasted only minutes, but the consequences could follow much longer. Sometimes slowing down is more than a traffic rule. It's a decision that protects everyone sharing the road. All right, vehicle 4141 right here. >> September 19th, 2025, Clayton County, Georgia, USA. While patrolling near North Bridge Road and County Line Road, an officer spotted a vehicle with an expired registration tag. When emergency lights and sirens were activated, the driver immediately accelerated, turning a routine traffic stop into a pursuit road, Georgia Tech, Romeo, Juliet, Papa 0476 or some Burgundy Honda Blackhawk one. >> Tenant carry. You have a call. >> Clear. That vehicle's taking off on me. County line road. The vehicle headed into Fyet County at speeds reaching 116 mph in a 45 mph zone. The driver crossed into the opposite lane and struggled to maintain control, putting other motorists at risk. Speeds are 106. No traffic. All right. Vehicle 41. 41 right here. 41. 41. Approaching a curve, the driver lost control while trying to avoid another vehicle. The car left the roadway and crashed into the treeine. Moments later, the driver stepped out and was taken into custody without further incident. >> Put your hands out. >> [ __ ] okay. Okay. >> Okay. Okay. The driver was identified as Rohan Daly. Officers found that his license had been suspended and the vehicle had severely worn tires that may have contributed to the crash. Daly was taken to the Clayton County Detention Center while the vehicle was impounded. What began with an expired tag ended with a high-speed pursuit. A reminder that one attempt to avoid a traffic stop can create far greater consequences. June 11th, 2022, Georgia, USA.
