today I am in Birmingham Alabama if I can find it there it is right there Alabama there behind me 18 years ago Natalie Holloway was killed in Aruba she was on a class trip she was from here near Birmingham in Mountain Brook I have told that whole story I will link it up here if you want to go back and watch it but today we are here in Birmingham because the person who 99 of the world believes killed her was ex was brought here to the United States for a trial concerning all of this but he's not actually on trial for her murder but it is concerning all of this and I came here to Birmingham to see what was happening or around the streets and what all was going on and to see what happened during the hearing today so today I'm here in Birmingham this video is going to be a little bit different than normal but we're still going to have fun today is going to be more like a a vlog or something like that we're still talking about True Crime but it's not like one of the normal stories that I deep dived into it's not going to be one of those if that's the ones you'd like to watch or you're just you like watching the body cams I put this in between then you know you can skip past this one and you can come back for the next one a little while back I uh made the video on Natalie Holloway it was a Story national news all over the place everywhere well the guy that they suspect killed her is here in Birmingham today on trial for taking money from Natalie Holloway's mom as you all know by now I typically tell stories after the fact I'm not one who does the breaking news type thing but I was coming near Birmingham today anyways for uh different story so I figured I would take some time out this morning and come here and you can see there's a lot of activity going on down here every news media agency in the country is here filming this this is a big time news this whole the whole Jordan Vander slew Natalie Holloway thing has been a major news topic for 18 years on and off every time something happened these doors right here is how they bring Jordan in and out in fact they just brought him into the building a minute ago and they will take him out the same way back to the jail that he's being housed in right now it appears as if I'm a little bit early there's still a lot going on there's media all out here in front I just thought I would kind of walk around and see what was happening who all was here like what news agencies and figure out what was going on there is Major news networks posted up on every corner of this intersection just sitting here waiting to find out what happens this guy's live now as I said in the intro to this video today I'm in Birmingham and uh we're talking about Natalie Holloway like I said 18 years ago she was a murderer in Aruba and everyone believes that Jordan vandersloot it was in a Reuben native at the time everyone believes that he killed her and it's a long story you have to go watch the video that I made on the topic to get all the details on it because it's a very long story there's a lot of twists and turns a lot of things going on in it at any rate during that whole process during told Beth Holloway Natalie Holloway's mom if she paid him he would tell her where Natalie's body was well she paid him and then he told them a lie so he didn't tell where she actually was so now joran faces charges for extortion here in Birmingham now Jordan he was in a prison down in Peru and the United States and Peru have a treaty with each other so Peru said that they would send him here to the United States but not until he finished serving his sentence in Peru for murder where he killed a woman named Stephanie Flores after the whole Natalie Halloween thing five years to the day actually it's all in the video I made on the topic so he's on trial for murder they say no you know he can't come there until he finished his servant his sin is for murder well the you know district attorney and the officials the FBI here in America are like hey we need to start moving this trial along because the people all the people who were involved in all of this they're getting older and you know who knows it if they're going to be alive in 15 years when he finished the serving that murder sentence so finally Aruba agreed just last week they didn't about faith on that and said yes we will extradite him to the United States so he can go to trial for this extortion of Beth Holloway and then you can bring him back to finish serving his sentence there well on Wednesday the FBI landed in Peru in a private jet they spent the night in Peru and then Thursday Thursday afternoon the FBI and the Peru government loaded Jordan into said private jet they took off Thursday afternoon from Peru and it's like a six and a half hour flight they touched down here in Birmingham and Alabama they immediately took Jordan to a County Jail here or right in Birmingham and he spent the night and now today he's gonna have his arraignment where he can plead guilty or not guilty to his extortion charges of Beth Holloway the Alabama there and the folk in there in the distance Jordan vandersloots here in is just so like everyone all of a sudden all at one time shifted their positions from all around to like all in one spot here it was crazy well as you can see the time is now 11 A.M Central Standard Time here in Alabama and that means Jordan Vander salute is or should be in the courtroom standing in front of a judge right now for his arraignment here at the United States courthouse the Federal Courthouse in Birmingham Beth Holloway has waited 18 years to have Jordan vandersloot in America in the United States in Alabama in a courthouse he's getting our wish right now they've all started interviewing someone over there I don't recognize who it is I actually didn't know this at the time but as you can see Fox 6 was doing an interview with Greta Van Sutton and you can see me walking in the background there and in fact I wasn't filming anything in particular at that point but I was filming at that exact moment excuse me sorry everyone's filming these people for some reason these must be the lawyers oh it's Beth this is Natalie Holloway's mom and she's just a really great person after all of this happened with Natalie Beth got heavily involved when other situations would occur especially here in Alabama there were a number of cases where girls come up missing and Beth was heavily involved in searching for them Anaya Blanchard is like the the top one that comes to mind that happened between Montgomery and Auburn I did tell that story also and Beth Holloway was a very very involved in searching and trying to help find these missing girls just a great person and she's waited a long time to have Jordan here in the United States in front of a judge so even though the whole thing was documented where you know Jordan said he would till Beth Holloway where Natalie's remains were the whole thing drawing just now inside of the courthouse here pled not guilty to extortion and I think wire fraud so he has pled not guilty and I think that's pretty much it for here in front of the courthouse he will go back to the county jail I think they are keeping him in the Hoover jail so he will leave from here and head back to the Hoover jail where he will sit for some time A lot of people are invested in this case and a lot of people believe that the judge here knowing that he's not going to be charged with Natalie's murder that this judge is going to throw the book at him for this wire fraud and extortion charges so it's as if he were being sentenced for Natalie's murder so we'll we'll just have to keep watching and see how it plays out I traveled from downtown and I am now at the Hoover city jail and this is where Jordan Vander salute is going to be hailed during his trial right here in the Hoover City Jail which in fact he's probably already here now uh he's carried back and forth with Hoover Police Birmingham police uh uh FBI agents The Works he's getting the max treatment carrying him because he is a he's the definition of a Flight Risk he's got like 15 more years to go on a murder sentence in Peru and then if he's found guilty for this he'll be extradited back here to serve time for this uh that's the very definition of a Flight Risk so he there he won't go anywhere without a presidential escort seemingly that is going to do it for this episode today I just thought you know since we covered this topic it would be pretty cool to watch the the uh
