At first, there's only silence, the kind that comes right before the storm. Okay. I don't have no clothes on. >> This is Hannah Grace Cobb. She made the 911 call to save herself from the worst only to realize it had already started. And this is the kind of nightmare where your legs freeze at the worst possible moments. For Hannah, what comes next is out of her control. You want to work out? >> Got a ball. >> You don't have a baby. >> CPR in progress. >> CPR in progress. I get >> scene's clear. >> Scene is clear. All right, we got This is 33-year-old victim Telden Osborne. He lies motionless, covered in blood. On closer inspection, officers find a single gunshot wound to his chest fired at close range. As CPR is underway, Hannah begins to explain how it happened. If you're finding this case interesting so far, subscribing helps support the channel and it makes sure you don't miss future stories. Now, let's pick it back up. >> Hey, breathe for me. Okay, breathe. Breathe. Look at me. Breathe. >> Yes, sir. >> Breathe. >> It's my baby. My baby. I shot him. I didn't >> Let's step out here. The small apartment is home to the victim, his girlfriend Hannah Grace, and their two children. So far, there's no sign of an intruder. >> And we just we got home recently and we were just checking my gun from when we got in and I pulled it back and the safety wasn't on. I didn't check it first. That was my fault. And I just I just looked at it and I pulled the trigger on accident. >> Yeah. All right. So, just give me one second. Okay. I got to get my notebook and stuff. I just need you to breathe for me. Stay right there. Please just make some >> Hey, will you do me a favor? But before I did, I my finger was on the trigger and that was my fault. That was my fault. And I'm so sorry for not having proper gun safety and I shot my baby. I didn't mean to. Hannah describes it as an unfortunate accident. Inside, officers have tried everything to undo it, but it looks like there's no way back. >> I ran straight. Got it. [snorts] >> I didn't see an extra wound, but I didn't go up far enough on his back. She said the child >> child. >> I don't see a child. >> Yeah, she just told us that the child was not here. Get that. >> Mobly. Mobly. What time did it happen? trying to touch anything. >> Yeah. [snorts] >> Ready. One, two, three. your bag still in there. Although Hannah insists it was an accident, back at the crime scene, far more unsettling possibilities are beginning to take shape. >> [snorts] >> Yeah, she's in the back. [snorts] Try not to disturb it too much, but where's this thing at? the a blanket that's in another room. >> Yeah. um I think it's 8:41 West to take the clip out and everything and I just didn't mean to. We were just getting ready for bed and I always check my gun before I go to bed as well as his gun before we go to bed and we put him by our nightstand and one on the dresser and and I just went to do it. He was he was standing in front of me and I just pulled it back on accident and I didn't know it wasn't on safety and I I did pull the trigger and it was so easy. >> All right, just just calm calm down. God, I didn't mean I would never shoot my baby. I love it. >> Listen, just breathe for me, okay? Just focus on breathing right this second. Get get your breathing under control. >> Yes, sir. I'm sorry. >> And then we'll go from there. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> Thank you, buddy. >> Yes, sir. >> Just focus on that for right this second. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> What is [snorts] your name? >> My name is Hannah Cobb. >> Spell your first name for >> H A N H A N >> A H >> A H Cobb. That's C O B. BB. >> Okay. What's your date of birth, MCO? >> 217 2000. >> 217 2000. >> 2000. >> 2000. >> Is he okay? >> Um, not sure. I'm sorry. >> Okay. >> But you don't know his address in Midville >> and I don't know the the PO box. No, sir. Okay. [snorts] All right. Just hang tight for me real quick. She states that he's got a different address in Midville, but they have been staying together. Um, how long has he been staying here with you? >> We've been staying here for a little over six months. >> Six months. So technically I live together. >> Yes, we do live together. We've been together for five plus years. >> Okay. All right. So we're just going to use this as address for here. >> Please tell me he's okay. Is he even out? >> Well, we're going to get all that in just a second. Okay. >> All right. >> No. Are they [ __ ] doing compressions? >> Sir, please. My husband. That is my baby. I cannot let him die. Let's walk back OVER HERE. I SWEAR TO GOD. I'M SORRY, SIR. I did not mean to. It was complete accident. My baby. >> Let's walk over here. Hey, walk over here. >> The father of my children, please. >> Hannah appears caught in a spiral that deepens with each passing second. Still, it's crucial to test every part of her account. She's devastated. And while that's expected in moments like this, it doesn't rule anything out. This video shows a desperate escape attempt by a criminal who had successfully concealed a weapon, which he then turns on police while still under arrest. You can watch it right now, plus many more Patreon exclusive videos [music] for as little as $2 a month at patreon.com/strangerstories. Plus, >> GPS takes you way up. >> [snorts] >> She said 21 just said 27. So I'm guess he looked at the side of the building. I'm trying to figure out where the bullet hit him in the chest. Not that I can see, but I didn't do a full sweep. >> But um top left. >> That's what I'm saying. He didn't go far. So he probably >> to the right. So that's possible. >> Yeah. That's exactly what happened. >> And maybe some of her story of she thought it was on safety when she was pointing at him. It's possible involuntary mans. But for this >> she Especially if there's an altercation involved in he was a non non cleared uh employee I guess because he's got no clearance right there and then that means he's got to have some at all times. That's exactly what happened. >> Get away from me. Get away from me. Oh crap. The guy's It wasn't all safety. >> Talvin has been transported to the hospital. While the inspection of the crime scene is yet to conclude, focus shifts back to Hannah's story. Hey, listen to me. Listen to me. >> Just breathe. Breathe. Breathe. >> My baby. >> Hey. [laughter] >> Hey. We're just going to walk over here. >> Hey, what' I tell you about your breathing? Hey, look at me. Look at me. Look at me. Breathe. Okay. I need you [snorts] to breathe very hard. Breathe. Hey, look at me. Look at me. Look at me. Look at me in my eyes. Breathe. Breathe. Focus on your breathing. Breathe. You're good. Breathe. Okay. into your nose and hold for a minute and then let out and walk with me. Okay. >> Okay. Yes. >> Focus on me and walk with me. >> Just breathe. Okay. Breathe. Breathe. >> Baby. I didn't mean to. >> Just keep breathing. >> I didn't mean to breathe. >> Yeah. We're going to walk in my car. Just keep breathing. Okay. >> I swear to God. >> Just Just walk with me. Okay. Just keep breathing. [laughter] >> It was an accident. It's okay. I swear to God. Just breathe. >> Please help me. Hey. Hey. >> Let's have a seat right here. Okay. Please sir, please. My baby. My baby. My baby. >> Hey. Hey. Breathe. I'm going get focus on your breathing. >> Oh, boy. >> There's some right beside the black box around the corner of my room. >> I'm sorry, sir. I swear it was a It was an accident. I just pulled it back. And when I did to check the chamber, I pulled the trigger on accident. It was It was just easy. It's a very easy trigger. It's a Taurus G6 uh G2, whatever. >> Okay. >> And it was It's very easy trigger. And I accidentally pulled it when I was pulling pulling it back to check the chamber to see if there was any bullets in it and I didn't know that there was and I just easily pulled it. My finger was on the trigger and that was my fault for not having proper gun safety and I apologize. >> Would you like a water or something? >> No, sir. I just really want my baby my husband to be okay. That is >> Hey, right now he's getting the treatment that he needs. Okay. They're they're going to try to do what they got to do to help him out. Okay, sir. But for right now, I just need you to focus on us so we can do our jobs and so that they can do our their jobs, do what they got to do, but I just need you to focus on your breathing right now, sir. >> And just trying to keep a calm and level head. I understand that it's a high stress situation. I get that and I'm sorry for that, sir. >> But >> for us to do our job, you have to also help us out. Okay. >> So, um, just stay right here. And he's going to stand right here. I got to grab something out of my car. I'll be right back. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> Hannah had been out clubbing until midnight. and both she and her boyfriend were intoxicated. Her story is largely plausible except for one unsettling detail. Why in that late night party haze would she decide to clean her firearm? >> That she had the gun in the bedroom was checking it and the gun went off and and shot him. That's all she's given right now and that's all she can say. >> And the gun went off. Um, she didn't out of spontaneous utterance admit that it was a G2C. I'm assuming it's a Taurus. >> I see. >> So, it's inside. >> Yeah. >> Can you just put your hands out here for me? >> Yes, sir. >> Flip them back over. >> Yes, sir. >> Can I see your thumb? >> Yes, sir. >> I had fake nails on. I just took them off. >> Okay. Nice. >> Baby, what? What is it? What is this condition? Can somebody tell me something? >> They'll be able to know more once they get him down there. >> We don't know yet. Okay. >> It's going to be a while. >> Oh my god. It's going to be a while. >> They have to go down there to the hospital and they have to do things down there in order to try to help him. >> I'm sorry. There's a lot of >> It was an accident. It was an accident. >> Yeah, you can stand right there next to the door. >> Do you want some water or something? I got some water in the car. >> No, sir. >> Okay. Soon after beginning their primary investigation, officers pulled the front ring camera footage from Telvin and Hannah's house. The footage shows Telvin alive and well with no sign of an argument or disturbance. Nothing that could explain how Hannah might have intentionally killed him less than 80 minutes later. This interview has started out on one note, but not even one officer can guess yet how it is going to end. >> So, we went out last night. >> I mean, everything was fine. We had a great time. We went to Majestica downtown Augusta. >> Majestica. M Y >> M I Y J E. >> Look it up. Just good. And that's downtown. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> We were drinking. We were having a good time dancing. Nothing >> drinking a good time. >> Yeah. Nothing crazy happened at all. >> Mhm. We came back home. We dropped my friend off. >> What? Um, what time did I leave the club? >> At closing so we just went straight home. >> Who's your friend though? >> Her name is Nia. >> Nia. >> A N by a H. >> A N >> Y >> a H. >> What's that? Robertson. >> R E >> Robert E R I N S Robert S. >> Where I dropped her off at? >> We dropped her um she was um she had a room at a hotel Hampton in on Washington Road. >> What time? >> I I can't recall honest. Um I hadn't been like 3 or so. >> Okay. 3330 latest I guess. Um I I went in I checked to see if the clothes were done in the washing machine, but I didn't switch them over. I took my clothes off. I was a little bit intoxicated. I did not drive, >> so I just kind of threw my clothes wherever they landed >> and I went to go use the restroom and take my makeup off. I took my lashes off first and threw them in the trash and I wash my face. I brush my teeth and then I turn around and I picked my pistol up out of my purse because it's our nightly routine. We always check our guns. We He puts his on the nightstand. I mean on the dresser. I put mine on the nightstand. >> I know you're not supposed to have one in the chamber, but we do keep it in the chamber at night >> just cuz I've witnessed a breakin. I've been a part of a breakin. It's just something I'm scared of. So, yes, we do keep one in the head. >> And I was just I wasn't even looking looking at him. I just I just picked my gun up. I took the clip out. I put it back in and I pulled it back and I didn't it wasn't on safety and I didn't check that. >> That was my in my finger. It was on his finger. >> Let me uh let me read this before you start talking about that that situation. Um, and it's just it's just your rights. Uh, >> no, not saying you did anything, but just just for us, you know what I'm saying? Once we question you, and then once we start talking about like what happened. So, at first, I wanted to talk to you about what happened that night. Um, just to get a story of everything. Make sure y'all is good. Make sure y'all didn't have any arguments. >> I know that there's a hole in the wall, but it's not from violence. It's from sex. >> Okay, I got you. So, I'mma I'mma just read this. I'mma read this off and then we can continue our uh our we talk. Um and you you not under arrest right now or no you ain't under arrest. [clears throat] So it's just basically your uh rights. Um it's a waiver counselor to read. I had a cop by the undersigned law enforcement officers prior to being questioned. And I'm going to read one at a time and then you can initial like about each one. [clears throat] So it says one that I may remain silent and do not have to make any statement at all. >> By the time this interview ends, Hannah will have told the truth twice, once by accident, once on purpose, and somehow both versions will still disagree. >> So on the way home, what did y'all talk about anything? Not really. >> Singing. >> I mean, we were just we was just riding really. Like I said, I I mean, I had had a couple of drinks, so I was just kind of ready to get home. No argument or nothing. It's just [snorts] >> Did y'all um stop anywhere else other than uh dropping your friend off at Hampton on Washington Road? You went straight home? >> Yes, sir. >> Tell me about your relationship with like do y'all argue. >> Of course. We're I mean we've been together for almost seven years, >> right? >> We have two children together. We live together. Of course, we argue like married like married couples, but we're not physical, >> right? >> We're not We don't have physical like altercations. Like we yell at each other. We scream at each other. >> You get on my [ __ ] nerves. Whatever. >> I love him. I would never hurt him. >> I mean, yes, we I mean, yeah. any every we argue yes sometimes >> so >> about money about who's going to pay this bill who's going to pay that bill >> typical arguments >> typical arguments >> um saying never got physical with you never >> got you >> yeah I know talking to some other folks that knew him said he used to have anger issues I didn't know if he did he ever got physical with you or anything >> he he he was physical with a previous girl several years ago when he was 18 years I don't want that to be used against him. It's not on his record. It is not. He did what he was supposed to do. >> He's never done that with you. >> He's never done that with me. No. >> No. We have two children together. Two. I have two steps with him. >> Mhm. >> We have a We have a healthy like we intend to be married, but we have a long life together. >> Where um what where were the kids? >> My children are with my mother. It was we had planned to go out Well, so when I come in here and I I put you in here and and I went to the hospital to check on him, I was I mean, this is hard to do. >> He didn't make it. >> NO, YOU'RE [ __ ] LYING. YOU'RE LYING RIGHT NOW, SIR. OH MY [ __ ] GOD. NO, PLEASE. My kids, DAD, THAT TAIL IS GONE. I [ __ ] KILLED HIM. OH MY [ __ ] GOD. OH MY GOD. HE DIDN'T MAKE IT, SIR. PLEASE BE LYING. Don't tell me that. [laughter] I DIDN'T MAKE IT. WHAT DO YOU MEAN? YOU GOT TO TAKE ME OUT. I'M GOING TO HAVE a panic attack. Please, sir. Please. Please. Oh my god. Oh my god. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. PLEASE. PLEASE LIE. Please lie to my husband. My husband died. My husband died. Children die. Children die. My husband died. HE DIED. OH MY GOD. OH MY [ __ ] GOD. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. Oh jeez. Oh my god. What the [ __ ] am I going to do this? My kids dead. My kids are too. What the I DID IT. I DID IT. I DID IT. AM I GOING TO GO to jail? OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. MY HUSBAND DIED. Mark died. I'm about to throw up. I'm going to pass the [ __ ] out. I'm going to pass the [ __ ] out. What the [ __ ] >> Did he uh did he say anything to the knife like before they before y'all dropped them off? >> We talked about it because we were all we were all like together when we were walking out and >> y'all y'all went there together. Like all y'all went together. Okay, I got you. >> Yes. So, when we got you know after when it's when the when the argument started, we were all together and we were all talking about it like that it was silly and that it was no need. Same old same old. So yes, she was aware that we we were in argument, but we like I said, we settled it. We did not we were not fighting when we got home. We were good. We was I I was undressed. Okay, if that makes sense. We was We was good. We was back to our loveydovey happy selves. We was ready to get in the bed, watch our TV. and enjoy the rest of our night. Was not no more arguing. Gota >> which I mean it's not uncommon for Well, I don't want to make you I don't want to say that cuz everybody relate. >> What are you going to say? You know, when when alcohol gets involved, it's not uncommon for a couple to ar for a couple to argue about something so stupid. Like, >> it's not uncommon for couples to argue. Period. >> Period. Yeah. But I don't want that to be pushed upon me as, "Oh, y'all got an argument. You shot at that." That's not saying that. >> Well, listen. Listen, the thing is is that regardless of what happened, all we want is the truth. So don't think that we're going to think of something one way and not tell us the truth because of how we're going to perceive it. We need to know >> the truth. I understand. And that is yes, we argue before we got back home. Yes, we did. Yes, we did argue before we got back home. Yes, we did. >> It may sound like a confession making it clear Hannah hasn't been honest from the start. Still, it ends in charges of involuntary manslaughter. And if it feels strange now, it's about to become shocking in court. On the 28th of February, 2025, only 2 days later, Hannah Grace Cobb was detained and arrested on the charges of involuntary manslaughter. However, on May 24th, 2025, a grand jury declined to press charges against Hannah Grace Cobb. The decision didn't sit well with many. It doesn't rule out future charges, but for now, Hannah is free and the case remains odd. Only one truth stands. Either Hannah is at fault or justice. And that's where we end this video.
