Police are rarely held criminally liable for criminal actions such as this. The best that the state will offer you is allowing you to sue the political entity that the officer works for and take some taxpayer dollars. And some people would say that it's unfair to put this burden on the taxpayer. But the reality is the majority of taxpayers adamantly support everything the police do no matter what. A lawyer by the name of Jesse Shoalter, uh, civil rights out of the Phoenix area, filed the case in federal court in Tucson.
