A a general theme from an observer of your time and tenure as sheriff is like there just a ton of things that are going on and you're like Hey, this is this may be in my lane. It may be out of my lane like but it's a problem and like I'm interested in fixing it. We're going to fix it because a lot of people like they see a problem and they'll be like >> It's not mine. Somebody else's problem. >> Yeah, well, you you know, and in this position we saw at least I see this position and the role is you don't have that option. I mean you you just have to you know, as they would say take the bull by the horns and and deal with it. Because I think probably early on you know, I came to the realization you know, there's that old adage the buck stops here. Well, with me the buck does stop here. I mean there there is no out basket to send it to figuratively and literally. I remember talking to somebody at one point who was in a command position and we were talking about issues and some things that were deficient. And their response was somebody should fix that. Well, of course my response is look in the mirror cuz that somebody is you. Right. You know, cuz if you don't fix it, who's going to fix it? Right. So, you know, at the end of it and whether it is you know, things solely internal within the sheriff's office, things that are within the law enforcement public safety community in Pinellas County, whether they're you know, interdisciplinary issues you know, I just believe in getting it done.
