today we are learning new details about the woman accused of killing her father and six-year-old daughter Jesse was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when she was eight years old the mother Cheyenne Jesse reported the two missing to deputies yesterday morning she said maybe they were in Georgia turns out they weren't in Georgia they were just about a half mile down the road at the landlord's house contains the interrogation of a woman who murdered her father and daughter so her boyfriend wouldn't leave her in the summer of 2015 the relationship Cheyenne Jesse had with her boyfriend Cody Monroe was slowly falling apart Jesse's daughter Meredith from a previous relationship had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and neither adult knew how to handle the situation Monroe gave Jesse an ultimatum fix it or he was out Jesse was desperate she felt as if this was the first good relationship she had ever experienced and she was determined not to lose it she took her daughter to the home of her father Mark weekly there she shot and stabbed both before putting their bodies in totes and storage Subs she moved them to a storage shed belonging to a neighbor who was traveling Jesse had the only key and knew she had time to try to cover her actions Jesse spent two weeks cleaning the house before reporting her father and daughter missing less than 24 hours later she was arrested [Music] Cheyenne um like I said before I'm taking part this is coming back okay [Music] neither one of us got to talk to you earlier so we're going to probably ask you some questions you've already had before a few hair with us we'll travel this peaceful as we can about it all right and I'm a there might be a lot of questions you already asked okay but but I'm gonna start from from the beginning about how is because your first name spelled how would you spell your first name Nicole um yes that's my old address on there I've never changed it update yeah next door okay next door you're dead yes now what's your birthday um [Music] 89. hers is 5 2609 uh okay where is your daughter's name Meredith Ian Jesse l e e a n n one word um me but my dad was talking about lady kicker the and just until school starts so so this is the last time you dropped her off he's gonna y'all were talking about him taking her until school starts yeah until she gets straight because she behaves better for him she has oppositional deficiency okay basically where she's the word problems because she said that the police can't touch her and I said yeah they can they're pretty powerful people if you called the police on him before um no I haven't called the police on her before but I've had her big rapid um June was the first time and she had one done in July this year yes sir so she uh they corrected when she went to the doctor and they determined that or yeah she said I've seen this before and if you don't get a handle on it now and it yeah it can be seen some pretty work scenarios okay and that she is a chemical imbalance also in the brain is it did they say that it's hereditary or anything like that yeah with her dad having him and my mom having it that you know and then my grandma has it in my sits on my siblings Meredith had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder but there is some question as to whether or not that diagnosis was correct her biological father has uh Billy Salisbury Billy Lee Salisbury we're we're seeing a child's life no sir he hasn't seen her since she was not even a year old and I'd like him moving to Florida there's a s-a-l-i-s-b-u-r-y yes I can smell Salisbury steak how old is he um you said you before you moved to Florida where's he where's he at um he lives in Georgia somewhere like they're trying to find him the child support or pretty much all for life he handed this 50 brushed up there and say Don't call child support on me I said okay fifteen dollars yeah if I can afford it anyways it's like okay right you know he helped make hurting me know you should help raise her and that's when she was three years old y'all came out of Florida um fortunately a year old okay yeah she was a baby baby okay and who was a does she have a psychiatrist here and a medical doctor yes sir at beach River okay where's the medical doctor um do you know the doctor's names um it was supposed to be his lady um a deer but she's not there and then this other person and Mary deposit on that chance to go see that person yet did I have a doctor my Dad was supposed to take her to see him I told him I said she said they expected they're going to want to see her uh Monday morning and he said okay when when which one didn't win the following Monday that I dropped her off yeah I dropped her off on the 18th on Saturday very early in the morning before then I want to pick my fiance up from work okay so she was supposed to go to the doctor on Monday to see that medical doctor the psychiatrist um like a medical doctor and psychologist but she's supposed to get like a checkup room they they did it before uh basically it's like um when the patient comes out of the hospital they normally like in three days they follow up with them to make sure that they're still not wanting to honor themselves and everything okay you know um those are some some deputies were detected I wasn't out I didn't come when you called to file a report or whatever so this is my first time talking to me but you talked some detectives or that these at your dad's house yeah how did you get here um don't drive here oh you're right with him here okay did you come come here under arrest or anything like that did you come here because you wanted help or is it I wanted help finding my daughter and my dad like he texted us on my fiance's phone my phone was kind of jacked up that week okay um it was time for me to get minutes on my phone my data was slow so you you wanted to come here freely if you wanted to help you wanted to come here yeah I wanted to help I had my daughter we found okay we have we did okay um but it's in these amazing person cases the reason why if you're wondering the reason why I asked all these questions because believe it or not I've done this job a long time believe it or not I need to almost like know the whole her whole life and what she does and all that kind of stuff okay um so that's what we have so many questions so if she was supposed to go to the doctor in the 20th yeah do you know who's I know I don't though they told me and I let them know that my Dad was supposed to take um her and everything when did they come in um that day that she wasn't there okay so they called after they were barely didn't show up yeah and I'm like I calling my dad and it's like I call him his phone's turned off okay so and I know whenever he gets mad at me he turns the phone off he also told me when I dropped her off I don't know why you're putting her on his medicine and stuff when she's with me she acts perfectly fine okay we're on the 20th once I was the appointment and then first thing in the morning I don't I don't remember that because on my hours are so crazy do you remember about what time the daughter called you and said hey you know they come in um it was like an afternoon so afternoon time okay what is your cell phone number um 8633 so right after they called you were you at work that day when they called you um I don't remember like 11 to 4 sometimes uh Plant City Lowe's so when they called you on your cell phone um that you take the call or was it just a voicemail um one of the things the detectives usually have to determine when someone is reported missing is whether or not the missing person is just avoiding contact naturally when a child is involved the search begins much it like an hour later when you're able to get off the register or was it sometimes whenever anyone decides to okay whatever catch here hey cashier is there determines on all right well I'm gonna check the schedule see if anyone's gonna be the Earth One past year uh he's kind of um he forgets everyone to have a break okay but that that day specifically um do you remember they left your message do you remember about how long it was until you called your dad I just so remember exactly how many times I tried calling them over did they use I mean that day whenever the because he was supposed to take your daughter to the doctor away yeah and they're calling saying hey basically they haven't shown up or you did someone bring her to the doctor so did you try to call in your Dad just once yeah just one time and it went to voicemail straight voicemail yes is that odd for you guys told me to go straight to voicemail um was it Mexico sometimes it's like if it doesn't get taken also it's like turned off it's not only to sign off or anything or like sometimes he actually forgets to charge it okay so um Metro's been giving him so much problems so but when I say they give you so what service go um last time I talked to him like a couple weeks my family was down okay so but you can only remember calling him once on that Monday okay you try to go on back anytime that on that Monday later on we got off work or anything I'm not a member okay fall asleep [Music] because all this stuff is very important okay um I know when when your uh when was the the last time your your baby went to the doctor before if you you know what London was in July um so she got a Friday and they kept it for like a week um I think throughout Friday and Saturday I took the took her to him and they're not weak um her it went over to the 17 hour already hold and then she became voluntarily there when I went up there I was like I voiced my concern about how I don't know if this medicine was going to help or not because glass medicine didn't help and I told him about how I was afraid of her staying at the house because she comes to the door I actually had to lock my bedroom door because she's with her through the door I'm very glad the store is locked and she threatened me so many times and I just I just don't feel safe with her when I'm with her alone I normally I I have a door shut and I can see through a crack where she sleeps okay and I'm only wait until she's asleep before I go upstairs and I I haven't moved all the knives and everything from downstairs but since she's not been home for a week I've kind of been able to bring my eyes back out so I can cooked and everything okay um so she's hard to deal with yeah I've never I don't understand how to deal with the bipolar or child with disability so I just tell my dad well maybe if I sign my rights away to somebody who would be able to handle her and be able to like see if especially the dad's saying that she's flying around him I guess yeah Jesse sounds as if she struggles with Meredith especially when it comes to Meredith's mental health needs this can lead to frustration and hopelessness and unless there is intervention the outcome can potentially be Grim so you voice your concerns on Friday to the to East River is it peace um I was at the hospital when I was picking her up my boyfriend to them and what hospital um it was uh the Florida Central behavioral hospital okay what city is that well this time when she went to Orlando um we're wishing new bakery uh well she scratched her face up and so I was like wagon and [ __ ] I went upstairs and told her I said give me a second I'll turn TV on let me go changing the my comfortable clothes out of my jeans we just got done seeing my cousins they came in town um I went upstairs I came downstairs and I go baby come here and he goes what I said just come here look what she did you talk about Matthew yeah my fiance and he comes down and goes what did you do I said I don't know what she did and then she went all kinds of just like this everything doesn't revolve around me I'm like nothing rolls around anybody but like she wanted attention yeah okay and then like I just said I don't know what to do with this I I don't know what to do well so I mean did you take her to the doctor that day or um we went we called East River and they weren't open so we waited then we took her that Monday and when we went there the lady goes well she seems fine now I'm like no this there's something wrong it's all over yeah she likes to pick at her skin welcome to the doctor see that yeah there's Dr senior scratches and I show them the video yeah it was well she's not acting like that now is what they said I'm like but they went and kept her though no they didn't want like she said if you want a big brother you got to take it to this place here or this place here so I just took her back to Lakeland Regional where she got a big breath the first time where he's really practically there but they considered to there and then they sent her to there and they go oh I remember you so who who centered do what I do um yeah because that's where they don't hold her age group there when is the last time that she was seen by the doctor for medical girlfriend for checkup I'm not a psychiatrics um regular checkup um I think it was like for kindergarten I figured there and no I had some blood work there and I don't remember what so what grade is she gonna be going and she's supposed to be going into the first grade okay before kindergarten here she met she didn't have any problems or sicknesses or checkups or anything throughout a year um they did some blood work though through the doctor and they've done a EEG with her brain they've uh centered to a Cardiologist I found out she has had bicuspids RV valve I think is what it's called so we got like 2 000 your heart instead of three it says nothing to be considered with just watch around everything so I kind of became like I'm overprotective I don't really let her go outside very much unless I'm out there when does she have blood work done what was that one uh they were trying to see what all she had like what medicines would work with her like if she was sick or yeah was that before kindergarten or was that out during the year that was during the year whenever they were trying the new doctors came with Peace River that I did take her to Grace Point and Grace Point just wanted to say Oxygen's ADHD well all ADHD medicine that they gave her wasn't [Music] um I have it in my my wallet it's metal something rather that attention yes sir okay I might try to make sure to keep on for Stuff yeah that there was this one and then it turned to that one so it's Magellan yeah my dad has copies of her insurance and I wrote a note and plus we could take her to there and I've also told him that at Peace River that he has authority to take her to appointment so that's why she can get proper help I just want the best help for her right and well tell me tell me about um you and your daughter's relationship what do you all normally do together and um I know she has issues well every time I go to try to tickle her and like you know Mama's food and try to love on her and stuff she turns the violence towards me she's not she's not my glasses off or they've broken up here several times she's choked me um she actually punched me in the stomach and I actually started spotting and I went to the doctor back in April because unfortunately I did practice and they said I was pregnant but not a spot and they didn't see the baby but it tests were positive so I went down to a clinic and I had had an abortion because my body was trying to have a miscarriage but while children can be surprisingly violent during these outbursts the story doesn't set quite right Jesse for various reasons could be exaggerating or lying entirely relationship um we kind of like we just held each other's problems and said before this he said I'm here for you for everything will help get her straight later on in life a little bit a lot maybe we'll have another one it depends on what real plan to have a job oh not really at this time in our relationship is early I don't want to build any joke I'm about a year now did you live with me how long have you lived with him uh since November I'm just 2014. yes and before that we've been with your father or the house instantly I was living in that house your father's house yeah it's my house he was supposed to uh just help me out with everything and he says that uh orders with the addresses in your license is 5205 drainville Road how far is that from your dozens that's my next that's where we were living when we first uh to Lakeland Junior Day yes I understand I don't want to worry about that but when did you first move to Lakeland um let's say we came down here before when I was a year old we stayed at in um March and then we moved to Lakeland then then we waited we lived there for about three years and then you moved to the house okay so you were there uh you were there I think your dad's current house or maybe a year or so before you moved to um with your boyfriend um not even almost a year okay and then so then you've been living with your boyfriend for a year so that makes it about fun and she got she now got kicked out of the school too okay um she went to um in Polk County um then she went to um the school right there in Hillsborough County it's a charter school Advantage Academy I started having all kinds of behavioral problems a lot of her behavioral problems started at when she was in VPK when she was at a plus Learning Center and I've always wondered did something happened there or anything and now maybe she played with me because you know Mama's supposed to protect me Mama wasn't there how old was she when she was there um she tried to go in there when she was about a year old recently I started getting cash assistance and I was on uh um food stands I'm selling food stamps but this is Matthew on food stamps as well um no okay um I just hadn't updated my food stamps yet how how would you classify on a scale of one to ten um to being the best how is you and Matthew's relationship um I say it's about a 10. really so you don't plan on getting married yeah we just want to just get my daughter help first and you know puts in years in between knowing each other's instead of like rushing into marriage like everybody else does in our age you know we're comfortable with each other's I felt safe I felt safer when I'm with him than I do when my daughter's hair with me alone and I try to make sure that I'm not alone with her because of her mentality so on a skill I know that your daughter has issues but on a skill of one to ten how would you classify your you and your daughter's relationship team being the best um I was trying to make it at least an eight but she but realistically yeah okay because every time I got a hug her she turns to violence with me and I'm like okay when I come home from work and I'm tired and I say give me just a little bit let me calm down from work and then we can play I we I try to use to take her out to do stuff when I had the money um we used to go see movies sometimes or go to a park but then she started becoming a little weird when it comes to strangers like she went out to a stranger and I shaved him and told her her whole whatever he knew if she need her address she probably would have told him that there was a um that happened at Lowe's when his parents took her with him so low as well that worked oh okay and he was Jesse is asked to rate her relationships with her boyfriend and daughter of course everyone wants their relationship to be a 10 but that is rarely the case and it is something that can fluctuate it is troubling that Jesse puts the blame for the negative relationship on her daughter especially since the revulsion for touch is often a symptom of various disorders and is not the child's fault so his parents know your child too yes and how would you classify Matthew's relationship with her daughter on a scale of 1 to 10 10 being the best um he was trying to make it like a 10 but of course yeah but he goes I don't know how to deal with her I've never really had a kid right and he was oh basically he doesn't want he doesn't he's never alone with her he goes I don't want to be alone with her that matter of fact she's a little girl there's people will excuse me of all different things I'd rather just be safe and he takes her with his family and as long as she's buying things she's happy and she loves him but when he says well I can't buy it we have to pay bills then she hates him and then she tells them that the only thing he's good for is money and I said no he's trying to be a dad to you because your dad is with his other family right now that's what I tell her that's why she doesn't feel like when my dad abandoned me so do you think it's do you think it's better off for your child you said you you can be staying with your dad or she's gonna be staying with your father until maybe school starts um were you gonna do you think he was better off your daughter staying with him full time for you and your relationship do you think that's fair to say um my relationship we seem to be like almost out of nine when me and my daughter okay when she's with my dad okay because like my dad kind of he can Grandpa came in some money so and then he has some money patched up so he can buy her what she wants when she wants and he she business to his Theory she thinks all adults are stupid but Grandpa okay does she tell you that yeah she's actually told me so do you think that having said that do you think it's better for you and your relationship with Matthew if she's with your dad full time um I will we've actually been able to focus on our relationship instead of constantly looking over our children or what she's going to do next what's she going to destroy um so it does make your own relationship better yeah and we're not in a lot yeah you feel better if she's with your dad because she's better off I guess yeah I can actually sleep at night but lately I haven't been able to sleep because I've been worried sick because I ain't been able to hear from him okay so let's start getting into that now another little background so you after you picked her up excuse me Friday from Orlando and went to pick her up you and Matthew uh just me because he had to sleep because he has to go to work at night okay uh and where does she work at um well he works at Walmart I work at Lowe's and he works Night Shift like stocking or maintenance okay yeah so you go pick her up Friday at Orlando and then what time will you pick her up um I think the wrong uh three or four it was raining and were you you have a car yes sir what kind of car is it HHR okay looks like a PT Cruiser okay yeah a couple more colors black Chrome and then you took her straight to your dad's house on Friday oh no I took home excuse me home and uh I took her home we all watched her cheating kind of staying in the living room with us when you say we all you know nephew me and Matthew and his dad his mom okay this is Dad and Mom lived in your same house um they live in a trailer right here and we live in a fifth wheel right here okay so it's the same address yeah you guys you and Matthew live in the fifth wheel and his parents live in the trailer yes okay when you guys when you came home on Friday when you say I came home every year old they were you guys were in the trailer with the the main house yeah we were in the main house okay so y'all are watching her hanging out watching TV and then what time is it now if you picked over three or four um his mom went lay down Mary fell asleep so I'm like okay well she's asleep it's okay if I leave her here with you George so I take him to work so that's why I'm not having to wake her up at all because waking her up is I basically I get punched a lot it's basically I try to wake her up I mean I get hurt every time you wake up she starts punching yeah or anything insane I don't want to get up and I'm not going to you because you're not the boss okay scared this makes you angry sad no when talking about her feelings about Meredith hitting her Jesse is most likely lying it is natural to feel a certain amount of anger or frustration when someone strikes you and sadness when it is your own child Jesse is trying to avoid saying anything that might make it sound as if she was tired of dealing with Meredith before I came home I also went to Walmart got her medicine so I swinging committed sure she had a medicine for the next day okay so you um they go to sleep around six or lay down around six or so on Friday yeah we're all bad for you um he's up he's getting dressed for work are you taking him to work and you buy her what at Walmart you said you bought her son at Walmart yeah I always buy her something at Walmart I bother like a Monster High movies and stuff okay to take your dad's another just I at that time I wasn't sure if I was going to figure my dad or not but I just wanted something for her to do yeah thanks to somebody part of medicine or something yeah I bought her medicine from Walmart yes I'm a pharmacy yeah okay what about this interview um the three uh pills that he has up on the entertainment center he left uh one is for uh liquid xanax or something is what he said once we're waiting to bed and once like helper calmed down and focus I guess he went and got those refilled he came back home Matthew's that word right um no I take Matthew to work no no but when you took him to work is that when you bought medicine and stuff no okay so this is before you even got home yes okay on the way home from the doctor yes okay so then you get home they go lay down you take Matthew to work she's there with George right it's asleep you take him out to your work and then you come back yeah and I take her over to the campers to go to bed okay um George said the lever there but um I was like I don't know that I have to get her up in the morning I don't really know about leaving her throughout the whole night okay she tries to me things he goes well I don't really sleep at all anyways that's it okay well but I'm I'm still concerned okay so he took her to the trailer what time was Matt shift we just go by Matt or Matthew um he goes by Cody at the house okay I'm sorry Matthew is what he uses for like paperwork can we take over your work at what time um he has to be at work at 10 so about like 9 30 if not when we're leaving the house okay so then you get back home and you have to discussion with George about he's it's okay but you still take her as a dream yeah to the fifth wheel yes sir and then what time do you get this is like well and what time how about probably like 11 30. like 10 30 11 30. I didn't really look at the time right this time this is on Friday night yes sir and then we went to sleep and then in the morning I woke up got her dress um I packed her bag for my dad's and this one she's already gonna go with him that weekend okay I talked to him about well if I sign my rights away to somebody who can take care of her and get her the proper medication and everything and he said well you do have your child like your mother did you I'm like your dad yeah when did you have this conversation with him um it was a couple days before I brought her over there and then I had the same conversation again with him it's like I had to repeat myself so but when you let me answer this one you've got that to after you drop Cody off at Walmart then you got back to Philly's house and George was and wait until this Mom laying down yes and George Georgia in the living room yeah okay where was the baby doing um she was sleeping on the two chairs that we had folded together make like a little bed so when you walk wherever she started punching you yeah because she always saw that happen yeah okay and he said well just leave her receiver so I left it for a little bit and I took her over there when she calmed down I presser like this and I can pick her up I don't like I really can't figure out too much and George helped me open the doors so going home next morning what time you dick or your dad's um I yeah about five to get her up in the morning yeah okay and I get to my dad's about around 6:00 6:30 ish okay you can't and how long how far is your house where are you living um it's probably uh I'm up here here's the 471 here's our house here's ODC road so you live in North Lakeland yeah and that's like right there off the county line area is pretty far from there yeah about 45 minutes with with red lights so you get there what time about 6 30 in the morning yeah and you drop them is your Dad's away when you get there yeah but when you drop or off how long do you stay there that's probably a few minutes and I'm like I have to go get him from work and my dad's like says something underneath his breath I don't know what it sounded like peachy busting or something what's happening I don't know it's not like Cody no he loves he thinks that this I just finally found a man I'm proud of you although it wasn't she had having chickens okay um and well he's like we gotta have a talk here I'm like but I don't know what to do with her I don't know how to help her I said I'm doing all I know and I'm fixing to lose my job well you know we should go because I had to call out so much to take care of her so would you when you took your dad she's supposed to be there a week yeah at least a week one hour how many closures there yeah I brought her all the clothes that she had it because she has a washing machine okay we have one up there too does she have extra clothes there too yeah and he bought her clothes okay so um did you bring that new movie you got her um no I forgot it okay that's that uh fifth wheel or a jewelry sales I fifth wheel all right what's it called again uh it was Monster High yeah she has the whole collection of Barbie because I made sure she got every single one of them so after you telling you guys before you leave um anyway probably 10 to 15 minutes so so you haven't picked up uh Georgie right yeah what time does he get off work seven okay what what Walmart does he work uh the north side so you kind of take her all the way down to your dad's house and then drive all the way back you're gonna scoop Cody up I want to die home yeah when you got your wall did you go straight to Walmart yes sir okay when you got to Walmart uh Saturday morning was the area off work or did you have to wait for me um he's in the back uh finishing up on the machine and clocking out did you wait on the park no I always go inside okay did you uh so how long were you there until how long did you have to wait there until you get off work not that long like just maybe a few seconds okay so didn't really pay attention to my phone no I understand but then when he got off work it was around 7 30 then uh around seven uh my schedule I never know what day I actually have to work I thought it was the day I had to work but it was the day after I had to work that day right there I was off so me and him slept all day on Saturday so you got to work Sunday yes sir okay did you ever work Sunday yes sir and um so you drop you drop on the Saturday the 18th you've dropped her off of your dad's when's the next time that you talked to your dad um I I called him and it showed up where I called for like 30 seconds but like when you showed up on my color thing they said 30 seconds on there and when it didn't seem like that long but well it said something yeah it's like he hung he answered the phone and then like yeah when is the next time after the 18th that you called him uh what date was it Sunday Sunday what time we're talking about was it Sunday night um it was around here I remember it was not enough you know before I went to work I can't remember those daytime yes okay um and I drove by the house everything looked fine but awesome so you called and try to come on Sunday you try to call him yeah and what was the purpose of going on I just wanted to see to check up yeah and say hey did you give her medicine I always make sure that I call him and get asked him if he gets their medicine and everything okay and um did you talk to him like it sounded like he weren't answering something with Meredith in the background and then like so he played the phone rings something picks up the phone picks up yeah and he wasn't talking to you it sounded like he was doing something yeah okay what did you hear in the background um I don't know what your mother sees that's wrong with you okay I think my dad's been back talking to me behind my back my kid that's why she's probably also okay so so you heard that but you said when did you go to your phone and solve 30 seconds um yeah not that long ago like yesterday I was looking through it was trying to figure out okay how long I talked to you on this day here because what did I or they even not answer his phone and then Nitro so did you talk did you talk to him again did you try calling did you ever talk to him on Sunday after that call yeah they just told you on Monday no Monday I had Matthew try and I accidentally can you try to call my daddy while I go to work because um did you try to call him again on Monday um no I didn't try myself I just I go by there and they weren't home and the house looked exactly like it did whenever yeah um when did you tell him she was supposed to be to the doctor she's telling them it's a Saturday yeah normally a mother would be worried if she could not reach the person in charge of her child especially once more than a day had passed Jesse seems more inconvenienced than truly bothered but judging by our answers so far it was more of a relief not to have Meredith with her I told him I said these are I'll text you if I remember remember text and we I also the trailer part number if you can if you still have it can you like you take some of this stuff no I talked to him okay in person I'll say it okay uh you know let me know anything and then all of a sudden when I came home and on the 22nd yeah right after the 27th we're still on the 20th so on the 20th uh you didn't try to call oh no you worked on Sony though yeah but uh I thought you said earlier you tried to call them when the on the 20th whatever the doctor's office called me yeah I don't remember all the days run together on my head oh I understand but do you remember do you remember you told me that on the 20th you try to call them after the doctor's spoken but you didn't talk you couldn't get through to him right yeah because you talk to him anymore on Monday no did you try to call them anymore on Monday this song was going away tonight I figured he was mad at me okay and that's possible but do you remember trying to call him on Monday later on more um no sir I'm Dennis Matthew he can because I don't maybe he'll answer you no we'll get to that but on Monday when you try uh you you try to call him after the doctor's office called right it was ready to voicemail straight to voicemail didn't ring around yeah did you personally try to call him anymore on Monday I said okay I guess I'll give him um it was after I got off work I I just did a drive-by what time what time would you go [Music] my schedule is all crazy but you try to drive past after work on Monday was it daytime or nighttime okay it was so still you can see yeah okay yeah everything looks fine but um when you drove past on Monday was when you said everything looked the same like his what kind of vehicle does he have um he owns the F-350 which I have at the house because when he takes the meat if he was going up north I went looked at the vehicle and it had a key stuck in and a door for us okay and we'll get to that but when you drove past on Monday afterwards did his truck was there yeah what kind of truck what color is it it's gray okay just you have to use other vehicles um he had two other trucks but they're down and they don't work and my minivan sits in the yard with what two other choices um it's a like an old Ranger like when they actually made Rangers okay and it's great it just it just sits there with a bunch of uh okay and then a Dodge 95 Dodge what about Suburban the Suburban was that there on Monday yeah I was there Monday so his truck was there Anna Suburban was there uh did you stop uh I stopped a little bit a little I'm like okay we're on normally did you get out of the knock on the door I just figured if I did I didn't want it what was your purpose to drop that on Monday uh you see if they were home because because you couldn't get through to me yeah okay you told me maybe he's playing with her inside because they color together and they uh did you try calling when you pass by there or anything no I just I said okay well we probably just mad at me so the Suburban was there and his truck because Normal truck was there yeah if you're passing you went home yeah and then did you did you talk to him did you try to call him on Tuesday um I don't remember if I called on Tuesday or not did you try going out there on Tuesday um yeah I went by there on Tuesday yeah what time was that uh before I went to work the landlady said she didn't hear from my dad and they said something about going out of town and everything okay and Vicky where's your workout in Plant City uh Lowe's um Jim Redman General Parkway okay um what way do you normally go to work from your house you just jump on I-4 um no I don't jump on I-4 I only come down through Zephyr Hills and I hit the here's a little road that comes right here uh 54 and then that road right here I can't remember which maybe a cherry or Chansey or something if it hits 39 and I come down that way does anywhere close your dad's house no okay so on when I take that route well two days before we're you obviously had to leave a lot early did you already late Tuesday to work Jesse should have been alarmed when all of the vehicles were accounted for and she still could not contact her father if she had a poor enough relationship with him that he would avoid Jesse while he was taking care of Meredith it is unsettling that Jesse would risk not having access to her daughter um I don't know don't you remember being late call Tuesday clocking in well but having said that you kind of have to leave kind of early to go out of your way and check on your dad's house right yeah I went by there the Suburban was moved for women it was like it was facing for and then let's face it reversed towards the road yeah so we were by there Monday he was facing towards the house and when he went by there Tuesday it was back towards the house yeah facing the road yeah so when that was before work on Tuesday when did you find out something about it you said something about he was was this before you found out about somebody's going to Georgia or something yeah okay so you still don't know about Georgia yet no it's like 22nd he texted us so Tuesday the 21st and you drove by there and you didn't make contact or anything no I haven't I haven't seen him at all no I understand so but you didn't stop on the tortures right like you didn't get out we're not on the door no okay so Wednesday which is the 22nd um I went by there that evening again you still know about Georgia uh when I come home my fiance goes hey baby I'm sorry I'm like I'm sorry about what we come over where from going by there you can work okay when did you go by there on Wednesday though um it was before Tuesday night I went by there no no but Wednesday did you go by there yeah that's awesome I think I did I don't remember okay and then afterward you'll make sure that's fine but you went home afterward yeah on Wednesday you worked Wednesday yeah and and that's when you got home and your boyfriend Cody said something I'm sorry or something yeah and I'm like what he was throwing her sit down and you let me read the text message about a dad having cancer and then I've seen now the phone where I was 20 if he takes it up going to Georgia and I was like okay and he goes I don't know what to say about this I said I don't know either this is years he takes him on the 20th yeah and said he's going to Georgia yeah he didn't tell you that when he said something like sleeping in the car on the way to work well don't even pick him up I want to pick him up uh he's on we normally don't really talk that much we just go home and so apparently he got a message from your dad saying that he's going to Georgia on the 20th he texts Cody that yeah and he also Cody did ask me have you talked your dad lately I said I called him um one costumes in one okay but he still didn't tell you that he says uh Georgia yeah okay and then on Wednesday he showed you the text about he said does your guy that came so did you know that no I know he had some bad spots on his back that looked cancerous and that he's been going to see this one doctor and a doctor had some X-rays done and that he had uh bone spurs uh Oliver's Body okay and because they were trying to find out why his lower lumbar is hurting him okay uh he had a big aluminum log my Cola fall on him and twist him down to the ground is you gotta have a lot of medical problems uh lately he seems like he's been having a lot of them okay does he take a lot of medications so no he doesn't take anything she just said for uh ibuprofen and like prescription so so Wednesday night though on the 22nd that's when you found out that on the 20th he said that he's going to yeah and then um on the 22nd was there anything else your dad said that what he said he had a year later or something yeah and I'm like okay and I'm going to try to call him and let your phone's turned off okay and it wouldn't be a reason why uh you know text Cody that about you like where it has n't I said that he was having problems answering like me answering my phone while this is technically possible it is suspiciously convenient that her father was having trouble sending her messages at this particular time it also doesn't explain why he couldn't have come to her house to tell her in person because you have Metro PCS too I don't know I have straight talk but whenever you get towards the last part before you get the payment if you use all your data up it runs really slow or straight talk is that prepare the phone yes sir where do you get that at Walmart what about Curly Soul California C is same company that actually told me about Straight Talk and said it was their service early yeah well his um his bill was due like the day before mine he had when he has to buy a few cards so he has fresh data on his hard time right but I'm trying to find out how come how come you your dad takes his Texas him and not you that um my dad always talks to Cody if I was coding more things he said that he doesn't want me to worry okay did he think Cody wasn't going to tell you um Cody normally you like know how to explain things to me he's like uh it's not sound bad but you don't know how else to say it that's how he puts it to me and I'm like tell me because like like yeah that was on the 22nd yeah and after and when Cody showed you that stuff was that in the evening or an afternoon or the evening liking he he told me we cried and then did you guys stay at home after that or don't go anywhere else after that we walked over to his parents house to be around people did you tell him break the news to him yeah well they already knew before I did because he had already told him yeah he showed them the text message yeah yes sir so after all this Wednesday evening was a night after you saw in Texas you tried calling your dad or yeah I sent him a text message well did he say he did he did he say when he was going in that text message like when he's going to Georgia no he didn't really say exactly when he was leaving out like to me he didn't no I know that but in the text message to Cody did he say in the text message when he was leaving no okay but he's going to ask that because his cars were there Monday and Tuesday yeah right so I felt like something's gonna happen to the truck so I went down there and checked it and that's when I seen it I don't understand that but rather yeah I'm saying so Wednesday you find out that your dad says he's going to Georgia he hasn't related do you say he's taking your baby yeah okay but we know on the 20th and Monday the 20th and um Tuesday the 21st you drove by there and the cars were there so I probably haven't left yet at that point you know like how else would he get there his girlfriend texted me and said that he rented a car Monday and I'm thinking well she she told you he rented a car one day yeah okay and he's going to Georgia or something and I told her about the cancer and she goes your dad don't have cancer she she tasted you and said that you get it you rented a car uh we talked on the phone yeah okay and um so she told you on the phone that that he rented a car you say how she knew that uh you texted her to her but I haven't seen the text on her phone at all they didn't even know she's telling the truth would she be lying or what's it real I don't know she's the last person that seen my dad like she said that he came over to the house crying about me wanting to sign my rights away and I said I really don't want you that I love my kid but I'm thinking of something that can help her like yeah well so when did you have this phone conversation so when's the night you find out about your debt leave-in and you guys crying and meet with his parents and you know whatever you taught Vicky that night or yeah that's what he's talking on the phone yeah when you go down there to get the stuff to bring up to the house and everything say it again we go down there to between them between that day and Thursday we went down there to get this stuff Wednesday night you talk to her on the phone to Vicky after you find out about yeah okay Jesse's story becomes even more jumbled apparently everyone had more interaction with her father than she did a fact that the detectives are finding hard to believe lately she's been really concerned about the bed that's in my bedroom like oh yeah I said he gave me this bed and I'm like well right now I'm trying to find my dad and we'll get here but so Wednesday did you leave the house Wednesday after that after you find out about did you go Wednesday night to your dad's house I I've always been concerned about getting the stuff like if my dad's gone no I know I know your voice your concerns about it but did you go to your dad's house on Wednesday night yes okay what was it later that night yeah I don't know exactly what time was it dark I was getting dark who went to your dad's with you um all of us who's always um me Cody his parents [Music] and it's locked okay so use your key to go inside yeah front door yeah okay anywhere in the front door there's everything out of place or anything it just stuck in there but everything looked just like it did whenever you guys came over and I filled out that the report okay so it's dunking away it's snowing and it just smell like dead rats or dead something okay oh did you find out what that smell was well I did find some rides and stuff and I threw it in Hawaii you found some rats yeah okay uh they were in the kitchen there yeah did he has he had it for a while um yeah does he put out rat traps or anything yeah and that we've actually found rat feces right by the water here which is The Little Door that's right behind the um dining room set and then I found recipes on the stove so we identify this the smell is the good rats yeah I never threw them away right there yeah okay and what else what else was different about that um I know how I guess the deputy saw how it is now but what else was different from times before and you went there Wednesday night um it just seems off I I don't remember it was Wednesday night or Thursday night I can't remember those days okay but when you went there were you with her Wednesday night or Thursday night whatever night it was you went there and you went inside you know spelled something dead you got the rats out yeah and then they just go anywhere else and look to see like I mean it's harder there did you call it his name or your daughter's name or yeah nothing and I've searched the house there was nothing in there was anything out of a place or missing though no just their stuff was like can't some camping stuff was gone um clothes were gone and pillows okay anything else not that I can tell and I kind of just did it like a quick walk through and I just seen their clothes and okay where was the where was the cases spoken um they hang up right by my dad's desk okay so you get the keys and what is Cody and his parents do at this time are they inside no uh they're dealing with the dog kennel which is outside yeah with your dog in it or something yeah my dog was in it okay he's in the backyard um it's inside the yard right in front of the old Ford when they were dealing with it they're um taking it apart and where's your dog in it yeah my dog has a Long Leash and we put her up on everything you wanna be tighter to the post of the house so the tiger of the dog and then you take the is that what you take the Suburban Network or the landlords yeah where's the land um over um like just right around the woods okay just like around the block or something yeah and did some company go over there I just walked back foreign all the cars were in place and dead rats had been left on the floor this would alarm anyone and a complete search of the house would usually be made Jesse didn't seem to bother yet still somehow managed to notice that some camping gear was missing to uh the house and everything we set it up it'll work well you took your dad's truck up to your house yeah who drove the truck out there oh George did because I can't drive a sick shift okay um I tried and I kind of keep stealing the thing okay so my dad actually laughing what's the next what's the next time you're talking about um did your dad have a song did he tried calling you guys or I I tried saying okay well you like so you told me to sell all this stuff and like what the hell you got overwhelmed with everything like okay wait you got cancer you understand everything in his house once we do this and that so when I paid the bills to the electric company to use power on uh just and then paid a storage unit so we wouldn't lose some stuff in there where's the storage room um Uncle Bob's in the city and where Plant City I like Alexander Street or something Uncle Bob's is there a storage unit yeah like all my days are running together storage there's Uncle Bob's close to the uh Farmers Market over there um no I don't know it's interesting we'll go right in that area where did you go so you were new storage unit is that that's uh my dad and he has me down as a manufacturer and like some of the stuff in there is mine as well it's kind of like incredible someone so you take the the this truck and the dog back to your house and um when did you go pay the light keep the lights on whatever pay the light bill um I don't remember and I just know it it's like we're on the first so are you thinking at this point you guys are not coming back or something well I didn't know like he's freaking out like when I was little one of the biggest without we moved closer to family he's losing his house and stuff I'm moving to Florida because that I just I hated Georgia okay you're growing up there and he goes okay well I'm losing my house and I'm losing my job and everything and I wouldn't I come with you and yeah sure okay I've heard they get hot truck and everything we went to Florida basically it seems like whenever my dad gets a big scare he runs from the state that he actually had the big scare in even though you can't really run through your problems yeah so but you take the dog up there and then you pay pay the bills and that kind of so are you doing that because you think you guys not coming back no I'm doing it because I just want to make sure everything's taken care of for him if he comes back I don't know what he's what his plans are what's going on through it's mine at all okay you know it's just a two-week scare or something what about what about uh is your daughter on she takes all this medication right yeah is it was that at the house yeah Dad's house still yeah I've seen that and I was kind of a little concerned that's why I started calling family and plus I haven't been able to get afford to family goes straight to voicemail my friend Amy came to town I hung out with her for a bit and talked to her about what's going on uh she's my friend she's in the Marine Corps it was realizing um Plant City okay yeah is she back in on leave or something uh she was back for a little bit because she went to ACC to um apply for them she went to work does a police force any uh I think she said it was agency so she's back to Hillsborough Community College uh HCC yeah I think she she went back to do like an interview and everything and to see she can get into the Police Academy when she gets out in December that's I understand that but is she here now in back in Florida uh no she's left already wouldn't she leave um she left um the following Monday I don't know what day it was after her birthday from [Music] um Challenger here she left on a Monday yes and so the following Monday after you like the second day your daughter was at your dad's she left them a week later yeah so that would have been on July 27th she left on the 27th yeah who would you hang out with her um we hung out with her um and her at chili so when when was that Jesse keeps partially answering questions or giving locations rather than dates it could be a deliberate attempt to dodge the questions while still giving the appearance of compliance I think it was Saturday post Saturday or something a couple days before she left yeah I don't know on Sunday too just tell about like the situation your Daddy yeah well calm down call the Family see what's going on with them see if he's up there you know he likes your camping and stuff and I just can't even stop it missing so you know did you tell that your daughter's medication was so balanced yeah she goes well all over medication is yeah I'm like all three uh bottles that they gave her okay um she said hmm well she does behave better with him but maybe he can go up there to take him to a doctor up there as I mentioned that two I think I left it in the voicemail I'm not sure what um the paper for the doctor up there okay I don't I don't remember okay we'll talk through a counselor too this time she came over to the house I talked with her about how nigger's gone and with my dad up to Georgia and uh counselor I don't know her counselor yeah she came out of your house yes when was that um it was on a Wednesday so this past Wednesday no Tuesday I'm sorry Tuesday at 11. so this past like several days ago yeah okay yeah she goes well he needs to get her medication I said I know and that's why I'm trying to get in contact with him and I'm trying to find out where my family which one he went with because like we have a big family and he knows a lot of people up there so and that nobody talks about uh Georgetown Georgia where Atlanta he had another house and he has a key to it so but uh did you ever contact in your family yeah I've been talking to my aunt Jan my Aunt Sharon um I've been talking to my cousin Tara on Facebook hi you have Facebook yeah where's your Facebook name um do you go about anything else other than Cheyenne no is it Cheyenne Jesse on Facebook yeah it was tears last night um party it's weekly now but on Facebook it's still working hard and head or something I can't pronounce it yeah did you ask him hey you see my dad yeah I've talked to them and stuff like that and I've as I was like hey what's going on and so then I'm like well this is what I know I even they even posted a thing on there and I even put on there what I know um that he took with him and that he said something about cancer and um my dad wouldn't say he had a cancer unless he had it because he knew it it freaked me out unless he was trying to teach me a lesson but showing me that I do care about my kid and so you contact all these family member did they say they've seen your dad or her friend today they call around and everything they said uh Vicki said that he rented a car tried to run all places that tried going to the bank and asking them I understand one thing um JT Federal Credit Union um well it's in Plant City and Lakeland and they have one in Tampa as well but you went to the bank yeah which which branch um it's a plant city and I told everyone where's that in Plant City um it's the same strip that uh most advantage of them in partly okay JT what's his name uh GTE oh GT do you think yes and so what day did you go there was this after you talked to your cousin or something about your cousin um Anthony from the Marines um she left on Monday so did you see her on that Monday she left no okay is that do you know what day you went to the bank starting from Monday no and actually everything just starts fumbling in where we trying to have to go to do work and trying to figure out what originally Bank did you go inside there yes sir yeah [Music] um I talked to one of the ladies I always talk to and I don't know her name um there's one with gray curly hairs one with straight hair what does it really talk to the other thing I think it's the girl with the straight hair the younger girl or yeah white black white okay then do you Bank there too yeah okay so that's why you always talk to him yeah they know you I guess yeah and you real name you asked the one um hey I was wondering if you can uh pull up my dad's uh accounts and see if if you rented a car through using this bank card or something like that they said well let's see if you're on the accountant I'm like well I know I'm a beneficiary or anything but like to make sure that I can close this account if anything happens to him or anything like that I said but I just want to see if you rented the car through using this bank card or something and they say well we can't divulge that information to you I'm like well I'm really concerned because I ain't parking my dad in a couple of days I was pretty freaking out like I like as I'm driving I'm crying like I'm I've cried so much this morning well I'm starting to feel like something's wrong okay because I mean and I'm thinking okay well what the heck pretty much what it is I called my uncle and everything like use my aunt's number and I talked to all of them and they said okay my aunt's phone oh okay who's your aunt all right Janice weekly where she live at um she lives with my uncle Steve how many words that end did you go to Georgia or something no I called there I I haven't even called you called there and your aunt yeah and she got on the phone yeah okay I've been talking with them for the past couple days now like trying to figure out um who all his friends are you having Uncle George which is my godfather um he lives in by Durant high school um ask him okay do you guys know of anything like that and like where it could be have you seen him or heard anything about him did you tell them that he was with your daughter yeah I said my daughter and him are missing and my uncle Mike posted it on my Facebook where's Mark and like everybody else started commenting on there while I'm trying to call people and I'm I'm getting flustered because I'm like I don't know what to do and he's calmed me down several times and say hey look calm down because you can't focus on everything if you're like Professor Butler huh okay but uh like so you go to the bank they won't say anything because you're always yeah and then I guess I'm gonna find out anything there no I'll get my aunt no school you know about what day that is because let's go back because Amy left on Monday yeah do you know about where it was you went to the bank was it like like today's Saturday night Sunday morning was it like Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday was it Friday that you went there or um did you work that day you went to the bank no no I was off I went around the base and yeah I was always the day I went and paid the shade okay and we went to the bank where you by yourself yeah okay okay um and what's the next thing that happens after you go to the bank and I guess throughout the days you're talking to your family and stuff what's the next thing did you go back to the house again I went back there looking to see it when was that uh I know you were there today earlier today but when you I guess I'll call the police from there yeah okay when did you go back there before today um today for me and Matthew went and got a couple things out of the house because I got concerned okay well you know what'd you go um I got picture frames uh like family pictures and stuff I got some of his tools that's the way like that was my grandfather as you said uh they said he meant to him and I got his DVDs out of there that are mixed with mine in this case and then I got um his crossbow that he had but nothing was missing at all except for his camping stuff in the clothes yeah nothing else nothing significant missing um he in his San Francis he said he got what he wanted he got what he need sell the rest I don't care about it basically what about this thirty thousand dollars is that there no the tower was missing too okay Saturday uh is that pretty significant yeah like my dad had like I asked if I was I don't know what you're talking about say that again he said that he didn't know what I was talking about I said well I'm just seeing the accounting and he goes what are you talking about like you like you're dead yeah like one day you started downtown all this money yeah and I asked him about it like this was a while back for me and Cody got together okay so you're still living there yeah so he's got all his money wearing like the living room or the bedroom okay and did you see where he got the money from you know you never told me yeah you just kind of basically blushes up like I don't know what you're talking about well he knows some computers because you know put it in it oh did I say no yeah but he's counting it because I want five to four and he kind of jumped me okay I don't know what my my dad said he had a pass a long time ago that and I don't know what it is like a secret Fest yeah it was in the military an unexplained amount of money and a secret past it is almost like Jesse is pulling her story from a thriller none of it makes sense and it is far too convenient to be believable you go over there a couple times like how many times you go over there and get stuff out of there um I just got step out of there um yesterday just the only day yeah so was it on Friday yeah okay well like I'm kind of I don't know if I'm just afraid of Something's Gonna have to get a house like someone's gonna break in or anything so what else would you take the tools the tools the family pictures the movies and the crossbow that he had in there and then he also had he also had a um a Walking Dead uh game thing you plugged up to the TV and you feel like you're shooting zombies okay um I also took his tackle boxes too you still have any guns my dad does have guns I took his guns um before he left he took his guns before he left yes uh um Snake Charmer and a couple uh I don't know it's not like this Olive silver and black that's all I know I don't know what kind I don't know it's a rifle yeah okay you took that and then it had two other old guns with it and I just kind of what kind of guns they're handguns long guns so he took three guns yeah just before he left yeah a few legs would take him yeah he told me uh take on where to be safer instead about in that old truck where people can fly break into it okay where'd you put against it um I put them in the camper and then he totally took them over to the house the um I put them behind my daughter's cot ton so now I've been early week not considered but that hospital from Orlando yeah so they were only there like a week yeah when did you take over Jody's um but Cody's parents house um yeah yeah I took them over there before Meredith came back if I remember correctly I don't know everything's all jumbled up I know but what if you were taking over there before Meredith gots back because you said you had to even hide knives yeah so I would imagine you would leave them there whenever America was there right I don't leave nothing around with marriages around so it hadn't been before she got there so so he has three guns that's it yeah but uh I know he has a handheld revolver that I was missing too so that's missing yeah yeah and like I just figure okay well you know he takes it with him because he always keeps it in his pocket okay how big is he um yeah it was like little with like it's handheld and how long is the barrel I mean how long has it got anything [Music] I'm silver with like the regular Uh Wood kind of on the handle the Cody do you know what kind of thing they're like what caliber or anything no sir you think it's like nine millimeter or no there's a wheel on it yeah I don't know what but that guy's missing you have no idea where it's at yeah when's the last time you touched me now um I I tell them I don't really care to touch guns really have you ever touched that game no that's good you ever touched that game no where does your dad normally keep that gun bite right by him because he always I mean he's he went like this a couple times whenever I walked into his house and I say well you left the door open and everything he goes he got a shot right by him like wherever he goes yeah like I want to be underneath his pillowcase with him or it'll be like uh like little Cubbies or anything underneath the calories yeah it's always just laying out with a holster or uh no it just plays like underneath the pillow with him because you know sometimes he's a heavy sleeper sometimes people like sleepers it depends on how tired he gets that Darren day okay all right here yeah yeah and where did your daughter sleep when she's there oh she sleeps in the bedroom with her bed and my bed in it that was our bedroom when you went over to the house any of these days well the rats were there that I guess that first day he went there and he threw away um was that the only thing that was smelling the hill threw away no after um I found a [ __ ] underneath the house I took it out and threw it raccoon yeah yeah underneath the house yeah how did you find out around the house why'd you look under there but I was trying to figure out where I smell what's coming from I looked around that right there I cleaned up dog [ __ ] but it wasn't dog [ __ ] that's not that bad yeah the garage were done in the kitchen yeah and there was a dead raccoon under the house yeah with that many dead animals on the property there should have been an indication that something was horribly wrong okay how did you look at the house how did you do that oh my dad's flashlight is a lattice or covering around um it's that one spot it's broken right there so if you look underneath there broken leg out like it's been bent like someone's been underneath there okay is it all the way on the ground or no it's just like bent like where someone's been reaching underneath there so you look under there with the flashlight and we saw that raccoon yeah where was it oh right by the airplane how Fortress I took a big long thing and shoved underneath therapy to pull it out uh it's like one of the things that you go and cut trees with or something like the pole saw yeah that's crazy like a manual pole saw yeah so you stuck that other and Drug it out yeah okay what'd you do with raccoon I threw it out in the woods but if I'm looking at the house [Music] what side of the house was the raccoon we're looking at the house on the street yeah all right that side the left side yeah okay and I just chopped it out there I don't know where it went so you took it's just the side of the house this is the bottom of the house down here you're over here you see the raccoon you pull it out you throw it in the woods over here yeah okay how far is it ready to go yeah it is nothing out with the house pretty clean other than that no food left out or anything no oh except for the hamburger meat that was in the sink that I threw out in the trash can Thursday because the there was like maggots and stuff okay this Friday morning is a trap tonight was the house pretty clean though did you do anything um I spray the floor with a roach killer spray because the fleas being about in the house why'd you do that um yeah you didn't go buy any or anything like that I bought some extra ones for them and buy bots and bombs they're off in the house I don't remember my job I have lots of boxes so that's right we can pack some of this stuff up this is after he left you bought yeah bombs yeah just quiet and cleaning stuff um I bought laundry soap for us to use at the house which just like wash my clothes clean and stuff for your dad's house no just basically I bought paint for mine and Cody's place where they're fixing to paint our bedroom to lighten it up in there I bought it um the boxes and some tape to box up some of this stuff since he wanted to get rid of it all I was just going to throw it into a storage unit with my name on it so that's why I'd be like hey here's your stuff you know I don't really want to get rid of your stuff here it is you do with it it's yours so what kind of bombs did you buy at Lowe's um a little fogger the purple ones like just single ones or they come in the package uh something like a free package okay how many packages for the house um I bought some air freshener and some candles my dad's house always stinks does it always smell like that animals all right oh he's dealt with rats before and he smokes constantly in like propane smell from him using it on the stove because his soap went out from roaches with my fiancee um it was electric stove okay that little thingy up here that tells you the time and everything it won't let you push the turn it on or anything or do anything with it so he bought the the uh the air freshener candles and two packages of bombs yeah okay I set them off this way the house could like get rid of the roaches and stuff yeah you do that uh I set them off before I went big Cody up Friday on Friday yeah did you notice anything else in the house that didn't look right I just I looked around and I see where my dad looked like he laid blankets out on the couch the like lay on and stuff I mean I've said on that couch isn't anything that's just I just still smell a little funny smell and I just said all the couches when said your dad left yeah okay was it shoots there yeah um does your diagonally sleep on the couch or sometimes you fall asleep on the couch but he mainly sleeps in his bed because that's that's his cat charges back and he has to be up and down all the time so so what he doesn't normally helps him um um he used to sleep on couch when we had that one that's out on the porch in the house although Jesse had given the impression earlier that things are tense between her and her father and that they don't communicate well she still has a detailed knowledge of his habits and routines she claims to be unsure of his sleep patterns but in the next sentence confidently replies that she knows where he sleeps but it started hurting his back really bad so he started going back to his bed how long has it been back I don't know what his sleep pattern's been like since I've been with my fiance thank you but before you left was he sleeping back in his bed again or what yeah now those are the sheets on the couch or just and what what's his furniture no it's like it's a double power recliner thing there's a hawk and devil uh like power you know you push the button and it right now one person I know it's for two people to sit right here yeah and like a couch over here it was that he has a loveseat and a couch that's it yeah and then he got the last name coupons yeah and the couch has some other client where did you get that from um The Landlady cleaned out one of those houses I didn't do that and she said well since they haven't cleaned the furniture or anything you can have the couch the Cody helped loaded into the house that dude I'm moving that couch again it was heavy so was the what had the sheet on the couch or the low too um let's see how the sheet on it which was my old Barbie sheet um and then had a pillowcase with one of Barbie doll uh Barbie pillowcase on it and then the couch had my little lion king blankets on on it and the pillows on it okay then my daughter was laying on the chair or a couch or something like that's where they can lay down and they sit comfortably and watch the TV okay um I I did take the pillowcase off the pillowcase off of that little pillow and put it on the big pose hopefully he could take a nap while we were waiting to figure out what's going on with my kid and my dad um but so you didn't put the sheets there and pills and so if they were there already there yes sir when you the first time you went in there uh I guess was that Wednesday night when you went there and you all moved the trucks and cars all those sheets there then yeah okay and everything's the same nothing's really changed well besides the fact that this guy's missing yeah and yeah okay yeah there was a dead there were two dead rats in there and then the dead um raccoon underneath the house yeah I wanted to give the raccoon from or anything else um and so I was so easy one with the jungle together in my mind because there's just so much that's happened and I've been worried so sick and you mean well did your guy take his phone with him or did he tell you he was going to call you or uh he said he was getting a new number and so I've been waiting for the number and if it never happened so I started calling this one I really and I think he said something weird oh she said I don't know if you guys dead or something in the house I said when we've been in the house there's no no there's nothing there okay so why would you say that why are you like freaking me out here because like where did you throw the ground beef in um in a trash can like the one that goes to the road yeah what what day was that uh it was Thursday okay when does the trash come Friday morning did you take the price out of the street no you know me too or I mean I think I want the property and get it I'm not Josh always takes trash out for us the neighbor okay so even for your dad he took the trash in the street he normally does um like if my dad's out of town or something no he'll do that I haven't watched the house for me to see if anything's going on because he does causes it doesn't go he's out of town unless he told him he's going to enjoy right well you know I asked him if he knew about my dad going to Georgia or anything he said no I didn't know I said well he said he had cancer I told them that when asked about the trash Jesse grows hesitant as if she hasn't thought this part of her story through everything but as far as you know did the trash come and get the yeah because we found it when we came there what else was in the trash can there were some black bags in there was um it was about probably halfway full okay I didn't really open the bags no I understand but just through the mean there's about halfway yeah the trash cans in the and the um what by the washer or in the bathroom in there okay um did you know did you see your dad's phone at his house um the iPhone was at his house I took it over to the landladys um and I I didn't know it was like an iPhone until like we took the case off of it and it said iPhone I thought that was the iPhone like okay that's the trailer park number and then I seen an iPhone case in the uh your dad has a the landlady gets him a phone yeah okay we're trying to fart for maintenance yeah okay so is that an iPhone yeah okay what's his personal phone his personal phone is like an a something rather I can't pronounce the name of it is it like a smartphone yeah a smartphone or Android or what's that at the house um yeah okay did you find that strange yeah to the house okay and [Music] um is she there no she's in Utah right now okay and stuff I cranked the Suburban up and I hit the power thing that opens the garage in there yeah okay I basically checked the dogs and see if it had food and water for me where'd you put the soda I put it up on the table and then when me and my fiance came Thursday we went in there and I guess he must have put it in his pocket um he said there might be something on here we needed and I said I don't know and I I was kind of dealing with the dog and I've been flustered because I can't focus but don't do any cleaning in the house besides there didn't even need to be any cleaning done at that house no no I just he needed his dishes done no but you but you you didn't do the dishes but you got rid of the bugs right yeah that's great that's a spray off in the house well why would you do that without the dishes well dishes are already done in Diner and that's what he needed to do the dishes yeah like pots and pan in the sink double dirty yeah why didn't you wash those I just then you wouldn't touch it and but yeah which I'll touch it right there raccoon I like like calling please trash can after you do after you threw the raccoon in the woods you through the tallest by the trash can yeah where'd you get the phone from the kitchen he has like several countries that's grilling pushed in dealing with sprinkling and scrubbing or anything like that nothing yeah um what do you think what do you think happened here to your dad and your daughter maybe he didn't leave Florida and he went over to Biggie's house and she did something that's what I'm feeling I should do more I don't know if she's like I don't know that's so weird when I'm around her okay what do you think she did I think she might hurt them or something or maybe she has them in her house why'd you start getting that feeling when she started being more concerned about that stupid bed versus my daddy um what project did you finally call the police well I haven't we I've done checked everything out and see if he really did go up there and found everybody to talk to and I was like well that's done you talk to him I'm really freaking concerned so I went and I looked and your office was the the um state troopers was closed yeah so I waited to the morning to try to call you guys because I didn't know what the numbers were and I my friend uh that's friends with Matthew Cody um his name's Kurt and he and his wife gave us number to call you guys what number 911 no not 911 the actual police place the Sheriff's Office yes sir um it's out there so did you know Tony Cody took that song over there I mean um no and he when he gets when he normally gets off work and stuff he's like he doesn't really thank you when did you find out you took the phone uh like when we were there at the house when we were looking and he I guess he must have slipped his mind uh my dad's house right what did you talk about today yes that's when you found out he had a phone yeah isn't it true you found out that he had a phone yeah he was okay I didn't know what this phone was like I was like okay well I thought because I was thinking that okay well did Dad buy an iPhone 5 because I know you had one for the landlady isn't it true you felt like you had the song whenever you in front of the police yeah okay okay remember I took it I said no I can't remember anything like everything's so funny yeah you said when he took but you told me earlier when he took it he said maybe there's something on it yeah I didn't think he I did until I told him it also put it down I know but so you just but you also just said you didn't know me on the phone until the police were there yeah so did you know he had the phone at the house when he took it did you know he had the phone when the police were there he had the phone in his hand when we were at the house at Lily's house and then I just thought he might put it down after I told you and I didn't know you really like actually kept it with them I guess he forgot about it but we we forget when we're worried about somebody's life here what did you start worrying about their lives when I can't get in contact with my family make contact with them and making all she is is concerned about this stupid bed why is all the stuff in your dad's room pilot on the bed because I was I was getting the family photos out of the closet such but it wouldn't get ruined just property or was there just yet did you get like three mattresses on there or something yeah yeah that that's always been there that's how you had to say you had to make it comfortable for layoffs is there sheets on it yeah okay so you just started stacking stuff up from the floor on the bed yeah you didn't see anything there or anything like any blood or anything like that no sir and what it was a block of where's the album at the photo album oh they're in the closet that's what my daddy it's like an album there's a couple album books there's some boxes that have uh pictures in them and then there's like a plastic tote kind of things and then there's like um but you I got old suitcase kind of looking like it has oh how would you make it GT as well yes sir what about Matthew um Wells Fargo horseback to see what I'm gonna use which branch um you know the other has a long take a bump to the hills or the one there in Lakeland you wanna by Publix yeah yes sir yes sir and um do you only use the ATM or for money or do you keep money on you or I don't want to keep money on me I I don't know I'll just use my bank card for gas and stuff and he'll give me some money every now and then uh let me ask you something do you know uh did you graduate in high school um yeah I graduated with special ed okay did you go to college no I've been wanting to but I just kind of I want to focus more on my daughter okay you say special like you graduated what does that mean um basically my reading and my spelling kind of the detectives will need to track Jesse's finances to see if she bought anything that could be traced back to the crime yeah yeah but you get a job and yeah are you a cashier yeah okay so you can count money you know yeah um well it takes me a while to learn something but once I learned it I'm I'm pretty good at it and I've been in cashier before up in Georgia Okay so at Lowe's um no I'm up to Georgia I've worked at Pizza Hut was my first job my cousin's hair um no I was a person who did the prepping and washing the dishes which everyone can eat more dishes but now you're worth money and pretty Goodwin accused of steal money or didn't tell well or anything no sir I double count I double counted the end I found it once I counted twice and I can't actually customer okay that's what I shot at Dollar General when I worked there yes McDonald's McDonald's at the cashier two one I was pregnant with my daughter do you know how uh sales sell cellular the cell phones work you know these work they don't have a plug like a house phone do they they don't have like a cord and stuff right no better Wireless right do you know how the wireless works though um yeah it bounces off the satellite right sort of yeah so have you ever seen those cell towers they're tall they get like things coming off of them yeah that's what your cell phone uses okay yeah if you live in an area where you don't get that much signal yeah on your phone it looks like sometimes it doesn't work why do you think that is um because you're in a bad area and well what we mean by that area like maybe there's like it's time picking up the frequencies or something like that do you think maybe because there's not a tower nearby probably okay um if you were in the middle of the desert there were no cell phone towers do you think your cell phone's gonna work no okay so the only way your cell phone works is by snow Towers right yeah so if you if you uh drive from your house let's say there's a cell tower in your front yard I'm not saying there is let's say there's a sale time you're probably going if you think your phone is going to be using that cell tower at your house yeah okay do you think if you drive Plant City and go to Lowe's do you think yourself was going to be using that same Tower no because what uh there might be another one probably or closer yeah okay um so my dad explained it to me he did yeah why are you why do you do that you wanted me to learn um what did you explain that to you um whenever I first got a cell phone okay so having said that if your dad you give those 45 minutes from you say yeah so several miles and I know I'm familiar with you're up way up on 98 North right almost to a different accounting right yeah and your dad is all the way down south almost to a different County right yeah like Hillsborough County which is like a city and stuff so do you do you think that if you're talking to him on your cell phone at your house and he's talking to you on his cell phone in his house do you think both of you guys are using the same Tower no okay so when you're traveling we've learned that when you're traveling your phone's gonna use the closest Tower okay um I'm telling you that because whenever uh your phone your dad's phone is being used we can we're going to get all those phone records okay we're also going to get all your phone measures okay we're also going to get all Matthew's phone records or Cody's phone records and I'm gonna be it's it's gonna show you it's going to show us everybody you're calling and texting whether it's a phone call went through or not um and where you were when you made those phone calls same thing with your dad's phone okay um we're gonna see we're going to see text messages this stuff is deleted it's not deleted the the stuff might be deleted off the phone but I still don't hear Peter somewhere so I'm saying yeah like if I take them with a bunch of stuff yeah I found that weird that all of those text messages were kind of blank and I have been um all right Josh said that he's been seeing this guy rides down the road with a bicycle too um like every day there's a guy that rides down the road um Greenfield I don't know I was just thinking that well this that guy that you just said has nothing to do in this case yeah zero a guy who doesn't mean this so [Music] um but here's the deal so we're gonna be able to see all the university starts to lead off the phone we're gonna be able to see the text messages and everybody calls and stuff and whatever it stays okay this goes back for years okay um so we'll be able to get something from last week [Music] um we're also [Music] um I'm just I'm concerned about a lot of stuff here um Cheyenne okay and I'm not saying you're a bad person at all I know you have a very tough life okay uh having to deal with your daughter and those situations and uh do you love your daughter yes sir thank you I love you with all my heart all right um but I know you're having a tough time with that and and it's affecting your relationship um because you said that even with your guard out there it's made it better for you and Cody to work on your problems and get better as a unit so we can handle her right right um but but I have a Israel um I have a weird suspicion that um that we're not going to find a raccoon in the woods by by your by your dad's house are we I threw one out there we're gonna finally recommend that he threw out there and show you they should be out there I don't know if it is wild out there I don't know so they're just not there but a animal getting a guy I don't know I don't know what goes on in my neighborhood well we know what dead raccoons are going to be picked up by they got a bicycle right no so I'm saying if it's not there you're saying it's got to be the animals I got them right I could have went out there that's all I know I know are we gonna find it out there it should be able to find one out there but if it's not out there where where does it go how did it leave um I don't think that to be honest with you I don't think that uh you found dead raccoon or the house number one because you already said that you found rats in the house which I do not you know okay um so if you got the rats out why would you what would make you look and you said that was what was thinking yeah and you said that the meat and maggots already on so yeah but I could tell you that the garbage can does not smell anything like raw meat was in there that stuff smells horrible horrible yeah I'm gonna tell you right now I cook a lot of stuff in my house okay a lot of meat that's all and I give you a lot of shoes right I throw meat and bones and money and I was poster because if it's in the bag they don't like it but I still do it okay I don't follow all the rules and stuff but I throw I'll throw meat in my garbage can and it rods and uh so it gets real disgusting I should go um but that's that's metal does not go away it doesn't just disappear unless you unless you clean it out with bleach and put special perfumes in there all that stuff but we had guys either smell in that garbage can we didn't smell anything like run meat that would lead me to believe that there was no right weed there walk around in there that would make me believe there's nobody meeting there but here's what I think okay I don't think you're a bad person but I do think that you know where your dad is and when your daughter is okay and if you love your daughter your dad I would think that you would be honest about it I don't know where they are at all you know I'm going to tell you that when we find your dad and your daughter okay I could I can assure you that we're going to know what happened to him and we're gonna know how they got there isn't going to be any evidence whatsoever to suggest that you had anything to do with their disappearance nothing nothing like that answer my question is going to be any evidence that you had anything to do with your disappearance I'm not calling you a better person no my fingerprints are on their stuff because I always move their stuff in the house all the time I mean that's cool Dad what's this you know but is it gonna be I didn't ask you that I ask you is there gonna be any evidence in your dad's truck that would lead us to his disappearance yeah that you moved you have to understand what you're saying here you're telling me that you the that you don't even stop at your dad's house after he didn't even take you went by there you the doctor's office you are so concerned about your daughter that you don't make sure that she goes to the doctor but you drive past your dad's house he looks like he's there and he's finding everything but he didn't take her to the doctor so why would you stop Cheyenne why will you stop I just did I don't want to do I didn't want to deal with my dad but that's your daughter you said you love your daughter with all your heart mothers die for their kids yeah and a bad relationship with your dad is not going to stop a mother from making sure her daughter gets the proper treating that she needs especially if she has problems you see what I'm saying yeah so if you if you made mistakes fine we could deal with them but I need to know when I'm sick was not going and actually knocking on the door and that's not your only mistake okay you said you made it perfectly clear that your daughter's in a better place with your dad yeah but you made it perfectly clear now that the detectives have gone on the offensive Jesse is struggling to maintain her story but that's the deal but if I would have just know that he's kind of raw and I know why I'm gonna tell you Cheyenne I know why you decided to uh go get all these bug sprays and air fresheners okay it's not because dead rats are in there you think them rats just happen to die there right when your dad left do you think your dad's going to be in the house with dead rats with your daughter doesn't your dad love your daughter he made it perfectly clear according to you that he wanted to spend his last year of his life with his dog with his granddaughter why would he have him walking around with their rats in the house that's because that's not what happened that's not what happened I know why you got the the bug killer and the cleaners and I know that the house was cleaned up and I know that your dad did not put those sheets on the couch I know that that's impossible that's impossible because what's on that couch if if what's on that couch we went through those sheets so the sheets weren't just been you you know what you're saying yeah what's on that couch if your dad has sheets on there if if your dad had sheets on the couch and something happened that's going to be on the sheets okay I'm telling you right now I just need you to be honest with me I don't think you found a dead Rick okay I really don't think that I think you're probably here under the house but I think that you know where your dad and your daughter is and if you say that you don't now but we later on we show that you do know that doesn't show any love whatsoever in my book regardless of what happened if you have no remorse whatsoever for anything to do with their disappearance that makes you look bad that makes you during people realize she don't care about them she doesn't love them but people make mistakes all the time and if you share remorse for that then you know we can we can understand that okay but I just need to know from you because it's going to look bad if something happened that's what I'm saying and you know we're talking to Cody and Cody's dad and I don't know what Cody's saying right now I'm going to find out like if he's telling a different story your stories don't match then I know you're lying okay I just want you to be honest and now is the time now because I don't want company telling on you for something and you're taking some blame for something but if you I'm gonna tell you right now husbands and wives best friends they do it all the time they're not going to be in trouble they're going to play place blame on somebody else and I think what he's going to say he's going to tell us what happened and he's going to blame it on you he's going to say who's your idea because it's your kid what happened I lost my daughter with my dad I know you're lucky with him what happened I don't know Cheyenne I'm telling you I definitely right there I do I do get rid of them yeah I was rocking underneath there but you didn't throw in the woods because there's no evidence of that how people learn now there's no evidence for that whatsoever zero zero you didn't throw me in the garbage can because there was no meat in the house that was rotten do you know how long it takes for their for me to arrive like a yeah how well do you say um I know we put some out in the trash can at our house and they were talking about the trash can I'm talking about if I took how big was the package of me I'm not like this day what kind of meat was it it was from uh what kind of meat was it ground beef okay and that wasn't that was where the sink yeah inside the house yeah it was like kind of like looking like dark dark color okay but there wasn't matters and stuff on it it's impossible what night was it that you felt like Wednesday night uh Thursday no you said Wednesday yeah you said Wednesday night after your afternoon after Cody told you that about the text message was supposed to leave and I don't buy that either he's not going to have text messages on his phone that your dad is leaving the state with your beloved daughter okay because he has a year to live he's not going to tell you that because he forgets stuff you don't forget stuff that's enough that's huge that that's huge a man your dad okay whether it be your dad or not uh your dad is taking your daughter out of the state because he's dying according to him and he's going to change phones and all this stuff allegedly get all this stuff I don't even think your dad sent those text messages if they even exist did your did Cody delete them no just do it all as well the detective picks apart everything Jesse has said pointing out every inconsistency and wild claim Jesse is unsure about how to counter his accusations but stubbornly insists that she isn't lying for his phone here's what I'm gonna see when I look at the phones I can promise you this okay I can promise you if if they're on Cody's phone or whatever your dad whatever text message that or phone calls you made from your phone if you really did to your dad this was going to sell the record so I can see anything at all because it just didn't happen or we're going to see your dad's phone in the same place as your phone is in the same place Cody's phone is that means that those phones are near each other and together and the only way that would be happening is if your dad was sitting next to you text me and they were calling you and people would all do that they turn and talk to them right but these text messages are talking about going to Georgia and stuff but it was not sent from the same room so no I'm wondering what we're wondering is is what happened because we're going to be able to put all that together okay I'd rather not waste my time and find the daughter that you love that it seems like I care more about right now and I want to find your father that seems like I care more about will right now I want to find them I want to find them too okay but I need you to tell me the truth you know what happened to them now you should be honest with me what happened Cheyenne I'm telling you you know that here's what's again the meat with the meat situation it takes about two weeks okay for meat like raw meat I'm not talking about humans it takes about two weeks for all me to get that way okay when you drop your daughter off in your dad's house and you went inside and stuff wasn't me in the in the uh yeah there's me in the sink there's need to see yeah and he says I don't know about this meat it looks kind of gross stupid oh so he likes it there when he left any left dead rats on the floor where he left really come on Cheyenne just be honest be honest and I'm telling you right now I'll just be honest because if you're not honest then we find out you had something to do with The Disappearance with your father and your daughter it's going to make you look like a horrible person do you think you're a horrible person yes or no I feel like a warm weather like my dad you're a horrible person in general no I do everything that I got and maybe everything by you like I work hard I try to let them keep doing it then keep doing it being a good person because right now you know okay if you if you do everything by the book and work hard and you're a great person and you know all that stuff then do the right thing I'm telling you what I remember or what I know okay but you're not gonna forget The Disappearance of your mother or student of your father your father and your daughter how'd that happen so I want you to tell me how to happen all I know is that and I know you're gonna do it by yourself where are they let's just go over there just tell me where they're at because we're going to find them I don't know just tell me that we saw that you knew how we got there okay so if you go in and find some bad stuff in the house I can understand if you're scared and you want to hide stuff I understand that okay I also know where the team went out of the house not just bug spray you decided for some reason you all decided that you need to clean stuff up okay trust me I know this so what did where's your where's your daddy daughter [Music] so what what's going to happen when we see your dad's phone communicating with your phone what's going to happen when that call doesn't even exist on your phone on Monday when you said you tried to call and then you go straight to voicemail after to make sure he took your daughter to to uh to the doctor what's going to happen when that call doesn't exist what's going to happen if that call does exist but it's in the same place as your phone or Kobe's phone what's going to happen next because I'm not it's going to look very very Troublesome Cheyenne if your phone is communicating with your dad's phone but you guys are up in North Lakeland Jesse isn't going to be able to explain about the cell phones and both she and the detective know this there are many holes in her story but the cell phone records are going to be the easiest to disprove her version of events I really don't think you're a bad person I think you want to do the right thing and be honest if you went in there you saw something I remember okay but you're not going to forget that so you need to remember where they're at so we can find them at least at least do that at least tell us where they're at are they at the house Cheyenne yes or no I don't hear I don't know are they at the house yes or no because it's either you they are there they're not there and you know where they're at are they at that house yes or no where are they at Cheyenne you're doing that's not gonna happen because let me tell you right now is there blood in the house thank you as the last person thank you we already we already could tell I can already tell you that Vicky had nothing to do with this okay my main concern right now is finding your dad and your daughter and I don't want to mess with this all night I just want to find them what regardless of what happened I want to find them Okay so it doesn't makes you look like a horrible mother and person if you know where they're at and we can prove that and you you said you don't know that that doesn't make you look like your mother good loving mother that you do anything for your daughter does it if it is then act like it don't protect anybody this is your daughter she's six years old Cheyenne she's six years old she might have had some problems should I look at look at me move your hands sit up straight because I don't see one tear coming with your life no I'm not too busy with my life I don't have the word you gotta support my childhood pay the bills and stuff like you told me you do as an adult and I said [ __ ] you and that's been that's all I remember you can say I believe what we do know is that one question I have is there's a in the couch of those teachers like slash marks that are functional or something because it was basically pristine couch and loveseat how'd that happen I can cut it bring those like dogwood on here I don't know I just I I didn't want to look at the couch anymore so after they were gone I didn't have a 33 stabbing mix now juice because I was pissed off but he'd try to hurt me and I just was one knife I was just a little kitchen knife that's in the kitchen right now where's that in the kitchen yes by the seat that's where I left it this is how thin is how how wise it would not that wide you can't just look well because of the blade that the slash marks in there are bigger than that so it wasn't the same knife I think they were stabbing on the couch I think that you I mean I would be awesome I don't believe your story I think that you wanted to get rid of your daughter no sir I did not want to get rid of my daughter's machine save your relationship because you never told us anything about your dad being aggressive towards you until uh you said utility right I'm good huh my dad was a graduate to me he's been addressing to me a lot go ahead but that's never happened you murdered your daughter no I didn't he was on top of me and I thought of you because I was trying to get away from him that story doesn't make any sense and we used to make a sound so I had to be honest with like you're like a karate master Sean here's the issue if this man that grown man he's strong as you say listen Motors and stuff he's on top of you and he's building a knife you're not taking it from him you're going to have some cuts on them there's no way with a couple martial mixed martial arts classes that you took it away so put your hands down for me for a second there's no way that happened yes it is you're telling me a grown man was only punch you in the face with a knife and you got no cuts no lacerations no marks it doesn't make sense it doesn't add up there's no way there okay no way with just a couple classes you know how to de-arm someone with a knife and then not be able to cut you so how did it really play out why were you angry I'm sure he was he was being rude with you or saying stuff to you or being mean to you but I don't believe he got on top of you with a knife I don't believe that happened evidence suggests otherwise you happened I've seen training videos I've been a part of training where people wield knives if somebody's building a knife you're gonna have defensive wounds if you're trying to protect yourself you have nothing you have no marks which would indicate you were defending yourself to read just when Jesse thought she had figured out a way to explain her actions the detectives let her know that they don't believe this story either there's no way there's not there's just no way not from a man that can live by you said Motors yes you say it's a strong man he punch you in the face we had a knife he was attacking you with it if you don't have any knife attack marks you don't have any more nobody's indicated they saw you that week you saw Vicky you saw was Josh you want to live on the property you saw Cody so Cody Stanley nobody's in the kid you ever had a moments she complained we had bruises on your face rear forearms with your hands nobody said that so evidence suggests that that's not true that's what happened that's what happened that's what honestly thought happened yes it did he did it doesn't make sense what show would you say you guys watch all the time never mind because I ain't all done so Criminal Minds and CSI and all that stuff you watch does that make sense to you that this would happen so I might have a knife on top of somebody else and they'd have no defensive moves on their forearms your hands I know karate a little bit from watching dogs it didn't happen yes you do you don't watch karate movies and all of a sudden become a karate expert it don't happen yeah I I know what I know that's what I did in my arms were flaring around so how how many seven ones does your dad going to have I don't remember I just remember I just got it wrong hey he didn't say you're not from your partner yeah I do heaven I'm talking yes he did not try to hurt him yes he did when you're telling the truth about completely different way or not oh yeah true you're absolutely I know anyway I know oh set it for him look at me please so tell me what really happened I'm really good that's what happened how can that happen you said there was you said that the uh the coffee table was there how does all that happen you didn't fall on the coffee tip there's no way that Meredith could have ran all the way up to you guys if you're on the other side of the coffee table so there's no way it could have happened you can't lay on the floor of her run across the room with a coffee table in the middle of that room there's no way coffee table's not broke as if you fell on it so tell me what happened because that didn't happen nothing happened there's or Cheyenne look at me it's not what happened Cheyenne look up same way that bad other than that card there's no way it happened and you said your feet were towards the love seat and your head was away that's the same way with the coffee table's run yeah so she'd come run and jump over the coffee table yeah no she can't run Mommy Mommy so she come running jumped on the coffee table jumped over the coffee table we were like right next to it like going at each other's trying to protect myself tell me how it really happened because this didn't happen that's what I remember you said listen look at me or shine you said she put he pushed in the on this side of your face and now you're saying you [ __ ] you on that side then you said you had a knife which hand you have a knife in if he's poaching on both sides of the head no [Music] no that happened you know that happened well he had a knife in his hand so he's holding knife and punches you no then that one yes I understand I punched him right here and he had this listen look at me no matter how many times you say that it's still not believe the truth and it came at me and I hit him or doesn't oh somebody just wanted to hurt you that bad and they're much bigger than you and they're on top of you didn't happen you just said he's punching on both sides of the head yeah no [Music] question the head how do you know what he did there's you got too many details of you exactly knowing exactly how everything's happening when you're getting punched in the head on both sides with two Fists even though the detective walks her through the reasons why her story can't be true Jesse will not budge she is not going to take responsibility for the murders clearly of which didn't have knives and punch with such force that you didn't have any marks set up sure no matter how many times you took that it's still not true that ain't how it happened didn't happen now so tell me how it really how this incident really attacking me standing up or sitting down or on the floor unfortunately have any questions we've done to the ground wait then he's on top of me no no that's wherever you lose I kicked Adam I'm standing up on the ground on the ground I kicked at him but he never got down on top of me yeah he because Meredith Meredith didn't do anything to you and there's and he didn't stab her no based on that basis he didn't do it there's no way this happened the way you're saying the way the living that's not how Meredith gots down that's not how it happened there's no way she didn't run across the room jump over a table and come fly to you guys it didn't happen remember it's a monkey Mommy when you when you were lying to me no this isn't the truth [Music] Jesse would probably prefer this to be the truth rather than having to face the reality that she chose to kill her father and daughter for her own selfish reasons foreign [Music] [Music] so all right give me just a second [Music] in July 2019 a jury recommended the death sentence for the murder of Meredith while they vetoed ten to two for a life sentence or Weekly's murder in 2021 Jesse was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole the court bailiff who was standing close to Jesse as she was being
