hey guys welcome back to north country off-grid today's video is talking about some local government issues taking place hey everybody it's James Freeman so I'm bringing you this video today out of Bonner County Idaho so this story comes from a YouTube channel called north country off-grid this guy is not an activist he's just a guy trying to live his life provide for his family and simply be left alone this is the type of thing though that's led a lot of us to activism he's a great guy who takes good care of his family works hard for what he has and believes in respecting other people's property and rights as well like many of us he's getting sick and tired of the parasitical leeches who don't want to produce anything for society and simply want to suck everything that we produce away from us some of us call these people leeches some call them welfare some call them government employees but today we're gonna watch a sit-down meeting that was sent in to us by a resident of this area they've asked to remain anonymous they are in fear of reprisal from the county if their name was to get out at all which is horrible that anyone would feel the need to have to hide from their county officials for fear of retribution against them but they are being what they feel is targeted for their their lifestyle a traditional lifestyle of trying to homestead of trying to live off-grid but they feel that they are being targeted because the county here wants to clean up quote-unquote clean up the area so that they can bring in developers and they can get people in and jack up prices of land values and you know having tiny houses on the 20 acre lot doesn't speak well for the 20 acre lot next to them if they're trying to get top dollar the occupancy on the recreational vehicle on a lot of our slopes shall not exceed 120 days and they need 12-month period not including RV parks so if you have an RV on your property guys this is absolute insanity what is it that makes these guys believe that they actually have the right to tell other human beings what type of structure they can or cannot close their eyes and fall asleep in on their own property we're talking about private property we're talking about rural County property out here we're talking in the county excuse me we're talking about property in the middle of the woods and when they find out that you have an RV they think that you should only be allowed to stay there for 120 days and that is it on your property your private property these guys these four guys sitting here there's three commissioners and the Planning Department think that this is acceptable [Music] so we do we do enforce complaints and we could have complained of somebody staying on their property I guess my point is it's hard to prove guys to me it doesn't even matter whether somebody complains about you living away that they don't want you to or not nobody has the right to tell somebody else what kind of structure they can or can't live in so we've created these systems and we call it civilization where you get to tell your neighbor how they can or can't live and if the right people agree with you you can actually send guys with guns called police out to their property to either force them to pay money for not obeying what you want them to do or physically remove them put them in cages and or take their property away from them and you call this being civilized this isn't civilized it's barbaric and if you're participating in it you're a criminal [Music] the more they taxed the more they raise fines the more money that they get they will then spend it on stuff tax and spend you'll see with fawn or County they like doing that they tax you more then they spend more and then they come back years later asking for more it's why these County Commissioners make some 86 thousand dollars a year I think is what it is to me and I think that's over payment for sitting around making jokes during a County Commissioner meeting essentially question so on the RV so we just still would be not county commissioner Jeff Connelly of district 2 sitting next to him the cowboy Steve Bradshaw of district 1 county commissioner I would guess that by Jeff Conley's statement and sort of phrased questions he is not in favor of people being able to live in RVs on their own property they seem a little perplexed as to what they should do and I would offer up this statement it's none of your business what people do on their property or how people choose to live on their property I'm not sure where these guys feel like they got the the end-all be-all answers to whether or not people get to they should not be under the impression that they are in control of how people live on their properties that's my suggestion [Music] [Music] yeah so Jeff Connolly could see himself living in an RV temporarily while he builds a home but permanently well no that's great Jeff Connolly that you can't see yourself permanently living that way but do you actually think Jeff Connolly that you have the right to tell somebody else that they can't with with the right circumstances it's doable especially if it's on the private property because you can put in a shack you can put a roof over it's no roof over which people do some of them build a complete whole barn and put the RV inside the pole part we don't even know it's there right and they're living in a urogram fossil that great some of built houses for people that they had a pole barn set up they'll put their RV in it stay there till their house is complete and about half time they sell it harder be after the house is finished but so maybe it's just a matter of yes people this is why we pay taxes no it's not for the roads it's for these guys to be able to sit around and talk about what they think will be ok ways for you to live or not live and how they can extract money from you or even take away your property should you decide to live in a way that they deem unacceptable [Music] again this is so raw and in the very beginning education but that was some of the discussions from the workshop Thursday nothing's been written nothings down on paper but this is where these things start to come to life in these workshops and so again what the public wants to see should have no bearing whatsoever on this the members of the public who actually show up to participate with these crazy men in deciding what other people can and can't do with their property are just as crazy the type of people who actually show up to talk about or vote on how to control their neighbors arbitrarily seem to think that they're more sophisticated than other people again arbitrarily controlling your neighbor by the threat and force of the state is not sophisticated it's barbaric and you are a criminal for participating in it guys I'm gonna leave at the end of this video the information for Milton at the end of this video he says we're kind of waiting to see what we're gonna do on the law the code of people living out here so they're still in the planning process of it this video is recent so you guys feel free to call up Milton and let him know if you feel that it is just wrong that they try to dictate whether or not someone lives in an RV if you currently live in an RV and don't want to be targeted I suggest you get your voice heard guys I don't live in an RV and it really isn't my fight yet it is our fight if they're doing this to our neighbors and neighbors are contacting me because they feel targeted it is up to us to stand together as neighbors as Americans so here's the contact guys finish out the rest this video really appreciate you watching it appears that Milton is doing everything he can to get the light off of him he has submitted privacy complaints on North Country off grids YouTube channel to try to get the videos taken down and removed as well as slapping him with code violations of his own and sending regular threatening letters in the mail so guys I got an interesting I got an interesting email today from YouTube talking about in the two and a half years we've been making YouTube videos that I got a violation I'd done something wrong it turns out someone had filed a complaint against me for a privacy policy complaint guys and I I kind of knew where this was going pretty quick before I even got down into the meat of the email it turns out that the governing body of Bonner County does not like to get put onto social media they do not like when you call them out publicly and those videos are shared with hundreds of thousands of people this is a very important lesson if you can read between the lines but I'll try to lay it out there for you the thing they don't like about it is the comment section where people get to voice their opinions of what they think of these people and the way that they are acting you know a lot of people go day to day without ever getting criticized or critiqued by people happens to me all the time I'm used to it but these officials who like to hang out at the comment section of my youtube channel they didn't like what they're hearing and they haven't liked it and it's caused quite a bit of a stir up here in North Idaho in the last about a month I guess we got County Commissioners they're unhappy with the things that are said on this channel and we just received a complaint from the Planning and Zoning Department guy that we went and talked to who tried to get my video taken down because he didn't like the public opinion of him now guys it is no surprise that they do not like rights they don't like our private property rights they want to have control of our property and they want to have say in what we do out here and they want to be able to collect their money that's why they're coming after landowners so hard now they're not sitting back and just waiting for complaints to come in no they've got their compliance officers searching out those complaints and they're either lying to the county commissioner about it or the county commissioner knows that it's going on and he's liens the people that it's taking place but we're gonna get to the bottom of all that because we'll put them all on camera and we'll ask them the questions and we'll get their answers check let's go back to my original question I'm not gonna answer your questions I'm not here to answer any of your questions your job your job is to answer and serve the public correct check is my job to serve you in any way I'm not actually to serve me I'm asking if you do I would we're doing in London I was asking if you knew I'm asking you questions they're not even answering that only if you're not you know I have so many questions I don't care to have you finish anything you have to say you're sitting here acting as though I owe you something I owe you nothing but saying you owe you absolutely nothing so for you to have your employees when they run out of time to sit on a computer and go search out what your neighbors are doing do you have anything invest in this community or you just collect a paycheck of course I've lived in this gym you know do you have anything invested in this community do you do anything with your community other than collect a paycheck you don't do anything do you huh you don't know anything about my mask in here right now and you're not answering it right cuz I'm not gonna answer your question why not you serve the public which you don't seem to care about you don't seem to care about this community or your neighbors you seem to care about a paycheck why don't get out from here are you chatter where are you from originally from originally Arizona so let me ask you this if the public comes to you and I'm not coming to you as a single person clean or not if the kids that people come to you and tell you we have an issue with the way you are running the Planning and Zoning are you gonna do anything about it or you just gonna dig your heels in and say what we're doing is good because I collect a paycheck so I work for the board and in front of people I went to the board and if the board is likely to changed the way the week process and investigate I would be happy to change it so does Dan know that you did this everybody knows the board knows what we do this Dan has publicly stated he'd make you guys do not use real estate websites I don't mind for having valuation done I don't know what he what he knows or not would assume that they would know so don't you think that that's not good that you're not even transparent enough to the people that you operate are you answered your gender and function their consumption because I haven't had the chance to talk with them and understand what he knows my case exam I understand I did absolutely approve it yeah together plan I don't know I'm not making an assumption I'm telling you it's verifiable proof he made a public statement saying that you guys do not use realtor websites at all zero real estate websites Apple to find permitting violations yet you are doing it that that is an issue you don't see that as an issue I don't I mean I understand that your paycheck is important to you but I would think that the way that you operate in this community should matter as well this is me saying I will not comply you will not get rights to my property I'm not letter from the prosecuting attorney's office dear mr. and mrs. Kay Turin the Bonner County Prosecutor's Office recently received a Planning Department complaint summary regarding the above reference property the complaint alleges you or those acting in your behalf constructed a structure honest onset property without obtaining a building location permit as required by B CRC 11 - 101 the Planning Department mailed a letter via certified mail T regarding the violation on May 20th 2019 we can get that one till June a second certified letter was sent on August 19th 2019 since these notifications that matters the matter remains unresolved we would like to assist you in resolving the violation as soon as possible if the matter is not resolved in a timely fashion it could result in criminal charges or a civil lawsuit being filed against you please contact Li Cornelius n to discuss a resolution of this violation I will review this matter on November 4th 2019 to determine if compliance has been completed so guys as of right now it is November 9th seventh eighth ninth it's past the the due date of that last threatening letter and we're not we're not complying with anything we're not going to sign any contracts with the corporation of Bonner County we cannot be forced into contract as you guys know and saw in the my last video dealing with this stuff we went into the office to try and resolve it so their letter of trying to resolve this that's not what it's about you guys saw firsthand I went in there and tried to resolve it I told him I would give them the information that they required but I was not going to give up my property rights and allow them to just have access to my property for over a for a year's duration now the way that contract reads it allows all Bonner County employees or officials access to my property every single person employed by Bonner County would then have access to my property for a year to be able to come on any time well I found that to be unreasonable and I told him I wasn't going to allow that so I was not entering into their contract to allow them free reign onto my property and I don't think there's anything wrong with that I think that I was the reasonable one I think that I'm the one who made the effort to try and work it out they are the ones who said you'll sign this contract and that's it guys keep in mind that this is a building location permit to be able to regulate setbacks which I'm not in violation of and they know that I'm not also they wanted me to sign that permit that says that they have access to it but they also told me that they don't come out and check via that permit it's not in the scope of that permit was the language that they used but they still wanted to have the access to my property so if you're not going to come out to my property to check on something and you're gonna take my word for it that it does not violate any setbacks which it doesn't yet you're still going to demand that I give you access to my property that's not going to happen we're standing up for property rights I'm standing up for my property rights so you can find me you can put me in jail but I still will not give my property rights I will not comply and sign check your box you will not get a year's access to my property it'll have to be forced 100 percent you will have to violate my rights to get it I am not giving them to you so there comes a time when when something strikes a chord with you when you know enough is your enough when you're tired of the push back when you're tired of people repealing your rights slowly and slowly and just stripping you down to just a subject that they can just take from whatever apply any law any rule any code to whenever and never be held accountable for their actions I've hit my line this is it I'm not giving up my rights to anybody so this is me saying I will not comply you will not get rights to my property I'm not giving them to you guys there's rights that we are afforded by our Creator in such a beautiful way that in this country the founding fathers recognized those natural rights bestowed to us given to us and they understood that those rights could not be taken away those rights could be not be given away and over the years bureaucrats and politicians have have slowly tried to take those away and take those away and take those away and over the course of 200 some years we've kind of allowed it but I didn't negotiate my rights away and nobody can negotiate my rights away on my behalf so as a free American I'm standing up for my rights I'm hanging on to my rights given to me by my Creator recognized by my forefathers and you're not getting them I can't make it any clearer than that they're my rights they're not your rights I couldn't give them up if I wanted to they were given to me and they can't be taken away this was the most recent video published by north country off-grid published on November 10th 2019 I'm gonna leave a link to his channel in the description so you can go and check out the numerous videos pertaining to this entire issue step-by-step of course I will also leave the information for Bonner County in the description
