On December 20th, 2024, officers from the West Palm Beach Police Department were dispatched after a call of a man taking an inappropriate video of a store employee. What were you doing when >> I was folding long-sleeve shirts in women's. >> All right. Folding shirts in women's. And then what happened? >> I noticed he wanted to walk by me, but instead of excusing me, when I looked up, he walked by and he just stayed on the side of me. >> On which side of you? >> On the left. Like, he was on the left looking at the same shirts I was folding. The wall that I'm folding is really long. >> So, he was standing right next to you? >> On the left, yes. >> Okay. About how far away? >> 2 inches and an inch. >> Okay. So, he was standing >> but like us kind of maybe a little further. >> Okay. All right. So, he was >> of me, and then I went back to folding and he crossed again, and when he crossed, he didn't touch me, but you know, like when you feel somebody walking really close by, so he walked by, and that's when I noticed he was recording. And I said it on my walkie to everybody, and then police went and started yelling to him because she seen him. >> All right. What was the male wearing? >> A blue long-sleeve shirt with a hoodie, black shorts, and I believe Under Armour shoes, gray and orange shoes, whatever brand they were. >> Orange and what shoes? Um So, you when you turned around the second time and you saw him walking by you, where did he go after? >> right to the register, right to the line. >> He went to the line and >> And when he went to the line >> He had his phone like Can you How he did his phone? Um And then that's when you told your coworker. >> when when he walked by and I seen it, I was like, "Um why do I think this guy just recorded underneath my skirt?" And then that's when Khalise ran to the line when he was and she seen him replaying the video and she was like, "Absolutely not. Call the cops." And we called the cops. >> Okay. Um Have you ever seen this man before? Okay. Did you After she ran up to him, did he leave? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And that was your only interactions with him. How long would you believe he was inside the store? >> I don't know if he was in the men's section before he came to men's, but of me seeing him since >> It was just that like short brief interaction. You would say that whole interaction was 10 minutes? So, how long did he spend So, when he walked by you in the first place >> know if he was in men's at all. >> No, no, I understand. So, when he first walked by you, you said he walked by you twice. When he first walked by you and then he stood >> And he walked behind me and looked to the left of me and he was just standing there for like 2 3 minutes looking at the women's shirts. >> like 2 3 minutes. Women's shirts? >> Women's long sleeves, the ones I was holding, which is why I was already confused why he's there. >> Okay. >> And he didn't have a wife and then he walked by against me again, but this time behind. The first time I moved out of his way. It's so mixed up. >> Okay. >> There we go. Yeah, I'm leaving some stuff out. Sorry. Then he walks by me again, and he said, "Excuse me." And I moved, and that's when he had the phone like this underneath my skirt walking away, and I started freaking out. I was like, "Oh my god, I think he >> Because where was his face looking when he walked by you the second time and you saw it? So, what what hand was his phone in? The left hand? >> Yeah. >> It was in his left hand. >> Yeah. Okay. >> And that was the side that was closest to you, right? Okay. >> It's like I was standing like this, and he was walking away like this. >> Okay. >> I was standing facing this way. >> Okay. All right. You can put your hand down. All right. We'll go from the start of this incident. What how did you become involved? >> Um cuz I was the manager on duty of that hour from 6:00 5:00 to 6:00, 6:00 to 7:00. And I was doing my figure eights around the store just to make sure everyone's good. Um I noticed the guy walk by her two times, but he was just shopping. She was just holding. Didn't think anything of it. Went up to the cash register, and I heard her say, "I think this guy just took a video of my skirt." Because I saw like the camera open or whatever, and his phone was down. >> You were standing right next to him when that happened? >> Well, when she told me? >> When it went over the radio. Where were you standing? >> register. >> So, and was that far away from him, or was that with him? >> in the line. >> Okay, so you weren't like directly with him, but you you looked up and you saw him. Okay. And then what happened? >> I went around the cash register, and I went up to her, and I said, "Who are you talking about?" And she pointed, and she said, "The guy in the blue shirt at the line." So, I walked up, and there was like pieces of crackers on the box or thing, so I pretended to clean it off, and I looked over at his phone, and I saw her butt. But I waited like a couple seconds to make sure that it was hers before I said anything, and then I was like, "He has the video on his phone. Call the cops on him right now." >> Okay. Dude, what identifying features on the phone did you see that belong? >> skirt. I saw the ruffles and I saw >> Is she the only one in the store right now? >> With that skirt with the ruffles, yes. And I could see the shorts that are under the long sleeves that she was folding. So, I know exactly what wall she was at. >> Okay. Okay. Um And then what happened after you looked over and you saw it on his phone? Did you make eye contact eye contact with him or >> I just screamed, "Ari, he has the video on his phone. Call the cops right now." He looked up at me. I looked up at him. He walked around the cash register, like around the boxer area to the front of the cash register. He could have been deleting the video. He was playing with his phone and then he walked up to my boss, threw all his clothes at her and walked out. >> Okay. Um So, there was a brief second where he was on playing on his phone afterwards. So, he could have deleted it. Okay. Um And then what happened after he left? >> He threw the stuff out and I yelled at my boss and I said, "Go take a picture of him right now." While I was on the phone with security. >> Okay. Did she ever do it though? >> Yeah. >> She ran out and got >> She dropped all the clothes that he gave her and she ran out of the door and took a picture. >> Okay. All right.
