Mike, I believe Mike is here. Do you want me to see if I can call him for you? >> Sure. And what was your name? >> Mary. >> Who are you with, Mary? >> Um, I'm with myself, but I am a candidate for the city council. >> Oh, okay. I don't even work here. I'm literally a guy who walked in the door and sat here with a clipboard. Yeah. Watch. I'll get this guy to sign in. >> Hey, how you doing? >> Good. How are you? >> Good. What's your name? >> I'm Jamie. >> Jamie. Citizens uh doing the citizens uh graduation. >> I got your name down. And what's your uh date of birth? Limited seating. If you don't get your seat, they're going to Is there a restroom? I think >> I think there's a down this hall right here to And if you go down this hall and then hang left. I believe there's a right there. About a year ago, I was tagging along with some friends and colleagues who had some business to conduct. And while I was tagging along with them, I didn't actually have any business of my own. My friend Ron Durban suggested that I carry a clipboard so that I look like I had some type of purpose. I thought that would be a great idea for me to be able to just sit in the background and look like I had some type of purpose for being here. Ron probably already knew what the clipboard effect was and knew what he was doing by telling me to carry it. But I had absolutely no clue that this simple prop would change the way that most people saw me. The next person who walked in the room saw me sitting at the table with a clipboard and assumed out of everyone else in the building, including three state troopers, that I was the one in charge. Hey, how you doing today, sir? >> Good. Good. >> Tourism. >> You're from tourism? >> Yeah. Over here? >> Yeah. Just go ahead and head right on in. >> The door's not open. >> Oh, it's not opening. >> Let me She'll be here in just a minute to let you in. He He doesn't want you here. >> Well, a few weeks ago, I was carrying my clipboard while doing a security investigation inside of a building. As people came into the building, I opened the door for them and said hello. and they just assumed that I was in charge of everything. But the truth is, the only thing that makes authority authority is your belief in it. And since most Americans have been dumbed down to the point where they can't think or act for themselves at all, they're typically looking around the room for someone to tell them what to do. How you doing? >> Fine. >> Good. Good. Welcome. Thank you so much for coming out today. >> I'm sure you notice the signs on the door. No firearms allowed. Gotcha. >> So, Greg, just want to make sure everybody's disarmed. meeting upstairs. Um, where are you? >> I believe it's going to be in here. Might want to Hey, how's everyone doing? >> Good. How are you? >> Great. Welcome out. Welcome. Welcome. >> Hi. Welcome. >> Thank you. >> Hello. >> Hello. How are you? >> Good. Thank you. >> Welcome. Welcome everybody. Limited seating. If you don't get your seat, they're going to >> Is there a restroom I can use? >> I think there's a down this hall right here to And if you go down this hall and then hang left, I believe there's a right there. Like, you know what I mean? >> I I understand that. >> Um, let me see if I can get my boss on the line. Um, but yeah, we'll check all the, uh, entrances and exits. More in regard to the board of adjustment. I sit on that. Oh, the board of adjustment. Okay. Like the chiropractic. Hey, how you doing? >> Good. How are you? >> Good. Oh, no. Yeah. Welcome to the meeting. Uh, just no firearms. We want to make sure that the government is the only one who's armed in here. We need you helpless. >> Thank you, guys. >> Um, if anybody needs help, we'll call the police and they'll wait outside while second graders get slaughtered. Am I right? >> Yeah. you know. >> Hi, how you doing? Uh, just make sure uh there's no firearms on anybody, right? Government's the only ones allowed to be armed in here. So, >> okay. >> All right. How you doing? >> Good. Actually, I was just going to come up and ask you something, >> but you're heading in. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Hey, where's um where's the city manager? >> City manager? >> Yeah, >> he's upstairs all the time. >> Oh, he is. >> See? >> Hide now. >> Is he up there? >> I'm the city manager. >> Oh, okay. I'll get this guy to sign in. >> Hey, how you doing? Good. How are you? >> Good. What's your name? >> I'm Jamie. >> Jamie. >> Citizens. Uh doing the citizens uh graduation. I could I couldn't watch you guys handwatch her as three people and only one of me. So, I let her go with the warning, which is fine for >> Yeah. No, I didn't mean to startle you or bother you or nothing. >> Scared of you guys at all. I just can't watch three people at once without calling more officers here. Just >> Oh, well, we No, we had your back, bro. >> Thank you. >> Yeah, we had your back. >> Yeah, she was very sweet. She wasn't going to hurt me. I was like, "Nobody's going to mess with this cop like me and him." >> I really hate to be the dude that with us. You think, >> bro, nobody's going to mess with you when we're standing behind you.
