half years their arrogant refusal to obey the New Mexico state constitution and state laws made it so that the department did not have a single lawfully sworn Deputy for two and a half years that means that for two and a half years all of these guys paraded around Lincoln County and their costumes and their fancy cars but not a single one of them was a lawful law enforcement officer meaning that not a single one of them had the legal unlawful authority to carry out the duties of a law enforcement officer they were quite literally nothing more or less than civilians running around in costumes pretending to be cops for two and a half years documents filed with the 12th Judicial District Court of New Mexico claimed that sheriff wood violated both the State Constitution and multiple State statutes the documents claim that on December 30th 2020 Sheriff wood and his deputies were administered their oath of office by Larry e wood who signed the oath as honorable Larry e wood Magistrate Judge retired the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office proudly displays their flagrant disregard for New Mexico Constitution and state law on their Facebook cover page showing former disgrace judge Larry e wood dressed up in a black robe pretending to be a real judge in administering an oath of office to a bunch of deputies documents claim that from 1983 to 2005 Larry e wood was a judge but was allowed to resign after alleged misconduct with a stipulation that he should never again hold become a candidate for run for or stand for elections in the future so there's no evidence that he's a notary and we know that he's not a judge even though he's playing dress-up and pretending to be one but why does all this matter New Mexico State Constitution Article 20 section 1. every person elected or appointed to any office shall before entering upon his duties take And subscribe to an oath or affirmation that he will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution and laws of this state New Mexico State Statute defines who can administer an oath of office including a notary public a judge a clerk or Deputy Clerk of any state court or a person according to the this for decades without any problems it's so easy you just walk into a court and have an actual judge swear you in but it appears that Michael Wood is just so arrogant that he blatantly disregarded the Constitution and state laws in order to have his daddy a disgraced former judge swear him in but that's not the way it works and therefore for two and a half years Lincoln County sheriff and deputies had no lawful authority to exercise their duties legally and lawfully they had no more Authority than you and I and yet they were running around pulling people over giving them citations evicting people and making arrests so it appears that nobody actually noticed for two and a half years that this guy wasn't even a judge and that none of them actually took their oath of office it wasn't until recently that sheriff Woods started swearing in deputies by himself and then posting pictures of it on their Facebook page it was these posts that caught the attention of one of the other deputies that actually knows the law and understands that they have to be sworn in by a judge or a notary it was this that caused at least one Deputy to look into his own oath of office and found that he didn't actually have one because he had been sworn in by a fake judge he immediately filed litigation asking the court to demand the sheriff and the deputies to come in and swear their oath of office because he realized that without that they were not even law enforcement officers just civilians in silly costumes they rushed all of the deputies into the courthouse to be properly sworn in our deputies to they also had to contact the jail and start having all of the inmates released because none of them were arrested lawfully have you guys already released all the inmates I think we've
