of them over there who was driving bud uh the young lady that's in the driver are in the driver's seat currently all right so we have a female outstanding what was she wearing do you know she was wearing a hoodie and jeans it looked we have a white female possibly a hoodie and jeans that has gone missing from the scene she was in the vehicle as well yeah what it's a white female that we're happened to be honest I don't know we just came around the corner and next thing you know I was looking down at my phone was she moving was she flying I'm assuming there's a white female driving oh you're always how fast do you think y'all were going through okay do you know the people that were in the car with you uh deventorian um Chandler Devin Corey and Chandler okay how do you know them through uh football you play for the university is Devin who's the other player please I think the white metal that's on the ground it's a white male or I mean black man all right do me a favor sit thing were telling me they got a phone call from you telling them the wreck happened how did you know about the wreck I heard it I came down heard it from where Bud where were you at I was close to where them players was down at Icon okay you heard this wreck from that far down the road yeah I was coming I was actually behind them because how far behind them were you I was like rough guess put it in yards for me could you see the tail lights on their car okay so you are I'm guessing following them to Waffle House so they're ahead of you okay rough guess how far ahead do you think 100 yards 200 yards 50 yards let's try this see the patrol car with the just the parking lamps on and the little blue lights that are staying still were you that far behind them or farther than that oh yeah okay so you're you're close enough to them to at least see the tail lights of the car okay how fast were y'all going what were you driving what kind of car is it buddy okay one of the Jeep trucks or just a Jeep Jeep okay so you're following them to Waffle House you're behind them pretty close to them you're not too far behind them so you see them go through this this pops you go underneath it before this falls down and you come to a stop on the other side of it did you call 9-1-1 after you called your teammates okay so somebody that lives in the complex did dinosaurs all right so the next question I'm going to ask you I need you to be honest with me okay were you guys racing to Waffle House because I can tell you right now from look at the damage that car they were moving yeah they were strong okay what makes you say that okay I've seen them downtown but I wouldn't say like I was with them I was just walking it was a couple of you know yes sir that's it you know who was driving that one I think it was one of the girls okay how do you know the girls what do they do part of football or anybody part of football okay what do they do for the team oh okay I just figured you knew right okay so everybody's downtown having a good time after the parade today and all that stuff and you're I mean you're you're fairly close to them headed but they're they're pulling away from you because they're going faster than you right she was super fast hello hey Miss Carter hey um so it's just gonna be a quick interview um it'll be over the Collision that occurred on uh on the 15th of January all right so I just want to begin by all right so you were at the UGA parade that day earlier that date all right so you didn't go to the parade all right I guess we'll start our time period with so were you downtown that night you get there okay where all did you go downtown okay yeah yeah at the apartment everybody wants to come up okay all right who um who's in Toppers with you couldn't use a lot of football player okay um do you remember anybody in specific being there with you created in equal for you okay all right um so then so y'all are at Toppers and then what's the uh what's the plan from toppers uh I actually love poverty uh at two o'clock I'll be closed by myself and I was heading towards my uh and start me to take uh willing them caught up to me and asked what I like to go and I agree and after that we got in the car we went to Walmart all right so then y'all begin um going down Barnett Shoals um and then can you tell me a little bit about that yeah we made that turn out that light you know you know while I was driving I was in the left lane she was in the right and that's when the uh we started driving a little bit and the turn came up and then that's when I slowed down because it was pretty dark on that road I couldn't see if it was actually a turn so I slowed down to be safe and then that's when I seen her cartoon as my car she's very off the road okay so prior so when y'all turn off of Lexington Road onto Barnett Shoals Road you end up in the left lane she's up in the she ends up in the right lane yes sir okay all right how long did y'all travel like that uh I can't tell for life she wasn't like next to me the whole time it was like in a different business okay so then for a period of time yellow riding beside each other and then you slow down because you know the curve is coming up and then she passes you yeah I slowed down because it's like a hill like you know how it goes down and that road is pretty dark so I slow down if you say because um when y'all are traveling when y'all are traveling on Barnett Shoals Road during that period of time could you did you feel like you were going fast was it slower than normal how was that was the speech after that one of the average speed okay all right so then she comes she goes in front of you and then what happens after that or we get closer to turn it's where it's like a little and while we're on other s that's when they're dark and I couldn't really tell it was a turn so I slowed down and I looked behind to see what she was and that's when I was when I can hear his own past yeah uh then the current came and then she feared off the road and that's what happened all right so Shivers off the road and then what do you what do you see after that yeah while I was going down I had took my foot off the gas in the crate and I was just car Road and when I seen she hit the pole the polls started coming down and one and my heart's rolling rolling uh the lines hit my car so I just drove through it because it was parking at the top so I just got through and make sure I was safe and then I parked a little bit down you know I got out of the car to go check and checks and even try to see if anybody else okay um so when you're so you see her Veer off the road and then you're able to see where she strikes that first power pole yes sir okay and then you're driving you see the power pole gets knocked down and then essentially what you're saying is is you're still traveling in that left lane so the power lines come down yes sir okay and then you drive through that and then you kind of just all right so cars rolling uh you get into that Middle Lane and then you stop what do you what do you see what what's going on uh I've got it in the car to go check out the accident try to see if anybody was okay and then another car came down the road a random car we don't know who it was just regular person probably going home and they actually didn't see the pole and they ran through the pole and then okay did you um did you make any phone calls while that was going on oh yeah I was the one who called the other yeah just to come back up to be there okay all right who who all did you call while you was on scene okay all right all right um so then you're making the phone calls and then are you able to see anything see anybody while you're still on scene when I was yelling out okay what was he saying yeah he said he's okay uh he was like where's uh Devin he couldn't feed Devin and I couldn't see anything but like the smoke in the car and all that because all the lights and lost okay all right um do you have anything that I haven't asked you do you think that would be uh relative and provide anything more detailed in this investigation that I didn't ask you okay is there anything that I didn't ask you that you think would be something worth of worth noting in this okay all right um well yeah so that's Carter that's pretty much all I have do you have of the issues that I alluded to in mid-January right after Georgia had celebrated its National Championship he was present at the scene the crash it killed a couple of people he left the combine to turn himself in ended up pleading no contest to those misdemeanor charges that I referred to that later showed up a little bit heavier he's a big man anyway but a little bit heavier for the pro day
