While an officer was driving on patrol, he noticed a vehicle that was suspected to have been stolen. The officer immediately followed the suspected stolen van and tracked it to a gas station near a McDonald's where he approached the driver and began questioning him. >> Hey sir. >> Can I ask you something real quick? >> Driving a U-Haul? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, can you talk to me real quick over here? >> Of course. >> All right, we're going to go over here for a minute. >> What did I do? >> Huh? >> I said what did I do? >> All right. Face right here. All right. Right now you're being detained, okay? This is a This is reported stolen. >> Why? It's my van. >> You're under arrest and you're being detained, okay? >> While the officer was reporting the situation over the radio, the suspect noticed the firearm on the officer's belt. This type of holster requires three separate steps to release the firearm, meaning the suspect was unable to remove the weapon despite repeated attempts. >> Sir, you're not going to jail right now, all right?
