I've worked with Dana for the last almost 20 years I have been a co-worker of Dana's and a member along with her on the major case team Dana is an amazing asset to our section and not only to our section but to the major case team as well she's very good at what she does you know she's been doing this for 18 plus years so she has the knowledge the skill she's somebody that not only knew people kind of gravitate to and and look to but even us who have been there for a little bit longer we kind of tend to lean on her so the call in that Dana is receiving her award for is a homicide investigation and it was a total whodunit 2700 square foot house we had to do full trace evidence collection on it powder processing every nook and cranny of this residence was photographed and had powder on it when we collect casings it's not very common to find a DNA profile on them it's it's a very unlikely thing Dana was able to extract DNA from the shell casings and that resulted in a profile that led detectives to a suspect once I received the email that she was the recipient of the award I was ecstatic I couldn't be more proud of her and I know she's proud too Dana is just a great person you know she's got a great personality no matter what life throws at Dana either personally or through work she's an overcomer she is willing to take the shirt off her back for someone else if they need help with anything she's there we can call her at any time and she's willing to come in and do whatever we need to get the job done honestly I don't think she has like a bad bone in her body you know she's she's a great friend and a great co-worker foreign [Music]
