Okay, this is an interesting one. This happened on November 28th of 2025 in Pensacola, Florida, where Pensacola police rolled up on this event where Officer William Roper arrested the gentleman who was running this event. They were feeding food to the homeless. Now, the the gentleman who was arrested claims that they do this all the time and this is selective enforcement by the officer. The officer was going to let him get off with a warning. Well, let's just play it and let you watch for yourselves. >> Hey, are Yeah, are you the host of the event? >> Uh-huh. >> Okay. Um so, what exactly is all this? If you If you don't mind me asking. Like, what event is this? >> Oh, this is for the homeless. >> Okay, got you. Um so, the only concern that I have is that it's being held after sunset. >> Um we're not the ones that are running >> We're not the ones that run the the run the event and >> I can go get the person who >> I was about to say, yeah, if we can do that real quick. Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> And God, it's just been going on for a year and a half. >> I got you. I know I'm about to say I don't know if it's always here right at 6:00. I don't know if that's always the thing. Uh okay, I'm aware of it. Yeah. I'm aware of them. Uh No, I appreciate it though. >> You want to eat? We got like a lot >> This is where your area is. >> Hey, yeah, no, I know I know them. Um you want to come over here so they can keep doing their business? I'm not going to kick you out tonight. I'm not like that. Um I I'm sure you would disagree with what I just said, but >> Well, I'm Native American. >> Yeah, yeah. >> Uh I would I would like to believe you're not going to say one thing and do another. >> Yeah, exactly. No, I'm not kicking you out tonight. I'm not going to be that rude. You guys already have everything set up. I'm not like that. Um future reference, my only concern is that City Park closes at dark and I don't want it to If you guys are going to do it, I don't know if you can do it a little bit earlier. I know with it getting dark so early, it's stupid. Um or if you can see about contacting the city and getting like a permit that way you have it for let's say 5 to 7 or something like that. That way it can be worked with. That way you know, cuz technically what's going on right now is everyone in here is committing a misdemeanor cuz they're in the park after hours. Am I going to go writing everybody a violation of that? No, I'm not going to do that. But Huh? Yeah, exactly. But I don't want it to start progressing to where people start complaining or whoever does anything and then it starts becoming a hassle. I want to make sure you're following the proper channels so that way it's like, "Hey, we're here legally. We're good." It's kind of like how Pal Fox Market can be here legally. Oh, you don't. That's not how that works. Um so um but that way I'm I'm just going to document as I told you as that I've talked to you just, you know, um but I you got to figure out not in the park or you got to figure out oh, I got to get a proper permit or you need to do it earlier than uh at sunset. So, if you can work on that, I'm going to leave you alone tonight. But try to work on that for me. Do you guys do it every Friday? All right, every set Fourth Friday, got you. Got you. Okay. Since 2011. Okay, I got you. Um On what? You're you're causing a problem where there hasn't been a problem. Well, I mean it's still an issue cuz it's still a city ordinance violation. Right. And law enforcement officers have the right to not enforce a misdemeanor. Correct. It's called discretion. You're telling to use your discretion. But tonight, correct. I mean not tonight. Yeah. In the future you are going to choose to use that discretion against us. I'm not using discretion against you cuz discretion isn't something you use against. It's it's it's just discretion is only used by my own opinion. It's not harming. It's you're just still committing a misdemeanor. That's what you're currently doing. Uh no. Uh so I I have Okay, Roger that. Uh let me go and get you ready though. I I mean we can ahead and I'm at least I'm documenting this. >> So so >> So I cuz >> in solidarity >> If you refuse to identify yourself >> Yeah, you're going to arrest me like you did my friend Pete. >> All right and I will. >> And and he is still currently in and >> Getting the help apparently he needed. >> No, he is not man cuz >> Have you talked to him? >> That scratch on your wrist >> Have you talked to him? >> That scratch on your wrist is not a battery on a police officer. >> And if that's what you agree with >> No no I mean it's there has to be malicious intent. >> The intent The intent to touch or strike there's >> He yeah and he had no malicious >> he didn't intend I'm not going to argue with this about this. >> Like we've watched the body cam video. >> There's that does >> So so man like >> That's in not intending to hurt isn't what it Can you Can you Can you mind your >> You need to leave. >> You need to leave. >> No sir. No sir I do not. >> go ahead and give me your ID or else I'm going to go ahead and place you under arrest. I'll let everybody else stay for the night but you're refusing to identify yourself. So you're taking this a step above. >> I don't remember I don't remember your name. I recognize you is what I said. I don't know your name. I I'm bad with names. I recognize your face. I know you because I remember the downtown City Hall. I've dealt with you before. You're also the dude who went and did the the locks on the the things. I could but I'm going to find out from you. >> Okay because you want to press an issue. >> No because I >> No you do want to press an issue. >> Cuz why do I have to go do our Teresa No no no so >> You don't mean but you did you want to press an issue. >> You could tell me your name instead of handing me your ID. I'm cool with that but we're not going to do that or I'm going to take you to jail cuz you're refusing to identify yourself. And I'm not playing this game. >> I haven't refused to do anything. >> So are you going to give me your name? You going to give me your name? >> But you know who I am. >> I don't know. >> It's you did you already say that you know who I am. >> So just cuz So because I know I recognize you but again I'm not playing this game. Are you going to tell you Tell me your name. >> I mean you're coming down here like you were coming down here trying to start something where there isn't anything. >> is the last time I'm going to say it. What's your name? >> So so you're you're going to arrest me. >> You're refusing to identify yourself so go ahead. Put your hands behind your back behind your back. >> No, no, he's not. He says I'm refusing to identify myself even though he said he knew who I was. >> I didn't recognize you. I don't know your name. Do you know my name? >> Yes, I do. >> What is it? >> Um, it is >> Exactly. >> It Yeah. >> So, she remembers my name, not you. Roger that, see? But you knew who I was, you recognized me. >> Okay. >> So, >> You answered faster than I did. Obviously, I don't know who you are. I'm getting arrested. >> No. >> Um, would you would you like to take the keys so you can at least get >> the park. >> Hold on, real quick. Before you take any I'm just going to search him and then you I'll give you the keys. >> What are you What are you arresting for? >> said Back up for refusal to identify. >> I refuse to identify. >> We all do. >> That's fine. I I already said I'd be nice to everybody else. I asked this gentleman's name so I could document it because I asked to document that. Back up here. We're going to walk over there. We'll walk over there. We can walk over there with you. We'll walk over there. Let's go. You can stay right here. He's 25 ft. >> 25 ft. >> It's 10:15. I'll have his 14 in a little while. Roper, r o p e r. >> It's the same person that arrested Keith. >> We've heard of you before. >> Yep, I'm glad. Okay, I want to talk about this for a second. So, these two people, these are the first people who spoke to the officer. She was like, "Yeah, I'm man I'm managing the event." And then the cop was like, "Are you managing the event?" They're like, "Oh, no, that's not us." I think they thought that they were going to get arrested or get a ticket or something. So, they were quick to throw their buddy under the bus. Now, I think their buddy, the one who ended up getting arrested, he kind of played this wrong. He could have just been like, "Oh, no, no, this is just an event that's going on. I'm here. I just I you know, I passed the email around. I spread the word, but I don't know anything. I don't know who runs this event." Could have played dumb. Could have got away with it. But now he's going to go to jail for the night over this. And guys, I don't know. Let me know what you guys think of this. I just I don't I don't know. I don't like the way that he handled himself. At the same time, the cop didn't need to be harassing him. He could have just said, "Okay, if I see you here next week, you're under arrest or you're getting a ticket." It would more likely have been a ticket, not an arrest. And they would have just broken it up. But I mean, come on, guys. You're feeding food to the homeless. What the hell, man? There could be a lot worse things going on. And I get it. You got a bunch of homeless people congregating in the park after dark. But they're not out there doing drugs. They're eating. They're getting a meal. They're getting change of clothes. They're getting some canned goods. That like this this is a good thing, guys. Let me know what you guys think. And thanks for watching. I'll see you guys in the next video. Peace. >> Yeah, exactly. But I don't want it to start progressing to where
