on a standard night if a suspect flees or we're looking for someone the dog is out the flight unit is going to be over top they're going to be flying over and they're basically watching us they're taking care of us making sure we're safe whenever we're out tracking it happens pretty much every track somebody will say they'll come out of their house because they will hear the helicopter and they're like are you looking for somebody and my sarcastic side wants to say no just taking the dog for a walk at three o'clock in the morning with the helicopter just of course I'd never say that but um but I'm like yeah go back in your house go back in your house why what's going on what are you looking for a lot of that and that hurts us in the canine world because now the dog is distracted the dog's like whoa what's that over there and so if you hear the helicopter up just understand if you I'll put you this way if it sounds like the helicopter is about to land on your roof that means there's a canine somewhere around your house looking for a suspect and and I know that natural instinct is to find out what's going on you want to find out if nothing else call the sheriff's office and ask the 582 6200 number and say what's going on am I safe is there something I need to work for look for but coming outside doesn't help us at all
