This is Tariq Randolph, a man who chose poorly when it came to choosing friends during his stint in prison. Instead of spending time with his young daughter, Randolph chose to hang out with his friend Chase Mouse Robinson and his girlfriend Sydney Buell. Robinson and Buell convinced Randolph to join them when they robbed an apartment. Bule was sent in first to make sure the victims would be caught off guard. Robinson and Randolph, carrying guns, soon joined her. Randolph believed it was just going to be a simple robbery, but Robinson fired his weapon multiple times and struck Devonte Jackson, who was visiting the apartment to play video games. Jackson managed to drive himself to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Okay. Where you been laying your head at? Uh 7. I I really ain't been nowhere. Okay. Where's the last place you laid your head at? Do you remember? Girl's house. Mama's house. Tallahassee. Tallahassee. How long ago was that? Cuz we got you in Jacksonville today, right? That's where you were picked up. Where Where was that at? Whose house is that? I guess. That's okay. What's her name? Deonyie Mlan. Devony McCloud. Okay. How old your child? So, prior to you said you were staying in Tallahassee. How long were you in Tallahassee? A couple months. Couple months. But you grew up in Jacksonville. Born in Jacksonville. Mhm. What side of town did you stay on? West. West side. Where at? Sweetwater area. Okay. So, you're pretty familiar with pretty familiar west side. Mhm. You familiar with um it's an apartment complex over at like Wilson and 295. That's entrance. You familiar with that area? My brother's still. Your brother does? What's your brother's name? Dante. Dante. Like blood brother or street brother? No. like my homeboy. Okay. What's his last name? Lar. Okay. So, he stays in that apartment complex. Okay. Do you know what unit? Okay, sir. How long has he been out there? Years. When was the last time you were there? said couple couple days ago. Do you remember when that was just pulled up house and backed up enough? You just did what now? I'm sorry. He pulled up at his house and backed up enough. He st Oh, you're with him? Mhm. Okay. What does he drive? Um, Charger. Charger. Okay. So, that was a couple days ago you were there. Mhm. When was the time last that you remember before then? Okay. Um, and when you went there with him the other day, you just stayed in the car the whole time. Mhm. Okay. I'm going to show you a picture. It's a little blurry. Um, just want to see if you might recognize who's Mhm. I recognize that shirt. Mhm. Who's that? That's you. Okay. What was going on? Um, a situation happened. The situation happened in Iran. Yes, sir. Okay. What was the situation? Um, a guy was committed some kind of crime and I I ran away from um they tried to get me in the car with him and I left him. Okay. I didn't need a new car with them and I ran. They tried to follow me. I ran. I kept running to the gas station and I got a ride. Somebody got me. Okay. And then they kept calling me, but I was talking to him after that. All right. Well, let's um let's do this. Um because it's important for me cuz I can tell you're upset. Um, it's important for me to understand what you remember and exactly what your part and everything is, right? I I don't have a part at all. Okay. So, tell me just they they went to do something and I told him, "No, I wasn't doing it. My brother stayed right there. You can call my brother and ask him." I ran to his door. I knocked on his door. I beat on his door. He didn't let me in. This girl came to the door. She was scared and I screamed his name. I was like, "Dante, Dante, let me in." He didn't let me in. So, I ran. I ran across the street and I told the dude across the street, "I need to use the phone." Mhm. I need to go. And they kept following me. And um I end up kept running. He told me I couldn't go through there. So, I end up kept running and I ran to the circle and they gave me a ride from the circ. I don't even know who there was. It was a black car. They just gave me a ride. Oh, you don't even know who you you said you called for help. I did. I tried to call my brother and he didn't believe it was me. Okay. So, I kept calling him. He was like, "Bro, this is not this is not you. This is not you." I was like, "Bro, please, bro. Just help me, bro. Please, bro." Given Randolph's criminal history, his brother likely refused to let him in to avoid becoming an accessory to whatever Randolph may have done. He was like, "This is not you." I was like, "Bro, my baby mama is definitely not even a cloud." He was like, "This is not you." So I was like, "Bro, can you just can you help me?" I asked the dude, "Can you help me?" And I tried to run through the back of there cuz it kept coming. Um they told me I couldn't go through the back. So I took my jacket off and I ran to try to change. And um I see him again, matter of fact, and I was running and I end up getting to the Circle K. And I got in the back of the car, he passed by. They kept asking me why they passed by again. By that time the ambulance and stuff was um coming and stuff so I knew something had to happen but they had them pass by again. They kept circling. Who are they? Um it was a white dude and a white girl I was in prison with. Oh, you're in prison with So how did you end up with him that night? Um he had pulled up to my brother house. This is Chase Robinson and Sydney Bule. Robinson met Randolph in prison and he was known to have a short temper. He was also quick to resort to violence. Bule wasn't armed since she was meant to distract the victims and lower their guard, making it easier for Randolph and Robinson to get into the apartment. The um the handout and stuff, the one inside the apartment complex or another one? Yeah, the same one. But we ain't pull up out there. We got met up at the park and stuff. I end up getting in the car with them. So when we pulled up out there to go get dropped off, he said he knew somebody out there. So they went and what did that but I went to my brother house and I ran knocked on the door when he went in the house cuz he had a gun or whatever. So what kind of gun was it? I'm not sure what it look like. It was a black gun. Like a long gun a pistol like a a rifle old rifle like a rifle like a Okay. rifle. But um I went to my brother house and knocked on the door and he let me in. Like I said, you can call him right now and just ask him 904930. It's in my phone. It's 930. But yeah, but I ran to his door and knocked on his door. Okay. Let me ask you this. Did you Were you um when you saw the I'm guessing the white guy pulled out the rifle? Mhm. Were y'all at the apartment he was talking about? Mhm. Where were we all at? On the sidewalk. On the sidewalk. Where at? I guess in that apartment complex like kind of walk me through. You come in through the gate. I think you have two buildings to your right. Then there's like a dumpster thing to your left. You go up a little bit. There's a pool to your left and some more apartment buildings. We're like right on the side of your brother's building. That's why I thought the random brother. Which one is your brother's building? He stay right in the front. Like the first building, second building, right when you come in. You make a brief right. And it's right on the corner. Which one of those would it be? apartment right now. This is his apartment. So, we will not rent. You circle that for me just so I know where it's at. Okay. That's his apartment. So, your brother's apartment's right there. And were y'all parked over there? Um, yeah, we did parked right there. What kind of vehicle were they in? A truck. I'm not sure what kind of truck it was. Like a truck truck like a pickup truck or SUV? SUV. Okay. Where did y'all park at? Like somewhere right there in front of the building. Did y'all pull in facing forward? Did you back in? Pull out forward. Okay. Who was driving? Girl. Okay. Do you know the girl's name at all? What about the What about the guy? The white dude. I just knew mouse. Mouse. He goes by Mouse. Y'all were in prison again. When was that? I've been out of prison probably going over a year now. About a year. But I went to I had to come to do a county jail. So I'm not I'm not sure. I'm not sure. Gotcha. How'd y'all hook back up? Oh, he hit me up on Facebook. On Facebook? What's your Facebook? Instagraming. If I show you a picture of him or her, would you know who they are? Is that him? That's Mouse. You think that's her? I'm trying to see. H I'm trying to see if I can do that tattoo. Like I said, they had just pulled up. Yeah. We was hanging out or whatever. Got no smoke. Pulled up. I pulled up over there to get dro. So y'all weren't together before that or anything? No. He said, "Y'all he pulled up an apartment complex and you were already there?" No, we went in apartment complex when I pulled up at the park. Which part? Um I think it's called Street Free Water Park. It's a church by the park. Where's that at? Wilson. Wilson. You said you've talked to them since. Yeah. What was that about? They just kept trying to keep in contact with me. I don't know. They've been trying to talk to him. Was that via phone or was that via Instagram or? Yeah, via phone. Okay. So, his phone number be in your phone? Uh, no. Or a phone number. It probably would, but you know how iPhones is the contacts scroll out. I see you call so many times. Gotcha. I guess it's like when it refresh when you call so many people. Mhm. But I haven't talked to him that much. But he be trying to call me and talk to me. I know it. So when you got picked up at the Circle K by you said just somebody in a black charger. No, it wasn't black charger. It was a black car. Oh, okay. Just a black car. Um where did you go? To my grandma's house. That spot is where I Where's that at? Esther Street. On Esther Street. So whoever picked you up picked you up from Circle K right there at was that old Middberg. Somebody up there already. Gotcha. But it was uh Old Middberg and Wilson right there just down from the apartment complex. And then they took you to Esther. Okay. When was the last time you talked to either one of those people? Gotcha. What was that conversation about? And you know, if you don't mind speak up, my hearing sucks, so I can't really hear without. I think he was trying to ask me where I was at. He was trying to come over or something. Okay. And two of I was with my family with my big with my daughter. Did he talk about that uh incident or whatever that he was involved in? No, sir. No. Okay. All right. Um, honestly, yeah. Is there anywhere I could be able to go home today? Randolph is hoping that by cooperating, he will be allowed to leave. If this had been a smaller crime, this might have been possible. Since this is a murder investigation, he will likely have to spend at least one night while they determine whether or not bonding will be an option. I recently released another exclusive Patreon video exposing a chilling incident where a man unleashed his rage by committing a shocking act of violence against an innocent 15-year-old. This heart-wrenching video shows interrogation of Cody, the man behind this horrible crime. Watch the full video and more at patreon.com/strangerstories plus. I don't know, man. We're having to figure some things out right now. Um, honestly, like would you I mean, you were picked up on a warrant. We're trying to figure some things out. Um, cuz I mean, we're both detectives with the homicide unit. All right. So, we're trying to figure out what happened took place over there on Wilson Boulevard. Um, and it would be beneficial for you to help us out in that situation cuz you're a dad, right? Mhm. Um, you want to see your kid grow up, right? your kids life. Correct. Um, so it's talking to us and being helpful and giving us the information that we need. If you if you could call my brother, what's And match up like he'll tell you. I I beat on the door. Okay. And I was trying to get away like Okay. Well, walk do me a favor. And you can see they'll try to follow me. If you look on the camera, you got that camera. You should have a camera on the video. They trying to follow me. Walk us through from the time they pick you up from Sweetwater Park to you're running away from whatever it is they're getting into. What do you do from beginning to end? Yeah. But what time do they pick you up at the park? I don't know. It was dark outside. I was chilling with my brother. We set apart. He had him went to the house already to pee. We went back to the park. We was smoking. He pulled up. He had them call me or whatever. He had them pulled up. So I got in the car with them. I told my brother I was going to go with them until we was smoking or whatever. So we end up going to the apartments after we got done smoking. Whatever. I told him I was going to go in the house with my brother and get out there. He said he know somebody. So he go to putting out the rifle and stuff. I'm like, now when you're saying he's pulling out the rifle, is he getting out? Do you see it when he's getting out of the car with it? Yeah. I'm already out of the car. I'm going to get ready. We going to get ready to get out the car. Mhm. We're going to go in the house. He go to pull out the rifle like he know somebody here. He's going to go get something. So I go the opposite way. I be lying. I go to my brother house. I beat on the door. Knock on the door. He don't come to the door. But I hear him and I'm moving. But after it's over with and stuff, he end up telling me it was his girlfriend come to the door and she was scared because she didn't know who it was. But when I said T, she didn't know what to open the door or not. Okay. He told me he was in the shower. So as I beat on the door and stuff, I can hear him moving and stuff. So I ran out the stairs. I can hear the door knob kind of twist, but I keep going. Mhm. Cuz I'm scared now. So I ran out. I run, get out the apartments, go across the street. Um I get over there. I asked the dude, "Can I use your phone?" Yeah. He kind of skeptical and stuff. I'm kind of scared. I'm in there. I'm looking I'm looking trying to get away type and um I'm looking on the desk and stuff to see if I can see a phone in there. He end up like coming around the bus. He was spraying the bus and I coming around the bus. I asked him, "Can I use your phone? I'm trying to get home." Um like, "What's going on? Get out of trouble." Like, "No, I'm not in trouble. I'm just scared. I think they trying to kill me." you could talk to him and ask him. I said, "I think they trying to kill me." So, um, I end up using this phone. Um, the first couple calls didn't go through. I think I called my granddad. Then the second call I called my brother, my little brother, my sister, my baby, my little brother. Mhm. Um, and he said, "Um, this is not you. This is not you." But I'm like scared though. I'm like, "Bro, this is me, brother T. I'm trying to get to the hospital. just come get me, bro. They got you know what I'm saying? Turn around. So he like, "No, this not you." So he hang up. So I asked the dude, I'm like, "Just let me use it for a couple more seconds." I use it again. I call him like, "Bro, my baby mama named my name." He like, "No, it's not you." So I hang up. So right thing and then I just procrastinate for a second. I try to go the other way and go out the back cuz they keep passing by and stuff. They trying to get me in the car after they leave. So they coming and talking to you when they're trying to get you in the car. No, they're not talking to me. They just passing by. You see them keep passing by? Yeah, I see them keep passing by. So I'm like not trying to get in the car with them. If you I don't know if you can see the camera. They got a camera facing the road, but you can probably see him coming. You can see it. keep doubling back. But um I try to run through the back of it if he won't let me out in the back. So I'm trying to get through the front cuz now you got to go. So I run to the 7K. That's where I get my ride from. What floor does your brother live on? The second floor. Second floor. So you pull up to the apartment with them. Mouse gets out with a rifle. At what point are you scared in running from them? I guess I'm trying to figure out why you're scared. Because he pulled out a rifle out of nowhere, but that just made you scared enough to run away. Yeah. Okay. So, when you're It is dark outside. You putting on a rifle like While mostly true, Randolph's story is missing a few key details. He and Robinson were lying in wait while Bule talked her way into the apartment and Randolph had agreed to participate in the robbery. Once the plan was set into motion, he began to have second thoughts. It was only after the shooting took place that he ran. And first of all, I knew you had the rifle. So, we get to my brother house and I want to get out of the car. Now, you got a rifle. So, I run away. I go upstairs. You feel me? Knock on the door. They let me in. They trying to come to the door, but then I hear a shifting and stuff. I hear a door out, but by that time I'm going down the stairs. I ain't even turn around cuz he right there with a rifle. So I just keep going right out the apartment. Um but I was laying down. I was trying to hide for a second and I was laying down on like right there on the side of the road in the bushes. Um I think it's a bus stop right there like the dugout area. I was there for a second. So, there's a couple things I'd like to ask you for. Um, because you're being very cooperative and um, you know, it sounds like it was a rough night all in all that night. A couple things that I would like to ask you for. Um, and I know your DNA is in the system already, but we are uh, I'd like to ask you for a sample of your DNA. Um, it's up to you whether or not you'd be willing to give that. it's in the system already, but this would just allow us to get it more quickly if it came up on something and we can say, okay, well, you know, or if it doesn't because you said you weren't with them at all, so that would help us determine that you weren't there. Um, the other thing I would like to ask you for is um it sounds like you had some conversations or some attempted conversations between you and mouse or and them two on your phone. So, I'd like to ask you for your permission to look into your phone to verify those. I got a another phone. I got two iPhones. Uhhuh. The other iPhone number that he be trying to call me on is um 904775 0. It's the Sierra Mackenzie. That's my girlfriend name. Um [Music] 775 367 0367. You said that's an iPhone. Yes. 13 Pro Max. iPhone 13 Pro Max. Where's the iPhone at? Yeah. Okay. Um so if you're willing to do that, I would get you sign a couple forms for me. I'd run get that stuff done real quick and we come back in and finish talking. Would you be willing to do that? I asked him a question. Is it possible? Probably not. But we gota I still want to be able to work through all this with you. Okay. Talk to my daughter. Your daughter? Yeah. They pointed guns at me and my daughter. I did something my daughter. I thought I Who pointed guns at you and your daughter? Whoever shot something on me. All those people they talking they point all the guns at When did that happen? Today. When they came and picked me up. When the officers picked you up. Yeah. Okay. Well, let me do this. Um, if we can get these forms signed and get started, I can get through with all the other stuff and maybe I can get you or what? Hm. Or what? Or what? What you said? Maybe you can get me on what? No, no. I said I was going to say maybe I'll be able to get you on the phone with your daughter or something. We would have to call your baby mama so you could talk to her. What's her phone number? Yeah. What I'm be What am I being jail for? Your warrant that your warrant. So, you have a warrant right now and the warrant is for murder and attempted robbery. That's why if you ain't got nothing to do with this, I want to hear everything. No. I'm going go to jail for that, bro. Hell no, bro. Hell no, bro. The news comes as a shock tool, who only expected to be charged for the robbery. The murder was not planned and Randolph believed that the gun would only be used to frighten the people that they were robbing. That's why we need to hear your side. Got who y'all digging for, man? Well, that's why we need to hear your entire side of the story, bro. We need you to fill holes. There's several holes that we need you to fill. A couple of those things like looking at these messages and stuff in your phone, that kind of stuff would help us a lot. help clear you. Yep, man. Bro, I I'm still going to jail. That's not going to clear me, bro. I'm trying to go home with my daughter, bro. Y'all took me away with my daughter, bro. They put guns in my daughter face. They put But that's it. You may still go to jail today, but if you can clear yourself when you want to have that opportunity, I'm clear myself 3 years from now. 5 years from now. Huh? It's better than life, ain't it, man? It's crazy, man. [ __ ] Wicked, bro. You playing a weird ass game. I am, man. It's definitely not a game, bro. I mean, somebody got killed. So, if you you didn't have any involvement, now is your chance to uh say you weren't involved in it and show us that you weren't involved in it. I mean, cuz if you're not going to sit here and tell us what we what we want to hear and you being honest with you, we can only feel that you were involved. Yeah. I don't feel like I'm being honest. Well, let me let me tell you this, bro. I've been working this case since Sunday and I've got over a 100 hours invested in this. I have talked to numerous witnesses, the people that were in that apartment, the two people that you already identified, talked to the guy that got shot at before this happened. All right. So, for me, and what I tell everyone that comes in here is the best apology is to sit here and tell the truth. It would do me no good to come in here and not have done my homework. You said the guy that got shot at before. And you know what I'm talking about. All right. So, if you would like to help yourself by being 100% truthful. You said the guy got If you would like If you would like to know, he said they shot at him. If you would like to be able to help yourself, they shot at him. Who do you Who shot at him? Tell me who shot at him. Cuz you told her what you gave me was a really good story, but what it was was a story. and I can finish it by putting the end. But if you want to sit here and write a book and tell me the truth about what happened, which is what can ultimately help you, then that's what you need to do. All right? Cuz like I said, you're the last person I'm talking to. You can't speak to my brother now. I'll definitely going to talk to your brother. I promise. Like, man, I promise. Like, oh yeah, we know that. I believe you. I believe you went up and knocked on his door. I got no doubt in my mind that you probably ran and knocked on his door. But it's the what we need before you went to your brother's house. I'm saying before that, bro, I had nothing like Come on, man. All right, let's start it over. Clean. All right, let's start it over. You be 100%. We're 100 clean slate, man. Clean slate. Let's go. They went to do something they had no business. What does that mean? Is it something mouse wanted to go do? I don't know. They had plans. They had They had to see the plan. They had a plan already, bro. Who was they? Mouse and the girl. No. [Music] Okay. What was it they had planned? They're going to do a lick. Walk me through from the first time that day that you got in contact with Mouse and the girl. That's what's going to work. The only thing that works in here is the truth. I wouldn't be talking to you if I didn't already know. But I got to hear it from you. I was talking about I had to go to my job. I had to um pick up my pay card. I really got my pay card. Where's that at? I work in Orange Park. Orange Park. What do you do out there? Okay. Warehouse called Whiplash. What's it called? Whiplash. Whiplash. Okay. So, you went out there to get your paycheck. Who took you out there? Mouse. Mouse. And what time was that? I'm not either. I'm not going to lie. I don't want to tell. That's fine. During the day? Yeah. Before lunch? After lunch? Probably up around that time. Up around lunchtime. Yeah. Okay, that's fine. Fair. What' you do after you picked up your paycheck? Went to other store. Got a black mom. We left there. We left there. After we left, I don't know where we went. I don't know where we went. We kind of went to um area. Okay. But we were just loafing all day. Just you and mouse or was it you, mouse, and the girl? Okay. When do y'all pick up the girl? Um, I didn't even go in to pick up. He dropped me off and came back and got me. Okay. He came back and got me. Where were you at when he came back and got you? Wilson. At the wall. I had water to the wall. Okay. Where do you all go from there? We still lo and stuff. So this is still daytime. Yeah, still daytime. Still get dark [ __ ] People buying drugs. I don't even smoke that though. I don't know what they buy, but they buy some [ __ ] I was in the back seat, too. Where was that at? No, I'm saying we was just running around. I was in the back seat, too. Oh, yeah. But you were saying they went to buy drugs. Oh, yeah. Cass. Okay. I'm thinking. Was it daytime or night time though? Night time. Yeah. Tell me about that. You just got out. They went out there. I stood on the side of the car smoking my black cuz he don't let me smoke the black in the car. He said his mom car. So I stood on the side of the car smoking the black. She went out there and got her whatever. She was in the car still. She came back got back in the car left. He was still loafing smoking and stuff. I'm trying to be honest. So I miss take your time, bro. Um, we end up going to school park. I believe that's when I got my brother and stuff. Got in the car with him. They stayed at the park. We went to the apartments. He went upstairs. I was moving wheel. He went upstairs, used the bathroom, get back in the car, go back to the apartment. So you and your brother go back to the park. Yeah. Okay. Just me and him go back to the park. Get in the car with him and then get in the car with them. Talking about they want to get some more [ __ ] They got to play around. So we jump out again. Where's this at? We pull back up to the apartment. Yeah. Get out of the car, but we get back in the car. I get back in the car and um pull back over. Yeah, they found the [ __ ] part. So we end up parking. You get off the gun. His girl go out there first. She go upstairs. She buy whatever. She come right [Music] in. He ran in there. Is that what you said? I'm sorry. I can't hear you very good. All right. So, he runs in. Where do you go? Run where? Okay. Randolph is still trying to convince the detective that he was little more than a bystander who got caught up in someone else's crime. He may not have been the mastermind, but he knew exactly what he was getting himself into. What's going on? Do you hear anybody? What are you hearing? Now, let me ask you this, and it's you're being almost 100% truthful. I I know you are. I'm being 100% truthful. I ain't got nothing to do with it. So, I know that. Let me say this. I want to understand what he ran there and I ran. And I'll tell you what I what I believe and I'll tell you um this 100%. I know you didn't shoot nobody. I know that I would bet my year salary that you did not shoot a single person. All right. I also would bet that you didn't know a single person in that apartment and that you did not um set that up. Okay. Um, but I do think that you were there to participate in a lick. Okay. And that's that's that is what it is. I'm going tell you this. When we pulled up out there, I like I was down with it and stuff until I seen it. What' you do with the shotgun? That's why I say I need you to be 100% honest with me. And we know you didn't you didn't shoot nobody. I know you didn't. We know you didn't. We already know who did. It wasn't you. Cuz out of the four people that were in that apartment, one's dead and the other three are alive. Okay. So, I mean, that's why I say when I ask you these questions, I'd know the answer to most of them. If I didn't, I'd be stupid to ask you them because then you could tell me whatever and I'd have to believe it. Right? So, I know that y'all go up there. I know that her name's Sydney, by the way. I know that Sydney knocks on the door. Sydney goes in. Sydney comes out. I know Mouse goes in. I know that you're right there, but you don't go in. But I also know you had a shotgun. I know you didn't shoot it. But I also know that when you came across Wilson Boulevard running to call use that guy's phone at the bus place that you didn't have that shotgun with you. So what' you do with a shotgun? Somebody bought it. Somebody bought it. But what' you do with it that night? Where at? You're this far, man. There's only one way to go. That's all the way in. I'm going to jail for murder, but I ain't killing anything. And I can explain that to you, but finish telling me what happened. Where'd you see? [ __ ] What the [ __ ] is shotgun? Did you toss it before you jump that fence? She had a shotgun. The girl had the shotgun. I dropped it and ran. You dropped it and I ran. Gave it to her. So Sydney took the shotgun. Did you drop it when you started running down the apartment stairs? Okay, that's fair, bro. That's fair. Nothing wrong with that. So, let me ask you, and just like I did before, it's taken a whole lot for you to say all that. I know it has. I'm talking about I'm gone forever, bro. I already know. Well, would you be willing to do those two things I asked you to do? Give me those two consent for your phone and for your DNA? I'm gone forever, man. Y'all already told my daughter got I got sucked into some [ __ ] bro. Like I'm already in this [ __ ] bro. I just need to tell my daughter I know I'm not going home, bro. You're not. Is there anything else that you can tell me? Hey Can you explain me how the chart would move? Yes. So, in the state of Florida, there's a um law that's called the principal theory. Okay. So, what that means is if you are part of a felony, if you are part of a felony crime, i.e. robbery and someone dies during the commission of that robbery. Even if you didn't go through with it, even if you didn't pull the trigger, even if you ran, then you still are guilty of murder. Okay? And that's the principal theory in the state of Florida. All right? And truly, it could be as simple as you planning it, showing up, and never participating in it. Okay? That's why if you have anything on your phone or anything like that that could help clear you from this, give me consent to go in there. I will find it and I'll you I'll say, "Hey, provided to the state. [Music] It's your job to convict me, bro. No, it's my it's my job to get the truth. Um, so far you've been fairly truthful and I'm really appreciative of it. I'm actually very surprised of it cuz a lot of people don't come in here and do that. All right. Myitch, you want to know what my job is? I'm snitching, bro. You ain't snitching. How's that snitching? I thought y'all wanted to go home with my daughter, bro. I ain't got nothing to do with this [ __ ] bro. Tell Rob nobody, bro. Well, that was the plan, right? No. So, what was the plan? She went there to buy some [ __ ] drugs, bro. She went out to buy some drugs, bro. She wanted to buy some drugs, bro. He was He came out there, bro. [ __ ] went out to sell the [ __ ] shotgun. Who'd you sell the shotgun to? [ __ ] went out to try to sell the shot, bro. Tra that night. You were wearing that multicolored shirt, but you had a black jacket on and jeans like those basically, right? Were those the jeans you were wearing? It's hard to see, but when you go to a place that has a Ring doorbell camera right across and she comes up the stairs first and goes inside and then you and him come up with those weapons and he rushes in and you rush down. I ain't going in. I know you didn't, but you but you went there with a shotgun with him with a rifle and the intent was to hit a lick. That's what it was. You can't you can't sugar coat it. You can't hide it. It was not the best welloughtout plan. All right. But I you have told pretty much the truth. But that's you down there in the corner. I mean, I can get out the video and do it even more, but So you know I'm got to do like you know like I said in the state of Florida it's part of the principal theory but it does not mean that you being 100% honest. So that won't help you. I can't get this I can't get this murder off me. I can still robbery as of right now as of today. No. But we don't know what the future holds down the road either. And I don't know what prosecutors and defense attorneys do. It's going to be 3 years and 5 years or not, man. I I'm not going to sugarcoat it, man. Yeah, it's going to be a while. Mhm. It's a robbery that someone died in. You didn't mean for it to happen. Sydney didn't mean for it to happen. I don't know about mouse, but guess what? Guess who's facing the same thing you are and didn't even have a gun? Sydney. Sydney. But again, and like I explained to her, that's why it is so important for you to be 100% honest today because going forward in this whole thing when you're asked something and when something is brought up, I will always come forward and I will say Tariq told me 100% the truth from the day one. Now that he is facing a long prison sentence, Randolph is more willing to turn on Robinson and Bule. Unfortunately, he doesn't have an agreement in place that might get him a reduced sentence. She said it supposed to be a lit, bro. She set up and it was supposed to be a lit. I got scared. I ain't do it. I ain't God. At what point when mouse goes in when you say, "No, I'm already on the stairs." You're already on the stairs like the hell with this. I'm out. Yeah. I'm like turning down to go to down the stairs and I'm like had shots already been fired at that point. When do you hear the gunshots? I'm already down the stair. I'm well trying to run down the stairs. I'm coming up. I'm like right here and I hear I jump down the stair. She was right there. Do you see them when they leave? I was already gone. I honest to God I was already gone. It's fair. Mhm. So, where do you drop that shotgun at? On the stairs. On the stairs. Dropped it right there. Right now. Okay. Was that your shotgun or did you pick it up or was somebody in the car already in the car with him already? Okay. Now, as far as like you possession, was that something that mouse said, "Hey, take that shotgun so we can go do this." Or was it something you decided to grab? It was, like I said, it was already something that hit me up. All right, man. Uh, take a breath. Take a minute. I'm going to step out real quick. Make sure there's nothing else I need to ask you. All right. Yeah, I'm going to go at it for like two hours. No, I promise you it ain't. I have been working way too long this week. Let me get this done as quick as I can. All right. Let me ask you this real quick. Um, because I know you said you'd had you had spoken out since that happened. Did he talk about what happened inside the apartment at all? I just want an honest answer from me. If he had talked about shooting that guy, if he made any comments or what he did, what happened inside of it? [Music] No, he didn't say anything. The first time he call me trying to say something on my own. Look at the news or something like that. He told you to look at the news? Yeah, he said you need to look at the news. Who sold the shotgun? What you mean? You said it was sold. Who sold it? I believe he did. One of them did. Okay. Chase or or Mouse or Sigma did? Yeah. So, did you ever did he ever bring that shotgun back to you? He couldn't sell it the first time either. So, he brought it to you and what was that for? To get you to try and sell it? Mhm. So, where's the shotgun at right now? Is that your grandmama's house? Where your baby mama's house? It's important, man. I'm not sure where it's at, honestly. It might be at my either at my grandma house. It's either at your grandma house or your baby mom's house. You see that little brother house coming home? Either at your brother's as in the apartment. No, my other brother. My homeboy. I'm sorry. Which one is that? You don't know the address? Is it on the west side? What's his name? Okay. All right. Well, hang tight for me. All right. Can I Can I speak to my daughter, please? Give me a little bit. I'll see what I can do. Somebody told me that earlier, man. I'm not I'm not going to lie to you. Give me a minute and I'll see what I can do. Yeah. How long you going to be? I'm trying to get out. Okay. You going to be You going to be gone for a second? 10 minutes. Okay. Hey, bro. I told you I was going to be gone. Come on up here. Um, before we did this [ __ ] bro. Hey, real quick. Let me ask you something, bro. Let me ask you something. Um, and then we'll start getting through all this. How far did you actually go up there? Were you at the door and you turned around? That kind of thing. What What kind of kind of paint a picture in my head of where everybody was? I started at a door. You stopped at the door and the door was open. Okay. So, you could see in the apartment, but you didn't go in. Okay. All right. You said you have another phone at the house. It's at my grandma house. Is that your grandma's house? Mhm. Okay. What kind of phone is that? The Apple iPhone 13. Max. Yeah. Okay. Which one of those phones did you have that night? The 13. The 13. That's the one that's at your grandma's house. All right. Um I have off Your grandma lives on Esther. Mhm. Okay. If because you've I mean you've gone this far. You you're you're what I like to say pot committed, bro. Everything you can do from this point kind of helps you more than it hurts. All right. Um, I would like to have that phone. If I gave you the number, gave you my phone to call your grandma and I had an officer go over there, could you have her give you her phone? Give her give them your phone. my life, bro. So, listen, we all make mistakes. We do. All right. But I can say at least to this point, you're being 100% will and owning up to it. Think we could do that? Give your grandma a call. Otherwise, I'll probably end up having to do a search warrant to go to your grandma's house and get a phone. And I don't want to do that. I don't want to scare your grandma. Call her. You want to call her? What's her number? And what's her name? Vanessa. Vanessa. Vanessa. Okay. I'm going to put on speaker and I'm going to say, "Hey, I'm here with you." And I'm going to let you talk to her. Okay. Can I call my daughter, please? I'll let you call your daughter after we get done. Deal. That fair. Like I said, I'm not gonna The one thing I'm not going to do is lie to you. Okay. I'm a man of my word. Okay. All right. Please leave your message for 949. He's doing He lives there. What's his name? Jamar. Jamar. Okay. What's his number? So I'm trying to murder like Hello. Hey Jamar. AJ, where you at? I'm charged with murder, man. Oh, man. They got what? They got they they they got anything against you? I don't know. They got they got me on. I'm in the I'm in the investigation room right now. [ __ ] that if without evidence they most time they they can't they can't hit you with anything or whatever. You going to really need a lawyer this time. This [ __ ] over man. You can't say nothing to incriminate yourself or whatever. If anything anything if you feel like you in a jam I don't want to see you. Hey, I was trying to figure out about the phone. Um, I left my phone at the house and I'm on the phone right now. This one investigator phone. This one of detective phone and they want to see my phone at the house. You said you the phone at the house. Yeah. Hey Jamar, my name is Detective Matthews. Um, I'm here with Tariq. He said that he his phone is a Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max and he said it's at the house and he wants to be able to give it to one of my partners. Randolph's family realizes he is going to be facing a different level of charges than he has in the past. There is little that they can do to help and even their advice is far too late to be useful. So, we're just trying to get with one of you guys to try and pick that up. Call me a word. Okay. I I tried calling his grandma and she didn't answer. Um, is there any way we can get a hold of somebody over there? No, that's that's that's it. My mom I'm at work. I'm about to get out the car like right now. Just turn 153. Yeah, I do. Okay, that's fine. All right. Well, I'll try and give her a call again. I can't really go into all that, but I can tell you that he has an arrest warrant um for murder. Okay. That don't even sound like I'm going have to get him a lawyer. Well, I mean that you can do what you need to do obviously, but as far as he goes, he's uh he's been willing to speak with me and he wants to provide me that phone. So, I'm trying to to orchestrate that for him. Okay. All right. I appreciate you. All right. Grandma's number was 523 number. No, sorry. Not two three. Not two three. My granddad stayed up too. So you can try my daughter. daughter and I apologize for that, man. Um just kind of like how you were saying you're upset about the stuff that happened that night. Our guys when they go places they don't know what to expect and sometimes they do things not that everybody likes. All right. That's just unfortunately that's kind of the baby. Please leave your message for God, this hell. Please leave your message for here. Let's do this. I'll let you call your daughter real quick. All right. You need to call your baby mama. Is that who number I'm call? Yeah. 616 5712. Do you think, let me ask you this. Um, when we get her under, do you think if she called your grandma, grandma would answer? She might. Okay. See if we can do that to you. Okay, there you go. [Music] Moon. Hello. Hey, Moon. Huh? What's up? What's up, baby? She with a Where you at? I'm at home. I need to talk to her. Call her real quick. Debbie, where are you at? I'm in the investigation room and they got me I got a warrant for murder. Oh, dolls. Sorry. I don't know. Yo, what's going on? What they talking about? Um, this the um this the detective phone here. I'm in here now. They got a warrant on me for 10 robbery and murder. How they going to have a warrant on you for that? Where he at? I need to talk to my baby, man. They point the gun at baby. Daddy. Daddy. Hey, baby. H baby, I probably won't be seeing you for a while, baby. You said what? I'm telling I probably won't be seeing her for a while. I love you. I love you. I love you, too, baby. Hello. Hey, I got your [ __ ] from house, too. All right. Damn, man. Bro, this [ __ ] like crazy, bro. Hey, um baby. Yes, baby. I'll tell you, one of y'all, um they trying to get my phone, the um the iPhone 13. It's at none of them house. So, they need one of y'all to get in contact with none of them. Who trying to get your phone? Detective. Damn, man. This [ __ ] bro. What the [ __ ] bro? Where's my car keys at? I got them right here. Those the only keys to your car. If those are the only keys to your car, we'll make sure we get them back to you. Damn, y'all. I don't understand how the [ __ ] they could have warn. I don't understand, bro. Cuz they got to do something. Uhuh. Bro, I'm going to jail. What's wrong? You ain't Tariq. You're not. They is. They say I'm going to jail. They going to book me right now. How? What's your baby mama's name? What do they have to say? What's baby mama's name? Devony. I I don't mean to cuss all that, but what proof do they have? They they got to come with more than that. They they got they got a picture and photo. Oh, it ain't you, Debbie. Uh, he's already show you the picture in the photo. Yeah, Debie, this is Detective Matthews. He's been in there speaking with us and he's wanting to cooperate with us as much as he can. He has offered to provide us his phone that's at his grandmother's house. Um, so we're just trying to see if somebody can get in contact with her. I tried calling her a couple times, she didn't answer. Um, if we can get somebody to just get in contact with her, I'll have a detective go by there and grab it. Otherwise, I'll end up having to do a search warrant. I really don't want to upset her by doing that either. So, if we can just get that process going, that would be uh very beneficial to everyone. Hey, if y'all thought I was if y'all thought they let me go today, bro, I'm getting booked for murder and attempted robbery, bro. You going to have to fight it. They got they have to come with more proof. How? How? How the [ __ ] We go up big trying to book somebody so they can try and Yeah, you got to be smart. All right. Well, yeah, they not dead outside my house. Hey, listen. This is Detective Matthews. Can I speak to my daughter, please? He's going to talk to his daughter one more time, but like I said, if we can get somebody to do that for us and just somebody call me back on this phone, we can get that done and and obviously not make any more any anybody more upset than it already is today. Um, but I'mma let him talk to his daughter one more time and then we're gonna hang up. Okay. Hey, my dad, I love you. Stinkle butt. Daddy, man. I see you for a while. Okay. I love you. Huh? I say I love you. Daddy get my stuff from you. They said they going to bring you the keys. I'm give you the key. You don't sound like you worried about a [ __ ] I don't worry about you. Hey, call up. If they give me a bunch, try to see call Jamar. Make sure y'all call Jamar and tell him your phone, [ __ ] You What you mean? I love y'all. I love y'all. I love you, too. I love you, baby. I love you. Love you, Mar. All right, so hopefully we can get that going. Um, they talking crazy. They don't even know y'all got [ __ ] Well, nobody knows what we have. Nobody knows. So, they're going to say stuff like that. You don't know everything we have. I'd be dumb to tell you everything. Okay. Um, that's why I just tell you it's in your best interest to be 100% honest with me. I think you are being real like I'm looking at life. I So I can't answer those questions. I don't know. That's not a That's not me lying. Okay. I just I don't know. All right. Um there are mandatory minimums for different sentences, but that's beyond my I don't I don't Okay. Um with all this going on, I know I asked you before, would you be willing to give me consent to go in those phones? I know you're g let me go grab it, but would you be willing to give me consent for it? Okay, that's fair. That's your option. All right. Um, so today you will go to jail. You be charged with uh the active warrant for attempted murder or I mean, sorry, attempted robbery and murder. Okay. Um, I believe that the attempted robbery charge has a bond of 250,000 and I believe that there is no bond on the murder. Okay. You'll go to first appearance tomorrow. And if they do decide to do a bond reduction of any type, that will be discussed sometime after that. Okay. You have any questions for me? This it [ __ ] crazy, though. All right. If you need something, bang on this door. Okay. Y get you out of here soon. During his interrogation, Randolph believed he wouldn't see his daughter for 10 to 15 years if he had known the truth. He might have fought harder for a better deal. Tariq Randolph was convicted of secondderee murder, attempted robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison. That'll do it for today. If you like this video and want to support the channel, there's a Patreon link in the description below where you can do just that.
