On July 20th, 2024, officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic battery that occurred on the water. >> Um, just real quick, I know you kind of told him and you told city what was going on. Just give me the cliff notes version. >> Uh, we went to land together, uh, with friend. I text him for like hours saying I'm going back. I screenshotted everything, sent it to my brother. >> Yep. >> He said he wanted to stay out. And then at like 4:00 a.m. he kept texting me for a ride and I just told my brother I'm not responding. There's nothing good that could come out of this. >> Okay. >> And then I don't know who we got a ride from. If I saw the thing, I would know it. But it's like 6:00 a.m. They showed up. And when I heard him come on the boat, I begged that person to please not let him on. And that's when he came in. He opened the hatch in my room. >> Okay. >> Cuz most of them have the little locks. But ours doesn't really work. >> Okay. I'm listening. I'm just trying to fix this. Yeah. >> And by [ __ ] going bad, he's drunk, belligerent, yelling, screaming. I take it. >> I don't know what he was. Like he said, I've never seen him like that in my life. >> At what point did it become physical or violent? >> Right away. >> Last time I went out on the boat with him, it was a tropical storm. >> Yes, it was not good. Um, >> what injuries do you have from him? >> Honestly, just that. It's not even that bad. But he did take a knife out and >> like what kind of what kind of knife are we talking about? >> A serrated knife. I don't know. >> Like a like a kitchen knife or like a steak knife? Something like that. Okay. >> So, he pulls out a the serrated knife or a kitchen knife. What's he saying? How's he acting? What's he doing? >> He's coming up to his throat and then threatening me and we're just both crying on the floor and I'm begging him to stop and then >> threat threatening you. How? >> Uh well, he said he he said, "Is it over for me?" I just like them to saw it and then they wouldn't. And then that's when I got stabbed. And then that's when I grabbed my dog and jumped out of the hatch again, took the dingy butt naked and went to land. >> Okay. >> He let me leave. >> Okay. So, you're arguing on the boat. He is your boyfriend >> or husband or what is he? >> Boyfriend. >> Boyfriend. >> And you both own the boat together? >> My father and I own majority of it and he owns a third. >> But his name is on it. >> Yes. >> Okay. And you all normally both live out there or stay out on the boat together, I'm assuming. >> What was the initial argument over? >> Uh cuz I didn't pick him up. >> So he's mad that you didn't pick him up on Duval Street, he had to hit basically get get a ride back and then once he gets back um >> I had everything locked. >> Okay. So how did he get back on? Did he he had to like break it open to get on? >> Uh the hatch in the room. >> Okay. Where's he grabbed the knife from? >> The kitchen. >> The kitchen. And then he comes back into the room or did he have it with him when he started? >> Okay. And he's saying, "Is it over?" Meaning, are you guys over? Is the business over? Is >> this going to ruin his life? >> Okay. And when he has the knife, what is he doing with it? How how do you get How do you get cut? >> Um, like I said, he sat down and put it on his neck and I just begged him to not. >> Then I grabbed it and then he put it on me. And then >> Put it on you. How? What do you mean? Like what? Like was he holding it to you? Was he threatening you with Not at me, but like flat. >> Like flat. >> Yeah. Flat. >> And is he saying anything or doing anything when he when he has the knife? >> I don't know. Honestly, I don't remember. It just kind of >> Okay. >> And you get the cut on your hand. How? >> Um, >> did he actually try to cut you? Did you try to grab the knife from him? Were you tried to grab it? Um, and then that's when he held me up and that's when I grabbed my dog and jumped out of the top of the hatch. >> So, yes, he did look it at me. Huh? >> Yes, he did point it at me. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Like I said, this is not him. >> You have a phone? >> I was recording everything. >> He threw it in the ocean cuz you were recording it? >> Yep. >> Did you try to call the cops when all this was happening? >> No, I called my dad. >> Okay, sounds good. Give us a few and we will um let you know. Yep. >> Step out slowly. Hands. >> Let me see your hands. Hands. >> Perfect. Thank you, sir. What I need you to do is put your hands on the back of the boat right here. You do what I ask you to do. Thank you for working with me. If you don't mind sitting right here on the back, that's perfect. >> I can lower this firearm. Thank you, sir. >> Thank you. >> Sit down. >> Yep. Go ahead. Sit down. >> You got an eyes or anything on you? No, sir. >> Thank you. Is >> everybody else on the boat? >> Just you or that's it? >> On the boat. >> What's going on with you and your uh you and your girl? >> Where do we begin? >> Um can you ask a more direct question? What happened this morning or? Yeah. Since you got since you got home from Duvall Street. >> I came back to the boat. >> Uh, she wouldn't let me in. >> Okay. >> I opened up the hatch, got in. >> Um, >> hey Bob, I'm going to clear your boat real quick. Make sure nobody's in that could be harmed or something. >> I'll watch. I'll hang. >> Awesome. Thank you, brother. >> Anybody here? >> Yeah. I want to go. I went in. >> And uh >> Did you guys have an argument? >> Yeah. We >> How How' you How did you get back into the boat? >> I opened up a hatch and went >> Okay. And you live on the boat? The boat's under your name. Did you come back here and it's in her name or something? >> Our names. Yep. For about the next 4 days until I buy her out and then it's not in the middle of a very messy breakup. >> Say that again, sir. No, he's just asking if there's anyone else on the boat. He's just doing his usual um their commands in case anyone's else on there. Make sure no one no one jumps out. Okay. Um at any point during the incident this morning, you guys get physical with each other or is it just you guys yelling at one another? >> Did we get physical with the boat? Yes. >> No, physical with with each other, hitting each other, smacking each other, punching each other. >> We definitely pushed each other back and forth. >> Okay. You both were pushing each other back and forth car in. Okay. >> Well, it's hard to say because in the process of me climbing through the hatch. >> Mhm. >> Pushing. We push our way through. >> Was she trying to keep you out of the hatch? >> What's that? >> Was she like trying to hold it down or keep? >> She was trying to hold the hatch down. >> Hold the hatch and keep you from getting inside? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> You hurt, injured, anything like that? >> Any paramedics? Nothing like that? >> Okay. Just got to ask. >> Not that type of stroke. >> Okay. Um, did you make any comments to her about wanting to hurt yourself or hurt her? >> Okay. >> I wanted to go to bed. >> You just wanted to go to bed. >> And I'm guessing a lot of this is so you were all you do until >> you were probably both out on Duvall Street. She decided to go home. You stayed out a little longer >> and I came over wine right there. >> I don't know. I don't know. I didn't say whether she was or wasn't drinking. At any point during the altercation or at any point during you guys arguing and and having this whole disagreement, um, did she grab a knife? Did you grab a knife? Did anyone have did anyone grab the gun? Anything like that? >> I don't remember any weapons. Sorry. No. >> Okay. >> Patches and me trying to go to bed. >> Okay. >> And that's where you found me. >> You were just trying to go to sleep pretty much. Were you Were you trying to make yourself dinner or cook or do anything like that? >> Cook anything. Not trying to I don't I don't even honestly I can't even tell you where our gun's at right now to be honest. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> How did she get off the boat? >> You know, I couldn't tell you. >> Do you guys have a dingy or >> She has There's a dinghy that was >> was here. >> Yeah. >> Not like a paddle board or anything like that. She didn't paddle into shore. >> Okay. >> Is she okay? >> Yeah. No, she called us. She was meeting with us over there at shore earlier. Yeah. >> Um, and I guess >> I mean, we have a pile of boards, but I'm assuming if the dinghy is not here, she took the dinghy. >> Okay. What's with all the blood on the bed? >> What's that? >> All the blood on the bed and floor and the hatch over there. >> I don't know, sir. >> Okay. All right. You sleep in a separate one cuz what like three or four state rooms on there? >> We've been separated since April. Uh her father flew in to take her out of the Bahamas. >> Okay. >> In April because of issues like we had last night. And uh when it's a good day, we sleep together. When it's a bad day, we sleep apart. Based on everything, >> obviously you seem like a fairly intelligent individual, but you are being placed under arrest for domestic violence. At this point, please stand up for me. Come on up here. Just keep being cooperative like you have been, and that's fine with me. I'm going to treat you the exact same way.
