Hi, I'm Deputy Knoblock with PL County Sheriff's Office. Reason I pulled you over today, sir, is for two reasons. Okay. Yes, sir. Didn't use your turn signal turning out of pricks and then you have to use your turn signal 100 ft before you make a turn. So, you didn't do that whenever you turn on the marsh here. Your vehicle also doesn't have any insurance attached to its registration. >> Yes, sir. >> You have your driver's license, registration, proof of insurance. >> It's it's been broke down. That's all I had to drive. I was just trying to get some propane from the crickets. >> Okay. >> I just live right right up the road right by Prickets. >> Okay. Where you going right now? >> I was going to go to uh see if uh the dollar store had any. That's That's all I was trying to do. >> Okay. You got your driver's license, registration, proof of insurance? >> No. No, sir. This car has been broke down. >> You ain't got no driver's license? >> I heated a deer. >> You ain't got no driver's license? >> Yes, sir. I got a driver's license. >> Let me get your driver's license. >> Yeah. I was just trying some propane. >> Yeah. It's been broke down since the summer I hit a deer. My truck. It broke down. It's all I had to drive. I do at home is just right. I just live right out just on the road right beside the store. >> Okay. >> Okay. Is there anything in the car I need to be worried about? >> No, sir. There's nothing. >> Okay. You ain't got any warrants or anything? >> Uh, not that I know of, sir? >> Not that you know of? >> No, sir. I shouldn't have. >> Okay. Give me >> I'm going straight back home. >> Okay. Just hang out here for me. Okay. Mr. Mr. Lynch, you mind stepping out of the vehicle for me, please? You just go stand right in front of my patrol unit. >> Just step right in front of my patrol unit. Do me a favor, boss. Go ahead. Set that phone down for me. Okay. >> All right. Well, I got to go. >> All right. Hey, you're not under arrest right now. You are being detained. Okay. That dog's going to conduct a free air sniff around your vehicle. >> Okay. >> He's not going to hit on anything. >> Okay. >> Okay. You got anything on you, man? >> No, sir. >> You don't mind if I search you? >> No. >> Okay. I appreciate it. >> I have nothing. Hey man, you ain't got nothing. You ain't got nothing. >> Yeah, I was just coming down to the store to do some profile. >> That's cool, man. 10 4 10:15 at this time. >> Okay. So, you do have a warrant for your arrest. So, you're under arrest. Okay. >> Can I take my car home? I just live right here right beside the store. >> No, I'm towing the car. >> That for for what? Can my mom come get it? >> No. >> Why? Why are you being physical? Well, you trying to turn around on me, man. >> Well, I mean, I haven't done anything. >> Well, so you have a warrant for your arrest. Okay. So, you're being arrested. Okay. I'm towing the car. The car is number one. The car is expired. >> It's been It's been broke down. I have nothing to drive. I was just driving it to the store. >> So, you can't drive it until it's registered. Okay. And you can't drive it without insurance. >> I was just going to come to the store. >> Just cuz it's broke down mean it shouldn't have insurance, >> right? >> I mean, it's been broke down since the summer. I hit a deer. >> Okay. All right. Well, >> I just not >> Let's go take a seat back here. What about my lock? >> I'm I'm going to put all that in here. I >> just live right there by that store. Can't take the car home, man. >> No. >> Why? Why not? >> My mom says she >> watching. >> I ain't going to run, man. My mom says she'll come and get it. Please. >> No. It's getting to take a seat. Hey. >> Hi. >> I was wondering if I there's any way we could drive that car home. We just live right there on you know where deal is. >> Yes, ma'am. We we per our policy I have to tow this vehicle. >> Oh, you do? >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Registration's expired on it. It doesn't have insurance. >> Yeah. >> And he's under arrest. >> I can tell that expired. >> It's It expired 10 of last year. >> October of last year. >> He didn't get the tags redone. >> I started to say because I bought that car brand new and sold it to him two years ago. >> Yes, ma'am. >> And he he did have it in his name. I I like the citizens of this county, but the sheriff signed a policy saying this is what we have to do. So, I like my job a little bit more than you. >> I understand that. I just didn't know if you know it being this close. And >> I got you. Yeah, we try to cut breaks where we can, but unfortunately, he's just got a trifecta going on where one, he's going to jail. Two, he's he's got bad registration and no insurance. So, >> he Well, you know, he hit a deer down here. Actually, he didn't. the pickup truck in front of him. Get in and thread it back on top of it. >> Yeah. >> Going to work at like 6:30 in the morning. >> Yeah. >> But uh anyway, so what will he do? Go in front of the judge in the morning and then >> uh Well, >> he'll >> Yeah, he should see a judge, >> I would imag Yeah. >> He won't since he's got a warrant, right? >> Yes. He'll he'll see the judge in the morning and the judge will determine what they want to do. >> If they do a an appearance agreement or what, right? They'll just Well, it's just a minor thing, I think. But >> I mean, if there's a such thing as a warrant being a minor, >> sure, >> but uh >> Yes, ma'am. Uh >> are y'all going to wait till the record gets here? >> Yes, ma'am. We'll be here. >> Okay. >> So, uh he had a bottle of propane. Where was he taking that to? >> Well, he was going to get to get it refilled at Cricket, but they were closed, so he was going to the dollar store to get it. >> Okay. to get y'all need that propane container to go, >> you know, he had told me that he was getting a propane heater, but I I haven't been in his house. He lives next door to me, but >> Okay, I got >> I don't know if that >> We're just making sure you had heat and everything. We >> Oh, no. I Yeah, I don't I've got heat and I don't know if that was for his house or what. >> Yeah, >> but can you ask him if I need to do anything with his dog tonight or what? >> Okay. Yeah, I'll ask him that. >> Hey, >> um >> just feed him. >> Yes, ma'am. I I do appreciate you coming and talk to us. >> Can you just tell him that he's going to spend an hour and I guess he'll call tomorrow? Let me know. >> Yeah, he'll have to go get him or what? >> They're going to give him a phone call. He'll call you. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. Be safe driving. Okay. >> Thank you. >> Yes, ma'am. out of here. [snorts] >> So, I'm done talking to you now. >> I ain't no criminal. I ain't done nothing wrong. >> You have a warrant for your arrest. So, >> wait to be dropped in the morning. You'll see that. Okay. >> That was my That was That was the one that uh had put the warrant on me. I was talking to my ass wife. >> Okay. >> Oh, yeah. A >> second. I'll get you out. Okay. All right, partner. Watch your step. Okay, there you go. >> We just going to go to that light right over there. Man, I spent more time here than I care to admit. I feel bad for these jailers. You know, it's just like being locked up, you know, stuck in stuck in here all day. >> We'll just hop up on them yellow dots right face wall. I'm searching one more time. I'll get you out of these handcuffs. Okay. You back up a little bit. Get in front of you. All right. You're a good boss. >> We'll let got to get them >> put my pockets back. >> Okay. >> They're probably going to search you again because that's what they like to do. >> Okay. >> Um that Yeah. They'll have you just still and you know the deal with so like some things, right? Right. So like an order of protection like a war like a violation of it is a misdemeanor. And so officers traditionally have discretion on misdemeanor. Like I can't tell you how many damn weed bags I done not charged by. You know what I mean? But the problem with protection orders is they're signed by a judge. >> And so if I disobey a judge, >> then I'm held in contempt of court. You know what I mean? So they take they take that serious. >> Yeah. That's the thing. See, she she she said that she uh went ahead and done it, but she uh I guess she hasn't. I don't I don't I don't know how she's I don't know how she would drop it. You know what I mean? He he's been with me uh he comes over almost every other day >> and it was over my son, you know. >> Oh, okay. >> So, I mean, >> and I and I say this with all due respect. I really do cuz I don't know y'all. How bright is she? >> Oh, she's smart. >> She's smart. Then she probably got it figured out. >> Yeah. And you know, these these people in here like take their time. So, I mean, I don't see I don't see her uh having another one against me when he's been with me. You know, he comes over all. You don't never know how women are. >> No, no, no, you don't. >> They're all They're all about half nuts anyway. >> That's a fact. Even the good ones. >> Yeah. Even the good ones. >> Did he have a messed up arm or something? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah, I've seen him before. >> Yeah, that's my oldest boy. >> Yeah, I was over at old Todd's house a while back and he You know how Todd is, right? You know, so I >> I was over at Todd's and he just creeped on over just was seeing what was going on. >> Yeah. That's my mom's old That's my mom's old place right there where he lives. Right right across from Todd. >> Mhm. Yeah. And there's that lady that lives next to him. >> Kim. >> Kim. Mhm. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> She's a better wife. [laughter] >> Well, I know Todd pretty well. You know, I've had a I've had plenty of dealings with Todd, which, you know, say what you want, right? He's never been combative or anything with me, right? So, >> I I think he's just got some uh >> he's got some issues. >> He's got some problems. Yeah. He's kind of like his daddy was. >> Oh, the daddy like that. >> He He was Yeah, his daddy died. >> Well, >> kind of kind of like him. You know, the drinking problem, takes things a little. I don't know. >> No, I know what you're saying. >> You know, I always try to anytime I ever got to deal with Todd, I try to be respectful. always call his mama, you know, cuz his mom, you know, she puts up with a lot, you know, >> you leave her in that house. >> She deserves to know. >> Yeah, he's he ain't a thief. I mean, that's the one thing I will say about it. He He ain't a thief. >> No, I don't think he is either. >> He He just He hits the bottle in the sauce a little too hard. >> Yeah. Yeah, he does. He does. He's got to drink whiskey about every day. >> Mhm. Every time I've ever ran into him, he's got he's got some kind of liquor on whether it's vodka or whiskey or whatever, >> you know. And he's a big man, so he's got to drink a lot. >> Yeah. Yeah, he's tall. He's definitely tall. >> He's tall. First time First time I ever ran into him, he was We were trying to figure out what was wrong with him. He's laying on the ground and he stood up and I was like, "Oh, hell." >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Like, you're a lot bigger than I expected. You be a handful. >> He'd be a handful. He does have that He does have that one bone leg though. >> So, I just go for that leg, I guess. >> Yeah, man. If you just hop into that uh that big machine right there. >> Hop in here. >> Uh yeah, this metal thing right here. You just stand on them yellow footprints. What's up, man? >> Um you mind uh putting him through the stand up for me? I left his property in the car. I need to go get his property.
