boren and i spotted this traffic stop in rockwall texas so we pulled over to record it it's extremely important to us to be able to record everything from multiple different angles in order to pick up rockwall texas when we pulled up he was pulling the guy out of the car and patting him down now they're standing here talking [Applause] i believe the officer did call for backup as soon as we got the supervisor out here as i move over to the side that hartman threatened me to move to david moves around the front of the stop to move to the other side at this point david has not dealt with officer hartman and doesn't realize how dangerous of a power trip hartman is on he is going to dictate what camera shots we get of this traffic stop and he is willing to use any amount of force to get got goff here calling for the supervisor see this he needs to back off back him off now as you can see at this point they are nowhere near the stop but hartman continues to aggressively approach david pushing him farther and farther away until he finally reaches out to grab his camera back him off back him off [Applause] now all three officers take their attention away from the traffic stop to attack the cameraman guys get off him stay with me as soon as officer goff notices that ian bruce has joined the dog pile he immediately says ian stay with him telling him to go back to his traffic stop but ian doesn't go back to his traffic stop he goes to the other cameraman stay with me don't touch him get off of him get back get off him get your hand off your gun notice after being told to effectively safely i disagree we thought it preposterous that a silent non-interfering onlooker could have distracted the officers from safely completing their traffic stop we concluded that no reasonable police officer could believe that he had arguable probable cause to arrest such an onlooker in this situation for obstruction of governmental operations or for any other purported crime and there's no law that we can't do that well if whenever whenever you constantly force him to divert his attention away from the duties he's performing then like you really don't know what happened before i got here do you realize how many times this has played out in court and been ruled on that a cameraman recording is not is is not a reasonable thing that you can say diverts you from what you're supposed to be doing but whenever whenever you're so close and like he says he feels like you're flanking him but this officer was here remember he was calling the supervisor when his fellow officer attacked a photographer more than a hundred feet away from the traffic stop but really we need to get this guy out of cuffs and we need to get the animal dude he ran after him he chased him and tackled it for having a camera we were talking well if somebody were to trying to attack me i'd run too can we get him dude this is ridiculous he shouldn't be near my body man if somebody wanted
