Fourteen. One, two, three. Fifteen. Now, our PT/DT days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and it all starts with the same 13 stretches and exercises that we start every PT/DT session with. And then after we finish our stretches and exercises, it can be dealer's choice from whatever the coach thinks we need to focus on more, whether that be running sprints, push ups, group runs, log carries, anything that they want to inflict upon us that day to help us in our personal physical growth. When we started the academy, we had to wear our shirts inside out. So we had to earn our last names. As of Monday this week, A few of us at the end of the PT/DT, we got to flip our shirts inside out. And now we earned our name. We keep that as long as we continue to keep doing good in PT and DT and not mess up. It felt really good to be able to flip my shirt after that. It just shows the coaches are paying attention and recognize all of our hard work that we're doing. Outstanding. After that, we go into defensive tactics where we'll learn different takedowns and strikes. We usually learn 1 to 2 a day when we start off crawl, walk, run. We'll learn them from the instructor, we'll do them in the air. We'll do them with a partner step by step. And then we'll start going through and doing them with partners at full speed. I just recently got to roll with one of our instructors. It was a very humbling experience. You learn when you're rolling around, it might be easy to just submit someone, but to actually get them onto their stomach and put them in handcuffs is a completely different task, especially when that other person has training. You have to really learn how to use your size and technique against their size. If you focus on the techniques and do them properly, a person of any size can essentially take down a person of any size. I think it's a great experience for all of us to learn from each other. It's a great example of no matter what experience level you have, you can build on that and you can get better at defending yourself. Okay. Got it, bro. Whoa! and take down. Don't lose that grip. And in the. 123617. you're not always going to be able to use your weapon, you might not have backup right there. And you have to be able to hold off and protect yourself and others the best way you can. And the best way you can do that is jiu jitsu. In the state. Over here. Smooth right knee down on the back. Right down on the back. You're gonna load and safely charge that weapon and workspace here. Very good. And one round on target. Good job. after we're done with that, we start the DBT portion of our day, which is defensive tactics, which is where we work with the coaches and train mainly striking, blocking, jujitsu, wrestling, all the all the really the defensive tactics that we might have to employ while we're out on the streets to do our job and also keep ourselves safe.
