Rather than providing his identity, he insists he has done nothing wrong and prepares to walk away. Despite being told he is not free to leave. >> I've told you once before. >> Step over here. >> Actually, many times. >> Don't tell me what to do. >> Step over here. >> No. >> All right. >> Now, listen. Even while being handcuffed, the man continues making unusual claims about his background and authority. >> I'll know everything about you by the end of the day. No probable cause to arrest me. You have no right to put handcuffs on me. No reason to put me in cuffs. >> I sure do. >> You're going to have to put your gloves on. >> What are you going to do in a world of checkups? So, I wanted to identify the guy. You know, we've been having some calls with him and some other things. I wanted to see about getting Publix their cart back, but he decided to take it another way. He darn near considered committed assault. He stepped towards me. >> Ridiculous. I saw it from over here. >> Oh, you did see him step up and okay. >> turned my lights on. >> Now he did this when I pulled my taser cuz I taser displayed first to make sure you know, mainly for Carlos' safety since Carlo uh you know, trying to not get Carlo to have to jump in, you know. >> I think he actually did very That's how I I was over here. >> I'm going to go back and watch my body camera. He still walked towards me. >> As the investigation continues, officers review the incident and discuss whether additional charges are appropriate. They conclude that the suspect's actions during the encounter may warrant more than just the original offense. >> How's it going, partner? My name is Sergeant Cooper. I'm the shift supervisor. Are you okay? Do you need any medical attention? Are you going to answer any questions? I just want to make sure that you're all right.
