I don't think you're a cold-blooded killer Mr Scott I don't I didn't do nothing to nobody man then I called around somebody said somebody been shot yeah something something bad happened at that house on West West 49th um on December 23rd Mr Scott this video contains the interview of a man who ended up not only murdering a man who owed him money but shot the person's girlfriend and dog as well in December 2019 51 year old Osby Scott found himself in serious financial difficulties he had lost nearly everything he had at the casino and still needed money to pay off his debt as a drug dealer he had several people who owed him money and he was desperate to collect one such customer Dillard Kennedy used to work with Scott knew when Kennedy would be paid and went to Kennedy's apartment to get the 200 he was owed when he arrived Kennedy told Scott he didn't have the money the two men fought and Scott shot Kennedy who died a short time later while Kennedy was down Scott went back to the bedroom where Kennedy's girlfriend Heather calthamel and her dog porkchop have been waiting for Kennedy Scott shot count and the bullet went through her leg and struck the dog instead of finishing her off scott fled and was apprehended a few days later Mr Scott your right hand but I should do that sir check the rules all right first of all I want to thank you for doing everything that we asked you again and got to walk in yes all right all right so again Mr Scott here's the thing you don't come across to me as a cold-blooded killer man I some something bad happened up there and here's the issue with what we've got to get past and we got to get in out in front of is there's two sides to every story right and somewhere in the middle is the truth yeah somewhere in here that that's what we're trying to get to something happened up in there and now the problem is this is again one person um is deceased one person isn't uh all right um and the dog got shot and the dog got shot too you know pork chop right yeah I'm quite sure I used to work with the guy crying though so Mr chair let me ask you a question that was it I I don't know again I don't know what what the argument was about um what I can say is that based on the testimony of the surviving victim based on the surveillance video from the surrounding areas really like to know what band took place up and there's something bad happened but all I know is I heard some arguments so when did you want to get to the apartment which way did you come July came I came through the street I mean through the field right there from 47th yeah because I usually meet them at the convenience store to give me that [ __ ] what [ __ ] they do have well man you know all that man well listen man give them tomorrow we're at the door please for anybody to say that I need anything to him besides talk to them they did [ __ ] wrong man it did [ __ ] wrong you don't owe me about 600 [ __ ] bucks I used to work with your man you know what I mean let me let me ask you this what kind of car did you have what car were you driving that night I don't have a car I have a I have a green Tahoe yeah is that what you were driving man oh I didn't get drove over there how did you get there my dad was over um 73rd over there by uh Clark Bar boom I was waiting for a ride to come get me so I said no let me stop over here ask these people about my money I went over there and asked him about my money tried to go ask them my mama that's what my whole purpose was let me just stop you for one second okay here's the thing Mr Scott again it's I can't impress upon you the importance of just you know telling us what happened and this is why it's already you you've locked her into this here you're at 73rd you walk to their place you walked past their street to 47th to go down 47th to cut back through a field to get to their apartment okay okay I mean that I sell adults you know what I mean again remember what I said about all the video on those houses or whatever I know you got a video man you ain't seen me doing no no you don't see me it's no good no nothing man oh no you're absolutely right man you're absolutely right kill all that man I did not all of that happened up inside of the apartment do nothing to nobody man but see here's the thing I mean we've got you on video walking to the apartment we've got you on video coming out of the field after the incident took place almost getting bit by a dog exactly exactly yeah getting into the Tahoe driving the highway no Tahoe man see that's a lot a new line when you got into an SUV and you got into the driver's seat of it and you drove away because we got you on video okay here's the question get me on video shoot nobody another man I ain't did nothing to nobody no man but I called around and found out that a man got shot I'm saying oh my God man why why would a person that knows you and has known you for a while say it was it wasn't you because listen they owe about form of qualifying update oh they may owe me 600 bucks like three months I'm gonna find that over four other different dudes that's been over the question threatening them all this other [ __ ] man she ran off with a dope dude on Carl and hear me Carl had words and all other [ __ ] man she protecting this cat man I know she is man cause I ain't getting nothing to neither one of them I say listen I want my money man I said I'll come over here to talk to you she first thing she don't don't come over tomorrow but when I get down there man when I get down to the bottom of the stairs my dude to go up their stairs somebody's up there arguing with these [ __ ] already man so you called her on the on the phone I called on the phone like four four four hours or something like that before I got stopped over Mom oh T's house whose phone is that in the truck that's my phone that's your fault it's not on it ain't no football right no you called her on the flip phone no I called her Ortiz phone who's t uh uh Latonya I caught on T's phone I stop ot's house because I said I not saying I'm [ __ ] up my phone off I lost my money in the [ __ ] Casino I'm broke you know what I'm saying so I called you I said I got car on them let me use your phone boom she let me use her phone damn I called the call I called the people over there booms they dropped me on 73rd I said you coming back through man you gonna let me rent the car for the night yes you let me rent the car for the night you see me get in see I'm saying what kind of car was it it's a a Toyota white Toyota truck or something like that but anyway an SUV yeah right and he's a junkie you know I mean that's all I did man I'll I didn't really go up and see him even though they have video footage of him leaving the apartment Scott insists that it doesn't prove anything he knows he is facing a possible life sentence and he is going to do everything he can to fight it because when I stand upstairs they arguing as you know I hear a bunch of tussling and [ __ ] I mean I get the [ __ ] on through the field so you never went in the house no not at all man I never went in the house man you never see anybody come out of it I got the [ __ ] on when I hit a touchline and then I hit a bar I'm not like I'm like I'm getting the [ __ ] home we don't want to stand around for um in your friend's apartment huh you're you're a pop in your friend's apartment that'd be a good you just said you heard a problem but listen it's a dad drive a Cadillac it's another dude they call Mac Edie over there you know what I'm saying these dudes that they that they know already man that they they they all they fall that's calling them back up for one second deep breath and just get yourself together now I'm I wasn't there again I don't know what happened okay um what I can say is this is that the the video evidence that we have after the shooting took place sure was nobody coming out of the front of that building except the surviving victim running across yelling for help and the video we have from 47th shows nobody coming out except you getting into that truck coming out yeah coming through that field when I got there when I got there somebody was up there arguing with those folks already man I don't know nothing about none of that [ __ ] I don't have who will ask her about it who wouldn't it sound like white guy black guy what it just was all her curling I ain't got money man I used to work with this [ __ ] cat man what the [ __ ] I'm a [ __ ] oh my God man there's some work with these guys well then you went you went to the casino after that no when did you go to the casino I got cracked at the casino like two days before that that's why I'm trying to get my money you didn't go to the casino that night and the next morning no sure about that about 4 30 in the morning they're not going to casino that night yeah about 4 30. which casino I went to yeah downtown yeah I don't know I once I once I say it's [ __ ] day into some other [ __ ] I say man I ain't gonna get my money I'll probably be able to see did you know that we were looking for you yeah at first I thought somebody had old need or some Vietnam you know why if if now you're saying you're a witness to something I'm not a witness for nothing you didn't see it but you heard it done go off and you know that we're after you why wouldn't you have called us to say hey man you I know I got a story for you but it wasn't me man listen I'm mad I don't want to get for none of that [ __ ] man I didn't want a good part of none of it none of it yeah not a [ __ ] drop of it man you know what I'm saying us when I when I when I heard that somebody had but you knew we were looking for you yeah man I'm talking about [ __ ] I'm like damn they Frank trying to put this [ __ ] on me I don't know we don't put anything on anyone just so you don't okay because we don't you know we got no [ __ ] in the game I just want to know the truth the truth is I did not shoot nobody bottom line you did not shoot nobody shoot nobody here is that you walk down there from the bar on 73rd I'll no I'll walk from 73rd and Clark over there I had a ride coming to get me over there meet me over there the truth is is that you got chased by the dog yeah and the truth is is that you went exactly from getting chased by the dog and got into an SUV that just was sitting over there into the driver's seat and drove away I told dude to meet me home over there electric ray was in the car yes you had to be bought the car there to me was he in it when you left in it yeah was he driving or were you oh I drove so electric ray brought the car over there and parked on the on the wrong Street no they didn't park on the right part of the street I totally parked on there because I don't want him to know them or none of that [ __ ] Scott gives a convoluted story about how he arrived at the apartment that contradicts the video it also doesn't explain why he was the only one seen leaving the building after the shooting okay you know what I'm saying that ain't his business that ain't his business well how did you know exactly where he'd be parked I can see the car man that's all I'm parked on 47. I can see the car I mean 47th goes a long way and you still trying to do that twist [ __ ] man nobody's trying to trick if I'm if I'm doing business man I conduct the business up where I wanted to be conducted if I want that person to park in a certain spot man I want any parking man that's why I say park by the field let me ask you this do you understand do you know what touch DNA is yeah right back if you when you and I were kids you watched a show in DNA you needed a gallon of spit to get a DNA match now now we all found my DNA through that apartment because I went over there frequently and [ __ ] what I told you all right I mean I understand that okay now all right hang on let me finish why would we find your DNA on the doorknobs to that apartment if I open the door after you and you're saying you haven't been there in a minute right when was the last time you were over there on the bottom a month and a half ago but you cannot say you responds don't touch DNA for me man because I'm I haven't been up there I haven't been up them stairs you know how accurate that stuff is right like I don't care run it okay run it we did it right that's what I'm trying to do you got my [ __ ] I know you ain't got much because I ain't been there okay I haven't been there I know you ain't got by [ __ ] right I'm saying the bedroom doors Heather's lying to us man Heather is not Melissa Heather what's she got against you listen what she got against me cause she knows she has to tell her dope man that she be [ __ ] with that a story about what she does she gets credit while Carl's at work and Carl had to end up [ __ ] paying these guys Heather is a sneaky slimy [ __ ] man I'm telling you man that was something she didn't get called into so much [ __ ] with dudes right he's at work she's triggered her and her and Matt's wife mad wife does her run too so if it was someone else to shot her why wouldn't you just tell us that what's the difference maybe she [ __ ] a dude that she know to do I don't know man but I'm saying I did not do none of this man I'm telling you man's putting this [ __ ] on me man this [ __ ] killing me man she says she you know watch a movie and here's a knock in the door and she goes in the kitchen and asks who it is always on the other side says it's no no so she calls Carl says Hey Cortez is here she goes back him in the bedroom with pork chop because she's dressed in night clothes and closes the door and she knows your voice because you've been there I used to work with the guy man and so she knew who it was and she comes in and she hears she hears you to arguing and it's exactly what you said it was about about money um you want your money and I said that on the phone she yells out and we ask you to leave the house next thing she knows there's a pop next thing that happens is her bedroom door gets kicked in and she's staring at you while she's holding her dog and you point a gun that you had her and pull the trigger now when she gets onto a stand and and gives that kind of a testimony Mr Scott which seems completely unprovoked and that coupled with the forensic and video evidence along with your own mission that you were there you gotta get out in front of this my man so I'm out in front of them that's it man I ain't saying that's some [ __ ] for this [ __ ] acceptance not only like that man that's some hurtful [ __ ] ideal city this [ __ ] woman man I did damn thing to this woman man so you understand it because I'm a less man I guess I'm the next [ __ ] day oh man you get the video what evidence shows nobody else going there shows nobody else leaving there Mr Scott except you man listen I don't know why so if something bad happened up in there and things got out of control so be it so be it but you got to get out in front of this because I'm telling you if if you take if you go in with this story people are going to look at you just as some kind of cold blooded ruthless killer and that's how they're going to see you you know I don't think that's you man it's not me I didn't do blow up them stairs and do nothing to them people man I didn't do nothing to them people man and you know I wonder why this [ apartment oh my God you came down 49th because we got you on video and you went up the store from 47th the truck and you turn left on the store you cut through the mechanics parking lot over there then you went down 49th let me ask you this have you you've been there before right yes you've been there before in the Tahoe yes where do you park the Tahoe before when you were there because we have video of that too I parked sometimes I park it on the street sometimes I park it on the next street sometimes I walk over there you park it you park it in the driveway look every time that we've seen you park it in the driveway or in a parking space right out in front of that house and the reason is because you're afraid you don't want somebody to steal your [ __ ] right my truck yeah yeah so why on this night the night that some dude gets killed that we're over on 47th Street what's the difference there's plenty of parking out in front of that house the difference is I don't know to be mindfulness this dude would be seen over there you know what I'm saying I don't know man listen I'm just going I'm trying to sneak up on them and see who the [ __ ] he's selling them though if he's got video you didn't see me sit over there before instead of then just watching and see who's selling them though and see if I know then they wrote so I can tell them say listen man these folks owe a lot of people man and highlighting but these cats man they got other people coming up there to [ __ ] with them man I did not do nothing for that [ __ ] I've been trying nothing more you own any guns no have you ever owned any guns none at all if I showed you a picture of a gun that you had that would be what I doctored the picture what a little a little little tiny looks like a little block Maybe little 26. 320 I don't know little gun a little gun in your hand I don't have no guys man never touch a gun I do not have a gun so if I got a picture of you holding the gun yeah huh if you got a picture of me on a gun you got to figure me over to go but it's not yours I don't have a gun have you ever had a gun no sir have you ever tried the song no sir have you ever given a gun to anybody for home protection because you were worried about them you know because they promised that they were going to try to buy the gun from you no none of that happened okay fair enough I don't even you know what Mr Scott I don't think you meant to shoot Carl I don't know I think it was an accident you panicked after the fact I assume you don't know what to do nobody in his shoes I did not in the fact that you left without making sure Heather was gone shows me that none of this was planned it was a sure Panic moment you're not a cold-blooded killer because if you were you would have made sure that there were no Witnesses left while it is possible that Scott only meant to use the gun as intimidation the fact that he parked in an unusual spot makes that less likely to be the case as for leaving krauthammel alive he may have just panicked because she didn't go down as quickly as Kennedy and someone may have heard the shots you didn't do that I know you're not I said across from cold-blooded killers and you're not one of them they look right through you when they look at you things went bad girl I mean Mr Scott I I don't know exactly what happened I don't I I there's not a doubt in my mind that you didn't mean to shoot curl there's not about my Miami you were there maybe trying to get the money that they owed you know they owe you money I mean they're living on the streets and again you know I've been doing this 24 years he's been doing it 26 27. here's we get it when the oleana streets and and that's a change they take when they're getting the [ __ ] on credit that eventually they're going to have to pay pay it back I think the things just got out of hand or there's no one out in my mind that's his version my version is that you knew you were going to go over there to Rob them you parked on the other side of the street you walked around there maybe Rob got bad something went bad but you knew that you were gonna not park in front of that house because you knew it was going to go down in the house that's my version that makes it premeditated so when we present this to a prosecutor you know maybe my version wins maybe his version wins but that's a roll of the dice that you're in control of right now if something happened in that house that caused you to defend yourself if something happened in that house that was accidental and that's something that we need to know about because right now I'm looking you swearing the eye and I'm telling you you knew what was going to go on down there because you parked that car on the other side of the street on the other Street you walk down 49th and then you went through the cut after those folks got shot and you went to the truck the dog almost scratched it would you admitted you got in the driver seat that truck and you drove away all right so if something happened to that house that could tend to justify that means you went there knowing that you were going to do what you did I think you parked on the other Street just so they wouldn't know that you were coming over and you were there and you just wanted to surprise them and get your money dick said I paid them guys go get yours that's the reason why I came through the freaking field man I ain't want them to say you didn't come through the field though I'm saying that's the reason why I parked I had dude park on the other side all right so if you park on the inside why wouldn't you have walked through the field to get to the house because I I'm scared to go through the field that's so damn much better you know there's a lot of money yeah it's a lot of [ __ ] thing because it's horrible you know what I'm saying so I walked around and you were walking around walking and I said I will go to I say something to them man go up the stairs and I'm telling you man there's another one let's let's just get rid of that story okay it's again it's just not true it's not true we've watched it there's all kinds of video ain't nobody went up in that house and I I don't think the killer I don't think it was premeditated I don't and that's going to be the huge Factor it wasn't cremated man don't tell us what happened the real man yeah unreal and Roman here listen when I did talk to Chrome Crossing there with the pistol like I'm gonna [ __ ] attack him or something I scored for my bread I said I get we get to argue and I said man this here man I'm gonna play you like that I'll bring you food and all that [ __ ] you know what I'm saying when you broke man you [ __ ] up man I'll make a way to bring you [ __ ] and have it bring hers tomorrow my father there and I tell us a heavy stuff that uh Carl we get up with my phone because man man I didn't go in there to hurt no [ __ ] body she tell you that she told me what was in the arguing and she told me you know she did you know what I'm saying and then [ __ ] went off I ain't killed nobody I ain't gonna wear no attention all right how did she get shot through [ __ ] where the [ __ ] a lake man what's up man I think she probably got shot when we was talking with the gun I don't know man I don't know this [ __ ] happened so [ __ ] fast I go to accident about my [ __ ] money man they get to tussle them with me and that's you know I'm [ __ ] up for life no no come on detective man prosecutor go to grab me up man go in prison for life man guys I'm giving you my word as a man and really I mean that's all we have a little bit if we're gonna we're gonna re-interview Heather and we're gonna we're gonna pressure [ __ ] man how many times it couldn't go off I think two times two times because the first time we'll call with like this where were you at when the we're in the front room okay okay we're in the front room we like this what happened to Heather I think was in the bedroom when she got shot we know that for a fact in the front room eventually we're trying to figure out so so like here's the front room right yeah the kitchen and then you have the bedroom here right is that pretty incredible yeah right the TV was like right here so she had to be so good here's the thing this this one piece of evidence is over here one piece of evidence is over here we're trying to figure out how she got shot in the bedroom we was tussling by the team because when she said she said I said [ __ ] uh Carl come towards me because we buy the bedroom door right right here so she got shot in the bed when the door opened she gets shot because we right there by the team okay well I I can promise you one thing uh I don't know what your criminal history is uh even being honest with you all right next to 2013. from what for uh egg Burgery or something like that there man that's what I was 13 years for agberg Ohio they had all them specs on it but there he is man I'm so relieved that this [ __ ] is overweight man because I could I could see it in your face right now do you want some more coffee well it's been so [ __ ] it's traumatic it's amazing how Scott can kill a man shoot a woman and her dog and still be able to think that he is the one having a traumatic experience I can't even imagine laughs cream and sugar in it what was that cream and sugar in it yeah you want coffee or water some [ __ ] jacket where's your where's the Tahoe at sold guitar you did all right hey this is so [ __ ] hot y'all know I was at the car lot I'm tired I could two things it's going to depend on your record which we have I don't know what it is going up there and trying to be a friend of somebody life you say you owed you 600 bucks it's only Boston he's supposed to give me 200. are you supposed to give me two and he told me you have it yeah I started getting some um when was the last time you you guys worked together Last Summer did you after that night did you go over to Buckeye 119th over there no okay Mr Scott if you have any questions for us let's go stay cremated I'm still one of life I don't think so what's going to happen you're going to be charged on the warrant okay you have we have to do that we have to charge on the warrant um that'll be tomorrow I'm not going to get no accident on I'm outside I'm not gonna get nothing like that today we can't sit here and say that okay I know what it's going to say man it's gonna say straight up murder man that's going to be up to a grand jury does a car overlay there's no hope you know you know the the real Scott knows that he faces being charged with murder and that getting that reduced isn't going to be an option the real um stuff takes place after the indictment you're aware of that takes place with the defense attorneys and the prosecutor's office I I will sit here man-to-man and say that I appreciate you being honest well it does it does go away because here's the thing you you know I mean we're all about the same age in this room in either on one side or the other side we've been involved with the system a lot of years so you do understand that courts take into consideration people that show remorse and there's not a doubt in my mind that you didn't mean for that to happen and this [ __ ] is so bizarre man how'd you end up how did you end up at the car lot I have previously invested that's why I was broke uh the previously except one love Couple Grand I had left invested in some cars to start a sale and you know just got the cars fixed to the phone put them on a lot of something and that little black one was one of those cars that's my car that's your car because you gave them you gave them a down payment for that card oh I bought the car from the auction I'm trying to flip the car so I can make some money and get me out of the apartment because I don't [ __ ] up at the casino and lost all my [ __ ] money I can't pay my damn bills so I'm out my little [ __ ] efficiency or whatever the [ __ ] I'll be staying at when I Stay I know I'm done man all right Carl [ __ ] didn't deserve me asking about this stuff yeah okay um I'll call radio all right so there's there's two things that we like for you to do not entirely one is the cell phone uh that's in the car we want to get the cell phone and take a look at what's in the contents of the cell phone in order for us to do that there's two ways we can do that we can get search warrant to do that or you can just give us a consent to search the cell phone right now and that's completely up to you either way we're good with it um it just goes into that cooperation thing what the prosecutor is going to hear from me is that you were jumping up on that scene I think you could tell by the tone of my voice and the look of my eyes that I was not happy to be there um by myself with somebody that you know I think is a suspected murderer and I really sincerely appreciate you doing everything that I told you to do all right so the prosecutor is going to hear that story prosecutor is going to see this interview um you know we we're looking for a consent search for the phone and uh also for we're going to take a DNA sample with the swabs um here today or we can come back and do it down to the job to get a search for it again it's it's it's going to get done it's just whether we have to go through the motions in court or forget if you're going to voluntarily unless I get down the road oh for my accident off of you what all from a simple accident what's the correct spelling
