I'm Sergeant Cindy with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office last night Deputy shibner was driving his Tahoe Northbound on Alternate 19 approaching Cedar Street in Dunedin when a Honda Accord pulled out directly in front of him Deputy shibner was unable to stop in time and struck the driver's side front door of the Accord the driver Edward Parsons was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Deputy shivner sustained minor injuries Parsons showed signs of impairment in a DUI investigation began he was arrested and charged with DUI involving property damage and was transported to the Pinellas County Jail before drinking always plan a designated driver or a safe way home ahead of time utilize a taxi or ride sharing service or call a sober friend or family member to get you home safely
