We recently had a deputy who became uh I think like world famous for uh for rescuing some baby possums. But you did that before it was cool. >> When I worked midnights, I would go and I'd check every every possum. I I check them if they look fresh like because obviously you're you're patrolling the same area, right? So for people that don't know, you know, possums they they're marsupials. They store all their their babies are they they actually crawl they're born and they crawl right into the pouch and they live there and then they connect to the their you know their mother's nipple and they are able to survive for until they come out. >> So people don't know if they get whacked by a car the babies will still survive >> for a time. >> For a time yeah for hours like typically hours or maybe even longer. So I used to check and I actually would stop on midnights especially if it was you know slower or whatever if I saw one that got whacked but not too bad if they were annihilated was one thing but if you could see like you know they got run over and yeah I used to check them and and sometimes find something like that >> that is fantastic.
